Twas the night before, actually it wasn't the night before anything really, it was just a regular end to a normal day. Though as normal as it could be while having a super powered fox lady and being something called a tamer. The ten year old kid simply sat in her large house, being the only human there. With Rena being the only digimon there at the time, nothing was going on just a kid laying down on a couch staring at the ceiling as if something was going to happen. It wasn't but it helped thinking it was going to. "We should go explore some more." She half told and asked the fox at the same time. "Tomorrow maybe, it's to late now." The large fox told the kid. However Kira simply got up trying to crack her neck, and failing since she didn't have to she just thought it looked cool. "Alright then, explore the digital world tomorrow, now I'm." She said backing up towards the door. "GoingoutsidebyeRena." She said all at once slipping out the door to look at the night sky. The rookie digimon simply looked at the door shaking her head. "Have fun M'lady." She said trusting nothing bad would happen to the kid.
And now Kira was outside staring at the sky, she didn't know why it was just fun for her to do this. "Ahh this is great." sitting against the door to her house she held her hands in her shorts pocket holding the digivice in her hand watching the sky, who knows maybe something else would fall out of the sky like her partner and digivice had.
An enormous figure barreled through a digital stream, rapidly losing it's original shape as well as it's massive size. As it shrank, it lost it's humanoid shape in favor of a more animalistic shape, four legs and several feathers on a tail. Kira's television sparked, and fizzled to life, as a nearby bush, right next to Kira, started sparking, brightly. The Bush created a circle of electricity, as it erupted, a horned ball of light emerged, which rapidly expanded into the same animalistic creature, before the light exploded, revealing bright red fur and plumage, with blue markings throughout the creature, seeing the living creature in front of him, the Elecmon's fur bristled, and the feathers on it's tail stiffened, like a peacock, as his whole body was charged with electricity. He rammed into the child, his lightning fast instincts convincing him to stick his forelegs out, as he slammed into the girl, and he forced himself off of her, flipping inthe air, landing on his hind legs, before falling backwards, realizing his legs were far shorter than what he was used to. As he landed, he rolled to his feet, noticing a small stiff leaf, falling through the air. He snapped it out of the air, the leaf sticking out of a corner of his mouth, as he glanced around, "It looks like I'm in the Human World. I made i-" He cut himself off, spotting the girl, and prancing forward, stumbling due to being unused to four legs, "Oh no! I'm so sorry! Are you alright!?" He yelled, his leaf staying in his mouth through what seemed to be only willpower.
Well now that wasn't exactly normal, glancing over at the strange bush as it sparked with electricity, something Kira knew would be most likely impossible through normal means Kira stood up about to either back off or investigate depending on what happened next. That was until a large ball of light emerged from the bush scaring the girl, she fell back down as it exploded scaring her again with just how odd that was. Then all she felt in the next moment was pain as something slammed into her knocking her against the wall and shocking her body as well as knocking the wind out of her. shakily she held her hands against the point of impact gasping for the air that was literally just hit out of her as she held her eyes closed.
And then being who she was she started crying holding her eyes closed, she didn't even get a good look at the thing that hit her but apparently it asked if she was alright. "N-nno." She said between sobs. "W-why did you hit me." she managed to get out. She also was able to open her eyes a little and despite her eyes being full of tears even she could tell what this was. "A digimon?" She asked confused, they were in the human world still right?
The odd newcomer grit his teeth, swinging a small paw at his stomach. This basically did nothing, and he raised his head, scanning the immediate area. looking around, he flung himself towards a nearby tree, "How DARE you! That was an innocent!" He yelled, winding himself against the tree, before forcing himself to his feet, realizing his muscles had grown much weaker than he remembered, as he almost collapsed, but forced himself to continue standing as he panted, gradually regaining his breath, he stumbled forward, bringing himself down, scraping his belly on the ground as he made a short bow, "Please forgive my absurd actions." He asked, closing his eyes.
Kira moved her hands away from her stomach wiping her eyes, just in time to see the digimon flinging himself at a tree before shouting at himself. Despite getting hurt herself the last thing she wanted was for someone else to be hurt. As he came back Kira had managed to stop herself from crying. "I-it's alright, I forgive you. I'm sure you didn't mean to." After all he just bowed to her and asked for forgiveness so he couldn't be that bad, right?
Well bad or not that wasn't about to help him out when the door nearby suddenly opened revealing the little girls partner, the tall fox Digimon walked outside glancing over at Kira and the newcomer, noticeable despite the scene she seemed rather calm at this whole thing turning around and staring right at the digimon and kid. "M'lady are you unharmed." She asked looking right at the kid. "Oh Rena, I'm. I'm fine, just a little accident is all." Kira quickly told her.
The Fox looked back at the shorter digimon giving off her usual cold feel about her before asking. "And who are you." She asked walking a bit closer
"A digimon...? Oh, greetings, I am Ban... Ban, I am Ban." He replied, turning to face the newcomer, he showed no discomfort with her exterior, on closer inspection, it was revealed that he was panting heavily, as though he had been stressing himself before arrival. "I appreciate your understanding, miss...?" ban said, peering around, before realizing something, "Oh, to be more specific, I am a wandering warrior, from the digital world. I used to be stronger, but I was forced to make sacrifices in order to reach the Human World, as I was pursued by the fiercest foes I have ever faced... I was separated from my comrades in the struggle. I cannot face them until I regain my strength." He explained, briefly and somewhat vaguely. His bold smile faded when he recalled his valiant comrades, before shaking it off, regaining his steely composure, convincing himself he will redeem himself, and, if necessary, avenge them.
Well that certainly wasn't what either side was expecting, though when he said miss Kira decided to chime in. "Oh right, my name's Kira, and that's Rena." She said introducing herself and her partner, Renamon though held her hand near her chin looking at Ban after he explained. "Well for M'lady's sake I must sadly admit it's good you're not stronger then you are now." Renamon pointed out, taking victories when you can and all that.
Kira finally shaking off the pain in her stomach stood up looking at Ban taking in what he said. "fiercest foes? Oh so you were fighting and then retreated to the human world." she said simplifying what he said, she did seem a bit sad when mentioning the fighting though. "Who were you fighting against, if you don't mind me asking?" She asked curious and a tad bit worried they might try to fight her.
"And if you don't mind me prying, why would you escape the the human world, are you sure they won't follow you?" Renamon questioned taking a quick glance around.
He looked away for a moment, frowning, "A group of fearsome mega leveled digimon, they claim to fight for justice and tright things like that when in reality, they only abuse their own power. Which is how I escaped." He explained, with confidence as he recounted his experiences, "I know they will not follow me. They believe this world is too filthy for their own appearances, although even if they wished to find me. They would need to abandon their own strength, which they treasure so much, in order to follow the path I took myself, which they would never dare do." He explained, his snout crinkling in disgust in remembering his foes. "They constantly squabble amongst themselves, each believing there is only one true form of good and evil." He sighed, "I'm sorry, I ramble sometimes." He apologized, speaking of his foes had gotten him riled up, and he realized this, shaking off the thoughts on the knights, "I AM however, curious as to how you two grew together, as a Tamer and their digimon." He said, obviously asking for their story, though he never asked.
Kira was confused at his claims. "Filthy? This place is pretty clean." While the abandoning strength thing was real that detail she said didn't make sense to the ten year old, so her partner chimed in. "M'lady that was a Idiom, they do not think of the area as uncleanly, except the entire world in concept is unwell." Kira then got it. "Oh that makes more sense, Kinda rude they think that but thanks Rena." But to the rambling Kira simply waved it off. "Nah don't worry, it's nice to hear about it just in case we happen to find ourselves around them, ramble as much as you'd like.."
Though to that question Kira was more then happy to explain. "Well I found the digi-egg that held Rena when I was lost in the park, it uhh fell out of the sky and almost hit me on the head. Kinda like what just happened with you minus the sky. I was kinda scared cause I had met some Tamers before this that told me Digimon were dangerous, so I was more or less pretty afraid of the concept of being partners to one. But Rena appeared before me, called me 'M'lady' A lot and took me home, since then We've been in, sadly more then a few dangerous situations in the digital world but Rena always manages to pull through, and apparently according to someone I met Marshal I'm a tamer Prodigy, cause we've blasted to Champion and Ultimate levels in the span of a week, which according to him is impressive."
Rena nodded agreeing with the smaller girl. "Indeed, as for my view on it, all I can say is I wish to protect Kira from any harm, human or digital. To that end anyone who tries to get in her way will deal with me. And I will leave it at that." She said keeping it short and sweet, though without giving any reason to why she wishes to do so.
He nodded at Rena, staring at her with sympathetic eyes, "I understand, existing to protect something, no matter how minute the thing in question is, is a valiant choice in lifestyle, though, would you two describe your partnership as Destiny or an accident? because from the sound of it, I would assume that it was Destiny, as "Rena" here seemes to recognize you immediately in your story, as for reaching Ultimate and Champion quickly, that doesn't surprise me, Renamon are almost always extraordinary fighters, even at Rookie form." he nodded, turning between the two, as he addressed them each differently, "hmmm, did you say that the digital world is easily accessed? If you don't mind, would you please teach me? If I can switch from the Human and Digital world, I would be able to regain my power much more quickly." he spoke, half to them, half to himself, he showed oddly advanced thinking for a rookie level, possibly advancing the Renamon in front of him.
\To that question Kira had to give it a good thought. "Destiny or Accident. It feels like destiny considering I met two tamers before meeting Rena, It might only make sense that the events would happen like that. And they are? I'm not that keen on information in the digital world as I should be." Though with that Rena simply gave a small laugh. "Well we haven't gotten this far on my good looks M'lady." Kira laughed alongside her partner for a moment. "Yeah fair enough."
Renamon was confused at that statement though. What power was to be gained in the human world she did not know. "If that is your goal I would ask that you tread lightly, Humans who have not yet met digimon do not know of their existence. It would be best to keep it this way since it might add some, complications to traveling between worlds." She didn't know if he knew this fact or not but retained a semi-serious tone in asking that. "It's fine during the night, like now."
In that time Kira removed her digivice from her pocket showing it to Ban. "And to travel between worlds there are two ways, one location in the Shibuya River and the other at the train station, I've used my digivice to get to them both times so I don't know if you actually can I've never seen a digimon in the human world without a partner." Kira admitted, this was a first.
Ban nodded, again, "I appreciate the warning. I shall try to lay low, and if I am spotted, I believe I can pass myself off as some wild animal, provided I don't speak." he pondered, aloud, before returning his attention to the tamer and her digimon. "I think the digivice was designed to turn things that aren't data into data in order to traverse worlds. Since I am already digital, I shouldn't have an issue." he explained, thinking, as he sat on his haunches, bringing one of his forepaws up to his chin, in thought,"in either case, I owe you two a great debt, your accepting me despite my foolish entrance and your kindness in sharing this information shall not be forgotten." he said, turning back and plucking a feather from his tail, "take this, if you pour your willpower into it, I will know to help you. Hopefully to repay this favor of yours." he thankes her, turning the feather in his mouth so that he aimed the point towards for her to grab.
Kira looked at her digivice for a bit while he talked. "Turn non-digital things into data huh." She thought aloud to herself before putting the device back in her pocket. "It's no trouble, that didn't even hurt, er that bad anyway." Kira said triumphantly trying to act tougher then she already was, to late for that they already saw you crying kid. Kira then reached over and grabbed the feather holding it in her hand. "If I pour my willpower into it? Alright then thank you for the gift. I'll make sure to treasure it." The little kid said cheerfully as she carefully pocketed the item.
"I hope you can regain your power soon Ban, and give those jerks that fought you what for." Kira told him, a tad bit unsure if he'd know what that meant but still with her usual happy voice.
Ban nodded, one last time as he turned, planning on finding this Shibuya River and Train Terminal, and making his way to the digital world, "I wish only the best for you two, grow strong, for each other's sake, and I'm sure you will flourish." hecalled, waving back as he stared down the streets. After a moment, he turned, calling once again, "do you have any form of map so I can traverse this area?" he yelled, up on his haunches again.
Kira waved after him. "Don't worry I'm sure we will, we're a unbreakable team." Despite having no evidence to support that, but then he asked for a map, Kira thought for a moment before smashing her fist in her open palm, a idea came to mind. Kira Ran inside for a quick moment, the sounds of something falling real quick and a small ouch could be heard but after a second she came out with a piece of paper, she quickly folded it into a paper airplane before she attempted to throw it, realizing she would probably fail she gave it to Renamon who threw it in a perfect arc towards the digimon.
"The portal is in the central area, just look for a river full of junk." Kira called out, the map was easy enough to understand right?
