The brown-outs had been extremely irritating to the researcher. Why had he even bothered moving to Terminus City if he couldn't even get a constant supply of electricity? Already, three of his experiments had resulted in failure as the power failed at critical points, ruining his testing and forcing him to start all over again. It was when he overheard that this was caused by the appearance of what the locals here called "Old Terminus" was what got him curious. Why, everything about the mysterious new city seemed to be right up his alley. As a Quantum-Data Physicist, the workings of such a place fascinated him. However, the power was of most concern to him. And when he heard that this mysterious corrosive "black data" was responsible, well, he felt more excited than annoyed when he found that out. This research, if successful, would definitely earn him his digimon PhD at last! However, of course, he would need to plan this meticulously. Datamon explored the news of other such expeditions when dealing with "corrupted data". For one thing, he would have to enlist the help of humans first. After all, when digimon went by themselves, they could easily get overwhelmed and lose themselves for the corruption - an effect that didn't seem to occur in humans. Even if he rarely trusted anyone other than his assistant Kokabuterimon, this was a case where he would have to make an exception. So, he would do that - posting on the local Terminus City job board that he needed help. And thus, here, at the agreed time and place - 10am at the entrance to Old Terminus, Datamon would watch and wait for his assistants.

Haru previously has for the most part been what could call a "digital tourist"; her visits to the Digital World have been more for fun than to achieve an actual goal. For someone with an Ultimate level partner, she seemed to stray away from dangerous activities as a whole.
Today was different however.
Hastily making her way through the busy streets of Terminus City, followed by a Meicrackmon Vicious Mode; Haru was for once wanting to employ perhaps employ Tawna's talents for an actual good cause. Needless to say, the feline was more than happy to oblige.
The request caught Haru's interest for both it's scientific research potential (something the Digital Field Club surely would benefit from immensely), but simply since it almost seemed to be the perfect job for Tawna. Corrupting black data? For her poison slash corruption absorbing partner, it seemed like the perfect matchup in a way.
Sure enough, the pair soon arrived at their target destination... the almost ominous entrance to Old Terminus. That smallish mechanical Digimon around the entrance had to be Nanomon, right?
"Your researchers are here as promised!" the girl greeted the mechanical Digimon as she soon enough drew near to the entrance. She saw a great oppurtunity for the club to learn about something new through this, so she was rather on the excited side of the spectrum. Her partner not so much, but Tawna was always like that.
"There is an issue involving this... black data, am I to be corrected? If so, I may be of use due to being particularly... resistant to effects such as that." the womanly beast Digimon by gogglehead's side eloquently asked, still attempting to partially understand the situation here. She was definitely more the fighting-type, but she did know that there was more that her destructive powers could be used for than just bloodshed... Haru has had an effect on her since she initially joined the girl.

During their past week or so of…pretty much being lost on the Digital World, Carlos had somehow not only managed to survive all of the curveballs thrown in his general direction, but he almost felt a bit wiser now. Either that or having helped his partner reach the next stage in evolution was making him way too cocky of their abilities. Both seemed just as likely.
And what better way to prove said wisdom that than by joining on a potentially dangerous and life endangering mission? Easy: There wasn't a better way
The request asking for assistance had actually been brought to his attention by Dio, who was clearly eager to put all of their new found power to the test. While the human was a bit doubtful at first, he didn’t have the heart to say no to his partner. Plus this would probably help out with the research club’s endeavors of gathering knowledge and learn more about their world, seeing how they were going to be working within Old Terminus, a place that seemed to be just as much of an anomaly to both human and digimon alike.
“Hope we’re not too late, researcher and muscle reporting for duty, hoping we can be helpful.” He greeted (with a somewhat self deprecating tone) the Datamon once they reached the meeting ground, the entrance to Old Terminus. Boy did this place bring back some memories…really fresh memories that couldn't be more than a week older, at most. “This isn’t exactly our first time peeping around Old Terminus, so we have a good general idea of how to move around down there.”
“As well as the dangers that lurk around there.” Dio added calmly.
Only then Carlos noticed that he recognized the other human present on the scene. It seemed he hadn’t been the only one on the club with a similar idea.
“Oh hey Haru, nice seeing you here.” He’d then approach and greet the girl with a friendly smile, the purple megalomaniacal partner not too far behind.
“Gogglehead.” He’d simply say, nodding a bit to Haru, then to (who he assumed was) her partner Tawna. “Furball.”

Helping a Datamon and his Assistant to, uh... restore the power of a city of sorts. That seemed to be something that pretty much anyone else would be able to do better, yet Amelie was still there. Why? Many reasons, actually.
While how she had stumbled into that wanted ad had been a combination of strange circumstances, the fact that she had been extremely curious about it had been the main driving force behind this small trip. Despite all the circumstances she had found herself in, the teenager held to the belief that the Digital World was an amazing place, and was thrilled at the prospect to know more about it. In a sense, that was what had resulted in her joining this... "club" Yukiko had created. She didn't know much about it, but that could be solved with enough time, right?
Case in point; at least two others members were coming too. While not the perfect chance to get to know each other better, at least that would help a bit. And thirdly... this corruption business could be somewhat related to her own business. If she could at least get a clue on how to... "fix" her situation, that'd be even better.
With those three thoughts in mind, she trod forward the entrance to Old Terminus, making sure to arrive right on time. This seemed like a serious deal, and appearing unprofessional was the least she wanted to do. She caught the glimpse of a pretty big anthropomorphic cat and another girl approaching and a man with an... Impmon as she did so, waving at them while she got there.
"Hey there." She greeted. "Name's Amelie and I, uh... I'm here to assist you on this journey. Pleased to work you all."
Somewhat awkward, and a bit too formal, but hopefully good enough for the situation. Now... to wait for the rest, she guessed. OOC: Almost theeeeeeeer!

After long debate, Maia had finally decided to venture back to Terminus. After all, she couldn't just sit around in remote parts of the Digital World all day, every day, right? While Kuu had been pushing for his tamer to return to her world, this was at least a baby step! Though, maybe one step forward meant two steps back, ultimately.
Having spotted the job board, the two paused to look over it. "What're we doing?" The Kudamon chirped, tilting his head. The last time they had taken up a mission, it had been one of the worst choices they could have made! Why was this Maia's first stop, after taking so long to recover from the last? They were still suffering side effects from the D-Reaper! Now, she wanted to find something else?
Please be 'save a kitten from a tree' or something! Or an eating contest! Or...!
"Corruption," the teen murmured, reaching up to dig her nails under the corner of one of the job requests. Pulling at the page, it began to tear, before the tamer pressed her lips tightly together and let go. No. It was rude to rip down other people's advertisements! Even if certain words might be a bit of a trigger to her! After leaving the ad mostly in tact, the girl shifted on her heel, and began toward Old Terminus. If they moved fast enough, surely they'd still make it!
"Y'sure you wanna?" The [surprising] voice of reason inquired from her shoulder. His body lifted, then dropped, as Maia gave a shrug. "We gonna be heroes?" Ah, right. Heroes. Kuu always wanted to be a hero. That seemed like good enough logic for him!
"Sure," the girl agreed, continuing pace. "If we get there on time, at least."
And, as luck would have it, they did! So far, it seemed that three other humans had decided to participate, along with two Digimon. While Maia made it a point to keep her eyes off of the Impmon in the group, Kuu gave it a quizzical stare. "I never knew those were such comm--" Now, the fox spotted a large cat-monster. Jaw dropped, while yellow eyes grew to the size of a Frisbee. It reminded him of a big version of someone he once knew! "I like you!" The fox shouted toward the Vicious Meicrackmon, before Maia could even consider how to start their introduction. "Can we be frie--?!"
Soon, mouth was clamped shut by both of his tamer's hands wrapping around his entire face. He was shouting in her ear! What else was she supposed to do at a time like this? "I'm glad we made it in time," Maia started, pretending entirely that her partner hadn't already ruined the chance of a quiet introduction. Then again, since when was any introduction with Kuu a quiet one? "I'm Maia, this is--"
"--Aiiiir?" The fox squeaked out from his tamer's fingers, before she finally released her hold on his face. With a rapid shake of his head, the rookie seemed to bounce back from his moment of suffocation, to happily finish his introduction! "I'm Kuu! We're heroes! Nice to meet you!"
Shoving her hands into her pockets, the teen felt the need to quietly point out, "we're not really heroes. Kuu's just easily--" uh, what was the right word for this? "--excited." Close enough! "I hope we can help out."
Would anyone else be showing up for this, too? Only time would tell!

Post by Ravenna on Apr 6, 2018 9:49:09 GMT
Another busy day in Terminus City. Digimon from all over the Digital World hustle and bustle about. A lone crow watches the city streets from atop a tall building. Ravenna the Spirit User has taken a bold step, and accepted her first big task here in the Digital World. In her Psycrowmon form, Ravenna takes to the skies, soaring across the city. She follows the directions to the meeting point, and after getting sidetracked by a half-eaten hot dog laying on the ground, she reaches her destination.
Ravenna perches down on a post, then deactivates her Digimon form and returns to normal. Her dark hair is quite messy, and she is wearing a long white jacket, black shorts, and long black and white socks. She sees the other Humans and Digimon gathered for the assignment. Normally Raye isn't the shy type, but she is still new to the Digital World, and with so many unfamiliar faces, her nervousness gets the best of her. Still, she is going to put her best foot forward, and do what she can to help others. At least, that's what she thinks a Spirit User does.
"Hey there... My name is Ravenna. I take it you're here for the mission then?"
A voice speaks to Ravenna from her D-Tector, the voice of the Human Spirit she procured that allows her to Spirit Evolve even further.
"Be careful, Ravenna. You are entering a dangerous and uncharted area."
Hearing that wasn't making Ravenna feel any better. She's so nervous, her legs start to tremble a bit.
(Thinking) "Okay, calm down. It's just like getting anxiety before a big track meet."
Unfortunately, she doesn't recognize anyone here. Still, this is a great chance to put her new powers to the test, and see if her training in the forest has paid off.
"As you saw, I can turn into a bird. It might be useful for like, being stealthy or something."

Datamon was broken from his thoughts by the arrival of the humans, staggering a little and waving his arms to hold his balance. "Oh! Gosh! Sorry, you just startled me there" he said, then looked up at Haru. "So... you're a human are you?" he asked, rubbing his chin with his mechanical hand. "Gosh, you're smaller than I pictured but oh well, inconsequential trivia. Pleased to meet you. And..." he turned to Tawna. "Ah, hello. That would be rather useful for the purpose of this mission, yes".
Next to arrive was Carlos and Dio. "I see, well, Old Terminus isn't all that bad... once you get past the anomalies and hazards and... mutants" he then realized with a start that what he was saying might be frightening. "Not that I'm saying we'll encounter any down there! If we move in a group that is..."
While Datamon was doing most of the talking, Kokabuterimon was being mostly silent for the moment, taking in the faces and names of the arrivals.
Next was another girl. Datamon blinked at her, noting that she didn't appear to have a partner. "Ah... hello, Miss Amelie" he said after she introduced herself. "I mean no offense to humans, but... there may be some risks down here and you may want to bring along a digimon partner".
"She may be a spirit user, Mr. Datamon" Kokabuterimon said in a curt voice.
"Oh. Are you really?! Gosh, that must be... something" Datamon said awkwardly. Next was a blonde girl and a rather excitable Kudamon. At least he didn't seem nervous, Datamon thought, before greeting them too. And the last to arrive was another girl. Datamon noted that she had a D-Tector instead of a partner as well.
"Alright, we all seem to be here... at least... physically speaking" Datamon began. "Now then. I take it you know the goal of this excursion. Terminus City power has been overloading rather a lot lately and we've had unfortunate blackouts. So since the Power Company refuse to fix the problem since they claim that their union policy does not cover going into dangerou- I mean... high risk facilities to be possibly consum- I mean... negatively affected by corrupted data, so, I've called you all here to help fix the problem myself".
KoKabuterimon then activated a device with his talons, displaying a large 3D holographic map of Terminus City, zooming in on the underground.
"Now then, how it was originally laid out was that this entrance would lead directly to the underground power station" Datamon explained, pointing to an area marked in yellow on the map. "However, due to the emergence of what people now call "Old Terminus", the path has been 'warped' so to say, so now the route has been cut off by the emergence of the old city".
He clicked his fingers and the hologram became animated. The power station seemed to have been shifted deeper underground while a large area highlighted as blue and red move in to cut off the path between it and the surface. The part of Old Terminus appeared to be a deep shaft, with some kind of facility at the bottom.
"I've taken extensive reconnaissance, once or twice, and found that the only way to reach the station is to pass through this area of Old Terminus, then once we manage that, we can deal with the power" he said. "Do you have any questions? If you do, just say 'Apple'" he then paused. "Did I just say 'apple'? Sorry, I meant, 'so'"
The lights around them flickered for a moment to emphasize that the power situation wasn't going away soon.

Post by Haru Toriya and Tawna on Apr 9, 2018 23:05:35 GMT
Haru while was the first to arrive on-scene, that didn't last for long... She smile in mild surprised in spotting the highly-tanned Carlos along with their demonic (albeit at least in Haru's eyes, dorkily cute) partner. "Heh ~ Hey Carlos, you too Dio. Surprised to see ya two all the way over here! Guess that means this mission is kinda partially some club-work too." she pluckily spoke, laughing slightly at the Impmon's nickname for her (Gogglehead, huh? Cute name honestly!).
Tawna just returned Dio's mildly snide nicknames for her and Haru with a roll of the eyes (parroted by the Mini-Meis floating by her side). "I'll take furball over knocker cat when it comes to demeaning nicknames at least."
Speaking of the Digital Field Club, Haru noticed another somewhat familiar face... though not one she has yet met in-person really for long! The tall, dark-brown haired young lady without a Digimon for a partner Haru was able to recognize off the club's LINE as Amelie, which was fortunate she supposed for their club! A lot of valuable knowledge and experience as a team could be gathered from this mission, plus it'd help give the club a good name among residents in the city hopefully! "Good to meet you too Amelie! I'm sorry if maybe we've not had the chance to talk... Let's make sure to fix that after this!" she pleasantly greeted Amelie, nodding cheerfully at the half-head taller girl.
Yet another person arrived to the scene... though they nor Haru would get the chance to say anything before the tiny white-fox they had suddenly began assaulting Tawna with friendliness. "...? Fr-friends?" the Ultimate level asked, actually mildly confused by the Kudamon's warm reaction to her. It was so affectionately friendly that honestly Tawna was taken aback... actually intimidated by the tiny kuda gitsune Digimon. She glanced over to Haru with a comedically meek look on her face... way more meek than her appearance would suggest.
Fortunately, little Kuu's Tamer seemed to get that her partner was perhaps a bit on the wild side... though Haru could not help but laugh it off slightly. Gosh that lil' bugger was a cutie pie! Haru couldn't help but smile warmly as she offered a hand to Maia for a friendly handshake. "Nice to meet you too! Haru, and this is Tawna! Sorry if Tawna's a lil' shy... she's not mean or anything, she's just kinda unused to people!" the girl sweetly introduced herself, holding onto the Meicrackmon Vicious Mode's hand as she briefly pulled out her Digivice... what previously had been a D-3 having recently shifted in shape to that of a D-Arc with an orange-white casing.
They all had one more Digimon show up... well, actually not quite! The small crow Digimon suddenly shifted shape to that of a blue-haired girl, Haru realizing that they were a Spirit Wielder! While she has seen Spirit Wielders, she's yet to see them use their powers in action... Honestly, she was kinda envious in a way! Must have been cool to be able to be a Digimon like that whenever one wanted to... "I'd bet it could be useful! Being able to fly like that must be really nice ~"
Introductions and stuff aside, it seemed like they all were on the right track now to get things started, though she did have to double take in regards to some of Datamon's musings. She was pretty sure that they were going to say consume just a moment ago, but she wasn't going to try and butt in beyond offering her own two cents about the power company's kinda immoral business policies. "That seems like some shady business practices on their part if you ask me." she ended up commenting, though kept her attention on the hologram setup by Datamon.
"Path I presume is treacherous... though safety in numbers?" Tawna dully spoke as she briefly clawed herself scratching her fur with her natural claws, her red digizoid claws on her gauntlets retracted as she did so. Meanwhile, her Mini-Meis were observing the others... one of the small bundles of fluffy data hovering around Kuu, pecking at their ear lightly (but playfully). Nonetheless, that part didn't seem to pose much of a problem to Tawna... though she was positive that would not be it. "It's this power plant we must be wary, or am I to be corrected?"

“It’s a small world I guess. Good to see a familiar face here though.” He said with a smile and a friendly (if perhaps a bit too brusque) pat on Haru’s back. Though his expression became a bit more serious as he pointed at the dark entrance while adding, “Makes the prospect of going down there a lot more bearable.” His previous experience with the ruined city had not been a pleasant one, even if admittedly his partner had gotten the worst of it…but at least they had some more backup than last time, so things should go more smoothly this time around.
Hopefully.
Admittedly, there was a small moment of fright that came over Carlos when his partner greeted the other two club members in his usual standoffish style. Last time he had tried that (which ironically was also at the entrance of Old Terminus) it had almost ended in a fight, which had only been only narrowly avoided. Luckily, Haru didn’t seem to take offense to it, while Tawna just seemed indifferent about it.
Meanwhile Dio, upon hearing Tawna’s dry reply to his couldn help but begin snickering uncontrollably, for some (possibly childish) reason finding Tawna’s other nickname not funny, but downright hilarious.
“Pffft hahaha! “Knocker cat”! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that, it’s glorious, I’ll have to write it down somewhere.” He said with a smile, not even bothering to hide his laughter. He was actually seriously considering starting to call the tall feline like that, but ultimately decided against it. Even someone with his larger than life ego knew it was probably a bad idea to make an Ultimate level digimon angry at him…not that it was enough to wipe that amused smile from his face.
Immediately someone else arrived, a lone girl named Amelie, which Haru quickly recognized as yet another member of the Club.
“Hey Amelie, good to have you on board too.” He greeted the girl with a friendly nod. “Welp, counting the digimon that makes it five club members, I guess this is now an unofficial Club assignment.” He shrugged. Seemed today’s expedition would be beneficial not only for the city, but for the Field Club as well. Two birds with one stone!
Amelie, however, was not the last one to arrive, as soon another girl that called herself Maia also approached the group, accompanied with a small (and ridiculously adorable) white fox looking digimon named Kuu, which soon began to pester Haru’s tall partner, much to her confusion and Dio’s amusement.
“Better her than me.” The imp thought to himself, not being too big a fan of overly friendly creatures either.
Finally, the last member of the group arrived in the form of a raven that, much to Carlos’ shock soon transformed into a human girl. The man’s eyes widened for a moment, awestruck.
“God that was…so awesome.” He managed to say once the girl presented herself as Ravenna. So that’s how a Spirit Wielder looked. Needless to say Carlos felt the slightest bit of jealousy upon seeing that, after all who hadn’t wished at least once in their lives to transform into a bird and being able to fly? If anything, that girl was living the dream. He soon snapped out of his surprise however, as soon as he felt his partner harshly prodding him in the ribs with his elbow. Right! The mission.
It seemed the whole group had arrived, so Carlos shifted his focus to the Datamon’s explanation of the matter at hand: the power brownouts, the power plant and the “corruption” within said plant. While their employer seemed…eccentric, to say the least, at the very least he seemed relatively knowledgeable about the whole thing. At least he seemed knowledgeable enough for Carlos to feel the need to ask a question.
“Uhm, apple,” the man raised his hand to ask when the explanation was over, before quickly correcting himself “I mean “so”…whatever, screw it: what are we supposed to do about the corruption when we find it?”
“Clearly we get rid of it, dumbass.” Dio snidely remarked, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Which granted, probably was, but that’s not why Carlos was asking.
“Well, yeah, but how? And please don’t say “punching it really hard”.”

Amy's entrance seemed to have been taken pretty well, at least by the Haru and Carlos. Not that was entirely unexpected, buuut at least it served to reassure her a bit. The brunette's expression relaxed somewhat before addressing the two humans.
"Uuuuh, that's okay." In all honesty, she was a bit taken aback by Haru's freshness. Thinking about getting to know each other after a potentially life-threatening experience was definitely something that would be on the back of Amy's mind but heck, why not. A small smile began to make its way towards her features, accompanied by a gentle nod. "Sure, let's do that once we're done with this."
Carlos himself was pretty friendly too, even going as far as to dub this an "unofficial club assignment". She appreciated the eagerness, for sure! "Likewise. This is going to be pretty interesting..." Was that too much pressure? Probably not, but she made sure to have in mind that this was probably going to be more important than what she expected.
Datamon's own inquiry came next. Well, at least his assistant knew his stuff, even though... "Yes. Just as the gentleman said. Hope that won't be detrimental to this endeavor." Despite her preference to not resort to violence, that was probably the endgame of this small journey. Better to steel herself for the inevitable, just in case.
Well, wasn't this quite the reunion? Two girls were the next arrivals. A tamer with a Kudamon that... huh; yeah! She remembered her from the tournament. And could confirm that, just as Maia had put it, Kuu was really excitable.
Following suit, a crow-like bird descended near them slowly transforming itself into a dark blue haired girl that introduced herself as Ravenna right away. With that, it seemed like her small group was finally complete. With a small wave of her hand, Amelie greeted back the newcomers, the smile on her face getting ever so slightly bigger, part due to reminiscing how Kuu almost got into the arena back then.
"Nice to meet you, Maia, Kuu, Ravenna. Name's Amelie; hope we can get through this, uh... issue together." Was that downplaying what was happening? Thus far, it didn't seem like something overly complex, but there was only one way to find out. Not like she was in a hurry; they'd enter soon enough.
The digimon's explanation was pretty on point; sure, it seemed like something they would be able to fix with some effort and luck; everyone seemed to be pretty capable, and while appearances could deceive, she could only hope for the best.
She had one question though. "How about you two? Are you going down with us or just staying outside for mission control? I guess that's pretty important in case you want to be protected from potential perils or something."
And that probably meant they would have to split. Hopefully that won't be the case.

The teen would give a small nod when acknowledged by the mission-givers, while listening to everyone greeting one another. So, it seemed that part of these people were all from the same club? That was probably a safe move on their part. Teams had to work together pretty well, right? Maia wouldn't know. She wasn't part of one! But, maybe someday!
Poor Tawna, though! She didn't look like she knew what to make of Kuu! While Maia occupied one hand with keeping Kuu tightly bound to her shoulder, she reached out to shake Haru's hand with the other. With the Mini-Mei poking around at Kuu, it wasn't like she really needed to keep him too restricted! Distractions were the best way to keep her partner under control! The rookie gave a happy trill, reaching out a paw to lightly boop at the strange entity. If only he could learn to keep his paws to himself!
On the bright side, this would give Maia an opportunity to actually talk to the girl partnered with the cat-mon! Or, so she thought. "Kuu's pretty good at--"
"Friends!"
"--Breaking through--"
"Good friends!"
"--To shy people."
"Maybe bestest friends!"
Okay, this was ridiculous! "Kuu, please?" Thirty seconds of silence! That's all the tamer wanted! And, somehow, received! With a small sigh, she released her hold on the Kudamon's collar, and he soon slithered down her arm and dramatically plopped onto the ground. He was kind of hoping his 'assigned' Mini-Mei would follow! "Anyway. Hopefully, we can be friends," the teen added, with a smile. Or acquaintances. Or anything that didn't involve killing each other, really. Maia wasn't all that picky!
While Kuu's first target had been to bounce toward Tawna, in hopes of establishing friendship, there were more people to focus on! Amelie soon became his next target, as the Kudamon jumped across the ground toward her. Kuu had learned that he could float months ago, but it seemed that the creature still primarily opted to bound across the ground, even though two legs made this far more hassle than it was worth! "You smell pretty!" The fox chirped, tilting his head in as cute of fashion as possible. "Like flowers!" Maybe that was what had caught his attention about the girl! Apparently, any perfume she was wearing had found its way to the rookie's nose! "Also! You're tall! Can I climb you?" Oh. Right. There was that reason, too. It looked like Dio was going to get lucky and avoid the Kudamon's attention. For now!
Maia tried her best to press her lips together and avoid making an ashamed expression at the Kudamon. "At least he asked this time," she mumbled, mostly to herself. It was better than any alternatives! Eyes shifted to look at the next spirit user to join, who had interestingly appeared as a crow! Huh! Well, that seemed two make two spirit users in this group, if Maia was assessing the situation correctly! Unlike the others, she opted not to say anything about the spirit evolution, or the flight. No matter how many times the teen was forced into flying, she was never going to find an appreciation for it!
Much like corruption was another one of those keywords that Maia really didn't like. Body tensed, ever-so-subtly, at the term. First, when Datamon used it. And, again, when Carlos said it. Maybe, she shouldn't have taken this mission if she was going to be such a pansy over words! Either way, she was here now, and far too stubborn to be put off by such a thing! Eyebrow raised at the 'apple' from the two, also, trying to fully establish where that seemed like an easy mistake. Granted, everyone might just be as weird as Kuu, and use random words as fillers. Who knew! Maia certainly wasn't going to point it out!
"I imagine, we find the source of the corruption and either contain or destroy it?" Maia both attempted to answer Carlos, and question Datamon at the same time. Could corruption be contained? The word felt as bitter on her tongue as it did in her head. Ugh. Either way, the teen suspected that her interest looked similar to Tawna's! And, by that, she assumed she was strongly lacking the concern that they should probably have for the mission!
Of course, anything involving the cause of the problem surely wouldn't be an easy fix. Giving a small spin at Amelie's feet, Kuu looked to the job-giver, "I have a question!" Oh, this couldn't be good. His tamer could only pray that it wasn't going to be requesting food! "How dangerous is this for the humans?" That was... wow. That was actually a legitimate question! Color Maia surprised!
Other than that, it seemed like everyone had already posed decent enough questions that Maia couldn't think of anything else to really contribute! Maybe that was a sign of carelessness! Was everyone else more prepared for this task?

With everyone here, Ravenna starts to warm up to the group a bit. There is another Spirit User there, and she isn't the only girl, so that made her feel like she belongs there. This is the first time the young track athlete has been in a large group of people who know about Digimon. Unlike Ravenna, some of them know each other from some kind of club? That's nice. Ravenna didn't really participate in any clubs lately, as her time is divided between school, track, homework, and learning more about these Digital Monster creatures.
Haru and Carlos both comment on Ravenna's Psycrowmon form. She was a bit surprised people seemed to like it.
"Oh, thank you. Yes, flying is lots of fun! I guess turning into animals is sort of uncommon. I'm still new to this kind off thing, but whenever I put my mind to something, I always give it my all."
Datamon goes on to explain more about the mission and this strange area known as Old Terminus. Ravenna thought every area of the Digital World feels weird, but apparently this area is even more unusual than a lot of areas. Ravenna watches as Datamon pulls up a 3D map of the location. Ravenna tries to follow along, not really understanding much about power supplies or corruptions.
Ravenna watches as the Humans interact with the Digimon. Kuu seems to be very friendly, showing attention to Amelie. It appears that some Digimon were almost like having a pet that could talk. As a Spirit User, Ravenna didn't have a partnership with a Digimon. Just Salem, another Psycrowmon that is obnoxious and overbearing, far from the ideal pet. Seeing the Digimon acting playful showed Ravenna another side to them, besides the fighting.
When asked if they had any questions to say apples, I mean so... Ravenna didn't really have any specific questions, but some of the others asked some good questions. Was it best to feign understanding and risk making an error down the line, or acting like a novice and exposing her inexperience? Maybe she was just stressing herself out. With so many Tamers and Wielders, they could rely on each other when things get crazy.
"Alright, find the source of the corruption, delete it, and restore the power. I think I got that right. This sounds kind of fun. Let's just hope that fun doesn't include too much danger."

Datamon seemed to be relieved at the cordial relations the group seemed to have. "Ah, good, you seem to know each other I take it?" he asked, cheerfully.
"Exactly, that's what I told them. I told them 'You're paid to keep Terminus City powered aren't you?' and they told me 'clause this' and 'paragraph that' and 'our workers shall not be forced to enter places of considerable risk of being overcome by the forces of darkness'... or some such thing like that, but not like that" Datamon said, relieved at getting this off his chest (well he technically didn't have a chest but that was beside the point). He backtracked on the last part of the sentence.
"Yes, the path is considerably risky, I'm afraid I can't guarantee your safety, hence why I've asked for experienced volunteers in the matter" Datamon answered Tawna. "And, yes, if reports are to be believed, being wary would be a valid means of approaching the power plant. Indeed on the approaches too".
With that he turned to Carlos. "Indeed, ideally we need to remove it from the power generator area. However, given that yours truly is in fact a "Data"mon, I believe that with careful approaches and proper scientific method, I may be able to analyze the corrupted data and be able to safely neutralize and quarantine it. Yes, I may not have a peer reviewed paper but, I think I'm pretty good at data research. So, if you would be so kind as to escort myself and my assistant down to the corruption, I'd have a good chance of getting rid of it without the need of a senseless bout of bickering and... explosions and all that what occurs in a battle".
Next he turned to Amelie. "Of course, not at all. As far as I know, spirits seem to be immune from the corruption as well, so, the more the merrier".
Datamon affirmed her question. "Yes, that's right. However, as a Perfect level I will of course be willing to utilise my extensive years of combat abilities to, erm, support you wholeheartedly in the background". In truth he had never battled before. But as a Perfect level he had plenty of abilities that could help out the team.
To Kuu's question, Datamon honestly blinked, putting one of his hands to his 'chin'. "Well, considering the fact that I've never heard of a human dying on one of these Corrupted Data incidents, I would say... it's not overwhelmingly dangerous, but, please do be careful, and you and the other digimon should look after them". Datamon had an inkling that the humans were the key to eliminating the corruption. That and the fact that they had no means of reconfiguration like digimon.
Kokabuterimon gave a small cough, which was his means of telling Datamon 'you've probably been rambling on for long enough, sir'. Datamon understood at once. "Well then. If we're ready, shall we proceed?"
If they were, Datamon would lead them forward toward the maintenance shaft where their journey would begin.

Tawna merely raised an eyebrow at the Impmon's cackling. Humor was a concept entirely alien to her. Still, made more sense than this uppity tube sausage of Maia's. It was sad to think that her Mini-Meis seemed to have an easier time with people than her, the one that had somewhat befriended Kuu playfully zipping in the air from side to side, it tailing Kuu wherever they went (joining them in their antics in pestering Amelie).
Haru giggled at the awkwardness on Tawna's end, resisting any urge to scoop up the Kudamon and glomp them. "It's good! I hope we'll all be friends after this! I mean, a stranger is only a stranger if you treat them like one." she quipped towards Maia, her warm and sociable side showing. Club members or not, she wanted to meet with everyone in a way. As someone who didn't really have friends (or at least the good kind) to begin with, it was a welcome change for the girl least in her eyes.
For Haru, it made sense that they needed to at least air on the side of caution... Datamon's request did demand folks who were at least competent, though she felt she has had at least enough experience in the Digital World now. Tawna while was pretty inexperienced at a lot of social things, she HAS seen their skill in combat... so she hoped that would fare incase they all get attacked. Still, they could be a bit on the reckless side... "I'd hope we'd not have to use explosions... I think we'd ALL get into a lot of trouble if we accidentally destroyed the power plant." she mused, admittingly a bit disturbed of the idea of getting in serious trouble with the city if things got really bad... which they shouldn't, right?
"I mean, explosions CAN be provided if necessary." Tawna added in, missing the point of the conversation briefly.
"Again, preferably no!" the goggle-wearing dork promptly hushed the tallest Digimon of the group at this moment. Perhaps it was for the best no one else kinda hears about the Mini-Meis being technically also bombss. That aside, it seemed like they were all set a the very least. Pulling out her D-Arc just in case, she gave the rest of the group a nod. "Well, I think we're ready to roll out... Besides, I don't think anyone is gonna want to mess with us as long as we stay close with eachother!"

“Sort off, yeah. We know each other… enough for this, at the very least.” Carlos nodded to Datamon’s query about the group amiable relation. Granted, he didn’t know those two personally all that much other than some small chats over the Club’s Line chat…but he planned on rectifying that as soon as possible, however. If they were to work together on more assignments such as this one, getting acquainted and making friends seemed like the best (and really only) option.
Speaking of which, it was probably good to do the same with Maia and Ravenna. The more the merrier, after all! While the awkward scientist’s attempts to downplay the dangers of the expedition did little to reassure Carlos (his passing mention of “digimon being overcome by the forces of darkness” being particularly worrying) the idea of going back to Old Terminus wasn’t all that appealing to him, even knowing that so far no human had died on any corruption related incident yet. But then again, he had joined to this expedition out of his own volition, so he wouldn’t back down now. If anything, he was more worried for his partner, he had arguably been through the worst of it.
But…at least so far he seemed rather calm, probably because they were going in there with a lot of backup compared to the last time. Such a large group of individuals would have no trouble dealing with the darkness below. Or at least, so he hoped.
“So we keep you two away from harm, and you take care of the corruption. Got it.” He said with a thumbs up. Seemed simple enough, but he knew better than to expect a walk on the park from this whole ordeal. Especially since explosions had been specifically brought up.
Speaking of which, Dio, who had been busy trying to hide behind his tamer to keep off Kuu’s overly friendly radar, seemed to perk up a bit when explosions where mentioned, and he quickly piped in after Tawna, clearly missing the point of bringing up explosions in the first place.
“Well, I don’t know about explosions, but I can provide fire.” Dio commented, a small orb of fire appearing on his index finger with a snap of his fingers. “Lots of it.”
“Yeah, how about we all try to avoid making explosions and fire for the time being?”
“Suit yourself. Though if something attacks us on the way there I don’t want to hear you whining and begging for my fire to save you.” The imp shrugged, snuffing out the flame with a quick wave of his hand. Carlos rolled his eyes, but didn’t respond anything else, figuring it was better to let it go and focus on getting started.
“Yeah, I think we’re good to go…and yeah, let’s try to stay together, that should be significantly safer.”
