|ENTER; from Shibuya Terminal|
A dull light shone through the window of the Trailmon. Kitsumaru peered through it but it was moving too fast for him to make out what anything was until, suddenly, intense lugh burst forth. He had now exited the dimly lit tunnel and now found himself in a station full of Digimon. He even saw a few humans among the crowd.
Kitsumaru stood up and steadied himself. He wondered how long he had been riding on the Trailmon. Judging by past experience it wasn't nearly as long as it seemed. He approached the door, pausing before it slid open. The smell of steam and combusted material enveloped him. Reaching into his pocket, he slid is fingers over his D3. It felt much warmer now than it ever had in the past several years. He looked around, expecting to see his hamster-bat companion striding toward him but he saw nothing.
To his surprise, not much seemed to differ from the last time he had been here. The only difference he could think of was that his last trip to the terminal was after a long bout of inner conflict that nearly consumed his very soul. He shudder at the thought of it but shifted his focus as he recognized someone.
His heart leapt at the sight of a tall, blonde angel with bright, white wings. Kitsumaru began sprinting toward the angel, murmuring apologies as he shoved digimon out of his way. 'Of course," he thought to himself.'Five years has been more than enough time for him to grow into his adult stage!' He quickened his pace.
"Angemon!!"
As the angel turned about, Kitsumaru's heart dropped violently. The digimon was not Angemon. It looked just like him, but it was most definitely not Angemon.
The angel possessed red cloth where Angemon's would normally be blue, and the helmet he wore had shone a different symbol. Kitsumaru was no staring at this digimon, his ears now a searing red.
"Pardon me, human, but I am not who you think I am. My name is Pidmon. Do not feel embarrassed. I get mistaken for my variant often."
An odd-looking kappa digimon who Pidmon had been with smirked playfully at Kitsumaru. "If it were me, Pidmon,I would be awfully excited to see your kind around here. Holy Digimon don't usually make time for us common-folk!" Pidmon chuckled at this and said, "Shawjamon. You need better jokes!"
Kitsumaru laughed a bit and said, "My mistake. I thought you were a friend of mine. My partner actually. I haven't seen him in a long time. The last I saw of him he was a Tokomon who had reverted from a Patamon. Long-story short: I'm looking for him but have no idea where to find him."
Pidmon gave Kitsumaru a look of sympathy. His companion gave a similar look and said, "Listen, buddy. Tokomon are real common but if your Digimon evolved without you around they could be something entirely different if they aged without your aid. I'm sorry, kid, but your best bet is to find a new partner."
A new partner? The very thought of this sickened Kitsumaru. He couldn't imagine the Digital World without Patamon. He couldn't bare to give up. He straightened his posture, thanked the two Digimon, and found a quiet part of the station wherehe began to think and mull over his next plan.

Ko hurried off the Trailmon he had arrived on, desperate to find his way back home. After waking up in a night club to a drunken Wizardmon, Ko wanted nothing to do with this place. His eyes darted around the terminal, sizing up the interesting-looking digimon moving about. He looked down at Pabumon who was hazing back up at him as if expecting some sort of order. Ko smiled, hoping to lighten the mood a little.
Ko picked Pabumon up carefully and began walking along, trying to get an idea of which Trailmon looked the most likely to bring him back home. He didn't want to ask each and every one of them, as there were far too many and it would take him all day. Ko sighed and he began to feel his anxiety begin to arise.
Pabumon made a little squeak as a human boy seemed to get off one of the Trailmon. Ko looked up and his heart sprang out of his chest. This was it! The way back! Ko began to make his way through the crowded platform, keeping his eyes trained on the young man. The closer he got to the him, the more desperate he looked. It was as if he was looking for someone.
"Angemon!"
Ko sped up as it seemed the guy found who he was looking for. As Ko broke from the crowd he noticed the man looking very disdraught. Ko felt bad for him. Before Ko could get close enough to talk to him, the boy wandered off into a corner where he looked to be lost in thought. Pabumon also seemed to be looking at him sympathetically.
Ko twiddled his D3 in his free hand as he approached the stranger. He felt nervous to be approaching another human. It felt like it had been years since he last talked to one. He cleared his throat softly and said, "Hi. My name is Ko. I'm trying to get home. If you help me get home..." Ko felt the desperation rise up from his core, "...I-I will help you find Angel-Man...or Ange-moon...whoever you happen to be looking for."
Ko could feel sweat trickle down his jaw as if at any moment he was going to be hit by a bus.

Kitsumaru turned things over in his mind thinking of every possibility. He tried thinking of the most likely place for Patamon to go or be. He quickly felt daunted by the large sum of possibilities, thinking if the expansive world he was now in.
"Hi. My name is Ko. I'm trying to get home. If you help me get home...I-I will help you find Angel-Man...or Ange-moon...whoever you happen to be looking for."
Kitsumaru looked up at the shy-looking boy and plainly said, "The way back is via Trailmon. That rust-colored one over there will take you back if you ask nicely." Kitsumaru began to rack his brain again in hopes of finding his partner. Kitsumaru nearly didn't catch the fact that he didn't introduce himself. "Ah!! Ko was it? I'm terribly sorry to ignore you like that. I'm usually not this distracted. I'm Kitsumaru. Kisumaru Amane. I'm looking for my partner digimon, Patamon. Er--well he could actually be any Digimon right now..."
Kitsumaru frowned as he felt unease well up once more. He tried shaking it off, hoping Ko wouldn't notice. He noticed the small green Digimon in Ko's arms and he stood up immediately. "Right. That's it. The place where all Digimon are born. That's my starting point!" With a fresh look of determination on his face, he smiled at Pabumon and Ko. "I'm going to keep searching for my partner. You can come along if you'd like but it's okay if you don't. You look like you're in a hurry to get home so I won't hold you too anything." Kitsumaru hoped Ko would consider his offer. After all, Kitsumaru had no protection now that he was in a world full of monsters. Even if Pabumon was small, it was better than nothing.

Ko stared blankly at this offer. Join him? Ko couldn't think of any reason to join Kitsumaru. After all, it wasn't like he owed him anything. Well...he did tell Ko how to get back home, so it wasn't as if this person was heartless. Ko began feeling guilty. He couldn't just leave this guy in the middle of this place without anyone to help him. This world was crawling with dangerous creatures.
Ko grinned nervously and said, "Well. I can't really say no to someone in need. Pabumon and I will help. Right, Pabumon?" The little green slime cooed happily. Ko wondered how long it would take them to find who they were looking for. Fortunately, Ko had nothing else going on in the human world. He extended his hand to Kitsumaru, hoping he would take it.
Ko hadn't had many opportunities to spend time with friends. Especially with many of his friends moving for work or leaving to study abroad. His quiet nature also made it much more difficult to make new friends. This felt like an optimum opportunity for him to make an ally at the very least. It seemed necessary given the world full of dangerous monsters that he had now stumbled upon. Especially remembering that they were present in their own world, however subtle.

Kitsumaru grinned at the kind offer. He felt slightly guilty, though. Ko was a nice enough fellow but he didn't seem especially fond of this world. Kitsumaru thought Ko looked a bit panicked and was almost considering turning down his offer to help now that it was given. His emotions began to twist as he felt a bit hurried. He was running out of time to find his friend and if he had Ko with him he'd have another brain to keep him levelheaded. Plus, having a Digimon with them might make other digimon less likely to pick a fight with them.
Kitsumaru remembered back to his days of romping around with Yuri and Hitan. He missed his old companions dearly. It had been nearly 10 years since he had met them and nearly 8 since he last heard from any of them. He felt himself grow a bit depressed under the weight of thsee thoughts. He had to bring his thoughts back to Patamon. Finding his partner would be better than anything in the world. If there was one person Kitsumaru couldn't live without, it was his oartner.
Kitsumaru straightened his posture and gave a determined look to Ko. He confidently stated, "This may take quite some time but I have a good feeling about the Village of Beginnings. I think that blue Trailmon over there will take us there. We'd better hurry if we want to get all of this done before nightfall. Granted, sleeping in a Trailmon isn't horrible." Kitsumaru made his way to the blue Trailmon, motioning for Ko to follow.

"the Village of Beginnings"
Ko tried imagining what this village looked like. Based on the title, his first thought was that it was some void where things instantly materialized. As he thought less literally, it seemed more probably thst it was a place for Digimon when they first come into existence. He wondered more about Digimon and their lifespan, now eying up Pabumon as if he might die at any moment. This was unlikely, as Pabumon had just hatched a few days prior. Ko wondered if the Village of Beginnings was the first place ever settled in the Digital World. This would lead him to believe thst there would be old buildings or ruins, which peaked Ko's interest. He grew giddy, though the look on his face wouldn't give that away.
Kitsumaru was accepting Ko's offer, which made Ko feel a bit relieved. He was a bit unsure as to why he felt so much concern for Kitsumaru. They had only just met and a minute ago Ko would have traded his left arm to leave this crazy place. He couldn't help but feel bad for this guy, but he also felt something more. Perhaps it was admiration for Kitsumaru being so knowledgeable. Or perhaps it had more to do with a sense of brotherhood. They both came across these weird devices and had these Digimon partners. He was the only other human he knew that had one (other than the girl he had run into at the club not too long ago).
Ko followed Kitsumaru as he boarded the Trailmon. He stepped with great care as if his footsteps might harm the large blue beast he was entering. He sat down across from Kitsumaru, Pabumon in his arms. The little green critter seemed rather content now, and closed its eyes. Pabumon drifted off as the Trailmon left the station.
