7:10 to Terminus [Kat and Strange]

The hustle and bustle of the station was usually the only thing most could hear as they walked with the crowds. Digimon and humans sharing conversations, announcements on arrivals and departures blaring over the ambient noise, always someone rushing to catch their train before it left. To Viktor, it was no different than a Subway in New York or the London Underground. The difference there is that he could walk a little bit easier.
Given that they just fought three Megas and several lower level digimon, a disguise was in order. Viktor broke out his holosuit and Genesis did the same. Unfortunately for Viktor, his was preset to that of a Gatomon. While he didn't hold the power of one, he shared it's weight, height and general body composition, which was an issue for trekking long distances and not being used to it.
"I should have practiced more." his voice was changed as well, to emulate that of a Gatomon.
"Clothes are uncomfortable." Genesis pulled at her button-up shirt.
Viktor pointed with a gloved paw, "Well, at least you're not two feet tall. I'm struggling to keep up with this crowd."
Genesis smiled as she pet his head, much to Viktor's dismay, "I could always carry you!"
Viktor pushed her hand away, "Not a chance."
She mock frowned then shrugged. The Duo continued their march to the ticket stand, where they would hitch a ride to Terminus central, then out to the edges of the Skies. They had plenty of time before the train arrived, one perk of Viktor's punctual nature. However, it would be two hours before it left. They decided to sit and wait, as the tickets weren't even for sale yet. With the pair literally only fighting and sleeping, it was clear they needed sustenance. Viktor looked to Genesis, holding a gloved paw out;
"Hand me my bag."
Genesis chuckled, reaching in the large backpack to pull out a smaller one. Viktor planned ahead, buying a child's backpack for when he was in his Gatomon holosuit. Genesis thought it was adorable.
"Ready for grade school!" she handed him the bag, which Viktor snatched and rolled his eyes;
"Just for that, you're only getting whatever I order."
Genesis sighed as Viktor walked off to a nearby food kiosk. Despite being so tiny, he managed to make his way in line and keep his place. Despite some other larger digimon looking as if they'd like to skip. Maybe they knew better. Maybe it was the fact that his eyes remained the same icy blue even in this form. Albeit much larger.
Genesis looked around as she adjusted her skirt, a few patrons walking by, others eyeing her or her bag. She thought of a quicker way to get to Terminus central... there was a train leaving now, but no ticket, no board. If only there was a way to procure one.
All things considered, it wasn't too far fetched, was it?

Katsura was wandering through the station, in her arms she was carrying Nyao the blackgatomon. As often was the case, she had just traveled back from the digital world with the intention to go home. For old times sake, Katsura had decided to use the train system today even though that meant spending 10 bits on a ticket. Caught up in thinking about what they should do when they got home, Katsura noticed what looked like a gatomon and his partner trying to get into the train she has just left. As she looked near a kiosk it was obvious that this they really wanted to catch the train and fast, this gave Katsura an idea. Knowing that he'd be unlikely to gain a regular ticket in time, she walked up to Genesis just as her desperation peaked with a friendly yet surprisingly professional attitude.
"Would you like to buy a ticket? Only 100 bits."
Little did Genesis know that Katsura is not only trying to sell an used ticket but is charging ten times the sales price knowing full well that Genesis has minimal time to make a well thought out decision. To increase the pressure, Katsura tried poking Genesis' fist with the ticket to increase the pressure to make a blind decision.

Genesis leaned back as she sat with her legs crossed, listening to conversations between other parties. She got so lost in her eavesdropping that when a young girl and her Blackgatomon approached, she was almost caught off guard. She offered to sell her a ticket for 100 bits. Which, to the disguised Renamon whose never seen a the price of a ticket, seemed reasonable.
Genesis smiled gingerly at the little girl, "Aren't you sweet? 100 bits you say?"
She pursed her lips, smiling as she stood up and leaned down, standing face to face with the little girl.
"That sounds reasonable. Though... I have to ask.... where are your parents?"
Genesis reached in her purse and handed the little girl the money she asked. It wasn't like Viktor was struggling for bits. 100 for a quick ride felt like a steal to her. As the girl would no doubt begin to leave, Viktor would approach, carrying two wraps of chicken in his gloved paws.
"Who's this?" The disguised Gatomon said, handing Genesis one.
"Oh, I didn't catch her name. But she sold me this ticket for the next train ride out. Look!"
Viktor traded his wrap for the ticket and examined it. Pointing to the little girl,
"Don't move. Genesis? What does the date say on this?"
Genesis read it and frowned, "Yesterday..."
Viktor sighed, not even bothering to ask how much money she spent on it: "Listen. I don't know what you're playing at, but whatever my di- err human spent on the ticket. I would ask for it back. You do that, I won't report you to the authorities."
Viktor held out a gloved paw, looking up with his large, feline eyes. Genesis only sat, looking a little ashamed as she crossed her arms and waited to see what this little girl would do.

Katsura seemed rather secretive about the whereabouts of parents. When Genesis brought up that question, she made an incredibly girly giggle as if it was the funniest joke in the world. "Teheee, don't worry about me. I'll be safe." A savvy person aware of Japanese customs would notice that Katsura uses atai rather than watashi to address herself. Genesis was right to assume that Katsura would be leaving as soon as the exchange was completed, she had a suspiciously fast walking style. Apparently it didn't took Viktor long to realize why she suddenly was in hurry. As Viktor ordered her to stop moving, Katsura obeyed no questions asked. After taking a glance on Genesis, she turned dismissive and keeping eye contact with Katsura proved difficult since she wanted to stare in every direction aside from on them. Obviously she knew exactly why she was stopped long before Viktor played detective. Only after hearing the full accusation and threat about calling legal authorities could the girl be bothered to look Viktor in the eyes. And then she relapsed back into the giggly schoolgirl persona Genesis saw 2 minutes ago. "Hehe-he you're funny! What are you going to say? That the digital world is real? You do know that only a human with knowledge about the digital world knows what bits are? I'm not even sure the digital world has authorities for you to report me to and they certainly won't believe you in the human world. Besides I promised a ticket and I delivered a ticket. Are you telling me that is not a train ticket?"

Maybe Viktor wasn't being clear enough. Maybe it was the fact that he was a literal kitten that stood before her. Regardless of what she offered, more than the principle of stealing was there. If she asked for the money, sure. If she'd earned the money, even better. Even the actual stolen items were easily passible. What got under Viktor's skin was the lying.
"You have a very literal sense on how things work. But you stole from us, plain and simple. I do not want to report you to anyone. I'm sure your parents are looking for you somewhere."
Genesis stepped up, her figure much taller than the group now. She spoke as she clipped Viktor's digivice to her hip; the black and grey camouflaged device beeped softly when she spoke;
"Give it back, kid. Or they're will be trouble!" she leaned down, as if to personify her point. Viktor shot her a glance. She was looking for a fight, he was not.
"Not from us." he said, speaking through his teeth as he looked at Genesis. The notion may have been found curious as the 'Digimon' was the one who seemed to be more... 'in charge'.
"She stole from us!"
Viktor almost kept his body facing the girl, but turned his head to speak to Genesis, "She's a child."
Viktor turned back to the girl and held his gloved paw out, "The authorities in the digital world are very real and very juvenile. They don't really read into situations like law enforcement does in Japan."
"Wonder what they'll say when we told them you stole from one of their own."
Viktor sighed, punching his sinus. Genesis was making her stance clear, that much was certain. Viktor just hoped neither of them engaged her.
Then they'd have a real problem.

The big twist about Katsura was that she didn't live with either of her biological parents for the time being. That being said she had an adoptive parent who happens to run an academy but Katsura wasn't going to leak personal information that definitely would be used against her. Instead, Katsura looked away from Viktor when he threatened to report her. "Good luck finding them though I'm sure some medium could find my dad. Not that he would have cared anyway." Genesis started to directly threaten Katsura at this point, the girl flinched in scare revealing Nyao in all her pride. Obviously had Viktor not intervened Nyao would have provided Genesis with the fight she wanted. As a matter of fact, Nyao had a sadistic spark in her eyes that lasted until Genesis backed down it didn't take a genius to figure that Nyao would get more out of such fight than mere an opportunity to defend her partner.
By the way, Viktor then talked about the digital world having in fact legal authorities. "Huh, I never noticed I have seen plenty of injustice in the digital world. Nyao? Did you know that?" "Well I heard that DATS used to be a thing but then they vanished. Another rumor has that Colin made a new weaker organization." "Airblimp guy? Hmm good for him I guess. Do you know him?"

It was clear Nyao wanted to engage in a fight with Genesis, and Genesis fed right into it. Her power made her overconfident, and that was a problem.
Though, even as Viktor read into both the irl and digimon, sizing them up, he didn't really have a need to worry. As he would try to quell the two, Genesis would speak up again;
"Oh-ho-ho! You're going that route? I can see your pathetic little death stare. You're not fooling anyone, kitten."
She pointed at Nyao, "Forget the money. We settle this the old fashioned way."
Viktor held out two gloved paws between them, "Enough. Only a fool insights violence on a whim. Genesis. You know better than this. If we fight here and now, Luminas will be swarming."
Viktor sighed, the principal of dishonesty was all he cared about, but as Genesis ramped up a fight, he couldn't risk bringing in two governments on his head;
"Listen. You obviously need to money if you resort to such desperate tactics to obtain it."
Genesis scoffed, leaning back on her foot as she picked up Viktor forcefully, as though to mimic the little girl, "She couldn't handle us anyway." she said as she wrapped her arms around the disguised cat, who was obviously not enjoying it.
Viktor only sighed as he hoped the engagement would cease. He was certain they could handle these two. But he didn't want to.

If only they knew, Katsura was actually a relatively experienced tamer. More importantly she had access to SM level power, cards and she was wearing her Crest of loyalty. If Katsura wanted to she might be able to give Genesis a run for her money. If being the operative word here, Katsura certainly won't bother making such a fuss especially not over 100 bits.
Nyao respecting Katsura's lack of entitlement just remained indifferent to the remarks about how harmless the duo is. However Nyao was equally indifferent at the thought of combat. Katsura likewise had... Other priorities. "Luminas, huh? I thought they kept to themselves honestly. I remember last time I been there. They're extremely strict about everything." That's Katsura's opinion though, it might be biased it might not. Who knows. Katsura listened in on how Viktor was saying that Katsura would obviously need money very much to do something like that. For a very long time that would have been the case what she had yet to tell was that she has recently been adopted by Calysta a headmistress of an academy. To Katsura conning people for profit was now just a bad habit on pair with biting nails. It's amazing how detached someone can be about consequences for other people. In fact Katsura looked away distantly when it was brought up. "Yeah, I know." You heard that right, Katsura still doesn't have any problem with being deceptive. She even managed to pull off an almost spot on depressed expression that goes well with her dead emotionless eyes. By not turning her look back at Viktor she additionally distanced herself from the conversation, apparently thinking she can simply weasel out of punishment.

This girl, as much as she convinced Genesis Viktor's scolding was effective, was not fooling Viktor. He saw right through her. With the conversations they'd already have, Viktor could begin to pull out minuet information from her. A tick of the eye here, a swallow there. She wasn't sorry and it wasn't that she didn't care either... she simply wanted for them to leave. As was with any con. More than that, Viktor could see it. Her crest, the confidence in her and her partner that was all to familiar in Genesis.
"Super mega, hmm?"
Genesis tilted her head. Them? Super Mega? She couldn't believe it. But then again, this is why Viktor was also so ahead of most people he fought. He could read them. Still, it was hard to believe a child and her cat were capable of such destruction.
"More reason not to fight then. We won't be able-"
Genesis blurted out as she hugged Viktor closer, "Yeah? So what? We're super mega too!"
Viktor looked up and narrowed his eyes. Like daggers from his head that stabbed right into Genesis. She got the idea and looked away in a similar manner as the child.
"If we fight. It'll destroy half of Terminus. We'll both be hunted, and you'll be in the shoes of my partner and I."
Genesis sighed, still glaring at Nyao with an almost feverish hunger. Two Super Megas battling it out? The amount of experience they could garner with tangling with another of their own kind. That high up, everything else was moot. It was all about you and your foe. Armor digivolutions, eggs, crests, in the realm of the Super Mega, it was all useless and it was about one thing:
The fighter.
But Viktor had other ideas. To him, it was a responsibility. They absolutely could not use their abilities for anything less than self defense. But to Genesis... it was a title. Like a badge to a club only a very select few got into.
Despite all of this, Viktor snapped his claws and snapped her out of her animalistic glare. The BlackGatomon likely thought little as she was human.
She would set Viktor down and walk to the pair, almost standing over them;
"Don't take my partner's mercy as a sign of weakness you little immature children. We could easily wipe the floor with you, Super Mega or not."
Viktor sighed and walked over, stepping between them;
"Ignore her. Take your money and leave."
At this point, Viktor didn't care about the money. He was just trying to stop Genesis from basically setting off a weapon of mass destruction in the middle of a train station. Because if both pairs fought... it would be the equivalent of setting off a nuclear weapon.
He just hoped he wouldn't have to try to defuse two bombs!

Katsura had almost forgotten how much destructive power Nyao held. Thanks to Viktor and Genesis ranting about Super mega, Katsura came to the conclusion that at this point Nyao could level half of Terminus. But after some thought that was probably right considering that as ultimate Nyao had indirectly started a large forest fire and as mega a brawl caused a whole castle to collapse. Thank God it was someone she was supposed to send a "message". Of all things Viktor had told Katsura today the one thing lesson she visibly had learned was her power level, a lesson that made her shrug. "Huh"
The intention and the underlying threat was lost on her, she was still trying to contemplate what kind of political system the digital world had. In fact Katsura was currently a bit annoyed that Viktor didn't elaborate on any of her questions in that regard. Nyao meanwhile had little reaction to the hostile atmosphere, judging by her lack of reaction you could conclude that the only things stopping her from fighting was Katsura's pacifism and that Genesis has yet to to put actions behind her threats. In other words Katsura and Nyao mirrored Viktor in not wishing to fight only in a more discreet and therefore socially acceptable way. There were never any bomb to defuse. For the same reason, Katsura immediately took the cue to leave when the opportunity arrived. She just made a polite nod with her head and walked away still carrying Nyao. <Thread exit>

Viktor turned his head, glaring at Genesis. If not for the other two being as level headed as Viktor, a fight very well could have spilled out. Luckily, the girl and her cat did just that. Took the pocket change they managed to Con off Genesis and wander off to the next idiot that would fall for their all to simplistic schemes. They'd burn themselves, Viktor had no time to parent someone.
But he did have time to correct something.
"What parts of that do you not understand? Two Super Megas in a city this crowded would most certainly lead to a high body count."
Genesis scoffed, picking Viktor back up, "How can you let someone punk you like that?"
Viktor sighed, letting himself be carried, "The weak boast, Genesis."
She mirrored his sigh and picked up their bag, throwing it over her shoulder as they got in line for the actual ticket sale. That was an interesting interactions to say the least, but there was a job coming up, and Mikemon was waiting. If they waited any longer, they might actually be late.
Genesis would have her fill soon. Luminas was their target, after all.
