"I calmed down really, I found my center, made some deals. Lost some of myself, made more of myself. It came and went something fierce. I was scared understandably. Tacked on to a man that I barely knew."
Shattermon sighed softly and shook it's head slowly; musing over what it had said a bit before. Kan looked somewhat pleased about how Alexa was taking the information; he'd nod a bit and turn the computer over, looking along the pieces he hadn't gotten to and giving Alexa a small smile.
"It is, and they don't. Usually they have their own maintenance crews and what not. But if they're overburdened they'll come by me. It took a lot of work to get their trust I assure you."
He'd share a sigh with silvermon, the latter of which moved so that it was laying down properly. Obviously content to the conversation that it had with the other digimon.
"It's complicated I guess, and no. I barely got a look at their face much what they were wearing. Looked tired as hell. I doubt he found another, but it's possible he just didn't want to deal with the stress. He must be somewhere near adult now though; since it was a kid."
He'd shrug and then consider something briefly; she could be right on the digital world tools but.. A the same time would that work?
"hadn't considered that, if anything they might not be able to deal with it in any fashion... I'd have to check, now you've got me curious!"
He'd admit quickly; he was fairly certain that nothing in the digital world could break into it, but it wouldn't hurt to try. When Alexa admitted that finances were no problem he'd give a small nod. She either had her finances in check or had something to take care of them. It was pretty simple. The latter half however made kan turn a little red and he'd cough again, setting down a business card on the countertop.
"Well. I wouldn't feel right charging anything more than Five hundred yen for such a simple fix. This is my business card; For both digital and human world endevours."
He'd pause and scratch the back of his head.
"That way if you need it, you can just give me a ring and I can do troubleshoot for you. Usually not doing anything in the middle of the week, so if you need to you can swing by."

Data nodded. It sounded like Shattermon went on quite a journey. Some parts Data was envious of. Other parts, he probably wouldn't want to have gone through himself.
"Well, how did all that turn out?" Data asked, ever the curious 'mon. He supposed it went well enough, considering they were all standing there, conversing. "Also, what's it like to share a body with a bunch of other digimon spirits?"
"I can imagine. But you seem trust-worthy," Alexa said. She felt her guard slipping around this guy. Maybe it was because they were both outcasts - though Alexa was only guessing that Kan, too, was an outcast.
"I guess so. I guess it can be a lot of stress. Do your spirits remember him, or were they not attached to him, either?" Alexa asked, unsure of the proper nomenclature.
500 yen? That was a steal. "Are you sure that's all? Could I do something else? Take you to dinner, maybe?" Alexa was again unaware of the subtleties of what she said - to her, taking someone out to dinner was just a way of being friendly. She took the business card in her hand. Though neither of them were Japanese, she did the proper Japanese thing of looking it over and giving it the proper respect before putting it in her bag.
"Thanks. I appreciate it. I could give you my d-terminal information, if you need anything from me," she offered, though what exactly she could offer in return, she wasn't sure. Maybe detective needs?

"How did what turn out? Me becoming... you know? A spirit? Or do you mean not so destruction bound?"
Shattermon shifted slightly; looking confused for a moment. The next question made it laugh and it shook it's head slowly.
"It's a pain in the ass, we all bicker and the like about who should do what. Well. At least we did, up until kan sorted everyone out. He's good at that."
Kan scratched the side of his head, still working on the computer. It was coming along alot faster than he was expecting. Maybe having someone to talk to wasn't so bad; especially when it was someone that seemed to be all right with his spirits. Most people were completely uncomfortable with them in every fashion.
"... Bit of a first hearing that, but thank you."
He'd give her a small smile and look down at the computer; frowning slightly.
"They haven't a clue, They think he was a tamer."
"Or a different spirit user, who knows. I care not honestly."
Kan nodded when she inquired about how much it cost. Her second question caught him off guard and the third making the man stop completely. Rather bewildedered of what she was offering. Though he could of said no, he'd slowly shrug giving her a bit of a nod.
"I was certain yes, but Dinner sounds nice. Maybe after you finish your essay hmm? Wouldn't want you to have your computer fixed for nothing after all."
He'd add quietly looking down at his digivice. He'd shake his head slowly and rub the back of his head. Shattermon snorted and it seemed like silvermon was chuckling.. past the chuffing that could be heard from it.
"No problem, I can't exactly use my digivice to communicate, but maybe if the screen fixes itself I could."
Another pause and he'd furrow his brow.
"Such as what if you don't mind me asking?"

"Right. That's what I mean. Being a spirit and everything that's come after," Data said, rephrasing his question. It still sounded kind dumb out loud, but he wanted to know these things, dammit! So - Kan was a good mediator? He supposed there were hidden depths under that cool exterior. Still, he wondered what that scene was like - Kan trying to sort all his spirits out. They didn't seem like a rowdy bunch now, but from what Shattermon described, it probably had been difficult at the time.
Alexa smiled. Kan did seem trust worthy, even if other people didn't see it. Heck, here he was fixing her stupid mistake, and doing it for very cheap just because he was a nice guy. He could have gouged her for it, especially once she said she could afford it, but he didn't. That put him in her good graces.
And heck, he even had a cute smile. But she didn't say that out loud. No, she'd never!
She wondered if different people could use the same digivice for different purposes. Obviously a person couldn't use a xros loader with only one digimon, but why couldn't a spirit user use a tamer's digivice? Well, thinking on it, she hadn't even yet seen a spirit user's digivice. Hmm. She would ask Kan about it later, if he didn't mind.
"Right! My essay. Sure, I'll finish that. It shouldn't take too long. It's about romantic themes in Shakespeare. It's easy stuff," Alexa explained. Data rolled his eyes. He'd been hearing her talk about it for the last few nights. He didn't understand a word of it. Human writing wasn't his thing unless it was crime or noir.
"You didn't get a d-terminal either? Well, I guess we can use the old fashioned way. I'll give you my phone number." She took out her phone. And then his second question came. She paused. She didn't exactly know what to say. "Well, I mean, us tamers have to look out for each other. I mean, I know you're pretty powerful, but if you ever find yourself in a bind and need help, we can try to help out," she said, piecing her ideas together slowly. She doubted she'd be much help, but it seemed polite to offer.

"I died, I forgot a lot about myself. Had a lot sorted out and then he found me. Well. Found what's left. So I suppose it turned out well."
Shattermon shifted slightly and sighed softly; looking down at it's paws. It didn't look distressed or anything; but it certainly looked rather pensive. Silvermon on the other hand reached out and patted it's comrade on the top of the head.
"WE ALL FORGET."
Kan shifted a little bit and kept working on the computer. It looked as though it was getting to the point of just making sure everything was in place and everything was dried off. He obviously was used to working with stuff like this; the way that he handled it with utmost care. There was a tender and gentle way around his movements when it came to electronics. It was as though he actually cared about the item in particular even though he didn't own it.
"Interesting, Its been years since I've read anything that has Shakespeare in it. I'll admit I'm curious to see what you've written in it. Though I must wonder, where would you see romantic themes? In which one of his plays would you say is the most so?"
When it came to this sort of thing, Kan wasn't exactly the most educated but he certainly had curiousity to spare. He'd place his hands on the counter top looking curiously at her when she spoke.
"No unfortunately, I.. Just have this. Oh. Phones, right."
He'd smile a bit and bring out his own phone; flipping it open. He had one of those older phones yes, but it was one of his own design. One that would allow him to use multiple kinds of cards if he so wanted to. Her answer to his second question made him pause considerably and he had to admit. She was right; tamers could have it rough so to speak. They didn't have the re-assurance of being able to turn into a digimon.
"I'm a spirit user, but yes... I'd agree we would need to help one another. After all, even without digimon we still have our own skills. I'll make sure to give you a ring if I run into trouble I can't handle on my own."
He'd glance over at the computer and he'd chuckle softly.
"I wouldn't mind getting help or helping someone in need, there's always room for it in my days. Even if it is filled with fixing people's things."
He'd tease of course, scratching behind one of silvermon's ears. The latter of which shuddered and squirmed a bit. It was like having a big overgrown puppy.. of death. Realizing something he'd give her a grin.
"I do know a good place that you might enjoy, opened recently mind you."

Alexa looked over to Data. He'd known a thing or two about dying and coming back. Thankfully he'd seemed to have all of his memories, or at least, he'd hadn't mentioned having and memory trouble at all.
Both Data and Alexa were surprised when Silvermon went to comfort the fellow spirit. Alexa wouldn't admit it, but she'd thought Silvermon up until then to be a thoughtless beast. It was nice to see it react to it's fellow spirit's emotions. She imagined they probably comforted Kan in times of trouble as well. Suddenly, she started to understand the appeal of spirits. Well, one didn't exactly choose if they got a partner or spirits, but it was still an interesting thing to observe.
Alexa turned back to Kan. She watched him work on her computer. He was ery gentle with her computer. He was shy for sure, and his spirits were a bit gloomy (but friendly!) but he seemed a good guy. She felt a bit bad for having misjudged him. She'd been at the receiving end of that quite often. It never felt very good.
And then he asked about her essay. She blushed. Wait, why was she blushing? Oh, probably because the essay was a bit embarrassing. Yeah, that had to be it.
"Well, once I'm done editing it, you can definitely look it over. But it's just a high schooler's essay, it probably won't be very interesting. And a lot of it is actually arguing that Romeo and Juliet is not a romantic piece, but about the evils of obsession. Yeah. It's kinda weird," she said. She looked down and tucker her hair back. She suddenly realized she cared what Kan would think of her writing. That was... strange.
She looked at his phone, obviously modified. That was pretty cool. Maybe if she needed a new phone, she'd pay him for one. He certainly had skill.
"Spirit user, right, my bad. Still getting used to all the different terms," Alexa said, blushing again. "But yeah, likewise. You seem like a real helpful person. I really appreciate it. So... what's this new place?"

Kan kept working on the computer; eventually coming to the conclusion that there wasn't more he could do other than wait. Now that most of the tea was out and that it seemed to be okay as far as damage went. He seemed to miss the intial blush about her essay; giving her a small but friendly grin still.
Silvermon on the other hand liked the attention on the ear scratches and grabbed one of kan's hands the latter of which gave the spirit a small look of "really" and the spirit huffed.
"That sounds great Alexa, and really? You'd be surprised what I'd find interesting."
He'd admit plainly giving her that smile again, scratching behind the ear of silvermon once more. Looking rather thoughtful. What was the place called again? He had to think it over for a moment; he knew it was noodles primarily and there was a buffet option. So he'd just have to explain that bit out more than anything.
"I don't think that's weird at all. Well there are Spirit's, solo digimon and tamers as far as I know. I've heard of tamers with multiple partners but i don't know what those are called."
He looked slightly confused at the blush; now that he saw it again. He'd rub the back of his head and give her a small sheepish grin.
"Well thank you, and no problem it is uh.. My job to help people. As far as the place? It's noodles primarily but they have a buffet option. Not super high class mind you but it certainly does taste good!"
Kan started to work on putting the computer back together again;; piece by piece looking rather content with how it had turned out.
"But It is a pleasure helping you Alexa, I do mean it if you need help, just give me a call yeah?"

"Well, I suppose. Thanks." She too, had some interests others would find weird or strange. Another thing she had in common with Kan. She was surprised she had so much in common with this other person she'd only just met. It was nice, though. She looked over to Silvermon. She had to admit, she kind of wanted to scratch the beast behind the ears too. He was becoming cuter and cuter. Silvermon, that was.
"Twin digimon, I think. Don't know if the tamers are any different, though," Data responded to Kan. He flew over to Alexa and perched on her shoulder, sensing they would be leaving soon. He was satisfied, having learned quite a bit about spirits.
"Noodles? That sounds good. Yes, we should go. It should only take a few more hours for me to finish my essay. Then we can all go," Alexa said. Data laughed.
"I think the idea if that you and Kan go. It's okay, you can get me a to-go box and I'll work on some case files," Data explained. Alexa realized what he was talking about. She couldn't get rid of her blush.
"Oh. Well. Um. Don't worry, I'm sure it's nice, don't worry about if it's fancy or not," she stuttered out. "Yes, I'll definitely give you a call, but you have to promise me you'll do the same," she said, trying to re-gain control of the situation. She'd soon have her computer, and soon, she'd go on a date with this man she'd just met. She'd had no idea her trip to get her computer back would lead to all this.

"You're welcome."
Kan would chuckle softly and place the last part of the computer into place. The gentle snick of it being so made the man grin slightly. It was not two or three moments later that he had put the cover to the computer back together and he'd blink from what data had said.
"Nono, Not twins, like three or four more partners. I haven't seen one of them but I've heard of them. They don't digivolve unless together."
He'd explain out, rubbing the back of his head and gently placing the computer in front of Alexa. He'd show her that it turned on, while the screen was facing her. He knew that some people would like to see that it did turn on before taking it home.
"Sounds good to me, I'll likely be here still so just stop on by when you're done then."
Kan blinked owlishly when data suggested that it just be the two of them. He'd shrug slightly; missing the point completely. He could be somewhat dense when it came to certain things after all.
"Well it's certainly a comfy establishment, so I'd imagine you'll enjoy it either way. And of course, If I can think of anything at least."
He'd give her a soft smile and remove his hands from the computer entirely. It was hers to take if she found no qualms with it. Silvermon looked like it had passed out and Shuttermon hadn't said a lick since putting his head down. Both spirits were content, one from interactions and the other from head scritches.

"Oh, I think you mean generals. I've met one. Though he only had one partner, but they said he might get as many as 7. I mean, can you imagine 7 partners? Well, you already have so many," Alexa said, catching herself. She'd heard of and met at least 4 of his spirits, but how many more could Kan have? She still had a lot to learn.
Alexa smiled again as she saw her laptop working once more. She took out her laptop bag and gently placed the laptop back in after putting it in sleep mode.. She wanted to be extra gentle - it would be pretty embarrassing if she managed to break it again after just getting it fixed.
"Right. Will do. Shouldn't be more than an hour or two," she said.
"The day is still young," Data teased. Despite his protectiveness, he kind of liked seeing her embarrassed.
"I'm sure I'll like it," she reassured Kan. Despite growing up on fancy meals, her palette wasn't super fancy. As long as the food tasted good, that was enough. "Well, I'll be seeing you, then." She took out her wallet and handed him 1000 yen. "A little extra, for being so nice."
Before he could hand it back, she sped off to the door.
"See you soon!"
With that, the duo left. Alexa had an essay to write.

"Generals? So that's what they're called. Interesting."
He'd pause and look thoughtful, storing the information for further use. He'd give alexa a small smile still at the mention of him having so many partners already. He had four as it stood, and he would be getting one more. A very powerful individual he wasn't sure how he would deal with. It unnerved him, made him nervous and he hated that fact.
"Four isn't that many, I've only got one more before my group is 'complete' so to speak."
He'd laugh and gently pat the counter; he imagined that the last one would likely be very quiet. Might not talk at all if Kryptmon was any kind of glance into that tier of power. He'd nod at her statement of not being more than an hour or two; the tease from data made him pause. His brow furrowing slightly.
"If not I'm sure we could find a place that you would enjoy."
He'd comment rubbing the back of his head; he'd accept the yen expecting it to be the five hundred he quoted. When she told him that there was extra he'd sputter and reach out with his free hand intending on returning it before watching her go. He'd look down at the yen and then back at the retreating form of alexa. She was quick to leave and he sighed, sitting down fully and opening up the register.
"She's nice."
"Cheerful too, young. Quite a surprise Kan."
"My guess is you two want to go with?"
"Want sleep."
"I agree."
Kan made a face before sighing and checking the register again. He'd flick off the open sign before locking everything down. After all it seemed he would be eating out later tonight....
