Well, this seemed to be about it, standing in front of his school clutching a piece of paper. While he was out of it for a while as if simply snapping back to reality led him to stare down at the piece of paper, old words of his teacher echoing in the back of his mind as he read it. "Make sure your parents see this." And "You have to show proper respect." Were the two most obvious ones.
"It's barely been a month, how am I supposed to learn that fast."
He muttered to himself placing his hands and the paper in his pockets as he started walking off the school grounds, backpack firmly placed on his back started moving slower side to side as Edgar slowed down, barely making it near the gate. With a small sigh and a worried mind at going home now, he stared at his feet wondering what he could do to pass the time until he got home, he had to hurry or his sister would catch him by the gate and ask herself, which also wasn't the best set of circumstances.
"Bad times if I stay and bad times if I hurry."
Giving a large sigh he opted to simply look around trying to find something to pass the time, strangely though he managed to actually find something he could do to pass the time, well not so much pass but something to investigate, while everyone was walking home his eyes were set on some, thing for lack of a better term near a tree. walking over to the strange thing he was greeted with a very, off looking creature laying on the ground near some, phone? He couldn't tell. His curiosity peaked Edgar slowly walked over closer getting a better look at this, odd creature. Its eyes were closed and arms at its side, curiously it didn't have a mouth it seemed nor fingers or feet? All it had on was a large red-cloaked, he also noticed the decide at its side reflected the colors.
"H-Hey, wake up."
Edgar asked his voice panicked as he shook the small creature, while he was scared and a bit worried about the strange creature he wasn't about to just let it sit there out in the open unconscious, that just wouldn't be right in his mind. He then had the thought of going and getting someone, a nurse, teacher, someone who had more knowledge then him and could possibly help. Just as he had that thought though something rang in his head, a voice? thought it felt to sudden to be his own thought.
"I'm fine."
The voice said suddenly as the creature slowly opened his eyes, the grass nearby moving as the little thing slowly hopped off the ground for a few seconds before steadying themselves upright. Though it didn't land on the ground instead opting to float a few inches above the ground, feet not even touching the grass.
"Hello nice to meet you, I'm Artimon."
It was at this moment Edgar slowly stood back up, his eyes wide and he turned around and started walking away from the small creature, at a bit of a brisk pace.
"Huh, where are we going friend, wait I need a human come back."
The small creature asked in his head before picking up the device in his stubby arms before flying at the kid.
"Wait, come on slow down. I said wait, please."
Instead of waiting the kid decided the better option would be to walk faster, luckily the small creature trailing behind was smarter while following made sure to do so out of sight, opting to fly upward onto a building before trailing behind holding onto the device tightly while flying.
