Days turn to weeks, months turn to years. Though as time passes, some things remain the same. Somewhere deep down inside, people have the urge to play MMOs. I know, it's unhealthy, and it will kill your diet and exercise routine, but still, that need to grind in a fantastic world can not be tamed forever. And this such feeling was about to boil over for a certain young Tamer. "Wormmon, I want to play an MMO." The trio is on their way to meet with Shirou for lunch at the Chicken Hut. Dante, a young man with medium length blonde hair, his goatee starting to grow longer, wearing a leather jacket with dark blue jeans and a red flannel shirt. Judith, a young woman with long blonde hair, wearing a yellow cutoff tank top with a short white jacket, black shorts, and white boots. And then there was Wormmon, the Worm King, the King of Sting. He's wearing his holosuit to go out in public. He looks like a teen girl with long green hair, and a white and silver schoolgirls uniform. A little overdressed for eating chicken with friends.
They arrive at the Chicken Hut, and see Shirou's white limousine parked outside. "Looks like he beat us here." Dante parks the car and they head inside. Shirou is sitting over in a booth, eating fried chicken and pizza. He sees the group and waves. Shirou has glasses and long black hair, and he is wearing a silver and dark blue track suit. "Greetings. Hope you don't mind, but I started eating without you." The group places their order and sits down to eat. "How have you been Shirou?" "Oh, you know. Glued to a computer screen. Profits for this quarter at the ice cream factory are up 28%. But that's mostly because of the warmer weather this time of year. What about you guys? How's your music career going, Judith?" "It's starting to take off. My last album was canceled, but I'm pretty sure I'll get another offer." "It's tough, competing in a sea of maid clones. Maybe your style of pop music just isn't going to get over here in Japan?"
Judith thought for a bit. "Hmm, maybe you are right. I haven't considered moving away from Japan. That would be such a drastic change." "Judith's moving? Oh dear Goddess! Now who's going to keep Dante in line?" "You're just upset because you would miss having a girl around. Besides, Judith's not moving anywhere." Shirou takes a sip from his soda cup. "Perhaps at some point you might want to consider moving for your career. Though I can't imagine the three of you not living together. However, I have certain matters that I wish to discuss with you." "Oh here we go. I knew you didn't just wanna go out for chicken." "What's it this time, Shirou? Did you invent a new way to creep out women?"
"I assure you, I would not be hassling you with this if I could fix things on their own. I'm sure that you are familiar with my MMO fantasy game." "The one we played at the arcade? What about it?" "Well during my absence from the company, new management took over the game. They have ruined my wonderful MMO with all the faults I strived so hard to stay clear from. Pay to play, microtransactions, new gear that becomes useless 3 months after you get it..." "I would think you would be okay with exploiting players for profit." "Not when it comes to my game. It was the pure RPG experience. A thriving in game economy, regular updates, and I was in command of it all." Wormmon takes a savage bite out of a chicken leg. "Nom nom, ya, and I like the giant laser cannon."
"So what are you saying, Shirou?" "I'm saying, we go back inside the game, and overthrow new management from within. I couldn't hack back into the system without being detected. I needed to find a way to move about the game's files unnoticed. Using an employee account listed as a senior admin, I should be able to tap back into the system without them even knowing I'm back." Dante gets excited. It has been so long since they played Shirou's Game. The character customization, the epic gear, the lava spider boss. "Sounds good to me. I've been looking for a good MMO I can sink my life into." "Excellent. We shall leave for the arcade after our meal." Life and responsibilities are about to be put on the backburner. "Woo! Look out, you guys. Commander Laserbust and her giant cannons are coming back."

It's been a long day off for the trio known as Timothy, Bibi, and Faluo. Of course, the only logical thing to do on a day off is to grind in an MMO all day, and the trio had one that they mainly went about in, no matter how crappy it's gotten at times. They've even developed a strategy to stay ahead of the game when it came to new gear and equipment and all these negative changes. A good player could always adapt, a good group could always triumph. Surprisingly enough, they were a good group.
Timothy got everyone hooked up and logged in, then logged himself in. They were all still as good as they could possibly be at the moment, but a new update was due a week and as per usual, their equipment would be rendered useless, in one week. They had some work cut out for them. Timothy was currently on his battlemage, it wore a big pointy hat, and some chainmail wizard robes. With a pistol in his left hand, and a shortsword in his right hand.
Bibi was currently on her paladin. She had some incredibly white heavy looking armor, a giant sword, and her holy smiting abilities. She had snow-white hair and was quite a large woman. Well, her current character's avatar was. She was quite terrifying-looking with all the armor though.
Faluo was on his Assault Specialist for the day. He carried a shotgun and a large sword. He had some form of Kevlar-looking armor and was ready to do battle with anyone at any time. His character at the moment had shaved, black hair and a fabulous beard. His helmet covered most of his hair on his head though.
The group needed a few quests to do and at the moment, they didn't really know what they wanted to do for the day. They guessed it would come to them eventually.

After finishing their meal with Shirou, the gang heads over to the arcade to grind, grind, grind. They follow Shirou to the VIP room, complete with food, beds, and a bathroom, so you never have to stop playing for long. With enough money, a person could live here and play the MMO all day and night, stopping occasionally to sleep. Shirou goes up to the main panel, and Keramon uploads a program Shirou designed to help skate around some of the cheap updates. "With this, we should be able to access some of the features that have been locked behind a paywall. We will also receive better gear, to make up for the revolving door of new equipment." "I'm only going to play for a while. These violent games are not really my thing." Dante reaches down and puts on the virtual reality helmet and gloves, and the others do the same and sign on.
Dante dusts off his Duelist character. He keeps the long black hair with a red stripe that he selected last time. This time he builds his skillset towards Tanking, equipping both an ability that draws more agro from mobs, as well as a rune that increases his chance to dodge. He equips some basic chainmail armor, easily replaced by gear down the line, but still stronger than the legendary gear he got before all the updates. Wormmon drastically changes his well endowed character, respecing as a Sorceress, a Mage type class with a focus on dark magic. Wormmon gives his character long black hair with braids and a ponytail, and equips very revealing black and red robes. "That skirt is short, even for you, buddy." "Just wait til we get more gear. There's outfits even sexier than this, right Shirou?" "Oh, most definitely. And I see that you still have a few notches on the breast size."
Judith isn't impressed with the boys' perverted attitudes. "Childish... Let's see, what kind of character should I go with? Oh, I can be an Elf. Now which class?" "Well we could always use a Healer." "Don't worry, I got the heals covered." "Hey Judith, you should be a Bard. You know, because you like to sing." "You're right. Good call, Wormmon." Judith makes a female Elf Bard with a large lute. She makes her character look like her, with long blonde hair and a slender build. She equips some green basic elven robes and leather armor. Shirou chooses a half Human, half wolf demon character. For his class he selects Druid, a multipurpose class focused on using nature and spirit magic. He specs towards healing/support to provide several buffs for the party down the line. His wolf demon has long grey hair with fuzzy dog ears, and he equips blue and white robes that grant a bonus to his healing. With everyone ready, they load into the game.
Dante, the Duelist, Shirou, the Druid, Wormmon/Willow the Sorceress, and Judith the Bard successfully enter the game. They appear in one of the game's larger cities. Dante looks around at all the buildings. "Wow, things have changed a lot." While the buildings may be larger, the style hasn't changed much from the classic fantasy setting. The game also retains its stunning graphics, as well as a somewhat cutesy style for its characters. Upon entry, they are given a new quest. Shirou is the first to open his quest log by bringing up a hologram page and scrolling through with his hands. Even though the game was set in a more medieval setting, there was advanced technology from regular sci fi games as well. Different areas of the game were focused on different styles. "Let's see, looks like this quest is designed to introduce new and old players to some of the new features."
The four players take a moment to go over some of the different menu screens. It was daunting basically starting out from the bottom, but given enough time, their abilities and their gear would eventually be something worthwhile. Wormmon looks around and sees players recruiting for a party. Above their head it reads "Crotum Raid 4/6 Must be 220+ Armor Level." A lower level player runs around looking for a party to join, but the other players ignore him because of his level. "Can I please join your party? I've done this raid before." "You have to be at least 220. Get lost, noob!" "But, that's why I'm trying to do the raid. To get better armor and increase my armor level..." Wormmon is not impressed with the elitist gamers. "Hmph, bunch of snobs. Those jerks probably kissed butt to get somebody to carry them."
Dante continues scrolling through different menus. "What else is there? Guild? Don't need to bother with that yet. Pets, oh look a penguin! Friends list, hey I have some friends online! And they are nearby." Dante looks around the city to see if he spots his friends. Dante and Wormmon walk over to the market square and look around at all the players, some of them have shops opened up in the square. "Dante, let's buy some better gear!" "The things they are selling cost a lot more than what we have. Let's do some missions, get some gold, and level up before we start buying gear." Shirou and Judith head over to Wormmon and Dante. "Do you see your friends? Maybe we can team up. That reminds me, I'll start a party." "I'm starting the party. Accept my invite. Also, I wanna be the Guild Master when we make our guild." "Guilds, ugh..."

Being adopted by the headmistress Calysta had its benefits for Katsura. For once she no longer had to be a street girl, now only doing such things out of habit and profit. Another benefit was extra spare time and the chance to find new hobbies and so she went on the internet where she found a mmo. Katsura was surprisingly adaptive, her calculating nature meant things like stats and dps and cooldowns quickly got to her, a brief check on a wikia page later and Katsura had expanded her vocabulary with words like "XP", "grinding" and "Drop-rate". Finally on the chat she heard words like munchkin, twick and griefer. Wait... what?
Katsura under the pseudonym XXXbloodyrists666XXX had only played for a month and was already notorious in the big online city.
It all started a week in when her level was in the tens, open checking the wikia page Katsura had noticed that the level 0 "Basic Bronze dagger" used the exact same sprite as the rarest weapon in the entire game worth millions of gold. Now what did Katsura do with that information? Katsura filled out her entire cache with "Basic bronze dagger". Then she told several top level players to trade their gear with her. Not everyone bought it but the end result was by the level 20, Katsura was the mmo equivalent of a millionaire wandering around in end-game gear that was supposed to be raided.
Now was the time to get some stats and fill a niche, Katsura had realized that by being a sorcerer and spend all her stats in INT, it didn't even matter that she had ridiculously low health because a fire ball could now wipe out an entire area for encounters. By doing this XXXbloodyrists666XXX quickly rose to the high level she is now.
Back in the present real life
"Come on Katsura, this is about killing others. Let's try this pvp thing" "Nyao, I don't want to hurt others. There are people behind the screen." "Aww that's boring. It's just a game anyway, if you don't want to then let me play." And thus Nyao pushed Katsura off the chair and hijacked her account. Nyao then attacked a new player, earning mere 2 xp but got a lot of fun from reading the chat. Then XXXbloodyrists666XXX (Nyao) went on rampage through the city killing every newcomer player on her way. Until a red chat message arrived on her screen.
[IF YOU PROCEED ANY FURTHER YOUR ACCOUNT WILL BE PERMA-BANNED, THIS IS YOUR LAST WARNING] A frustrated Katsura managed to wrist the control of the account back. "See? You can't just hurt others even in a game!"

Though this day turned out to be a bit more, alive then he might have imagined there was still the burning feeling that he didn't want to go home now, while he had to go back home eventually it was now time to pursue the small thing that made any kid happy, of course, it was video games. While Edgar never really prefer playing games with just a tad too much violence he didn't really see any game that might offer a better time killer than an MMO. Aside from a few tricks and words he didn't really know much on the subject, such as what character to play in order to get the most out of playing. But who really cares about maximizing everything, apparently everyone who hardcore plays an MMO ever but eh. Plus it was finally a chance to shine on his own, maybe not in the way that'd be best for real life but a virtual score will at least make him feel better, even if just a little bit.
Managing to find himself sneaking a bit through the crowds and finding his way to the game, thing. Was this seriously where gaming has gone? Feeling like whoever made stuff like this could do better he quickly shook his head before logging into the game, he had to sign up though and never doing something like this barely managed to log in, using his dad's email address not having his own. (Not like he'd ever check) And had to pick a name, Edgar. Taken, Shea, Taken. Edea, Taken. Shgar, Taken. Eventually, through many different combinations of his first and last name, he managed to get the name Ehgaa. While stupid it wasn't taken, plus it wasn't like he was gonna play this for that long right, right?
Deciding what he wanted he just went with what he always did in games, Battlemage. Except he only came with one weapon, a large staff he'd use to beat the tar out of someone, very, very bad for long range but get in close and basically he was unstoppable. With enough self-sustaining buffs to make him a tank He felt his chosen class was good, then again he had no idea what he was doing.
Getting to, somewhere? Not that he'd know where he was he managed to get in line just in time to see someone, merciless slaughtering all newcomers that came to the town, luckily he was spared this onslaught as the character just stopped killing for a second, Edgar then used this time to slowly back up figuring he'd go look for quests or whatever hoping whoever that was didn't see the target and he'd get to play the game for more than five minutes before encountering a brutal end.

Timothy, under the alias of MetalMagic, opened up all his menus just to see what was going on. They were safe to do some raids if they wanted to. Might be fun to drag a few lowbies through. Though he'd need a few more people with the gear to do that. His guild of three very well equiped players probably wouldn't be able to pull off a sixteen-man... Maybe an eight-man raid if they tried hard enough. This character was mainly built for DPS as well, so he would still need a dedicated healer, even though he did have some slight burst healing capabilities to keep him going for a while.
Bibi, under the alias of BirdInquisition, had already raced through all her info and made sure her gear was up to date. How was she so quick with this while Timothy and Faluo took their times? The answer was that she just skimmed and didn't bother with the minor details. If it was better, it was better, no point making sure it was perfect for her class and all the minor details like playstyle and stuff, just adapt. It works best for her at least.
Faluo, under the alias SwissArmySword, finished up all his gear updating and speccing that he needed to do. It was a simple task for someone as advanced as him. He lead the group into a nearby street corner as they watched some crazed lunatic go on a mad killing spree. What was wrong with people these days? Oh well. Some other newbie seemed to be walking away, smart kid. He and his group decided to just sit there and watch as the player almost got themselves banned.
Timothy opened up his friends list while this was going on, just curious to see who was on at the moment. There were a few people, none of them too powerful or anything. Though one seemed well levele- wait, was that Dante? Huh, it said he was nearby. They should probably look into that soon.

The gang is about to start a quest when OH MY GODDESS! Someone is terrorizing the starting area, going on a killing spree, targeting low level players. All of a sudden Shirou is engulfed in a wave of flames. His health drops to zero and he falls to the ground. "No, Shirou!" Judith runs up to the psychopath and confronts her with her hands on her hips. "What the hell do you think you're doing going around killing people?! Other players are trying to start leveling, and you're here exploiting your power to ruin their day." Judith didn't realize that Bloodyrists was actually being played by Katsura's partner Nyao. Dante runs over to Judith and tries to calm her down. "It's alright, let's just go back to questing."
There were players either just starting out, or didn't have the new gear from the updates, and they didn't appreciate a high level steamrolling over them. Dante and Judith go back to Shirou's body. Dante reaches down and a menu box pops up. He is given the option to revive Shirou, and brings him back. "What was that all about? It seems low level players can be resurrected with little penalty." "I guess even this area can be dangerous. We should group up with other players and start grinding quests." Dante checks the area and recognizes some players on his friends list. "Hey, that looks like Timothy and the twins!" Dante hurries over to greet his buds. "Is that you, Timothy? It's me, Dante. Do you wanna group up for some quests?"
The group starts finding more players to join the party. They set out to the farmland outside the city to get some quests out of the way. In addition to the usual, "Go kill a bunch of monsters" type of quests, there are also quests like farming. The group starts a quest where they have to collect wool from sheep. Judith has fun petting the sheep, and feeds it some grain. "So this game doesn't have to be all about the bloodshed. You can do other things too." "Yes, it seems that there is a stronger focus on leveling up different skills like cooking, and fishing. I should level up my tailoring to make better gear." Wormmon gets bored of sheering wool from sheep, and goes back to slaughtering low level wolves and goblins.
Everyone explores the area, leveling up different skills as well as their combat skills. Judith in particular takes a liking to sheering and playing her lute. "Hey Judith, with you collecting wool from sheep, I can use tailoring to make gear for us." "Cool. Also, we need to figure out which gear is going to sell for the most, so we can actually turn a profit." "Now you are getting it. It does cost a lot of gold just to get these skills leveled up." Certain quests shared with the party would be completed even if only one player finished it, so working together they are able to rake in more experience. They start receiving better gear, but it is only slightly better, and nowhere near what they will need for later areas.
Pretty soon, the area was full of players grinding. The local market was flowing with all kinds of goods. Basic things like wheat and wool did not sell for much, considering how much easier it was to harvest, but more advanced goods like enchant scrolls and special armor could net players a small fortune early on. Out of the four of them, Wormmon was having a harder time focusing on his secondary skills. "Come on, Wormmon. You've got to level up something. Don't you want to make money and buy better gear?" "I'd rather incinerate goblins with my dark magic than mess around with that stuff." "Why don't you take up mining, and blacksmithing? You would just have to mine ore when you are out on missions, then you can smelt it into weapons and armor." "Wormmon is a Sorceress. What use would he have for blacksmithing?" "Well we already have the robes covered. What skills do look fun to you?" "Hmm, how about wood cutting? It says I get to chop down trees and work part time as a lumber jack." "Again, you are not a big tough character. Just go with enchanting. You could make a killing with that down the line." "Fine. I'll go with enchanting, and wood cutting. But that means you have to be the blacksmith, tough guy. Now go fetch me an ax!"

OCC: Can we please settle on a format for IC chat messages? Especially Dante's post was hard for me to decipher.
Perhaps the funniest message Nyao received during XXXbloodyrists666XXX rein of terror was from a bard named LayDLuvCoff33 who threw a fit at her although for legitimate reasons. Katsura shock her head in disbelief wholeheartedly agreeing that this was not acceptable behavior. And so Katsura just watched the character Ehgaa running away likely in terror.
"That guy is definitely hating us now." "Don't worry it's just a game." "I know, it's just that I don't want to be evil. And we nearly got banned forever." XXXbloodyrists666XXX then wandered around the city, as punishment for the recent genocide the admins had placed a floating skull above Katsura's avatar. The skull had the effect that everyone not currently OP actively avoided being near her character in fear of getting killed. It was rather humiliating for Katsura who felt like a criminal on the run. For everyone else around her it meant they were warned not to approach XXXbloodyrists666XXX unless they're either high level or suicidal. Now what to do...
Katsura looked on the chat and found something peculiar. "Timothy, twins? Nyao you don't think it could be that Timothy?" "I don't know, it's a popular game maybe." "Wait... There's this Dante name again. Just who is that guy?" "Well you can ask in the chat." "Hang on, let me try something."
Katsura moved her character within range of XGoldxFoX99 the duelist, then she clicked on him and pressed "Add friend"

Well, that was, something to say the least about that situation. At least they seemed to of already slated their bloodlust before getting to the young character, while he was happy about that turn of events he was curious as to why a game would just let you, kill everyone? That seemed a tad bit unfair. At least without punishmen- his thought was cut short as a red skull appeared next to their name, he supposed that was the showing that they killed people? While not a punishment in his eyes he supposed it was better than just having nothing happen. He tried to ignore that fact but his curiosity was peaked, to say the least, and while she did just slaughter an entire. Maybe it was a stupid idea to approach the insane murderer, that skull did not help the fact but hey, what was the worst that could happen.
Since he was still in the area, only backed up until the last was murdered, it was quite the sight to see this tiny mage in nothing but the started equips, what basically amounted to a stick on his back follow this red skulled murderer who just spent the last minute murdering everything she saw with nothing but a question. Which he then just sent over. "Excuse me I was just curious but was there a point to that?" Ehgaa asked standing not that far from the one in question, either two things were about to happen, either A, He was about to get killed just the same, not knowing that they'd get banned if they did. Or two the answer would be something along the lines of. 'I just wanted to.'
Either way, it was something to do, at least interesting.

The crowd of Dante's party was rather large, Timothy certainly wasn't expecting it. He was expecting a group of like two or something... Well this does make things rather easy. "Hey Dante, Judith, Wormmon, uhh... Other guy." It was nice to run into them again. They all seemed to want to get their professions up again, and seeing as MetalMagic, BirdInquisition, and SwissArmySword weren't having anything better to do, they all decided to follow and make sure everyone got what they needed. The group was particularly OP and well equipped for anything at the moment, including buying rarer materials.
MetalMagic was a gunsmith and miner, BirdInquisition was a forager and chef, and SwissArmySword was an armorer and hunter. So to speak, they had what they thought were their essentials covered a few weeks ago. It was one of the few things that the developers couldn't really take away at all. Though, of course they wanted more people to be able to hang out with, so the trio got to work on helping Dante and co. get themselves set up.
Bibi went on her way, casually gathering materials she could use to make a big payout, though whenever it sounded like anyone was needing help in her group, she'd race over and buy the thing they needed for them, like the axe (One of the highest quality in game) for Wormmon. "Here you are Wormmon, it's the cheap one." She would continue to do this and basically buy thing they needed off the auction house, then put up her supplies, normally incredibly high quality food that could turn over a huge profit.
Faluo spent his time standing guard in case some crazy high level decided to run in and try to kill them. He was pretty good and would easily be able to hold his own, especially with SwissArmySword's tank focus. It wasn't until a uhh... "XXXbloodyrists666XXX" approached them, red skull next to her name and all, that he actually had to do anything. Though instead, she just stood there for a while. "Uhh... So, what's going on crazy murderer lady? If you do anything, Imma kill you. Just letting you know that."
To top it off, some crazy low level approached the murderer player. Did that kid have some sort of death wish? Oh well, best to have your one stun ready Faluo, then get ready to self preserve and taunt in case someone goes ballistic.
Timothy = MetalMagic Bibi = BirdInquisiton Faluo = SwissArmySword

The group continues gathering resources and leveling up their life skills. Dante takes up blacksmithing, but there wasn't any high quality gear he could make at this stage. He would need to mine ore at later areas in the game to forge the good stuff. After Wormmon had asked, rather demanded, Dante to get him an ax, Bibi's character BirdInquisition gave him an ax from the town. "Oh, thank you Birdy!" Wormmon may have lacked the psychical strength of a much larger, melee combat oriented character, but his ferocity helped him harvest plenty of lumber. Plus his character had to haul that big laser cannon around before, so it wasn't too difficult to haul the wood back into town.
As Dante is in the fields harvesting wheat, XXXbloodyrists666XXX comes up to him and sends him a friend request. This was the same player that went on a rampage before, and now she sported a skull above her character, signaling to others that she was marked for killing players outside of designated zones. Dante didn't want to upset her, and risk suffering her wrath, so he accepts the friend request. Another player named Ehgaa came up to the high level. Very brave considering what Bloody did earlier in the town. "Hey there. We have played before, but not since the new updates. Hey Ehgaa, are you a new player? ...You're not going to attack us, are you bloodyrists? Do you two want to join our group?"
Meanwhile Judith and Shirou are gathering wool from sheep. After collecting plenty of wool, they return to town. Judith takes the wool up to the spinner to weave the wool into fabric. Shirou then takes the fabric and tailors it into cloth armor. He makes some gear for him and Judith, including a fur lined coat covering his shoulders, and fingerless wool gloves for Judith so she can still play her lute with the gloves on. Whatever they don't need they sell for a minor profit. Shirou's Tailoring skill levels up, and he unlocks new patterns. Judith's Gathering and Weaving skills go up as well. "This new gear is great. It is nice and warm." "It sounds like you are enjoying the game. Are you still going to get offline soon?" "I think I'll stick around for a while."
After a few easy quests and gathering missions, the group is ready for a tougher challenge. Dante and Judith go up to a young Elf woman crying on the side of the dirt road leading out of town. She is wearing robes, sitting next to a broken down carriage. "What's wrong? Are you alright?" The elf pulls her hands away from her face and looks up. "Oh, it was terrible! My fiancé and I were traveling into town to prepare for our wedding ceremony, but our carriage was attacked by bandits." Off course. Only someone as dastardly as bandits could have done this. Dante thinks back to the last time they encountered bandits in the game. "These bandits, what kind of symbol did they wear? Are they loyal to the Bandit King?" "No, I don't think so. They didn't look like the bandits that attacked our village before. They had these strange black and white markings on their gear."
Dante thinks for a moment. These didn't sound like the bandits from before. If Soulja Boi was still the Bandit King, then they could just go talk to him and get him to call off the attacks. But it sounds like these were bandits unaffiliated with the Bandit King. "Are you hurt? Where's your fiancé now?" "I am uninjured. It was terrible. He tried to protect me, but the bandits captured him. Their leader smacked me, then stole my ring. They rode off with my fiancé, my ring, and all of our money that was going towards our wedding." Judith comforts the woman, putting her arm around her. "Don't worry. We will get your man and your money back. Come on, Dante, we've got business to take care of."
Dante and Judith head back to the area outside of town to share the quest with other players. "Hey guys, we've got a big quest if you are interested. Bandits attacked a carriage, they captured someone and stole all their possessions. The only problem is it wasn't the main bandit organization, so I don't really know where their base is located." "Hmm, well even if it's not the bandits from before, we can still go talk to the Bandit King. Maybe he knows about the other bandits." "Sounds good. Let's go see the Bandit King. His base is in the area, west of here." Dante, Wormmon, Judith, and Shirou group up with as many players willing to join, and set off to speak with the Bandit King. ______________________________

They can however deactivate the screen on the helmet, so they can get up and move around in the real world while still logged in, they just can't do anything in game. At this time, the screen will be in a little box in the corner, so they can look around, but still see what's happening in the game.)

So far so good. It looked like XGoldxFoX99 had accepted Katsura's friend request. Now she had a chance to figure out who this Dante guy was and why he was so special. But first Katsura had to do some damage control after having Nyao going on a rampage in her name. "Excuse me I was just curious but was there a point to that?" "Sorry about that." "Uhh... So, what's going on crazy murderer lady? If you do anything, Imma kill you. Just letting you know that." "I'm done for now, wait do I know you?" "Hey there. We have played before, but not since the new updates. Hey Ehgaa, are you a new player? ...You're not going to attack us, are you bloodyrists? Do you two want to join our group?" "Sure, where are we going?" Katsura then took a minute to immense herself in the story; a couple of elves were about to get married but on their way they were ambushed by a pack of bandits and now it was apparently up to her and the group to stop them. Behind the screen Katsura shrugged, the story came off a little bit cheesy to her but whatever. "Okay guys, lead the way."

Well that was a basic answer for someone who just murdered a whole lot of people, while he did get his answer someone else came over, Goldfox plus a lot of x's came over, and ended up asking him if he wanted to come with, while the bloodyrists said they would Ehgaa thought about it for a few moments. "I mean, sure I suppose. I've got no idea what I'm doing anyway so." With that Ehgaa ended up joining that group, if this was a large mistake or an easy solution, well that was going to be said in about a few minutes with doing quests, though they just did some quests while Ehgaa got used to doing, pretty much anything. He managed to hit something with his staff so that was one step, he was sure the rest would just come to him naturally.
Apparently, two of them saw a quest with someone called the bandit king, either that or they were going to go talk to a bandit kind to find other bandits, that made sense, a bandit would probably know where other bandits are. "I'll go too, I mean if no one objects." Having a noob among people who seemed to know what they were doing seemed like a liability, but who knows maybe he could have a use if this game had puzzles he'd probably be a good help. Plus they did ask him to join so might as well just ride this to wherever it'll take him, good or bad.

Timothy crossed his arms as the quest came up. A bunch of bandits in trouble, and Dante wanted to go to this Bandit King guy or something to get information. Normally he and his crew didn't think many things out, buuut... Whatever, might be fun. "You guys lead the way, I don't know my way to any bandit king guy. Normally we just take out the bandits, go on our way, and continue working for money."
Bibi took to the front of the group. Well, as close to the front as she could without leading it. She wanted to make sure all the lower leveled people in the group were well covered from the front. She would lay down some holy fire on any who dare attack them, because that's what she did.
Faluo stuck to the back. He was essentially doing the same, covering the rear of the party. He had a sensor on his shoulder at the moment, making an occasional "Ping!" as they traveled. It was searching for anyone stealthing. A lot of gankers have recently been attacking players, so he's grown proficient in trying to hunt them.

Things in the game started going much more smoothly. It appears this bloodyrists player was not normally prone to murdering noobs. Everyone was getting along better now. After Dante shared the quest with the group, Ehgaa and bloody were happy to join. Timothy and the twins also decide to go with. SwissArmySword followed from the back of the group, scanning for stealthed players. Under Shirou's control, this would not be an issue, as new players need areas to level up before putting themselves at risk of PVP with stronger characters.
The group heads towards the Bandit King's base. Dante remembered the area well. They follow along a long windy road twisting and turning through the grassy knolls. Wormmon turns on auto follow and deactivates the headset. "Alright, time to load up on snacks!" Wormmon rushes over to the mini fridge and pulls out a tray of sugary pastries covered in sugar and chocolate sauce. "Oh yes... pink frosting, sprinkles..." Wormmon starts cramming the dessert into his mouth. "Nom nom, now for some soda to go with it."
Dante turns and sees Wormmon's magic user is still following right behind him. "Hurry up, we are almost there, buddy." "What are you talking about, brother?" "Oh, our mage Jiggly-lock is getting a snack." After chugging several tiny bottles of flavored soda, Wormmon takes a moment to catch his breath, before reentering the game. The group reaches a path leading up into the mountains. They see several small bandit patrols stationed around campfires in the area. "That's strange. Did they add more NPCs to fight?" "Wait, get a little closer and check their icons. Those aren't NPCs, they are other players."
"People just standing around in a game online instead of actually playing? That is so freaking stupid!" Dante looks over and sees a nearby group of bandits. There's a male Human Rogue wearing a blue bandana on his head, a larger orc-like barbarian with tanned leather gear, an Elven Healer type with long white and blue robes, and a short but stout female hunter wearing leather and furs. Dante nervously approaches the group to ask for an audience with the Bandit King. "Excuse me, I need to speak with the Bandit King." The rogue looks up from the campfire. "Eh? What are you talking about?" "The Bandit King is on my friend's list. I need to ask him about a different bandit organization that opposes him."
The Hunter gives Dante a disapproving look. "Get lost, you scrubs!" The healer speaks up. "Damn newbies." "Honestly, I was there when Soulja Boi became the Bandit King. Now what is the deal with all you players joining the bandits, and just standing around?" "Wow, you really are a noob!" The giant barbarian steps forward, displeased with his party. "What's the matter with you?! That's no way to talk to other players. This update was only added a few weeks ago." Dante nods at the barbarian. "At least one of you here isn't an ass hat." The rogue pulls a large dagger out of its sheath, and starts sharpening the blade with a slab of metal. "I say we gank this noob and everyone in their party." "That's fine by me."
The rogue, hunter, and healer draw their weapons and prepare to attack. Dante backs away towards the rest of the group. "Well that went well." "I don't see you helping." The hunter reaches to her quiver and grabs an arrow. She looks around at the group for an easy target, before deciding to fire at Ehgaa. "Oh my Goddess, look out!" Wormmon, err I mean Jiggly, goes to cast a spell, but the rogue dashes towards the mage and hits them with a blow to the side. The technique prevents Jiggly from casting magic for a moment. Dante goes to attack the rogue, but the bandit is too fast, and strikes Dante with a quick hit that takes down most of his health. Before the rogue can finish the job, Ladyluvcoffee plays her lute, trapping the rogue in place with one of her many songs in her vast moveset as a bard.
The healer summons a trio of reanimated skeletons wielding rusty swords and shields to attack on the right side close to BirdInquisition. The barbarian begrudgingly joins his allies against the group. Wielding a large spiked club, he sizes up XXXbloodyrists666XXX and starts stomping on the ground, sending a shockwave through the ground towards the group. Shirou quickly goes into healbot mode, casting a heal on Dante, and a low level buff on the party that increases resistance to physical damage. "This game isn't fun anymore. Not with players like this around."
