Mitsuko had to force herself to look away from Alicia's battle. It was impressive the two going at it almost toe to toe. And the grounding of the electric, pure genius! Mitsuko turned back around, her hand tightening around her digivice, the other gently placed against the scarred tree. "Please be careful, Alicia." Mitsuko said softly, as she watched her own battle starting to unfold.
"It may be rookie in appearance." MagnaAngemon stated as his helmeted gaze fell upon the new assailant "But something tells me looks can be rather deceiving here." He was rather impressed that his attack had been dispatched so rapidly. This only meant that things here were going to be more difficult than they were lead to believe.
"Thank you, your assistance is rather appreciated." MagnaAngemon said to Cion as he took a step forward towards the Renamon. He watched as Cion created what seemed to be a digital field. He could work with this. He watched Cion launch another arrow. It was impressive to see that digimon could work together as team, no matter how long they have known each other.
"Please, why are you attacking us?" Mitsuko called out to the Rookie digimon. "Let's just try to stop and talk this out rationally. There has to be a diplomatic answer to everything!" The silverette's eyes widened as Renamon threw a seed into the air. "MagnaAngemon! Look out!"
He saw the seed hover above his own head. As it started to glow, The light bulb in MagnaAngemon's head clicked on, and his smile widened. The Angelic Digimon started his next attack.
"Gate of Destiny!"
This time, two digital gates appeared. One above MagnaAngemon's head, that would suck in the Rookie's attack. The second appeared a few yards ahead of him facing the Renamon, that would send the attack back at the attacker. It wasn't much of an attack, but sometimes you needed to fight fire with fire. He just hoped that the diversion technique would work.
As the Ceresmon changed direction, Mitsuko stumbled a bit but caught her balance thanks to the tree beside her. "I'm okay!" Mitsuko assured Cion as she held out a hand towards Dracmon. "Here, may I help you up?" Her soft voice rang out nothing but sincere intentions, hoping the dark digimon would like her just a little bit more.
"Aye, something changed the direction. We need to wrap this up quickly, and try to figure out what caused it." MagnaAngemon stated.
"And why they are so keen to change the course of Ceresmon's path!" Mitsuko added.
Battle Log:
1. MagnaAngemon uses Gate of Destiny to reflect Renamon's attack back at her. 2. Gate of Destiny Cooldown 0/3

Then again, Devidramon was a tough nut to crack himself.
Though Alicia may have been able to divert some of the damage, the mere delay of testing with one tendril, instead of immediately burrowing in with several, would course quite a few more volts through that mass of mercury than Alicia likely would have preferred. The spirit's sudden strength boost did catch the demon by surprise, hoisting him right off of the ground and flinging him into the air! An annoyed growl followed, the monster frustrated that he couldn't return the grapple in kind.
And then came the blades. Devidramon's visor never shifted away from his opponent, and his claw flexed in reflex. A bright blue ball of energy pulsed with electricity inside his palm, the demon forcing the claw out, to meet the attack with the blade head-on. Sharp as it was, penetrating the sphere would immediately unleash its powerful discharge, with enough force to divert the blade off to the side, push away some of Alicia's mass, and more importantly, fling the demon further backwards! The blade would strike air, Devidramon's claws digging into the earth as he would build some distance. At this new position, that trailing blue aura around his body began to build up, the ultimate's body taking a 'smokey' appearance.
Renamon, however, found herself in a bit of a dicier situation. Her 'teammate' merely had to stand off against one champion, but this fox had the eyes of two full-fledged ultimates on her, and they didn't seem shy away from pressing the advantage: with her focus on the MagnaAngemon, Cion let out both a snapshot and focused what appeared to be some psionic attack! The fox grit her teeth, the arrow cleanly sinking into her upper leg - she lacked the armor the Devidramon had, after all - as the air around her began to shimmer!
"Oh, c'mon..." She swore, her pod already in the air. From a branch, her immediate options to dodge were rather limited, and dodging one would leave her vulnerable to a follow-up! In that instant, she simply decided that she knew more about MagnaAngemon than whatever species this cat was, and used her much-more useful skill to dodge: displacement. The Renamon vanished, replaced with a heavy branch spinning in the vortex, the fox now left at ground level.
Mitsuko's words would then hit her ears, and in that moment, the fox's right ear would twitch. "You can't be serious... now?" Her tone, initially confusing, made a little more sense when one saw the small microphone near the fox's mouth. In fact, she was having an entirely-different conversation, and with that golden gate in front of her, she grit her teeth. "I don't have time for this s***!"
Those words were said, right as she raised her arms and blade, gritting her teeth as her own 'Diamond Storm' was returned to her! The gloves prevented the leaves from reaching her face or shoulders, the fox taking a crouched position to cover as much of her body as she could. Still, the blades cut at her sides, deep wounds already being drawn in this Renamon's fur.
With the ground shaking, the Dracmon kept his knee to the floor, gritting his teeth until the vibrations past. Meanwhile, the Devidramon seemed too bulky to care, and the Renamon managed to take a 'lucky knee' as well, as the Ceresmon's body gave a slight lean. Slowly, he took Mitsuko's hand with a small, thankful nod, before turning towards Cion: "It's not hard to imagine how. Remember, there's a Blimpmon flying above us, at a size we could see from the ground. If its that colossal, its main cannon would definitely be able to do something like that."
Dracmon had an eye for detail, of course. "But the better question to ask is 'why'? Unless they're trying to ground it, but... hm?" That's strange - why was his mask suddenly damp?
It clicked, a moment too late. Faster than any technique, an impossibly dense white fog rolled through the clearing. The Ceresmon had been forced right into a dense cloud-bank: like looking outside a plane window, it would be next to impossible to see even the hands in front of you.
"Damn!" He swore, under his breath, and was now holding tight onto Mitsuko's hand. Right in front of Cion, MagnaAngemon, and Alicia, their respective opponents would vanish into the cloud. And in this expanse, their assailants would become eerily quiet, practically inaudible against the rattling leaves and branches above.
Battle Log: 1) Devidramon(?) used 'Concussive Blast' - A tight ball of packed electrical is thrown or held, letting forth a heavy concussive blast. Low damage, high propulsion. 2) Devidramon(?) has activated 'something'. His appearance takes the trait of a phantom. 3) Renamon(?) used 'Displacement' - Short range blink. Leaves user vulnerable at exit point. 4) Renamon(?) is guarding. Heavy damage inflicted to outer arms and side. Additionally, Renamon is impeded by Data Arrow (1). 5) Ceresmon has flown into a heavy cloud bank. Visibility is near zero. Humidity is 100%.

Only briefly taking notice of Mercurialdramon, she realized that it was dealing with the Devidramon just fine, and of course demanded all of its attention. This meant that, for now, Cion and MagnaAngemon could deal with the empowered Renamon without having to worry about their flanks. "Yes." The CyberSagitamon quietly responded to her angelic partner, knowing all too well that appearances could be deceiving. In whatever way this former Rookie got a power boost, it gave it enough hubris to face them without hesitation. That confidence alone was a reason for concern, but also something they could utilize to their advantage. "Same to you!" She exclaimed as she attempted to trap the Renamon in a temporary vortex. However, it utilized a move to quickly move out of the way, landing on the ground beneath her cage of energy. "Tzz..." She let out, slightly frustrated by her failed attempt, although the fact that her 'Data Arrow' worked this time eased her mind again. And besides, this was the perfect chance for the MagnaAngemon to strike, and it abused that immediately. It redirected Renamon's previous attack, leading it to be damaged by its own blades of diamonds. "Efficient." Cion stated calmly, impressed by her angelic partner. Unfortunately, Mitsuko's attempt to reason felt on deaf ears... literally. It seemed the Renamon was in a conversation of sorts, but not with them. So the metal-armor also provided communicators to interact with others afflicted by the metal-whatever. That actually was a pretty good information to know, and it meant they had to adapt to that fact. If they were in constant communication, and if there were many more of those digimons tainted by the metal, then they should find a way to spread confusion and fear in their ranks. But that was for a later hour. Close to Mitsuko and Dracmon, she endured the roar of Ceresmon and the explosion that made the digimon tilt ever so slightly to the left. The tilt shifted the battlefield dramatically, making high-advantages and positioning even more important. After all, even the slightest changes in mobility and adaptability could win or lose a war. Thus far, she had been well remaining stationary behind the two frontliners backs, but if she was ever forced to make use of her hookshot-belt, she would have to carefully calculate her movement. "I see. The Blimpmon is a target of ours, too. Hmpf... wish Colin & Co. with their Blimpmon were here now..." The CyberSagitamon more or less thought out loud, wishing they had more assistance at their disposal. With the two Super Megas at their side; geesh, all of this would likely become trivial at worst. "I'm more wondering how a mere Blimpmon can even damage a Ceresmon. Unless it too is empowered by the metal." She replied to Dracmon, confident that this was the only explanation how a Champion could even scratch something as titanic as Ceresmon. So bizarre... as if power levels did not matter anymore. Before they could give it much more fog, a heavy fog suddenly engulfed everything. Of course, that high, Ceresmon was likely to fly through clouds, and not even the forests could prevent the constructs of aeriform water to swathe everything. And as everything turned eerily quiet, Cion was confident that their adversaries had either vanished or planned an ambush. "Everyone, come close to me!" She ordered before both her hands became engulfed in a radiant, blue glow. Perhaps it was bright enough a beacon in the fog for everyone to see. "Nanomachine Zone." She whispered as the bow in her hand transformed into her signature Crystal Ocarina. Playing a soft tune to pierce the silence, the blue glow moved down her body and formed an ever expanding zone around her, eventually reaching the size of a family home. The zoned colored the terrain blue in moving binary code and small computer parts, as if stripping away the texture of the digital world. Like glowing dust, microscopic automatons gently swirled in the zone and around the Cion and all her allies, including Dracmon and the human Mitsuko. Quickly, a translucent barrier of hexagons would form around everyone's body, granting them extra protection like wearing medium armor in case an ambush would truly occur. In fact, with the display of color and noise, the CyberSagitamon had practically invited them to come. Because that was her plan. With the armor around them as long as they remained within the zone, everyone would feel a pleasant sensation of warmth, as if vigor would steadily return to them. And once an enemy would step inside the zone, it would slowly have its power drained by it to increase the power of all healing / health regeneration of her and her allies. Whatever would come, even nothingness itself, Cion felt she was prepared for it. With her ocarina once again transforming back into her futuristic bow, she quietly kept her guard, hoping that sound alone would give away the position of enemies. Battle Log:Move: Cion uses 'Nanomachine Zone' to protect herself and her allies. Buffs:

The Mercurialdramon snarled in frustration as another gimmick gifted by the cybernetic enhancements sent her blades careening off target. That took a good chunk of power to activate, and she was more then a little upset that a simple instinctive reaction, as that was what it clearly looked like, was enough to deflect it. “That’s getting annoying...” Alicia grumbled out.
And then the Devidramon turned phantasmal in some way. Quirking an eyebrow, the dragon cursed and prepared to shift forms in the hopes that energy-charged attacks like Radiant Steel would be able to partially punch through what was likely a defense against all attacks requiring contact of some kind.
That was when she noticed her body getting a bit watered down. Quirking an eyebrow, she growled out in confusion, before the cloud bank rolled in and killed pretty much any kind of visibility. Well... curses, this was just not her day at all. ”Tactical retreat, Alicia, try to regroup with the others.” Sol noted.
“Would love to, but where-”
She was getting cut off way too much today, as a soft and soothing tune played out shortly. But who could be playing it?
”Where the heck did that fox gal stash an ocarina of all things?” Kisara muttered, before looking at Alicia. ”Don’t ask. Long story short, I had a stint where I was interested in music of all kinds. And remind me to poke her about where she learned to play, that is quite the lovely tune.”
The liquid dragon just rolled her eyes and made a quick leap over to the others, breathing a sigh of relief as the Nanomachine Zone’s restorative powers kicked in for her. “This is a very handy ability... Now then, I want to do a little preparing in case they come in for an ambush...”
That said, she picked out a spot in their midst, elongated her hands, and poked a small hole in the ground as a test. Cion’s field didn’t seem to care about it, and upon confirming that Alicia promptly shoveled out some of the dirt in the clearing. “Cion, Mitsuko, MangaAngemon, Dracmon, get in the hole and keep your heads down. As soon as I notice them again and they’re close enough, I’m gonna fire off a Fright Burst. Unfortunately, I can’t keep it from hitting any allies in it’s range, but I can contain the radius to a fair degree. If you get in, you’ll be out of said radius and won’t have to worry.”
Perhaps they’d notice her body was much sleeker then before, with some lean ‘definition’ of muscle structure molded into the mercury of her body. She was fine on power already, and Cion was handling pumping up defense a fair amount, so what she needed was speed, both in movement and striking, and that was what she got by shifting her mass around. Shortly they after, it began to bristle, spikes building along her back, a warning sign that her Fright Burst attack was primed.
Battle Log
Due to intervening circumstances, Alicia was unable to continue combat engagement with Devidramon. Instead, she’s retreated to Cion’s and Mitsuko/MagnaAngemon’s sides. This also solidifies her inclusion in the Nanomachine Zone’s power Alicia’s Amorphous Form goes active. Speed is increased, other parameters remain the same (Cion’s AoE defense buff not-withstanding) Alicia has prepared to attack with Fright Burst in a hemisphere around her under the assumption that all allies will be tucked away safely. Assuming allies are safe from friendly fire, she’ll strike as soon as she can confirm Devidramon and Renamon are in range.

Mitsuko blinked innocently as the fox digimon responded. "Well... there's always time for diplomacy..." Mitsuko said softly as she ran a hand through her hair nervously, when she heard the fox cursing. Well that didn't go as planned. The young musician watched as MagnaAngemon's attack did go as planned! It wasn't a full force full body hit, but it was something!
"Efficient is my middle name!" MagnaAngemon said, as he posed in a defensive stance. "Well, not really, but you get the idea." Mitsuko couldn't help but roll her eyes.
"Suki-chan, the microphone..." MagnaAngemon said as he watched the fox recoil from the damage. "She's in contact with someone else."
Mitsuko's eyes widened in realization. Of course, that only made sense. Someone had to have noticed their arrival and sent the two attackers at them. So they were being watched, which meant that there was no element of surprise for them. However, if they could disable the communications system...
Mitsuko felt Dracmon's hand tighten on hers as the fog rolled in. She couldn't see her hand in front of her face anymore, which didn't bode well for MagnaAngemon and fighting! "Blimpmon... that must be it!" Mitsuko said softly. "The Blimpmon has to be monitoring the island, and distributing the communications system! If we could take it offline, or perhaps find a way to use it to track the others, we may have a better chance of survival!"
As the haunting melody cut the air, Mitsuko noticed the air shimmer and become transparent, almost like it had solidified. The silverette really had to reign herself in from touching it. She felt warm... comfortable... safe. MagnaAngemon raised a hand, watching the barrier appear. "Nicely done. This will definitely be of use." The angel was glad that even though he couldn't see, he had some protection against any incoming attacks. That was until Alicia called back to him.
Mitsuko was already in the hole ready to go with the others, as MagnaAngemon stared out to where the Renamon had previously been. He really wanted to stay back and attack, but sometimes the best offense was a great defense. So, with a sigh, he joined the others under the Alicia-shield.
"Hey, you were great out there." Mitsuko gave her partner a big smile, but noted his somber attitude. "You did all you could. But there is still another way we can help." Mitsuko let go of Dracmon's hand and reached into her bag, pulling out a stack of cards. "I hope this doesn't backfire..." Mitsuko closed her eyes as she pulled her digivice close to her.
"Digi Modify: Megabyte Razorhail Environment Card... Activate!"
Mitsuko's digivice glowed brightly as she swiped the card through her D-Arc. "Alright guys, this should boost all metal and machine type attacks, so I hope this wasn't a huge mistake... Alicia, you should have a nice extra boost now!"
Mitsuko put her cards and digivice back into her bag, and grabbed Dracmon and MagnaAngemon's hands. Whatever happened, they were in this together.
Battle Log:
1. Mitsuko and MagnaAngemon are safely in Alicia's Pit. 2. Digi Modify: Megabyte Razorhail - 1/3 3. Gate of Destiny Cooldown - 1/3

At once, this active battlefield was brought to a standstill. With the dense fog overtaking the clearing, the invasive group was quick to make preparations. Cion's created zone radiated a soft blue light, creating a bloom that carried through the clouds - combined with her melody, it created a rather haunting sight. Various sounds of movement echoed throughout the clearing, and both whispers and commands pierced their way through the howling winds. It was clear, to both the Devidramon and the Renamon, that the group had taken shelter inside this area.
Secret Factor
Promptly hidden in the depths of the fog, the Renamon was quick to swear under her breath, that last order ringing in her ear quite clearly. She was just supposed to retreat, after coming this far? Clearing out the rest of the island hadn't been nearly this difficult!
Her thought was cut off, however, as a dark shadow cast itself over the fox. The Devidramon lumbered over her, his eyes fixated on that blue glow, the sound of Cion's ocarina radiating from the center. It was abundantly clear that this was a trap, and in this case, blind-versus-blind, the attacking group held no advantage against a fortified position.
"... Understood." The Renamon muttered into the microphone. "But, if I can be so bold, how about we give them a parting shot?"
"Whatever makes you feel better. You get one, then get out of there." The voice cracked into her earpiece, the Renamon giving a sigh. One, huh? Her neck craned up, looking towards the Devidramon. She stabbed her rapier into the ground, and muttered: "You know what to do."
"Right behind you." Facing his back towards that blue glow, just as the razorhail began to fall, the metal demon gripped his claw around that small hilt, the Renamon darting off into the thick woods. The way the Devidramon was facing, the glint of Digital Light would be hidden from the group: the sword vanished, as Devidramon's metal claws doubled in length, a black accent sparking around the tips of its nails. In the next instant, both of his palms sparked with powerful red lightning-
Raider's Surge!
With a thrust of his claw, the energy would arc straight into the air, before the Devidramon would beat its wings, and attempt to make his own escape into the forest.
But for the group, for several seconds and aside from their own conversation, all they could 'sense' through this fog was the rippling sound of wind. There were several questions left unanswered as the fog rolled in, but honestly, Dracmon was just thankful that they had a hole to hide in. "Sheesh, eyes in the sky, then?" The imp sighed. "Guess it gives us a hint about what we need to do... but if it can do this to Ceresmon, I don't want to be in line with its main cannon."
Other discussion could wait until they were through this jam, though! As the razorhail began to fall, Dracmon's hand tightly held by Mitsuko, the imp further sheltered himself by staying near the wall of the hole. Alicia might have been covering the area, but there was no need to risk getting cut up by that metal hail!
And, perhaps that wasn't the best idea against their clearly metal opponent. As that hail began to fall, Devidramon quickly betrayed his own position: through the blue light of the barrier, a red glow pierced its way through the cloud. Held in position for a moment, the light would arc up, arching right over the blue sphere, before it would settle right over the 'barrier'. The light itself wasn't the Renamon nor the Devidramon, though the effects of the light wouldn't be clear just by its appearance.
The nearby fog taking on a dark color, and the dense feel of static filling the air, however, would. "That's... brace yourselves!" Even through Ceresmon's fog of data, the Dracmon could feel that, his voice cracking for the first time in their presence. And it wouldn't take long to figure out why: from that light, red arcs of lightning began to crack downwards, drawn towards taller or metallic targets. And thanks to the razorhail, which may or may not have been peppered into the Mecurialdramon's liquid body, that striking energy would have quite the easy path to jump to its targets.
Those in the hole - at least those not wearing copious amounts of metal - would be the least likely struck. But for a parting shot, this was definitely an ordeal to overcome!
Battle Log: 1)Renamon's proficiency decreases to Champion. 2)Devidramon's proficiency increases to Mega. 3)Devidramon, in addition to the proficiency increase from the rapier, gains offensive power due to 'Razorhail'. 4)Renamon has fled! Minor damage is inflicted to the fox by 'Razorhail' in the escape. 5)Devidramon is blindfiring 'Raider's Surge' over Cion's field - A dense packet of electrical energy is cast into the air, traveling several yards over a target. Powerful and repeated blasts of lightning rain down from the packet, prioritizing targets that are metallic or higher-up. Cion and Alicia are at definite risk of being directly struck by lightning inside the barrier. 6)Devidramon is attempting to flee!

After MagnaAngemon's playful act of pride, Cion was glad to find out that the others seemed to notice the communicators on Renamon as well. Certainly, it was an attribute all tainted by the metal had in them, and as a mentioned before, it was one they could use to their advantage. But currently, it was not the time to worry about their future plans. Not only had they a fight at their hand, but they also had to worry about shifting terrain and intense weather. She would do anything to push through it and assist the others, and she hoped her partners felt and did the same.
"Perhaps! But first, get to deal with this." The CyberSagitamon responded to Mitsuko before nodding approvingly to MagnaAngemon and motioning him to do the same, which was of course hiding in the hole created by Mercurialdramon. With all of them in safety, she hunkered down and faced her partners. Everybody was unharmed, though a couple of mental scars plagued them for the time being. And then... Mitsuko did something with her digivice, and it seemed to empower their technology-based abilities. However, Cion did not feel anything, nor was her body changed. "I hope you are right, thank you." She expressed her uncertain gratitude, knowing most of her attacks were based on digi-tech.
And then, the thunderous hell started. Cion had expected many things, especially foolish savages attacking them head on, but not a ranged bombardment with thunder. Her eyes narrowed as she saw heavy bolts impact with the ground and the flora around them. Were those another attack of the tainted Devidramon, or was it an ability from something far more powerful? The vulpine digimon did not know the answer, and that uncertainty left her in a state of concern she only had few seconds to deal with properly.
She knew all too well what her armor and most of her 'insides' were made of; metal and synthetic components. While most of her body was covered in digital fur and flesh, she was as much a cyborg as one could be before fully turning machine. Her robotic irises and her slightly synthetic voice were a clear giveaway for that. Unfortunately, it meant that she was almost a literal lightning rod, and that one moment or the other, she would be struck by the powerful storm raging outside.
Hoping that the others would be unharmed, time around her seemed to freeze as she desperately attempted to find an escape from her before long bale. Would she lie down and cower in hope that fortune, despite all reasoning and experience, was with her in this fell hour? Or would she... finally let go? After everything she had endured, and the pain she had bound to the very depths of her core, could she truly allow herself to digivolve in the hope her new powers would protect her? Could she risk losing herself even more after that fateful night that had figuratively ended her previous existence? Without someone to hold her hand after lifetimes of guidance... she was afraid of treading a path that might have no light at its end.
"No... I am sick of hesitating..." She spoke quietly with a grave tone as her appearance started to rapidly alter. Cion realized the anguish she had suffered due to her hesitation, and she would not allow it to become agony as well. With her only visible organic part, her head, glowing white as if she was digivolving, a helmet matching her armor formed itself out of her armor and around her head and ears. Except a futuristic visor that allowed her golden, synthetic eyes to remain slightly visible, there was nothing biological left about her, even her tail being covered in hard armor. "Huntress Mode..." Was all she spoke under her breath.
A very long shawl of streaming blue data and binary code formed itself around her neck, covering her back but also winding around her hip and her left leg like an elegant dress. The most dramatic transformation was to her bow however, which broke apart and fused with her pistol into some form of white, supermodern particle rifle. Though, in contrast to her previous form, it was massive, easily rivaling the size of anti-material rifles. An accelerator core served as its source of energy, and a holo-scope would give her perfect aim. All of that happened in the span of a few seconds.
But she did not need her new weapon right now, she needed to defend herself and her allies. Dropping it, she instinctively knew about the massively improved powers she could wield and would utilize them. With her hands glowing in violent blue energies, she released them by pushing her arms outwards. "Data Recreation!" She bellowed, her voice having audibly shifted from that of a young adult to a seasoned madame in her 40s.
Streams of translucent, blue data enwrapped everyone, even Mercurialdramon, but instead of needlessly healing them like intended, one of Cion's special powers came into play. Since most of them, Mercurialdramon likely as well, were unharmed, the streams instead formed themselves in shields of hexagons around their bodies, which would absorb severe damage for a few seconds, especially in combination with her still existing zone that granted them bonus armor.
Scoffing, her golden eyes flared up as she frowned at the eye of the storm. "Do your worst..." The huntress dared the thunders to face her with confidence she had rarely felt before.

Alicia huffed softly in obvious frustration with the current events. But with no indication of an engagement, there was little she could do while basically blinded by this cloud bank. Absently, she noted with concern and interest how the Razorhail shards seem to “plink” into her mercurial form like rain on a lake, causing ripples over her body and getting lodged inside but ultimately doing nothing more then that. Maybe that would be a useful note for later?
And then things finally started happening. A red glow sliced through the haze. A moment later it was launching up into position over them, and then she heard Sol speak up urgently.
”Alicia! Toss the shards and Shell up!” he shouted to her. Having learned that the dragon was capable of making the right snap decisions far faster then she was, and also having untold numbers of years experience over her, she reacted almost before she was consciously aware of beginning to follow his plan. Whipping her arms forward, the numerous shards were flung out into the air between them and where the Devidramon’s last likely location.
“Slide!” Cutting out the majority of the metaphorical ‘fanfare’ and her chant, Alicia changed forms from Mercurialdramon to a much sturdier, more significantly armored and, had light been shining through, pristinely shimmering form. “Metalumindramon!”
Idly, she noticed Cion taking action as well, adding a helmet and visor to her futuristic get up and activating one of her own abilities. Some kind of mass shielding effect? That would prove invaluable in weathering the artificial storm, on top of the fact that the earlier protective zone seemed to still be functioning as well. Oh well, no more time to reconcile what was going on.
“Mirror Shell!” With that roar, a hemisphere of polished steel, as reflective as it’s namesake, shimmered into existence around them just as the storm began. This part was obvious, a strong defense against the incoming attack. But why had Sol wanted her to throw all those shards? Maybe they would’ve sliced her up if she had them while sliding? That was a terrifying thought to be honest.
The red bolt lanced down, slamming into the mirror shell and crackling over it... and then Sol’s orders became clear. Forced to reflect off, the bolt would’ve normally gone back to where it originally came from. Which could’ve either ended it early or made everything that much worse, a real coin flip there.
With electrically reactive shards scattered nearby? The bolt’s reflection course was altered, lancing into the nearest one and bouncing wildly back and forth away from them. And with so many shards flung, it would stay on its course, aided by the falling Razorhail. Even through the haze, Devidramon would find that he was about to get lanced in the back by his own attack.
Or at least part of it? Alicia held her shell as long as she could, but unfortunately it was only meant to last a few seconds at most. Any bolts launched in that time frame, though, would find themselves similarly reflected back to their original sender. After that, it shattered and dissipated, anything remaining would have to be tanked on Cion’s protections and her armor directly, or be up to Mitsuko and MagnaAngemon to deal with.
Battle log
Due to not being able to sight either opponent, Fright Burst was not used Alicia Slides from Mercurialdramon to Metalumindramon As Metalumindramon, Alicia uses Mirror Shell to reflect as much of the Raider’s Surge as she can back at Devidramon.

It was hard to see anything out there, let alone right next to them. Mitsuko kept her breathing even, she needed to remember to keep herself grounded. Now was not the time to panic. Surely she and her partner had been in tougher spots before, right? A small gasp emitted from the silverette as she watched Cion digivolve! Mitsuko watched in awe as another layer of protection seemed to overlap her body. This was good, the more the better. That was when she noticed the red lightning coming for them.
"It was a mistake after-all... it's all my fault..." Mitsuko's voice broke on the last word, as she closed her eyes, trying not to cry. MagnaAngemon dropped his partner's hand, and put his own to her face.
"No, Suki-chan. This isn't over. Not yet." MagnaAngemon said softly as he looked up at Alicia. "Watch..."
Mitsuko opened her eyes, trying to see through the fog. The shards were reflected and the lightning seemed to be bouncing around above them! A small sigh escaped her lips as she looked back down to Dracmon. "It'll be okay." She said with more conviction than she had felt a moment ago. She knew it was true. "No matter what, we won't give up!"
MagnaAngemon nodded as he turned his attention back towards the battle. "Looks like I'm up next." It was time to take a page from Alicia's book so to speak.
"Excali-burst!" MagnaAngemon called out, as he sliced his glowing sword up in the air once again. His body, and wings spread wide, protecting Dracmon and Mitsuko. He watched as it hit the Razorhail, causing it to flip around, and hopefully deflect even more lightning back to whence it came!
Battle Log:
1. Digi Modify: Megabyte Razorhail - 2/3
2. Gate of Destiny Cooldown - 2/3
3. MagnaAngemon uses Excali-Burst in a sweeping arc, to help assist Alicia in changing the course of the lightning bolts.

It seemed that the group was set on hunkering down in the Nanomachine Zone, as the crimson lightning-storm rumbled overhead. Cion met with Dracmon, Mitsuko, and MagnaAngemon in the dug pit, as Alicia stood over in an effort to shield the group from as much of the storm as they could muster. Despite Mitsuko's eventual enthusiasm, the Dracmon kept quiet, hunkering himself as far down into the corner of the pit as the rookie could manage.
"C'mon, we can hold..." The imp muttered, through clenched teeth. Just as he spoke, a translucent shield surrounded him, each member of the party gaining their own personal barrier. Similarly, Alicia set herself into position, and MagnaAngemon took to the top of the pit, letting out an arc of energy into the sky, to further displace the razorhail. The energy, in fact, would clip the side of the crimson energy above!
And that was all that was needed to set it off-balance. At once, with a bright spark, the mass of energy discharged, a fierce bolt of lightning cracking down towards Alicia. The bolt, however, would be taken right into that shell, and reflect upwards and away in a fierce arc - a moment later, a crack in the distance would be heard, followed by a pained "GRAURGH!" from their unseen foe! In this short span, a second bolt would sink into the shield, and reflect outwards as well: this time, it wildly flung up, a flash seen and a crack heard above as the second blast chased after different shards of metal.
The third bolt cracked viciously, just as the mirror shell started to crack. This time, the strike didn't spark towards the metal armored dragon, but arced towards their fresh mega underneath: Cion. As it was, the bolt would strike right atop the cybernetic Digimon, energy coursing through the shield, a fair amount of current rushing through her body. However, as she was shielded, most of the energy had failed to be absorbed at all, and thus the bolt would simply detonate inches from her helmet...
... And, by extension, a mere few feet from everyone inside the hole! "Damn it!" The Dracmon swore, the sudden burst of energy making his back hit the wall with a thud! The shield around all four of those in the hole would likely have been vaporized, but honestly, it was the only reason that the imp was swearing and not currently a mass of data. Cion, though, would feel the force first-hand, and it wasn't as if she had stopped being made of metal.
Just a moment later, with one last crack, two more bolts of energy rained down: one, right for Alicia, and the second for the metallic mega! Alicia had the grace of likely being the last one with a shield, and would thus feel what Cion did first-hand: a strong bolt of energy right at the center of her back, 'snapping' with a loud crack with a deafening blast! It would be more than enough to shred away the ultimate's shield, the shock carrying straight through to her legs.
Cion, though, would feel something entirely different: without her own personal shield, should this blast hit, it would strike and course straight into her frame, a powerful current flowing all the way through the feet, before being grounded into Ceresmon's soil. Although there was a bright flash, and the Dracmon would brace himself, there would be no second 'boom', which would be a blessing to the vulnerable imp and human, and a curse to the huntress herself as she'd feel the full blast course straight through her systems.
After that last blast, though, the light would dim, the whole lot of them remaining in that white, thick fog. "Damn it, we're sitting ducks here! We need to-" Just as the virus type started, however, the fog finally began to break, visibility returning almost as quickly as it was stolen away. It was enough to make him blink, squinting to see through that azure zone generated around them...
But where was their assailant? Out in the distance, there was the sound of a rough, slow rustling in the woods, growing further away, but there was no longer anyone in the immediate clearing. Still, could it have really been safe here?
More to the point:
"H-hey! You all still with me?!"
Battle Log: Raider's Surge discharges! 1) The first bolt is hastened, and strikes at Alicia. The attack is deflected, and strikes a target in the fog! 2) The second bolt is deflected towards the source, aimlessly redirecting towards uncharged pieces of metal. 3) The third bolt strikes at Cion. The shield is damaged; electrical damage pierces through Cion's body! Due to low conductivity, the bolt explodes, damaging all shields in the pit! 4) The fourth bolt strikes at Alicia. The shield is damaged; electrical damage pierces through Alicia's body! Due to low conductivity, the bolt explodes, destroying Alicia's shield and damaging Alicia! 5) The fifth bolt strikes at Cion. Provided it hits, the bolt courses through Cion's frame. Due to high conductivity, higher electrical damage is dealt; however, the bolt does not explode! 6) The fog lifts. Renamon nor Devidramon is visible. One target is rustling through the forest!

Through doubt and courage, everyone in the team contributed in one way or the other to assure that the thunders would not strike them down. Be it through sacrifice or support, everyone had something at their disposal to at least attempt to render this hazardous attack futile. And as Cion faced the storm with a grave frown hidden behind her mask, she hoped their efforts had been worth it. She had dreaded digivolving for reasons only known to her, but perhaps she had been unreasonable. She was still in full control of herself after all, both physically and mentally, was she not?
Even if she still had time to contemplate, she would not. That thunders started to rain down upon them, specifically Alicia at first. Many were reflected, and sounds of detonations and screams of pain could be heard in the background, some of the bolts likely having hit more of their adversaries. If they had accidentally hurt bystanders, the vulpine digimon would of course make sure to aid them, even if her active healing ability still required a couple of moments to be available again. However, that was not her first concern.
As to be expected, Alicia's defenses were soon overcome, and a bolt dashed towards her. Standing strongly, she could suddenly feel stabbing pain tearing at her every nerve. Yet she was a proud and stalwart digimon, hence she did not scream but only groaned. Besides, her barrier did a fantastic job in nullifying most of the damage. Still, even when it was over, the huntress could feel her muscles shake from over-stimulation. But she knew that she would manage as she knelt down on one of her knees, taking in heavy breaths as to recover.
But just as she was about to reach the ground, she could hear and feel the force of the detonating levin. Through the shock wave alone, she was sent flying uncontrollably towards the edge of her own zone. Again, she refrained from screaming, despite the desire within her demanding it. Thankfully, she did not have a crash landing, as the small jets attached to her boots kicked in as if controlled by her subconscious. Quickly, the worked against her travel speed, quickly rendering her motionless. The only exception was of course her stumbling on falling to the ground, breathing heavily as she gasped for air.
With her blurry vision shifting, her eyes widened as she realized that the onslaught had been far from over. Another red thunder, maybe even many more, were heading her way. "No... not again." She dared the flash of lightning to face her as she let herself purposefully fall on her back. Reaching out an arm towards the sky, she bellowed "Prismatic Force Field!" Knowing that just in time, she was able to use this defensive ability again, especially in a far more potent form, she felt save.
A prismatic force field dome, significantly sturdier than the flat wall of her previous form, form itself around her and a small are, merging with the solid ground as to let nothing inside. Truth was that the large force field did not fully enclose her, only for 270°, but with the hard terrain on her back that would barely make a difference. The shield would be powerful enough to absorb attacks from digimons of the Mega level, and considering what they had survived thus far she was confident that it would stand strong and tall against the lightning bolt.
So she just rested on her back inside the force field, waiting for the inevitable to happen and the storm to fade. Naturally, if she was save, her dizziness would make her overhear Dracmon and the rustling in the distance. Besides, she was mostly focused on her own thoughts, mainly if she really was this weak...

What came down upon them was certainly not Champion level strength, that much was clearly obvious. It wasn’t even Ultimate level strength, from how heavy the electrical impact was, and for a moment Alicia was concerned her Mirror Shell wouldn’t actually do the trick. But it had endured through the hits it had lasted for. The fact that there we three more bolts coming down frustrated her to no end though, and she winced as Cion and her took the worst of the assault. Though the huntress was easily worse off then she was.
Thanks to Cion’s shielding abilities and her own heavy armor? Alicia was honestly more angry at having been blasted while not being able to directly retaliate then actually hurt. Certainly, her armor steamed and sparked from the blow, but most of the damage had been out right nullifies thanks to how the fox digimon’s barriers worked. And as long as she remained in the Nanomachine Zone, what damage she had sustained would be erased in short order.
She really owed Cion a lot of thanks for that. Dracmon seemed to be in a panic, and for good reason, only for Ceresmon to prove that panic unfounded by having left the cloud bank, allowing their vision to clear up. “Yeah, I’m alright. Can’t thank you enough for the shielding, Cion.” Alicia commented at Dracmon’s rattled question.
”Our enemy is out of sight though. I’d hate to expound upon this thought, but I fear they made use of the cover to go after their true objective.” Sol mused, as he materialized beside Alicia, grimacing.
”Any chance that whole spat gave you enough time to filter out ol’ big bird’s Digital Field? That would be amazingly fortunate.” Kisara quipped out curiously as she appeared too. Despite her attempt at injecting some non-chalant cheer into her voice, the ice maiden’s expression betrayed her worry.
Alicia grimaced a bit as well, as she considered the rustling. Given it’s retreating nature, it might be one of their enemies. But could she afford to leave the others to investigate? Cion was a Mega now, it felt like, but even so she’d still only displayed defensive abilities. Was it possible that she didn’t have any true offensive moves? If that was the case, her leaving meant that the worst of the fighting would be heaped onto MagnaAngemon. Not to mention that he and Mitsuko would likely follow her. If they did and Cion and Dracmon stayed here...
She couldn’t afford to split the group up like that, so she stayed their, remaining on guard. They still needed a little more time to regroup.

"Huzzah!" MagnaAngemon cheered, as he heard the attack reflect and hit something in the distance. It was still too foggy to see anything, but Mitsuko felt her partner land beside her as more bolts were fired upon them. 'I don't know how many more Alicia can take...' Mitsuko worried, as she noticed a brief flash of red before her own eyes! It only took a few seconds, but in those moments everything seemed to go by so quickly! Mitsuko was blasted off of her feet, but what had really saved her was MagnaAngemon had caught her before she could hit a tree or anything else. With a bit of sadness, Mitsuko watched as the digital protections faded off of her body in bits of data just flaking away.
"Suki-Chan!" MagnaAngemon called out to his tamer, as he gently shifted her in his arms. "Are you..."
"I'm fine..." She said softly as she tried to crane her neck to see the others. "Cion... Alicia... Dracmon?" Her worried expression was apparent, wondering who got the worst of the attack.
"They're all alright." MagnaAngemon confirmed as he gently floated back towards the others.
"We're okay." Mitsuko called back to Dracmon. "Thank you guys, for the shields." Mitsuko hopped out of her partner's arms gently as she surveyed the situation. The air was finally clear of the fog, but both enemies had disappeared. The entire team seemed alright, just a bit battle ragged. That much was to be expected. However a new rustling sound filled the air.
The silverette realized Alicia's predicament, go after what was in the bushes and leave the team, or stay and protect everyone? Mitsuko took a step towards it, before she realized how vulnerable she was compared to the others. She couldn't afford to face a new threat head on, but she couldn't stand idly by in case it was an innocent that was hurt in the aftermath of their brief battle. The young musician cast a last glance at her team mates, Cion, Alicia, and the Dracmon. Mitsuko squared her shoulders, as MagnaAngemon stepped right beside her in case of danger.
"Are you... hurt?" Mitsuko called out to the bushes "We can... help you."
"Announce yourself, friend or foe." MagnaAngemon's deep voice echoed, his sword unsheathing itself from his right arm. "We do not want to fight, unless we have to. However, we shall help you if you're in need."
The angelic digimon took a few steps ahead of his partner, but cast a glance back at Alicia. One he knew she would read loud and clear. Should it be a foe, protect Mitsuko. I'll handle this. That was one great perk of working with someone you knew so well, sometimes you could just basically meld into perfect harmony without needing to speak.
Mitsuko watched in awe as her partner took up a defensive, yet non threatening stance. The air was clear, and the Razorhail was finally disappearing. Perhaps things would go a bit better now.

1. Digi Modify: Megabyte Razorhail - 3/3 - Card Duration has officially expired. 2. Gate of Destiny Cooldown - 3/3 - Ability is now reset.

At the very least, the group had managed at least a moment of breathing room.
As the thunder's rage passed and their vision finally returned, the Dracmon was finally able to take stock of their situation. Still in the pit, he saw that Mitsuko had been safely caught in her partner MagnaAngemon's arms, and that Cion was - wait, why was she lying down? Perhaps it wasn't surprising: between her ultimate and mega forms, the huntress had performed quite a long chain of powerful disruption, shielding, and healing abilities over a short span. Though it might have been necessary, even at mega, there wasn't a lot of Digimon who could keep up that sort of pace for very long!
Still, he benefited from the healing aura that the cat provided, the pain struck through his back slowly fading away. Everyone else had more-or-less confirmed that they were still standing, the imp giving a particular nod towards Alicia's group. "Its because of the fight that I got a sense for it, actually. But yeah, my 'eyes' have definitely adapted to this." He stretched out his arms, nails digging into the edge of that hole as he finally pulled himself upwards, back into this now-scorched clearing. "And with how bizarre their data signatures were, it doesn't seem like it'll be hard to keep an eye on them."
That much was certain, at least. With the rustling in the distance, the group had a varied reaction: Alicia stayed close, while MagnaAngemon was quick to deliver an ultimatum to their yet unseen foe. Effective, the Dracmon figured, but he decided to add his own insurance just to be safe: "Sight beyond." The jade-colored eye the imp's left arm gave a glow, as he slowly raised it towards the foliage.
"Its that Metal Devidramon, no doubt. I also don't sense any other Digimon in that direction. Honestly, this is our best chance to take him in." After all, wasn't he just struck by his own lightning? The Dracmon's words were certain, as if he could figure out its condition at a glance!
Just as those words would set in, though, and just when the imp was certain of their next move, 'something' happened. A white flash briefly pulsed from the trees, Dracmon's hand twitching in response. "The heck? Its... the signal's just gone!" The imp really couldn't make heads or tails of that, quickly moving hios palm to sweep the sight around the immediate area. Could the creature blink, could it become untraceable? No, no - if it could, it would have done that in the first place to try and get a better jump on them!
After that flash, though, the same woods again gave a rustle, this time from something far smaller than a demon. The sound would fade - whoever or whatever was there was trying to get distance away from them! "Why, though... even if its someone I can't sense, they would've had to hear MagnaAngemon's warning. Are they trying to goad us in?"
No, no, calm down! The imp shook his head, looking towards the group again. "Our goal's to find the fruit, and I finally have a good chance of being able to see where it is. And if they had a sensory type, we would've been done in by the fog, anyway. How do we want to do this?"
Out of combat. All cooldowns reset. Card uses reset.

Post by Cion on Oct 5, 2017 16:25:09 GMT
Moments went by as both the thunderstorm and her barrier faded for good, leaving Cion on the ground and breathing heavily. She had hoped to hear someone call out her name or lend her a hand, but ultimately, as it was almost always the case, she had been expecting in vain. Of course Alicia, and likely MagnaAngemon and Mitsuko as well, felt and expressed gratitude, but it was ultimately shallow. They could not be bothered to at least return the favor, or aid her because of their current mission, not even Dracmon. Even that was too much to expect from the refuse that fed of this world... as usual. Reliance and trust in anyone, one of the worst mistakes she had ever made.
Bearing her teeth behind her helmet, Cion slowly pushed herself off the ground and stood up, groaning as her breath steadily simmered down. She was still numb from the impact and somewhat damaged, but once her body was filled with energy again in due time, she could patch herself up again. Then, she and also the others would take care of this metal madness and restore peace to this living, floating island. How exactly that would occur she still had to figure out.
Her golden eyes narrowed as the CyberSagitamon Huntress Mode gently beat the dust out of her armor and binary-code coat-dress before extending her hand. With a white flash, the futuristic anti-material rifle she had once dropped was now within her grasp again, and it felt pretty good. It was light, yet sturdy and powerful; much more so than her previous bow. Maybe it was even powerful enough to penetrate the metal even with minor projectiles, and she could not even yet fathom the heat it could pack once she would be able to unleash its full might. But that was for a later time.
"I'm fine, thanks." She apathetically answered to Dracmon as she joined the others, her gaze shifting to the origin of the unknown noises, mostly indifferent towards whatever Alicia was now, probably a spirit-wielder like Kan. She would have spat right into MagnaAngemon's face for insisting that she was just fine, but neither was she capable of doing so due to her helmet nor would she degrade herself to such a low level. Besides, such petty grudges did not suit a sophisticated woman like herself, the fulfilling her task had utmost priority.
"Don't mention it." Cion responded calmly as Mitsuko thanked everyone for the shields. Of course they would first worry about a stranger, a potential threat, if it was hurt, leaving the armored, vulpine digimon to sigh. Still, she figured they had a point; ally or foe, they had to deal with it somehow. At least Dracmon still proved to be a useful scout, stating that he wouldn't have problems tracking down whatever they would face in the future. And apparently, the digimon the others were hellbent on helping was actually the Devidramon that had just attacked them. "Good. Let's remove that hindrance, shall we?" Cion asked with utmost patience in her middle-aged, synthetic voice.
But before they could even discuss the matter at hand... it seemed the Devidramon had disappeared in a white flash of light. Yet another, smaller noise in the distance appeared, and Dracmon tried to make sense out of it in vain. Turning to the imp-digimon, she was quick to nod and formulate a plan. "It's possibly a de-digivolved form of Devidramon, maybe even untainted by the metal somehow. I'm confident we can ignore it for now and stick with the plan at hand, finding the fruit. Any objections?"
