Mihai waved them off and returned to work. His day going at its usual paced with hello's and farewells to those that passed him by. Beyond providing them with protection throughout the day he wasn't exacted to do much beyond sitting at the desk and watching the monitors for trouble. Which was a rare event in and of itself.
Eventually, it was time to head home and he rolled out from the desk. At some point, Ioana had drifted off to sleep. He had looked down here and there throughout the day so when she evolved he noticed. Not she had longer legs and those droopy ears covered her eyes as she slept. He couldn't help but smile as she looked a lot more dog-like now than one big fluffy ball.
He reached down giving her a pet something that didn't go unnoticed by her. She turned sharply nipping at him but not breaking the skin as she noticed she had a neck now. What a relief she wouldn't be stuck in her small form forever like she feared. The returned to normal labramon more than a little happy.
"Time to go,"Mihai said drawing his hand back.
"About time," she grunted.
"Don't complain you slept through most of it," Mihai said chuckling. They left the building and she jumped into the car with ease.
"Quick rules, one my siblings can't know you are from another dangerous world. Two you bite either of them like you did me I'm cutting of your ears and making slippers of them," Mihai threatened.
"I'm not so weak as to be scared by your threats," she huffed.
"Fourteen men and one was my father. That's how many I have killed as a soldier. I don't have blood ties or love for you just yet like I did my father. So let it sink in,"Mihai stated.
Ioana went quiet. She herself could never imagine killing part of her family. So the fact he did and wasn't afraid to say it made her blood run a little cold. She made no farther move to protest.
The rest of the drive was quick and quiet and she followed him into the apartment. Only to be set upon by a little girl who picked her up immediately. She cast a glare to Mihai who smiled sheepishly. She didn't want her ears being slippers so for the moment she complied.
"Is she ours," even the brother was a bit excited coming over to pet her.
"Yep, that is Ioana,"Mihai said smiling. "I thought this would be a good time to get a dog since we've settled in now."
The girls face lit up. The pair fawning over the less than amused digimon. Mihai silently apologized and began making dinner for the four of them. The dinner table full of talk about who'd walk her and what kinds of tricks to teach her. Mihai all the while feeling her deadly glare.
"Well, I'm going to go take her to get some supplies and a night vet just to make sure she's healthy," Mihai said excusing them from his sibling's presence.
"Bring her back soon I want to sleep with her tonight," the girl said grinning.
"I will," Mihai said feeling her nip his ankle in response. He chuckled and opened the door watching her bolt out.
Final Farewells said just outside the door and they were free to go meet up with Asher. They arrived at the train station just two minutes after. The pair looking around the station a moment. Mihai noticing a few glances at Ioana making him self-aware of the fact she wasn't on a leash.
His brother had looked it up while they were eating. So technically right now they were breaking the law. Not that she cared as she started to trot off to a destination and he followed behind.
Her nose wasn't about to forget the smell of that meicoomon. Even if the eccentric digimon got on her nerves. She smelled them long before she saw them.
"Hi there," Mihai called out smiling as they approached.
"I can finally leave this hell hole," Ioana grunted eager for them to show the way.
"It wasn't that bad," Mihai chuckled.
"Your sister will pet me bald," she huffed. Mihai had to hide his laugh at her reason.

"Do mew think they'll come?" Whiskers asked, looking up at the sky. Her tone implied, heavily, that she hoped that they would not.
To this, the spirit user gave a shrug and a smile. "I think so." Way to ruin the cat's evening! Ah well. If they never showed up, Asher would surely board the train anyway. And, sometimes he was hard for the feline to keep a proper eye on! At least with a second human (and 'mangy' mutt), the Meicoomon should have little problems with the redhead running off!
At least they didn't have to wait very long. Giving a small wave, Asher's smile grew. He was always good at being friendly, at the least! "Hey," he greeted, probably a little too casually. Sure, Asher had been brought up to be capable of being more than formal, but it didn't feel like a moment where he really needed to be! For the most part, his experiences with people around here were either tense, or extremely laid back. Neither of which warranted Formal Mode.
"Did mew eat a lot of food?" Whiskers immediately asked Ioana, ignoring the part about being pet too much. Or, too hard? Either way, it looked like Whiskers was far more tolerant of human attention forms than the canine was! And, then another realization clicked. "Mew got bigger." Lovely. Bigger dogs meant bigger mouths to eat cats with!
Not wanting Whiskers to have too much time to get huffy over the change in dog-shape, Asher patted her on the head. "Hopefully we'll get a quiet train ride this time," the teen remarked, turning to walk into the station. "You're both ready, right?" Well. Ioana was ready. She wanted to go home! Mihai, Asher could only assume was. Especially since it wasn't like he was really waiting for the answer before moving along.
Leading into the station, with the holosuited feline close to his side, they made their way to a gate with a scanner. "If you have your digivice on you," he hummed, casually pulling the item from his pocket, and bringing it near the scanner. A happy beep emitted, along with the sound of the gate unlocking, "you can just scan it like that, and you're in." Just as quickly as the device had been brought out, it was already back in the teen's pocket, to avoid drawing too much attention in public.
Surely, security had to know about this area. Right? It wouldn't make sense otherwise! Wouldn't they be yelling at kids for going to a restricted area? Asher and Mihai were on the older side of the Digital spectrum, from what the spirit user had seen so far! Heck, Elliot and Isaac came through here all the time! And one of them was only, like, thirteen or something!
Stepping through the gate, the redhead would wait for Mihai and Ioanna, while looking at the train that had pulled up. So far, it hadn't even made an announcement for where it was going. Or to board. But, the doors were open! So, Asher could only assume this was one of the less chatty vehicles! Thank goodness. "And, these are Trailmon," he gestured toward the literal face of the train. The creature's eye shifted, to stare back at Asher, providing an almost unsettling feeling in the man's chest. "Hi," he stated, awkwardly, to the train monster. Wouldn't it be rude not to say something now that they were making eye contact?
The creature responded with a snippy, "get on. You're wasting my time."
Well, then. He supposed trains had tight schedules, too.
"Mew heard the 'mon! Let's go!" Pulling on Asher's hand, Whiskers scurried onto the Trailmon, while it would wait to see if Mihai and his partner would be joining the duo.

Admittedly she had eaten her fair share while here. So she couldn't complain about going hungry. She still couldn't say she prefers staying in the human world over her own though. She was by all accounts a wild digimon first and foremost.
"Yep," Mihai said in response to Asher's question. The way he cut off his partners impending shyness and distrust of dogs a welcome one.
"I did eat quite a bit. So you got nothing to worry about pussy cat," Ioana rolled her eyes and waited for them to get this show on the road.
Such a place existed in the middle of a train station. Mihai had to think either the government controlled it or that it was somehow only visable to them. Which would honestly be very strange because he imagined them disappearing to catch a lot of attention. So he had to guess the former as he followed suit in scanning his digivice and walking through. He hoped they wouldn't show up knocking on his door while his siblings were there.
Ioana meanwhile wasted no time getting on beelining for the trailmon and hopping in. She'd only ever ridden in one once before if she remembers right. Half of them are pretty much prudes. Still, it got a person where they needed so she wouldn't complain about it.
"Thank you for taking us," Mihai paused to say his thanks to the trailmon as they had called it. The idea of actually riding in a living train a weird one, to say the least. Did having them inside tickle or something? He'd have to be careful he didn't want to piss it off.
He walked onto the train taking a seat beside Ioana who looked relaxed and happy to be going home. Her tail having a light wag that showed her mood even though her face remained one of light irritation. He couldn't help but to reach down and pet her head lightly.
"Are you wanting me to go bald," she raised her head up nipping at his hand.
"Nope, but it's not like you'll go bald from petting," Mihai chuckled dangling his hand just out of reach. Admittedly by this point, he was just teasing her.
"So how many people know about digimon," Mihai asked looking to Asher. He rarely used the train himself so he couldn't begin to think of how many people may actually use this service.

"Yup." The Trailmon grunted. That was not a polite way to accept a thank you! Though, the monster probably received enough guests on a daily basis that it had long outgrown the desire to be friendly! Especially when it had to deal with far more annoying trains, too! Asher would not be able to handle sharing a job with some of the Trailmon that visited the terminal! Now that the group had boarded, it grumbled, "doors closing. Keep your arms inside." Nobody needed to think about what the Trailmon would do if someone tried to stick their arm in front of the closing door. For some reason, it was hard to imagine that this train would care enough to stop the door from at least bruising someone!
Once the door was closed, Whiskers let out a small sigh of relief. A flicker passed over the holosuit, before it shorted out entirely. In the girl's place was an orange feline, who puffed up her cheeks at the Labramon. "I'm a Meicoomon, thank mew furry much! I gave mew two names mew can call me. Pussy Cat isn't one of them!" Even with such stern words, the rookie kept herself tightly tucked against Asher's side.
At least Mihai seemed to enjoy his new companion. It would definitely be a bad time, if he took offense to all those nips that she threatened! The redhead had to admit, if he had a partner, that was likely how the dynamic would have gone, too! Though, Whiskers was pretty close to such a thing. Aside from the part where either of them could safely abandon the other in the Digital World without any particular repercussion!
"Good question," the teen shrugged, trying to think about how many people probably knew about the digital beings. "I know about ten people, personally." No, Asher totally didn't just count them in his head! "Seems like a lot, really." How weren't Digimon making the news yet? Asher swore they weren't as secret as he would have thought! They literally could be under someone's nose without going noticed! "And, the number's climbing, from what I can tell. Don't think you can get an exact amount." A new tamer or spirit user was probably 'born' every day! If not several times per day!
The train had given a small jolt, as it accelerated. At this rate, it wouldn't take long to reach the Digital World. "Mostly between the ages of, like, thirteen and early twenties" Pause. "How old are you?" Totally not adding to that census! Nope!

Mihai was somewhat surprised at the fact there was ten let alone those Asher didn't know. There was no way the government wouldn't know with so many. He knew they would probably stay quiet about it to the public. The others though do they stay quiet willingly like him?
"Twenty four," Mihai responded smiling slightly. "I guess that makes me an old man compared to most."
"How the hell is that old," Ioana said finally stopping. "Digimon live thousands of years you're nothing but a pup."
"Dog terms hmm," Mihai teased her choice of words. This time she aimed for the leg earning a hiss as he rubbed it. She pinched it more than broke the skin. Enough to hurt but not harm.
"Idiot," she huffed. Honestly, he was having way too much fun at this. The guy was literally taking everything in stride. "You know there are digimon who are big enough to make you into a pancake. One day I'll be that big too."
"So not all of them are short, fluffy and cute like Whiskers and you," Mihai said earning another nip.
"I'm not short I am the exact height I need to be for my form thank you," Ioana growled as Mihai was left rubbing his leg again. Yet she didn't protest being fluffy and cute.
"I suppose I should be asking how dangerous this world really is," Mihai said smiling at Ioana but rather serious about the danger part. Asher had mentioned kidnapping last time and now she mentions pancakes. Yet children as young as thirteen were going there! If this place was truly dangerous he could never imagine letting his siblings go there. Why would other parents allow it?

Giving a small, but friendly laugh, the redhead couldn't deny anything there! "Kind of!" Hopefully, Mihai could take a joke in regards to his age! "I'm eighteen, and sometimes I feel old around here!" Though, there was a pause at the canine's words. Thousands of years? Eyes shifted to Whiskers, who made no claim either way. Weird. But, he supposed it made sense, considering how time worked. "Are you talking about years in your world, though? Because that makes him over one hundred, in those." Asher wasn't going to get into exact math right now, though! That was just too much effort, considering it was already this late into the day!
"They're all idiots. You'll hopefurly get used to it." Or not. Whiskers didn't actually care either way! But, she wasn't going to deny what an idiot Asher could be at times! Such as, all times! Ever! Asher was just dumb, in her opinion! Like a kitten that needed a constant watch on them!
Feeling it was a good time to add in some information, the spirit user clicked his tongue to the roof of his mouth. "Most of them look cute at this stage. But, they evolve into bigger things." Sometimes, much bigger. "Ioana could get pretty big, if you let her." Or, if she wanted to!
As far as how dangerous they were? Eyes shifted around the train, waiting to see if the Labramon would answer first. When it wasn't immediate, he decided to respond. "Depends on where you are," was the lazy person's answer. But, despite seeming lethargic, it was unlike Asher to just leave things at that! "You're usually pretty safe in the cities. But, anywhere else is fair game. I don't want you to think the worst about this place. But, you can get killed here." Way to not want to worry someone! "I look at it like, you can get killed in our world, anyway. It's just a matter of common sense and knowing when to back away."
"Mew? Common sense? When?" Whiskers scoffed, receiving a tiny nudge from the human.
"When I don't have to worry about you yelling at me. I can take care of myself," he taunted, leaning a little against the feline. Of course, she was small, and made a progressive squealing sound as he applied weight, until the teen moved to sit upright again. It seemed they had quite the interesting relationship! But, realizing the interaction could be taken wrong, he was quick to follow up with a wide-eyed stare at Mihai. "Do not wander off without your Digimon, or someone that can defend you. That is part of the 'common sense or you'll die' thing." Way to be blunt!

"Yes," in her world. Ioana wasn't sure how digimon aged in the human world though. It made her wonder if their time slowed or quickened with the changing between the worlds. The process was well beyond her level of trying to understand and she tossed it aside before it gave her a headache.
The idea of getting any larger than maybe a great dane was a bit hard to imagine. Still, Mihai had no idea what this world held in store so he took his word for it. He imagined he'd probably be surprised about everything he learns for quite some time.
"Well I wouldn't do that since I'll need a guide either way," Mihai said chuckling. The fact that there were cities a bit of a relief. What he said about danger and using common sense to avoid it made a lot of sense. He'd probably try talking out of it first anyway.
"I'm not too worried though. I was raised to be a soldier in my home country. I can handle myself," Mihai was certain of his abilities. His father may have been cruel but he did make a son who could take a beating and keep on ticking. "We should have a safe place to meet up just in case."
"Says the guy who doesn't know our world at all and would get lost trying to find said safe place," Ioana said bluntly. Mihai rubbing his head sheepishly at the very good point. "Just stay close for now. It'd be troublesome otherwise."
"Yes Ma'am," Mihai said smiling.
"Who are you calling ma'am," Ioana said irritated. She wasn't his mother. Mihai just chuckled in response.
"There a place you two enjoy going to the most," Mihai asked deciding to answer her would lead to another nip.

At least Mihai didn't seem irrational about the Digital World thing. Really, Asher had only dealt with one newbie that had been a particular pain in regards to the Digital World. But, that's what happens when someone resorts to stalking as a means to talk to him, apparently. The redhead really needed to watch out for that, in the future. Ah well.
A soldier, though? Huh. That was unique to hear around here! "That's probably pretty useful, but," he paused, giving an awkward chuckle, "I don't know if it matters, once they start getting big enough to step on you." The Greymon family was no joke! Antylamon really wasn't, either, though. She was probably more than willing to step on a person. If she ever stopped hovering above the ground. "Could always just meet back at the train station." That seemed like a smart place! Unless, of course, they were lost. But, getting lost made it pretty hard to find any designated meet-up location, anyway. So, Asher figured that didn't really matter.
Ioana wasn't afraid to point that out, though! It was probably best that Mihai had found a Digimon like her! It was hard to imagine how tamers with unruly rookies could manage!
Giving a small snicker at the two, Asher shrugged. "We kind of just like to wander around. I guess the Southern Tropics are pretty nice." Who didn't like beaches and warm weather, after all?
"I like Termeownus City," the feline piped up, entirely butchering the location name with her cat puns. "But, I have a house there." Which, Asher still had yet to see!
Rather than teasing the cat about not allowing guests over, Asher redirected the question to the Labramon. "What about you? Do you have a favorite place?"

Tropics like the Bahamas? That would be a pretty nice place. Warm welcome weather beaches and probably seaside parties. Yeah, he could understand the appeal.
"Terminus city is the worst place to go. It reeks,"Ioana said referring to the smell. "Dozens of digimon per square inch not to mention all the food stalls. It all just blends in its nauseating."
"Well we know your least favorite place,"Mihai said hoping Whiskers wouldn't mind.
"Server woods is the best place to be. That's my home and it has the best smelling air because the trees keep everything clean. I'm a wild digimon I'm not made for the city and all its terrible smells," Ioana answered his question.
"Smell really play that important a role for you," Mihai asked.
"Yes," she said bluntly. She couldn't enjoy herself if dozens of smells were assaulting her nose. It wasn't like it had an off button. Sure she could do her best not to take deep breaths so she smelled everything but it was hard to regulate breathing without thinking about it. Nope, she couldn't stand places like Terminus period. Heck, the human city was just as bad but at least she had a refuge there in Mihai's home and didn't have to walk through it all thanks to his car.
Mihai held his tongue as he was going to say dogs have a really great sense of smell. He didn't want to get nipped again. He wondered where his favorite place was going to be. He imagined it somewhere where there was a pleasant mix of both town and nature.
"I don't mind cities myself though I do prefer having a nice place full of birds for a morning walk. The sound of nature is more pleasing but the ease of living in a city is just as much so," Mihai said stating his like of both. He liked being able to get what he needed by just simply walking down the street or a short car trip. Not to mention the variety that the city held.
"I'm sure I'll like wherever we go," Mihai said smiling.
