Toki's footsteps echoed across the strange hallway of this terminal. He had traveled here after hearing that this was the way back home, but as he made the journey he couldn't help but think about something. He pulled a device from his jacket pocket. The purple and brown object that had appeared to him in a time of crisis. Even after having all this time to think about it he still couldn't grasp what exactly this allowed him to do. Memories of the event were hazy at best, but the aches and pains of it were all too real and lingered on. Flashes of something...a fight...flickered in the back of his mind. He felt strong, but different. His grip tightened around the device, frightened at what he could do with it. He wanted to throw it away and never think of it again, but he couldn't. It felt too important to him, like it and he were forever linked and to lose it would be like losing a part of himself.
He paced back and forth on the platform, an odd sense of frustration welling up inside of him. He just wanted to go home and forget about this place. But how could he? The people he met so far. They treated him normally. He also thought about the sadness and the devastation he saw on his way here. Corruption, places torn apart by some kind of conflict. This world...The Digital World, was in trouble. Could he really not do something? Was he just going to go home and be done with it? What would he be throwing away? He sat down on a nearby bench and ran his hands through his hair "I just need to go home...go to school...and go back to the dojo. That's all that matters...that's all that matters." he said. He was lying to himself, but he was never allowed a chance to express what HE wanted. An adventure. He could have an adventure here...maybe he could come back? Maybe he could stay a while longer? He grit his teeth and bunched his hair in his hands, D-Scanner at his side. "Damn it..."

Another set of footsteps could be heard across the area, a much softer set as a young kid and some tiny angel looking Digimon wandered around the area. "General, we should keep going outside." The angel egged on, despite saying this to the kid though no words could be heard by anyone else but the young kid. "I know but, we're not done exploring ourselves, besides this place looks important." He pointed out, the Angel simply nodded in agreement before flying behind the young kid. Eventually, the two of them reached a platform nearby, checking around the area in both parts wonder and confusion, shaking his head for a quick second he started to walk around before hearing someone talk nearby.
Artemis had already started floating around noticing his General had stopped. "General what is it?" He asked in Edgar's mind again as he looked up at what his partner was staring at. "He seems distressed, doesn't he?" Edgar pointed out talking softly, though he made no action to pursue towards the older teen his hands in his pockets wondering what to do. To go ask what's wrong or to let it slide, little did he know his partner made that choice for him. "Well, General lets go see if we can help, C'mon." He called out to Edgar once more before flying over to the side of him. "Excuse me, sir, what seems to be the problem?" Artemis asked though the one in question would notice the words weren't said but seemed to echo in his mind instead. Looking at Artemis one would first notice he had no mouth. Edgar noticing Artemis rush off quickly thought for a second before rushing after him.

”Alicia...” Sol began within her mind, a melancholic and worried tone in his voice. ”It has not been long since you’d recovered from your greatest ordeal yet. Please consider remaining out of the Digital World’s affairs for a bit longer.”
“...” The forever changed Spirit Wielder deigned to not answer the dragon, sitting silent and clutching her bound right arm close to her chest.
”Please say something... why’re you so determined to throw yourself into this place again? After what happened, nobody would blame you for hanging up the towel.” Kisara, the other, human looking advisor, continued, draping her spectral arms around the Steel Spirit Wielder’s shoulders.
Again, she refused to even so much as utter a single word.
The would be when Toki, Edgar, and Artemis would hear a Trailmon blowing it’s whistle to signal its arrival, pulling into the Terminal. It’s doors hissed open, and Alicia rose her from seat, stepping out of the car she’d ridden in. She looked terrible frankly, face fixed into a persistent frown along with her right arm and left leg both looking down right mummified from how heavily they were wrapped up. She turned to take steps into Terminus proper, before freezing at seeing the other Digidestined in the area.
“... Huh... I wonder if fate is playing a cruel joke on me...” she spat out, seemingly aiming her venom more at herself then at the three she stumbled across.
Sol and Kisara had hidden themselves away, not wanting to cause much of a fuss if these two were as new as they appeared to be. Alicia didn’t particularly care either way at the moment. They would know if they were needed.

Toki's own thoughts were soon invaded by the strange and unfamiliar voice echoing in his mind. He yelped and scrambled to his feet, clutching his D-Scanner and putting it away in his jacket. He wasn't sure what he was hiding it...maybe he was worried they would judge him for it for some reason or another. People have assumed worse of him for less in the past. "I-I...what was that? Who...?" he looked over at Edgar and what he now assumed to be his Digimon partner. "Was that...was that one of you? I..." he shook his head, still a little shaken by the experience "Everything I know about how reality works is starting to fall apart." he sighed "U-Um..." he tried his best to compose himself "I'm Toki Akiyama...it's nice to meet you both. You honestly scared me with that. See, I was thinking about my time here and suddenly I hear one of you in my head." before he continued, he sat back down "My problem is...I-I don't know what I want to do anymore. I came here only a few days ago and everything that's happened here has been changing how I see myself. I don't think I'll be able to live a normal life after seeing this world. But I have to. Don't have any other choice." he seemed sad to say those words.
When the train suddenly arrived, he watched in in awe. Was this his way home? The girl who stepped out worried him. Her bandages and her general demeanor seemed like someone who hasn't had an easy time lately. He bowed respectfully, introducing himself once again "I'm Toki Akiyama...it's a pleasure." his mannerisms and posture seemed rigid and high-strung. He kept his D-Scanner hidden in his jacket "Where exactly did that train come from...? Will that take me back home?" he asked. He still didn't know if that was what he wanted right now. "Sorry. That was rude of me to just ask out of nowhere."

Artemis just simply leaned his head to the side confused. "Who? Who what? Oh who talked, it's me Artimon, but the General just calls me Artemis." The little angel recovered from forgetting not everyone was used to that. By now Edgar was standing next to his partner his eyes slightly obscured by his hood. "I'm sorry, it was my partner Artemis, it's the only way he can talk." Edgar pointed out, though he didn't seem to know Artemis already confirmed it himself. "My name is Edgar Shea, and this is my partner Artemis," Edgar said motioning to the tiny Digimon. "Sorry about that, I forgot the General's people aren't used to talking in their heads, I'd stop but it's the only way I can talk," Artemis said once again, though this time speaking to the both of them. Edgar and Artemis listened to the teenager's woes, the younger kid actually looking a bit to the side once h said that. "I see, so you're new to this whole thing as well." He added not knowing if it'd help knowing he wasn't alone in that endeavor.
Though before the young kid could say anything else a whistle blew out unexpectedly, Edgar paused looking over at the train that seemed to suddenly arrive. A woman walked out older then anyone Edgar had seen in the digital world, which wasn't saying much that he thought about it. Though his eyes seemed glued to her wounds instead of her features. "Uhh, Hello miss." Edgar managed to get out eyes quickly shifting from her bandages to her eyes, he hoped she didn't catch that with his hood in the way. "Hi! Nice to meet you mummy lady." Artemis said in everyone's head, though it was obvious he didn't know what those were. "Artemis I don't think that's what she was going for." He silently said to his partner.

“The name’s Alicia Westfield.” the bearer of Steel returned to Toki, just nodding to acknowledge him in turn and huffing. “Human World, hop on it and when it goes you’ll be in similar place to this, just leave the terminal like normal and you’ll pop up in Shibuya. Seeing as you don’t have a partner nearby like him... I take it you have this style of Digivice?”
That said, she reached down, plucking her own gunmetal gray one out and lifting it for the fellow spirit user to see. “If you do, take my advice. Either resolve to fight to the death if you’re allowed no other course, find some reason to push onward through anything, or go forget this place ever existed. Anything less and any family members you have will be standing over an empty grave wondering ‘What happened to him?’ I know that all too well now.”
”H-Hey! That’s a little too harsh, even from you!” Kisara cut in, her trasparent figure phasing into existence at Alicia’s left. She ruffled her robes a bit, loosing a little bit of snow from them, as the ice maiden turned to Toki. ”I’m so sorry... Alicia’s gone through some really rough times lately. Oh, before I forget, I’m Kisara. Charmed.”
Alicia then waved half-heartedly in Edgar’s direction, acknowledging his presence as well even if she was focused more on Toki at the moment. “Yo...” She was starting to look their way, before Artemis’ voice came into her head and she rolled her eyes. “Another telepath, huh?”
”How odd, that is a rare power among Digimon...” Sol’s deeper voice resounded through the terminal, appearing behind Alicia. The armored great wyrm rested his hands on Alicia’s shoulders, towering over even the unusually tall Toki by at least a few feet. ”I suppose we might as well all get introduced. I am Sol, the first of Alicia’s Spirit advisors. Kisara arrived a little later.”
... did the angel really just call her a mummy lady? It was so painfully ironic that Alicia barked out a dry, sarcastic laugh. “Being a mummy would’ve been easier on me. At least I would know what the hell I am still.”

He smiled at Edgar and Artemis "General? That's quite the title you have." he said. His voice sounded genuinely impressed instead of being condescending towards him for being a child with a title like that. "It's very nice to meet you all. And you don't have to apologize...I was just caught off guard over the sudden voice. If we're both new to this world, then we have something in common already."
Toki froze slightly at the harsh sounding words Alicia said to him. He pulled out his digivice and showed it to her "I'm still not sure what this all means...I can't really come to any kind of decision until I know more, I...I felt like I can make a difference here. I WANT to make a difference, I just don't know how I can. I can't just forget this place ever existed. There are bad things here...but I-I can tell there are really amazing things here too." he said. Despite the clear nervousness in his voice, he seemed steadfast in his decision. "For once I just want something to happen because I want it to, not because someone told me to do it." it was difficult for him to even say that. It felt like a complete betrayal of his life from before. "Sorry...sorry, I should be quiet. My life's story is nothing interesting." he chuckled nervously.
He looked at the spirits that materialized next to Alicia, fascinated "It's nice to meet you, Kisara, Sol." he bowed to them "L-Like I said I still don't have any idea what any of this means or what my digivice does. I remember vague hints of a fight and I still feel sore from it, but at the same time I felt like I wasn't myself. I don't remember much else. I heard from someone I met earlier about Spirit Users. Is that what I am?" he seemed a little scared of these recollections "I dislike fighting without good cause. I don't want to accidentally hurt someone who doesn't deserve it or hurt them more than I should. I already have in the past."

Edgar scratched the back of his head once the stranger managed to hear what Artemis had to say. "It's just a title Artemis gave me, he refuses to call me anything else." Edgar pointed out. "That's because you're my General, it's rude to call you anything else." Even if he really doesn't care either way. "It's probably best to find common ground with someone, helped ground me when I first learned all this." Then the newcomer said what she said bringing out a type of digivice that Edgar hadn't seen before. Though considering his and what he knew Alexa's looked like that led to the last possible conclusion. "So that's a D-scanner huh General," Artemis confirmed with Edgar cutting that out from anyone else.
Though Edgar found himself more interested in what the spirits had to say. "Rare power?" Edgar repeated looking at Artemis, there was also the fact Data had never seen a Digimon like Artemis around, just what was his partner anyway. Though he quickly recalled he hadn't introduced himself to these spirits and Alicia. "Oh right, my names Edgar Shea, and this is my partner Artemis." replied, mostly since they introduced themselves.
"Huh, but you just said you're Alicia, silly mummy lady you know who you are," Artemis replied seemingly oblivious to the context of what she said. Though Edgar was a bit more concerned with these rough times the guides of hers talked about, Though he quickly pondered through what she said to Toki and how she was right now and figured he could make a rough guess. Though he was quick to pick up on Toki's fear. "You don't have to be quiet Toki, my life isn't interesting either, doesn't seem to have any barring on what goes on around here." Edgar pointed out, he was just some kid from America.
"Sorry to hear about your rough time's mu- I mean Alicia, me and the General hope things get better for you," Artemis said as cheerful as ever. Though Edgar just scratched the side of his head, why did he need to be included in that,

“First time meeting a Xros General myself...” Alicia mused softly as she listened to the interplay between Toki, Edgar, and Artemis. “Good luck managing all the personalities you’ll wind up bringing together.” Then the bearer of Steel turned towards Toki, listening closely to him and noting he did indeed have a D-Scanner like her. “Ha... we’re cut from similar cloth I see... Sol, should I handle this or do you want to take up your usual role?”
”I shall remain on stand by to clarify things as needed.” Sol answered back with a hum. Alicia nodded to him in turn.
“Alright then. Long story short, you do have the power to make a difference in the world now. Personally, given that you hold a D-Scanner instead of, say, a D-3, or a Xros Loader. I’ll give a demonstration of what I’m talking about in a bit. But as I said, you best be ready with the resolve to uphold whatever it is you’re trying to do, no matter what.” Then a wry, small smile crossed her lips. “And don’t think you’re life story means nothing worthwhile. Before entering the digital world I was nothing more then a car mechanic trying to make ends meet so she could get into culinary. Well...” She paused to trace a finger over the scar on her cheek. “Minus the run-in with this drunken mugger I had to fight off before hand. But that’s not relevant to the here and now.”
Sol looked over to Edgar and Artemis when they wondered about the rare telepathy. ”Indeed, fairly rare. It’s usefulness varies depending on the scenario and strength, but a skilled mind could find a viable application for it in a pinch. In fact, I believe Artemis here is among the first of his particular Digimon species the world has ever seen. Time will tell if he has more surprises in store.”
Then Kisara sighed softly, fixing a stare on Artemis. ”Knowing who you are and knowing what you are are two very different things, little one. The first is your identity, the name you acknowledge as your own. The second is the definition of your very existence. Like how you know you are a Digimon, and Edgar knows he is a human. Alicia... right now we’re not sure whether she’s more human or more Digimon right now...”
“And to explain that... well words don’t do it justice. Toki, you especially should pay attention. As a fellow spirit user, getting caught by the wrong kind of folk here could leave you in a similar state.” The bearer of steel gripped part of the bandage around her right arm and loosened it, letting the top part at the shoulder begin to unravel. What was revealed underneath was most certainly not the arm of a human, not by a long shot. The similarities ended with the overall shape of the arm. Unlike with Toki and Edgar, Alicia’s arm looked like it had steel plates physically bolted to it at key points. And not just any mundane steel, no this steel flexed and tensed like flesh. Nothing too bad yet though.
Then she undid the bolts and pulled the covering away. Revealing that those plates were in fact her new “skin” for the mutated arm. Underneath was a medley of flesh, more coils of steel, and circuitry. In some areas each element could be seen in clear, distinct bundles that didn’t interact with each other. It got even more freaky in the areas that blurred the line between them, coils dipping into and being attach to flesh while circuitry sparked upon both, the three elements in perfect harmony.
It was like someone had deigned to twist her arm into some kind of bio-mechanical monstrosity while it was still part of her. Alicia quickly covered the arm back up with her bandages. “Fortunately I think that’s one of the rarer, worse fates one can fall prey too in the Digital World. And yes, its the same for my leg too...”
”Alicia...” Sol started cautiously, but she raised her normal hand to stall him.
“I’ll be fine... it’s better they know the worst they have to prepare for. Anyways, for Spirit Users like us, Toki? You seem to be having amnesia for your first real fight, so you don’t know what happened to you. The thing is... We who hold a D-Scanner can willfully transform ourselves to protect ourselves and those we care about. Some forms just handle it differently...”
”Alicia, wait!”
“It’s fine, if I’m calm nothing bad will happen.” Alicia assured the dragon spirit. Then with a press of a button, her D-Scanner activated, displaying her element’s kanji, Steel, followed by it taking on a dark hue. “Bloodied steel hammered into blades, encircling the unbreakable abyss, now form a deathly maw that devours all... Beast Spirit Evolution.”
The chant was said with little if any inflection whatsoever, as if Alicia was deliberately going the extra mile to keep her emotions in check. Black mist stemmed out from the device, and from her own body, wrapping her in whirling coccoon of miasma. Shortly they after, four beady, glowing red eyes opened one by one in the mist, and the cybernetic monstrosity stepped into view.
“Cybercursedramon.” Alicia’s voice had now taken on a much deeper tone, with a terrible hiss lying under her words. Alicia herself knew well the kind of monster this form could turn into if she lost control, so she was planning to change back after the three before her had gotten a good look of what she had become.
... She’d wanted to use an easier form to control, something that would still get the point across without the risk... but her other totems weren’t responding when she called upon them.
“And no, the chant isn’t required for all Spirit Users. Just me, it seems.” Alicia added in as an after thought. “Toki... trust me when I say this. You will find very often that you aren’t hitting hard enough to save yourself or someone you care about if you keep holding onto that fear while in the Digital World. Standard Digimon don’t truly ‘die’ unless...” She trailed off and shook her head, shuddering. Apparently something about what she was about to say froze her in some kind of emotion. Fear? Loathing? Who knew.
Sol acted quickly, clamping his hands over the cyber dragon’s ears and nodding to Kisara. ”They don’t truly die unless you intentionally go the final step after they die and ‘load’ their data into yourself. If you let that data fly away, it’ll go to Primary Village and be reformatted into a Digiegg, and the Digimon will be reborn good as new. Spirit Users, though, don’t have that safety net. So be careful out there all the same.”

Toki smiled at the interaction between Edgar and Artemis. They were definitely close. "I would appreciate any help you can offer me. I just hope I can do the same in return. I've never really had anyone other than my family to look up to or really...talk to. So, in short...Edgar, Artemis, Alicia, I would like to be a friend to you all. I don't know how good I will do at it, but...I want to try." he said. He looked at the device in his hands "So this is called a D-Scanner? Ever since I used it in the forest, I haven't been able remember how I made it work."
When Alicia began to unravel her bandages, Toki felt a deep sorrow for her and placed a hand over his chest as he listened to her explanations. What had happened to her to change her arm so drastically? He couldn't find the words to express how he felt about her situation, but that was probably for the best since mere words wouldn't be enough to make her feel better about this.
The moment she began to spirit evolve, Toki stood his ground, even taking a step forward as the form of Cybercursedramon came into view. He could FEEL the immense difference in strength between the two of them. He respected it and wanted to strive to higher goals because of it. He also wanted to see her come to terms with herself, though he wasn't sure if it was his place to really be thinking that. "I can't imagine what it must be like to...control that. All I have...I can barely remember its name." he looked at the D-Scanner "Turuiemon...that's what it was called." he looked up at Alicia "I'm going to give this world my all...not just for myself, but I want to fight to keep as many people safe as possible. I don't want people to fight without those willing to support them. I just hope I can make the right calls when they matter..." he said when she mentioned how a Digimon truly dies.

Edgar seemed reluctant to respond to the sudden mention of friendship, while he wasn't turned from the idea he wondered how Toki was able to just come out and hope for something like that, then again it did feel like him and Alicia was on totally different wavelengths then what he was used to. "Yeah, friends," Edgar responded thinking it rude to not say anything. Though the response he became more curious about was Sol's response, while mulling it over Artemis seemed to already be ready to respond. "Oh yeah, sometimes doesn't work but I've managed to confuse a few Digimon, some mistake my voice for their own or someone else entirely." Artemis pointed out, though Edgar seemed surprised at this, he didn't know that Artemis had done that before, he has been seriously underestimating him.
Though with the other spirit Artemis seemed to pause once before nodding. "Yeah, I think I get it." Artemis and Edgar simply watched as she undid her bandages and the metal revealing her arm, Edgar didn't seem as shocked as Toki though, as if he had seen something like this before. "Just like Yuuki," Edgar muttered out, Artemis seemed to hear but he didn't know if anyone else heard the name he dropped, the tiny angel just gave a nod in response. The more Edgar seemed to look at the arm through the more and more unnerved he got at the sight of it, for a few moments he lost himself in a small trance his body shaking lightly in fear until Artemis suddenly popped in his head. "General," Artemis shouted snapping Edgar back to reality just as Alicia redid the bandages. He had to remember to thank Artemis later, He couldn't even bear to imagine how hard that must have been to go through, or the one who would do something that vile.
The next thing Alicia decided to show them was her transformation, Edgar and Artemis simply watched as she said her chant quickly becoming the large Cybercursedramon. Like Toki, though Edgar and Artemis stood their ground, the difference in strength was vast when compared to Artemis but both seemed like they had viewed something akin to this form, if not stronger. Though Edgar seemed distant as he held his hand to his pocket, unknowingly grabbing his Xros loader with his hand, if he thought about what she said they had it bad but, he had no protection minus Artemis, no shield or anything. While it wasn't directed at him Edgar simply gave a sigh calming himself down once more, was this really worth it just to feel special? Not that it mattered much anymore he wouldn't leave Artemis.
"That's a good mentality to have, helping others is important but, make sure you don't need help yourself Toki ok?" Artemis reminded him when he talked about helping others, in his mind that was great but sometimes one person isn't enough.

“... I will need time to mull that offer over Toki. I’m... not against it, but I can’t guarantee that I’ll always be safe to be around... not until I get a hold of myself again after what’s been shaken loose...” Alicia answered back to the extended hand of friendship, each of her red eyes flicking down to focus on the ground. “I’ll provide what assistance I can, and if a question’s over my head, Sol here will probably have an answer.”
”He’s basically Mr. Exposition for us, hah!” Kisara quipped with a grin, turning to the dragon spirit. He in turn rolled his eyes and huffed, but otherwise didn’t deny the statement. The dragon in turned looked to Artemis, smirking.
”Hah, already figured out a few tricks for Telepathy, hmm? You’re a clever little one, keep hold of that cunning and you may go far.” Sol commented with a nod of his head.
Without another word, the cyber dragon closed her eyes and glowed with a gray light, turning back to her normal human form. Alicia stretched a bit at that, sighing. “And yes, it is... difficult to control... Part of my hard time occurred because I was ill prepared to do so when it finally activated.” Toki wasn’t the only one with hazy memories, Alicia herself was plagued with them for some of that time she referred to.
She some days wished she had forgotten everything save the pit of knowing something went horribly wrong. But there was nothing to do about it now. The cost had already been extracted. “Let’s stay in touch though, Toki... at the very least I’ll want to make sure you don’t have to suffer like I have... and I hope you’ll never have to be in a position where you’re not sure you’re going to live through the day.” Her bandaged hand had come up to her chest and gripped her shirt tightly. Another incident she hadn’t brought up yet?
Sol’s ear then twitched as he suddenly focused on Edgar. ”You know Yuuki?” he suddenly asked of the boy. ”That would explain how your more subdued surprise.” He hummed softly, smiling to himself and shaking his head.
”At the end of the day, the call is yours. Leave the Digital World forever, or stand firm and pursue your objectives, whatever they may wind up being. Ultimately, only you can decide if you will answer the call of this world and both meet amazing new beings and fight to the bitter end against cruel fiends. Make no mistake, this world is both beautiful and vicious. Keep your wits about you. And know you may not be safe ignoring it regardless. Digimon can appear in the Real World, though its a rare event.” That was certainly a hell of a closing statement for that section of the conversation.

Toki felt a little insecure by their reactions. Should he not have offered? He shook his head in an attempt to rid himself of these negative thoughts. He looked at Artemis "There's so much you can do with an ability like that. I think it would be incredible to explore what it can do, though within...safe reason anyway."
He looked at Alicia and her advisers and gripped the D-Scanner in his hand "Like our world...I can't possibly back down after knowing about the troubles here and that those troubles can threaten the human world as well. I...I think I've been given this for a reason. The spirit...he said I could find balance within myself and have the strength to protect. I want to live up to that. Not just for the Digital and Real worlds...but for my own sake. My father raised me in the dojo for most of my life, wanting me to know how to defend myself, but what's the point if I don't help others with what I know? It's...it's time I found something to fight for." he said. When Alicia offered to keep in touch, he nodded "I would like that. Truly."
He looked at Edgar "I know I can't do everything by myself...it's why I want to try and make friends here...even though I feel like I'm bad at it..." he rubbed the back of his head nervously before he looked at Sol "As a...spirit user...what should I do here in the Digital World?"

"Why do you need time to mull it over, best to just rush in and be friends, Me and the General will be your friends Toki." Artemis offered. "Oh yeah, if you don't mind being friends with a kid that is," Edgar added, after all, minding Artemis he was the youngest here, at least when he compared his height to the two before him, he'd have to have Artemis stand on his head just to barely break over. "Aw thanks, I try my best. And don't worry Toki, It's not THAT strong, the most I can do is mess with people." Artemis pointed out, really it was more or less throwing your voice with a few fewer steps and in someone's head. "No need to worry, Artemis is too soft to really do anyone some harm." Artemis seemed like he was going to retort, but then just nodded in agreement having no argument.
Though with what Alicia had to say Edgar couldn't help but sheepishly scratch the side of his head before adding. "And I know it's probably meaningless coming from me but, I'm sorry whatever happened, happened. I can hardly imagine what went down but. I just hope this world's done messing with you, I sincerely hope that." Edgar said covering his head with his hood unsure of the response. "Yeah, and if it's not me and the General will come help, cause I'll be your friend if you want me to or not." Again Artemis made friendship sound more like a threat than a nice thing.
"Huh, oh yeah. Yuuki's the one who taught us about this, showed us how strong, and how dangerous this could be, he also gave me an email to talk to him so, at least I have that much." Edgar pointed out pulling out the D-terminal from his opposite pocket. Though with Toki's reaction Edgar just sighed. "Eh, that'd make two of us, I have trouble talking to people if it wasn't for Artemis here I might not have come over, though strangely it gets easier to talk knowing others have had worse," Edgar said not meaning it to be rude, his troubles seemed to just fade away when talking about something worse.
With the closing statement though Edgar had a slight pause for a moment, while it might not have been directed at him. "I made my choice when Artemis gave me the Xros Loader. I can't look back." Though with that another sigh came from the kid. "Though thinking about it he would have followed me the rest of my life had I not accepted."
"He's right, I can be VERY persistent."

“...” Alicia was silent for a moment, before she shrugged and sighed, a toothy smile crossing her expression. “You’re right about that. You don’t get any kind of Digivice on a whim. We’re a rare kind of people, you and I. We’re willing to put all the metaphorical cards on the table for others, especially when we know there’s a good reason for it.”
Glancing over to Artemis, the bearer of Steel sighed to herself. “I’m a potential danger to those around me when I get overly stressed at this time. And in a fight tensions are bound to run thick. I... don’t want to lose control again around others. Especially if they’re not strong enough to match me blow for blow should it come to that. If it wasn’t for that, I’d have no reason to hesitate.”
After the explanation of her concerns, she visibly winced and gripped her head, as if hearing something or other make a terrible noise that grated on her ears. This time it was Kisara who came and held her close, the red head shaking somewhat in the ice maiden’s grasp. “Sorry...” she muttered to Kisara once she got a hold of herself.
”Alas, there’s nothing to do about it but adapt, grow, and overcome, however long that may take.” Sol answered for Alicia in response to Edgar’s sympathy. ”Knowing how terrible our luck is as a whole? I fear there’ll be one or two more surprises we’ll be thrown into the thick of.”
The the dragon focused on Toki, nodding to himself. ”Specific goals are something you will have to discover or decide upon for yourself. I can only advise on conundrums you wind up coming across, should I be made aware of the situation. Further more, I feel it will be more fulfilling to you to forge your own path. Sol hummed a bit, putting a claw on his chin in thought, before nodding to himself.
”I can offer one piece of information freely though. Turueimon is only the very beginning of your path. At points in the Digital World you will have to scour for a whole series of Spirit Totems, each one likely stronger then the last. Turueimon is what’s known as your ‘Sprite’ form, equivalent to a Rookie level digimon. Eventually you’ll get a ‘Human’ form which, despite the name, may be only vaguely humanoid, equivalent to a Champion. That is followed by a ‘Beast’ spirit like the Cybercursedramon form Alicia demonstrated to you that can fight on par with an Ultimate level. An ‘Advanced’ spirit follows that, your Mega-level equivalent. Yet there is still a reserve of power beyond even that, though each one will be quite the ordeal to gain. All are hidden well and potentially even protected by a guardian of some kind whom you will have to best in some way or a trial that can test your limits. The only way such a hunt can be feasible is that when you have grown to a point where you can attempt it, your D-Scanner will show you the way to the general location of your new Spirit Totem, greatly narrowing the search area down.”
”We met Yuuki once too. Before Alicia’s big disaster. But on some pretty bad terms. Some evil people seem to be after him and we wound up having to hide out and survive with a couple others once a Trailmon got blasted off the tracks. Rough times, those. Was a pretty cool guy to be around though, from what we gathered.” Kisara noted, nodding to herself.
“Looks like we all have our similarities. I hope you two don’t come to regret pursuing this path.” Alicia tagged on once her advisors were done speaking. “I suppose everything happens for a reason.”
