The coliseum was fully booked out it seemed. The stands were filled with hundreds of cheering digimon, as well as humans visiting from Earth. The air was absolutely electric, the skies above were clear with only a few clouds, and the midday sun was high over them. "Welcome back, sports fans!" a brooklyn accented voice called through the coliseum. Sitting in their commentary booth, Bellamy the Impmon and Luke the Elecmon were close to their microphones, ready to announce the match. "The signup's closed and we're ready to rumble!""That's right, Bells, and our next match is the only one so far without a human involved! From the East Stand we have Ban the Leomon!""And from our West Stand, fellow PROFIT member Cion the Sagitamon!" Bellamy announced. "When both teams are ready, the match will begin!"
Rules are as follows. 1. Post within a week of it being your turn, otherwise you will concede the match to the other player. 2. Do not kill your opponent, aim to knock them out. 3. No digivolving beyond Champion, as that is the highest level that Ban can currently go. 4. This match is non-canon, so don't worry about where this is in your characters' stories. 5. Please don't attack on your first post. This post is meant for introductions. You may begin the fight on your 2nd post. I have flipped a coin, and it will seem Ban has the first post. Ban stepped into the ring, staring at the crowd. He disliked seeing combat as entertainment, like in a tournament, but he did need to research the structure of a tournament, for his own reasons, explaining his entry. He closed his eyes, removing the crowd from his perception, and focusing his senses on the other digimon, excluding her from everything else. He opened his eyes, training his steel gaze on his opponent. He cranked his shoulders and rolled his head around, popping his joints into place. Despite his champion level, his aura and behavior indicated nothing but experience and a warrior's spirit. He approached his opponent, until he was hardly a meter away from her. He stood, stiffly, for a moment, before bowing to her, in respect, before he rose, and extended his bulky hand to shake, "Let us fight with all our might and wisdom." He offered, his eyes betraying his composure, revealing a burning fire within his spirit.
Meanwhile, Double D, the V-Elecmon sat in the crowd, watching the two stare each other down, before his ears perked up at the name "PROFIT", stated by the announcer, that sounded important, but who knows what it was. Well, he didn't really care, in all honesty, he was more irritated by the fact that Ban had taken part in the tournament, despite him previously saying combat was not a game. He thought he was missing some valuable training. Regardless, his old man can't even think of losing after passing up his chance.

Cion already stood on her own side of the arena, beholding the hundreds of spectators with a shy grin. It had been centuries since she last had fought in a Colosseum for honor, glory and cash, hence she was a little nervous. Yet it was not only stage fright which bothered her, but also the weak form she found herself him. Having attained trust in the power and versatility of her ascended forms, it felt odd to be a Champion once more. Alas her opponent was not capable of digivolving further, which at least granted her the possibility of being better attuned with her vessel than him.
And as delightful as Bellamy's and Luke's announcements were, bringing a brief smile to the Sagitamon's muzzle, her joy did not linger for long. She knew who, or better what her adversary was, and it was honestly alarming. Inexperienced or not, a Leomon was a formidable brawler, and the silver digimon was neither a CQC-fighter nor a soloist. She was a supporter and disruptor in nature, which meant she had an inherent disadvantage when it came to dealing significant damage in a short amount of time - unlike the leonine combatant standing on the other side of the arena.
Gulping and sighing quietly, she was ready to face her fate regardless. Walking towards the middle of their small battlefield just like the Leomon, she remained completely composed. After all, she was not in danger, and he at least had proper manners to show. Courteously bowing to him as well, Cion gladly took his bulky paw to shake, looking deep into his bestial navy blue eyes with her own golden ones. "Let us." She responded approvingly, knowing all too well that wisdom was more of the essence in this clash for her than brute strength.
Understanding that he was going to be an unrelenting warrior she had to surpass, she let go off the cat of prey and moved to the proper spot for the first round of the tournament to commence betimes. Her paws blazed in a white light that shattered after a few seconds, revealing the elegant frame of a prismatic, crystalline longbow with aureate embellishments. It was likely this moment that her opponent grasped that she was a pseudo-marksman, and that her abilities certainly suited this style of combat. As for him... she was not too sure what else to expect but anime-esque martial arts.
Physical might was in his favor, but perhaps the experience of a thousand years of existence spanning several lives granted her enough smartness for her nimble body to outperform him. If not... well, there was not much at stake. This entire event was already bringing good reputation to P.R.O.F.I.T. and she was not dependent on the small reward as a member of the very same wealthy organization. This was going to be austere fun, so why not enjoy it? At last she was not one of pride... though that did not mean she would not give Leomon the most arduous exasperation of his life, and the audience a show for the ages.

He was surprised by the wisdom that stared back up at him when he greeted his foe, he could tell she was already analyzing him, and her response of few words told him she was not one who would fall for simple tricks and the like. He turned and walked to his side, ignoring the audience as he turned to face her, finally shifting from his stiff standing position, as he put one foot behind him, holding out one of his arms in front of him, while the other reached back and gripped the hilt of his blade.
It seemed his foe was an archer, that gave her the ranged advantage. That, as well as her smaller form meant that she could easily hang back and evade his ranged attacks, while peppering him with her own. He felt it was safe to assume she would prefer volleys of arrows then charged and powerful ones, especially in a fight where her movement is the key to survival. He also decided it was safe to assume she was physically inferior to his form, and if he could close the distance, this battle could be over quickly. Unfortunately, he had no clue what kind of weapons she had available to her disposal, and the mere appearance of his form gave away what kind of combat style he preferred, again giving her the advantage, this time in strategy.
He frowned, he had no stakes in a tournament like this, but he wasn't willing to back down when he has a clear chance of success. "Here I come!" He yelled, giving clear notification that the battle had begun, as he started running towards her, maintaining his unyielding glare, as he then leaped into the air, and flew down, aiming to crush her with a heel slam from above, "Crushing Kick!" He yelled, grabbing the hilt of his blade as he fell. He fully expected this attack to miss, as it's purpose was to judge her physical and reaction speeds, and he was preparing to parry any counterattack with his blade, after his kick would leave him momentarily immobile while he recovered.

The idea that the Leomon was analyzing the Sagitamon as well was not one she liked, yet it was most likely the case regardless. After all, her opponent was a natural warrior, bearing both prowess and inherent combat wisdom at his disposal. if faced with a marksman, he probably avoided utilizing his inferior ranged attacks and instead focused on rushing the adversary relentlessly with great speed and ferocity. Impeding an archer's aim and mobility - that's what the vulpine digimon would do if she was bound to the role of the feline one.
A single misconduct, or an error in judgment, certainly spelt the end to her secondary career as a competitor. Nevertheless, a battle between might and mind intrigued the sentinel of light, her fingers almost twitching from anticipation. And as the wildcat vociferously announced his onset, she knew it was time to get serious. With narrowed eyes, Cion patiently observed how Leomon rushed towards her as she had expected. Unmovingly, she watched as he came closer fast, though she wished to first comprehend what her enemy was going for before acting herself.
Then he finally revealed what his impetus was by making a formidable leap towards the sky only to dash downwards in an attempt to crush her with his leg and weight. The Sagitamon had honestly anticipating something that involved many more punches, but this situation suited her just fine as well. The way the fighter granted her opportunities to counter were plenty... "Way too plenty..." She thought, refusing to believe that a born combatant was that reckless and downright naive without a hidden agenda. The sole question was what it could possibly be.
Did he want her to dodge so he could follow up with a more powerful ability while she was off-balance? Or maybe he had powers at his disposal to nullify her attempts to shoot him out of the sky? Having a mere second to think about it, it became clear that she had to do something about the ambush lest she fail in the first few moments of the tournament. There was a good chance that she would not make it past the this round, but she would be damned if she did not entertain the masses with what she excelling in - attrition.
She hated to spend a lot of energy this, her mind was set regardless as she would not play into the big cat's paws this easily. "Stop." Cion commanded quietly as her gave met that of the soaring Leomon. In an instant, flashes of white energy flared up around her eyes and in the path of the falling warrior. In an instant, the power of light burst apart in a vortex which would catch him midair and prevent him from moving, including dropping down further for a few vital seconds. The damage it caused was at best a bothersome sting, although the purpose of this ability hardly was to inflict injuries.
Not believing that a beast without wings was even capable of avoiding this form of crowd control while not even earthbound to dodge by utilizing his legs, the silver fox proceeded with her strategy. With springiness rivaling that of her opponent, she jumped forward under the likely stuck lion and rolled several meters behind him to reach the center of the platform to give her all the space she needed to act properly.
And it was with speed seldom seen that she made use of her unique technique, shooting a small arrow of raw ki at the immobilized Leomon. Targeting his knee joint as to exacerbate his mobility and speed, the arrow would pierce it, again dealing negligible damage and solidify within, turning hard as diamond. Whatever the outcome of all of this was, Cion would once again stand strong, tall and composed, adapting to the circumstances at hand.

Ban had expected her to dodge... basically anywhere, but instead she had set a trap, he cursed himself, he had done the most obvious course of action and was paying the price for it. She had fired an energy wave straight at him, freezing him in place, it hardly stung, but he immediately understood the purpose of this assault: to immobilize him. Fighting his primal instincts, he fought to maintain eye contact with his foe, ignoring the attack surrounding himself. He spotted her moving to his blind spot.
He had no chance to spin around and spot her in time, so he closed his eyes, and singled out her steps in his ears, this whole time clutching his blade tightly, he had prepared to counter an incoming attack, no reason to let down his guard now, as he heard her scamper behind him, then stopping, as well as the sound of her bowstring starting to draw-Now! He reacted almost immediately, arcing his back and drawing his blade, and slashing at the incoming arrow. He underestimated his rate of turn, however, due to him being unfamiliar with long periods of floating, at least, not in his current form, and out of his control, as well as the speed of the arrow itself. Nonetheless, his blade missed, and the arrow buried into his fist, left of his pinky knuckle. He winced, this stung more, and this arrow solidified into his arm, leading him to frown, in mild frustration, she had struck first blood, in most battles that could have been it for him, and there was nothing he could have done about it.
He realized he was still floating, and was now upside down, and spinning, quite comically, despite his bulky size and intense stare. He considered firing his Fist of the Beast King, for a moment, before shaking his head, and subsequently ruffling his mane, he couldn't just throw out his only ranged attack whenever he pleased, if he could lead his foe to believe he had no chance at a long-ranged battle, he could use it in his favor. He slapped himself on his chest, before releasing a roar, pumping himself up for when he could move and attempt to close the distance, once more. He was far from done with this battle
He tried his best to keep his eyes on his opponent, but this bizarre attack made that difficult to do. This species of digimon was an unknown to him, while he couldn't help but realize his type had appeared in countless legends as natural warriors who specialize in close combat. As of now, he knew two of her abilities, these bizarre arrows and that energy field. He would need his instincts and will to be especially sharp to keep up with her volleys, as if he let his guard down now, he would likely find himself riddled with arrows, and this match would be over, without him landing a single blow. He refused to face such an outcome.
Used: Beast Sword (Slashes with his “Lion King” Sword, No cooldown)
Active Passive: Valiant Heart (Passive: attack increases the more severely damaged Leomon becomes, Current status: bare minimum damage taken)

Her composure and patience had yielded fruit in a shape of a trap that had caught Leomon off guard, if only for a few moments. Certainly, the feline warrior had learned from his rashness and would adapt as to avoid falling for her ability to snare enemies from now on. Utilizing it from afar was most likely completely ineffective, but keeping it as a last resort in case the frenzy of her opponent led him to assault her more fiercely remained an option for the vulpine marksman to exploit. Maybe the possibility of the vortex being conjured again was sufficient to daunt her adversary, rendering him overly cautious, but that was something only time could tell. Though impressed by Leomon's ability to partially counter the spirit arrow she had launched at her, the Sagitamon wasted no second and did everything in her power to increase her chances for success. Besides, hitting his fist was also a tactical weak spot just like the knee joint, the lodged and solidified arrow of energy potentially making his punches more difficult to utilize. Even if not, the strike alone was worth all the stamina she had spent to score it. Flicking his fingers, a crystalline ocarina got summoned into her free hand, which was of similar temperance as her bow. "One..." She whispered as she pressed her lips against it, using the brief moment her opponent was stunned to increase her advantage. Playing a gentle yet melancholic melody, the floor of the arena began glowing in a radiant, white light. Grass and flowers made out of silver and golden binary code, immaterial in nature, instantly grew and blossomed everywhere, making the stage appear like a holy garden within the city of Luminas and their Avalon Fields. Cion did not originate from there, nor did she share its people's zealotry, but it became evident that she was in touch with the light. The pure glow steadily began engulfing the silver, humanoid fox, a veil of sanctity protecting her like a thin layer of basic armor. Hearing her adversary, finally free of the shackles she had imposed on him, roar, she once again focused her full attention on him. Seeing Ban rush her anew made her retaliate without hesitation, making use of the vestige energy of her utilized ability to fire another ethereal arrow at the wild cat warrior, though this time only aiming at his general body area as she saw no point in aiming precisely this time. After all... her improvised plan was going smoothly - with her melee-oriented rival inevitably running into another trap. As with everything else, similar to her arrows and her cage, it would eat away at him almost unnoticeably - until it was too late. While the glade she had conjured was a boon for her, it was a bane for him, slowly devitalizing his body and stamina. An additional deep breath to recover from exhaustion later, or ever so slightly reduced sprint speed; any impediment was playing to her greatest offensive asset. Attrition. Hopefully, the crowd was entertained by that... Battle Log:Move: - Cion uses 'Protective Glade' to transform the arena. - Utilizies combat-passive ability 'Spirit Arrow Storm'. Buffs:

He landed on the ground, before immediately bouncing upright, and sprinting. His clawed feet dug into the arena's ground, kicking up a small dirt cloud behind him, as he closed in on his opponent. He turned his torso, facing his opponent with his shoulder, as the arrow flew by, a single arrow he could see coming wasn't much of a challenge to avoid, especially when there weren't any other abilities that were flying towards him.
Despite his aggressive approach, his eyes gave away the fact that he was still in control, wand was analyzing his foe as he approached. She seemed oddly content to stand still, in the center of this field she generated. There wasn't a doubt in his mind that this field she was generating was doing... Something. He wished there was something he could do to dispel it. Regardless, he felt that pressuring her was the best option. He continued charging, until he was very close to her, but not close enough to strike or for her to use any close ranged abilities.
He leaped, once more, into the air, just above her, making his fist glow in a bright yellow light, resembling a mix between fire and thin tendrils waving in the breeze. "Fist of the Beast King!" he snarled, launching a fireball that after the slightest moment, bloomed into the shape of a lion's roaring head, it's mane exploding out of the sides and fanning out, looking as though it was rippling in the breeze, but it wasw actually just more of the energy that Ban had initially created. He fired it straight down, towards her. He intended for her to move, and preferably jump, as he had aimed just in front of her, where it's small splash radius would hit her if she didn't move. The purpose was to blast a hole in this field, where he would be safe from it's effects. The explosion would reach a radius of about five feet. This also had the bonus of an attempt to force his foe to jump away, where he could pursue her. In the ability to cover distance, he believed he could outrun her, but her agility surpassed him, so as soon as she touched the ground she would regain advantage, not to mention how this field seemed to make every action more of a labor.
It was obvious that Ban cared little for elemental ability, as all of his powers were generated with raw energy or brute force. This raw energy shared similar properties with ki, but held a much more primal force to it, as it has hardly been channeled, and was released as wild and explosive as his fighting style.
If the two weren't occupied in combat, Ban would have asked her what kind of instrument she had just used, and compliment her for finding a way to implement it into her combat. This wasn't something he'd waste time and energy on, at the moment. He was still ignoring the presence of the crowd, he wasn't even sure if they were cheering, or not, but he didn't really care about that.
Ability Used: Fist of The Beast King (Fires an aura in the shape of a lion’s head from his fist, heavy impact, Cool down: 2 posts)

Beholding the second relentless onslaught with utmost composure, Cion was not surprised to see that her prior spirit arrow had not managed to hit her opponent. Alas, Leomon was a natural warrior with great prowess and reflexes, meaning she had to impede the latter first before having the chance to actually hit him. To be fair, she had not expected anything else lest she thought of him as utterly inept. This was not the case, as her temporary rival showed amazing strength, constitution and agility, compensating for his unvaried, predictable fighting style.
The Sagitamon beheld the feline fighter leap into the yet again, making her respond accordingly. With her energy already drawn from her system, she launched the third bolt of ki at him, seizing the chance of striking Leomon since he was incapable of maneuvering much while airborne due to his lack of wings. Already prepared to retaliate, Cion's eyes widened however when she beheld her opposer charge ki to launch it in a fiery beam at her instead of pounding her with his fists and feet. Even from afar, she noticed the high amount of energy the wildcat siphoned from his endurance to fuel it, making her reconsider her strategy.
Back somersaulting with as much strain she could impose on her legs, she landed on her knees as the blazing blast struck the ground, scorching everything in a 5 meter radius around the impact, including her artificial glade. Although it was much larger than that, it being damaged proved to be bothersome despite it not lasting for long. She would have to maneuver with that disadvantage in mind, though there were currently more hazardous matter she had to focus on than this minor inconvenience.
Seeing the shock wave of smolder rapidly approaching her, she threw her free arm forward. In an instant, a temporary shield of prismatic, solid light appeared in her paw just in the nick of time to protect her from the incoming effects of the bestial Lion's powerful attack. The charged aura flowed around her like a tidal wave breaking at the shore, sizzling sparks of pure force whizzing past her. Nevertheless, the Sagitamon remained unscathed, her radiant barrier vanishing as the last bits of power ceased to be.
Taking in a deep breath as she slowly rose up again, she gravely looked at her adversary, impressed by his might and wondering if he too was wowed one way or the other by her adaptability. No matter the outcome, she was visibly having a lot of fun, and it seemed the cheering crowd of spectators did as well. Cion was able to appreciate the current situation, and maybe Leomon would finally unwind a bit and savor the glory of public mixed martial arts as well.

At the point of attack he was in when she fired, there was little he could do to dodge, but little the arrow could do to stop him, so he simply continued with his attack, seeing it through and ignoring the arrow piercing his chest. Amusingly enough, this glade seemed to be susceptible to fire damage, and the ash generated from the attack's shockwave prompted her to protect herself, and conveniently increased the range of his attack. He had not expected her to use a defensive ability, but he welcomed the idea of her exposing more of her abilities.
He landed in the space he created with his Fist of the Beast King, feeling a small weight be taken off his shoulders. He took a breath, before lunging from the position, and springing once more, closing the distance. Again, he visibly prepared to do something, out of range to strike her or for her to use close-ranged abilities, exactly how he behaved when he prepared his Fist of The Beast King, but he knew very well he couldn't use that attack constantly. He jumped once, landing on his braced legs, before pushing off, seemingly straight towards her, at first glance, but the angle was off, he was heading straight above her, moving at impressive speed, as he flew through the air. He tucked in his arms and legs, flipping through the air, a few feet above her head, spinning so fast that targeting a specific point on his body was nigh-impossible, although his size made it easy to target him vaguely.
He stretched out his arms, to land on, but once he did, he winced, as his right, sword-bearing arm crumpled from the force of the impact, as the arrow in his hand twisted fiercely in his arm, forcing him to drop his right leg to compensate and ensure he landed solidly. This was a small damper in his attack plan, but nonetheless, he used his left arm and leg to extend outwards, aiming a donkey kick at Cion's back.
At this point, he felt he couldn't help but feel he underestimated his opponent. Even with his years of experience, that seemed to breed some form of arrogance within him, that he was somehow superior to these other fighters. He would need to purge that from his mind. Deep meditation would be required. His opponent was much more than an archer, her movements and behavior belied years of experience, matching and possibly surpassing his own. Amusement wasn't something he considered in any kind of match, but this battle had made his adrenaline pump, her troublesome evasion actually excited him. He needed to be stronger if he was to fight enemies like this in the future, he was glad he could meet one like her in a friendly competition such as this.

Another arrow that struck him as she had expected - excellent. Though it was merely in Leomon's general chest area, it was bound to fulfill its purpose in due time regardless. It would only take a little longer before the moment would come in which Cion would show her adversary the full extent of her power. Yet despite the energy both of them had spend already, it was clear that the feline warrior who opposed her was far from reaching fatigue, much less exhaustion. Still her mind and plan was set; making use of her nimbleness to steadily wear him down.
The Sagitamon watched as her opponent tapped into his top speed, dashing fiercely towards her in an attempt to assault her yet again. Instead of striking her head-on, Leomon came to a brief halt in front of her before leaping high into the sky once more. The vulpine digimon's eyes widened in visible shock, barely having sufficient time to react properly as he landed behind her again, continuing his onslaught with the intention of hitting her back. It was from an awkward stance on his part, but that made it all the difficult to retaliate - or rather impossible.
Cion's golden eyes, filled with trepidation, met the proud blue ones of the Leomon, likely full of vigor and fighting spirit. Bearing her teeth in frustration, her gaze lingered, only managing to turn halfway until the powerful kick was about to impact with the side of her body. From her stance, it was clear that she had not even attempted to draw her bow properly - which was the point. Her right arm was free, swung sideways as to collide with the wildcat's leg. And as his large paw collided with the side of her torso, so did her hand with the shin of her adversary.
There was a moment of absolute silence in which her perception of time slowed down to a crawl, her gaze of worry perpetually directed at the other fighter's face. The Sagitamon's eyes narrowed, disquiet fading for beaming, almost arrogant confidence as the edges of her frown rose up, revealing a smirk. "Gotcha..." The silver digimon whispered, their personal moment ending instantly as space-time returned to normal.
It was a piercing scream of pain that Cion got tossed away by Leomon's mighty kick like she was a lifeless ragdoll, but not without leaving a present in the form of another flash of light whizzing around his exposed leg. Immediately, the Translucent Vortex expanded, pulling at the fierce warrior from every direction as to render his movability null. The Sagitamon meanwhile impacted with the ground, inelegantly overturning several times before deciding that enough was enough. Digging her talons into the flagged floor, she decelerated herself.
With a small yet gracious backflip, she regained a steady footing, recklessly launching a spirit arrow at the certainly trapped opponent's hip. That was not without giving a wince of pain, comprehending that Leomon's attacks were potent, especially against someone with modest constitution as herself even with the help of the protective glade. In most cases, she would have healed herself, but she first needed to see if the final step of her plan could be realized.

He hadn't spotted her expression as he struck her with his leg, and hadn't caught on until it was a bit too late. He saw the flash of light, and instantly recognized it, and reacted quickly. It was a bit reckless, but he dove his fingers into the dirt and held it, as his body was dragged upwards by the magic, it's stinging sensation reminding him of the kind of digimon he was fighting. She could expand the distance between the two, in an instant of lapsed judgement, and keep herself safe from the majority of attacks.
Well, at least he landed a blow, at last, and from the looks of things, it had left an impact. He took a deep breath, as he gripped the ground he was just supporting himself on. He was familiar with this move's basics, at the very least, and he understood that it was virtually exactly the same sensation of falling, in place, if that made any sense, it did to him, at least. His legs and body were lifted into the air, but this time he had an anchor. He peered down his chest, seeing the inversed image of his opponent righting herself, and firing another arrow, he brought up his already arrow-stuck arm, to attempt to block it, but it went lower than he expected, sinking to the right and just below his waistline. He scowled, in pain, he had arrows sticking out of virtually everywhere, and they were quite bothersome, and his instincts were ordering him to remove them, but that seemed nigh-impossible.
He continued staring at her, looking almost goofy, as he was being pulled upwards, but his arm held him in place. He needed to rethink his strategy, countering attacks may yield better results than what he was getting, so he decided to try that, as well as keep close-ranged pressure when he gets the chance. For now, there wasn't much he could do but bide his time. He drew his blade, prepared to counter any one of her arrows, as he really did not want any more arrows sticking out of him, especially irritating, barbed ones. Still... this was getting bad, he was running out of stamina, and as much as he hid it with his stoic expression, he couldn't deny how heavy his limbs were getting. She even had a barrier, albeit a seemingly fragile one, similar to his own, and if he were to close the distance and end this, he would need to ensure she uses it before he launches his finishing attack.

There was a moment of absolute silence, the vulpine marskman taking in a deep breath as to relax her body. Leomon was far from the only one who had utilized a lot of stamina, and it was not difficult for Cion to admit that her lungs were getting sore. She had no problem performing acrobatic acts to defend herself, but she was not used to nor built to do them consecutively without long breaks between them. In the end, she was not a fighter but a ranger, hence the constant movement took a toll on her, not to mention the heavy punched she had endured.
Still, she was not willing to give up and wished to entertain the masses for as long as possible. Even if she was to drop out in the first round, she'd bring glory to herself and more importantly P.R.O.F.I.T. If she was to surrender solely due to fatigue, then what would the people think of them? No, they were mercenaries of honor and unlimited potential, which was exactly what she was and would continue giving the feline warrior. After all... it was finally time to reap the reward of her patience, accuracy and nimbleness.
The light of the protective glade faded along with its effects - the aura forming around her ceasing as did the increased strain on the wildcat's body and mind. The benevolent archer was by herself, her prey immovable and certainly awaiting her next move. She would not disappoint him. Another deep inhale and exhale could be heard before she assumed a rigid stance, aiming her bow at Leomon trapped inside her vortex. Not that it made a huge difference where he was or how much he could maneuver, but it strangely enough increased... satisfaction.
"With all our might and wisdom..." Cion declared with utmost composure in her young yet mature voice, reminding her opponent of the very words he had utter himself. As promised, she would not give him anything less, much less a quarter. At first, there was only a single, small ethereal arrow leaning against the bowstring of her crystalline weapon, but it was clear from her expression that she was mustering much more power. As her eyes suddenly widened, baring her fangs, both her bow and the solidified arrows within her stuck adversary's system flared up in white, prismatic radiance.
In this every instance, the spirit arrow she intended to fire increased exponentially in size, easily rivaling the length of Leomon himself. The crystal-projectile was ablaze in Incandescent blazes, astral embers streaming past the Sagitamon's frame, carried by the violent winds her very own, powerful ability created. Her silver hair and white pelt and tail waved intensely, but her golden, bestial eyes remained fixed on those of her temporary enemy. Yet... she did not launch it at him. "I wanted to give you time to prepare... and for you to see it." She spoke without mocking him, genuinely wishing to see what this promising upstart combatant was truly capable of.
Growling in a state of strain, she dragged her vibrating weapon skyward and let go off the bowstring. The translucent projectile soared with great speed towards the sun, shattering abruptly into millions of twinkling shards. Like a hail blizzard, the tiny, sharp fragments rained hard and fast down on them, their path absolutely unpredictable as they were carried by the slightest occurrence of wind. A maelstrom that covered the entire arena raged on, ripping at everything they came into contact with... though it appeared they purposefully if narrowly wound around Cion's frame.
And as she beheld the feline digimon react, the Sagitamon elegantly stood on her left leg, the other resting on the right one's calf. Although curious, she was also in a state of peace and respite, narrowed eyes beneath an amber aura lingering on her adversary. The eyeless tornado squalled, crystalline shards eager to rend the marksman's enemy. Yet it was not only Ban they were after. Often, they came into contact with the solidified arrows in his system, causing them to flare up stronger each time. It did not take long for the secondary effect of the storm to take place, if Leomon was unable to protect himself.
From his chest, hand and hip tendrils of golden light would erupt vehemently, trailing down his body as to snare his legs and feet like spectral manacles. If her opposer was unable to somehow defend himself against the gale of glass rain, then it was not only damage he had to be concerned about, but also his legs being tied together relentlessly, certainly rendering unable to move for while the twines of energy lasted.
Cion savored the cacophony of mayhem quietly, acting like she was in a meditative state. Nevertheless, deep inside she was excited on how Ban would deal with the sensory cataclysm she imposed on him, sensations tearing at him and demanding his focus from every conceivable direction.

Ban watched her movements closely. She didn't seem to be interested in fleeing out of his line of sight, and instead took a stance, seemingly bracing herself, and he could tell she was gathering her strength. His pupils contracted as he saw her gather her strength, and summon a brilliant light on her bow. She paused, aiming dead-on at her opponent, as he dropped to the ground, once again released by her energy wave. He stood, as she spoke. He rotated his shoulders and cracked his neck, before locking eyes with her once more, "Please don't underestimate me. You have a fight to win." He stated, not making a move to approach her, for two reasons, 1: it would be reckless to approach her while she is charging an attack such as this, and 2: He actually wanted to see what she was planning this whole time.
Soon enough, his patience was rewarded by her launching the arrow into the sky, as it detonated. For the slightest of moments, Ban couldn't figure out what was happening, as it looked like it had exploded into glitter, before his eyes widened, as he saw the millions of shards flying at him. "Come!" He roared at the incoming projectiles, firing himself up, and seemingly challenging the projectile to do it's worst. His free left hand glowed in an energy similar to Fist of The Beast King, as fire erupted from his fist, but this time covering the entirety of his forearm, wreathing it in golden fire. He swung his fist in front of his face, "Beast King's Shield!". Immediately, the shards impacted, as a mixture of a swarm and a twister. Countless shards sparked off of his shield, seeming to do nothing to affect it's integrity, but the shield was far too small to cover all of Ban, at once.
Scratches and cuts appeared all over Ban's muscular frame, as the attack ended as soon as it began. He exhaled, now panting, as he stared at his foe. His eyes were his most valued ability, in his opinion, especially in this fight, as otherwise it would be virtually impossible for his other senses to track her. He then felt a pressure throughout his body, as vines wrapped around his body, locking his legs in place. His sword arm had also been restrained, but he still had one arm capable of functioning, and even though his legs couldn't move, he wasn't going to fire his only ranged attack just yet, she had her own barrier, after all, and she could just nullify his attack or just avoid the blast completely, at that distance between the two.
Why had he taken part in this tournament? He had forgotten at this point, but he felt he must have done so in an attempt to reaffirm his ability to himself, but if this was the first match, he needed to accept that he needed to grow if he would ever hope to achieving his dream. Well, whatever the reason, he abandoned it at this point. He refused to fall to his opponent, whoever it was, that was who he was, even when he first evolved to leomon, all those years ago, and every evolution after that. Now that he was thinking about it, hadn't the announcers mentioned something about something about "Profit", and how she was a member. If this association had warriors like this, he would absolutely need to gather information on them. He glanced down at his bindings, before turning back to his foe. "I realize this isn't the time, and I apologize for not listening before, but may I have your name?" He asked, as his shield faded.

"Au contraire! I am far from underestimating you." She responded calmly and kindly before having unleashed her vitreous assault upon Ban. Cion had never intended to appear dismissive of the Leomon's skills, hoping a rift between them had not formed out of misunderstanding. Because in actuality, she was pleasantly impressed by the wildcat's prowess, endurance and power. These aspects were rough around the edges and clearly lacked wisdom from experience, but they seemed easily enough to be forged into something truly might. And, at least deducing this from his strong sense of honor, there was a decent chance that her adversary was a good digimon who had a promising future in organizations - such as P.R.O.F.I.T.
If nothing else, if the Sagitamon had underestimated the feline warrior, she would have never made use of her strongest ability with the impetus to harm and snare him. In the end she was not here to necessarily win, but to enjoy her time and as always seizing whatever opportunities came her way. And what better way was there to evaluate a potential sentinel of the digital world than giving him everything she got in a considerate manner? It was a learning experience of sorts - for the both of them.
Patiently and quietly, she learned by observation, letting the cyclone of shards do its deed against her opponent, who valiantly protected himself against it with a shield of energy similar to her own. Brave and stalwart, those were certainly two attributes which suited the golden lion quite well. Her golden, bestial eyes lingered on the blue ones of the injured fighter, who had not been able to nullify the entire of her powerful skill. As to be expected, this did not mean he yielded from injuries, nor did he panic from the tendrils of light tightly squishing his lower body.
There was a long moment of silence in which they did not speak nor act, allowing Cion to savor a moment of repose while granting the same to Ban. Eventually, the other combatant decided to speak, the Sagitamon's stance shifting into something far more relaxed if not totally unwound. The question the Leomon asked her was strangely unfitting, but far was it from her courteous attitude to not answer it. "No reason to apologize. I am Cion, pleased to meet you, Mr...?" The vulpine marksman replied with a soft smile on her muzzle.
Calmly leaning her free hand against her hip, she leaned the bottom of her bow on the ground, visibly not minding this chance of pace in their relationship despite the most likely perplexed crowd who were ought for blood like Romans visiting the Colosseum. The silver digimon was inherently civil, which was why she had no problem ignoring everyone else besides her dialogue partner. "I have a question for you in return - well, two to be precise if you don't mind. The first one would be... well... you are a strong warrior. Any plans what do do with that power?"
Her curiosity could easily perceived as her digging deeper with the drive to nudge her current adversary towards a specific destination. For everyone who knew the good soul which was the Sagitamon, it became immediately clear what she attempted to achieve if the desired status quo had not already been attained. Snapping her fingers, a soothing white aura briefly engulfed the wounds and bruises of both of them, mending smaller ones while letting the pain of the larger ones subside.
And although Cion was capable of doing so, she refused to utilize the lingering energy to launch it at Ban in the shape of another spirit arrow, allowing it to fade away completely. And as it ceased, so did the tendrils of incandescent energy, as well as the arrows which had until now had been lodged inside her opponent's frame.
