"More like law in general. The ones in control never wish to change, stubbornly refusing to evolve, as it might hurt their reputation. The main issue is that not many want to risk making a mistake like that." He shrugged, finding limited meaning in condolences, before hearing the digimon's offer, "That is very kind, but my comrades have no doubt gone into hiding, and, since I was their figurehead, I doubt they would be making a commotion for you to track down. All I can really do, even with your help, is bide my time until I regain my strength, then I can stand, and my comrades will no doubt reveal themselves, as well." He explained, before frowning and thinking, again, "Though who knows how long that will take? months, years, decades... if I take too long, then most of my comrades will have moved on, likely with new lives, and a call from the past like that, I doubt all of them will respond, especially if they doubt that it's me, and that simply another has risen in my place. This is all a difficult situation, you see. and I can't seem to find any quick fixes." he sighed, sipping more of his tea, "I appreciate your offer, though, I truly wish this was an issue that numbers would solve, but I only have time as my solution, so far." He continued, leaning back on his chair, gently placing the cup on the table.

"I see..." Brad said, mulling over Ban's words. He didn't really understand though, "those in control", who were they? Brad didn't think the digital world had any kind of leadership structure, at least what he knew of. Wait... there was some kind of leadership in Luminas wasn't there? And what about Terminus and Whitewater? Surely there must be some kind of leader in those cities?
"Hmm, well, all I can say on that is good luck with it" Brad said about the prospect of his comrades moving on with their lives and forgetting about the fight to bring law to the digital world. "I wouldn't mind staying in contact though, just to see how you're going".
By now, the sun had set outside. It was a little early, barely 5pm, but, the sun set early in this part of the world. Soon lights - both kerosene and electric were lighting the room. It was a very cosy setting here in the large log building.
Brad's thoughts were interrupted by the Strabimon bartender who approached them. "Hi there. Sorry to interrupt, but are you two staying the night? You just might want to book a room before the usual crowd arrives".
"Hm? Oh. Yes please" Brad said, nodding in affirmation.
"One room or two?" Strabimon asked. "It's 120 bits per room per night by the way. There's separate beds if that's what you need".
"Oh, err..." Brad looked at Ban. "What do you think, Ban? Would you like to share a room?"

"I'm sorry to say, but I don't really have a way to stay in contact, I always preferred to contact people by meeting them in person." He muttered, "I guess all you can really do is hope for me, sorry about that!" He laughed, before noticing the wolf-like bestial approaching, and talking about staying at a room.
"Terribly sorry, but I should actually keep moving, besides, this place looks wonderful, but Relaxing is not something I can afford to do, I have neither the time or the willpower to resist comfort such as this," He smiled, politely, "Who knows? If I submit myself to some, I may just grow addicted, and I have enough to worry about, as is." He said, in a jovial mood, "I'm going to need to do some more intense training if I wish to return to my prime, and I can't afford many distractions." He sighed, "Thank you for your kindness, but I'm going to have to continue my journey, though I am glad to have run into someone such as yourself."

"Ah, okay then" Brad said, nodding. Not all digimon communicated with gadgets after all. He supposed he was just kind of used to meeting humans with D-Terminals and wished to keep in contact with them.
So Ban was going to leave? At this time of night in the North? Well... Brad looked outside, but, he supposed if Ban really wanted to go, he wouldn't stop him. Besides, it wasn't like it was the middle of winter or anything.
"Okay then. Best of luck on your travels" Brad said, smiling, offering his paw to shake. "I'm sure we'll meet again sometime, hopefully when the both of us are a bit more stronger". Brad felt that might be a helpful thing to say. A Super Mega being brought down to a Rookie must be very damaging for one's state of mind.
With that, Brad bade him goodbye. Afterward, Brad would have his dinner, talk to a few other digimon in the inn, before finally retiring to bed, curling up in his bed in a single room, dreaming about the adventures of Kuma and Gabu. While he knew deep down that he had to move on, he'd appreciate the memory, one last time.
