Having a mercenary digimon that was essentially an airship was very helpful for the purpose of exploring the digital world. And so this was what the young PROFIT member Colin James was doing here with his twin partners, Bellamy the Impmon and Luke the Elecmon. Colin was in his usual outfit of a red scarf, shirt, trousers and travelling boots, while Luke and Bellamy were wearing matching leather shoulder armor with their crests proudly emblazoned on them.
This time, they were here with a guest. Their old friend Brad the little Bearmon was accompanying them. Mainly because he wanted to see the good airship digimon Daedalus and his crew again. And they had much fun catching up with things aboard the Mega level while they were exploring the border lands between the North and West.
“Engaged, Bellamy? Wow!” he exclaimed at news of Coronamon agreeing to marry him. “And children too?”
“Yo, been here the whole time” the voice of another digimon said at the end of the room. Brad looked and saw a green eyed Gazimon.
“Oh, sorry, your fur kind of blended in with the room” Brad admitted. Gaz rolled her eyes.
“You’re grey too and I saw ya” she said, having an identical accent to Bellamy.
“Well, speak up next time, Gaz” Bellamy told his daughter. She often hung around with them these days, although she mostly played video games on the TV in the cabin. Later on, they soon found the elusive “Shining Sea” below, between two rocky mountain ranges.
“There it is!” Luke said, looking excitedly at the white expanse below. Daedalus then descended in for a landing, and soon after, Colin and his entourage of four digimon disembarked.
“Wow, this is a beautiful load of absolutely nothing” Gaz exclaimed as she saw nothing but white crystalline sand. Then she noticed what she was looking at was not a jagged cloud, but a massive shining crystal. “Whoooa” she breathed.
“Let’s take a closer look” Colin said. “Thanks, Daedalus, are you alright with waiting here?”
“Certainly, Colin” the Heliodramon answered. And so the crew began to walk toward the crystal, wondering what they would find here.
If you’re a friend of Colin, the twins or Brad then you’d be welcome to start the thread on Daedalus. If not, you can enter the thread by randomly wandering toward them or something. Also Brad is present as an NPC.

Exploration, exploration... exploration sounded like a fun endeavor!
"Again, why are we in a... gigantic piece of flying metal? Does not sound like the most productive thing." This was a routine at this point. Suzuran would be a mildly caustic comment about their situation at hand, then be promptly ignored just for everyone to go on with their lives. That didn't deter the fairy, however. She'd still keep trying her hardest to... avoid boredom.
"Don~'t worry!" Yup, as chipper as ever, Mana seemed to be pretty excited about the whole endeavor. Why had she boarded Daedalus in the search for a place that was mostly unexplored with somebody she knew just a little bit? Because it seemed like fun, of course!
Getting outta Kongou every now and then was probably for the best, anyway. The duo noticed how the airship began to descend slowly. That had been fast! "Seems like we are landing. Should we get ready to descend?"
A quick nod, the group doing what was due. Was the weather cold? This place was supposed to be on Northern Prominence, after all...
In any case, after the airship descended, Mana would wave a Colin amiable, getting ready to get off the ship. Once they did, she couldn't but share Gaz's reaction to the crystal. "Really pretty! Buuuu~t. I kinda forgot to ask. I guess that you're here for this thing in specific, or... are we searching for something else?"

A fully staffed, implicit P.R.O.F.I.T. mission - how exciting! It had taken many months before an endeavor like this had finally opened itself as an opportunity for Cion to work together with Colin and the twins, and the pleasant anticipation she was carrying herself with was clear as day. The silver, vulpine digimon did not know what to except, and honestly speaking she did not care either. As long as she had work and treasured friends which kept her occupied, everything else was secondary. Those were the typical effects of the bonds of affection she shared with them - and her family of course!
Although once having vowed to linger in her Mega form to attune to it, it was the presence of Luke and Bellamy which made her revert back to her Rookie stage, just as they apparently preferred to be seen. The Arnamon leaned against the interior wall of Daedalus, her arms folded as her calm gaze shifted to the windows outside. She was truly delighted by the additional presence of Brad the Bearmon and other members of the organization she belonged to, but as to not bother others she kept such joy to herself as per usual.
Meeting Gaz on the other hand had been... quite the experience. It was far from her to quickly judge the next or even dare to insult her generous, lovely hosts, but still... she was kind of a bum. Hopefully, she and Owen were doing a better job in raising Logan than the three endearing silly billys. Considering what a sweet lad the Offmon was however, there was not much doubt in her mind that he'd be doing just fine by himself in the future. Besides... Cion would always be there from him; that was a promise she'd never break.
Proudly bearing her green scarf which once belonged to a dearly beloved, she watched as the ascended Blimpmon landed, the distant sky changing into a white desert of crystals and emptiness. One might think that the Arnamon would be content in this area with all of its beaming radiance, but things could not be farther from the truth. The sophisticated, female digimon was a lady of progress, and as beautiful as the Shining Sea was - it was also empty. Seldom did she enter places such as this voluntarily, but thanks to her mellow company, it was not as bad as it could be.
"Well I won't! We'll keep in touch!" Vertigo the superior AceJetmon, Cion's personal airborne mercenary, exclaimed with his deep, semi-synthetic voice before taking to the sky to provide everyone with air recon and superiority. It was much smaller than glorious Daedalus, but also much sleeker and more importantly faster. Yet that was to be expected from a flying digimon which did not resemble a transporter plane, but a highly specialized fighter jet. The tiny marksmon smiled as her comrade turned into a speck in the sky. "Always the free birds and its... celerity." She mumbled with a chuckle, beating the dispersed sand out of her fur, booming echoes of bellowing engines lingering for a few moments.
If nothing else, it was simply useful that the Arnamon, her partner and Colin's butler could keep in touch via radio communication. Vertigo would keep them covered and Daedalus would serve as an excellent retreat in the unlikely case that things went south. Yet for that, things had to go anywhere at all, something the maiden named Mana pointed out. Remaining silent, she nodded while sticking close to chummy ol' Brad, hoping this journey would... solidify his future decisions.

It turned out that they were travelling with Mana and her twin digimon, as well as Cion. So it would seem that this would be essentially an unofficial PROFIT mission. Which was fine in Colin's books. It would be a great chance to both get to know Mana and her partners, as well as do something productive with their friends Brad and Cion.
"Ah, right" Luke said, when Mana asked what they were meant to be doing here. The Elecmon cleared his throat and spoke clearly, since he may not have been able to be heard on the ship, what with Daedalus's engines powering up for take-off.
"Basically, we're here to explore this region and take samples of the crystals when we can" he said. "While flying on a mission from Snowflake Village to Rustport, we saw this area in the border between North and West, we flew low to take a closer look, but didn't have time to land. Now we do, so, we thought we'd take a closer look at the region".
"That's pretty much it. There seems to be some kind of power emanating from the crystals, but we don't know what exactly" Colin added. "And, also checking if there's any signs of civilization here. Since this place is bordered by mountains it's pretty isolated".
The temperature was bracing, but not incredibly cold. Colin was comfortable with his shirt, scarf and leather vest, while Luke, Bellamy, Brad and Gaz were comfortable in their bare fur. The chilling winds of the North and the searing winds of the West seemed to be blocked by the mountains, creating a cool, dry desert environment.
"I see, well, I can't imagine why anyone would prefer to live here..." Brad mused, sniffing the air. "I don't see any food or water sources, but they could be closer to the mountains perhaps?"
Gaz was mostly taking in the scenery, dashing around the nearby crystal shards and took a closer look at them. "Heh, I bet these would sell for a lot if we could get 'em out".
"Well, if they prove to be safe, sure" Luke admitted. "Ah yeah, when we were travelling over here, it was dusk, and the crystals seemed to glow in the dark. So maybe we could stick around to see that?"
On the whole, they were simply here to make initial observation of the area. Colin felt a little excited about it all - here they were, possibly the first to set foot on this little part of the digital world?
Brad meanwhile turned to Cion. "So, have you been up to much lately, Cion?" he asked. Bellamy walked close as well to listen in.
Colin meanwhile spoke to Mana. "Ah, I don't think we've been on a mission together yet, so, heya" he said. "Have you been in PROFIT for very long?"

"Ooh~! That sounds like fun! Count with us on it!" Even if Mana's intent and words had been genuine, a certain fairy couldn't help to sigh at the remark. She could tolerate a certain quota of happy-go-luckiness, but this was an extreme.
Mostly because that meant in her opinion, that she had accepted to get into a flying can of sardines and go to who-knows-where, just to... help people they barely knew doing something she didn't have a whole bunch of details about?
Then again, Suzuran's opinion wasn't something everyone gave too much importance, and given that for some reason she just seemed to tag. Not the best way to make her opinion heard, but since most of it was caustic anyway...
"Crystals." Ayaka's own voice resonated with a quota of thoughtfulness at the development. She wasn't sure what to make out of it, but at least Colin had chosen an interesting enough task. It'd keep them relatively busy, to say the least. "If fortune smiles upon us, we may discover if there is more than what meets the eye about them. This location seems interesting enough, at least."
Cold climates weren't really neither fairy's favorite environmental condition, but they handled themselves well enough. None seemed particularly uncomfortable, at least.
The twins seemed to be way more interested in the crystals and their properties, however. Mana mostly... stood there, contemplating the vast expanse with a slightly awed look in her face. Maybe it had been a bit of an understatement when she had said this place was pretty. Maybe they could get a little souvenir? If these things proved to be safe, that was.
Her reverie was broken by a question about nothing more and nothing less than the organization that bounded mostly everyone present together. She smiled a bit quietly before begin to talk. "No need to be that stiff, Colin!" Approaching, she just extended her hand for him to shake; there was a bit of a size difference, but she didn't seem to mind. "I'm actually not sure, since one could say I'm not in... active duty? I'm not sure why Yuu insists on me remaining in the team, though! But I can't say that I mind...
What about you? Have you already gone through an interesting mission or anything of the like? I'd like to hear about it, if you don't mind telling!"
If anything, this had the potential to be pretty fun!

Folding her arms yet again, Cion listened quietly and with interest to the explanations of those she considered her best friends and wonderful partners to work with. As she had expected, this joint venture of theirs was merely an entertaining field trip of sorts. Exploration was not one of her strong suits, since the vulpine marksman was better suited to protect already established regions, yet with the company of her pals it sounded like a fun undertaking regardless. Besides, if the crystals had special properties to them or there was a great treasure which needed to be claimed by them, then this particular member of P.R.O.F.I.T. was a-okay with that.
'Gosh... I adjust myself properly, did I not?' The Arnamon thought as she moved her right paw for it to rest on her green scarf. Despite her change in general attitude, the tiny warden knew what it was she worked for. Even with affluence having become one of her sub-goals, taking care of her family and the people of the world at large were still her main priorities. Yet she was a faithful apprentice of the organization she belonged to anyway; always happy to please her comrades, superiors and their book balance.
And Gaz the heady Gazimon was already on her way to satisfy her curiosity. Although admiring her commitment, Cion also hoped that she would hurt herself due to her rashness. Naturally, the kind sentinel would watch out for her, yet it was upon Bellamy and Coronamon to raise their kind into a proper digimon. This topic however ceased from her mind when an always mellow Bearmon demanded her attention. Smiling, she motioned a paw to everyone else in the group before resuming her previous, stalwart stance.
"Mostly stuff with them. What about you?" The Arnamon asked chummily, genuine interest in her eyes and a sincere simper on her muzzle; never displeased by bantering with the convivial chap named Brad. Furthermore, she wanted to know if he had considered her suggestion of giving P.R.O.F.I.T. a try, or if he had not been able to decide yet.

"Yeah, it is pretty interesting" Luke said, glancing at the aerial photograph of the region they had made, examining the evidence on the ground. Curious, he leaned down and picked up a paw full of the sandy substance below. He sniffed, and could distinctly sense a saltiness to it, confirming his theory. "This used to be an inland sea, but it seems to have dried up, hence the salt. But... those giant crystals, I've got no idea why they're there".
"This stuff's salt?" Gaz asked, pinching up a small amount and tasted it with her tongue. She instantly regretted it and spat it out. "Agh! Dammit!" while it didn't taste bad or anything, it was salt mixed with quartz-like crystal and that was not very pleasant on the palate.
"...yeah... should probably not do that, Gaz" Bellamy advised, trying not to laugh as she brushed her tongue.
Bellamy meanwhile would probably have sided with Suzuran. While, yeah, it was nice that his brother was enjoying this little expedition, it was pretty boring and he could think of loads more interesting things to do than wandering around looking at crystals. Still though, if there was any latent power in them, that might be interesting to see.
Colin meanwhile was looking at his digivice and D-Terminal, glancing at its radar function. But he frowned at it. "Huh, that's strange, there seems to be something interfering in the air" he mentioned. "Other functions seem okay though, still says I can evolve my partners". The boy glanced up at the giant crystals, wondering if they were the cause.
With that mentioned, he paid attention to Mana, who approached to shake his hand. Colin did so with a smile. So apparently Mana wasn't that active in PROFIT, but was asked to stay in touch by Yuu. Well, that was nice to know.
"Ah, well, we've been pretty active around the digital world recently, mainly doing recon and such, as well as transport" Colin explained. "Although... I admit I'm a bit concerned from what I've seen. There's been a lot happening, and I can't help but get the feeling that something's... building up. And we don't know what".
Incidents like the hidden lab in the Binary Archipelago of forcibly evolving digimon; the corrupted Groundramon in the Frozen Tundra; the appearance of corrupted areas and Dark Towers, it made Colin uncomfortable. But since he was still fairly young, he didn't know what it all meant. Not even Luke could figure it out.
Brad meanwhile smiled back at Cion. "Well, I've mostly been hanging out with these guys and have lived in Kongou Island" he said. "It's very nice there, and I enjoy helping out PROFIT". There was a 'but' in there though, that still, it felt like something significant was missing. That there was a part of his life that not even all of these wonderful friends could fill. But he just didn't know what, and it wasn't insignificant either. He could feel it down to his digicore. And, just maybe, exploring here could give him some answers? Or at least, some distraction.

For a second, Mana's otherwise placid expression turned slightly serious. Well, at least she wasn't the only one perceiving the oncoming danger. However...
"I guess I'm not alone on that one." She said, a tinge of worry in her voice. "I've seen some pretty weird stuff happen as of late, and this place springing out of the blue is probably a decent indication of that. Wonder what will happen... and if we'll be ready for it, of course."
Honestly, the girl wasn't afraid of a lot of things, but the unknown had a certain creepy aura about it. How to prepare for something, if you didn't know what it was? That was a pretty good question, and one that she hadn't figured how to answer as of yet. "Oh well. Maybe it's naive, but I think that as long as there are people willing to deal with what this world might throw at them, things are more or less gonna be fine." The faeries, deciding to join the group of digimon who currently were doing... digimon stuff couldn't but stare with a bit of bewilderment at how the Gazimon referred to as Gaz just... ate a piece of a crystal.
Oh well, at least that was Ayaka. Suzuran, on the other side, was resisting to laugh as much as she could.
"Suzuran." Ayaka's stern voice was enough to stop the snickers coming from her sister. "That is not very nice."
The fairy just shrugged. "Give me a break. Something actually entertaining happening while in this salt mine is a bit of a small miracle by itself."

Salt, huh? Well it surely was not tasty, which was confirmed by Gaz acting as her proper scatterbrain-self. But it was this very aspect of her that made the Gazimon so charming - her unyielding inquisitiveness. Certainly Cion would seldom see eye to eye with her if her actions continued as they have thus far, but that did not mean that she would not get along with the mammalian monster. After all, having multiple perspectives on things often led to more verity than a single one. She personally preferred to be cautious while Bellamy's daughter was always eager to 'proceed'.
What was more on the Arnamon's mind anyway was the apparent interference which plagued Colin, specifically his digivice. The signature did not appear to actually disable functions of the gadget, but the very fact that it existed at all was reason to be concerned. One could never tell if it contained worse effects or not, hence they had to be on their guard and discover the origin of the disruptive factor. Was it perhaps a hostile entity which tried to ambush them, or maybe just a natural attribute of the unnatural desert they stood in?
"Oh, w-well I'm glad to hear that!" The vulpine archer replied to Brad, stuttering at first since she was pulled out of her thoughts by the lovable Bearmon. Of course she was happy for her dear pal having found joy in assisting their other friends, and with that P.R.O.F.I.T: indirectly as well. In the event of the cuddly digimon enjoying his days with the organization she belonged to, perhaps even finding purpose within, there was a decent chance that they would work together in the future, enabling them more shared time. This was of course a prospect which delighted the silver beast... but she was reasonable, giving her old companion all the time he needed to determine what path he wanted to travel.
Briefly noticing the half-organic half-herbal looking faeries savoring Gaz's little mishap, Cion let out a quiet cough as to unobtrusively attain the attention of her allies and trusted friends. "So... what is it we'll actually be doing?" She expressed her wonder, certain that the young lad and the twins had an idea on how to pursue their investigation... even if they had not shared it anyone else yet. She was optimistic and believing in others that way, especially when it were people she knew and had confidence in.

Colin nodded at Mana, that certainly seemed to be the case. Things happened for reasons after all, and he could tell something big was building up in the digital world.
"Yeah. Better to face it when it happens rather than worry about it" Colin agreed.
Gaz meanwhile had managed to spit out most of the crystal. "Ugh, felt like I just chewed on glass" she complained. Thankfully her tongue wasn't bleeding, the crystals weren't too sharp. She regained her composure though. "But yeah, I could taste salt, so, your theory's right Uncle Luke!"
"Heh, okay, just don't put things in your mouth that you don't mean to eat" Luke advised.
Cion then asked what it was they were actually doing. "Well, first I want to take a look at these crystals up close, then, we'll probably take a look around to see if there's any civilizations, then we can introduce ourselves to them" Luke said.
"Yep, that way we'll hopefully make contact with a new place of clients for PROFIT to help out" Bellamy added. "If they ain't here, disappointing but fine. If they are, we might be the first outsiders to see 'em".
Following that, they then approached the nearest crystal tower. It was nearly 20m high, a really impressive piece of clear rock. And its glow was quite mesmerizing. Luke approached it first.
He placed his paw on the side of the giant crystal. To his surprise, it felt... somewhat warm. Several degrees warmer than the air temperature in fact. Was it warmed by the sun? He also felt something warm inside him happen as well.
"That's... interesting" Luke admitted. This piqued Colin's curiosity. The boy approached the crystal tower as well, placing his hand on it. Indeed it felt warm. Then, something extraordinary happened. Colin's digivice on his belt suddenly came to life, and Luke began glowing with light. Colin stared, then watched as Luke grew to double his height. As the light faded, Luke was now in his champion form - Teslamon.
"...what just happened?" Bellamy asked, blinking. Gaz and Brad were shocked too.
"I dunno, I didn't even use a card to evolve him" Colin admitted. He turned to his partner. "Are you okay, Luke?"
"Uh... I think so. Wow. Wasn't expecting that" the Teslamon said. "This still happened though, that's amazing" he looked at the tower again, then at Colin. "How do you feel, Colin?"
"Uhm... a little tired, I admit, like I just evolved you to Champion the normal way" Colin said. Although that wasn't any big deal, if he could stand the energy needed to evolve them to Mega then this was nothing. But... the reaction had still occurred.
"Hmm... I definitely think we need a sample here" Luke stated, then readied his spear. In a heavy blow, he chipped away at the crystal until a large chunk was cut out of it. The glassine fragment was still glowing slightly as he placed it in a leather pouch around his waist.
"That's very interesting" Brad remarked, finding his voice at last. "Do you think... these crystals may be linked to your digivices somehow?"
"What gives ya that idea?" Gaz asked.
"Well... I mean, both Luke and Colin touching the crystal seemed to trigger his evolution to Champion. Normally that only happens when you humans use your digivices on your partners, correct?" the Bearmon hypothesized.
"I... guess so" Colin said. He turned to Luke again. "Did you focus on evolving, Luke? Or did it... just happen?"
"It just happened, I think" Luke admitted. He then turned to Mana. "Hey, do you maybe want to try it out too? You and Ayaka or Suzuran touching the tower at the same time?"
He was curious to see if this happened with the other tamer and partner duo that was present.

Before any more remarks could be made about the strange, rocky monoliths, Colin's digivice seemed to act up, prompting Luke to evolve, seemingly all the way towards Champion level.
"That is an interesting development, indeed." Ayaka commented, gazing at both the rock and the Teslamon; there seemed to be no ill effects even if the whole affair had been forced, so at least that much was a good thing. "Wonder what are exactly this things; a thorough analysis is probably in order as soon as we get back, I would assume."
Suzuran nodded while Mana herself stared in awe at what had happened, Plus Teslamon's own way to get the little souvenir they'd probably inspect after their journey was done. Maybe that was the reason why she didn't seem to hear Colin's beckoning her to do the same, at least until Suzuran... "gently" patted her in the back of the head.
"Owowow..." She said, suddenly jolting at the motion. "That was uncalled for..."
"Not at all; you should try to pay attention when somebody is talking to you. Now try and do the same thing than the other human. Having some answers right away would be pretty helpful."
It was kind of funny that the fairy was being so collaborative, but probably that was backed by a fair amount of curiosity. "Oh, right. Let's see if I can get it to work!"
She approached one of the crystals, digivice held in one hand, and gently touched it. As expected, it began to behave weirdly, just like what had happened to Colin; Suzurna was enveloped by the bright light of digivolution, and moments later... Aconitumon stood where Kodamon had been.
"Well, at least this seems to work for everyone." The fairy mused. "It is quite intriguing. Wonder how are these related to those contraptions the humans use. And if they can do other things besides this."
That could result on something super useful. Or... in something pretty dangerous; in both cases, finding out seemed to be pretty important.

Cion could not help herself but snort amusedly due to the explication of her dear friend Luke the Elecmon. Investigating the large crystals was one thing, but hoping to casually discover an ancient, hidden civilization which was still flourishing to this very day? Now she had witnessed quite a lot of abstruse events throughout her many centuries of existence, but that idea really seemed silly.
Nonetheless, if it meant spending time with companions she treasured, and contributing to the organization all of them except Brad belonged to, then she did not mind. Besides, the Arnamon was optimistic enough to at least give the thought a chance. However, disappointment would certainly not befall her in case they found nothing but crystalline sand. Shrugging with a cute grin, the vulpine beast nodded quietly, not knowing what else to say or do.
But then, this silence out of catharsis shifted into one forged out of bafflement. Seeing everyone who was bound to a digivice evolve simply by touching one of the crystals was a mind-boggling experience, especially since those affected were none the wiser of the reason why than the silver supporter. Theories of possible links were thrown around the place, but nothing was conclusive. Besides, they lacked quite a relevant amount of information, something the tiny mercenary wished to change.
"I wonder..." Cion muttered, approaching the structure as well after some flinders had been removed from it for later studies. Thus far, only the partners of digidestined had been able to digivolve; but what about unlinked digimons such as herself? Well, there was likely no harm in trying, hence she too touched the catalyst, wondering if she too would be affected by whatever force lingered within. "Brad? You wanna try as well? Maybe simultaneously with me?" She asked kindly, many possible outcomes having formed themselves within her thoughts.

The party stared in amazement as the same thing that had happened to Colin and Luke happened to Mana and Suzuran. As they touched the crystal, it seemed to trigger an evolution.
"Very curious indeed" Luke remarked, rubbing his chin with fascination. "It seems that these crystals have something to do with humans and partner digimon evolution". After all, the same thing had happened with Colin and Mana so that seemed to only confirm the hypothesis.
He took a closer look at the crystal he had chipped from the pillar, trying to make sense of it all. Meanwhile Brad looked at Cion as she offered to try out the crystal. He glanced at Luke, then back at Cion.
"Yeah... that might be worth a try" he said. After all, if the crystals worked on humans, maybe they could work on independent digimon like him? Maybe this would be the trigger to his evolution too? Brad thus approached the crystal alongside Cion and pressed it with his paw when she did. He hoped something would happen, that an evolution would occur, but... it simply didn't. He was still his Bearmon self.
"Ah... it didn't work" he said, lowering his paw with some disappointment. However, Gaz by now was curious herself.
"Ooh! Ooh! Let me try!" she said, rushing at the tower. She grabbed Brad's paw as she passed and held it to the tower as she pressed it herself, but still, nothing happened.
"Aw, sorry about that, guys" Bellamy said sympathetically, mainly to Brad. While he wasn't surprised that his daughter hadn't evolved yet, Brad seemed so keen on the matter, given how experienced he was.
Luke meanwhile was watching for the events that happened, and soon came to a hypothesis. "I think that these crystals might have something to do with digivices" he said.
"...wow, you sure?" Colin asked, surprised to hear that. Were they now standing before an edifice that could provide an answer to the mystery of digivices? This seemed like a very important discovery indeed.
"In any case, maybe we could look for any signs of civilization?" Luke then suggested. "We don't know anything about these pillars, but, we might find digimon that do". He wondered if the others would agree with him here.

This whole matter was supremely confusing; to Mana, Ayaka and Suzuran in equal parts, and it became even more so after Gaz, Brad and Cion tried to use the strange crystals. What they were supposed to make out of this situation? At least, one thing was more or less certain; those things were attuned to either partnered digimon or... digivice themselves. Maybe they were related, someway.
"At this point, the only thing we can do is make educated guesses," Ayaka said briefly as if reading Mana's thoughts. "however, at least we can say that whatever these things are, they are probably very important given their relationship to... the evolution of certain types of digimon, and probably more."
That was one way to put it, the redhead guessed as she gave a slight nod to her words. However, that wasn't where the matter ended. A pair of hums echoed Lantis' proposal. Civilization, in here?
"An interesting proposal, if I have heard them." Suzuran was the first to answer. "This place looks to be completely deserted but I guess that if we find anyone who knows about these strange crystals, maybe we will get closer to understand what they actually do."
Not to say, the fairy was curious, and in more ways than one. This discovery could be either something good... or pretty bad.

Having touched the crystalline catalyst of digivolution together with Brad and Gaz, Cion was briefly baffled to behold it not affecting the two of them. Was this object truly so picky as to simply skip solo digimons and focus on those partnered with humans? Not that it really mattered to the vulpine beast since she was more than capable of transforming and maintaining higher forms of existence by herself, but it was strange regardless. Were these crystals somehow linked with the digidestined or their devices? For the moment, it remained an enigma to everyone present.
Listening to the speculation of her partner, the silver fennec found herself sighing and shaking her head while folding her arms. "Beats me." Was all she uttered with utmost sincerity, having no past memories of ever having encountered such a... whatever it was. Yet they were not their destination anyway, for Colin, Bellamy and Luke sought to find remnants of a past civilization... or perhaps a still prospering one. It was amusingly silly, but an entertaining activity the Arnamon did not mind joining. After all, why else would she be here?
"Sure, why not? If there is something heavy that needs moving, just call me." She offered, knowing her minor powers in distorting gravity often proved useful for minor tasks such as levitating objects and alike. Once they found a blocked entrance of sorts, they didn't want to cause a cave-in by utilizing brute strength instead of finesse - at least that was Cion's opinion of her unwound yet clever male friends.
