Not a Kid You Should Mess With (Elsie/Evie)

Udagawa back street... this is on the western Shibuya. Why going so far just for a little air? Even Reki himself have no idea. Perhaps, his heart is pulled by the discord that often happened here. It's just seven at the evening, but already it smelled so foul.
My kind of place, his inner mental self noted. Fight and overall discord, the kind of stinky, hideous darkness that hid the corruption. Even when the light is bright, it's also the kind that offers disgusting worldly pleasure. Yet he doesn't hate it. Why should he? He felt like he's born in this sort of situation, then he got tossed to orphanage because his legs, legs that now probably stronger than a soccer athlete's.
"Meh, I guess this is where they said where the whores go, huh?"
The red haired boy in thick jersey somehow stopped when he felt three adults following him. What, he doesn't even entered the scarier part of the backstreets, but somehow he's still got followed by thugs? Haa...
He quickly finished his takoyaki that he brought before he gone here... The rest of his stuff? They're just cup noodles, so it should be fine, right?
The thugs grinning rather disturbingly at the boy, but instead of looking scared, he grins back. There's a difference in their grin. The three grins because they thought he's an easy prey, but the boy grins because they're his first prey after a while...

This certainly wasn't the type of place for children! Yet, Elsie and Evie were never the type to stay places where they actually fit in! Instead, the duo found themselves in front of a table, where a man stood with dice. After having watched a few games, the girls had moved to place their own bets. Several cups lined the table, displaying an awfully stereotypical game. A coin was displayed on the table, before being covered by one of the cups, as the man behind the booth began to rapidly shuffle the cups around.
Finally, as they came to a stop, one of the girls took a moment to chime, "This is tough." Looking pensively to her sister, she turned to the dealer, "and we can't touch the cups at all?"
Of course, that would be cheating! And, as the man was informing her of such, the well-groomed sister shifted, accidentally bumping the table. Quickly jerking to steady the booth, before it would tip over, the teen grabbed the nearest cup to keep it in its proper position! "Oh! Oh! I'm sorry!" Keeping a hand on the top of the cup, the girl looked down at it, uncomfortably. "I guess we're picking this one, since I grabbed it."
Finally retracting her hand, the dealer chimed a, "wr--" as he lifted the cup, only to find a coin beneath it. Scowl quickly formed across his face, as he subconsciously checked his pocket. "What?"
With a small squeal between the girls, they gathered some of their winnings and quickly left the frustrated con-man at his table. Once out of earshot, Elsie broke into a grin. "I can't believe that actually worked."
"I thought he was going to notice," the blunt-haired sister commented, quietly. "I slid the cup a little too far off the table when I touched it."
"If he did, he was awfully nice about it," the sibling shrugged, as they continued on their way. But, soon, Elsie felt a pull on her sleeve. "Hmm?" With Elsie giving a point to the side, Evie linked arms with her. "Isn't that a kid?" He looked smaller than them, even! "What's he doing in a place like this?"
Soon, Evie would add another observation, watching the thugs that had clearly noticed the redhead as well. "And, with company like that." At least the twins had gone unnoticed by the three weirdos! But, neither were really sure what to do in a situation like this!

Still not noticing the girls, the boys led them to tighter alley, obviously he has known beforehand that this one would lead to dead end. The thugs grin getting even more wicked, but Reki on the other hand---suddenly dashed to the front thug, punching his stomach! The hit was definitely unexpected. The poor guy doubled over while his friends too shocked, but Reki isn't the type that would easily satisfied with this. The moment the head lowered, he did a jumping knee kick to the thug's face, definitely breaking his nose. Wild grin plastered on his face.
One of the thug quickly grabbed his friend away, but it was too late. The guy has fainted. The situation changed quickly from three to one to two to one.
"You!"
A wild swing from the thug. The boy grins wider. His height, which kinda about at the thug's chest level made it easier for him to dodge. Still, he was naive. After a few moment the guy noticed this and instead switching to kicks. The thug managed to kick him squarely on his cheek. Reki felt the pain for the first time and for him, it's the time to be alive!
He ignored the pain and kicked the leg that supported the thug, flooring him. The boy wildly mounted the thug, punching him, but the other thug quickly kicked him, sending him flying several feet away. The boy managed to land on his feet though.
"That kid... it's almost we're fighting a wild beast!"
Reki meanwhile just grinned wider--but now that he have a room to breathe, he saw the girls... His expression grow complicated. Why are there girls in here? They can't be older than h---
A fist to his face suddenly snapped his attention back to the brawl. Damn, it hurts! He countered the punch with a kick of his own, but this time it got parried...

While both siblings seemed interested in what was beginning to unfold, one seemed far less interested in staying, than the other. Keeping arms linked, Evie gave a tug backwards. "We should go," she murmured, softly. "We can call the police once we're out of sight." The duo had already won something once today! They didn't need to lose something, either! Like their teeth! Or their winnings!
"Do you think the police actually care?" Spreading her feet a little, the younger twin steadied herself to avoid being yanked away. "Plus, maybe we can help him out after he gets the crap beaten out of him."
"Not if they pick us next!" Evie hissed, under her breath, while making another tug. While this made her sister pull back slightly, it still wasn't enough to drag her away from the view.
Especially when this kid was turning tables! "What? No way! If you're gonna leave, bring back some popcorn. This is like a show." Who would have thought this kid was going to actually beat up someone? It was better than any movie they were going to be able to pay for! This was real life!
Right?
Meanwhile, Evie began shuffling to grab her Infini-Store. "We don't have popcorn booths around here. Why don't we go see a real movie, instead?"
Maybe, that would have worked. If this strange boy hadn't gone crazy! But, now that they had been noticed, and the stranger had taken a decent punch, Elsie huffed. Almost as if she were at a sport's game, the girl jolted forward, only to be yanked back into place by her sibling. "Beat them up, kid!"
"You don't know if he's going to do that to you next, either, Sister," Evie warned, having given up on digging out anything of use, so that she could keep her sibling from getting herself hurt. This was one of those times that the blonde was not proud of her twin!

Huh, what is this, peanut gallery? Well, whatever, someone liked the show, that's good enough for him. It kinda pumped him up to be honest, but not like he would answer the cheer. Reki wiped off the blood from his chapped lips, no thanks to these thugs. The boy just grinned. Yes, this is how to feel alive, this is how to feel that he's liberated. The boy once again dashed at the nearest thug, one that this time ready and about to kick him, but the boy used his superior strength to grab at his ankle and pushed him. The thug lost his balance and fell on his butt, but the boy isn't letting his guard down. He goes at the other thug who aimed a batting stick at him, only to miss and hit his friend instead.
"So you guys bring weapons, huh..."
He punched the gut of the third thug, all while the second one is downed for real. Before long, he completely made short work of the two. He lifted the last one by his collar. The guy obviously unconscious. He instead rummaged for their wallet and takes all the money inside. Whew, a fortune. Reki seem to be satisfied with this win---until he noticed that the first one with broken nose isn't there at all. He saw them grabbing Elsie.
"STOP RIGHT THERE, OR THIS GIRL WILL GET IT!"
"...Hoo boy, that's a dirty trick there," he muttered. Still, he's not in mood to get his 'first fans' on the way of the danger, so he just raise his hands in surrender.

Elsie seemed plenty pleased with the stranger upping his game. It had to be due to her encouragement! Right? Right. It was definitely that! "See? He just needed some motivation!"
Motivation probably wasn't becoming a hostage, though. Which meant that the teen was doing a really bad job at it! Letting out an irritated squeak, the girl attempted to squirm free, while her sibling reluctantly let go of her arm."Let me go!" Oh, what a stereotypical request! Especially considering it was one that never really worked out for anyone in these situations!
Evie took the moment to take several steps back, not entirely sure how to handle the situation. Instead, she moved to pull her cell phone out from her pocket. Flicking to the camera app, the blonde shifted to take a picture of the thug, rather than physically helping out her sibling. Well. At least if something bad happened, they could have the face of a potential attacker, right?
"Hey, Boy?" Keeping her voice soft, the more modest-looking twin glanced toward the stranger. It was amazing how calm she could seem, despite her best friend being at risk! "You don't look like a quitter." But, Evie hadn't seen this boy before today. So, what would she know? Maybe, he really was! "And Els can handle a few bruises. So, don't forfeit." Okay, so maybe Elsie wouldn't want her twin to add in the part about getting hurt. But, whatever. Evie would much rather the kid win, at this point, in some sort of revenge for grabbing the wrong person. And, there was no doubt that he had a better chance at succeeding than Evie did!
Nor her captive sister, for that matter. Elsie made a point to at least attempt to kick the man that had grabbed her. Surely, it would just enrage him, but maybe it could do some good!

You know, being slightly drunk, and easily enraged, plus blackmail material doesn't sit well with the guy... and that already the chance that Reki is waiting for. The man incoherently screamed something, and let go of Elsie, making a run to Evie, but hey, Reki is faster. With a well timed precision, he did a flying kick to the guy and knocked him out with several punches. Of course he got the loot for the trouble too.
"Well, I'm not a quitter indeed," he answered finally, having done with looting all three thugs. "Here," he tossed about five thousand yen to Evie, then another to Elsie. "My thanks for giving me a chance to beat them up."
He doesn't really need money anyway. Money felt like just some loots to him at the moment. It's nice to have some, but it's more to trophies of his winning, so he's fine sharing even most of it.
"You ladies are odd, sticking to place like this... I thought you were like their compatriot or what, but to have them act like that to you... looks like I was wrong. What are you doing in here?"

It was a little surprising how quickly the thug was willing to let go, when at risk of someone spreading his face to the police. Or anyone else, for that matter! And, despite shifting a foot behind her, Evie didn't seem to be in much of a hurry to move!
Of course, why would she be, when she could see someone coming to her aid?
With Elsie brushing herself off a little, she began to inch toward her sibling, allowing plenty of space for the redhead boy to do as he pleased with his victims. But, both were pleasantly surprised to catch a bit of cash out of this! "In all fairness, I think you were gonna beat them up either way," the teen felt the need to comment. "But, we won't say no to the money either. So, thanks."
"Agreed," came a small chime from the other sister.
Looting people was probably rude. And illegal. But, neither sibling seemed too bothered by it. Really, they didn't need the money either! It was always nice to have, however. And, it wasn't like a group of thugs would report any of them to the police. Heck, the police probably wouldn't even believe a story about a boy beating them all up like that!
Giving a smile, the green-eyed sister commented, "we like to call it eccentric." It still meant odd. They were definitely not normal!
"It seemed like a fun idea. And, we were curious," the red-eyed twin added. "A lot of the kids at school said it was sketchy. And, we're new around here. Figured we'd see for ourselves." What awful logic! It was a wonder the twins were alive, with rationalization like that! How did they even make it to fifteen?
Not that Evie was going to miss an opportunity to spin this back onto the stranger! "We could ask the same of you," she began, still smiling. Curiosity laced her tone, failing at any subtlety. Good thing she didn't need to pretend she wasn't interested! "What brings you to this place?"

"Looks like you trust a kid like me more than you should... you guys really are weird." Not that he would mind, but whatever. Anyway, they took the money quite gratefully, another plus points. It makes it less complicated for him. "Good, well you guys helped me dealing the blow to the last guy, so I think it'll be good to share the loots. I'm sure you guys need money more than I do anyway, no matter how well off you are. Money to me are pretty much just trophies."
That's a weird way to say it, that's for sure. Pot, met kettle? He's as weird as they are, although he have yet noticed it!
"Eccentric, odd, weird, whatever. Well, then again I guess foreigners probably get some excitement from situation like this, huh?"
Normally, he would have ignored them, or try to mug them, but nah, they're too amusing for him, especially with that their no-reservation. Something just felt very resonating with him, something that made him loosening up quickly.
"Hmm, what am I doing here? Looking for trouble, obviously. Does that sounds odd? But I guess I only can feel alive when I'm out there, fighting, you know. It felt like... all that adrenaline rushing in your system, nothing can top that other than jumping from building to building. The feeling when you plummet to the ground but land on your two feet, whew, that's just really the time to feel alive!"
An adrenaline junkie, definitely...
"But I guess you girls don't get that, huh? It's OK, it would save you hospital bills."

Elsie would roll her eyes at the stranger's comment about trusting him, while Evie's polite smile only widened slightly. Being twins, hearing that they were weird really wasn't that strange. Especially considering Evie had already corrected him on what their preference for the word was! Either way, did they really need the money? They had just scammed a scammer a few minutes ago! "Well," Elsie trailed off, almost awkwardly.
"Trophies are nice," Evie commented, more in an analytical tone rather than an excited one. "Though, why would you think we need it more than you?" Either this would imply that the boy was incredibly rich, or incredibly homeless! What other excuse could he have for having no interest in the funds obtained?
Though, hearing the foreigners part, the twins exchanged glances. Now, Elsie was smiling more widely, and a blush was forming across Evie's face. "D'you think it's just 'cause we're not from around here?" While this would have sounded more innocent and curious if it had come from Evie, these words were almost jokingly thrown from the red-eyed sister's mouth. It sounded far more obvious, when coming from Elsie, that the duo probably weren't as innocent as they came off!
Subconsciously, lips twitched into a wider smile, as Evie listened to the explanation for the stranger's presence. Almost immediately upon noticing the glint in her eye, her sister blurted out a stern, "no," in her sibling's direction. Blue eyes widened at being called out, as the blush furthered across her cheeks. There was no way Elsie was going to explain to their father that Evie had broken a leg or something from trying to jump buildings!
"I-I wasn't going to actually..." the teen stammered, while glancing away. So busted. Either way, they'd received all the answers to anything they'd asked so far! So, Evie was going to target that, instead of think of excuses as to why she had been imagining building-hopping! "We don't think that's odd," she was quick to comment, leaving behind her prior embarrassment.
Placing a hand on her hip, the wild-haired sibling gave a nod. "That kind of thing can be fun. I mean, if it makes you feel alive, y'know?" But, how presumptuous! Just because they couldn't fight off adults, didn't mean they weren't a handful! "We don't really worry about hospital bills," the red-eyed girl commented, with a shrug.
"Papa's a doctor," Evie openly stated. Oh, yes, tell a trouble-maker, in the backstreets, that daddy is a doctor! That's safe! "We just go to him when we get hurt."
"Vater," Elsie attempted to correct.
Only to receive, "wrong language. And, no. He's Papa," as the retort.
This warranted a high-pitched groan from the slightly younger twin. "Whatever. Aren't you supposed to be the grammatical-political-nerdy-correct one?"
"I was correct. When I informed you that you used the wrong language." Well then!
"Daddy's girl," Elsie let out a huff, while dismissing the topic. There really was no winning here! Change of subject! Back to focus on the stranger! "Anyway! We're being rude!" Weren't they usually rude? "I'm Elsie, and that's Evie. You have a name?"

Why? That's a nice question, he guess he should think more before answering. With a little ummm and a hand on his chin, Reki finally answered. "Let's just say that I'm not really responsible for any bills? Foods always came whenever I requested it. Anything I want isn't an issue. I'm not picky either, so if I really want to get something, my... hmmm, how to explain him... I guess caretaker... will handle that. I'm not allowed to go out of the country, but this alone is enough, I guess."
Those words though, sounded like they're problem kids like him. Reki's grin grows wider. "Aaaha, so not really goody two shoes are we? Fine with me, I like daring girls. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone, if you don't tell anyone that is. How about that? Are we even?"
Then again, there's a glint from the girl that he thought was the more innocent of the two! "...Hee..." but a sharp 'no' has made that thought gone from the girl. Ah, well. He won't mind to show her some, without getting her bone broken of course, but with no reason to evolve in this place, he won't do it. He know that his caretaker is stern enough to give him more than a simple punishment if he were to be caught by authorities for being a half Digimon.
"Don't think that's odd cuz you want to try doing that, huh?" he asked, grinning again. This girl is taller than him... but he guess give him a year or two, then he'll probably be taller than her. He approached Evie and grinned. "Say, what about a date and I'll show you how it's done?" Of course this is just a teasing. He's not going about it for real. "You looks like you weight about...what, fourty kilo? fifty? Sounds light enough to be carried by one arm. Even if I looks this short, I'm strong, you know? Wanna try?"
Then again, there's probably no need to prove it, especially when back then he did lift an adult with one arm!
Huh, from the information from Elsie, he's told that their father is a doctor--albeit the twins apparently fighting how to call him. Well, one is papa's girl, another seem less closer?
"Name? Reki. Nice to meet ya girls."

Caretaker, huh? That seemed like an odd word choice! Either way, the twins weren't ones to judge. Elsie let out a little, "huh!" as she processed, while Evie simply kept a tight-lipped smile. It was a good enough reason to find money less than important, though! The girls were at a similar point in their lives, after all. Their father took care of them quite well! Though, neither would argue having a little extra money to play with, without needing to ask for it! "We're not allowed to leave the country either," the red-eyed teen hummed. "Kind of comes with the 'being a minor' thing."
After all, wouldn't they be considered runaways if they... well. Ran away? Considering neither parent would be very happy if the children left a country without their permission, it would be for the best not to attempt anything!
Elsie's own smile widened, mischievously, at the idea that the duo wasn't as innocent as they appeared. "We're really good at keeping secrets," she commented, tilting her head ever-so-slightly. Then again, that probably came with the twin territory! As long as both girls had the secret, it was easy to keep! There was nobody else important enough to share with, anyway, after all!
Was it odd that Evie was interested in building-hopping? To her, not really! A curious expression fell over her face, partially pondering the proper answer. And, another part was itching to hear where the boy may have been going with this! Wait, a date? Well, that was unexpected!
But, rather than recoil as some prim-and-proper girls may have, Evie's lips parted slightly, as her smile widened. Was she legitimately considering it? No sounds escaped her mouth, but blue eyes glittered with obvious interest. In a date, itself? Or in seeing what this person was actually capable of doing? Could he actually entertain her as well as he was thinking?
Just as she was about to speak, another stern, "no" sliced through the air. Pink-tinted cheeks puffed with air, as Evie's smile instantly disappeared, and a small glare was shot to her sister. It wasn't really spiteful. But, jeez, way to ruin her fun!
"You're good at weight-guessing," the blonde stated, failing to provide a proper answer to the joke-date. What would he have done, if Evie had been given the opportunity to actually accept? Now, she'd never know! Would he have squirmed and attempted to get himself out of the date? Or, proven to her that he could legitimately lift her with one arm? Maybe, the boy should work a a carnival. He'd put regular carnies to shame!
Not that it would be any surprise if he could, considering she'd watched his fight!
Either way, the girls had a name to match with this boy's face now! "Definitely nice to meet you. You put on quite a show, with those guys." Leave it to Elsie to focus on that!
Evie gave a small nod, twisting a few strands of hair around her index finger. "Indeed," she agreed, seeming to step back into the more modest role. Though, it was debatable on how long that would last! Though, one thing would always remain consistent, regardless of how Evie acted! Curiosity! "Do you live around here?"

Hmmm? What is this, with how her smile widened slightly, yet immediately shrunk after her sister's admonishing yet again, Reki got even more interested at Evie. Almost immediately, he inches closer to the taller, older girl--the older one of the two that is. "Hee, what's that, interested? Sorry there Elsie," he turned his head momentarily at the other sister "but I happened to ask your cute sister here-- don't get me wrong, but you're also cute. She's seem interested, so why not let her do what she want?" now he returned his focus at the other girl. "Now don't worry, it'll be safe. Nothing dangerous like what your sister think, you see?"
As if to prove his words, the younger boy lifted the girl up, smiling cheekily. "As light as I thought, yeah, there won't be any problem like this, mm?"
Normally, people would lift someone on their waist, but Reki lifted Evie on her leg instead. His cockiness just sounded like a challenge to make this harder for him. Though, he gently lowered her down to the ground again, satisfied that he already proven his strength directly.
"Not really... Where I live, huh... well, somewhere rather far, I guess? I can't tell, gotta ask my caretaker first. Whoops, speaking of that, guess this is rather late. Better go back home before those SPGs came looking for me... But hey..."
He tugged Evie's hand, a bit strongly this time, enough to pull her to his height and kissed her cheek. "...The date offer still stand! Don't listen to your sister that it's a bad idea! It'll be fun, promise!"
And so, the boy cheekily ran away from that place. Secretly, he slipped a cellphone number to the older of the two, looking absolutely pleased with himself.
