Satoshi's enthusiasm was not in the least bit surprising to John and Caismeir. If anything, their roommate's drive to find the Digital World instilled confidence in the pair. John stood up from his bed as Koromon hopped off of him and onto the floor. A broad smile came to the Tamer's face.
"Okay," started John, "then we'll have to do some research and figure out where an entrance to the Digital World will be." But as John thought about this, it raised the question; how would there be any information about an entry if people didn't know about Digimon?
His thoughts were interrupted when the flash of light appeared out of nowhere. It was an occurrence that John recognized in an instant. "Can it be?" As Satoshi made a bee-line to his room, John and Casimeir stayed on his tail so that they could investigate the familiar oddity. And just as they suspected, a Digivice had arrived.
The Tamer knew all-too-well the feeling of receiving that wonderful piece of technology. "It's a Digivice," John answered. "being that one arrived, then that means you're a Digimon Tamer!" But something was amiss, John and Casimeir knew that for certain.
The Koromon decided to ask what was on both his and John's minds. "Where's the egg?"
Satoshi was over the moon. He couldn't believe that he had actually been chosen for this! He nearly fell over with excitement. Unfortunately, the moment didn't last. John and Casimeir were concerned that some sort of egg hadn't appeared along with Satoshi's brand new Digivice.
"That's...concerning," Satoshi muttered. "Maybe it got lost in the mail?" His attempt to lighten the mood didn't even really seem to work on himself. How was he supposed to enjoy this new Tamer gig if he didn't have a Digimon partner to have fun with?
Then, Satoshi got an idea. "Hey, doesn't this give us more of an excuse to go to the Digital World? We've gotta rescue my Digimon, right?"
None of this was making sense to John nor Casimeir. As far as they knew, Digivices were generally given to those who had Digimon eggs of their own. John himself only got his Digivice after finding Casimeir's egg. Thankfully, their roommate's quip about lost mail helped lighten the mood, even if just by a little.
Satoshi's proposal helped instill a sense of purpose into John and his Partner. If "You're right!" John exclaimed. "If there was ever a good reason to visit the Digital World for the first time, then this is it!" The man clenched his fists in excitement now as he pumped himself up for the adventure.
Casimeir could almost feel his Tamer's positive energy. "What are we waiting for?" he asked with a drive behind his voice. "Let's go and find it!"
