To say that today had been a busy day for Kan would be a lie. He had a single customer come in, browse the shop shelves for the better part of an hour before picking out some nondescript computer part for a computer back at home before paying and curtly leaving without so much as a thank you. Most of his customer base was from the local around society hill so they were very snootish even if his shop was immaculate in comparison to what you'd normally expect from a single manned shop.
Everything that he made hadn't even been looked over, they had been ignored and left unattended in the glass case nearest him. The gentle whirring of the underlying electric engine that powered the rotor allowed him to look at his little bits and pieces without having to turn the bloody thing.
It was all sorts of useful stuff for every day and there was nothing special about them really. Most of them were meant to be tacked onto everyday appliances for better adaptability to their owner. It was mostly little things but the shopkeeper didn't really much care for them.
Where the real money came from? Was the stuff he made for other humans aware of the digital world. He never took from his own stock as per a rule he had learned from a favorite movie of his "Scarface". It certainly had taught him a few important things about running a business legal or not.
The Spirit user sighed and gently drummed his fingers on the glass counter top. His store wasn't very busy this time of year anyways; most people were out enjoying other things and not worrying about the little stuff that they wanted. Most of them would be near the airport or tourist attractions trying to get their fix of foreigners.
It likely didn't help it was near lunchtime anyways...

Ayumi was strolling down the streets of society hill, marveling at all the opulence. It had been a boring day for her so far. Yukiko was at work, and the club wouldn't meet again for a few days. Plus, she couldn't go to the Digital World again because after the ruins incident they were getting worried for her safety, so she had to stay out for at least a few days! So, with nothing to do, a walk seemed like a good way to kill some time. Beside her walked a cat. Black coat, white tail tip, white feet. Solomon had chosen this as his Holosuit look, not wanting to look like a human. He claimed he could not emote in a holosuit either, so why going for a human look? Animals, at least, emoted with their body, and he could do that. Ayumi was a tad miffed, but did not question it. So, the girl and her partner-turned-cat were looking at the buildings.
And then, they saw it: A shop selling electronic gadgets. My, what was this doing in this fancypants neighbourhood? Last time she was here she hadn't seen it! Curious, most curious! This requires investigation. "You see this? Solomon? Let's check it out!" The Digimon preferred not to talk when in Hologuise, but still nodded. The two then crossed the street, and Ayumi enthusiastically opened the door. "Gooood day!"

Kan sighed softly and stretched, crackign his back a bit as he considered going upstairs to get a book or something. There wasn't much for him to do currently as he had no big projects that begged his attention after the last one. The client of course had been very satisfied and had payed very well. They likely were going to be back in six or so months with another shipment for him to look over and fix. They certainly paid enough for him to make due in the time between as well which was always a plus.
Just as he started to stand up the shopkeep noted someone crossing the street to his shop. It was a cheerful looking young woman, with pep in their step and invested interest in his shop. He could tell the latter part by how they cut across the street; most people would just walk by with a small head turn. He'd take a moment to look around noting that everything was still in place and his shop was still as pristine as it was before the last customer that had entered. He'd have to make sure to tidy up further after this as the shopkeep kept a "Rule of two" to make sure his shop looked presentable.
Once the door opened up the shopkeep gave a small smile and dipped his head in a nod. He wasn't usually the smiling or cheerful sort but with how his life had been going as of late gave him more of a reason to do so than usual.
"Good morning Ma'am. Welcome to my store; is there anything you're looking for in particular today or just here to browse?

"Oh, just browsing, sir!" Ayumi was a bit surprised at the sheer size of this man. Clearly, he could not have been a local, her mom always says Western people are really tall, maybe he was from the West! Regardless, she had gadgets to browse! Lessee, what do these do? Are they calculators? Sensors? Geocaching tools? There's so much!
As for Solomon, he hopped onto the counter, and sat down, looking at the man. He still had to learn a bit about how a cat acted, but apparently they do this?

"Take your time then Ma'am, I'll be here if you have any questions or concerns. The outer section is for computers, inner section is for household appliances, anything in the glass counter top is handmade. If you want to look at car parts the garage is open as well but I'll have to come with you for that."
Kan looked over the individual that had entered his shop. Her dress was like that of the locals but there was a distinct air of difference about her. Perhaps it was the fact she was the first person he had seen with this particular skin tone? He couldn't really say and he wasn't the sort to bring it up during a passing conversation like this if at all. It didn't really much matter as she was merely a customer.
He had to admit though that it was nice having a variety of people come into his shop regardless of where or when they were from. The shopkeep blinked however when the cat that was with her jumped up on the counter. He'd raise a brow a bit and returned the look that the cat gave him. It was remarkably well trained if it didn't need a leash; perhaps it was one of those working cats?
There was no question that this wasn't a stray, it'd be too skittish otherwise. But the man would of course keep his hands off of the animal as it was rude to touch one without permission or the like.
"I must say that your cat here is remarkably well trained."
Upstairs however when solomon hopped onto the counter he easily came within range of Silvermon's detection radius and the spirit stiffened a little bit. What was a digimon doing in this shop? He wasn't getting any danger pings from kan to come to the device right away so something of course wasn't going wrong. The spirit in question hesitated before standing up hand brushing over his sword.
If this presence remained too long he'd have to address it by going downstairs and seeing what the problem was. It wouldn't be the first time that the shopkeeper had a digimon come in to purchase something. After all they were listed in the digital world for those digimon that traveled to the human one.

Ayumi's eyes sparkled, moderately when Kan mentioned the computer section, even more when he mentioned he made them by hand. She immediately went over to the computer section and gave them a careful browse. "Oh, you make them yourself? That's super cool! I make my own, too!" She turned and smiled when she mentioned the cat. "Hahahah, yes, you could say that! He's more like a loyal dog than a cat, but I guess sometimes cats are weird like that! Say hello to the man, Solomon!" The cat promptly brushed his head against the man. He had spent the entire night watching cat videos. He hoped this was proper cat behaviour.

The shopkeep rubbed his neck a bit and shifted to keep watch of the woman as she went over to the computer section. She was certainly energetic wasn't she? He couldn't blame her though, most people that heard that scoffed at him or the things he had made and preferred the 'standard' stuff that he had here as well. It was in it's own little section away from the stuff he had made.
"That I do, I order mostly everything in parts and make them myself. A few hours for simpler pieces and the more complicated stuff can take a day or two. Really now? What sort of things do you make? The computer parts aren't the only thing I've made either, most of the shop is handmade past the 'standard' bits I have to keep in stock per legal reasons. Is it just computer stuff or is there other things you make too?
Kan returned the smile and shifted slightly, raising a brow as the cat brushed against him as though knowing it was being talked about. He'd very carefully give the animal a small pat. He wasn't much of an animal guy, most animals were terrified of him and could sense his spirits when they were around.
"That's fair, it wouldn't be the first time I've run into a cat like a dog or a dog as a cat. Solomon huh? Any particular reason for the name or...?"
Upstairs the spirit shifted a bit, stiffening further as he could feel that his user was in direct contact with the being that he was 'reading'. It was enough to have the spirit start going down the stairs. Though there wouldn't be any sound from the 'mon' going down them. It would be somewhat easier to sense now though as the spirit was in motion. Was his user in danger or perhaps he was just talking to another one of his kind?

"Ah I make..." Well, she could not really tell this man that she was making tools to explore and research the digital world with! This guy may not be acquainted with Digimon! "...I make a lot of programs, but also little gadgets like scanners or navigation tools, yes!" She laughed when questioned about the name. "Hahaha, yes, see, Solomon is a wiseman from the Bible, and Solomon sure is smart, isn't he? So that's why he has that name!"
Solomon knew better. He got this name because she wanted to flatter him. She was so happy to finally have a partner that she gave him the most flattering name she knew. He was ok with that, though. He enjoyed the headpats...and then realised he should be -purring-, something he clearly could not do. Darn, this was not well thought out.

The shopkeep tilted his head as the other seemed to stumble on what they made. Was it something he shouldn't know? Or perhaps she was trying to figure out how best to explain it to him? The man blinked a few times as she started to explain. Those were certainly useful for people and Kan grinned a little bit.
"Certainly useful, I imagine that a few companies would be interested in scanners or navigation tools. I have a few of the former I use to help with repairing things people bring in myself, but I imagine that your scanners are likely more for locations?"
Kan felt his eyebrows raise a bit as the answer to his query about the cat's name. So it was a biblical reference? The man was a little surprised to say the least; it was rare these days to find someone naming their cat in such a serious manner.
It didn't stop him however from patting the cat for a little bit. He'd shift slightly and turn in his chair raising his brow slightly as he could feel Silvermon getting closer. It was strange to say the least, he normally didn't during the day unless something was wrong.
"I'd say so yes, it's been quite a long time since I've heard someone use a biblical name for a pet."
His statment was punctuated by Silvermon peering around from the corner of where the staircase was. To normal people it'd look like there was nothing there. But to anyone that was aware of the digital world a furred head that was somewhat wolfish peeked around the corner eyeing solomon and their 'tamer' for a time...
"I do have some things that would be good for scanners or navigation tools in that section, parts and the like too. If you're looking for casings I've got a few things that could serve as them."

"Ahaaaa...yeah, you could say they are for locations!"
That wasn't a lie. They were for the Digital World, after all. She was very grateful for the change of topic when he mentioned cases. "Oh, yes, I would love to see what you think would work best!" She got closer to the counter, and caught a glimpse of wolfsnout. Eh? Did this man have a dog?
Solomon knew instantly that this wasn't an ordinary dog. No, this was a Digimon. What was a Digimon doing here? This was a troublesome development. Still, he sought eye-contact with the canine Digimon and nodded. He hoped it would signify acknowledgement and peacefulness.

"You'll probably want something more heavy duty if it's for large locations then. For smaller locations I'd suggest something on the right of that stand."
He'd gesture to the location in question even going as far to standing up to come over to it. He saw no real reason he had to be behind the counter anymore. It was apparent just how tall he was when he was closer to ayumi. Though he didn't impose himself and kept a respectful arms length away from them.
"Well for casings specifically, I'd recommend one of these three."
He'd gently gesture to one large plastic casing, a rubber casing and a metal casing. They went largest to smallest and went from least expensive to most expensive. Though he seemed a little partial when it came to the rubber casing itself.
There was a moment where silvermon caught the attention of the other digimon. He'd pause and stare at the other digimon, when the head dipped in a nod and the eye contact was met he'd return it before fully coming into view. The digimon in question was easily towered over the shopkeep. He easily matched the height of the shop keep and seemed just as friendly if not more. He'd give the two a small smile and gesture towards kan who looked somewhat surprised.
"I suppose you can drop the charade then friend, You'll find no enemies here."

Yukiko was enthusiastically following Kan's display of cases, until suddenly the dog stepped closer. It wasn't a dog at all, it was a Digimon! Ayumi stumbled back a bit in surprise, but she did not seem frightened at all. "Foresooth! A Digimon! You are a tamer, as well! How small the world turned out to be!" The cat nodded, and then spoke. "Indeed, it is as I had figured. You and I are both from the same world." His voice was high pitched and monotone, as if computer generated by a Speak And Spell. Then, he dropped his Hologuise, and revealed his true self: A Dorimon! With startling blue eyes! It bowed to Kan and the lupine Digimon. "I am pleased to make your acquaintance. My name, as you know, is Solomon. And this is my dear Tamer, Ayumi."

Kan blinked a bit and looked from Ayumi to silvermon before sighing softly. Why was it everyone that was interested in his wares aware of the digital world? he didn't mind it so much but it was starting to get a little worrying to him. Perhaps he should just open up in the digital world and make a living from things there?
"Not a tamer, I'm a spirit wielder. He's my spirit. A tamer huh? Explains your cat..."
The shopkeep turned his attention to the cat, his brows raising a little bit before returning the bow without a moment's hesitation. The shop keep shifted and leaned over the counter hitting a button that immediately darkened the windows to the outside. It'd be next to impossible for people to look in but thankfully they still could look out. He wasn't going to take the chance for people to come in and see this so the sign immediately turned from 'open' to 'closed' better yet to protect the secret he was certain would be a problem otherwise.
"From different times most certainly, but it's a pleasure to meet you Solomon and Ayumi. This is Kan my Spirit wielder. My name is Silvermon."
The spirit would smile and return the bow before gently phasing through the physical counter top. His form distorted for a moment as he did so before he'd gingerly lean and look somewhat pleased.
"It's been a good amount of time since we've met such cheerful companions. I imagine that those scanners you were talking about earlier were for the digital world?"
Kan turned a little bit and offer a hand for a handshake to Ayumi. While he was a little surprised to say the least he wasn't going to be nasty about it. After all he had been meeting tons of people lately that were very friendly and loved the digital world. Perhaps they were rubbing off on him?
"My full name is Uric Kan, but everyone just calls me Kan. I have a lot of things that would be good for the digital world in the back room. They're the standard fare you'd expect but most of them work very well with other tech you'd get from elsewhere or buy here."

Ayumi was most delighted. What a stroke of luck, another person in the Know about the Digital World! "Ah, Hello Mr. Silvermon! It's nice to meet you!" She then put a hand to her forehead and struck a pose, beaming with pride. "I have, indeed, created many a gadget designed to research the Digital World! As the official Head of Research at the Digital Field Club I am responsible to research out findings and to cook up the gadgets we need for research!" She stood back up normally. "I would love to see what -you- have made! We could compare our gadgets!"
Solomon watched the store darken. With this extra bit of privacy he could shed his smaller form. It always made him feel a bit insecure. He hopped off the counter, glowed and stretched, and digivolved back to Monodramon. "Ah, it is an honour to meet you, Mr. Kan and Mr. Silvermon." He bowed. "I must say, I have never heard of Spirit Users before. Do they function differently?"

Silvermon gave a small smile and then blinked a few times when the other spoke about some Digital field club. He hadn't heard of it before and glanced at kan whom returned the glance with a small shrug. He hadn't heard of it either and shifted to walk over to the backroom entry. There was a quick dialing of buttons on the electric lock followed by a buzz as the lock opened before the shopkeep opened the door rather cheerfully.
"Digital Field club huh? Something neither of us have heard about, is it new?"
"It would be nice to compare gadgets, there's quite a few things I can offer for someone that's digitally aware. It's the first time I've met another tinkerer..."
There was a somewhat wistful sigh and the spirit user seemed somewhat glum about that particular lack of individuals with the desire to make gadgets or such. Silvermon shifted and raised his brows watching Solomon with keen interest; he was content to stay out in the front for the most part, more than willing to chat with solomon as the tamer and spirit user went about their business.
"A spirit user turns into their spirit totem, for example during combat scenario's Kan is replaced by my body and I have a physical form that's capable of interacting with physical realm stuff. As I am I can maybe manage reading a newspaper if I try really hard"
"We could show you sometime if you want, but for now equipment and comparisons."
The shopkeep chuckled and gave Solomon a small nod at his 'greeting'. He wasn't sure how he felt about being called Mr. of all things. But it was somewhat proper considering kan was his last name and not his first...
