Alicia’s eyes had widened as she heard the dog utter a phrase for a counter attack. But it was too late, she had already put so much momentum into the attack that she was going to hit regardless. And then a literal guardian angel appeared to help her out. Granted, it was via tackling her off the hound, but given the alternative she was grateful none-the-less.
“Thanks for that, Angemon...” she grumbled out, wincing a bit as she felt the jolt as well. Again, in her spirit her Steel shifted more... and she began to realize what was supposed to go there. “Hrrrm...”
”Time to put that light Human Spirit to use, I believe.” Kisara quipped to Alicia and grinned.
“Angemon...” she mused out as she flowed from his grip and righted herself, helping the angel up as well. “Our powers... our energy... there’s a reaction between them.” she whispered to him, narrowing her eyes. “We’re both in no condition to continue the battle like this... But if what I’m feeling is true...”
”It is. Now is the time to summon a power beyond both Steel and Light by truly merging them together.”
Alicia nodded to herself, and reverted without much fanfare to SolSaberdramon, taking Angemon’s hand. Now the spark was far stronger, raging wildly between them. Mitsuko’s D-3 and her D-Scanner both started reacting, glowing a brilliant radiance. Power welled up as the words came from them in turn unbidden.
“Let our hearts beat as one.”
Alicia stepped forward grasping her blade and holding it out at Cerberumon.
"Holy rays temper the many blades"
With that Angemon had taken a post behind Alicia, wings folded and staff held at a diagonal, head dipped a bit lower then normal.
“Blessed steel carries the cause of justice”
Planting her shield into the ground, power in the form of lightning sparked around them, a circle of light expanding out from under their feet. As one their voice rang out to finish the chant.
“Our wills unite to shelter our dear comrades!”
Alicia raise her blade high as Angemon’s wings spread out wide, loosing numerous feather as sight of them was blocked by a column of light.
”Angemon...”
“SolSaberdramon...”
”DNA Digivolve to...”
”SaviorHackmon!”
With a slice of numerous blades, the merged figure burst from the light with a back flip. Landing on bladed legs, the draconic warrior reached behind itself and, in a flourish of motion with its hands, released its long red cape which fluttered behind it. Eyes snapping open, SaviorHackmon took a ready stance with it’s arms raised, the blades on the gauntlets gleaming.
”I dare say it’s time for round two.” the dragonoid quipped. It’s voice seemed to primarily be Alicia’s, but still had significant overtones of Angemon. Not to mention Alicia’s part sounded a bit more masculine then before.

Cerberumon roared in defiance. "And you think you stand a better chance? Please." The ultimate level digimon barked a small laugh as he sauntered towards the DNA Evolved form. "Besides hasn't anyone ever told you two heads are better than one. And I've got three! Either way, you still lose."
"And quality always beats quantity." Angemon's voice (muddled with Alicia's) quipped back, which earned them an earsplitting roar in return.
Mitsuko took a few steps back as she watched this new form before her. It was impressive. The two champion digimon forged into one! She had never seen anything like this before. If they were fighting, so could she. Mitsuko wiped away an angry tear as she locked eyes with the self assured demon dog. "Time for this human to show you what she's really made of!"
"Enough talk. Let's party." Cerberumon said as he launched himself into the air once again, his mouth glowing with an emerald green hue. "Hellfire Blast!" He said, as he launched a conical stream of flames towards SaviorHackmon.
Mitsuko was tired of being the one over looked, yes she was on the side lines, but she could now do something to help!
This creature focused on darkness and fire. Mitsuko was sure she saw a card that could tip the scales in their favor... The silverettes eyes glittered in triumph. Angemon and Alicia were battling with their lives. The least she could do was assist them, in any way she could. "Digi-Modify: Terabyte Sanctuary... Activate!"
Mitsuko swiped the card through her D-Arc in an elegant, yet swift, motion. The card glowed a soft golden light, as the area soon exploded from a dark dingy den, into a sanctuary full of light. The smell of vanilla, sandalwood, and frankincense filled the air, as did the sound of church bells. For once, Cerberumon's eyes widened in horror. Whatever she did, it was definitely a good thing. "Alright guys, take him down!" Mitsuko called out, holding the glowing card above her head.

”Two of your heads are just empty shells anyways, they don’t count.” Alicia shot right after Angemon with a grin. So we’ve got both quantity and quality.”
The dragonoid glanced behind itself as they heard Mitsuko shuffle a bit before she burned with an even brighter resolve then before. Alicia would’ve commented on that as well, but the hound of hell before them didn’t give them the time, launching his flames at them again. Looks like it was time to throw do-
Wait. Digi-Modify? When? Suddenly the area was flooded with brilliant rays, banishing the shadows from even the farthest corners of the den. SaviorHackmon in turn took a breath as Alicia felt their fused body fill to bursting with holy power, a link to such granted to her with Angemon’s assistance. Cerberumon seemed to also realize what it meant, if his new expression was any indication. Of course Mitsuko gave some cheer support as well as altering the terrain to their favor. You got it, Mitsuko!”
Tapping one bladed leg against the ground, Alicia smirked and started channelling all that energy, the limb glowing in response. ”RAGE QUARREL!” Their voice came as a roar as the dragon lifted his leg and brought it down in an axe kick, loosing a golden arc of energy. The focused nature of the attack alone would’ve broken through. With the boost from turning this area into a holy ground?
The holy arc ripped through Cerberumon’s flames like they weren’t even there, cleaving through them to fly at the hound undeterred. And SaviorHackmon wasn’t far behind, closing the distance to discourage any further ranged attacks and be ready and able to bring all blades to bare upon their foe.
Battlelog
SaviorHackmon rips the Hellfire Blast apart with a boosted Rage Quarrel, which is still on course to strike Cerberumon as well. They’re also repositioning to better engage Cerberumon on their terms.

If the hell beast didn't have a mouth full of flames right now, he would have said some very rude things in the presence of a lady. However all he could do was widen his eyes and try to tilt his body to brace for impact. A sound between a yelp and a growl, as the Rage Quarrel attack broke through the Hellfire and sliced a deep gash into the front left flank streching towards his back. With the minor change in his jump, he was pushed back at a different angle than what SaviorHackmon had once anticipated. The demon dog landed with a soft thud, his leg propped up in injury.
"You shall pay for that." He spat towards SaviorHackmon "I will not be defeated by the likes of you!" He tried to take a step forward, but faltered as his leg couldn't fully bear his weight. His eyes glittered with rage, as he attempted to take another step forward. However this time he found he couldn't move forward, something was holding him in place. Angelic spirits. His eyes widened once again, before settling upon the human girl once again. "YOU!"
Whatever he was going to say was cut off by a stream of fire that hurled its way back towards Mitsuko. Her eyes widened in disbelief as the newest attack came back at her... again! Mitsuko wasn't sure if SaviorHackmon would make it in time!
Battle Log:
1. Cerberumon tilts his body to help minimize the damage done, but still takes a hefty blow to the front flank. 2. Cerberumon is now trapped by Angelic Spirits due to Sanctuary. 3. Cerberumon sends another Hellfire Blast at Mitsuko. 4. Terabyte Sanctuary 2/3

SaviorHackmon grinned as the Rage Quarrel hit home with ease, alas the beast was able to get out of their ideal range with that shift in it’s movement. ”All you’re doing right now is reaping the retribution you yourself have sown. This course shall only end one way, with your defeat.” Already the holy dracoknight was moving to close the distance once more as he spoke. Their eyes widened in surprise and outrage as Cerberumon once more turned his attack upon the otherwise defenseless Mitsuko.
”You fiend! We’re your opponent, hound of hell!” Alicia was certain Angemon would be similarly upset with the hound’s actions, its just that she got the retort off first. Fortunately they were already moving. That would let them get into position and have enough time to counter back.
With a roar, SaviorHackmon redirected himself at blinding speeds. Mitsuko may have doubted their speed, but Alicia held no such doubts. She knew what she was capable of by herself. With Angemon and her working together like this? There was little that could stand in their way. Grasping their cape, SaviorHackmon drew it around their body, channeling vast amounts of holy energy. ”Metal Coat!”
The cape shimmered and glowed as the fire connected with it, seeming to catch and gather until Cerberumon had finished breathing them. For a moment it might even seem that SaviorHackmon was cooking alive in the blazing cloth. Then their eyes gleamed from the inferno, the flames turning pure white as SaviorHackmon condensed the and flared his cape out, launching it back at high speeds as a condensed orb of light-charged flames.

Alicia was right about one thing, Angemon was certainly outraged. However his voice was currently drowned out because of the rather explicit suggestions of where Cerberumon could shove his hellfire. Although their voices weren't in the same place, their minds and body were!
As the attack was gathering upon their cloak, Angemon's voice floated down towards Mitsuko. "Don't worry Suki-Chan, we've totally got this!" Mitsuko blinked back her tears as she nodded. Yeah, they totally did.
Cerberumon's eyes widened again as his own attack was returned right back at himself! To make matter's worse, it was even combined with holy energy. "Aww f-" Before he could even utter the rest of that unladylike sentence he was blasted off of his feet and thrown across the room. A loud thud resonated within the chamber as the final echoes of church bells rang out. Slowly the light dimmed, and the room was back to its usual demeanor.
A cross between a snarl and a whimper escaped from the hell hound. As he stood up parts of his armor were melting off and hitting the floor bursting into bits of data upon impact. "No..." the beast snarled at SaviorHackmon "Your all... my opponent." His earlier arrogant manner was now gone, as was his presumptuous saunter. Now all that remained was pure hatred and a limp that grew worse by the moment. His amber eyes flickered with the flames that burned within his soul. He had one last chance, he had to make it matter. Mustering all of his strength, his body resonated a dark aura.
"Inferno Gates!" Cerberumon cried, as the last bits of his armor exploded into data. His barking laugh rattled deep within his throat. "If I go down, so do you..."
Dark portals opened up randomly around the room, the sounds of hellish screams emanating from them. With another laugh, Cerberumon fell into his own void, more data breaking from his body. However gristly that sight was, it wasn't anything compared to what SaviorHackmon would see if they would turn around.
A portal opens up beneath the silverette, as hellish screams masked Mitsuko's own. As her own body crosses the threshold of Cerberumon's portal, it begins to close.
Battle Log:
Cerberumon takes extreme damage from Metal Coat.
Terabyte Sanctuary 3/3. Arena is now back to normal.
Cerberumon uses Inferno Gates to open portals to Hell.
Cerberumon and Mitsuko fall into separate gates.

SaviorHackmon huffed as the counterattack hit home, folding his arms over his chest. ”It’s over, Cerberumon...” they stated plainly. It was an undeniable fact, the damage Cerberumon had sustained was certainly fatal. Parts of his body were breaking down around him. And yet the beast still had one last attack up his metaphorical sleeves.
The dracoknight’s eyes widened as the portals began to tear open, leaping to evade another such portal as the hellhound fell into his own attack and presumably would perish shortly after that. Fortunately, his hearing was very sharp, letting him pick out Mitsuko’s scream from that of the abyssal cacophony ”Mitsuko!”
”Damnit, and this form can’t fly...! ... Sorry in advance, Angemon” the angel digimon would probably feel the spirit user ‘look’ at him with a wince, regretting what she was about to do.
With a brilliant shimmer, Alicia forced their fused form to come apart. In an instant SaviorHackmon became Angemon and SolSaberdramon once more. And Alicia quickly used the poor angel’s body as a spring board to launch herself to the portal Mitsuko had fallen into.
“Stained Steel shall be hidden in shadows... Slide Evolution! ShadowArmsdramon!” A dark mist overtook the knightly dragon’s body for just a moment, before it’s opposite was revealed, true wings beating hard to close the distance. They were both with in the closing portal, and Alicia grasped Mitsuko’s wrist, pulling her close.
“Don’t worry about me, okay...? And I’m sorry to you as well.” she said softly to the silverette. Before even letting her reply, the dark dragon swung herself around and threw Mitsuko back out to safety, just in time to get the tamer through the portal before it sealed shut.
...
But where was Alicia? She hadn’t fluttered her way back out. There hadn’t been any time for that... It appeared that she had traded her own life for Mitsuko’s on the surface.
“Yikes... that was way too close.”
Suddenly the ninja dragon could be heard from the darkest corner of the ravaged den, stepping back into the light. She was visibly injured from her brief jaunt into the Inferno Gates, one eye held shut and her light armor in tatters. But she was alive as well. “Sorry for scaring you guys.”

"Sorry... sorry for..." Before Angemon could even finish his question, he felt his body defuse with that of Alicia's. Then he was literally kicked to the curb, as he watched the spirit user dive in after his partner. "No! Mitsuko.... Alicia!" Before he could say another word, his energy severely depleted. He hadn't held a form like that before, and it took a toll upon his body. A burst of data later, a small pink digimon was running towards a dark portal.
Mitsuko's scream ended when she felt something grab her wrist. "A-Alicia!" What was going on? What was she going to do? So many questions filled her head, but the fiery pits were closing in all around them. And she was apologizing?
"What are you sorry abo-" Her question ended in a shrill shriek, as she was literally thrown out of hell. For a moment, Mitsuko was suspended in air, watching the last of the portal close. "No.. Alicia. NO!"
It was too late. When the silverette had landed, the portal had closed. And her partner had lost power all the way back to Tokomon!
"No. No. NO!" Mitsuko slammed her fist into the ground, as if she could force the portal to open back up. "NO!"
Heart wrenching sobs broke through Mitsuko's body, as her fist slammed down again. "No... this isn't right. It isn't supposed to end like this!" The girl slammed her fist once again, this time the pain registering upon her face. "Alicia...." Mitsuko's tears dripped onto her hand, where they mixed with a bit of blood that had come from her hands scraping the stone. Tokomon rubbed his head against Mitsuko's arm. He himself was at a loss of words. Imagine, losing the close bond that he had just experienced. It was as if part of himself had been ripped away.
That was until she heard another voice. Mitsuko screamed three octaves, until she realized, it was Alicia. Tokomon's head snapped up at the voice. Sorry for scaring them? Alicia was going to be the one that was sorry the next time Tokomon could digivolve! However, the threat was unvoiced, as Mitsuko and Tokomon threw themselves onto Alicia.
