“Heh trust me, if he can listen to himself ramble on so much without getting bored-“ Carlos began saying somewhat jokingly, before being abruptly cut off by a small ember passing dangerously close to his face. He jolted backwards a bit, startled, before shooting an annoyed glance at Dio.
“Hey, even my great patience has its limits.” He shrugged, a smug grin plastered on his face, before turning again to the blushing fairy. “Surprisingly, most digimon are that dumb, but the Dark Lord is a forgiving leader.” Dio said, slightly puffing out his chest with pride. Carlos simply rolled his eyes, wondering if this whole encounter with Tink would be sending the digimon two steps backwards on his training against his own hubris.
“Don’t worry Tink, we can keep you safe…hopefully.” The human said, trying to hide his worry. Frankly, everything he had heard so far about that place made it sound more and more unappealing. But they didn’t really have a choice in the matter anymore, so might as well make the best out of a bad situation. Right? "Well, at the very least we can try. Would be easier if I knew what to expect from there."

"Really? There are Digimon that dumb?" Was Tink just playing along, or did she buy into this whole 'Dark Lord' thing? "It is a good thing you are so patient then! I don't have that kind of patience, myself..." In fact, there have been a few times that she has stabbed Digimon with her paralytic lance and flew away because they were 'mean to her'. "You're so cool..."
The Empyrean Skies were intimidating, and they haven't even gone there yet! As Carlos goes from confidence to worry, Tink's own fear somehow does not get any better. But... Dio is there, and he's gotten training from one of the most powerful Digimon Tink could imagine. "Well... don't think I'll be any more ready than I am now, y'know?" She attempts to put on a brave face, though her glowing buzzing wings allow all to see her anxiety. "Let's... see how bad it is..."

“You’d be surprised! Everyone seems all too eager to underestimate the true might of their Dark Lord.” He said with a shrug, sounding almost surprised by that, as if the idea of a tiny and frankly adorable digimon calling himself an overlord of dark powers wasn’t too silly to take seriously. Of course Carlos wasn’t going to be the one to correct him about that. Or Tink telling him how patient he was. If only she knew him better, she probably wouldn’t say that. “Cool? That I am.” The impmon agreed, not a sliver of sarcasm in his voice. He sure was quick to jump on to the self praising bandwagon, wasn’t he?
Regardless, they would soon be interrupted by a rather grump sounding voice coming from behind them. “Alright, rest time is up, you two, come on back quick or I’ll leave without you.” Carlos turned around in surprise upon hearing said voice. Ah right, the Birdramon, he had almost completely forgotten about that. He started making his way back to the large bird, just as he suddenly had a thought.
“Hey Tink, there’s still some ways to the Empyrean Skies. Want a lift?” He’d ask, turning to the fairy with a smile.

It was good that such a cool, powerful Dark Lord was with Tink, as otherwise she would be worried about the trip to the land of holier-than-thou holy Digimon. It was a shame that others seem to underestimate him, however. "They probably just think that someone can't have both looks and power, y'know? Probably think if you were as powerful as you are, you should be ugly instead of..." He seems to dislike being called cute, so... "...how you're the complete opposite."
It seems that Tink's conversation was just about over, however, as a giant cranky bird interrupts rudely. "Jeez, just a second, for crying out loud," she mutters quietly about the Birdramon, then sighs. She is then offered a lift by Dio. "I'd love to ride with you! Thank you so very much!" She grins back, happy to accept his offer. "I don't know if my little wings could take me the rest of the way there..."
