The Trailmon was moving along briskly through the woods. Kitsumaru knew it wouldn't be long until they reached their destination. He was hoping he would find his partner soon, as the anticipation was eating him alive. He stated blankly out the window and through the trees. The trees cast shadows, setting and eerie tone. The Trailmon shook slightly as loud booms echoed, deeper on the woods. Kitsumaru felt unease, hoping it wouldn't cause any trouble for the Trailmon. He could have sworn he saw debris flying towaRd their direction. It was likely that there were Digimon fighting in the woods which wasn't terribly uncommon. Kitsumaru frowned. Had he been stronger, he would have kept fighting alongside Patamon. Unfortunately, he let his fear consume him which resulted in him retiring from his adventuring days quite early.
The noise neared and Kitsumaru began to grow a bit more anxious. He stared even more intently out the window. The trees flicked by quickly, and Trailmon seemed to move even faster now, aware of what was going on in the woods. They were within an hour of the Village of Beginnings and Kitsumaru was hoping the new sense of urgency would aid them in getting there sooner. The sun was beginning to lower itself in the sky, and Kitsumaru hoped it would stay above the horizon until he found his friend. Clouds were drifting across the skyline, occasionally covering the bright sun, casting shadows upon the surrounding area. The trees began growing thicker and taller, causing the sun to disappear almost completely. The sky was barely visible now and Kitsumaru could no longer tell how quickly the sun was setting. A dense fog began to overtake them and the rumbling now seemed nonexistent. It was as if the fog was blocking out the outside world.
