Alice had a lot different things to worry about over some random guy in a wheelchair she was pushing around. Like where was the very consistent threats of attack gonna come from at her this time, how she was gonna escape, and WHAT WAS GOING ON WITH LEO!? She stared at Leo as he slashed at a fireball and fell back, rolling back to his feet. Then he ran off somewhere, which confused Alice to no end. He clearly was doing something and she was curious, but didn't feel like getting hit today. She looked at the two with her in hopes that they were done being nice and friendly or sad or whatever. "That thing didn't seem friendly, should we follow or just you know... Do the smart thing and find safety?"
Leo, as stated before, slashed at the fire ball, denying it from his head, but was thrown back. Upon hitting the ground, he hurriedly got back to his feet with a roll and started chasing after the attacker. He chased the flames, avoiding touching them, noting it was very hot near them. He blade was full drawn now as he ran, that hunt was now on for a certain foe.

Katsura was more or less attacked by Duffer in such a sudden move she didn't even have time to move her arms. The result was Katsura was standing right in front of the wheelchair, her arms pointing towards the ground and completely engulfed in Duffer's hug. Worse was that Duffer was currently in total grief, rambling about how he didn't expect a digimon to die, what do you say in this situation? Oh right this was actually a topic Katsura was versed in! "I think I heard digimon gets reincarnated when they die we can check in the village of new..." Katsura was interrupted by something, a presence? Maybe a digimon of an unknown species. Katsura froze for a moment as a burning hot being that looked like a white stain stared in her eyes. Katsura wasn't afraid she just stared back at it with her empty look.
"Hello?" Katsura said to the entity behind Duffer, from the lack of eye contact it should be obvious to Duffer that she was speaking to someone behind him.
Nyao meanwhile was just about to intervene in the fight after seeing Leo having great trouble fighting with this fire shooting being. That event, unfortunately happened to sudden for Nyao to prevent, but now that it has shown its hostility Nyao felt no qualms about drawing her sword that was the size of Katsura. Pointing it to the sky which resulted in the sword shining white like the sun. Then she walked next to Duffer facing towards the entity. A roasted Katsura was clearly not something Nyao would permit anytime soon. |

The ghostly figure stared at the young girl hugging the tearful boy, unmoving even as the Leomon chased it and the Minervamon got ready to strike. It opened its mouth, letting out a bizzare mix between a death rattle and a moan of agony. It moved forwards towards the two, a single arm out-stretched. As its mouth opened a face became far more apparent, a face with blank white eyes and features innate to an impmon, in its outstretched palm another blue fireball began forming and growing larger and hotter. Duffer continued mourning, even as his own demise took several steps towards him.
The closer the Leomon got the more noticeable would be something peculiar about this thing. From behind it could almost see through the creature, through the white exterior into the skeleton-shaped data that formed it, of all colors and codes. It was incomplete, however, possessing only one leg and lacking a lower jaw but possessing what appeared to be a cobbled-together set of wings. From behind Leo could see its slow walk towards the two children was because of its unfortunate design, rather than any actual choice. It paused when Leo got close enough, and spun its head around, sounds of snapping and crackling as its inner spinetwirled around like a rope, exposing the data skull to Katsura and Nyao. Its eyes fell ablaze, literally, as it stared down the digimon who followed. With sickening cracks, its arm holding the flame twisted unnaturally up and over its shoulder to point towards Leo.

Alice stared at the creature for but a moment, but that moment was definitely long enough to know it was out to kill her. She looked to Katsura and said, "Let's get to a place where we won't get slaughtered by a Digighost, let the big hitters deal with this one." She then got ready to push the chair behind cover so that they were safe from the oncoming battle.
Leo, on the other hand, was majorly confused by the way this creature was. It was unnatural, a chimera of data. He held his stance and moved up, getting ready to attack. "Stay away from those humans if you wish to live!" He leaped at the creature, slashing down at its wings in hopes of cleanly removing them. After this attack, he'd leap back to try and give some room for his weapon to strike again if needed. He just had to play this battle smart and he could pull through.

The ghostly figure was starting to look like an impmon, what might have been a terrifying and likely deadly foe to Kotemon felt rather underwhelming to Nyao a current mega in chrome-digizoid armor. Either way, this thing had a kill count and will likely go after Katsura if given the chance, a chance Nyao couldn't afford to give it.
Katsura used this occasion to take out her digidevice with the improved scanner pointing it at ghostly figure and pressed "scan". Now hopefully Katsura would get some information about this thing that has antagonized everyone. Now if only Duffer would let Katsura lift her arm enough to look at the screen of course which hopefully will happen when he takes Alice's hint and let him be pushed out of the way.
Nyao wasn't very affected by the attempt to burn them all, she merely lifted her arm up blocking the fireball with her shield. The shield briefly turned red due to the blue flames and was starting to cool down. But so far you probably shouldn't touch the front of her shield. "Okay that's enough, if you attack again I'll get aggressive." Nyao said sternly not at all intimidated by the freaks show that followed in fact Nyao stared the being back when it looked at Nyao. Nyao wasn't moving out of that spot, she wasn't flinching but on the other hand she hadn't technically attacked yet. What would the ghostly digimon do now?

At what first appeared to simply phase through the digimon gave way to one of the beast's wings falling off, landing to the ground and bursting into the blue flames it was penchant towards before finally disintegrating into code. It continued to burn as the beast stared down the leomon, it clearly aware of its current disadvantage. If the leomon were to look closely, he would spot the second wing moving upwards before thrusting to the ground and the beast flying into the tree-tops, presumably to regroup and regain its element of surprise.
Duffer moved to Alice, letting out a pained grunt as he did so. He hated this. He wished he had his bat and legs again. Right now he was just a liability, the first guy Jason would throw down a staircase to prove his villainousness. This angst was definitely not helping either. But if Kotemon were here he'd want him to stay out of the way, to let these pros deal with the issue. He'd need to hone his self-preservation skills here.
"We need to get to a hiding place, do you see any hollow trees or anything?" The boy asked.
With Duffer out of the way Kat could look at her digivice, seeing something rather curious. The device was glitching out, trying to show 5 to 10 different digimon's profiles at once including, naturally, kotemon and impmon. As the beast fled, leaving behind the burning wing, Kat's digivice would identify the scrap as a biyomon before it vanished.
