Miya sat on a bench in the main hall, right next to the boy's locker room. She was busy witting the eighteenth text in the space of five minutes. Nikolai had been in the Locker room for at least forty minutes that she knew of. She had only been getting ready for thirty of those forty, five minutes devoted to waiting, and five for trying to text him. "Come on...where are you?" Miya asked to herself, there was no doubt she was worried, it was just now getting to her. Finally, after another five long minutes, Nikolai came out of the locker room, fully dressed and ready to go for his event, which just happened to be snowboarding. A race to be exact.
"And where have you been?" Miya asked Nikolai, crossing her arms.
"Yeah, there was a mix up. I got the wrong equipment and had to change. Sorry it took so long." Nikolai answered, rubbing the back of his head.
Miya looked him over, Black boots, dark green pants, down jacket, and his regular hat. He had a yellow snowboard under his arm, and a pair of goggles around his neck. Miya was wearing a purple down jacket, a knit cap, black pants, and pink boots. Her hair was tied back into one braided ponytail, so it wouldn't get too far into the way. She was ready for her event, the Ski Jump.
"Well...as long as you're okay, I guess." Miya answered, uncrossing her arms.
"Oh, are you...worried?" Nikolai asked, a small grin appearing on his face. Miya glared at him for a few seconds, and a few people entering the hall stared. Suddenly, Miya turned around, and left the hall, presumably going to her event. Nikolai simply watched her leave, before sighing and falling back down onto the bench.
"Well...that could have gone better." Nikolai said, waiting the the P.A to announce the start of his event.
Miya, on the other hand, had stormed out of the hall, and was heading to her event location early. She wasn't sure why she was angry Nikolai found out, or if she should even be angry he found out. Curse her emotions, and their...toll. She suddenly began running, determined to do her best in the Ski Jump, and then rub it in Nikolai's face. After all, a girl has to have fun every once in a while.
