Hazy Revelations [JunJun]

Junjo huffed, nibbling on the remaining bit of his yakitori, his cheeks only reddening as Asher affirmed this census that apparently the monsters and talking train ride had done him in.
"I'm not crazy. . ." he muttered, though now he sounded as though he were trying to convince himself more than anything else.
As he was questioned about his course of action he shrugged his shoulders and waved his chicken stick in little circles casually. "I dunno. My gut kind of tells me that I should follow it--it went towards the jungle over there. "

Tilting his head, a small smile remained across the redhead's lips. Maybe he was telling the truth. It was hard to tell if it was just a mental breakdown or not! "Alright. I believe you." Did he really? Well, that was hard to tell, coming from an actor!
Taking another bite of his food, the teen looked toward the jungle. That seemed dangerous. But, since when did Asher really care about his own safety? The only real downfall was a human being thrown into all of this! "If you really want to, we can check it out." This was going to end so badly! Asher could already see all the possible ways the adventure would go wrong! Who let a human wander this world?!
...Oh, right. He did.
"But, if anything tries to kill us, the first thing you're going to do is stay behind me. Alright?" That was the responsible way to do this, right? Okay, no. Asher was terrible at being the responsible adult in these situations! Either way, the redhead began to slowly walk in the direction that Junjo had mentioned.

Junjo seemed confused. "You do?" He asked curiously while poking his now empty stick lightly against his opposing finger tip.
"I do. . I feel like its pulling me. . .it's um. .its hard to explain." Junjo knew he sounded crazy. But considering a star creature just cooked him chicken he figured Asher would let it slide.
"Right behind you. Understood."
Junjo followed the red head, blissfully in a way. After all, that was what had gotten him into this predicament in the first place. Following Asher like a lost shiba-inu.

"Sure," the teen began to reason, "it's not like you've lied to me yet." At least, not from what Asher could tell! For all he knew, Junjo was even more of a nut than he'd already let on! But, it felt like the teal haired man had been pretty honest so far!
Giving a shrug, Asher decided not to think too heavily on any meaning behind what Junjo was thinking or what the Digital World could do to someone's brain. Was it possible for it to really mess with a normal human's mind? Seemed plausible. "Just don't let something actually pull you anywhere, alright?" That felt like a good deal to make in this situation!
Wandering toward the jungle, the actor pulled his digivice from his pocket again, just in case it became necessary. It was weird how such a dumb looking item would bring some sense of comfort or safety, wasn't it? "You're still going to have to tell us where we're going, though. I don't feel anything," he hummed, throwing a glance over his shoulder at the other man. Even lost puppies could have an idea of where they wanted to go, right?

Junjo nodded. "I don't lie!" He sounded confident in that fact. Maybe he meant to everyone other than himself. They continued on and Junjo tried not to get worked up over the idea of something actually pulling him away from Asher.
As they continued on Junjo found Asher's words to be odd. "Right! Well, it feels like. . .we need to go this way!" He pointed into the thick of the jungle. Not even the most worn of paths to greet him.
"Um. . by us. . you just mean the two or us, right?" He hoped there wasn't some invisible thing around that Asher wasn't telling him about.

Well, at least Junjo seemed pretty determined that he was an honest person. That was respectable. But, weird images or voices in one's head didn't necessarily mean that he was being entirely honest! It could just be that he was being tricked by me! But, Asher wasn't going to think too heavily on that concept right now. It was for the best that he wasn't going to get too worked up!
Looking at the direction pointed out, Asher subtly cringed. "Of course it's in the completely untraveled part of the jungle." That made it totally safe and couldn't be that Junjo was being brainwashed! Ugh! Offering a hand out, the redhead glanced at the sky. "This is going to be weird, but," he paused. Oh, this was so weird! Asher didn't really want to come off as a creep! "You should probably hold my hand, to make sure you don't get lost." Tall grass and sketchy jungles? That just screamed opportunities for a human to be stolen away with ease!
Thinking on the next question, the teen realized his word choice hadn't been intentional. "Yeah!" Or, uh, "mostly." This warranted a smile, remembering that Junjo wasn't really familiar with the Digimon thing. And, spirit users all seemed pretty different on their capabilities! "I mean, there are my spirits, but I don't know if they count as an 'us.'" There had better not be anything else around here!

Junjo frowned. "Yeah. . .not scary at all. . ." he muttered. "I'm sorry--thank you for doing this," he mentioned before something caught him off guard.
Hanging in the air for a moment, was Asher's hand. Junjo's cheeks started to warm as he stared at it. He reached out and took it, not really knowing how he should be acting.
He finally spoke at the mention of even stranger things. "Spirits. . .?" Junjo was pretty sure he had heard that right. Now HE had to make sure that Asher himself wasn't losing his marbles. "Um. . .what do you mean?"

"It's fine! Really," the teen reassured, with a smile. "I mean, what else are we going to do until the train's running?" Aside from, you know, relax at a peaceful beach. That could have worked, too.
At this point, Asher wasn't sure which would have been more awkward. Having his hand held, or being rejected. Either way, he tried to play it off as casually as possible, only providing a smile at the compliance. Beginning through the grass, they hopefully wouldn't have to worry too much about anything dangerous!
But, upon remembering that Junjo was still completely clueless to the world, the redhead hesitated a little. Carefully tightening his hold on the teal haired man's hand, Asher continued looking forward. "Ah, yeah," he hummed, trying to think of the best way to explain. "Do you remember in the train, when I called myself a monster?"
Giving a moment for a response, the spirit user still couldn't decide how to describe this. He wasn't a Certified Digimon-Explanation-Giver! "I turn into them." Would a werewolf be a bad analogy? Probably. Don't go with that one! "Spirits are Digimon that gave their bodies and powers to people. Like me. Does that make sense? At all?" No, Asher. It didn't make sense. It just made him sound more like a nutcase than before!

Junjo continued along through the jungle, hand in hand with his favorite red head, but then his attention was brought to something that Asher had said on the train. "Well, yeah. I remember."
He seemed a bit worried for the conversation to continue. He stared at Asher blankly. "Okay. . "
He looked down at the ground for a minute. "You're pulling my leg. . right? Making a joke?"

Biting down on his tongue, Asher continued several steps into the forest. Where were they going? He really had no idea at this point! The further they went, the less likely it was that anyone on the beach was going to be able to help them out if something jump-scared them! "You don't think I'd joke about calling myself a monster, do you?" For a brief moment, a slight static crackled in his tone, which was immediately covered with the teen clearing his throat.
Keeping a tight hold on the teal haired man's hand, Asher lifted up his free hand. "I don't really want to show you what they look like," he admitted, as casually as possible, "but, we're in a world full of things that can, and possibly will, try to eat you. You don't really think I'd be here, if I couldn't keep myself safe, right?" With such a 'motivational' speech, black coding warped out from the teen's palm, circling his hand, and pulsing out almost shadowy-looking smoke, rather than the light that some found accompanying their evolutions.
"I'm a Spirit User. I have spirits that might not even like me." Looking at you, Antylamon! Then again, nobody else had really vocalized how they felt about him, so maybe all of his spirits just hated him! That would really explain a lot! "What's the punchline, if this is a joke, anyway?"

Jun felt even more uncomfortable as they got deeper into the forest. "Digimon. . .can possess people?" He was uneasy about that fact. He hated ghosts! He continued on and stopped really paying attention to the ground.
He felt a bit more at ease however as the red head squeezed onto his hand. "Asher. . ." he started, staring at the odd coding.
Fractal. . .
"Fractal--It's called a Fractal Code." Junjo suddenly said as he watched the smoke pulse around the raised hand. He blinked. He somehow knew. As if the voice he had heard earlier had become his own.
"I'm. . .not good with jokes." he deflected, trying not to think about how odd this all was. He had to stay calm. After all he was trying to impress Asher and not totally scare him away!

"S-Sort of," the teen started, only hesitating in an attempt to not correct himself. "For the most part, I'd say it's more that the people possess them." Except, it was a really convoluted process that didn't necessarily equate to possession! But, close enough! Asher didn't want to admit that he had at least one instance where the Digimon was, in fact, capable of possession.
Raising an eyebrow, Asher gave a curious, "hm?" upon hearing his name. Then, it was Junjo's turn to confuse Asher! "Yeah. Fractal Code," he confirmed, as the shadowy entity pulsed again, as if agreeing. "How do you know that?" Was Junjo failing to tell Asher something important about this encounter? Maybe the teal-haired man was just playing dumb! Ugh. This was going to be really embarrassing, if it was a trick!
Managing a small laugh, the redhead gave a smile. "I'm not great at them, either. My cat can vouch for that." Whiskers hated Asher's jokes! Mostly because he could never take anything seriously! But, the teen was going to leave that part out!

Junjo shook his head. "I. . I don't know. It's like--I just knew it somehow. Almost like when I heard my name. .but this was. . already there inside of me somehow."
He sighed as they continued on. "I don't even know if all of this is real. I'm probably just having some really crazy dream and I didn't realize that I had fallen asleep. I mean. . you wouldn't be holding my hand in real life. . .w-would yo--Aghh!!?"
Suddenly, things didn't seem so simple. The ground gave way and sent them plummeting into darkness. Upon landing, which was cushioned by some very dense foliage, the two would see a uge underground cavern, however somehow light was filtering through. There were trees and plants lining the walls and there was a light at the end of the tunnel.
"Ow. . ."

Maybe, Junjo wasn't as crazy as Asher was thinking! But, it was definitely looking like the Digital World was taking a toll on him. Hopefully, nothing was trying to possess him! That would make for a huge problem! Especially considering Asher wasn't the most confident in using his own spirits right now! Not that he'd admit to that.
While listening to the teal haired man, Asher tried to ignore that the ground began to feel a little strange. Soft? Crumbly? Not quite stable. But, hey, it was the Digital World, and nothing was really normal here. Why should he judge the dirt?
Oh. Maybe because they were falling now. At that moment, the redhead released his hold on the other man's hand, in an attempt to avoid hurting him any more than the landing would do. But, rather than digivolving, he simply... let himself hit the ground. Or, oh! Cushioning? Well, this wasn't too bad!
Rolling up, from landing on his back, yellow eyes darted to look toward Junjo. Okay, so maybe he should have turned into at least his rookie form! But, what if it had scared the human? Instead, Asher had to deal with the wind being knocked out of him, and a slight daze. "Hey," he shuffled, testing to make sure that he hadn't actually hurt himself before moving too much. "Are you alright?"

Junjo's but and legs felt a bit tingly, but luckily they seemed to land on a bed of lush forestation, which made total sense in a cavern. . .right? Sure it did. Out of all of the things Jun had seen here in such a short amount of time, that was no surprise.
He looked to Asher. "I-I'm fine. . .are you okay?" He frowned as he scooted over towards the redhead to analyze him. "I have some bandages and medi-spray in my bag if you need some."
He began to shuffle around to pull it out. "A-and there's some swabs in here somewhere. I'm so sorry Asher! This is all my fault!" He complained, but soon it happened again.
Come to me...I've been waiting for you. Digi-Destined.
"Digi. . .what?" He had a blank expression on his face for a second as he turned towards the light shimmering at the end of the tunnel. "Asher. . .what is. . .a Digi-Destined? Is that. . me?" He dropped the medicine and started to walk towards the light, as if he was in half of a trance.
I've been waiting for so long. I just want to play. I just want to be free. Don't you want to be free too?
"Yes I want to be free."
You feel weak. . .I understand how that feels. Others laugh at us. Say we aren't strong like them--that we need protecting. But together, Junjo. We can be strong! We'll show them who needs protecting! Come to me!
"I. . .want to be strong." As he continued forward reaching out his hand, small orbs of light began to dance around vigorously in different colors, illuminating the walls of the cavern so that now engravings of ancient Digimon text could be seen. Several of them seemed to start to flutter around Junjo, as if they were drawn to him. Little did they know, they deep beneath the surface, something else was watching them. Something less pretty and a lot more aggressive.
