Memories Beneath the Sand [Totem Hunt] [K, Takeshi]
|
Post by Toki Akiyama on Jan 23, 2018 6:17:54 GMT
The sand whipped across the stone tiles leading to a small entrance into what appears to be some kind of temple on the far reaches of the Ruins. The energy signature from Toki's scanner led him and his current group to this very location where the sun beat down on the golden sands that surround them. This temple seemed humble with not much in the way of ancient symbols carved into the walls unlike the other, more elaborate ruins "This seems to be the place. I'll admit I'm...a little nervous. Okay not just a little. Very nervous." Toki said. He took a few deep breaths to compose himself. The trip to the ruins went much smoother than Toki's original trek across the desert. An understanding of the region's layout and having a map handy certainly helped with that.
He looked back at K, Takeshi, Ryu, and Ken. He was endlessly grateful for their support on this venture "Well, it's now or never, right? Let's take a look at what this place has in store for us." he said. As he stepped towards the entrance, another emotion swelled within him. Excitement. Whatever was going to happen, this was the most important thing he has done for himself while here in the Digital World. This would also help his spirit, who has been a steadfast companion of his since this whole journey began.
Why was this place so simple compared to the rest of the ruins? The walls were plain, only decorated by the occasional torch. Turuiemon spoke up "This places feels very familiar. I can't remember the details but this was once an ancient training ground...popular for meditation as well as it was so secluded. It's...somewhere I've been...I've been here many times before. Did I train here?" there was a faint hope in his voice. He wanted to know more about who he was.
Toki listened to Turuiemon's musings as they walked further through the interior. Eventually, a voice rang out from deeper inside "Come on...!! Open up! Something woke up here, right? Right? Let me see!" it was a girl's voice. They came across an open room with a large stone gate with three panels laid out in a triangle shape in front of it. Each panel had the image of a Digimon of a specific stage etched onto it. Toki approached the source of the voice, a little white and purple Digimon called Lunamon. "Um...excuse me?" he called out.
The Lunamon shrieked and turned around to see the group approach "W-who are you and what are you doing for? Th-this place is historical! Wait...oh my goodness are you here because of what awakened in here?! That means you're tied with it!" she jumped up and down in joy.
"Whoa, hey now...are you talking about the spirit totem? How'd you know about it?" Toki asked.
She beamed happily "The spirit here is someone really amazingly legendary! But...not a whole lot of Digimon really talk about them anymore. I remember hearing so many great stories about them that I tried my best to find out where pieces of the spirit are! When I came here, though, something felt different. I think it's awake and you're here to claim it, right? I'll help, I'll help! Look!" she waddled over to the nearby panel that showed a smaller Digimon and stepped on it. This made the panel light up with an otherworldly glow "When I stand on this one it glows! But..." she goes over to the next one of the middle-sized Digimon and stepped on it, but it doesn't light up "This one doesn't..." she looked a little sad. She shook her head and raised her hand to try and brighten her mood "I'm Aylin! Nice to meet you!"
Toki watched this Lunamon named Aylin cheerfully explain her presence and what she was doing. "Well you're certainly excitable." he said with a smile "Let's see if we can figure this out together, okay?" he said. He looked over the panels and began to step on each one. None of them lit up. He scratched his chin "Give me a second." he said. He pulled out his scanner and focused, the ring of data appearing around his left hand. "The first step towards the mountain's peak..." he chanted as he pressed the data along the scanner "Spirit Evolution!" he shouted. The data dispersed and surrounded him in a ball of bright light. It swirled like a small sandstorm before it faded away to reveal Toki's spirit form "Turuiemon!" he stepped down onto the small Digimon panel again. This time, it lit up. "I think it has to do with our stage as a Digimon." he said.
Turuiemon spoke for Toki for a moment "It was...for teachers and students. It was required for a stronger Digimon to guide the two younger stages through the ruins. No one could get in otherwise."
Toki shook his head "Warn me before you do that..." he said with a chuckle. "Maybe the second one next to me is for Champions and the one at the front is for Ultimates?"
Meanwhile, Aylin looked positively gleeful seeing Turuiemon "You're the real thing! I'll help you as much as I can so you can get stronger again!" she said. Her happiness was almost infectious as Toki scratched his cheek and blushed at her excitement.

The ancient ruins, a location within the western flatlands. While it was nothing like her home in the Eastern timberlands she had to admit it had a semblance of charm. Sure there was sand all over the place and it felt like there wasn't a digimon for miles.. But she couldn't really argue with the idea of looking far into the distance in each direction and finding what amounted to something she always was seeking...
Peace.
It was a rare feeling, a rare happening and something that the Renamon enjoyed quite firmly. Sure the sun was a little harsher than what she was expecting but that just made it a little easier for some types of digimon to operate.
Do not worry, you brought allies and friends for this exact reason."
The renamon scratched her head an looked about giving the human a grin before moving forward. She had weathered this travel fairly well for someone that was covered in fur from head to toe. Perhaps it was just her abundance of energy? Or something else entirely?
"If anything caution should be our primary concern, but I cannot argue with the idea of going deeper."
She'd pad after the human, her tail swishing to and fro. What sort of secrets did these ruins hold? What sort of people used to live her long ago? Was this like her original home, deep in the northern province? At the sound of voice as they went deeper in, the renamon paused and let out a soft hum.
"Not a tomb raider by the sound of it... something a tad more peaceful It seems."
The renamon peeked around the entry into the open room, her brow furrowing quickly as she was given the view of the room and the sole individual within. [barring the fact that one of her companions had already gone in]. She'd chuckle softly and enter in properly; rubbing along her neck and staring at the Lunamon for a few brief moments.
"A little excitable yes but that's not surprising. An archaeologist per chance?
The renamon tilted her head and let her eyes sweep the local; when the Lunamon introduced themselves along with a plethora of information given to them... Well. The renamon could only stand there awkwardly. The puzzle that was out in front of them quick to be solved in some fashion or another. Or at least she presumed that when Toki spirit evolved.
"So if the one in the front is for ultimate does that mean I should go to the form in question? Or do you think there might have to be an order?"
She'd go forward to inspect the 'ultimate' pad. Or perhaps maybe she didn't need to do anything if Aylin had some ideas. The renamon found her brows raising however when the Lunamon said that she wanted to help Toki get stronger again. She... found herself being oddly...
Trustful of the little mon, if they were a threat to them they would of acted in some fashion already. She doubted this was a trap even with how everything was lain out.
"How long have you been down here Aylin?"

(OOC: I'm moving on with the plotline, but Takeshi is still here following us. Feel free to jump back in at any time.)
Toki felt a sense of reassurance knowing that Takeshi and K were there to help in the event things went wrong. He had hoped this would be a painless outing, but something told him with how this placed was sealed up it wouldn't be. Still, he wouldn't let that deter him. He wanted to become stronger and get another part of the spirit. Maybe more memories and stories could be shared when the spirit is more whole.
Aylin tilted her head and pondered for a moment "Only a few days. Don't worry, I brought lots of supplies! I'll even share if you need some." she said happily. She raised her hand slightly "I-I can try to digivolve if that will help. I'm not really good at it yet though. Can your friend help out with that? I'm not really sure if there has to be an order to it. I think there just has to be one of each." she looked over at Takeshi and his two Digimon.
Toki smiled and sat down on his tile "I wouldn't want any of you to push yourselves if it's unnecessary, but we do have to get by here if I'm going to get my spirit. It wouldn't hurt to see if the Ultimate tile will light up if K stands on it in her Ultimate form in the meantime. I just hope there's nothing further along that would be strong enough to go against an Ultimate..." he said, clearly a little worried about what might be ahead.
His spirit decided to speak again "I don't think anything has been down here in a long time...from what I can piece together in my memory, there isn't much further after this room. A large meditation chamber...but that's all I can remember."
Toki was still getting used to sharing a voice whenever he was spirit evolved "Eh...well that's good to hear at least. I'm pretty excited to see where this takes us if it's really something important to your history. There's still so much about the Digital World I have to experience...I'm kind of nervous. I met someone who said I should be careful what I decide to do here. If I wasn't going to give it my everything, I should probably go back to the human world. I told them I would keep going. This place made me feel like I'm doing something truly important for the first time in my life." he said,
He looked over at K "I just hope I'm not just coming across as some kind of thrill seeker. I know how dangerous this world can be and I don't intend on taking it lightly. I really want to make a difference here someday."
Aylin sat down on the Champion tile and waited to see if they needed her to Digivolve or if the others would take care of this part. She listened intently to Toki's words, fascinated by this human's drive.

K tilted her head a little bit when Aylin explained out how long they had been here, as well as offering to share supplies with the group as a whole if they needed. It was certainly a happy little digimon that much was for sure. At the general offer to digivolve the renamon felt her brows raise slightly. She'd scratch at her neck and chuckle gently.
"If there is an order to it, We might have time to sort it out. If not? Well then this'll be rather easy I feel."
The renamon shrugged after a little bit at the mention of seeing if the ultimate tile would light up upon the renamon standing on it in her shutmon form. She'd rub her muzzle softly and let the gentle light of digivolution that was usually part of her engulf her form. A few moments later the renamon was replaced by a shutmon.
She'd stretch a bit and eye Toki; her ears perking and flicking forward when toki continued. The way they talked and the way they made mention of things... well they just made sense to the shutmon. She was curious to hear more about these people that had given the young spirit user their advice. As well as what the spirit tamer was willing to give. The fact that the digital world made them feel important was enough to bring a small but somewhat soft smile onto the shutmon's face.
"Heavan's no. Thrill seekers don't do this sort of thing, they're out and about partaking in fiery activities and doing ill advised things. You're taking the digital world the way you want to, and I don't think anyone could ask for you to do more than what you're willing to give."
The shutmon would crack a row of her knuckles before stepping onto the 'ultimate' tile before turning to look back at the Spirit user.
"Honestly, the few humans I've met all have been rather straightforward about things. You the most as your drive right now is plain as anyone can see. It's a good thing mind you. I wouldn't really worry about it if you're able to make friends like this."

Toki looked rather amazed at K's digivolution into Shutmon. It got him wondering what his future forms would look like? Would they look as cool? How will they fight? There he went again musing and staring off into space for a moment as he considered all of the possibilities. He snapped out of it and blushed a bit "S-sorry, just thinking about what my future digivolutions are going to look like..."
There was a sense of validation to Toki as K responded to him. These sorts of motivations and desires were somewhat new to him so he wasn't sure if it was right to follow through with them on his own. He had a drive to understand and help the Digital World. He mustered a shy smile "Thanks, really. I'll do what I'm able to!" he nodded. "Oh and...I'm really glad you consider me a friend. It's nice." he added.
Sure enough, when K digivolved and stepped onto the Ultimate tile, it lit up. Aylin seemed a little nervous "I wanna help too! I just hope I can do it..." she said before she began to focus, the light of digivolution enveloping her. She eventually emerged as Lekismon and lost her footing for a second "Oof!" he fell over onto the panel, which lit up with the correct stage. "Sorry...I'm not used to this form yet." she said.
The door in front of them rumbled, sand falling loose and crumbling to the floor as the doorway began to slide open to reveal the path forward. A sand swept staircase was before them and at each side were small grooves where sand flowed down like a gold river. The only light seemed to come from the torches that were somehow still lit after all of this time. Unless they were lit recently. This was unsettling for Turuiemon, who thought this place must have been abandoned a very long time ago.
Aylin, meanwhile, ran down the stairs eagerly to see what else could be found down here "Yes! We're here!" she shouted as she ran to this large circular room. Sand pooled around the edges of a large circular arena. Dusty old cushions were strewn about, likely places to kneel down at some point.
"Careful, Aylin..." Turuiemon spoke. This was important for his spirit, so Toki let him take the reigns for the moment. "This place. It's so familiar. I remember...a teacher. A master. They were kind and promoted to use of strength as a means of keeping peace...not spreading violence. There was always those who envied his skills and his habit of turning away students he deemed too hot blooded." he said. Near the front of this arena there was a shining light. A small, abstract figure representing a Digimon sat on an old altar.
"Turuiemon...? Is that it?" Toki asked as he took control once again. "Yes, it is...please, retrieve it. I feel uneasy here. Something bad happened here...something..." before Turuiemon could finish, Toki was grasped by the large hand of a figure that leaped from the shadows behind the altar.
The figure was an Antylamon, and it towered over the others that gathered here "I recognize this one..." it rumbled in a menacing voice "Aah...I've waited a long time to see you again, 'dear friend.' Don't think I've forgotten your transgressions...not only did you disgrace our line by reducing a Deva to the ranks of Champion, your petty good will lead you to bring outsiders here that destroyed our order from the inside. You were naive then, and it seems you are naive now. You've brought outsiders with you once more and what's this? You've bonded with a human?! You let one of them control you? Disgusting." the Antylamon violently threw Toki against the ground next to K and the others.
Aylin gasped and ran to Toki's side, who groaned when she helped him up. That was all he could take? He felt weak. Useless. He could barely move right now without feeling aches. What even was this Digimon? Aylin scowled "Stop...! We just want to get his spirit totem...leave him alone!" she shouted.
"And let him spread his misguided ways again? This weakling was always too soft for his own good." Antylamon spat back.
Turuiemon grit his teeth "We were supposed to help spread kindness and peace with our strength...! I just wanted...I just wanted others to have the chance to learn our styles...our beliefs." he said weakly. Toki took control again "Turuiemon...rest..." he said.
Antylamon gazed back at them "If you want that spirit totem, you must face me first." the torches around the arena lit up one by one "One day you'll learn that not everyone deserves kindness. It will leave you vulnerable, much like it left our master vulnerable."

K would stretch a bit, soaking in the attention just a little as she noted that Toki was rather amazed by her digivolution. It was hands down one of her favorite forms; slowly becoming iconic in the cities that she interacted in. Sure cresgarurumon made an impression, but nothing held up to the sheer level of prowess she demonstrated in this form alone. It felt absolutely natural in every single way; so much more than her renamon form.
"It's quite all right Toki, future thoughts are ideal. But don't forget the here and now!"
She'd let out a soft laugh and likely would of gave the young man a pat on the back. He was certainly a somewhat nervous social individual it seemed, but the spirit user likely would get over that the longer he interacted with people. At least in the fashion of positivity. She'd return his smile with quite a wolfish one, stretching a little bit as she stood there.
"You're quite welcome. And of course, why wouldn't I? You've done nothing to harm me or the people I care about. Being forward enough to ask for help and doing so in a kindly manner. Intentions in their own are pure enough to make my data bristle!"
There was another laugh and she'd raise her brows when the other digimon digivolved into a Lekismon. She'd take a long, long few moments looking the form over; somewhere in those icy blue orbs there was a spark of curiosity. As she had never seen the type of digimon before.
"Quite all right there, more used to the prior form I imagine?"
Her ears would perk and her head would turn as the door rumbled.. before opening. The wolf digimon's arm blades automatically flipped from their resting 'sheathed' position to the 'attack' forward position. It was subconscious and in response to outside stimuli; the shutmon blinked a few times before frowning.
"Huh. that sent shivers down my spine."
She'd follow after the two, looking around as the spirit talked. She wasn't able to put her finger on it but something felt off? Spirit's remembering something like this made the shutmon falter for a brief moment. She could remember something odd; it was brief. Distant and faint. But the digimon didn't really have time to address the sensation as Toki was grasped by a large hand. Almost immediately the ultimate shifted her posture; the air of friendliness vanished in an instant.
The curiousness was gone, the smile was gone. The plain look on her face, and icy disposition took hold so fast she was a different person entirely. They assessed the other digimon, not willing to move an inch past shifting her stance. When toki was thrown the shutmon let out a marvelous growl and lowered herself just a bit so that she could address the human.
"This is not something words can fix. His ill intent and hatred is deep seated enough to where it's sloughing off of him in waves."
The wolfen digimon wasn't affected too much by the rumbling of the massive mon's voice, or the fact it stood over them in such a way that made them seem small and insignificant.
It was nothing compared to the sheer majesty of two beings she was able to interact with. Nothing compared to power she had witnessed first hand. The shutmon flicked her eyes from the Antylamon to toki.. and back to the Antylamon again. K didn't seem angry, there was nothing but the icy sensation of detachment around her. Her blades on her forearms spun lazily in circles and the ultimate let out a small growl. Her silence was growing by the second, the energy around her brewing. until...
The shutmon slowly walked forward, but where she would descend towards the altar. She instead simply just walked on air, keeping it so that she was to the same eyeline as the other ultimate. Her cold, icy gaze lined up with the other.
She would not instigate the attack, but there was something much deeper in her that was disgusted with what the Antylamon said. She wanted to help toki deal with this; but she couldn't fight him for him. No. She could do something a little better than that.
"Name your master. So I can understand why your hatred blinds you so."

K's words lingered in Toki's mind as he tried to recover. She was awfully supportive of him despite the fact that he felt as if he has not done much to deserve such kind treatment. Now here we was, battered and bruised after a single attack. He felt like he was letting everyone down. Those who encouraged him to do what he felt was right. To himself for not being able to stand up to one of the first major obstacles he had faced. "...I'm sorry...I can't do this...I'm not strong enough. He should have picked someone else to use his spirit!" he said. He clenched his fists and fought back his tears.
Aylin looked at him, upset that he would even think that. She may have been excited to meet the spirit, but the human he was with was just as important "You can't think like that! They're strong and wise...you just haven't seen what you can do yet..."
Antylamon stared down K, not at all intimidated by her quiet nature or her actions "My master was Gankoomon. He would have never tolerated someone as spineless as that human using the form of one of his former students. I'll think about letting you and your friends leave if you break your bond with that human and reform properly. Or just disappear for good."
Toki struggled to get to his feet and stared down the vastly superior Digimon in front of him. Part of him wanted to give up. Part of him agreed with Antylamon. He was spineless, weak, and unworthy of someone like Turuiemon. "What was that you wanted to do when we first met? To resolve that turmoil within yourself? To find a balance within your life? I will never...give up on you, Toki. I will never give up on humans." Turuiemon said.
He looked up at Antylamon "Gankoomon...wait...he didn't reject hot-blooded Digimon. He was the living embodiment of it! He took those with strong wills and desires and forged them to have the strength to do what was right. To bring justice to the world...I remember! I also remember...you. You came to him to learn just so you could use your strength to demand respect out of people...you used it to...save people, but then force them to think highly of you instead of letting it happen naturally. When I brought new students, they never respected you...and I saw your selfishness. When me and the new students saw you smash someone's home for not showing you enough so called 'respect,' we reported you to Gankoomon...and you proceeded to go on a rampage out of spite. Gankoomon...sealed you here."
Antylamon growled "A warrior deserves the respect of the people they save! Those who don't treat us with reverence need to be shown their place. We're the strong. The strong guide the weak, isn't that right?" the Antylamon's hands turned into large axes.
"But not like that!" Aylin shouted as she leaped into the air "Moon Night Bomb!" spheres of water gathered around her fist, which she thrust out. The spheres flew towards Antylamon, who blocked the spheres with one axe hand. Save for one, which splashes against his face. Dizziness and drowsiness set in "What...is...this?!"
"Toki...you need to make your stand here. You are the one in control now...I don't have enough energy to fight my own battles anymore. I need your help! What is your answer? Will you help me and the Digital World and find your balance?" Turuiemon asked.
Toki grit his teeth "..I..." he clenched his fists "I will!" he stood up straight, powering through his pain. Aylin's attack left Antylamon stumbling. Strength wasn't about gaining power and abusing it. It was so much more than that. Still, Toki kept silent as he approached, fists charged with energy. Suddenly, he jumped forward "Knuckle Duster!" he shouted, his right fist colliding with Antylamon's face while his left fist dug itself into his gut before hopping back.
Antylamon shook his head and covered its stomach "You think you can fight me?! Insignificant...small....weaklings! Asipatravana!" he began spinning on his feet, whirling his transformed hands in a deadly tornado of blades. Toki stood his ground and took a deep breath. Strength...was about knowing your limits and when to let another handle the rest.

There was a spark of anger in K's eyes and the shutmon turned to gaze back at Toki. She'd frown and shake her head slowly but certainly. She didn't believe that for a moment; he was wrong and this antylamon was wrong about him.
"No. He should not of, he chose you for a reason."
Alyin was supportive as well and she shouldn't really of been surprised how they were. The smaller digimon had been for the most part friendly, bouncy and with them even though they had only recently met.
The shutmon turned back to the Antylamon, she didn't really respond to the other staring her down. Then he started to speak explaining that his master was Gankoomon, saying that he wouldn't of tolerated toki for using the form of a former student as well as saying he'd let them go if the spirit broke it's bond with toki.
Anger vanished and was replaced by an intense icy coldness. Which even went so far as to have a physical manifestation of K breathing out a bit of icy air from her mouth. Though it wasn't really anything intense it was something worth while to note.
"You're wrong."
The soft whisper trailed out of her lips when the antylamon claimed that warriors deserve respect of people they serve. Those that didn't treat them with reverence needed to be shown their place, that the wrong guided the weak. The shutmon's hackles raised and such a marvelous growl; she still wasn't foolish enough to remain close to the antylamon when his hands turned into axes though.
"Respect is a gift, Reverence is a gift, Strong do not guide the weak. It's the other way around and one cannot live without the other. But the former cannot exist without the latter. You've forgotten yourself Antylamon."
She'd clang her forearm blades together; that icy look continued to overwhelm her features and her ears flicked back as not only did Aylin react to the antylamon, but toki did as well. She watched him with a semblance of pride.
"You've forgot what it means to serve the people."
The shutmon noted that the antylamon's attack required Toki to be close. The way he spun was easy to understand but she wasn't comfortable with toki taking such a hit from an ultimate tier digivolution without some prep. Kicking off of the ground again she'd pull her hand back, flip midway avoiding getting hit by some of the repetitious spinning attack.
And would attempt to punch the top of the antylamon's head even while he was spinning like a top. She didn't feel right using attacks on this misguided digimon; anything she did would be far over the top and could end up digitizing them. A soft echo in the back of her mind distracted the shutmon though as she landed making her shift incorrectly and she'd grunt in pain as her ankle rolled.
The first key is control.

Antylamon, still dazed from Aylin's attack, is hit squarely on top of the head and stumbles out of his continuous attack. It was clear he didn't intend to stop fighting, however. "You don't know anything...don't pretend you know anything about me or what it means to serve." he growled at K.
Toki, for some reason or another, actually felt a sense of sympathy for the Digimon. So angry and bitter. There was something familiar about it that he did not like to admit, but he knew that battling it out wasn't going to make them feel any better about it "Wait." Toki said as he sat down. "I don't want to fight you anymore."
Antylamon started to laugh "You've realized that it's pointless? Are you going to leave this place and give up your journey here?" he asked. Despite Toki's apparent surrender, Antylamon's hands were still axes and he waved them slightly as a warning.
"No. I'm not giving up. Not with this...and not with you. I won't pretend I know exactly what happened all that time ago, but...you've been here all this time by yourself, haven't you? It must have been terrible. All alone, with nothing but your thoughts to keep you company. No one to talk to as you seethe in anger and hatred. It doesn't have to be this way anymore. The way's open and you can leave now."
Antylamon froze for a moment "...you're joking. You're going to let me leave after knowing what I do to others...not to mention that I am your enemy? How naive can you be, child?" he asked.
"Someone who knows what it's like to be along with nothing but their thoughts. I never got a chance to make friends or really understand my own hobbies and interests growing up. I became quiet and unapproachable. I could have ended up like you. But...respect? What good is it without people who care about who you are? Power or not, nothing's worth it without those to support you. But I changed...you can too."
Antylamon actually seemed taken aback by his tale. For a moment, he was speechless. "You think you...are in a place to lecture me?" he asked. Still, his hands shook and returned to normal. "...take it. Take it and get out." he stood out of the way.
Toki stood up and bowed before he returned to his human form "Thank you..." he smiled warmly and approached the altar. He took out his scanner and pointed it towards it. The small compartment on the alter opened and revealed a small totem that looked like an Antylamon. A familiar data stream circled the totem and Toki knew what to do. He waved his scanner and the stream was absorbed into it.
A new power had awakened within him and his spirit "Toki...I feel more whole now. I can remember more about myself. Antylamon.." his spirit materialized in front of the former enemy. He was in the form of another Antylamon, though a little shorter. "I always tried to reach out to you, but you pushed me away. You must have been through so much if you were so adamant against the love and support from others. I wish what happened back then could have ended differently. We could have been friends. Perhaps..in the future." he said.
The Antylamon walked past them "You got what you came for. Just go...I have my own things to take care of, and I don't need to listen to this anymore." he stopped and looked at K "You could have obliterated me without a second thought. This isn't the extent of your power...did you hold back for him? To test him?" he asked. "Either way...I'm leaving." he continued walking.
Toki placed a hand over his chest. A hint of pride welled up inside of him "We...actually did it. Thank you. All of you." he said. He sighed heavily, glad this was over.
Aylin reverted back to Lunamon and hopped up and down excitedly "You're just like him! You're perfect to be his user! Was I helpful? I hope I was a little bit!" he said.
Toki smiled warmly at her and knelt down to pat her head "You were so much help, Aylin...thank you. What are you going to do now?"
"I don't know, probably try to help you find more totems. If you need me, I'll gladly be there to help you! Even if it's not about a totem." she said happily.
Toki nodded "I appreciate that more than you know." he looked up at K "I...suppose we're done here. K, thank you for everything today. After this, I should take some time to unwind back in the human world. This has been an adventure...I have some things I need to attend to back home, anyway." he said. He walked towards the steps of the stairs "I think Antylamon's going to be okay. He may not admit it, but I think we got through to him."
As they walked, Toki looked at his scanner and saw the new totem added to the database. He smiled and put the scanner away "Turuiemon...or is it Antylamon now? Let's go home." he said. "I'd like that. We deserve a nice rest. After today, I'm even more positive that I chose the right user. Thank you for proving it today. From here on, I will do my utmost to help you and our friends." his spirit said.
Outside the ruins, a figure stood on the dunes far away, arms crossed. Their white jacket billowed in the sandy winds. They flashed a proud, toothy grin before they turned and disappeared into the desert.

K's fist thankfully hit the Antylamon's head with a resounding crack, making her feel a little bit better about the fact that she had landed poorly. She'd frown a little bit and stare at the antylamon; her icy cold eyes flashed with a dangerous light all but a moment.
"Don't assume things. I'm no Knight, but I've been a servant of the people longer than you'd think."
The shutmon's ears perked and swiveled when toki told them to wait. Without hesitation the Shutmon came over to toki. Wincing just a little bit at her ankle but thankfully she figured it wasn't broken or anything. The shutmon's pose was still rather defensive; as if the antylamon did anything she'd react before he'd get a chance to really try something.
Though K stood there, blinking like a fool as Toki made the suggestion. A very sound one among what could of been a very intense fight if they had continued. The shutmon scratched her ear and remained silent. The reaction the antylamon had to what toki said was expected really. She'd rub her chin and watch him for a few long moments; he lectured the digimon of all things. But in such a powerful and gentle way. The shutmon chuckled and exhaled slowly moving to the side to let the Antylamon leave if they so desired to for the moment.
Toki was quick to approach his goal, quick to scan it. She couldn't really tell what all had happened from it.. Up until toki's spirit manifested. There was warmth in what the spirit said, among other things. However when the antylamon stopped and addressed her; she'd smile just a bit.
"You are correct."
There was a small pause, she'd frown and consider what the antylamon said for a few moments before addressing his two 'questions'. There wasn't that coldness that was there before, but it certainly was... not friendly.
"A lesson learnt to one that is passed is no lesson I wish to teach. You gain nothing, he gains nothing. It's that simple. Just remember to find your center. Find your place again Antylamon."
She'd watch the antylamon leave and sigh softly, turning to toki. She'd stare at him for a few moments and dip her head in a nod. There was a soft chuckle as Aylin seemed rather excited how well this went.
"That I suppose we are. Congratulations my friend. Take as much time as you need, I'll be in whitewater for quite some time. So if you need anything don't hesitate to come around."
She'd pad after the human, rubbing her muzzle thoughtfully. Once they were outside of the ruins the shutmon looked around and considered something briefly. There was some movement that caught her eye but before she could see what it was, it vanished. There was a small frown before the shutmon simply shrugged. She heard the faint echo in her head again as she started to make her way back to the closest thing she had to a home now days...
The first key is control.
