Rinji was still trying to reach Amy when he heard the howl. Had Escamon hurt her? But all he saw next was a purple pulse of energy surge towards him. He yelped and closed his eyes, but when he opened them, the forest was gone. Everywhere was barren, endless wasteland. The earth was black and charred and the sky was grey. This didn't seem right.
A chilling wind whipped through the wasteland. Suddenly, a Nyaromon appeared from the ashes and looked at Rinji in the eyes with a seething hatred. "I hate you," she muttered, before disintegrating back into dust. She appeared behind him again. "How pathetic, you're a waste of space," she said again, and disintegrated again before Rinji could say a word.
And she did this, again and again. Always something that made his heart break a little bit more - and he could never get a single word in before she turned back to ash again. He looked down at the ground, tears brimming in his eyes as he tried to ignore the taunts.
"Chicken, chicken! You can't even handle an insult," she taunted him again - disintegrating into another pile of ash. Suddenly, a small spark of anger stirred inside him, and he heard a voice.
Weak. You're weak. Become strong. Crush her.
Without a thought, his eyes narrowed and he hissed at the illusion. He pounced onto the Nyaromon, crushing her with his jaws. Her shredded data was blown to the wind. He growled, and the forest came back. Everything appeared to be normal again, except Rinji was staring at Siftermon intensely. She had been the source of his attention earlier, and she was definitely still the source of it now. He almost couldn't see Escamon. The digimon was irrelevant, for all he cared.
His body suddenly coursed with electricity and he lunged at Siftermon, simultaneously trying to bite onto anything he could grab a hold of and trying to stab the digimon with his tail. He completely ignored Escamon, unable to comprehend what the digimon was even doing there.
Used Singeing Shock alongside a normal bite to make it more interesting.

Siftermon itself wasn't faring all that better in this situation. Her energy was pretty much spent, and her crumbling form. Amelie's inexperience combined with a spirit forcibly taking over her body and not being really conscious of its actions had decidedly taken its toll on her body. To say she was at the brink of collapsing was an understatement, and it took something as simple as Rinji's bite for the digimon to just... crumple in a heap in the floor.
Its form was flickering in an out, and the fact that it was about to devolve was evident. Buuut, did any of the fighters care about that? Probably not. Right now, the abomination was just laying there, defeated and at the mercy of her opponents.
What would they do? There was no way for it to know, and it wasn't it would be aware anyway. Right now, not devolving was proving to be an arduous task? Maintaining consciousness? Pretty much impossible. Yup. Not doing anything.

What...? What was that...? He was... He was busy right now. His job... He was supposed to destroy. He knew that, now, but this... gnat was bothering him...? Why? He was just doing his job. He couldn't... He wouldn't stop, he would destroy everything. Wasn't that the point? And this insect was getting in his way? Why? Maybe... Maybe he will destroy everyone as well, he had no recollection of doing such a thing before, but maybe this was just one of those things that couldn't be helped...? His train of thought was stumped, for a moment or two, but he decided his next course of action swiftly.
"I will start with you." He said, again hearing a metallic groan instead of words, coming from himself, but regardless, he stopped his aimless smashing to rear back his left arm, driving the piston out of his elbow, before he aimed a punch towards Rinji, aiming to crush this bug into the ground. Machinery is... Construction or deconstruction. He was the latter, always has been and... He couldn't be anything else... it just wasn't possible. But even so... What was that... nagging in his head. It sounded familiar, someone he knew...? Who was it? It couldn't be this insect, so who else was there?
Ability Used: Piston Punch (Fires quick, piston-powered jab at opponent with left arm, cooldown: 1 post)
Cool-downs:Pillar Pound (takes in a sizable chunk of solid material into crusher arm, compressing it into a pillar-shape, before firing it, or wielding it like a broad weapon, varying levels of durability based on material.)
Cool-down: 2/3
Illusion: 2/2

Rinji was writhing almost uncontrollably as he held his grip on Siftermon, until something hard impacted the edge of his carapace, flipping him up and out of the fight like a tossed coin. He wasn't in the right state of mind to appreciate it, but his unpredictable movements had just saved him a lot of pain.
Yet anger and pain were the last things Rinji felt when he was sent tumbling into the dirt. The taste of dust and tiny stones filled his mouth. "Hurnggg..." He growled, trying to shake out the foreign taste in his mouth. Then he turned around almost immediately, a wild look still in his eyes. Someone was going to pay.
His body tensed again, ready to lunge straight back into the fight. Suddenly, a wave of pain hit him in the head. But nothing had actually hit him? He looked around madly, searching for a target. Only the two strange intruder digimon were still there. He struggled against himself... control... he had to get back... in control...
Power... he needed more power. He focused on Escamon, Siftermon having moved into the back of his mind. It was time... to attack. "Scarlet... Rain..." Whispered the Scolomon, his voice low and devoid of its previous passion. Red pin-pricks littered the air again as they scattered themselves all over Escamon's position. Little to no regard had been given to Siftermon, who was still lying - seemingly helpless - on the ground.
But anyone watching the Scolomon closely might've seen the shred of worry start to enter his eyes, as they flicked over to Siftermon again.
"Stoooop..." He groaned, whether it was to himself or to Escamon was difficult to determine. His speech was slightly slurred, as if he'd just woken up from a deep sleep.

In the end, however, Siftermon couldn't maintain her form anymore. Slowly, the fractal code that had formed the digimon began to unravel, revealing the teenager that had began all this madness in a sense.
She was alive, even if completely unconscious and at the mercy of the two digimons. Guess that, luckily for her, the effect of the maddening haze released by her previous spirit form would end, and they would come back to their senses.
Still, what would they do? It was obvious that no matter the reason of her evolution, she had been a dangerous individual and there was no better evidence of that than the damage sustained by the clearing as a whole. The grim reminders of the fight that had transpired moments ago were clear, even if a relative calm was beginning to permeate the Woods once again.
How long would it last? That was the question. [Exit Thread] You can continue the thread until you've reached your own conclusion, but Amy's probs not waking up for a whiiiiiiile.

This ground would be good. Right. The ground was just a tool, he could use it as he pleased. With that thought, Escamon gripped the now crumbling Pillar he had created, hefting it towards the thing that interfered with his purpose. He paused, Wait. he had created this thing. He could... build things? That... didn't make sense. As he paused, a voice echoed through his head, "Hey, hello? Come on, say something. Stop... punching things!" The voice was shockingly familiar, and with that, Escamon realized, that wasn't reality, what was happening now, that was reality. He was in the forest again, with a human in his head, he was fighting a digimon, but it wasn't this bug type digimon.
Where'd the target go? Well, it looks like the girl was safe, at least, but the more pressing matter lay in the hail of laser beams heading his way. He held up the compressed chunks of remaining earth, in defense, but was inevitably blasted back from the potent beam attack. He landed, hard on the ground, staring into the sky. "Objective... complete, right?" He asked, not trying to move that much, and Chaze responded, "I think so. The girl's safe, right? And that bug guy should snap out of it, too." Chaze reasoned, before Escamon released a last sputtering puff of smoke, "Oh, good. I can't move." He sighed, in relief, before fractal code surrounded him, reverting the being to human shape.
Chaze sat up, rubbing his arms, and holding his arms tight to his stomach, "ooh, ow. Ow ow ow..." He muttered, sitting up. As a human, he shouldn't register as a threat to Rinji, and the illusion seemed to fade for Escamon relatively quickly, so he should return to his senses, soon. Escamon seemed to be in ragged shape, Chaze couldn't feel the spirit's presence that strongly, and he remained quite silent, either he was sleeping or resting, he would have to ask him some questions later, to allow his partner a break after that whole ordeal.

Watching his attack rain down on Escamon and the now human Amy was the only thing he could do. Currently, his head was pounding and his back was bleeding. "A-Amy..." Was she still alive? Would she be okay? He barely had the energy to shout, let alone come rushing to her aid.
Instead, he dragged himself back to the two humans. The other digimon... he was a human again? Was everyone a Spirit User here?
No! That didn't matter. The other human was fine: sat up and breathing. But Amelie was still lying motionless. "No.... Amy!" She had to be alive! She had to be! She couldn't just...
The centipede rushed to her side, ignoring the other human. Gently, Rinji nuzzled her arm with his nose, tears brimming in his eyes.
She was still warm.
And then he started crying his eyes out. "I... I thought..." He sniffled, too overwhelmed to even finish what he was saying. Apparently, he was too overwhelmed to even remember that the other human was probably watching him throughout the entire ordeal. Or that five minutes ago, Amelie was trying to kill them both.
Then his eyes widened as he saw a bite mark on her arm. "I-I'm so sorry..." He started crying again, finally realising what he'd done. "I-I can f-f-f-fix this..."
He tried to gently lift the girl off from the floor onto his back. At least, the parts of his back that weren't still bleeding. He could still help her... somehow. Even if, he realised, he was still slightly afraid of her.
{PS we kind of need to finish the thread with Rinji taking Amelie off to help her (uhh it's kind of awkward since it leads onto another thread we already made.) If you want to write a paragraph helping him or something else then go right ahead ^.^ Otherwise I'll exit here.}
