No one was happy about the ominous architecture that suddenly sprung from nowhere in the Mainframe Hills, able to be seen for miles across the rolling plateau. If this black zit across the normally fairly peaceful area weren't so much an irritation (not to mention danger) to travellers, Terriermon would have not bothered trying to see about rallying up some people to get rid of the monument. The petit rabbit had a stubby arm raised as he held his hand above his eyes, squinting off in the distance at the Control Spire... a large, armor-clad Digimon patrolling around it menacingly. A Rhinomon was not normally associated with being "vicious", but the black choke around one of it's feet seemed to drive the gold-black creature mad as it softly roared far away, a warning call to trespassers. "Bleh... Why couldn't they have picked a less creepy color for this thing. Like green! Green is a good color." the mammal Digimon rambled to himself, waiting for some outside help to come. Whatever needed to happned, that obelisk had to go... It was cramping his style frankly!

"Green... is the worst color." A white wolf-like Digimon wearing a red hood and cape known as Hackmon said from behind the other Digimon as it approached it. The Digimon's tamer, a young girl with the name Violet, was running towards the two from a distance. "HACKMON!" She yelled as she ran. "YOU BUTTHEAD! YOU'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO LEAVE ME ALONE IN THE DIGITAL WORLD!" Hackmon sighed and scratched one of his arms. "Then keep up! Run faster!" Hackmon yelled back.
It hadn't been too long since the two met, which was the cause of the lack of respsect Violet received from Hackmon. The tamer eventually caught up and sat on the ground next to Hackmon, panting heavily. She saw the strange black tower and turned her head to the side, confused. "Hey... what the hell is that?" She slowly stood back up.

As the Terriermon was muttering to himself about that control spire, Adrian and Shoutmon had wandered into that general area. They read the job listing that the Terriermon had sent, and they were now searching for that Terriermon. As they searched, they came across the control spire itself.
"Wow... what an ugly building," Adrian comments as they observe the black tower. "No wonder that Digimon wants it destroyed."
"Speaking of which, this is the spot to meet up with them, right?" Shoutmon asked. "So where are they?"
"It is possible I misread their instructions," Adrian comments, "but the control spire thing is here, so this should be the right place, right?"
As he and Shoutmon searched around, Adrian had spotted the Terriermon. He and Shoutmon walked up to it. "Hello. I'm Adrian and this is Shoutmon. You needed help destroying that tower?"
(EDIT: Just go with it. I was rushing and assumed Terriermon sent a request. SORRY!)

"Oh man, I cannot wait to take this tower on! They're suppose to be pretty tricky! I hope the guardian is tough!" Roger was quite happy to jabber on from his perch across Hiroyo's back and shoulders. He was blatantly abusing his ability to stick to things he shouldn't to hitch a ride up the hill while the red head did all the running! The trio had rushed over as soon as they heard about the tower, Morgan leading the way by flyling low but quick with Hiroyo and Roger following close behind. Roger was impressed with how well the human had been able to keep up honestly! She was only really flagging now, when their goal was in sight.
He supposed that was acceptable.
"Quiet down or we will alert it too soon. Can you not already feel the oppressive force in the air?" Morgan warned, flying closer to the grounded two so he could follow his own advice. Now that the Fanbeemon had mentioned it Roger realized the air did feel more stifling then it should. Was this the digivolution suppression field they had been warned of?
"Turn left, Hiroyo. There is a Terriermon and a couple others already gathered."
The tired red head nodded and finally slowed her ground devouring lope into a walk as she made a bee line for the group. She gave a tired wave to those already present before doubling over to put her hands on her knees as she gulped air like a fish out of water. The Kunemon on her shoulders shoved off her head to land in front of her and strike a pose.
"Heya! Roger and Morgan here to make smucks out of the tower and its guardian!" Roger declared, twitching his tail towards the Fanbeemon when he named him. Morgan landed close by Hiroyo, giving a nod when his name was said and a brief wave with one of his foreclaws.
"This is Hiroyo, our human." He said. The red head made the effort to lift her head and flash a grin towards those already assembled and a little wave. She was evidently too out of breath still to really speak.

"Huh?" Violet looked at the new people approaching. "Oh, Hiya there! Name's Violet. That's Koba the Hackmon-- I gave him the name." "I hate the name," Koba said flatly, glaring at Violet. "Nah, he's just joking, he loves it!" Violet dismisses, patting Koba's head. "Don't touch me." Koba showed his teeth in an attempt to scare Violet. It failed. "Aww, you're smiling!" She said happily, hugging him. "Help.. me..." He said through gritted teeth as Violet locked him in a tight hug. "Seriously. Back off! We're here to investigate and take down that tower. NOT to hug someone who doesn't want to be hugged and make them look weak!" He barked at Violet. Violet rolled her eyes and mumbled something about Koba being rude. She turned her attention back to the strange black tower. She noticed a large Rhinomon patrolling the tower. But, as new to the Digital World as she was, she didn't recognize it as what it was, and her curiosity grew more. "Woah... what's that thing?!"

It seems there was already a crowd gathering at the black spire ruining the beautiful hilly landscape. "Perhaps they don't need me," a colorful Lego-esque Agumon says to himself, at a volume that others wouldn't be considered eavesdropping if they heard him. "But another couldn't hurt, and this is my opportunity to grow stronger and be a hero!"
The ToyAgumon sizes up his allies. He nods approvingly at the Hackmon and Shoutmon, along with their partners. "They appear to be of good strength for fellow Rookie stage Digimon," he stage-mutters. "Partnered with humans. Maybe they can Digivolve." The Kunemon and Fanbeemon also get a nod. "Three on the same team. They'll probably show us how teamwork is done."
Finally, he introduces himself to the crowd. "My name is Agumaru! I'm here to help, as I'm sure you all are as well! Together we can destroy that thing blighting the Digital World and holding captive the power within Digimon striving to grow!" He pumps his right hand in the air, wrapped in a red training bracer that some Agumon are known for.

The Terriermon seemed quite pleased to see the various humans and Digimon soon begin flooding in, the pint-sized mammal smirking slightly as he crossed his arms and looked up to everyone else (lil' guy was frankly quite short). "Well, well, well! Glad my S.O.S got some answers! Nice to meetcha all! Yeah, we got a big prob over here! Really big!" he squeaked as he pointed at the spire off in the distance.
In regards to Violet's question, Terriermon sighed slightly before hopping up a bit closer. "That is our bad guy today! Well, not supposed to be the bad guy... but Rhinomon's not supposed to be this aggro! He's usually pretty nice!" he ended up explaining briefly, grumbling slightly to himself. Rhinomon had been a personal friend of his, so it was sad for him to have to fight the armored Digimon. "He's been shooing away everyone who even gets close to the spire ever since it popped up... I bet it's cause of that tacky new accessory of his making him act all funky!"
The Rookie level for the most was glad just to see that people shared his opinion regarding the spire. Whatever it was, it needed to go. "Yeah, it's not only ugly... It's a nuisance! No one for miles can even naturally Digivolve higher than a Rookie around that thing! No one knows why it popped up, but it's bad news Bearmons!"
With what looked like everyone here, it was time to set motion the plan! "Awright, so before we go guns ablazin', which ya know I'm usually for... We should come up with a plan beforehand! Tower has to go, but we need to also help Rhinomon! He's not a bad Digimon, I know that for a fact!"

After observing the scene with the Rhinomon, Shoutmon snapped his fingers. "I think I may have an idea on how to deal with that Rhinomon! When I scream into my microphone, it amplifies the volume of my voice a hundred times! If I can get close enough to Rhinomon and scream at him, then he'll be immobilized, meaning the rest of you can go down to that control spire and destroy it!"
As Shoutmon was explaining his master plan, Adrian noticed someone at in the group who looked oddly familiar. It was a girl with brown hair and green eyes... a lot like that girl Violet that Adrian had met up with, who discovered Shoutmon as they were about to leave school.
But this girl had a Hackmon with her. Violet wasn't a Digidestined... was she?
"Violet?" Adrian asked, walking up to the girl. "Is that you? You have a Digimon now?!"

"Ah, yes, because I know whenever I get yelled at, I become immobilized," Koba said flatly. "In case you didn't catch that, that was sarcasm. Yelling at something doesn't take away its ability to move, it will most likely only make it angrier at you."
"Err... Kinda long story," Violet said. "But, nice to see you again. I see Shoutmon is still fond of yelling at things... does he even do anything other than yell at things?"
"He gives stupid ideas," Koba says. "Oh, shush, meanie." Violet scolds Koba, smacking his head lightly. "Don't touch me."

"So, it's that ring that's making Rhinomon act so weird? Then we just need to get rid of it!" It seemed Hiroyo had finally gottenn her breath back to speak! She did have to pause between a couple words, but at least she wasn't gasping for air like she was before. She cracked a grin as Shoutmon and Violet started arguing back and forth. It probably wasn't the best behavior before trying to tackle a mon a whole level higher but it was still entertaining! "Ah, while you both have good points shouldn't we tackle one problem at a time?"
"Two mons distracting the Rhinomon could work." Morgan spoke up abruptly, his eyes looking from Shoutmon to Koba to Agumaru. "In fact, were we to work together appropriately we could perhaps turn the Rhinomon's very strength against the tower." His eyes narrowed in thought. "Were the more nimble members of our group to lead good Rhinomon into a charge then dodge at the last moment I imagine he would have a rather difficult time stopping."
"Oooh, risky I like it! I could...probably climb up the tower and slow him down with webbing from there. Honestly if I could get on his back I could show him a real shocking time!" The Kunemon cackled, rubbing its first two claws together enthusiastically. As long as he got to fight he was fine with whatever was decided!
"Hm, that tower looks a little too tough to be taken on by just that alone, plus whoever acts as bait would be in a rather dangerous position. They would have to either be very mobile or have strong defense. I know you win on the mobility front Morgan, could your bees help distract it?" The Fanbeemon nodded and Hiroyo scratched her chin thoughtfully. "Well, that should help make it easier for the bait to dodge if we go with that plan. Maybe stun it with your shouting then distract it with bees then try to turn it against the tower?" She sighed and shook her head, she wasn't really good at this strategy stuff! The human looked towards Agumaru, hoping that maybe the mon had something good to add. "What do you think? Split up targets or maybe go after one objective first?"
Hiroyo's expression and voice would turn serious once a plan of action was decided upon. The memories of the fight with Hookmon were strong in her mind. There were more mons for this fight, but that could mean it would just be more chaotic. "Remember, this Digimon is a full level higher than you guys. That's not a simple power difference, it's more like comparing a step and a staircase! Be careful, okay?"

"Nice to meet you all," Agumaru exclaims, beaming. "Together we can save the Rhinomon and destroy the evil spire, I'm sure!" But how? Shoutmon mentioned his literally stunning voice. That might work, but... "Isn't Rhinomon a champion level? And a berserk one to boot? That might only slow them down." He turns towards Hiyoro, quickly responding. "I think we should destroy the spire, possibly with Rhinomon's 'help' as you've suggested. I don't want to hurt Rhinomon though. They're as much of a victim as the rest of us, even more so!"
Agumaru then taps the top of his plastic head. "I'm not the most mobile, but my defenses are incredibly high. And due to my unstable data, a good enough of a whack from an enemy will send me flyin' apart with very little damage! So don' worry about me. I know they're a champion but if we band together..."

Terriermon while liked the Shoutmon's spunk, but he wasn't exactly sure how effective screaming at Rhinomon would be in the grand scheme of things!. "Bust his eardrums maybe, but don't forget this guy's a Champion level! He's super tough and will cream us if we aren't careful!" the little Rookie level ended up commenting, though he wasn't against using a lil' violence to solve the problem. "He's a big guy, so don't be afraid to go wild! He can take it I bet! I don't wanna see him used as some jerk's guard mon either!"
The others did have some good thoughts on how to approach this, Terriermon liking the idea of them trying to trick Rhinomon into getting some of the work done for them. Might be tricky destroying the tower with them guarding it, but it was crazy to probably work! "Well, depends I guess! If we get the tower destroyed, I bet that dumb ring's just gonna put pitter out! No offense to Rhinomon, but he's kinda dumb, and being mind-controlled is probably not helping much." he cheerfully quipped, bobbing up and down slightly in excitement. "I think let's split our efforts! Some of us could be bait, while the others try and start whackin' away at the tower! It's gonna be way easier just attacking a stationary target than something that's barreling towards ya!"
The last thing they really needed to figure out was what to do with the humans. While he was glad they were there to help, he has heard that humans are kinda on the squishy side. "Love ya guys, but I think you guys should sit out! I don't think I'd want to see a human pancake on Rhinomon's part!" he ended up speaking to the others, cutely balancing on one leg briefly as the Terriermon waited excitably for them to start.

"That was kind of what I was trying to say, at least," Shoutmon huffed. "You know, distracting him and all. But the others do have a point. Maybe we CAN trick that big dumb Rhinomon into helping us out!"
"We need a proper plan, though," Adrian tells Shoutmon. "We can't just rush into there and start hitting stuff like you usually prefer to do."
"Come on, Adrian, I'm not THAT stupid."
"Yes you are."
"Well, I take offense to that!"
"And Terriermon, that's what I was thinking as well," Adrian tells the little Digimon. "That control spire might be what's causing Rhinomon to go completely insane. But I also had another thought: what if more of those collars come flying at the Digimon? What are we going to do then? Digimon aren't much help if they end up joining the enemy's side against their own free will."
"I'm too awesome to get mind controlled," Shoutmon boasted.
"Bragging like that is basically asking to be mind controlled."
"Hmph... anyways, I volunteer to be bait. Annoying giant Digimon is kind of my specialty."

"...Your specialty." Koba deadpanned. "How often do you fight giant Digimon? Enough to consider yourself good at fighting them?" Koba narrowed his eyes at Shoutmon. "That's what he said," Violet shrugged, still looking at the spire. "And they're right. We're probably gonna get creamed if we're not careful with that Champion guy. Rhinomon, was it? Jeez, he looks super scary.. How are we going to defeat him?" She asked. "Sheer numbers, I suppose," Koba yawned. "Are we going to sit here forever, or go after the monster?" Violet sat back down. "I think sitting here forever could be nice. Then we wouldn't... you know, die. None of us can Digivolve to Champion yet, right? Yeah, so sitting could be cool." Violet grinned. "Coward..." Koba muttered.

Hiroyo was quickly wearing a grin on her face as she listened to Agumaru talk. For a pile of bricks he really had a lot of spunk! They would need that and a good plan if they were going to pull this off.
Luckily it seemed Shoutmon and Koba had plenty of it too!
"Annoying giant Digimon, huh?" Hiroyo rubbed her chin thoughtfully and cast a sly glance over at Morgan before staring pointedly at Roger. "Man, I think I know another 'mon like that!"
"Pfft, baiting and trash talk can take as much skill as fighting!" Roger declared with a rather haughty tone. He stretched his neck up and swiveled his head back and forth between Shoutmon and Agumaru, his antenna twitching. He ground his beak and then finally sagged back down a little. "You two are probably the best choices for lurin' that guy around. I'm not the fastest right now. I'll help soften up that tower for ya!"
Morgan seemed pleased enough with how well everyone had taken to his suggestion. The others had even offered up ways they could fit nicely into what he had planned. Even Roger had recognized his own limitations and wasn't trying to glory hog for once! Agumaru and Shoutmon had offered the most about their abilities but Morgan still didn't know enough to try and direct them on how to do their jobs. They probably wouldn't welcome the attempt, and Morgan really didn't want to try either.
"Working with such quick-witted allies will be a pleasure, I am certain we will have the tower down before a new day dawns." He was being a little more poetic than normal but trying to boost morale was always a good idea. His antenna twitched as he listened to Terriermon discuss the role the humans should play, and he even nodded when Adrian brought up some rather important parts as well. "Yes, it is probably best for the three of you to stay here. If something does go wrong, like throwing out more dark rings, then someone will need to carry word back to Terminus."
Hiroyo listened quietly to Violet mention just sitting around. She could sympathize! The fight against Hookmon in the school had been terrifying and she didn't think there would be anyone around who could conveniently bail them out if things went south. Still, they had responded. "If we don't do it, who will?" She asked, a sad smile on her face. "Everyone else will be stuck in their Rookie forms too. We should make an effort!"
"Yes! And I'm with Koba here!" Roger cut in as he began making his way down the hill they were on. "I'm tired of waiting! Let's get this show on the row!"
Morgan rolled his eyes and briefly launched himself in through the air to land on the Kunemon and pin him for the moment. "We will follow the tower team." He said, ignoring the protests coming from below. "If you get hurt yell for me, I can mitigate a little of the damage.
