The Digital Field Club

Haru cheerfully nodded towards the others, happy to least see everyone was more or less at least excited for the club in varying ways (though she admittingly was more in this for fun than for money). She did giggle at the Betamon's adorably flirty nature if simply because it was not what she would have expected from the aquatic Digimon (but hey she won't judge). "Well, I'm glad it's not like we're going to be stuck in a lab like this all day! It's not a field research club if we aren't actually out getting our hands dirty! I mean... why else do I wear gloves?" she ended up pluckily commenting, holding out her white-gloved hands.

Tawna's feelers around her neck fidgeted around slightly, she crawling into Haru's lap. Truth be told, she had not displayed much interest into the project previously (being more of the fighting type anyway), but they actually having an active role with things at least made them less... disinterested.

Now however was the exciting part... at least for Haru! The girl was actually was somewhat visibly surprised that their tech expert was able to do something like mod their Digivices. As far as she has seen in the past, the only people able to mod a Digivice were really frikkin' smart Digimon... so it was impressive to see a regular girl able to do something like that! Needless to say, she was happy to volunteer her Digivice! "Oh! Me! I can do it!" she excitably spoke, hopping up from her chair (much to Tawna's mild annoyance) and walking up to the computer, pulling out an orange D-3 and holding it outward.

Fortunately, everything was a pretty easy process when it came to upgrading the Digivice as a whole; Haru had the stray thought to herself how someone like Ayumi probably could become filthy stinkin' rich if she could put that talent outside of the club. With the upgrade complete and a slight reboot from the device, Haru smiled.

"Seemed to work like a charm! Err, let me see about this..." she quipped as she began to flip through the options on her D-3, going to the scanner option. She held out the D-3 as a wave of light was emanated from it as it began to scan Miyu. "So how did Ayumi figure this all out anyway? Tinkering around with a Digivice had to be pretty tough to do..." she idly asked as she waited for the process to finish.

Haru had noticed how the scanner did take longer, but once the scanning was done, a wealth of new information was at her finger tips. All forms of information was now available to her, ranging from some of their attacks, attribute, even their pre-evolutions and further evolutions! "Ohhh, wow... You actually Digivolve to a Seadramon? That's really cool of you Mizu!" she gushed over the small amphibian and over the new addition to her Digivice.

This is only further empowered by the reveal that all of their data collected was going to be archived! That alone added a bit more incentive to them trying to scan everything they could find! "That's amazing! That could be really useful for both us, but anyone we eventually share this all with!" She giddily spoke. She was excited to see how this could all go eventually, especially if they could get a lot of information! She turned towards Tawna, a cheerful smile on the girl's face. "Wanna be our next test subject Tawna?"

The feline just seemed to flinch visibly, a mild look of discomfort on the maine coon's face. "... Can we do it later? I'm not exactly comfortable being scanned like this."

Upon hearing there wouldn’t be a tangible monetary reward for their efforts, Dio couldn’t help but let out a somewhat disappointed huff. That said, he still seemed interested enough to stay around, else he would have already walked out through the door.

Carlos however, could not be more intrigued and honestly hyped for the whole exploration aspect. All his childhood he had spent watching and rewatching all the Indiana Jones movies, all those Amazon cannibal movies (without her mother knowing about the latter, of course) and had always daydreamed about being a daring explorer, finding old temples and exploring abandoned ruins, unearthing ancient secrets all in the name of knowledge and adventure.

So yeah, him being part of this club was practically guaranteed now. And even if he wouldn’t say so out loud, Dio was interest had certainly been piqued. If they were to learn more about the digital world, that meant there was a good chance they would investigate old stuff from ancient times…perhaps even the Dark Area at some point. If that was the case, this was as good a chance as any to learn one or two things about his origins, which had been a bit of a concern to him the past week.

Perhaps the dark lord would give this place the benefit of the doubt for now.
After they tested the prototype out (Dio being somewhat disappointed nothing exploded) the man also approached to see the results, the screen on the device being filled with lots of all manner of information regarding Mizu.

“Niice. Can you scan him too? I’m curious if the holosuit causes interference or something.” He asked as he gently picked up his partner.

“Hey! Put me down this instant! Nobody asked me if I wanted to be scanned” The disguised Impmon would complain, sounding almost outraged.

“Come on, Dio, where’s your sense of curiosity and discovery? Don’t you want to learn what else you’ll evolve into?” He asked, suspecting that sort of knowledge would invariably feed into his partner’s pride and ego, which was always a good way of convincing him of doing the most inane things if it meant getting respect from the others.

“…fine.” The black cat conceded, his curiosity getting the better of him.

The Betamon laughed out loud. The people present were surely excited! Just as planned! She knew Ayumi's scanner would be a real draw! But now everyone wanted the prototype, can't have that!
"Gals, gals, hold your Unimon! This is just the prototype, just wait for the full thing when we head out to our first mission!~"
Ah, but she had been too late to keep the Mikemon from trying his luck. While the program did react to the orb, the program did not install.
"Ah, maybe you should let Ayumi have a look at your orb, maybe she can find a way to get your scanner onto there! The girl's half a genius, let me tell ya!"

As Mizu chatted cheerfully, there was a knock on the door, and a tall, tanned young woman entered. She was wearing a simple jacket and a t-shirt that read "Akiyama's Music Import/Export" with a cute little koala mascot holding a vinyl. She wore long jeans, and simple sneakers. Her tall body, muscular frame and sharp facial features struck an intimidating appearance...which was sullied by her utterly adorable soft facial expression, which turned into an immense blush and a deer-in-the-headlights look once she saw just how many people were here!
"O-o-o-o-oh, s-s-s-so many..."
The Betamon grinned.
"Aha, there she is, the boss herself! Folks, say hello to Yukiko Armstrong, our team leader!~"
Yukiko waved sheepishly as she closed the door behind her.

Miyu was happy that Haru started scanning Bloom, wondering what can she discover about the littl bulb, sadly the scaning was interrputed due to Miyu moving Bloom out of the way of the scanner to meet the girl that just enter the office, she was tall, muscular and very intimidating, but Miyu never judged a book by its cover so cheerfuly went towards the girl for a handshake

"HI! My name is Miyu Feng and this little potato it's my partner Bloom"

"A real pleasure to meet you!" Said Bloom with a big smile
