Alright Alexa, breathe. This was just a nice, friendly dinner. Nothing more. She had offered it, now she was going to go through with it. She'd have a good time, right? Right. It'd be fine. It wasn't like, a date or anything. It was just going to be a nice dinner with a new friend. No need to be jittery or anything.
She put on a nice expensive perfume though, just in case. She didn't dress fancy or anything though, she kept her school clothes, which was the same outfit she'd worn earlier, when she met Kan. It was good enough then, so it would be good enough now, she figured.
"You're looking nice. Now remember, you're going to be fine. I won't be there, but if there are any rogue digimon, Kan has his spirits. And you can text me," Data said. Alexa had gotten him a cellphone for work, and it apparently would be useful for tonight, when Data would be at home doing case work while Alexa was enjoying dinner with Kan. Alexa felt a bit bad about this, but Data promised he was fine. Honestly, he was ecstatic his tamer was finally spending more time with humans. And spending time with a cute human male, too, hey, that could help his tamer come out of her shell too. Well, as long as Kan was good to her. Any funny business - well, it didn't matter if Kan had his spirits. Data would still sort him out.
"Alright. Thanks Data. I'm heading out." Alexa put a few things in her purse - her wallet, her phone, her digivice, and some lipstick, along with her keys. That seemed sufficient. Data nodded at her. Usually he'd even go with her for short distances after the Gotsumon attack, but Kan's shop was pretty close.
Alexa went outside and put on her sweater. It was a cute holiday sweater that managed to balance the thin line between cute an cheesy. It was getting along in the year, and even in Japan winter was a killer. She had a scarf on too, though that was more for fashion. She stepped out into the street and made her way to the store.
She stood outside for a minute, wondering what to say. Well, it would be simple, right. 'Kan, let's go to dinner.' No, that was kind of rude. 'Hello Mr. Kan, let's go out?" yeah, maybe something like that. She took another breath, then opened the door. She wondered if Kan's spirits would be there too. She wondered if they got as much of a kick out of this as Data seemed to.
"Kan? Are you here? It's Alexa. I'm here for our dinner, if you're still up for it."

Kan had to admit that he wasn't sure what to bloody wear, it was just a casual dinner for the most part right? It was just the noodle place along with some chit chat with this individual he had made friends with. That just happened to be a nice younger woman that he had met today.
He'd grumble a bit and make sure that his clothing was nice and proper. Well.. as proper as you could get without getting too crazy. It was just his normal every day work outfit. Not the heavy work mind you; that would require his coverall onsie. He wasn't about to wear that thing out and about.
He'd spend maybe a few hours upstairs before the dinner, staring at the ceiling while he could hear the spirits go about their business. Kryptmon out of everyone had offered to stay downstairs to keep an eye out for Alexa. How did he know who she even was? Well he had apparently been downstairs while everything had been going on; just simply hadn't spoken at all.
Silvermon had offered to be in the digivice in case of trouble, which kan found oddly thoughtful. So of course he accepted, the canine digimon was a powerful fighter. The sheer weight of his claws and mobility could put the others to shame. He was used to flying, the others weren't so much... at least the earlier digivolutions.
When it got around dinnertime he heard a voice downstairs; kryptmon of course popped his head through the floor staring daggers at the man. The latter of which quickly trotted from his bed down the stairs and into the shop proper that made up his entryway. He paused when he saw alexa and then gave her a small smile, sliding his digivice into his pocket while doing so. He was about to say something but silvermon beat him to the punch almost immediately.
"HELLO ALEXA."
The voice projected from his digivice so of course it sounded muffled but it was quite loud and the shopkeep sighed softly rubbing the back of his head afterwards.
"Of course i'm still up for it, why wouldn't I be?"
He'd ask casually shutting the door that led upstairs behind him as he crossed the threshold into the shop proper. where alexa was of course within.
"I like your scarf; it's fitting. Are you ready for a small walk? It's just down the street after all~"

"Hi there - Silvermon, right?"
Alexa was no longer scared of Silvermon. In fact, she would've given the spirit a pat on the head had it materialized. She'd just had to wait for next time.
"Thanks. It's just a cute scarf I saw that I thought would look nice," she said. "A small walk sounds nice. I can't wait to check this place out." She took a step outside the shop. "I guess I just wanted to make sure I wasn't making you go against your will."
She'd worried about this a tiny amount - Kan didn't seem the outgoing type, and here she was making him go to dinner with her. She hoped it wasn't too big of an inconvenience.

"YES."
Silvermon sounded rather pleased from the correct guess. It was rather amusing to think about something so simple making such a plain impact on the spirit. It likely didn't get to interact with individuals too terribly often.
"Good choice I'd say. It's a nice place I'd say, you'll likely enjoy the decor."
He'd blink and raise a brow from her comment on "making" him go somewhere. If he didn't want to go out he would of shot down the idea initially. There was no real reason to beat around the bush with it.
"Well to be fair I could of said no, but what would the point be of that? Can't stay cooped up in my shop all the time."
He'd shrug a bit and consider something briefly before giving her a small smile. It was nice to be considered when coming to this but he had to admit he wouldn't of minded staying in and just having dinner either. But then again going out never hurt anyone.
"Shall we then?"
He'd gesture down the street, closing the shop door behind him. He scratched the back of his head and looked about. He had to admit though; he still was more.. Surprised that she had even suggested this..

Alexa nodded. She was sure whatever Kan chose would be amazing. Or at least a fun adventure. She took a small breath. Kan was right - he was his own person, it wasn't like she had a gun to his head to go out with her. And some fresh air would do them both some good, not to mention socialization would probably be good for them too. She looked over to him shyly. She'd noticed it before, but still, a smile really did look good on him.
She nodded. "Yes, we shall." She wondered if he would offer his hand - maybe that was a bit too much at this stage, though. She stood next to him, trying to make sure she wasn't too far nor too close.
"I'd love to learn more about your time in the digital world. Data and I are still very new. We've met a few veterans, and honestly, it sounds like the longer you're int he digital world, the scarier it becomes. Is that true, in your experience?"
She thought back to Yuuki and Hikaru. The things they'd both went through. She wondered if Kan was similarly scarred. Maybe that was rude to ask, but he seemed to have a lot of experience, so if anyone could answer, it would be him.

Kan rubbed his neck a bit, looking around as they walked. He honestly felt a little nervous; if not out of sorts. This wasn't like him normally, he didn't do this sort of thing. She was a customer sure and she had offered but wouldn't he of normally turned it down? Was it the fact his spirits seemed to want him to at least enjoy himself? Rather than putting his hands in his pockets however he let them hang by his sides one of which would sometimes come up to rub his neck.
"Well... It's been ups and downs that's for sure. You ever been to a different country? Imagine the digital world kind of like that, you start to notice the things a locale would once you're there long enough. I wouldn't say it gets scarier.. just that you know where to go and where not."
He'd pause after a few moments looking down at her and he'd chuckle lightly.
"If anything it's been pretty... what's the word... Normal? I guess. It feels just natural to be there, feels right and sometimes the human world just feels wrong. There are places I don't like to go, like luminas or whitewater."
He'd glance down at her, quirking a brow thoughtfully. That smile still there.
"What of you? I'd imagine you've been there too."

Alexa looked over to Kans hands again. Maybe she should offer hers? No, she was still too shy. SHe just continued to walk by his side. She adjusted her scarf a bit to protect more from the cold - it was getting more chilly by the minute.
"Oh, I've been to plenty of different countries. Yeah, I guess you're right. It's like culture shock." She looked down. It was a bit like moving to Tokyo, really. She'd already learned a new language and where to go and not go. Maybe the digital world was just like a different country. "How long have you been in Japan?"
Normal sounded nice. She hoped things would eventually be just normal.
"I've not been to Luminas or Whitewater but we've gone to Terminus a few times. Good shopping. Quiet. But it always feels kind of weird there," she admitted. It could've been due to her being a human in an alien world, but it felt like there was more to it than that. She just couldn't put her finger on it.

Kan blinked a little bit as he noted that she adjusted her scarf, was it really that cold out? He'd pause and rub his neck again; what was he supposed to say? There was that odd feeling that he should do something, but what? There was an equally as awkward pause followed by a small chuckle.
He had a stupid idea, one of course he wasn't sure if she'd follow along suit with. But he offered his hand to her, often more than not if your hands were cold you were cold. It was getting chilly out after all.
"Really? Which ones? And twelve or so years. I spent most of my childhood elsewhere."
There was a brief pause again and he'd get a small grin.
"Incidentally that's how long I've known about the digital world too. Kind of funny really."
He'd tilt his head and rub the back of his neck again. So she hadn't been to whitewater or Luminas? Both places were nice in their own way; one was more like a resort than an actual city and the other was... Structured.
"I'd recommend going at some point, they're nice places if not vastly different than Terminus. I haven't been shopping in Terminus, usually too busy running around taking care of things."
He considered something briefly and shrugged.
"Though I'd have to say, the food in Terminus is very spot on. I'd suggest going there for a bite to eat given the chance."

It made sense he'd spent his life somewhere else. Japanese was not his native language. As she had noted when she first met him, he seemed to have a North American accent, like she did. Oh wait, did he put his hand out? Alexa tried and failed not to blush as she gave him her hand.
"Germany, Norway, Scotland, and Singapore were my favorites," she said, trying not to spend all her time thinking abut where her hand was. "You've known the digital world for a long time," she mused. It made her feel her own lack of knowledge more. "I'll check them out. I still have a lot of the digital world to explore."
She thought for a moment. "I mean, we could go to Terminus. The food there is quite nice." And with him being a spirit tamer, she wouldn't have to worry about being defenseless. "But weren't you planning for somewhere in the human world?"

Kan couldn't help but give a small smile when she took his hand; he'd tilt his head slightly however when she told him of where she had gone. All of those places he had heard of at some point or another; he hadn't been to any of them perhaps in the future he'd have to pay some of them a visit?
"I haven't been to any of them unfortunately; busy with work and such as you can Imagine."
He'd chuckle softly, rubbing his neck with his free hand. He had only known the digital world for a long time because of pure luck; there were many instances of when he would of met his end in some manner or another. But luck pays off somehow; eventually turning into experience.
"It may seem like a long time, but I swear every time I go it's a vasly different place than the last time I went."
He'd glance down at her, raising his brows slightly.
"That I was, More of a suggestion for the future than anything."
He'd pause after a few moments, rubbing his chin thoughtfully. There were quite a few establishments he knew of and all of them were pretty top notch in comparison to some of the locales here. But then again there wasn't as much of a standard in the digital world either so...
"We're almost to the place I had in mind anyways.. So it'd be a waste to come this far."
Speaking of the restaurant, a neon sign both in the window and on the side of the building came into view. One that read open and the other giving the name. It was obviously new considering that it was well kept and lacked the buzz that you would expect most restaurants to have given the time.
"There it is.. I was worried it was going to be closed for some reason..."
