Oh? Twenty two? That was a much smaller age gap! "I'd have never guessed," the redhead hummed, trying to avoid looking around for dragons and ice maidens. It was so weird that they could just appear and disappear like that! Asher could only hope that none of his spirits figured out how to do anything similar!
But, of course Asher was joking about refusing service to dragons! He couldn't logically pass a rule like that! Just like he was joking about the girl's hair! "I try," he retorted, a small smirk slipping onto his lips.
The same smirk remained, listening to Alicia talk to herself. Was this a common thing for her? Hopefully so, because it was kind of funny! In a kind of offensive way, but still! "Goofball, huh?" Leaning closer to the table, to be at eye level, the butler's expression remained entertained. "Says the girl going into a cafe in disguise?" Who had the right to call the other a goofball here?! Though, Asher should really be careful about being in such close proximity to someone that had already caused so much alarm in a single day! Let alone taunting her! "I can't tell if I should be offended or flattered that he mentioned me." But, what, exactly, had Elliot been saying?
Oh, no. It couldn't have been about...
Remaining near eye-level with the guest, Alicia didn't have very far to look up when she had finally come back to addressing the introduction! "The pleasure's mine, Princess." After whatever the faux-teen had been mumbling to herself, it certainly didn't sound like she was pleased to meet Asher! "Even though, it sounds like you've heard about me before?"

She would not dignify that with a reply. The first time was just a terrible idea that should’ve been nipped in the bud from the get go. But this was a drastic measure to get an idea of where one of her little brothers had gone, and what was wrong with the other! It was necessary! But she doubted he would take that answer and so she decided to just leave that to lay undisturbed.
Wait… Why was he replying to- Oh darn it… “… I was speaking out loud, wasn’t I...” she groaned out in frustration as she put her hands on her head. “I’m so sorry… its just Elliot is so chipper and overly excitable that I… kind of took everything he said with a grain of salt. He had pretty much only good things to say, too, though. For whatever that may mean to you.”
Oh this was so embarrassing… The faux-teen shook her head and sighed to herself. “So… Maybe I over corrected in the other direction a bit too far. Jury’s still out on that one. Getting the feeling Elliot’s trying to play matchmaker certain doesn’t help...” Alicia finally noted with a deep sigh.
”Alicia and Ash-” Kisara started in the Spirit Users head, before she got cut off.
”No.” And that was the end of that.

Smirk shifted to a grin, as it became obvious that Alicia's thoughts were a lot more external than she had hoped. "Yeah. You were," the teen gave a small nod. But, that was what made it fun! And, honestly, made Alicia ten times less intimidating! It was really hard to find someone scary, if they mumbled to themselves like that! "I don't think Elliot's able to say bad things. About anyone," the redhead admitted, before straightening his posture again.
Elliot really was a good kid, wasn't he? Asher really needed to go check up on him sometime soon.
"It's fine. I'm used to it," the butler shrugged, hoping to make it clear that he wasn't overly concerned about whatever had brought Alicia to her conclusions. Except, wait.. "Matchmaker," he repeated, lowly. "With... us?" Well, that was... weird? Weird. Yes. That could be the right word. Entirely! "I should have known he wasn't going to forget about that." Elliot was too determined to forget something like that! Regardless of how much the redhead protested!
At this point, Asher was just glad that Kisara wasn't present to be giving her input on the subject. Or, the giant dragon adviser, for that matter! It would probably just make things awkward, if his short meeting with the ice maiden had been any indicator! "Now, if only Elliot knew that you were here, visiting me," the teen clicked, still smiling. Almost immediately, there was a shake of the head, "-I'm joking. Really." It was probably best to emphasize that before the dragon woman decided to give a reminder that she was actually capable of being frightening! "Scale of one to ten, how obvious was he being about his matchmaking?" If it was anything like his attempt with Asher, it far exceeded the range of the chart!
Though, the young man really couldn't figure out whether or not it was flattering that Elliot was trying to be so 'helpful' to either of them. But, who could shoot down such a nice kid, when he had been so excited about imaginary dates? Asher certainly didn't want to be the one to burst Elliot's bubble!

“On that, we can agree...” Alicia mused with a soft smile when it was mentioned Elliot could only see the good in people. So naive, that boy, and yet it was endearing. Though it still caught her off guard how quick on the uptake he could be… He would’ve been a terrifying boy if he didn’t have such a kind and gentle nature.
“Yeah. Apparently he thinks we’d be a perfect fit. Somehow. I personally can’t see it right now, no offense intended towards you. I get the feeling we’d be fighting like cats and dogs every day if we actually got together.” She couldn’t help but chuckle a bit at the thought, sighing. That boy some times…
The quip about her ‘visiting’ him like it was on purpose earned a brief half hearted glare, which subsided just as quickly when the butler quickly added on that it was just a joke. While she wouldn’t smack him or anything like that as she would with Kisara, she would’ve still made her annoyance known somehow if he’d actually started to get presumptuous. Scale? “Ehehe… reading between the lines made it pretty obvious, but he did actually try hard to hide his plans from me. So about a 4 if his hiding had worked, I’d say?”
That said, she was kind of having a bit too much Asher at the moment, and she still needed to wring what information she could out of him later! With that in mind, she clapped her hands together and smiled. “Thank you so much for your time and the meal!” she chimed, rising from her seat. “But I’m afraid I must be off now. See you soon?” Despite the question, she didn’t wait very long, giving a slight and respectful bow as she turned to pay up and leave the building. She was going to need those extra thirty to forty minutes to get her thoughts back in order.
Seriously, what did Elliot see in him that made him think pairing them up was such a good idea?

How, exactly, did Elliot find this a match made in heaven? Maybe the boy was really just grasping at straws with 'whatever adults he knew' for trying to match them together! "No offense taken," Asher chimed, "I can't see you as anything except a sixteen year old girl right now, which automatically makes this hard to imagine. That's like dating my sister." At least it would be clear that Asher wasn't that much of a creep. Though, a two year age difference wasn't really that bad, something about dating a sixteen year old wasn't appealing in the slightest. Maybe that image would alter once he could actually envision Alicia at a more appropriate age. Or not! It was hard to tell!
"Not trying to prove your point," the redhead began, while fixing his glasses on his face, "but, I would have to disagree on the fighting." Then again, maybe that would be horribly incorrect, if the two just blatantly didn't get along! "My jokes may come off badly sometimes, but I don't actually like arguing." At least Asher was self-aware enough to know that his jokes had a bad tendency of irritating people!
Proof was in that glare that he was getting! "At least he wasn't that bad, then. I guess," the teen sighed, with a shake of his head. Elliot was either really bad at hiding his intent, or he was actually hoping that everyone caught on! Maybe it was both? It was really tempting to message that kid right now!
Choosing not to think too heavily on the subject for now, the butler gave a nod. "Of course." Providing a bow, the actor followed up with, "I certainly hope to see you soon, Princess." Easily gathering up the mess from the table, Asher disappeared to the kitchen before Alicia could get the opportunity to pay.
Mostly because, once Alicia would look at her bill, she would find that everything was already paid for. And, the redhead really didn't want to worry about her hunting him down for whatever the cost was of her meal! At least, not while he was at work. ...Maybe he should have thought that part through.
The rest of the shift was mostly spent trying to keep away from the front, until Asher was sure that Alicia couldn't still be inside the cafe. She was kind of crazy, wasn't she? What, did Elliot think two different sorts of crazy just meant that they were meant to be? It looked like it had chances of being more explosive than anything! "Mmm," the teen hummed, trying to figure out what Elliot might have been going for. Maybe there was some reason, that Asher was just missing for the time being?
...Or Elliot made for a third crazy person in this entire scenario. It was probably that.
Once his shift ended, the young man switched from his uniform to a much more casual outfit of jeans and a hoodie. Per policy, the Asher slipped out the back door of the cafe, in an attempt not to break the image of butlers also being regular human beings. Pulling his hood up, he began up the alley toward the front of the building. Bailing could be interesting. But, Asher wasn't particularly fond of finding out just what the power difference was between him and a perceived-to-be-sixteen-year-old!
Reaching the end of the alley, Asher took a deep breath, before turning right. Hopefully, actually listening to the 'request' wasn't going to be a mistake.

Alicia had been pleasantly surprised at the fact that her bill had been paid for already, smiling softly. Heh, what comes around goes around for both good and bad, is that it? She was out the door soon after and tucked away where she said she’d be waiting for him. A light shimmering later and she was back to her normal, face-scarred self. With a sigh she traced the scar with one finger. Sometimes, she wished she could fix that permanently. It was such an eyesore after all. But it had grown to be a part of her, proof of her will to survive. It would feel wrong to truly get rid of it at this point.
At this point, it was just a matter of waiting, leaning against the wall and humming to herself. What could she do now? She still had a good half hour to get her thoughts in order…
Sol appeared at her side and looked at her. ”Anything you wish to get off your chest before you meet him for real this time?” the dragon spirit asked in concern. Alicia smiled up at him and sighed.
“Not really. I just might need a little help keeping myself on track and not… well, chase him off, you know?” Alicia answered back. The dragon spirit nodded and faded away again, and Alicia waited in silence again. What could she say to her advisers that she hadn’t said already?
As the appointed time drew closer, the dragon spirit knocked gently, taking to being a metaphorical alarm in this scenario, which helped Alicia focus and turn to face Asher as soon as he arrived again, smiling. “Oh… good, the little head bunny didn’t get her way. It would’ve been quite inconvenient if you didn’t show up. Thank you, Asher.”
Aside from the obvious things such as; looking six years older, having a scarred face, and carrying herself far more confidently then the sixteen year old faux-teen had appeared to, it was pretty apparent this was Alicia. In her natural human form it seemed. Still, despite being a clear progression from the faux-teen from earlier and Alicia’s current self, it had to be quite the jarring change!

Re-meeting Alicia was certainly an experience that Asher hadn't fully been expecting. For some reason, he had still been imagining young-Alicia, but somehow magically not young. Which, really, was what Alicia currently was, but it still wasn't the same! Maybe, Asher was just bad at imagining altered appearances. Yellow eyes flickered from the ground up to Alicia's face, fully processing that this was actually the same girl. Of course it was! Nobody else would have that kind of resemblance!
Fixing his focus on the woman's face, Asher avoided examining Alicia's scar too much, instead prioritizing eye contact. "I don't listen to her, when I can avoid it," he hummed, with a small smile. So far, so good. He wasn't being dragged around or threatened, so everything was alright!
"And, I thought I told you that I wasn't going to run," he added, placing a hand in his pocket, brushing fingers across his digivice. There was still plenty of reason to be on-edge, right? Even though Alicia was becoming progressively less intimidating, even with her more confident stance! "So, do you want to talk here, or somewhere else?" The idea of talking about Digimon in public, just outside of his workplace, wasn't really appealing! Heck, Asher didn't even like to be seen near the front of the cafe after his shifts. It just made things weird! Maybe, the redhead just didn't really want his customers seeing him being a normal person.
After a moment, it seemed that eye contact would fail, as the young man's eyes shifted to scan over the scar. Catching himself, he shifted to glance back at the cafe. "I don't really want to spend my whole day at work, you know?" Yes, just keep acting like that's his only focus here!

Alicia couldn’t help but sigh in relief, looking down with a smirk on her lips. “I know, I know. I just didn’t want to find out you would be the kind of guy who’d just say what someone wanted to hear to get yourself out of a tight spot in the moment. I’m sorry for suspecting such a thing of you.” She had been concerned, as the younger boy seemed a bit too smooth in maintaining his role as a butler in the cafe.
In stark contrast to him being decidedly on edge, she relaxed her stance. Little things in her posture gave it away that any actor worth his salt would be able to notice. Muscles loosened up. Arms ‘hanged’ at her sides instead of being primed for a quick move of some kind. Her shoulders sloped down a bit more as her shoulders followed suit in releasing their tension. An odd softness fell over her face despite the scar. Either she didn’t view him as a possible threat, didn’t want to be seen as such, or some other reason.
That wasn’t to say any of her confidence went away. She was someone who’d put in the hours to scrape together a good living for herself over the last few years. Further more she was now a very much capable warrior who had seen and overcome deathly scenarios. Sometimes she was all alone, others she had assistance, but the fact still remained that for the time being she had triumphed over and endured through certain death itself, more then once even. She had every right to be confident in herself.
Of course, the question came up as to where to discuss the topic, and to this Alicia shrugged. “If we’re quiet enough, here does work. But I understand the feeling of wanting to be far away from your workplace when your shift is over. Fortunately, I’ve recently gotten a handy new addition to my digivice, courtesy of the efforts my advisers put forward. They call it a Digiport, and this particular one is strong enough and accurate enough to take me and four other people anywhere in the Digital World or Shibuya itself. Though if we want to go somewhere in Shibuya from here, we’d need to take a quick split-second jaunt to the Digital World and then jump back where we want to be.”
With a shrug, Alicia tilted her head back and closed one eye. Pulled her digivice out, she smirked to the actor. “Just say where and we’ll be there in a flash to converse more about this.”

If only Alicia knew how wrong that concern had been. Considering Asher was the type of person to place himself in bad spots to keep other people safe, the woman was practically thinking in opposites! "It's fine," the redhead shrugged. There really wasn't much reason to be offended over a stranger's assumption! "I'm sure there are plenty of people that wouldn't have shown up." Like people that were sane! Clearly, a trait that Asher was lacking!
The more the teen observed Alicia, the less intimidating she became. And, in turn, the more relaxed Asher grew. Still, his hand remained in his pocket, just to provide himself with an extra sense of comfort. After all, this still felt like odd circumstances for meeting with a stranger.
"Mmm," the actor hummed, casting another glance toward his workplace. "I have a few regulars that would probably," or definitely, "get offended if they saw me out here, spending time with pretty women." It was always strange how entitled some customers thought they were! It might also be strange to call anyone pretty that he had just met, but Asher had never really processed that. In fact, he still hadn't realized the potential error in word choice.
Instead, he was thinking about how far Alicia was ahead of him, in all of these Digital World experiences. Enough so, apparently, to have a portal that could leap through the worlds. "Well, that sounds useful," he mused, thinking about all of the places that one could go. Which, really, was anywhere! Not that Asher would probably have much use for the item, considering he rarely knew where he was in the Digital World, anyway. Though, it would bypass those annoying trains...
But, now he had to consider where they would want to discuss something like this! "I guess that depends," the young man began, "are your advisers going to be taking part in the conversation? Because, I feel like the Digital World would find that less strange." After all, having conversations with invisible strangers was already weird enough, without other people observing someone's assumed madness!

Well, that had been an unexpected choice of words! Alicia couldn’t help the small blush on her cheeks as the butler spoke about how his customers would react. Maybe he wouldn’t notice it like how he seemed to be unaware of the phrasing itself? Oh well, nothing to be done about it now. “Well, wouldn’t want to upset the regulars, truly...”
”Sitti-” Kisara started again, and Asher was treated to the Steel Spirit Wielder whirling to turn away from him and hissing harshly.
“That. Is. Enough! Will you cut it out, Kisara!?” Alicia had tried to keep that as low as possible, but being overheard by the other spirit user was inevitable. At least she managed to keep it from the public at large. She would have to just live with that small victory.
”Would you rather I ship you and Karin again?” Kisara joked with a hidden grin. Alicia just sighed and shook her head. Once more she had to acknowledge that Kisara was insufferable but ultimately just poking fun. Running a hand through her hair, the Steel Spirit Wielder made a slash in the air with her D-Scanner, opening up the portal.
“I happen to know a quite spot where we’ll be more or less alone in the Digital World, so if you’d step through, please...” Alicia noted to Asher, before passing into the portal herself first. Hopefully this wouldn’t cause too much of a fuss. If the butler took a moment to look through, he’d notice that what Alicia had in mind was something of a quiet beach of some sort. Apparently said advisers would be insisting on being more directly involved.
Which means the ice maiden would be making another appearance. Joy.

While it was easy for Asher to be completely oblivious to his own actions, it was awfully hard not to notice other's. Such as the blush on Alicia's face! Maybe she was just warm. Who knew? Asher certainly didn't! Especially with how quickly she spun away from him to talk to herself!
If the redhead hadn't known anything about the creatures in Alicia's head, he'd surely think of her as crazy at this point! "Are you alright?" Surely, it wasn't anything to worry over, but it only felt right to check. After all, if there were dragons and strange women in his head, he'd probably want someone to check on him. ..Oh, wait. All of his spirits were strange women. Maybe he'd retract that thought, then. Though, it was hard to tell if dragons were a cause for concern.
While hard to tell if stepping through strange portals was also a cause for concern, Asher seemed to be intent on doing it anyway. "Sounds good," he hummed, watching the woman step through first. If she was willing to be the demonstration for such a weird thing, it had to be at least somewhat safe, right? And, if there were no apparent protests from a certain rabbit, it couldn't really be that bad. Or it meant that the situation was about to become absolutely horrible, and Antylamon planned to love every second of it.
Glancing around one last time, the young man took a deep breath before following through the portal. There went his last chance to get away from the situation, it seemed. But, at least the image on the other side had looked pretty pleasant.
