Mall Shenanigans (Feliciano/Carrie)(COMPLETE!)

Feliciano had managed to make it to the mall without being seen by his brothers, at the moment he was currently hiding behind a trash can. Renaissancemon had watched his human partner in amusement on their way to the mall, he would hide behind random things almost like a spy that was extremely clumsy or bad at his job. This was his partner alright, he was happy that Feliciano was back to his old self, once they had made it to the front doors of the mall, Feli abandoned the huge he was hiding behind and ducked into the mall, a highly amused spirit right behind him.
Feliciano let out a large sigh of relief, finally, they were safe for the time being. The first thing that feli did once inside was walk over to the food court area and collapsed on an open table for two. Renaissancemon chuckled and floated near his human partner "well now all we have to do is wait for lady Carrie and lady Gutsomon" his partner said, Feliciano nodded "ve~ I hope that my brothers didn't catch her" he said with worry, his brothers could really be determined when they wanted. He sighed all they could do at the moment was to wait and hopefully Carrie and her own spirit partner would show up.

Carrie entered the mall with her bag, she'd taken a small detour home to get some money for herself in case she found something she wanted. Entering the mall she spotted Feli hidden behind a potted plant and she snickered to herself. She carefully maneuvered around him, approaching the two from the back. She grabs his shoulder. "Boo!" She shouted playfully.
"I'm sorry, I'm not usually like that, Gotsumon's rubbing off on me I guess... come on, let's see if we can find that sports shop." She grabs his hand and goes to the mall directory, looking over all the stores and locations within. She hums as she looks over everything, frowning. "They've done some renovating since I've been here... I think? Or maybe I don't remember?" She grabs the portable map and begins looking at it and checking to see any landmarks for where they are currently.

Felicano was so busy trying to make sure that he would not be spotted easily that he hadn't notice Carrie approach him from behind. Not until the young lady had grabbed his shoulders and let out a boo, A unmanly yep tore out of Felis mouth and he jumped to the side near his spirit partner. Renaissancemon made a move to steady his human partner, but both seemed to have forgotten that the spirit was....well...a spirt. Feliciano merely went through the spirit and fell with another yelp. Renaissancemon looked down at Feli with sympathy, it looked like the fall had hurt.
Both spirit and human looked back at Carrie when she spoke, Feliciano sighed in relief and focused on slowing down his poor rapidly beating heart. Feli managed to smile and chuckle, he was a bit shaken up and accepted Carrie's help. Once he was standing he glanced around one more time before Carrie grabbed his hand and led him to the Mall map, he merely smiled. Renaissancemon followed, he chuckled as he watched both humans interact with each other.
Feliciano looked at the map as Carrie spoke"ve~, I'm sure we can find our way around" he said with a smile, so far this was the second time he had been to the mall, so he wasn't very familiar with it yet. However, he did just barely remember were the sports store was, he had passed it when he and his friends had come to buy things they needed for college.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry!" She said, worried at his pratfall. She breaths a sigh of relief as he stood back up. "Right, so... um..." she frowned at the map, looking around at the store names; some written in english, others in proper japanese, others just had logos. It really made it annoying to identify where they were and what store they were looking for.
"I... don't think I like it here." She states, annoyed, offering the map to the boy and her spirit. "It'd probably just be a better idea to ask someone... what do you think?" She looked to him.
[That someone should have been fired.] Gostumon chimes in, annoyed. [No wonder it got blown up, imagine what a digimon who can't read human languages would think of this place.]
"Gotsumon! A lot of people got hurt during that!" She shook her head. "I'm sure that digimon have had a harder time being accepted because of it too... that said, that explains why all this place doesn't seem that familiar..." She looked up to the second floor, skimming over the store's names. "Frank's Photos, Jill's Sandwiches... M-Movieland?" She guessed, unsure of the word in English.

Feliciano took the map from Carrie's hands and looked down at it, his partner looked over his shoulder in order to get a good look at the map. Just as he thought, he was able to locate the sports store on the third floor, it was hard to navigate within the mall mostly because of the sheer amount of badly named stores within it. Feliciano smiled at Carrie as she named off some stores on the second floor, "ve, I found the sports store, it's on the second floor~" he chirped with a smile.
Feliciano took her hand and began to lead her to an elevator because he had been so focused on getting to the elevator, that he didn't notice three familar fiugers walking out of a store near them. Renaissancemon had spotted them first but he was not able to warn Feli quick enough. "hey birdy where are you going!?, the awesome me is right here!" that voice caused Feliciano to stop dead in his tracks. The young man slowly turned around in the direction he had heard the very familiar voice, praying that it wasn't who he thought it was. He felt his heart drop, not only had one friend spotted him but also two of his closest friends were with him. One was a short teen with black hair, he had a camera around his neck he looked to be about 18 years of age, the second teen had slicked back blond hair and blue eyes, he looked 18 as well, and last was a white-haired man with red eyes, he looked about 20 years old.

Carrie smiled, thankful someone was able to figure out this weird place. "Now, hopefully there isn't any-" She was cut off by him grabbing her hand. She followed briskly, only fair given how many times she'd done the same to him. They were probably even by now. Before they got to the elevator he stopped and looked rather worried. She turned to look at them, confused.
"More of your brothers?" She asked, pondering why he looked so upset. "They don't seem angry if they are." She waved to them, giving a confused smile.
[...That guy has a leaf on his head.] Gotsumon said, confused. [Is that a japanese thing or...?]
"I don't know." Carrie admitted. "Maybe he just doesn't know it's there?"
[Should we tell him or...?]
"Let's see if he notices." She turned to Feli, confused. "...Are you gonna be this scared when you see me passing on the streets?"

Feliciano opened his mouth to reply to Carrie, however, he never got the chance to because his friends had already reached them. Carrie was right, however, the didn't look angry or worried, maybe if they played it cool they could get away with it. The white-haired man was the first to speak out, beating the other two "whats this! birdy actually had the guts to ask someone out" he said with a smirk, his voice had a strong German accent to it. The blond teen glared at the man and sighed in disappointment "sorry about mien Bruder, he can be very stupid sometimes" the blond haired teen said, his voice also had a German accent. The white-haired man looked at his little brother with a hurt expression "west! you wound me" he said dramatically, the blond teen merely rolled his eyes.
This time the black haired teen spoke up"Hello it's nice to meet another friend of Feliciano, my name is kiku, the blond teen is Ludwig and the white-haired man is Gilbert" he said politely as he introduced each of them. Feliciano lets go of Carrie's hand and laughed sheepishly, "ve~, Carries a friend Gilbert" he said. He then turned to Carrie and smiled shakily "Kiku and Ludwig go to college with me, we've been friends ever since elementary school". Renaissancemon sighed, this was going to be cutting it close, but so far it seems that felis brothers hadn't alerted then of the teen's odd behavior yet "he's nerves, Lady Carrie, the last thing he needs is for them to start getting suspicious of him too" the spirit explained politely

"Catherine, but everyone calls me Carrie." She bowed to each of them, smiling. "We're going to the sports store, Feli's getting into skating and... well, most of his gear got broken up." She explained for Feliciano, gently rubbing his shoulder. "It kept him safe for the most part though, so I guess a few thousand yen isn't that much, right?" She blushed at the mention of dating, shaking her head. "No, no, I'm just a friend! I met him today after his first run, i-isn't that right?" She asked Feli. If the boys were looking close they might notice one of her eyes seemed to have a yellower tone than the other, Gotsumon looking to see what Carrie sees in more detail.
[What's wrong with their eyes?] Gotsumon asked, concerned. [They look... empty or possessed or... something.]
"Maybe they're foreign?" Carrie whispered to herself.

Feliciano nodded yes rapidly after hearing Carrie "si! we are only friends!" he said with a smile. Gilbert was about to retort, but after hearing what Carrie had said about feliciano and her going to a sports store, even if it was just to get a skateboard. All three were shocked, they stared at Carrie as if she spoke in a different language, they then turned to feli with questioning looks, feli began to sweat. kiku was the only one to notice the slight gold spark in Carrie's eyes, but he didn't say anything because he felt that it would be rude of him.
Feliciano stared back at Ludwig and Gilbert unsure what to say or do"ummmmmmmm..." he gulped and smiled "yup I was thinking maybe I could try something new" he said in a cheery voice. However when he looked into his blond friend's sky blue eyes, he was immediately filled with guilt, there was a slight touch of hurt in his eyes. Feliciano's smile slightly fell a bit. In all of his worry and stress, he had forgotten about a promise he had made with his blond friend. Renaissancemon merely watched silently, there was really nothing he could do at this point.

Everyone went silent, Carrie did too. She was unsure what to do next. Did she say something wrong? She didn't know any of these people, and Feli seemed bothered by something. "I uh... maybe we should go?" She suggested, the feelings of awkwardness creeping over her. Before she could say anything else, Gotsumon took over, her eyes turning fully yellow. She grabbed the leaf from the guy's hair and tossed it aside.
"So, you guys go to the college too?" Gotsumon's gravelly voice came from Carrie's mouth. "We- I've never seen you around. What's your majors? Or are you some of those kids who just never left the dorm?" The silent judging of several strangers had gotten to her. She was a war vet, she didn't need some punk teens giving her or Carrie crap. "Come on Felis, you gonna stand there and be awkward or you gonna tell me why everyone's so mad about you getting some exercise?"

Just when the two Germans were going to question Feliciano farther, they were surprised to see a change in Carrie, kiku slightly narrowed his eyes, something was really up with the girl and felis behavior. However, he didn't say anything and instead smiled at the young lady and their dear friend " we aren't angry that our friend chooses to exercise, it just surprised us" kiku explained drawing a hum of agreement from the slightly still shocked red-eyed German and a thoughtful hum from the blue-eyed German.
Gilbert was so shocked about Felis choice that he hadn't noticed the leaf that Gutsomon had taken out of his hair. "I'm majoring in business" Kiku replied with a gentle smile. Ludwig spoke up next "me and my Bruder haven't really chosen our major yet" Ludwig responded for himself and his brother since his brother at the moment looked like he wasn't able to respond. Feliciano turned to Carrie after being surprised by her change of demeanor, however one glance at her eyes feli realized that Gatsumon had taken control of Carrie. He chuckled nervously and faced her to answer her question "w-well you see, i was never one to excise, um I would always avoid it at all costs~".

"Oh, you're one of those eat everything and never get fat kids, huh? Trust me, that metabolism isn't gonna hold up." Gotsumon paused, realizing she was still "playing" Carrie. "It happened to my uncle." She explained. In reality she knew some Gabumon who blew up after years of gorging and couldn't so much as look at a cookie without gaining 5 pounds afterwards, but regardless. "Right, no majors and a businessman to be. W-I am working in chemistry right now, you know making liquids, gases, plasmas, things like that." She had only picked up a handful of terms from Carrie's two years study, she never cared that much.
"Anyways, his skateboarding's supposed to be a secret. He wanted to do something without his brothers' help to uh... surprise them." She improvised again, hoping to god she wasn't ruining this poor guy's character. "So he's kept the whole thing uh... under wraps."

Kiku nodded accepting her major, but the way she had described her major started to make him suspicious. Again he didn't say anything and smiled "that's a very hard major, I hope you succeed Carrie-chan". Ludwig nodded, however, something else didn't seem right, Feli was going to surprise his brothers with getting a skateboard. First of all for as long as Ludwig had known Feli he never kept secrets from his brothers, even if it was a surprise Feli would always tell them what was up.
"ah, I see" the German said as he glanced at his Italian friend. Feliciano didn't meet Ludwig's eyes, he was whistling innocently and looking around. Before any of them could question Feliciano further or his new friends he began to back away "w-well we better go to the store before it gets full~, we don't want to stand in long lines al day now do we?" he said with a smile.

"Yeah, you go do that." Gotsumon said, nodding and grabbing the boy's arm. "Come on Fel, I need to get home and work on some studying. And Twin Peaks is on." She really didn't like missing her shows, even if they were reruns. "See you later uh... Gil, Kiku, and Ludwig." She pressed the elevator button and began waiting, really hoping another conversation with them wouldn't be following from them if it didn't she'd definately start one of her own the second the three were out of earshot. "...You're kind of a pushover, kid." Gotsumon said, turning to look at him. "You went with our ideas so quickly and so effortlessly. I'm a bit worried if I gave you a weapon and told you to do something illegal it'd only take twenty bucks to make you do it."
"Gotsumon! He's just a bit... delicate. I'm sure he's not like that. Besides it was his choice, he doesn't have to go skating if he doesn't want to. He can just tell his brothers he panicked and we made something up."
"And where does that leave the bruises and scrapes? If he doesn't stick with the plan he'll be back at square one, plus people worrying about who we are." The two turned to him, one of her eyes were Gotsumon's yellow while the other was Carrie's usual color.

Feliciano allowed himself to be pulled away by the gutsomon, using his free hand he waved bye to his friends as they entered the elevator. As the doors closed his friends waved back still looking concerned, but they made no move to stop the elevator. When the doors closed he slumped against the wall with a relieved sigh, his spirit partner was floating next to him, he seemed relieved as well. Feli was content to ride the elevator in silence however it seemed that Gutsomon had other ideas. Turing his attention back to the spirit in control of Carrie's body. Feliciano listened to the others "concerns" about his immediate agreement to their plan without a fight and not only that but she even accused him of going as low as to do something illegal for money.
Anger bubbled within him, but he managed to keep himself from snapping at the other, after all, it wasn't fair to take out his anger on someone else."ok first of all the reason I went along with Carries Idea was because at the time I didn't have any other ideas, I'm useless in any other sport! other then Fencing. secondly, I would much rather cut out my kidney and sell it online then doing something illegal espically for money, I've changed a lot after meeting Renaissancemon, its thanks to him that I'm not as bad as I used to be. If you're saying that I'm that low then your also insulting my partner and I will not stand for that, I am many things Gutsomon but I'm not scum" The Italian hissed out seething. It was then that the elevator dinged and its doors open, he promptly got out and began to walk in the direction of the sports store.
Renaissancemon with his head down followed his partner his Tri-corner hat shadowing his eyes from view.
(Angry Feli is scary XD)
