The darkness had consumed him for some time, but now it was time to walk into the light! As Drake opened his eyes, he felt the sting of the sand fly into his eyes. Standing, he found himself in the middle of a large dessert, no one around to greet him. Why was he here? What was he doing for these last few months for him to just black out and end up in a dessert. Something strange was very clearly afoot. Suddenly, a Budmon hopped up to him with a smile on its face. The In-Training Digimon was very clearly curious of his presence in the desert. She looked up and began to speak in a tiny voice. "Hello, stranger. Why're you here?" After hearing her speak, Drake turned and asked a question. "Where am I?" The In-Training Digimon looked at him in confusion before giving him an answer. "Why in Folder Desert, of course!" Folder Desert! That was an insane distance away from Terminus. Why was he out here? He didn't have the time nor the patience to wait around and find out. Quickly, he began running in the direction of the city (at least, where he thought). The Budmon began began to yell after him. "Hey, wait! Don't you wanna come home for dinner!?"

Two twin digimon were making their way through the Folder Desert, walking the path from the Valley of Dragons to Rustport. It had been a while since they had touched base with El Doradimon. They should probably go back there soon.
The two digimon were scouts as such. It was their job to keep an eye on the world below, as El Doradimon was something of a secluded civilization. And as dragon digimon, well, they wanted to visit the fabled Valley of Dragons, but, after finding the dragons there were quite nasty, they couldn't leave fast enough.
The two of them were dressed in brown travelling scarves to protect their muzzles from the dust storm, and goggles were over their eyes. But the Veemon and Guilmon did not mind the heat, they enjoyed it much more than the cold.
"Hey Roy what's that?" he asked, pointing in the distance with his claw. Roy looked and saw what seemed to be a little blob with ears bouncing through the desert.
"That's a Koromon" the Veemon said, surprised. The desert was no place for a digimon that young. The dragons had to help it out at once. They jogged toward the surprisingly fast little digimon.
"Hey, wait up!" Rex called. "We wanna help you! You're going the wrong way!"

As he ran through the desert, he began to hear something come up behind him. Turning around, he saw two individual Digimon running up to him, yelling and screaming for his attention. He was not sure why they were here of all places, but he might as well see what they want. Nearing him, he noted that they were shouting about him going the wrong way. He had been pretty sure that the direction he was going was the correct one, but he stopped to meet the two just to be sure. "I am making my way to Terminus; do you happen to know the directions?" he said in the most intimidating style possible. Just then, he had finally realized that he was no longer the BlackAgumon he normally was, as he was now a Koromon again, just like old times. ("Aw crap...") he thought.

Thankfully the Koromon did slow down and turn to see them. Roy and Rex broke their run to stand in front of him. They lifted their goggles to reveal their red and yellow eyes. Risky in the desert, yes, but, an act that would hopefully help him trust them.
The Koromon asked if they knew the way to Terminus. With this, Roy was glad to help out and tell him the way.
"Yeah, I do" he said, proceeding forward, removing a device from the equipment pouch he wore around his bare waist. It was an equivalent of the D-Terminal that humans would get when they received their digivices, only designed for use by solo digimon. He and Rex had acquired one in their last visit to Terminus City. The Veemon pressed some buttons and the D-Terminal's screen revealed a basic map of the digital world. He zoomed in on their position.
"Terminus City is that way, but there's no hope you'll reach it on foot... or... butt or whichever's the right term" he explained. "Your best bet is to head to Rustport and catch a Trailmon, which can get you there within a few hours. And Rustport is that way" he pointed in a more correct direction, according to what the map told him.
Rex meanwhile was more curious about how a Koromon ended up in the desert in the first place. "So, uh, are you okay? Did something happen?" he asked, curiously.

Upon hearing of Rustport and the Trailmon that lived there, Drake began to plan out a new trek. This trek would be significantly shorter than the previous, only being a few days instead of the original weeks. At least he would be able to walk, or hop, in this case, for a shorter amount of time. About the hopping though. "Excuse me for one moment," Drake would say as he hopped a few feet away from the other two Digimon. With a lot of will and energy, Drake's body began to glow, and he turned back into his normal form, BlackAgumon. As Drake stepped forward toward the two, they asked him yet another question: what happened to him? "Well, I'm not exactly sure. One moment, I'm asleep in Terminus, the next, awake in a desert a month or two later. I still need time to process." Saying this, he sat on the ground before grabbing his head. Thinking about emptiness, like the time during sleep, always made his head hurt in a strange way, like it was processing too much, yet nothing at all. It was a strange feeling. Slowly, he rose to the two with a small smile on his face. "I suppose I should thank you. I probably wouldn't have made it back to Terminus without your help." Saying this, he extended his arm for a handshake.

Ah, so he could naturally evolve himself to Rookie. That was good! If he wasn't able to, then something bad must be wrong. Rex and Roy would've been happy to help him back to Rustport and share some food and water with him. They'd offer it anyway, but at least it wasn't an emergency.
"Oh... that sounds really odd" Roy said, rubbing his chin in thought. "Do you know exactly where you were sleeping? Did you feel like you were moving in that time? Or did you just... literally fall asleep and wake up here months later?"
If it was the latter option, Roy was a little worried. Drake could have been knocked out or worse, mind-controlled if that was the case. But of course it was only a possibility at this stage. It only made him want to help out more.
The dragon twins smiled and shook his claws, well, Roy did anyway, Rex's own claws merely touched Drake's gently.
"That's alright. We can head back together" Rex said, happily. "So, Drake, other than falling asleep in one place and ending up in another, what kinda things do you do around here?" he asked, making conversation as soon as they were ready to continue their walk through the desert.
