Continued from Chaos in the Wasteland"Kaiser Nail!"
Tch - how did it even come to this? One moment the WereGarurumon was on his supply route; the next, complete pandemonium breaks out in the middle of the wasteland! As that red mass sprouted in the distance, Sebastian had only one thought in mind: get as far away from here as possible, and help whoever was nearby get to safety. In his retreat, however, he'd been cut off by a rather peculiar monster: a Reppamon.
Or rather, something that had the general shape of a Reppamon. The wolf's claws clashed with the bladed tail of the Reppamon, its crimson luster burning against the hand as its eye almost looked on in glee. In that awkward exchange, the weasel's fox mask, black in color, was a mere inch from the Ultimate's own. Ordinarily this would have been a farce of a fight, but it seemed that, somehow, this WereGarurumon was being overrun!
"Get... off!" Finally, he was able to press his boot against the side of the Reppamon, the tainted Digimon's feet digging into the peat moss of the earth. To it's assistance, a single one of the D-Reaper's agent, a Pendulum Feet (X) hovering above. Somehow, its cable seemed important enough, the WereGarurumon stepping for another approach -
"!! Damn it, why now!" At this most unfortunate time, the older Digimon's knee buckled under its weight, and the merciless Reppamon planted its claw right against his back... the tip of it's tail nearing it's neck.
"💧︎◆︎♍︎♒︎ ⬥︎♏︎♋︎🙵■︎♏︎⬧︎⬧︎📬︎ 👎︎□︎■︎🕯︎⧫︎ ⬥︎□︎❒︎❒︎⍓︎📪︎ ⧫︎♒︎♓︎⬧︎ ⬥︎♓︎●︎●︎ ♌︎♏︎ □︎❖︎♏︎❒︎ ⬧︎□︎□︎■︎📬︎"
With that incomprehensible muttering echoing into his ear, the WereGarurumon tensed up, bracing himself...

The dark area proper was a place that K hadn't been to properly; if anything it was a location that she had heard about from several people. She had never really considered going there up until the point that she had learned that one of her contacts was going to be there.
It was a good way to get started on a long road to connect in unorthodox places; it only made the relationship between a contact and the 'customer' stronger.
The shutmon was in the air when she caught wind of an attack being called out. It was somewhat down closer to the ground, if not exactly on it. With a small frown she'd let herself slide down a 'slope' of air.
What she was greeted with was not what she was expecting, there was some kind of digimon that looked quite like a reppamon that was attacking What looked to be a very familiar Weregarurumon.
Her eyes widened slightly and she let out an irritated snarl before sliding down the 'slope' faster. Her blades switching quickly from their 'sheathed' mode to the 'attack' mode. Her objective was clear. Help the WereGarurumon deal with this thing as he seemed to be having problems and find out what the deal was with that Reppamon.
"Hey! Leave him alone!"
The shutmon snarled and kicked off of the 'slope' trying to bring her forearm blades to bear against the Reppamon. She didn't like how close the tip of it's tail was getting to the weregarurumon's neck...

"D... damn it..."
Was he going to be cut down here, of all places, by such a demented, incomprehensible beast? Sebastian was well-versed in the Dark Area by this point, but something like this seemed far different, and even far crueler, than he could have ever imagined. That red field off in the distance threatened to pull the continent under...
... Not that it looked like he'd ever see the effects of it. He slowly closed his eyes, trying to pull himself away from the moment -
- What the - Shutmon?! Hearing K's threat, the Reppamon returning an aggressive snarl, the beast nevertheless pushed himself away from the WereGarurumon, letting that blade stab into the peat moss between them. Above, the single Pendulum Feet agent gave a click in response, and with a swing of one of its hooks, let a single metal ball land next to the Shutmon and Sebastian - a metal ball that would start to pulse a red color, a definite tick hidden underneath its casing.
Sebastian gave a groan, now struggling to get back up on his feet. The shattered remnants of his cane around the battlefield showed that this would be a difficult feat to do by himself, especially with the Reppamon and Pendulum Feet staring them down!
"⚐︎□︎♒︎📬︎ 💧︎◆︎♍︎♒︎ ●︎□︎⍓︎♋︎●︎⧫︎⍓︎📪︎ ❍︎⍓︎ ♎︎♏︎♋︎❒︎ ⬧︎♒︎◆︎⧫︎❍︎□︎■︎📬︎" The weasel chuckled at a distance, as those few seconds passed, the ball giving a bright, red glow...

The fact that sebastian seemed to give up so quickly was somewhat frustrating to her; but she could understand. This creature in front of her was nothing like she had ever run into.
It looked like a digimon but didn't seem to act like one, it was far too aggressive and just gave her a completely different vibe than what she usually got from bestial digimon.
The single metal ball that landed near the both of them made the Shutmon flinch visibly. What was that thing? She didn't know but she really didn't like how it pulsed red and a faint ticking could be heard.
The groan from sebastian was information enough that she wasn't going to be able to move him and herself quick enough to get out of the way of whatever this thing was going to do.
She had maybe a few moments; but it wasn't like her to hesitate this early on in a fight. She quickly ran to the 'time bomb' attempted to scoop it up like one would scoop up a ball... Before throwing it as hard as she could at the Reppamon. Fully intending to hit the other with it.
The shutmon didn't like how it was talking, it sent absolute shivers up and down her spine. What was this thing? What was that red field off of in the distance? Were they connected? There were far too many questions that needed to be answered.
"I haven't a clue what it's saying Sebastian, but we need to get you out of here!"

Oh, the Shutmon was clever! As the bomb was flicked back towards the Reppamon, the weasel gave a growl, as the Pendulum Feet moved itself right against the ball's blast. Just as it would hit the scythe-monster's cloak, the red light from the ball would reach a blinding peak, before exploding outwards in a powerful. red explosion!
Fortunately for the Reppamon, the Pendulum Feet absorbed the brunt of the blast - the Reppamon himself shook a bit of dirt out of its fur, no worse for wear. The D-Reaper agent, however, looked to be missing the left half of its body, a sheer red edge visible at the edges of the rest of its body. The damage, however, did not seem to last: from the wound, a red mass started to bubble out, taking the rough shape of the missing section of the monster. Soon enough, the color of the cloak would return as well, the monster showing no signs of damage from the prior explosion.
But perhaps K's attention wouldn't be there: as the Shutmon tried to talk to Sebastian, the Reppamon began to sprint towards the two of them. The metal tail flicked to its left side, a harsh red glow forming around it. As the light snapped, the blade would double in size, a sheer red color encompassing all but the blade's ecstatic eye!
"☹︎♏︎♋︎❖︎♏︎ ♒︎♓︎❍︎📪︎ 🙵📬︎ ☠︎□︎📫︎□︎■︎♏︎ ⬥︎♓︎●︎●︎ ♐︎♋︎◆︎●︎⧫︎ ⍓︎□︎◆︎ ♐︎□︎❒︎ ●︎♏︎♋︎❖︎♓︎■︎♑︎ ⧫︎♒︎♓︎⬧︎ ❍︎♏︎⬧︎⬧︎ ♋︎●︎□︎■︎♏︎📬︎"
"Ugh... let's face it, there's no way we're leaving with you dragging me along." Sebastian growled, finally getting up on his knee. "We're going to have to kick this thing's ass, first..."
Not that the Reppamon was going to play fair! Pivoting off his front foot, the Reppamon swung around, aiming that enhanced blade to slam into K's side. Should she try and dodge, well, Sebastian would be right in the line of fire!
Log: Pendulum Feet is regenerating. Reppamon used 'Reaper's Scythe'.

The fact that the other creature; what ever the hell it was? Was able to take the ball's explosion directly and from what she could tell was just mildly inconvenienced by the fact it was now missing about roughly half of it's body. That ugly red edge that was around the rest of the body making the shutmon flinch. She didn't like how it looked and the fact it quickly regenerated was incredibly worrying.
Her eyes flicked down from that strange creature to see the reppamon sprinting forward towards the tired weregarurumon and herself. Gritting her teeth she had to agree with sebastian's argument and just as quickly she had to act to deal with the large tail blade from the reppamon.
Something growled deep within her, it was a primal growl that was tempered by the sheer amount of anger and emotions that she was still dealing with. The shutmon's blades ignited with a fiery flame that seemed to sear the very air around it.
"Flame-Blade"
The shutmon snarled as the reppamon swung it's attack at her. She could tell what it wanted to do but even with that attack she had an idea. She'd make a stabbing motion straight down towards the eye of the blade.
Sure she might get hit from this thing, but it was important to cut off as many avenues as the enemy had available to them. Even if she missed her blade would gouge out the ground and burn away at it proving how deadly the blades had become...

As the Shutmon's anger flared in her eyes, the Reppamon committed to its approach, aiming that fierce blade to try and slice right on through the Shutmon. Both had readied their blades: the weasel moved to carry through with a wide slice, while K tried to stab down at a very particular part of the Reppamon's blade - the eye! All things considered, it was a relatively risky maneuver: if she even missed by an inch, or perhaps even if she got a hit dead-center, a downward stab at the flat of the blade wasn't going to completely stop the weasel's slash! It was all a matter if...
Tink!
... the eye itself would allow it! K would already know, from her time at the church, that a Reppamon's tail had a mind, separate from the Reppamon's own. Seeing the flaming blade and its impending doom moving swiftly towards its weakest point, the blade, independent of the weasel's own movement, would twitch, the dagger landing a good three inches behind the eye! The flames seared out, singing Reppamon's tail and fur, even driving the blade downwards - but he'd carry through! Angled lower, the sword's new arc would be level with K's hip. Should the blade hit, it would likely carry through several inches into the opposing ultimate, burning to the touch. And it wasn't as if K would have much room to dodge or parry, either!
Back in the distance, that cloaked monster would finally regain its full shape, its own masked face observing the fight from a distance.
Log: Reppamon's tail flicks in response to K's stab, making the stab miss the eye! Reppamon carries through with 'Reaper's Scythe', with most of the momentum in tact! Reppamon's passive - Any attacks that land leave a red plaque at the point of impact - corrosive and burning to the touch.

Oh what a foolish choice K had made, had she instead tried to block it with her blades she wouldn't have to suffer what was coming next. She wasn't fast enough to pull away or dodge this attack and paid the consequences for trying something outlandish.
Sure she managed to hit the blade itself and cause some damage to the Reppamon's fur... But. The trade off was not enough. She visibly recoiled and shuddered at the blade biting into her hip. It burned far too much for a regular attack and hurt twenty times more than what she was expecting. The sharp pain made her exhale explosively and without a pause she'd curl her fist up and attempt to 'punch' the reppamon in the side of the head... With her blade still extended and the Flame-blade still going.
She could feel something deeper growl again, it wanted to fight. It wanted to participate. It still had the rage from what felt like months ago. She almost let it at this moment but with the reppamon so close and sebastian as he was that explosive digivolution would only end badly....
She could feel the painful growth of the red plaque in the wound, and it threatened to overwhelm her completely. What was she to do? If she didn't do something about it.. well.. She might not have much of a leg left if it made another attempt at it. Or perhaps it'd just saw through the remaining part?
She didn't like the implications.
But there wasn't much she could do, she wasn't ready to take that form yet. It wouldn't last long enough....

"K!"
From the WereGarurumon's perspective, it had all happened in an instant: the Reppamon's blade had narrowly undercut the Shutmon's dagger, the bladed tail digging deep into the purple canine's hip. Had she been a lesser form, it would have almost certainly cut her in two... but whether through sheer willpower or adrenaline, K was swift to give her response!
And this one, the Reppamon wouldn't be able to fully dodge: ducking its masked head under the blade itself, K's fist caught the side of the weasel's head, thankfully blowing the beast backwards! Of course, the damage was already done: a large gash had been embedded deep in the ultimate's side, the red plaque of the D-Reaper coating deep over that wound, threatening to burn into her system. The Reppamon knew that the Shutmon was in a bad way - one more push against this crippled opponent would be all it took. With a cackle, the beast started to prowl forward:
❄︎□︎□︎ ♌︎♋︎♎︎📪︎ 🙰♏︎⬧︎❍︎□︎■︎🕯︎⬧︎ ♌︎●︎♏︎⬧︎⬧︎♏︎♎︎📬︎ ❄︎□︎□︎ ♌︎♋︎♎︎📪︎ ♓︎■︎♎︎♏︎♏︎♎︎✏︎ That growl was followed by a slight cackle... but, just two steps in, the weasel gave a visible wince. Gritting its fangs, forcing its aggressively-positioned tail to rest behind himself, the beast gave a frustrated, strained growl:
"Not... her... I ⬥︎♓︎●︎●︎... won't..."
Was it struggling? Gnashing its fangs in frustration, the Reppamon forcibly gave another whip of its tail, this time from a distance - unseen, a sharp arc of wind would be aimed to cut across K's body, from her shoulder to her good hip!

Thankfully her strike landed home along side the reppamon's head. She could tell that it wasn't a whole lot of actual damage past blowing it backwards and was likely going to have very little actual effect on the reppamon as a whole. Whatever this creature was and whatever link it had with the floating thing was likely problematic in some fashion.
K could tell that Sebastian was likely worried with such an attack landing on her, along with her somewhat lax reaction. She was still on that edge of uncertainty and there was a level of anger that poisoned her reason and responses. The words that the reppamon followed suit with garbled and warped; things that she still didn't understand.
It stepped towards her but there was a visible wince followed by a somewhat familiar voice. Her eyes widened and the shutmon looked rather taken back for a moment. Before a growl of her own spread on her lips; several questions answered in an instant.
But that was a paltry amount compared to sheer amount of rage that was threatening to boil over. There was a loud cracking sound and a sharp light of digivolution engulfed her body sending her further up her chain of forms.
The light broke to reveal CresGarurumon, but something was clearly off. There was a gutteral growl and with one hand she'd slap the arc of wind out of existence. There was a cold moment afterwards where deep blue eyes stared at the reppamon. The deep guttural voice that was so close to K's normal voice in this form rang out; but there was a such a sheer amount of rage in the words that it was obvious the digimon was seconds away from doing... something
"A beast only in form, but not in spirit."
The large digimon took it's glaive in two hands, drawing the polearm back as though to strike and then leapt forward. Leading the jump with it's left leg.
EBONY STRIKE
The CresGarurumon attempted to bring the slower moving strike down upon the reppamon. If it missed it'd create a rather large gouge in the ground....
Flame Blade has ended due to Digivolution Flame blade CD: [0/2]
CresGarurumon has used Ebony Strike! Ebony Strike: Using it's polearm this digimon may empower it's next strike with an explosive amount of force. Allowing it to do a severe amount of damage. It may be used consecutively but is a slow moving attack.

It seemed that the Reppamon wasn't going to be left much room to think or struggle! As the light of Digivolution tore out from K's body, the single scythe of wind scattered by the sheer force of the mega's hand, the Reppamon was left to growl. Staring down this much stronger - but still significantly wounded - foe, a deep snarl built up on the weasel's lips, underneath the mask.
"💧︎♒︎♏︎🕯︎⬧︎ ♋︎●︎❒︎♏︎♋︎♎︎⍓︎ □︎■︎ ♎︎♏︎♋︎⧫︎♒︎🕯︎⬧︎ ♎︎□︎□︎❒︎✏︎ 🙵♓︎●︎●︎ ♒︎♏︎❒︎✏︎"
Wincing slightly in response to his own words, the masked monster's instincts forced its response: with that slow, leading kick right towards the Reppamon, the weasel once more pivoted on his front foot. With a flash, that extended scythe appeared once more, this time aimed to slice at that approaching, armored knee. And this time, the Reppamon didn't attack alone...
... After all, the Pendulum Feet had regenerated! Like a vicious bee whose hive was just decimated, the cloaked construct would float right towards K's position, its cloak expanding open to reveal a vast expanse of wires, each with a small, scythed hook at the end! It would try and connect with K's chest-piece - should it connect, the Pendulum Feet's wires would stretch out, trying to fiercely attach itself to the mega!

K had several options in front of her; in order to deal with the reppamon to allow for the both of them to really escape. As she couldn't do much about the floating bastard at the moment with the one on the ground.
Once again those garbled words came out and she felt a shiver roll down her form. She could feel the hesitation behind all the anger. In order to parry the blade that was encroaching on her knee the CresGarurumon was forced to abandon her Ebony Strike in favor of using Parry instead. Her strong polearm instead shifting from attack to a defensive end. Moving to meet the strike head on instead.
She was so pre-occupied with dealing with the reppamon that she wasn't anticipating the Pendulum feet to actually make any actions outside of observing. There was a moment of surprise and the mega recoiled before attempting to swat the Pendulum feet out of the air with her hand, though she'd miss rather poorly.
It didn't have a problem connecting with her chest piece, nor spreading out which forced the mega to drop her polearm in attempt to try to pry it off of her like you would a leech.
"Bloody.. Hell..."
Ebony strike has been canceled!
Parry: This digimon may parry a strike or ability taking reduced if not no damage depending on the type of ability or strike. Once every two posts.

A leech was an apt description.
As that polearm harshly clashed against the Reppamon's scythe, the weasel felt the recoil throughout his whole body, easily blown back a few feet by that push. A slight scratch was left directly on that weapon, a small amount of the D-Reaper's plaque starting to eat away at it... though, right now, that wasn't K's main concern.
No, right now, she would have that cloaked monster gripped tight around her torso, hooks easily taking hold over those spikes on the golden armor's left and right sides. The weapon was discarded, as K tried to rip the D-Reaper right off. Obviously, the Pendulum Feet protested this, more of its hooks moving to tie and wrap around K's back. That said, it seemed more interested in holding the grapple than trying to drag its blades...
... And the reason for that would become quite apparent. Beneath that cloak, four visible points of red light started to pulse, awfully similar to the first bomb that K had kicked away. The D-Reaper's agents had no survival instinct, and only a programmed goal to take out whatever targets could threaten the hive. It would only take a few seconds - should the bombs end up going off at point blank, in addition to them having the same force as what split the Pendulum Feet in two before, the entire mass of red plaque that made up the D-Reaper would cake itself deeply against the CresGarurumon.
Even struggling for control, the weasel still managed a cackle in the distance. It didn't want to get close at this point, of course, but it would relish in her misery.
Log: Pendulum Feet is attempting to self-destruct!

The fact that the reppamon was staying away now that she had knocked them back a few feet was a small blessing to be sure. Though her weapon being eaten away from it was most certainly the least of her concerns.
The cloaked creature gripped her tighter and easily took holds over her armor. She cursed the armor's ornate way of being made. The spikes only giving it handholds and the sheer ability to latch on more and more hooks. She was in a bad way as she wasn't sure what it was intending to do...
Then there was the red light beneath the cloak, though only a few points were immediately apparent. Her eyes widened a bit and the cresgarurumon tried one last time to wrench the Pendulum feet from her bosom.
To little succes. With a snarl she'd hunker down after a quick second; taking the best defensive posture she could as her only real defensive move kicked in earnest.
"TEN FOLD DEFENSE."
She wasn't ready for the sheer level of pain that was going to be introduced to her. When the explosion happened in earnest the mega was flung off of her feet and landed heavily on her back. The digimon sat there un-moving for a long moment, her form shuddering as the mass of red plaque caked itself against her. The sheer amount of damage was enough to destablize the cresgarurumon's form and the mega was shunted all the way down to rookie.
She didn't have much in the way of movement other than trying to sit up slowly; the red plaque that was on her leg and now most of her chest was painfully apparent. But the rookie tried her best to stagger up to her feet.
"F-feh... S-Sebastian g-get out of here...."
Ten Fold Defense: Taking a defensive posture this digimon reduces it's taken damage by all sources incredibly. In fact so much so that any attacks in the area, friend or foe deal less damage completely wether or not this digimon is the target. This may be used for a single post and has a three post cool down.

The damage was done: shielding his eyes from that incredible display of crimson light, the WereGarurumon could only look on in the aftermath. The CresGarurumon, just moments ago a proud, defiant warrior, now laid on her back, struggling to even sit up. His dear friend told him to run - and at first, Sebastian protested: "K, I can't-"
At that note, a scythe of wind blew past, right between the wolf and the fox - enough to even take a bit of fur off of the tip of his head. He looked over, that Reppamon prowling close, his eyes solely on the Renamon. As much as he told himself he couldn't leave her behind, what could he do? Try and carry her off with a bum leg? Try and fight something like that, with a bum leg? Growling, Sebastian gave a low nod: "I'll be back, with someone who can help." Telling himself that much, begging for his knee to hold out, the wolf darted towards that dark horizon.
Though, despite Sebastian's illusions that this Renamon could hold out, the Reppamon had quite the advantage here. Even now, that demented voice cackled under the mask:
"❄︎♒︎♋︎⧫︎🕯︎⬧︎ ♓︎⧫︎📪︎ ♑︎◆︎❒︎◆︎📬︎ ☜︎❍︎♌︎❒︎♋︎♍︎♏︎ ⍓︎□︎◆︎❒︎ ♐︎♋︎■︎♑︎⬧︎📬︎ 💧︎♒︎♏︎🕯︎⬧︎ ■︎□︎⧫︎♒︎♓︎■︎♑︎ ❍︎□︎❒︎♏︎ ⧫︎♒︎♋︎■︎ ♋︎ ❖︎♓︎⌧︎♓︎❍︎□︎■︎ ♐︎□︎❒︎ ⍓︎□︎◆︎ ⧫︎□︎ ⬧︎⬥︎♋︎●︎●︎□︎⬥︎📬︎"
With what seemed like a bit of a sudden movement - perhaps forced - the Reppamon would give one strong pounce, the masked beast aiming to pin his forepaws against her shoulders. With his full weight behind it, in that same motion, his fangs would part underneath that mask. Should he push through, and land without issue, those fangs would poke in at her neck...
...
And the Reppamon would hesitate. From that terrifying angle, perhaps K could see under that mask, the sheer frustration built up in the Reppamon's blue eyes, blinking through that red glow - even a tear streamed out, beneath that mask.
