...for love of whatever kami in Takamagahara, this conversation is not going anywhere. Hikaru once again assumed his Alphamon fom. It might make the situation tenser, but... the Alphamon did not care. Outsider or not, this talk lacks moderator that can make the conversation flows smoothly. Hikaru just summoned his sword and slammed it to the ground as usual.
"...I think," Yuuki leaned forward in thinking manner "there's no end of this if we're talking about abdication or not. By this point, the sultan has shown himself to be completely out of line by still living in hedonistic lifestyle while his subject suffered, and not even a word of sympathy nor help offered when today one of the city street attacked by an Ultimate level Digimon Ultimate Brachiomon. The monarch should also be comforter in chief in case incident like this happened, but I haven't seen you moved away from this place... aren't that something? Aren't you depending on us, outsiders, too much? Do you think you're leading us by a leash, perhaps? Majesty, do not be mistaken, we're free people who can abandon this place with a drop of hat. I'll just say this right away...
Your city is none of me or my partner's concern. Aren't you taking things for granted, your majesty?
If anything, you're an illogical one who haven't moved to proclaims that you're hiring us to maintain public safety, thus making us, outsiders, a hero while you got nothing. It's a strange move, or are you that scared to step out, to reach to your citizen?
Whicheve the case, the sultan is on wrong to not diffuse the situation nor to support his subjects. If the public wills it, your majesty, it's not out of probability for you to be executed by the mass. In fact, I'll be honestly surprised if your neck is still intact after this." The way Yuuki talks currently sounded very disinterested, almost like it's not his problem the slightest. Well, that is true, but the fact that he talks about life and death like this definitely felt unsettling.
"....However," he continued "abdicating when there is a pressure like this, in state of chaos is totally unthinkable. Status quo must be upheld for the meantime meanwhile a vacuum of power is the least that we want, as it may leads to even more tyrannical government taking in. While the board wanted to force on your abdication, from what I see from some of the board's faces, it's almost like Ms. Raynamon just said this without even talking to the rest of the board,.. it's almost like you're completely sure that the Sultan can abdicated based on majority vote... a very brazen move I'd say, not suited for someone who's trying to defuse the situation. Would you please calm down?"
Yuuki insinuate that Raynamon might be the one who's responsible, however he purposely did not said anything further. If anything, he felt that the timing was too precise.

The Spirit User didn't make much of a fuss. Kira softly mumbled to himself, the rest of the room unaware of who he was speaking to. But what really commanded the attention of all present was Hikaru and Yuuki taking a stand. Yuuki spoke with such disdain towards the Sultan, it seemed almost certain that this would influence the board to impeach their dear leader. However, Yuuki objected to a change in regime, at this time. Dante merely watched on as Yuuki spoke. "Well, no one is going to top that..."
Yuuki had also questioned Raynamon's motives. Calling for impeachment? A radical move, but times are desperate. Even though Yuuki was against impeachment, his words had already swayed some of the board. Just like the Sultan, and the bandits, they had greed in their hearts. They knew that without the Sultan in charge, they were free to pursue their own goals, namely pillaging the treasury. The Sultan was mortified by Yuuki's words, and if his rule wasn't in question, he would have called for the execution of Yuuki and Hikaru. Right, as if anyone there could have enforced that.
The room roared with chaos. Everyone started talking over each other, until it resembled your average American political debate. (As if the parallels were not already on the nose enough...) Finally the room quieted down when the Sultan stood up and walked forward. "Enough! I will not allow outsiders ignorant of our customs to publically insult me! Yes, we are very grateful for your help. But I fail to see that I have done anything in violation of this city's charters. Why should I go hungry because of these bandits? Have things gotten so bad, that you would tarnish centuries of tradition?!"
The board of directors is conflicted. On one hand, Raynamon was the one spearheading this impeachment, and whether or not it was the right thing to do, she would benefit tremendously by handing control over to the board. However, the directors began to see the writing on the wall. Anyone who stood against Raynamon's borderline revolution would be ostracized. If it did pass, whoever voted against impeachment would have a target on their back. Finally, a vote is cast.
As the Champion of Nubar, the duty fell on Bogamon to tally the votes. While loyal to the Sultan, his first loyalty is to the city of Nubar. Bogamon collects the votes from the directors, even collecting votes from the others present, as is custom. Only the Sultan was not allowed to vote, naturally. As Bogamon tallies the votes, his expression goes from nervous, to mortified. "I can't believe this... As voted on by the board of directors and the heroes, the Sultan is hereby..." Bogamon wipes a tear from his eye. "The Sultan has been stripped of his position." The room erupts once again. Not all the directors had fallen for Raynamon's motion.
"So be it. The Sultan, or should I say Captain Ram, as you were formally known, is hereby relieved of all power and duties. Guards, seize him!" The desert themed guards armed with pole arms approach Ram. The former Sultan hangs his head in shame, and even tears his royal robes. "I understand that a change in regime will only create panic among those still loyal. That is why I move we relocate the Captain to the dungeon, and continue on with the façade of him still in power. Then we can slowly start meeting the demands of the bandits, until a new ruler can be determined."

"Hey... Hey! Stop that!" Escamon said, swiping at the guards hopelessly. "I don't think you can stop something like this..." Kira muttered, before standing, and walking away from the table. He hadn't really voted, as he hardly cared for politics. Escamon, with no other options, followed him, "you called me Escamon... I understood that much, as well as you calling me a spirit. But... Do you even know me?" He asked, to which Kira shrugged, "Well, sorry, I'm kind of new to this, as well, all I know is that, you were maybe a monster at some point but now you're a ghost who helps me fight, I guess. Don't you remember anything?" He asked, before Escamon stared at himself. Something about this form felt... Off, he also felt a large chunk of his being was missing, He was just... Lacking something. And this... Human wasn't exactly helping. He stared at his arm, turning to Kira, speaking up, "Hey... I wanna build something." Chaze turned, inwardly startled at this, though he kind of wanted to, as well. "Well... Like what?" "Follow me." and with a glow of light, Escamon was solid, and Kira was gone, as the Justimon look-alike leaped out of the castle, into the town below, towards the wrecked area of the recent brawl, with the roar of an engine.

Without even flinching, without even caring at how angry the sultan was, Yuuki just spoke while staring at the other but the said leader. "What sort of custom is this that you're talking about, majesty?" instead of standing to meet the Sultan, Yuuki stayed on his seat. "Is it the fact that you live in hedonistic lifestyle, or is it the way that the sultan is the one on the top? Well, regretfully I have to inform you that you seem forgot the existence about the boards. You might have it work previously when Nubar was a very rich place, but at the moment, as an outsider, what do I see?"
Yuuki now stared directly at the Sultan.
"...Hunger lead to rise in criminality, walls torn asunder, the haven that is Nubar that my friends spoke of no longer there... and someone wished your regime in this place to stop. Yet you still acting blind to the attempts in eliminating you from chain of command... you still didn't attempt to reach out to your citizen... Incompetence is it not?" Finally, he stood up to his full height. For a moment he wondered what the newest addition to the team is doing, but he let him be. Not too important for now.
"...As you can see, I and my partner are against your abdication at the moment... but... clearly by your own word, 'has thing gone this bad that you would tarnish centuries of tradition'... has made most of these people in for your abdication. You made them woke up, see? That you refused to amend stuff right now is the reason of your downfall."
The moment the sultan is stripped of his position however, that's when the black haired human just looked at him coldly.
"...There's no helping Nubar even if you stop living in wealth, but... the fact that the leader lives in wealth while the people suffer is exactly what makes the moral gone down. Had the citizen lives prosperously and you lives in the same way, then there won't be any fault in that... your fault is to once again focuses on yourself."
With that, it's seem that the stuff has moved forward. Yuuki still had his eyes on Raynamon.

By the end of the hearing, there was chaos. Kira had other things on his mind, as Escamon took control and ran off into the city. Yuuki continued his tirade against the former Sultan. Dante didn't agree to such lengths. He had met the Sultan before, and while he was greedy and self absorbed, did he really do anything out of line? Whatever the case, the board of directors was now in control of Nubar. And Raynamon was their voice. Some of the directors that voted against the motion were quite nervous. Those that were either greedy, or fearful enough to remove the Sultan, they were more likely to abuse this newfound power.
The guards escort the Sultan away. To see such a powerful figurehead, reduced to nothing, it was quite the contrast from before. His turban unravels, and his sacred jewel above his brow falls to the floor. Dante isn't happy with Yuuki's stance, but there was nothing that could be done. The former Sultan is escorted down to the dungeons, bound to the wall in chains. As Raynamon walks by Dante, he sees her blank expression. No emotions whatsoever. Bogamon rushes off to let the others know.
Bogamon bursts into the room to speak with Judith and Shirou. "You won't believe it! The Sultan has been relieved of his power!" "What?! No, this is terrible." Shirou struggles to sit up. He rolls over onto his good side, and swings his legs off the bed to stand up. "I'm not going to allow this." Shirou slowly heads to the door, limping and hunched over. Before he can leave, Raynamon enters the room. "Shirou, I trust that you are not pleased with the outcome. It brings me no joy to see the Sultan humiliated like this." "Get out of my face! This is all your fault! Now the bandits will be walking all over your corrupt government. You've doomed Nubar."
Dante comes barging in with the Worm King on his shoulder. "This isn't over! If you think that you can just overthrow your own ruler, so that you can line your own pockets, well none of us are going to stand for that!" "Ya! You better start fixing this, before I go 100% concentrated on your metal face!" "I understand how you feel. Like I said, I was one of the Sultan's biggest supporters, and the board knows that. But he was unable to rule in this crisis, and I must look after the city." "The only thing you and your goons are after is more gold. With the Sultan gone, you and your lemmings have all the power. Damn it, I should have been there. Had I known this would happen..."
Raynamon appears confident in her decision. "I will assure you, I am as loyal to Nubar as ever. Once we empty out the treasury, we can pay off these bandits, and get the city back on track." "Is that all this is about to you?! Just throw money at your problems? How do we know you're not in league with these bandits? Obviously they must have some kind of figurehead." Raynamon brushes her long raven hair out of her face, and runs her fingers down her cybernetic implant over the left side of her face. "I have more reason to hate the bandits than anyone! On behalf of the city, I thank you all for your support during this crisis, but your services will no longer be required. You can stay here for tonight, but unless you are a merchant bringing goods to Nubar, I suggest you take your leave tomorrow."
Raynamon leaves the room, heading off to make more plans with the board of directors. This time they meet behind closed doors. After a while, some of the directors leave, out of sheer disgust with what has become of their government. As they head back to their homes, they are sure to keep an eye out for assassins, as even they are fearful that Raynamon will send someone after them to eliminate anyone that doesn't share her philosophy. The treasury is raided by the guards, and a large shipment is sent out to a known bandit base to pay them off in exchange for stopping the riots.
After a long day, the gang tries to find peace, as they settle in for the night. At this point, a lot of the Sultan's possessions are up for grabs, as the remaining directors fight like wolves around a carcass. For all their contributions, it feels like defeat. Dante and Shirou are getting ready to go to bed. Dante pours his injured frienemy a glass of fruit juice. "What a day..." "Indeed." "Do you think Raynamon is the real enemy here? Or is the Sultan responsible?" "Hard to tell. The Sultan is my business partner, so naturally I have a financial stake in this. So my opinion will be biased. Raynamon seems like she knows what she's doing, but there is one thing that is unsettling. Who gave her those outdated implants? No Digimon, hacker, or any inventor that I know of would be able to create such an advanced device made out of old parts." "What about the train? Renamon said it will be on its way to the city tomorrow." "Let it arrive. I've lost my health, the Sultan has been usurped. I really don't care anymore. Let this alleged strongest Digimon ever destroy what's left of this Goddess forsaken place."
As the heroes settle in for the night, they can only wonder what is going to happen tomorrow.

Well, the rest slept, at least, as Escamon and Kira worked together, the two unsure as to who in particular was in control, as they both had the same motivation. They examined the wrecked square, walking in calm, controlled strides, before setting to work. Escamon organized the limited amount of wood, gradually, into a salvageable and trash heap, before plucking each nail out of the wood, manually bending them back into shape, with his smaller left arm and perfect precision, falling into a nice rhythm, until there was a third pile of nails. He examined the surrounding buildings, before scanning the chunks of sandstone and that was reduced into normal sand. He didn't hesitate, and started pulling clumps of sand into his massive right arm, with every handful, steam escaped a vent on the side, until he released a 10-foot tall cubic pillar of sand. He created a number of these, with gradual progress, until he ran out of sufficient sand to crush up. He left the city, using his powerful legs to leap from building to building, until he reached the city borders, where there were ample amounts of sand to work with, and he crushed, and crushed, until he felt he had enough Sandstone pillars, where he returned to the square, by now the sun was starting to rise, but he didn't mind, as he switched his arm to it's Precision Laser format, before carving small, square-shaped sockets to dig the pillars into, as well as fitting some chunks of ceiling back into place, before welding it back together, using this same laser. By the time the sun rose, he had rebuilt the basic shapes of at least one third of the market stalls, and had rebuilt supports, so the buildings could not collapse. As the sun rose, he decided to take some break, before returning to the castle, and passing out, reverting to his human form. For some inexplicable reason, he felt incredibly proud of the work he did, more prideful than he's felt in years, almost to a childish level. Regardless, he was too exhausted to think too much about that.

Whichever it was, the sultan did not show any positive side to him, so Yuuki honestly felt angered by his action. However, at the same time, he immediately felt like he's responsible for some of this... but it honestly going according to his thought... The sultan got impeached, Raynamon impeached him... and now they're trying to get his riches. Honestly, what's the difference? Those money never reached the public. However... his eyes already set on Raynamon.
"...Paying off the bandit is stupid... you're practically asking them to rob you again, again and again," Yuuki suddenly interjected as he exited the room. "Raynamon, I have thought of this, but you're kinda too impulsive aren't you? What make you so hasty?" it sounded like a provocation, but previously, the Digimon was unfazed. Now he's even more baffled by the action of the Raynamon.
"Is that really an attitude that should be taken by this city's representative?"
Then Raynamon just have to push that button. Yuuki quickly leaned forward.
"...Very well, then if you want to talk about business, let's talk about business."
Hikaru looked at Dante, hopefully enough to tell him that this is just Yuuki's plan.
"I've told the sultan, but I also have my connection. He ignored it, and if you're loyal to Nubar then---surely you'd not take the same stance? I'm willing to talk to them, to give you a word in, so to say... distance is not a matter for them, neither is security. Problem leads in your payment, though..."
Letting Raynamon go after that, Yuuki just sighed. "...That leader is way too impulsive, while the sultan is too passive. I have no idea which one is worse."
As the night rolls, Yuuki...
"...I admit it might be partially... no, mostly my fault that pushed the sultan to be impeached... but I guess this is the time that I say my opinion directly... You people, what do you think of Raynamon?"
He crossed his legs as he stared at the other two mates. Hikaru currently resting beside him, curled into a ball.
"........I think she's way too impulsive. From my action, you must think that I'm thinking that sultan is a villain, but that wasn't the case. I do have disdain to the sultan's decision... indeed, he made a hard decision, but I felt it's wrong decision over and over again. putting tax would instead stop merchants to come... and the moment their field is torched, that was supposed to be the time where he reduced his tax to call more merchants....
.............I'm just thinking that irregardless of his action, him showing wealth while his people suffers already shows his true character, one that prefers to fatten himself irregardless whether the public is happy or not. This shouldn't be like this if he have clear distinction between his personal money and his city's money...
............but again, I don't feel that this is right. I felt like we need to bust him out of his cell. He might withhold some information that we have no idea of. He's stripped from his position, he have no reason to stay so headstrong in withhelding certain information. I'll just say this once, but... compared to Raynamon, I prefer to put my trust on the sultan more. Raynamon's action is absolutely bizarre. So... Dante, you're right, we still need to see about that train...
You might would disagree with my action, especially after what I said inside there, but it's merely out of disdain to the guy's actions. ...and also to smoke out the rats, really. Nubar as it is now wouldn't survive if we don't know the source. If we know the source of the problem... we can help it more... anyway, this is just my opinion. Go on ahead and pour yours."

While the others had been debating, Kira and his newfound spirit spent the night rebuilding part of the city. Good on ya. Yuuki had words for Raynamon, just as he did for the Sultan. It appears Yuuki is offering aid, for a price. Raynamon turns down his offer. "I appreciate it, but we no longer require fighters. Most of our funds are going to the bandits. You've already been a tremendous help, Yuuki. Please, return to Nubar later, and you will see my vision of the desert trade city come to life."
Raynamon was being stubborn, but unusually coy. While everyone had their opinions, no one person could get everyone to agree about the Sultan, or Raynamon. Yuuki gave his opinion, and asked the others what they felt. While Yuuki came off as harsh to the Sultan, it was more about disagreeing with his actions during the crisis. Everyone gets their chance to speak their mind, for better or worse.
Dante looks out the window at the damage caused by the bandits. Then he sees Escamon going the extra mile to make repairs. It gives the young Palladino hope. To see Nubar restored to its former glory. Dante reaches into his pocket and pulls out a pack of cigarettes and a lighter. He lights up a cigarette and takes a drag. He closes his eyes, and he pictures the Nubar he once knew...
... A large crowd of Humans and Digimon alike begins gathering in the streets. "Oh, we're in for a treat! It looks like the Sultan is about to address the city." The group follows the crowd to a large palace in the center of town. Overlooking the streets is a high balcony with fancy white marble railings and decorative banners. "Who does this guy think he is?" A band of musicians plays eastern music in the streets. The Sultan walks out on the balcony. He is wearing white and gold robes with a large white turban, with a light blue jewel on the front of the turban. His hair is long and wavy, as black as a raven. The Sultan walks up to the railing and raises his hands to the sky. The crowd erupts with cheers as he address the people.
"What a grand day for the city of Nubar! May the trader's pocket overflow with gold. While the world crumbles around us, Nubar continues to thrive! That is why it is my honor to announce a competition like no other! There will be a tournament to determine the Champion of the city. The winner will receive a position on my royal staff, and more gold than you can even imagine. The preliminary rounds will begin tomorrow. Signups shall start today. I can guarantee you the spectacle of a lifetime! Pick up your tickets while they are still available. Thank you, citizens of Nubar, and the noble traders that make this city the wealthiest in all the land!" The crowd cheers loudly. The Sultan walks back into the palace... (The Forgotten Odyssey)
To have fallen so far. Dante slowly blows the smoke out, and opens his eyes. He turns to face his friends. "I care not for politics, economics, or power plays. I only want to see Nubar return to its former glory. Seeing what it has become... this is a grave injustice. I cannot condemn the Sultan, even if he increased the taxes, but this did happen on his watch. I didn't want to see him lose power, and I voted against the board seizing control. As far as Raynamon goes, I'm sure in her mind she's doing the right thing. She's doing what she feels must be done. Although I completely disagree with handing money over to the same Digimon who have been destroying the city."
"No matter what world we are in, no matter what era of history, I see no good coming from handing over the treasury to those who wish to see this city's destruction. I don't blame the bandits individually. I'm not going to judge them. Some of them had no food, nowhere to go. But I'm not going to allow this city to fall by their hands. I'm not sure if Raynamon is part of this bandit uprising, but I whole heartedly disagree. Both with overthrowing the ruler, and pretending he's still in control while he rots in the dungeon, as well as paying off thieves and mercenaries. I don't know what the solution will be, and I have no loyalty to Nubar myself, but I want to see it thrive. Not for the sake of gold, but so Digimon can earn a living, and have food and shelter."
Dante takes another drag, down to the filter, and puts the cigarette out on the stone window frame. Judith walks over to her brother, and gives him a hug. "I agree with Dante. Nobody looks good coming out of this. I always thought the Sultan was greedy, but I had no idea that his greed would end up bringing the downfall of his own empire. It breaks my heart seeing what has happened to this city. While I place the blame on the Sultan, I don't want to see the board of directors pillaging what's left of his palace. I can't stand Raynamon. Why is she bending backwards to meet the demands of greedy criminals? Like she said, she has a very big reason to despise them. You can tell by looking at what is left of her face. Tragic."
Shirou struggles to sit up on the bed, leaning against the wall. He wipes off the lenses on his glasses with a white cloth with gold designs. "If you don't learn from history, you are doomed to repeat it. And to think, I was upset because we were not moving as much ice cream. This city has fallen so far, I don't even think that I could fix this mess. It's worse than I thought. I stand by the Sultan 100%, naturally. And I'm fully against Raynamon, and everything she now stands for. The Sultan was only doing what a good ruler should. And a good ruler does not bend to the whim of greedy subjects, even if he is greedy himself. Someone has instigated this uprising. Someone organized the attacks on the trade routes. Someone torched the wheat fields. And there's more than one cause, but someone started these conflicts, that are causing more and more displaced Digimon to seek an empty shell for refuge. I move that we destroy every bandit, every politician, every low life scum, everyone that is apart of this underground network, with the intent of either seizing control of Nubar, or possibly seeking its destruction."
Wormmon is distracted, eating lots of salmon, apples, rice, pasta, whatever food he could get his little legs on. "Oh? Is it my turn? Uh, I think the Sultan is stupid, Raynamon is stupider, and I move that I, the Worm King, is stated as the rightful ruler of Nubar. And anyone who stands in our way, well, you all know me, you know my way with words, so you fill in the blanks. Only a Goddess deserves the right to rule." "A Goddess of Destruction..."
Bogamon had been remaining silent. Which is odd, considering that he had the most at stake. He was the only one here who was present for everything. The group turns to the Champion of Nubar, and he finally speaks. "I know what you're thinking. I'm the Champion of this city, and I want to see it be the best it can be. But I let everyone down. If I could have stopped the ambushes, if I could have saved the wheat..." "No, don't beat yourself up over that! There's no way you could have known all that would happen." "But I could have done something! I could have pushed back when the Sultan raised the taxes. I, I just wished I could have done something. But no, I let everyone down. I have no more to say on the matter. Whatever course of action you take, I will follow. And maybe, one day Nubar will shine once again."
Other than the Worm King, the group is more or less on the same page. "It's getting late. We all need a good night's sleep. I feel sorry for Kira. he didn't do anything to get wrapped up in this, and now he's working hard to help Nubar." "Yes, there's not much more we can do now. Tomorrow, we'll show Raynamon, the bandits, and everyone what we can do. We will find the bandit leader, and put this uprising to and end." Judith walks over to Bogamon, who is slouched over in his chair. "I know it's tough, but you have to hang on. You are Nubar's Champion. You are the people's champion. They will listen to you. Tomorrow, speak to your people. Give them... hope."

Sinokira slept deeply, but, for the first time in quite a while, what seems to be a trend for him, he had a dream. It was just a normal day of work. He was tearing at everything in his path, in some sort of machine. He leveled ancient ruins of a civilisation long past, he destroyed forests and leveled mountains. His power was absolute and unstoppable. He could destroy anything. But… he’s spent his whole life destroying. What he did today… was something he could never dream of. He shifted the metal claws at his disposal, stopping his endless deconstruction to try to use some rubble. It took a few minutes, but he managed to assemble a pitiful little pile of boulders. He realized, a moment too late, that it was about to fall over, so he tried to catch it with his metal claws, accidentally crushing his little creation. His vision clouded, and he woke, rising up, before seeing a small table, and, carrying himself with the momentum of rising, he punched a small coffee table next to himself. It wasn’t enough to break the main table part, but the weaker legs buckled and snapped, sending the flat part of the table into the ground. Kira was panting, heavily, his mouth open as he exhaled and inhaled, roughly. He glanced around, unable to locate his spirit. He clutched his head, feeling a minor headache, as he peered around. Never in his life was he so angry. And he had no clue what was infuriating him so much, and that infuriated him further. He breathed, for once trying to regain control of his emotions, one would think he was hyperventilating with how hard he was breathing.

Everyone said what's in their mind. Yuuki was a bit regretful that no one of them wished to bust the sultan out even for extra information, but he agreed that it might be a reckless thing to do. However, Raynamon sending money to please the bandits and refused to ask help from outsider at time like this is just an offshoot of the sultan's action he thinks. Raynamon is too suspicious for Yuuki who felt that if she hated the bandits, she wouldn't done this... She would rather sacrifice her pride instead of bowing down here.
Granted, the mindset is not that impossible to have. What if she thought that the outsiders like himself is the one who's going to capture the city? More meddling that now would cause the city stability to grow worse and at worse, Nubar will fell to hand of outsider. But is this really the way to do it? It's felt all wrong, and they're lacking concise plot. Yuuki looked solemn as he thought another way to do this.
"...Yuuki."
"Hmmn?"
"Just saying... but it might be possible that I'll lack the power to defend us later."
"...What do you mean?"
"After that fight with Ultimate Brachiomon, I sensed it, that sort of attack is beyond my capability to protect. If shove came to push..."
".........You want to do something extreme?"
"Yeah.... I can feel it, but faint... I know we can do it if we're strong enough."
"...OK, got it."
That's when they retired to their room for the day... He's not sure if this is the right thing to do, but things can wait tomorrow. This bitter aftertaste just made him wonder for what is he fighting this time around?

The next morning, Dante wakes up and looks out at the city. It's fairly quiet, all things considering. As the gang starts waking up, Bogamon is alerted that Raynamon wants him to address the city today. Judith checks to see how Shirou is doing. "Morning, Shirou. Are you feeling better?" Shirou rolls over, and reaches for his glasses on the night stand. "Hey Judith. It still hurts, but I'm doing much better." "Good. We were really worried about you yesterday." Once the gang gets ready and has some breakfast, they head out to the balcony for Bogamon's speech.
With the Sultan in the dungeon, Bogamon is the highest ranking mon in the people's eyes. Raynamon hands him a script to read from, giving him little freedom. Rumors are already swirling about the Sultan's absence. One of Nubar's higher ups could have already broke the news. Bogamon approaches the podium, looking down at the script. "Citizens of Nubar, your Champion is here to bring you good news. The Sultan has finally chosen to abolish the high taxes, and uh, he has agreed to meet the bandits' demands. Last night, the uh, treasury was nearly emptied. I must apologize on behalf of Captain, I mean the Sultan, for his absence. This fiasco has weighed heavy on his heart, and he is under the weather. And so on, and so forth, and what have you. I uhh, saw him this morning... and he didn't look too good."
Bogamon gets increasingly nervous. Sweat pours down his forehead. He looks over at Raynamon, who is smiling, and then he looks over at his friends. Dante and Wormmon, who he had trained with in the desert. Judith, who is the heart of the group. Yuuki and Hikaru, who have stepped up to defend Nubar from the bandits. And Kira, who rebuilt much of the market district. Bogamon looks out at the crowd, deadpan. Finally, his conscience can't take it anymore. "NO! I, I can't do this! I won't be your butt puppet, Raynamon. The truth is, the board of directors voted to usurp the Sultan. And now the treasury has indeed been raided, but I don't see how giving money to these no good criminals is going to help they city. We've got to come together, and treat Nubar like the crown jewel of the desert once again!"
The crowd roars. Raynamon is not happy with Nubar's Champion. She aggressively walks over to the stand and pulls the microphone away from Bogamon. "That's enough! I will not have you spreading your lies." Raynamon turns to the crowd. "The Sultan is still in power. Bogamon's just been out in the sun too long." "Hey! Don't call me a liar, LIAR!" Bogamon climbs up on the podium and looks down at Raynamon's face. "If you want to save Nubar, you and your board of goons will step down! Ever since you locked the Sultan up, I've been watching up raid his palace. I don't even think you care about this city, or these citizens. No, you're only trying to feed your own greed!"
Wormmon watches on from Dante's shoulder, eating eggs and bacon. "Wow, this is exciting! What's going to happen next?" Judith is so proud of Bogamon. He's standing up against greed, in support of the people. There's a moment of tension between the chairperson and the city's Champion, as they stare each other down.

Kira stumbled from the room, as if walking could fix his pounding head, and stumbled across Escamon examining some of the paintings on the walls. Escamon glanced over, seemingly recognizing something wrong, "Are you okay? you look... Like you have a problem." He asked. Since this human was the only one who could see him, he felt a connection there. As well as him being the only one with a semblance of a clue as to who he was, so his concern was well-placed, if entirely logical. Kira shook his head, "I just... had a bad dream, I guess." he dismissed his own mental state, distancing himself with the odd anger, a trick he picked up during school. The two heard a lot of commotion, and he peeked outside, before being slammed by a wave of tension. Tension he did his best to avoid. Tension between a frog lady and the fighter from before, he slowly slinked away, surprisingly quietly, for his bulk. Escamon, however, walked out, staring at the crowd, before at the two disputing, before shrugging, and standing alongside Kira, as they just reentered, just to observe the scene, passively. He didn't enjoy when Bogamon stared at him, choosing to glance away despite how his eyes were hidden. If there was one thing he didn't like, it was attention. It was distracting and made him anxious.

By this point it's getting even messier. Oh well, this is the time that he interfere for the last time, huh? It's not hard to do. Hikaru once again evolved to his Alphamon form. Just how many times has this been already? He seriously need to make this form his default form if it's somehow possible. Yuuki jumped to his partner's shoulder and let him fly.
"Alright, enough. I'll take it from here," Yuuki declared, swiping the mic off the two. Bogamon calls the citizen to be together, and fighting against the regime of the corrupt board members, but at the same time, he wondered if they'll just do the same again and reinstate the sultan? It's all just vicious cycle of destruction... That's why...
"Citizen of Nubar... hi," completely different way to address them from the other two, but that's fine. He just want to look relaxed for now. "...Well, I'm an outsider, I'm nobody, I'm just here because my partner is bored then we got roped to this situation!" It might get some sort of reaction from the people, maybe shocked, maybe something else, but he decided to continue, this time with slightly more serious tone.
"OK, seriously, I've heard from my friends what sort of city this was. I never managed to visit it before, but man, talk about a great pity, don't you think?"
This was the time he finally go serious.
"People of Nubar, hold your horses. I understand how you feel about the sultan still living in luxury while you're hungry. I know that some of you ever had the thoughts to join the bandits because you're hungry... I don't blame you for that, I don't blame you for being desperate... but remember, that will not solve anything. Even if you got that money, you'll have to leave Nubar to purchase food. Gold means nothing when there are no goods. The board members who ravaged the treasury only thought of themselves, They don't want to rule, they just think that this city is doomed, isn't it? Emptying treasury for your own goods usually only means that they're going to escape anyway... Are you angry? Are you disappointed on the board members? Normally, people definitely would."
And at that time, Yuuki finally turned on his serious mode for real.
"BUT YOU KNOW WHAT, PEOPLE, THIS IS NOT TIME FOR WITCH HUNT! THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO POINT AT EACH OTHER WHO'S IN WRONG. WHEN YOU POINT AT SOMEONE, REMEMBER YOUR OTHER FINGERS POINTING AT YOURSELF.
PEOPLE, REMEMBER, THE TRUE OWNER OF THIS ONCE BEAUTIFUL CITY IS NOT THE SULTAN, NOT THE BOARD, IT'S YOU PEOPLE! GOLD CAN BE RECOVERED, VILLAINS WILL GET THEIR KARMA, BUT FIRST AND FOREMOST, REMEMBER THE BIGGER PICTURE, REMEMBER ABOUT THE CITY THAT YOU LIVE IN. IT'S YOUR CITY, IT'S NOT OURS! YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO DECIDE, AND YOU HAVE TO DECIDE NOW.
THE SULTAN WAS TOO PASSIVE IN HIS APPROACH, AND NOW THE BOARD MEMBERS ALSO DID NOT WANT TO ASK FOR HELP OF OUTSIDERS. I UNDERSTAND THAT NONE OF YOU WANT THIS GUY MEDDLE WITH YOUR CITY, YOUR CULTURE AND WHATEVER YOU HOLD DEAR... BUT THE SITUATION CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION, IMMEDIATE UNITY!
PEOPLE, CHOOSE! YOU CAN DECIDE TO ABANDON EVERYTHING RIGHT HERE AND BURY NUBAR IN HISTORY, OR YOU CAN ONCE AGAIN STAND UP AND REBUILD THE PLACE TO BE THE JEWEL OF THE DESERT THAT YOU CAN TAKE PRIDE IN! I OFFER YOU MY HELP, AND WHILE I CAN'T PROMISE YOU THAT IT'LL SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM, I WILL HELP YOU AS BEST AS I CAN.
NOW CHOOSE! CHOOSE RIGHT HERE AND NOW, TO WHICH DIRECTION WILL YOU TAKE THIS CITY OF YOURS TO! THIS PLACE IS RIGHTFULLY YOURS, AND SO YOU'RE THE ONE WHO WILL DETERMINE WHERE IT GOES! IF YOU DECIDE TO WAIT OR DECIDE TO DO PASSIVE APPROACH, THEN SO BE IT, BUT YOU'LL BE REPEATING HISTORY! PEOPLE... UNITE AND CHOOSE YOUR CHOICE RIGHT THIS INSTANT!!"
He hope whatever he said would be enough... For now, he tossed the mic away and awaits for the answer.

The mood changed when Yuuki took the stand with Hikaru acting as an image of power. He spoke out against the corruption, and called for the city to unite. Because of their actions yesterday, the heroes have earned the people's respect. He had swayed them to his cause. However, those that had remained loyal to the Sultan still wanted him in charge. Raynamon address the crowd. "You must understand, everything that I do is what I feel is in Nubar's best interest. But right now, we need to come together and rebuild this city." The acting ruler of Nubar turns to Yuuki. "I feel like we have the same goal, but we are just taking different paths to get there."
Shirou steps forward to speak with Raynamon. "I know I didn't give you much chance, but I really thought about this city last night, and what needs to be done. There is an train inbound transporting a very strong Digimon. We need to stop it before it reaches the city, or more damage will be caused." Bogamon starts to calm down. He was getting pretty heated with Raynamon, but the important thing is that they put aside their own motives, and protect the city. "The riots have stopped, but there are still bandits loyal to this movement. Not only do we need to protect the city, but we need to jump start the economy." "Do you have a plan, Shirou?" "A plan? Um, ya. My plan is I am Shirou. That's my plan. With my technology, and years of playing economy-based games, we are going to kick things into gear. You can trust me." Dante coughs.
After much deliberation leading up to this, their goal was clear. Much like Kira, they needed to rebuild the city. Raynamon sends out merchants to other areas with gold and return with food and supplies. The journey would be long, but they needed to increase trade. Their funds were running low, and no doubt the board of directors have their own shares stashed away, from when they helped themselves to the treasury last night. Had Shirou not been incapacitated at the time, there's no doubt he would have loaded up his vehicle with loot.
Shirou, Judith, and Bogamon plan on staying in the city. Dante will be driving the PERV out into the desert to ambush the train. With Shirou and Raynamon working together to run Nubar for the time being, the citizens of Nubar set out to restore the city to its former glory. Dante and Wormmon are getting ready to take off into the desert. They won't have Keramon with them, but most of its features are accessible. Dante is wearing a combination of his western attire, with one of the Sultan's long white and gold robes, the patterns gleaming in the desert sun. Shirou walks over to Dante and tosses him the keys. "Don't scratch it." Will Kira, Yuuki and Hikaru be joining him? As Dante steps inside, Wormmon is sitting up front. "I'm driving. Let's go save the day, you guys. Just like sexy cowboys." "I just wish there were some cowgirls around. Raynamon isn't exactly girlfriend material."

Everyone stopped Yeling when Yuuki suddenly stepped up, yelling at the crowd. The momentary quiet was nice, before everyone came up with roles, and somehow expected Kira to choose which role to fill. He didn't really appreciate that, but decided that, with Escamon's insistence, to continue with repairing the places, however, with limited resources rebuilding would be virtually impossible, he wasn't the kind of person to manage these kinds of things, but he recognized that fact, as the wood that wasn't reduced to ash was in short supply, so he decided that coming along in the weird vehicle might lead them to more resources, and a little help would probably be appreciated. He decided, to join Dante in the car. He was hesitant to the idea of "Sexy Cowboys", as well, so he wondered, even if it was efficient, would it be worth it?
