Phew, in a sense, that was a bit of a relief. Getting shanked on your first foray into the Digital World didn't sound as something very exciting, even if it probably would constitute a somewhat decent anecdote... if you lived to tell the tale, that is. "Almost sound like they decided to attack you cause they felt bored or something, honestly. Can't believe there are people like that..."
At least those three weren't offended at what had been an otherwise innocent question. "It's good to know you're that close even though you've been together for not so long. I guess the bond between digimon and their humans is a very special one."
They were pretty interesting individuals, for sure! Especially, the digimons. The idealistic type, huh? "Protect the Digital World, huh? May I ask... from whom?" She was pretty interested to see what they'd answer from that. On the other hand, however...
"I guess I wouldn't mind accompanying you, honestly. Where are you planning to go? And... what are you going to do? Guess that just seeing the sights is fine, but I guess you're up to something else?
Or not, maybe. Why was she guessing so much? Instead of thinking, she just took a sip from her cup before reaching for the teapot. It was probably not a good idea, considering she had planned to go to bed somewhat soon, but... eh. Tea was good.

Talking about their little "meeting" with Aeron was a little unsettling but was a necessary eye-opener to what is essentially the first evil they ever met, and what Amelie said only served to drive the point home. "Yeah, sadly people like this exist in the world. But what scares me is that some of them have the assistance of digimon with them, the potential damage that idea can be" Takeshi says completely aware of the danger he was just glad it turned out to be just a conversation piece rather than an event with consequences.
"I guess they are, its interesting but for some reason I fell like fate brought us together. Like there is some greater good we are ment to be doing, eh look at me saying things that do not make sense. Forgive my ramblings, I am probably confused what with my missing memory and all." Ryu said, a hint of sorrow can be heard in his slightly high pitched voice. What did he forget, for now its an unclear mystery but one thing is true and that he forgot an important person in his life.
"Ah, you've been getting that feeling too brother ? Well no matter, I will be here for you so know that. And as for your questions Amy, we'll be frank with you cause you seem decent enough" Ken suddenly stopped being funny as his voice got slightly lower as he was ready to share some information with her.
"Let me take care of it Ken, you see the digital is huge and scary. And I know saying that making it into a save haven is a foolish task, but the thing is we heard rumours about rare digi mentals that are going to be on display in a week from know in the northern prominence. So basically we are going to train for a week and then head there hoping to get it, and do not worry if they refuse to give it to us we wont fight for it." Takeshi explained to her what sounds like a ridiculous plan, that they are willing to make in order to get stronger and help the digital world.

One would say that, in a strange fantasy world, people would try to just do their thing instead of being a general pain in the behind. Unluckily, that hadn't been the case for Takeshi. Maybe that was Aeron's thing? As much as Amelie found the notion amusing, it probably didn't have much to do with the topic at hand.
"It's a pity, honestly. I kinda always wondered why people can't just be nice to others. It isn't that hard."
Then again, maybe others were entertained at doing that kind of things? The brunette frankly couldn't understand, but it probably wasn't a conversation to be had right now.
Ryu's and Ken's own pieces were a breeze of fresh air to her. Idealism of that caliber was something she hadn't heard in a good while. It was nice, in a sense; even if... a little naïve, maybe? Maybe she felt like being pessimistic.
"Eh, it's fine. Trying to think rationally every time is boring, anyway. I'm not sure why, but gut feelings tend to be accurate more than I'd like to admit. I honestly hope you guys can find your way and recover your memories! I'm not sure why, but most of the time when others have that kind of amnesia, it's because they've forgotten about something pretty important!"
But even then, they looked like they had a plan ahead of them. That was commendable on its own right, but wasn't it a bit... hurried? Eh, maybe she was worrying needlessly. Considering she hadn't been in the Digital World even once... "That sounds like a good idea. I'm sure you'll be able to get those if you try hard enough." And awkward pause ensued, mostly due to, well... "Excuse the ignorance but... what are those Digimentals for? I assume they're a power up of sorts, maybe? They sound like they are important."

What Amelie said was beautiful, but a little too pure. Among the trio Ryu shared her opinion, if only there were more people like Amelie and Ryu, then the ideal world that Ryu had invisioned can be created.
"Well that would've been neat, but people aren't like that in the real world no reason to think it will be different in the digital world." What Takeshi said might've been seen as mean, but sadly its the truth and they need to face it.
Amelie then gave them a questionable advice, while Ken supported it Ryu prefered rational thinking. "Well yeah, following your guts can lead to amazing results. But we still need to think about our descions and their consequences. But yeah, thanks I hope so too. Having parts of your memories suck, hopefully we get it back sooner rather than later."
After the awkard moment of silence the gang remembered that not all people know about digimentals are. "Ah, sorry about that. Well to explain it as simply as possible, they are a temporary power ups. They allows to reach either champion level or ultimate. Its not as powerful as natural evolution but it is something. "

It was true, to an extent. The world wasn't changing any time soon, and it would do well to have the mentality that just because there are more direct threats to one's survival in there. Anyhow, best to just dismiss the topic. Enough gloominess for today, right?
"Well. One can never lose the optimism, right? Just thinking that everyone will be mean everywhere won't do much to contribute to a good mood." Or to not think of this world as a trash can. Not something she was very interested in doing at the moment
Maybe she had been misunderstood a bit? Well, it was something that happened a lot, so it wasn't like she didn't mind about it. "I wasn't saying that you should just not care about the consequences. I just said that sometimes, following your heart a bit goes a long way. Unless your heart currently tells you to murder me in cold blood or something. Then it's definitely bad!"
A short giggle was good at telling that she was joking. Even if murdering was totally not permitted! If anything, the explanation that followed was helpful, a bit? If only she knewww. "Champion, and... Ultimate? I see."
Her face was pretty good at conveying she had no idea about what those terms meant.

Takeshi nodded solomonly at Amelie "ofcourse, I was not saying you should lose optimisim. Just saying you need to be a little careful, after all we've met more nice people than bad guys. Which is really good, and sorry did'nt mean to bring dow the mood" he just rubbing the back of his neck, well no need to focus on stuff that does not really matter right now. So Takeshi just opted on taking another sweet from his bag and consuming it, how many did he eat today ? Well its probably too many to count.
"Ah, fair enough. Yes I agree then sometimes your heart can lead you to do something good." Ryu misunderstood Amelie, he thought she was one of those who is willing to jump into the belly of the beast if her heart said so, like a certain Shoutmon he knows. Speaking of that Shoutmon, Ken sighed he was secretly glad that he found someone who know less than he does, Ken folded his arms and lean backwards a little bit, buffing his own chest.
"I see you don't know, digimon have multiple stages that they can acheive each stronger than the one before it. The stage that me and Ryu are right now is known as Rookie. It goes baby then in-training, then rookie, then champion, then ultimate, then mega, then super mega. I know this can be a lot to take in, but do not worry I am the world's best digimon professor around, so if you have any question just ask"

Well, on that he was right. Being an optimist didn't mean she had to be dumb regarding everyone. People with less than noble intentions had existed since humanity's inception, and that was something that wouldn't change from one day to the next.
Wouldn't it be nice if it could, though? "Well, ain't that a relief? At least one of the few constants of this life is that there's essentially more good people than bad people. That's definitely something I appreciate." She waved her hand dismissively at Takeshi's apology, not really feeling the need to hear it. It was a conversation, and if they were afraid of touching sensibilities over stuff like this, she couldn't imagine what would happen if the topic were actually delicate.
Anyhow. It was getting pretty late, wasn't it? Even if she had thoroughly enjoyed the trio's company, the weight of a day's worth of work showed on her face; to say she had seen better days energy wise was an understatement. She wasn't even sure if she was following the conversation anymore. Kinda pitiful, wasn't it?
At least she could say she had a notion of what levels were now. "Oh, I see. So you grow and become stronger and stuff? That's nice. And I guess you want to grow stronger to accomplish your goal? I really hope you can attain it someday."
Or was power a reward on itself? That was a possibility, she guessed.

More good people than bad people ? Sure its good to think that, but is it the case ? Eh, who cares. This is not the time or place to start debated human malice. Takeshi then quickly glances at his watch, man when did it get this late ? Anywho Takeshi should go back home and sleep. "Yeah, I think there are more good people than bad. Because justice will always win, evil people will never prosper. " man what's gotten into Ryu ? His passion for justice is almost out of character for his calm and smart persona.
Ken on the other could be seen yawning "man, its pretty late." He'd cover his mouth as he yawned once again. To think the most active person out of the trio would be the one to get tired first, maybe its because he exerted the most amount of energy ? Who knows.
"actly, we grow stronger in order to acheive our goals. For now our main goal is to retain our memories, and we believe we can find hidden somewhere in the digital and in order to be able to go where we want we have to get stronger." Ryu said with a steadfast determined look on his eyes, he has to solve the mystery of his forgotten memories.
"Anyhow, we can discuss this later. It looks like it gotten pretty late, and I'd to keep you up. Besides I have school tomorrow. I know would you like to trade contact information. " Takeshi stood up and took out his phone, waiting for Amelie's answer.

Color her surprised, the idealistic one would end up being none other than Ryu. An interesting development, even if Amy's tiredness would interfere with her making a remark about it, instead choosing to focus on Ken's words. At least discerning who was the pragmatic one was easy enough. They were a pretty interesting duo, weren't they? She was a bit curious about how their adventures would end up being. "Getting back your memories, huh? Well, that's quite the goal; considering how annoying amnesia can be. I wish you luck! If you persevere, I'm sure you'll end up prevailing even against the odds. I'm sure you'll do great if you put your mind to it."Takeshi, just like Ken, was right about their current situation. Guess that this was the end of their small gathering, even though it had been fun enough! At least for her, it had been. "Sounds good to me! Let's do that."She took a sheet of paper and a pen she had laying around before writing her name and her D-Terminal address. "This should do it." Amy would wait for Takeshi to give his own before smiling and saying "Hope to hear from your exploits soon!"Standing up, she'd accompany him to the exit, waving him off with a smile. Now, to end her day...

Amelie words of encouragement were recived positively both ken and ryu nod firmly "Thanks Amelie, your words mean alot to us. And yes, together we can solve this. But, I hope we get our memories soon rather than later. Amnesia is really annoying. " Ryu chuckled, while he might be joking currently the amnesia was missing with him.
Takeshi forgot about the D-Terminal, it was a better device to use in the digital world. "Oh yeah this is better, let me write it down real quick" Takeshi took the pen and wrote his name and address. "All right, done"
"Alright see you later, hopefully we will be in touch later. But for now, bye"
"See ya later Amy, thanks for the tea" both Ryu and waved goodbye before going back to in training and hopping inside Takeshi's bag, going back home to sleep.
