Broken Machines, Not Dreams [Yuu]

Kan's logic was sound, just as Yuu expected from the man. Yeah, truth was that if the guy responsible from this was still at large, they'd be able to find more samples... if they could, that is. Just as she said, getting to wrestle another of those berserk monsters wasn't exactly something she looked forward too.
But at least it seemed that dude was making some progress! That was pretty good. She knew that he'd miss some stuff given that the whole thing was a wreck, but that was already progress none of the brainers over her had managed to do. Pretty impressive, she had to say. A note was quickly passed at the man's verdict.
Sure thing, mate. You have the green light to deconstruct this thing as much as you see fit. For me, it's just a bunch of scrap anyways. Even having a clue of how to destroy or jam a device like this, should I find another is good enough for me. By the way, have you let found anything related to how it operates? Or that's just a big question mark? No rush, I'm just kinda looking forward to understanding this thing.
To be honest, this was beginning to get really interesting.

Kan frowned as he ran his hands along the console's exterior. There wasn't much that he could do to pull it apart naturally. The thing seemed fairly seamless to him, that or maybe he just wasn't looking in the right place? He'd have to look at the computer after this, but if the console had some form of line in two separate places it'd be very difficult to pull apart. It was likely just welded together or perhaps something else. He wasn't really sure.
"As far as operation? well I know that the main cable was either a regulation cable for the power... or something else entirely. I'd have to pull the upper portion apart and then see what sort of information it has inside for me. I'd like to say that without the regulation cable that the process would be impossible any way about it. So power, obviously is very important for it. It might even have some inner batteries that got burnt out; which could be great. Overloading those would cause the rest of the electrical systems to fry, and might even have an explosive feedback. There might be a way of reversing the flow, which would likely have the opposite effect."
He'd huff a bit and go over to his tools, picking out what looked to be a small knife.
"I'll have to tear this thing apart, and then catalog everything. That way I can be certain. It's too early to suggest anything quite yet, but if someone did have a strong enough electrical attack? They'd be able to take care of this without issue. For not knowing how this thing worked, whomever attacked this hit some very good spots, even gave me a window to pry open the outer casing."

This seemed like the part when everything became difficult. For sure, Yuu knew that this process would take a fair bit of time, and she wasn't even sure if Kan would get something worthwhile out of it, but the end result was bound to be interesting.
Nodding at his progress, she began to think about the possibilities the components be inside and about who gave the finishing blow to the console. Well, yes. Kan kinda...
I might've forgotten about it, but chances are that somebody with a spear enveloped in electricity stabbed right into that thing and actually overloaded the console. It was a Champion-Level attack, so I'm not so sure about how potent it was, but I think that was enough to deal with the device for good. Other than that, I think that it should be pretty easy to pick apart; as I said, feel free to disassemble the whole thing as you see fit. Just as long as we get some insight into how it works, it'll probs be worth it.
Just as the blonde handed out that note, Kyo began descending into the basement. She seemed sleepy, but still managed to smile towards her partner and Kan. "Good... evening, guys. How're you doing?"

Kan placed the knife against the side of the console with the damage on it. He knew the general thickness of it, as well as that it was a pretty good make. He didn't know exactly what it was made out of but he was taking a guess with using this knife. It was sharp and meant to cut through things and get into the insides of stuff he normally worked with just to get the parts of. Such as cases like this, most of the time he used this for computers with harder casing. But in one such as this? He had to practically saw his knife back and forth to make a lick of progress. It'd take an hour just to get one side done before he'd even get down to the hole in question. And then likely another two. So he'd need about six hours total of just sawing away at this thing.
"So then we have a general power level of what was used to destroy this, which gives me a basis to work on around strength of the counter measure that could be worked on for it. It's going to take about six hours to get this cover off so i can work on the inside without issue. Unless you have some kind of cutter that's low power, that way it should only take an hour each side."
Kan would glance back to the partner and return the smile quickly.
"As good as can be expected. I think that I'll have this thing cracked by the end of tommorow. Visit to the location it was taken from or not."

Well, this definitely would take Kan some time. He had already said it; six hours? Well, given that it was evening already, he'd be done at... one or two AM? Well, she wasn't meaning to stay up the whole night, and neither expected the man to.
You sure you wanna engage in this right now? I mean, you'll probably be finished way too late to even begin doing anything meaningful to it. Maybe you want to get a spin outta it tomorrow in the morning? Idk, I'm just saying that you aren't forced to finish right now, mate. In any case, I'm definitely not watching you work for six hours straight. Gotta unwind a bit.
And maybe finish some of the paperwork she had left pending. Man, administrative duties were a pretty heavy drag. Anyhoooow; Yuu proceeded to promptly exit the basement, leaving Kyo there, who didn't mind watching Kan work. In fact, disassembling a machine was way more interesting than looking at how her partner just wrote on a sheet of paper.
"Are you sure you want to spend the whole night doing this? Seems like a hell lot of work. Anyhow, I think I've slept enough, so I think I'll watch for a bit!"

Kan rubbed his neck and glanced back at yuu, quirking a brow as she seemed to be a bit surprised from how long he said it'd take. He'd read over her note quickly and chuckle softly before shaking his head.
"yes I'm sure, at the very least I'll get the cover off and then tommorow I can tear through the insides. This isn't me rushing or anything; there's so much more that needs to be addressed as is. So At the very least I'd like to have a strong basis when those crop up. Or honestly I could probrably just go to the human world and pick up some more equipment. Either way, Its going to take about that long. After all don't want anyone to see me bringing something like a cutter into the train station."
He'd shrug a little bit and watch her go, thoughtfully stroking his chin before sitting down next to the console. He'd work at cutting at the outer layer for maybe a minute or two before glancing back at Yuu's partner.
"Of course not, but I'd like to get this outer plating taken care of one way or another. So it's either this or go to the human world to get some better equipment."
Kan would sigh and shake his head a bit. He wasn't sure what he wanted to do really, either way it was going to be a dull proccess of him sawing away at this thing. But if he did go to the human world it'd be mostly just transit time which wasn't too bad... It was a pity he didn't have something to go back to the human world or something like that.
"...I'm an idiot. I always forget about that. I have a digiport. This is going to be stupid fast."

Maybe... Yuu's night wouldn't be as long, or as uneventful as she had expected. The small fact that Kan had quick access to the human world made one thing very clear. He had quick access to the human world. And that meant he'd be back pretty soon, right?
Kyo couldn't but gaze at him, pondering a bit on what he'd actually do about the revelation. "So... are you traveling back to the human world or not? I guess you can make it back here pretty quickly!" But, whether he'd do it or not, she guessed only time would tell.
The blonde, on her stead, would just open yet another cold one before getting back to her work. She had to sign like... thirty or so documents before being finished for the week. In a sense, that was a bit of a relief, but she was frankly considering to hire someone to do this boring stuff for her at this point.

Kan looked over the console for a little bit, taking enough time to saw down maybe an inch so he could see the actual thickness for himself. He'd frown massively and shake his head. It'd take even longer than that if he stuck with this method. He'd have to go back to the human world and get something for this. It'd take almost no time at all, and he could safely cut through this thing.
"Yeah. I think I'm going to have to. It's thicker than I thought, so I spose it won't take too long with the digiport in hand."
He'd stand up dusting himself off, he'd take out his digivice with a thoughtful expression. What else was he really going to do? He didn't want it to take even longer than that, else he might get a tad frustrated. Which was never good with working with new machines or the ilk.
"Yeah, should only take a little bit. I bet I can bring some more things too. Other than the cutter at least. It won't take me back here though, I'll need someone to open the door for when I get back all right?"
He'd turn his head to Kyo and give her a small smile.
"So if you could open the door up when I get back that'd be great. Shouldn't take too long I think?"

That much was to be guessed. Using non-power tools to work in this piece of machinery was probably a foolish endeavor, and Kan didn't look like a foolish man. "Roger that." Kyo responded to the man; she knew of digiport tech, and also knew that the thing could make travels to and from the Digital World a piece of cake. Could come really in handy when you had to move.
After a quick nod, she understood what would be the task she had to fulfill. Pretty much being the watchdog and wait for Kan's return from wherever he had to go. Well... that was easy enough! "Sure thing. Just as long as you don't take six hours or so, I should be awake by the time you come back. Just go get that stuff and I'll be waiting over here. Opening the door ain't an issue, I can perfectly take care of that."
It wasn't like opening the door was particularly difficult or something. If the man made a gesture to exit, the Plotmon would bid her farewell and just go to check on her partner, who currently was... finally finishing with her work for a change, and after a brief exchange, going to sleep.
