"Ugh! Hurry up already!" Birdie hollered as she flapped her wings and flew in place, her eyes narrowed angrily into slits as she watched Unica struggle to keep up. It was obvious she had no patience, especially for her own human who could be seen stumbling up the dirt path, panting a little as she attempted to catch up with her Digimon.
"I can't!" Unica rebutted with a frown plastered over her face. She stopped then, in the middle of the road and began to sit down. Sweat dripped off her brows and trailed down her face where they condensed on her chin and fell to the ground below. Just as she was about to rest, Birdie was behind her, pressing her feathered head against Unica's back and forcing the young girl to stand up. "But Birdie!" Unica complained, her bottom lip quivering when she wasn't allowed to have her way.
"Just quit whining, already. There's a place up ahead where we can stop and rest," Birdie explained, flying ahead a little ways before glancing back to make sure that her human was following. Without complaint, but with her bottom lip still puffed outward, Unica followed her Digimon.
Eventually, the two came across an Inn that was located just off the road. After double checking that Unica was still following - although she walking slowly and was some twenty yards off - Birdie entered the establishment and took a look around. There was a group of Chuumon sitting around one of the tables, laughing and being generally obnoxious; there was a Psychemon sitting at the bar, carrying on a conversation with a Gabumon; then there was a Butterflymon at the other side of the bar, simply minding his own business. Behind the bar counter was a Renamon, the bar owner. "Hey, bar-keep," Birdie said as she flew over to the bar and plopping down on one of the stools, "You got any rooms available?"

It was certainly a busy day, K had gotten more business than she usually did and she had to say that she didn't mind it. The first to arrive were a group of Chuumon's, they had been generally pleasant to her being the owner and what not. All they seemed to want were drinks and food, in which of course they paid for immediately. Chuumon never wanted to owe anyone anything after all.
The next group was a pair of digimon, though they had come in staggered at first. The psychemon arriving before the Gabumon but they seemed to know one another with how they were talking. Wasn't a surprise since they looked like they were family. Though the renamon could be wrong about that.
The last person to come in for the day so far was a Butterflymon, they had ordered some food curtly and then proceeded to just sit by themselves. Wether or not they were waiting for something was their business not hers. She just had to make sure any mess that was made was cleaned and the customers of course would keep their messes in their areas. Else she'd be forced to remove them.
However when a Piyomon entered followed practically immediately by a human K had to pause. This was the second human to enter her inn within the last few months; which was a bit of surprise. Was her inn going to see an influx of humans after that first initial one or perhaps there was something else at work here? She didn't know or care, but she would never turn down a customer. When the Piyomon spoke to her she dipped her head in a nod.
"Yes we have quite a few rooms available. Three different tiers of rooms, 100, 200 and 1000 bits respectively. Per night mind you."

Birdie didn't notice when her human walked in and she didn't really care. If Unica got in trouble, the Digivice on her would activate and Birdie would be alerted that something was wrong. It was nothing for her to worry about right now. One problem at a time.
When the Renamon said that she had three types of rooms available and proceeded to explain the prices, Birdie reacted by waving a wing back and forth in the air dismissively. "Yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever," she said, purposefully interrupting the owner. "We're not looking for anything fancy. As long as it's got a bed," she clarified, glancing over at Unica who was now struggling to get up on the stool beside her. "Humans, am I right?" Birdie huffed, looking back at the Renamon, not really expecting the Digimon to answer her rhetorical question. "100 bits, was it?" Birdie asked, cocking an eyebrow as if questioning the price, though she didn't say anything more about it.
Once Unica had managed to get on the stool, she spread her arms out on the cool counter and exhaled loudly. "I'm tired," she whimpered, half under her breath. As the transaction of money occurred between the two Digimon, Unica glanced around the Inn and noticed most of the patrons staring at her. Feeling paranoid suddenly, Unica withdrew her arms from the counter and leaned closer to her partner. "I don't like this place," she mumbled.
Birdie looked over at her human then around the Inn. Upon making eye contact with the other Digimon, most of them looked away hurriedly, obviously sensing her temperament and not wanting to start a fight, though some of them continued to stare. It didn't matter. Birdie had confidence that she'd be able to take on anyone in this place if they decided to try anything funny. However, in an attempt to calm her human's nerves, Birdie turned her attention back to Renamon and asked, "Is this going to be a problem?"

K flicked her ears and tilted her head a bit as the piyomon interrupted her. She was used to this sort of thing in general, people were either tired or snippy after long travels. It didn't really bother her too much to be honest. She'd shrug a little bit and lean on the counter scratching at one ear.
"Fair enough. All the rooms have beds and bathing areas so I think you'll be good there."
She'd frown slightly however when she noticed that Unica was struggling to get on the stool. Honestly she should of thought about making the stools accessible for all sizes, but most smaller digimon usually took the tables. This was the first human that she had seen that was this size as well. She bob her head in a nod at the query about pricing.
"That is the price yes."
The transaction was quick, to the point and K found herself frowning a little bit when she heard the human say something under her breath. In fact two things, it took her a moment to realize that the patrons were staring. It irritated her something fierce that many a digimon didn't like humans; she understood their nervousness or their outright dislike. Or worry even. But she didn't like it when people made her inn an unwelcoming place to anyone. Her eyes flashed dangerously and she set two hands firmly on the bar-top. At the Piyomon's query she'd shake her head.
"No. It's not a problem. And if it becomes a problem I'll forcibly eject those that made it a problem. My inn is a place where weary lay to rest. Nothing more nothing less.
She'd give the digimon that were giving the human strange looks a withering glare; if they wanted to cause trouble she had three rookies and a champion in the kitchen. While she knew canton didn't like fighting anymore, who would dispute with a leomon? Even if they were missing an arm.

Birdie nodded in response to the Renamon's comment about forcibly ejecting anyone who would cause a problem in her inn. She concluded by stating that her inn was a place for tired individuals to rest, not a place for fights or causing havoc. This both relieved and infuriated Birdie. It was good that her human and herself would not be bothered as they rested for the night, but no Digimon was so high and mighty as to believe that they could live life without some kind of drama - or so Birdie grew up believing. Those who always looked on the bright side irritated her on some deep level, but she wasn't about to pick a fight with someone who was providing her a place to sleep, so she kept her thoughts to herself.
"You hear that?" Birdie asked, elbowing her human. Unica continued cautiously looking around the inn, but was suddenly startled when her Digimon touched her. The little girl looked between Birdie and the Renamon with wide eyes, clearly uneasy with the atmosphere in this location. She gave a little nod even though she hadn't actually been listening, fearing how her partner would react if she admitted that she hadn't been paying attention. "Alright, good," Birdie said. She fluttered her wings and turned her attention back to Renamon before saying, "You've got food, right?"
"Oh! I'm hungry!" Unica chimed suddenly, lifting herself off the stool and leaning over the counter a little. "Pizza!" she demanded, suddenly full of energy that she had been lacking only moments prior.
"Sit down," Birdie snapped, shooting a nasty look at her Tamer. Unica reciprocated the glare, but pouted as well. She sat back on her seat, crossed her arms over her chest, and stuck out her tongue. Birdie watched Unica act out, but didn't comment on the immature behavior. Instead, she glanced back at the owner and asked, "What food do you serve here?"

K could tell that her statement along with the physical partner that the human had made the other digimon in her inn understand what they'd be forfeiting if they caused trouble. She'd raise her brows slightly and lean forward, rubbing one of her ears eyeing both the human and her partner no doubt.
"We do yes-"
She'd blink owlishly however when Unica lifted herself off of the stool and leaned over the counter a bit. Demanding pizza almost immediately. That was something they had, and it wouldn't take too long to make. Though canton couldn't make it himself but one of the other chefs could make one quickly. Letting out a soft chuckle she'd lean and pull out a pair of electronic menus. Sliding them over to the pair of them.
"A little of everything, I've got three chefs and each of them have their own specialty so our variety isn't lacking. Depends on what you want really. We do have pizza, might just take a little bit."
She'd shift slightly and tap one of the electronic menu, bringing up it's interface. There was a long list of items there, each one of them covering a different sort of food. There was even a section for drinks and deserts, completely separate from the meals.
"Most of our items sits to the 10-50 bit range as well. So your wallet can breathe easy."

Unica's reaction to receiving a digital menu was nothing short of excitement. Her expression rapidly changed from one of pouting to one of eagerness. She bounced a little in her seat as the Renamon tapped on her menu and brought up an interactive interface, a wide grin spreading over her face and causing her cheeks to redden slightly from the strain. The anthropomorphic fox explained the menu and how it functioned, being sure to mention that her chefs could serve pizza if that's what they desired. As soon as the Digimon withdrew her gloved paw, Unica began touching the screen and watching as the icons shifted and morphed, giggling whenever the menu changed color or made a confirming or error sound.
Birdie, on the other had, was silent in her admiration for the bar's menu. Perhaps this out-in-the-middle-of-the-woods Inn wasn't as shabby as she had previous thought. She watched their host interact with Unica's menu only long enough to get the gist. Once she understood what sort of foods the place served, she looked down at her own menu and tapped one of the options with her red claws, causing a display of a burger to appear alongside a description of how it would be prepared, a list of ingredients, and a price. As if on cue, the Renamon commented on the pricing, explaining that most meals ranged between ten and fifty bits. Birdie glanced up from the menu to make eye contact as the owner spoke, keeping her manners in check while she was around polite company. With a quiet "Hmm" and a nod, Birdie looked back at her menu.
After some time - and some bickering between the partners - Birdie and Unica had finally come to a decision about what they wanted. Birdie motioned for Renamon and only began naming their order when the bar owner had her full attention on them. "We're gonna get the salad burger, a small cheese pizza-," a soft moan could be heard coming from the young human, "and two waters," Birdie concluded.

K couldn't help but get a small smile as the young human seemed to enjoy playing with the menu. It wasn't exactly complicated, and really all it did was make it easier to order things to her. They were still waiting for the little terminal which would tell those in back what people were ordering from which table and such. But she wasn't holding her breath. Packages in the digital world could take a long time to get places after all.
K tilted her head slightly as the piyomon looked at her, they were being oddly quiet while she was explaining things out. She was more used to people interuptting her but at the same time everyone was different. She'd leave the two be while they were picking out what they wanted.
Sure there was bickering and she had to refil a few drinks of the other patrons of the bar. But by the time they were ready to order she was already behind the countertop, the motion of course grabbed her attention easily and she'd come over quickly. She'd dip her head a bit in a nod.
"All right, should be about fifteen or so minutes."
K gave the both of them a small smile and trotted to the side of the bar, where a door that led back to the kitchen was. She had come in and out of it a few times already in order to give the others their drinks and what not. She'd tell the cooks what they were to make rather quickly before coming back with the drinks in hand. She'd set them down on the bar and give the both of them a small smile.
"If you don't mind me asking, where you headed?"

Now that strange creatures weren't eying her wearily, Unica was content and happy. She was finally allowed to rest, she got to meet a nice fox lady, and now she had something to drink. Carefully, she reached out and grabbed hold of the water once the Renamon delivered it to. She wobbled her legs back and forth unconsciously and took a few large gulps of the beverage before letting out a loud, "Aaah~" with a smack of her lips. There wasn't anything particularly delicious about this given drink, but it was refreshing nevertheless and her exasperation made her appreciation known.
As Unica enjoyed her drink, the Renamon asked where the two of them were going. Actually, to be more accurate, she prefaced her question with a disclaimer, stating that her question was only valid if Birdie and Unica didn't mind her asking it, and Birdie did mind. In fact, she minded so much that she opened her beak to tell the bar owner to mind her own business, but the rookie's partner was far more energetic and far more quick to respond, cutting Birdie off before she even had a real chance to tell the Renamon off. "Dinosaur Human!" the young girl practically hollered, her body bouncing a little more ferociously as her legs swung at a faster pace.
"Dinohumon," Birdie translated, rolling her eyes slightly and resting her gaze on Unica who appeared pleased with herself. "The Training Grounds," the small pink Digimon went on to explain, "I wanna get stronger so I can protect her." This was a lie. Birdie didn't have any immediate desire to protect Unica; her only desire was to become a powerful Digimon who would be feared by the masses. Her plan was to go to the Spartan Training Grounds so that she could put her skills to the test, nothing more and nothing less. In hindsight, it was a two-fold situation. By becoming stronger, Birdie was getting closer to accomplishing her goal, but she was also growing capable of protecting Unica - a human who had the secret to immediate digivolving in her pocket. She would be a valuable asset in Birdie's quest to become all powerful, but she was not needed.
However, Birdie couldn't very well tell Unica that she wasn't important. She couldn't say that she didn't want to be burdened by a small child. After all, doing so would most certainly lead to Unica crying out in her obnoxious way, ditching her Digivice somewhere and ensuring Birdie could never digivolve instantaneously, and going back to the human world. While it was true that Birdie had managed to reach her rookie rank by herself and had faith she could reach her adult or champion level by herself as well, Unica and her device promised enhanced abilities... abilities that Birdie wanted. So instead of admitting the truth about her using Unica and not caring for the child's well-being, she decided to lie by saying that she wanted to get stronger so she could protect the young girl.
"Birdie's my guardian angel," Unica said with a giggle, returning to her drink and taking another large gulp.
For a long moment, Birdie stared at the Renamon while not saying anything more on the matter. It was as if she was trying to get a read on what the bartender was thinking. All the Renamon Birdie had ever met tended to be stoic in their body language, which made gauging their emotions difficult to do. This one seemed a bit more expressive in the sense that she smacked her hands on the counter when frustrated and was seen glaring and smiling at customers accordingly. After a moment of exchanging looks, Birdie asked, "Why an Inn? You could have done anything. Built anything. So why build an Inn in the middle of a forest?"

While K had to admit that the reaction was a little surprising when drinking water it did her heart good to see that there was a level of comfort here that wasn't earlier. The renamon could tell that there was a layer of frustration from the bird, but she couldn't exactly put her finger on it. It was all right, it likely was just the partner and the situation they were in. Though her question was meant as just a way to get some conversation going while they were waiting for their food. That way they wouldn't be focusing on the hunger. The human was quick to respond, and the bird digimon clarified.
"Ah. A good reason can't really blame you there. Haven't been to any training grounds in quite some time myself."
While it was more truth than anything, K indeed hadn't been to any training grounds since back before the end of some war between virus and vaccine digimon. If you asked any of the denizens around here they'd likely ask "what war" or something along those lines. But no one here, not even herself really knew how long it had been.
Then there was the follow up statement from the human, saying that "Birdie" is her guardian angel. Which the renamon found a little strange but at the same time? Coming from one so young it sounded very honest; almost disarmingly so. She didn't really know how to respond to that. She'd rub the side of her muzzle and spare a small smile.
K could tell that Birdie was staring at her, for what reasons she didn't really know. But that smile didn't go away nor did it even waiver when she returned the gaze. She was comfortable here, she liked it here. But there was that underlying sense that she wasn't quite done with the world yet. She'd flick an ear and tap the bartop thoughtfully.
"Because an Inn is comfortable, it helps people get to where they're going. This was the same spot that my tent was in back when the war was still going on. So it has a little value to remind me where I was, where I'm going and how I'm going about it. I've done much in my life as is, and I don't think it's going to stop midway here."
She'd run her hand along the bar top affectionately before letting out a soft sigh.
"I can still do anything, build anything. My data isn't that old that I'll keel over in the next year or so."

There it was again. That optimistic, happy-go-lucky, everything-is-fine attitude that irritated Birdie so much. Renamon built the Inn because it was comfortable? She built it to help wandering strangers? It was sickening. Digimon were combative by nature, so who did this Renamon think she was? Some mighty savor of the people? Birdie scoffed and shook her head a little at the thought, but then she heard mention of a war. Her head snapped back to their host as she listened to the owner recount her time in the war.
As it turned out, the Renamon had been involved in some sort of cosmic battle and this Inn was located where she had spent most of her time, surviving and sleeping in nothing more than a tent. This was all very fascinating to Birdie, a young Digimon who had never been involved in a war but had a deep-seated desire to be. Wars were how high level Digimon staked their claim and how many ended up in positions of power and leadership. That's what Birdie wanted. Although she had no idea about the war that had occurred at this specific location, her eyes still glistened at the prospect of battle.
Birdie allowed the Innkeep to run her hands over the bar counter, but interrupted before she had a chance to make a defensive statement about an early death. "Tell me about the war. The one that happened here." She wasn't demanding, she was pleading. Her morbid curiosity revealed itself in a childlike way; her eyes were wide in wonderment and the feathers on her body rose a little in anticipation to hear about all the details.
Unica, however, had no interest in talks of war or battles. She just wanted her pizza. As Birdie continue gushing to the fox lady, Unica let go of her menu - the one which she had been permitted to temporarily play with since it kept her attention - and slowly climbed off the stool. No one seemed to notice immediately, which allowed her to slip out of sight and beside the bar where she made her way to the back room that she had seen the owner walk into previously.

K watched birdie and the human a quite passive expresion on her face. She flicked her ears a little bit as she could hear the chefs in the back go about making the food that had been ordered not even a bit ago. It sounded like they were midway through the burger nad the pizza was likely almost done. She'd rub her muzzle and note the perk up of the digimon.
Oh lord was this another one that she'd have to explain that to? She wasn't sure where she'd even begin really. She found her expression turning dour for a second before she forced a small smile on it.
The memories weren't all good, in fact there were quite a few that were bad. She didn't partake in all of the fighting but there was a good majority of it that she did. Up until they had learned of her ability to heal people. And then there it was. The question. Well more an plead to share; she could share about what happened here what? Like ten or so years ago? Maybe longer. She'd shrug and lean on the counter a bit.
"Not much to really tell. Holy digimon fighting against some Unholy ones, it was fairly large scale. A lot of fighting and a lot of digimon were digitized. The lines remained rather constant, which let us set up a good locale here. Pretty much was switching out the injured for those that had the ability to assist in the fight."
She'd shake her head, lacking the ability to keep track of everyone. So Unica could easily go into the back without trouble. Though Canton and the cooks were the ones actually back there, the former of which perking up as the door opened. The leomon looked surprised to see a human and he'd chuckle softly before addressing them.
"Not much to see back here I'm afraid little one, Are you the one that ordered the burger?"
K leaned on the counter and her expression grew thoughtful.
"I know in the end we ended up losing, I don't know what happened exactly but I suppose they had more firepower elsewhere that was held up or something. But luminas is still around so I suppose they all didn't get wiped out. This used to be a clearing you know, a few busted trees and a mess of tents."

Even if Birdie hadn't been able to read the Renamon's expression up until this point, she did notice the hesitation and shift in expression when she had asked for details about the war. It was a brief flicker of displeasure and horror before it settled again on a pleasant smile, though it seemed a bit forced this time around. It was clear that the anthropomorphic fox didn't want to talk about such a dreary subject, but she was one of those people-pleasers who would sooner do as a customer asked than spare her own feelings. Regardless of her reluctance, the Renamon went on to explain the war. She said that there wasn't much to talk about, but promptly went into detail about the conflicting sides, how much death and destruction was involved, and what role she played.
"Fascinating," Birdie gasped in awe. She didn't seem to derive pleasure from the Renamon's poor memories and the idea of pure chaos, but she did seem to have a sickening curiosity for it. "I'm sorry for your loses," she ended up saying, simply because that seemed like an appropriate thing to reply with. However, her words were shallow and little empathy was found in her voice. Even still, she said it in hopes that the Renamon would continue speaking. Fortunately for Birdie, she did.
Apparently, Renamon and her fellow soldiers had lost the war, but things were on the up-and-up since then. Luminas - the city of Holy Digimon - was still around, standing strong and prominent even after taking such heavy casualties. Apparently the location of the Inn used to be a clearing, covered in rubble and virtually unsalvageable. Even still, the Renamon had worked diligently to turn the destroyed area into something welcoming and friendly. It was an honorable feat and Birdie admitted as much. "It's hard to imagine this place used to be a warzone," Birdie huffed with a gentle smirk. "You must have worked night and day to get this place up and running."
As conversations of bloodshed and war continued outside in the bar, Unica had managed to make her way into the back room where the sound of sizzling meats, bubbling liquids, and conversations could be heard. The smell was amazing, a flood a different flavors and scents that made her mouth water. And, of course, she immediately recognized the smell of a cheese pizza. As Unica let the door close shut behind her, she heard a voice. It was deep and threatening, but upon seeing the half-clothed lion, the voice no longer seemed as intimidating.
Unica giggled when the chef called her a "little one" and shook her head when he asked if she was the one who ordered the burger. It was true, she wasn't the one who ordered the burger and she hadn't thought the question through enough to clarify that it was her partner who ordered the meal in question. "Noo," Unica giggled, as if the idea of her having ordered a burger was a foolish notion, "Pizza!" she called out instead. Curious, the young girl walked toward the large Digimon and stood on the tips of her toes as she tried to look onto the counter to see what he was making. She placed her hands on the edge of the counter and tried to use this leverage to peer over, but it was no use. When she decided that she was too small, she flattened her feet on the ground, cocked her head, and looked up at the tall lion. "What're you doing?" she wondered aloud.

Birdie seemed rather taken in by the details that K was giving. Then there was the small gasp, along with the apology. She'd shake her head and give a small smile. There was nothing really to apologize about; it had happened quite some time ago and she had to admit that.. Well. She was well enough over it that she could let go.
"No apology needed, They died fighting for what they believed in. That should be enough."
She'd give a small shrug and lean on the bar-top. She had actually managed to find which tent had been hers when she came back to this locale. It was the only one that was practically untouched. The flaps were ripped off sure, but everything else was left alone. The mess inside was something she was used to anyways, because of her tent-mate's messy disposition.
"Took quite a bit of cleaning, but Canton and a few of my chefs were here with me by that point. It was the trees mostly that took the longest to come back, this whole area was practically clear of them."
It was painful and hard work that. But she had to admit she did love how the forest ended up coming back in full eventually...
While in the kitchen canton tilted his head ever so slightly when the youth said that she wasn't the one to order the burger. He'd chuckle at her answer and dip his head in a nod.
"Good choice either way hah."
He'd turn and use his one arm to dust off the onion residue that were coating his hands on his apron before turning slightly. Giving the youth a small grin before crouching down, holding one of the onions to show what he was doing.
"Cutting onions, some of the other patrons ordered another round of burgers with a-lot of onions on them. So I'm the one cutting them up while the others get your orders ready. My name is Canton, what's yours?"

The tall lion leaned down with his arm outstretched. In the middle of his paw sat an onion, its yellow and brown layers peeling back to reveal its white, moist innards. Curious about the bulbous object in front of her, Unica extended an arm and grabbed hold of the onion. Of course she knew what onions were, but she couldn't remember ever seeing one in person before. Her mother took issue with the fact that it made her cry whenever she cut into them and tried to cook them, and her father didn't seem to have a preference for or against them in any situation. For these reasons, and perhaps for these reasons alone, Unica was unfamiliar with onions, especially in their most raw state.
As the Digimon explained that one of the patrons had ordered a round of burgers with an extra helping of onions, Unica peeled back one of the onion's layers and dropped the rough outer shell onto the floor dismissively with her eyes remaining locked on the glistening inner layer. She rose it to her face - her eyes shifting to look up at the lion as she did - and took a whiff. Her face changed in a flash, her calm and curious disposition falling away and being replaced with a furrowed brow and a scrunched nose. "Ah!" the young girl exclaimed in surprise, holding the onion out for the lion to take it back. She didn't say whether or not she liked the smell or not, but her puckered expression and watery eyes certainly gave off the impression that she wasn't a fan.
After recovering from that ordeal, the standing lion introduced himself as Canton. "Hello," Unica said, a smile creeping over her face as she told herself that his name would be easy to remember. "I'm Unica," she added once he asked for her name in return, "I'm seven! How much are you?" She wouldn't keep Canton from doing his job, but she did plan on keeping him company and talking to him until her pizza was ready.
In that moment, Birdie glanced over at where Unica had been sitting beside her at the bar and realized that her human was no longer around. "Unica?" she said, just loud enough for the nearby Digimon to overhear. When her Tamer didn't respond, panic quickly began setting in and Birdie looked around the room in a hurry. Unica wasn't with the Butterflymon, the Psychemon, or the Gabumon. Perhaps it was due to her stereotyping the Chuumon as deviants or perhaps it was because there were so many of them and she couldn't tell if Unica was hiding under their table or sitting with them, but regardless of the reason, Birdie jumped up from her stool and flew over to their table, hovering above the Chuumon as she scoured their group. A few of them pointed and laughed at her without any real reason to other than to be obnoxious, which only heightened Birdie's anxiety.
"Shut up, punks!" she snapped, but they didn't silence. If anything, they seemed to laugh even more. They were having a good time and being insulted by some random Biyomon wasn't about to kill the mood. In response to their behavior, Birdie landed in the middle of their table - causing glasses and plates to rattle from the force - and spread her wings out wide in a threatening manner. Purple markings in the shape of eyes could be seen on the underside of her wings, a marker that helped identify Birdie from others of her species. This made the Chuumon get quiet and caused some of them looked over at the Innkeeper in a silent plea for assistance. As the rodent Digimon stopped mocking her, Birdie folded her wings back against her body and looked around the table in search for Unica. Unfortunately, the small girl was no where to be found.
