(Continuation of Crossing the Divide Pt. 1.)
The 'depths' of the trench of trash that was what people called the Shibuya river was absolutely horrid, but as our heros the group of four seemed to be a lost cause, the sudden whoosh of water would come over them. Cole didn't expect it, and upon frantically looking around after 'hitting the water'...everything was different...there was no trash, there was just clean water and a riverbed. Cole couldn't believe his eyes, was this even real...? One moment they are falling into a trench of trash, now almost as if reflected, they now was at the bottom of a crystal clear river. Cole probably would've stayed there in a daze and drowned if something didn't catch his eye. Floating beside him was Cas and the bag she had Cloak and Dagger in. He quickly kicked into action, Cas would feel Cole's arm curled around her stomach, making sure she still had a hold of the bag as he'd swim upwards, a shine of the surface visible above.
Disturbing peaceful clean waters the group would surface, Cole loudly drawing a breath of fresh air he was starting to fear he'd never have again as his head popped over the surface. He still had ahold of Cas and regardless of if she helped or not he'd get them over to the shoreline, the rather muscular man able to rather easily help the small female up onto the shore as he just hung on the edge, catching his breathe. Between breathes he'd finally speak. "Cas....are you...ok? What about...Cloak and Dagger...?" the winded man said as he slowly pulled himself up onto the shore and laid on his back, coughing a few times.
He'd finally sit up after a moment and look around...this...was not Shibuya. This place seemed...foreign...even to an American living in Japan this place was different, lush greens and plant life, a temperate forest lined either side of the river. "...Where the hell are we." he'd say with extreme question and concern as his eyes tried to take in the area...

Cas surfaced alongside Cole with a wracking cough as she spat the water out of her legs and fumbled while trying to tread water to get the top of her bag open. Ripping the straps free she pulled the leather flap loose as Cloak and Dagger stuck their heads out coughing just as hard as their chosen as Cas let Cole guide her to the sore. Flopping against the rocky sandy beach the woman would roll onto her side and drag the two tiny digimon from the pack as she checked them over.
"We're *cough* fine!" Cloak joked out though Dagger was being a bit more dramatic as she spat up water on the shore and curled the unbladed part of his body against Cas. Cloak quickly following, his fur soaking wet as he pressed against the woman's side.
"Lets...lets never do that again." Cas panted out closing her eyes and taking in the feel of the sun on her face. At Cole's comment though she'd crack open an eyelid only to scowl.
"I think..." She began eyeing their surroundings from beneath her lashes. "That we might have accidentally discovered a portal to the digital world."

Cole would still be breathing slightly heavy, maybe more out of adrenaline now rather then being winded from the short swim. He'd push himself up off the ground and stand upright, looking around. His shirt he had over his shoulder this whole time was gone...oh well, had blood stains anyways, but now even his undershirt was wasted, cut up from falling through the trash, dirty as well--then soaked to the core from the river...to be fair--at least the river was cleaner then the trash. Silver linings, right? Cole took a breath and let out a deep sigh, stepping over to Cas and offering her his hand to help her stand up.
"...I have no clue so I'm not gonna argue with you if that's where you think we are." he'd say as he offered her his hand. His eyes averted to the two Digimon. "Is this...'home' for you two?" he'd ask, figuring even if they was a bit out of touch with everything seeing as what the twins had gone through, they should probably be able to tell if this was the Digital World or not. But before they could even have a chance to answer Cole's D3 begun beeping, prompting him to fish it out of his soaked jeans pocket. He looked at it, holding it so she could see it to if she stood up when he offered to help her up.
The map was different, now showing the river and a bit of the forest...The red dot was back, but unlike last time, this time it moved...and was coming straight towards them. Cole looked up in the direction it was to come from--seeing just a line of trees...but as moments passed, slowly the sound of something coming would cross their ears...the sounds of crashing through the trees, growing louder and louder. "Ahh...Cas...." Cole said in worry and warning. The trees made it impossible to see what was coming, but it was clearly getting close and was big...

Cas took his offered hand before working to fish her jacket off intent on laying it out to dry so the leather wouldn't be ruined only to groan as she caught sight of the map. Ducking down she grabbed her pack throwing it over her shoulders once more as she scooped up the twin digimon's in her arms.
"It doesn't smell like the human world so maybe?" Dagger muttered, but for once quickly snapped his mouth shut as Cas cast her gaze around for somewhere for them to hide.
"Come on let's head for the tree line down river and take cover." She whispered nudging Cole with her hips as she darted for the bushes not wanting to get caught out in the open with the two tiny creatures and her companion while soaking wet and unarmed. Diving for the leafy foliage she quickly ducked into the shadows hopefully with Cole close on her heels. If the noise was a threat they'd find out soon. If not perhaps it was what Cole was looking for.

Cole would feel her nudge him and nod, following the woman to take over. As they did Cole would position himself between the possible oncoming threat and the three others with him, making sure to keep them all hidden within the lush bushes that lined the treeline. Cole peeked out, eyes narrowed. The sound was crashing loudly and closed in fast--and finally Cole could spot something in the treeline. It was down the river about 100 feet, on the opposite bank. A shadowed figure skillfully ducked and dodged through the dense trees, quickly moving in and out between the trees as it sprinting--finally exiting the Treeline the shadowed figure went right off the shore and straight into the water with a splash. This clearly was not what made the noise, no...something else came behind it.
Literally pushing through the trees was something else, unlike the nimble one that this seems to be chasing, this thing just shoved aside and crashed through every tree within its way. Finally it emerged from the treeline. Cole's eyes was wide as he seen a large T-Rex looking thing...but even worse, it was dark--markings all over its body, bared large claws that could easily turn a human into a shish kabob. Cole really wanted to say something but he didn't wanna attract its attention. Cole would sink back and turn to Cas, motioning for her to try to get even further back. He'd turn back to look and as he did the BlackGrowmon roared loudly at the shoreline of the river.
Shooting up suddenly from the water was the original shadowed figure--now clearly visible. It almost looked like a cross between a lizard and a 4 armed wolf, fur black with white stripes. The BlackGabumon had burst up from the water in front of the BlackGrowmon. Condensed in the mouth of the BlackGabumon--known as Tsukihikari--was a ball of blue fire, and just as the surprise burst from the river came, Tsuki released this Azure Fire attack right into the face of BlackGrowmon. But this was literally brushed off with a swipe of its massive paw, swatting the attack and Tsuki away in one move--sending the BlackGabumon crashing into the treeline across the river--the same side the group of four hid on.
"What...is...going on..." Cole questioned quietly, as to not draw any attention. As he asked this Tsuki was getting up from the ground after being slammed away, the BlackGabumon breathing heavily as she eye'd down her opponent...this BlackGrowmon had threatened getting near the Village of Beginnings, and Tsuki couldn't let it get any closer then it already had. Tsuki begun charging up another Azure Flame, but before she even could the BlackGrowmon upon the opposite riverbank would retort with a stream of black flames from its mouth, ('Black Exhaust Flame'--wikimon), firing across the River. Tsuki quickly jumped back into the water to protect herself from the flames. Cole watched this unfold before his eyes in a state of shock--but...something drew his attention. His Digivice...it was screaming, beeping like crazy.
He pulled it out to try to shut it up but it wouldn't, even started to glow like it had when it appeared. "Come on damnit shut up shut up shut up." he pleaded as he stuffed it into his shirt to muffle the sound and light, turning away from the battle and towards Cas. "We need to get out of here." he said to her sternly. But before they'd even have time to attempt this, Tsuki had popped back out the water only to be swatted again, this time sending the Rookie-level Digimon tumbling down the riverbank, landing right in front of their hiding spot...and with a thunderous leap the BlackGrowmon was now on this side of the river and approaching, each step rumbling the ground below them.

"Muffle that thing!" Cas hissed at him her eyes darting between the smaller digimon that lay prone in front of their hiding spot and the massive dinosaur currently coming right towards them. In her arms Cloak and Dagger shook their eyes wide in fear an surprise as she tried to back pedal through the bushes. She'd dart a little ways away from Cole pressing herself up against the back side of a few trees as she motioned for him to hurry and get his ass out of there. For all Dagger glared at the BlackGrowlman and she felt Cloak tense ready for a fight she highly doubted the tiny digimon could handle a monster like that. Nor did Cas really want them too. Not if she could avoid it.
"Come on!" She whispered at Cole urging him to run. To move. To do more then just sit there about to become dinosaur chow. She doubted she had the equipment to patch up him taking a railroad beam thick claw through his sternum if he did so.

Cole could feel Cas's presence disappear from behind him as she backpeddled, which was fine. His Digivice luckily had shut up and he pocketed it. He looked back at her, hearing the woman call for him to flee. He wanted to...but...his eyes looked back to Tsuki...she was only about 8 feet in front of their hiding spot....Cole looked back to Cas, then Tsuki--and his teeth gritted. He couldn't just leave the Digimon there...even without knowing a thing about it. He looked back at Cas one more time and quickly motioned for her to go. "Go, get you and the twins out of here now." He said, and before she could argue or try to get him to come--the man turned and stood up. In a full sprint he bolted out of cover, drawing the attention of BlackGrowmon who narrowed its eyes and let out a roar upon sight of the human man.
Cole had zero intentions to stick around though, plucking BlackGabumon from the ground--giving her a reassuring "I got you" as he did. The man picked up the child-sized Digimon and ran as fast as he could--which...with long legs like his was luckily rather fast--cutting through the brush and into the treeline, following the he could see Cas ahead of him taking. He'd be catching up and the sound of crashing trees behind them echoed through the forest. "Go go go go!!!" shouted Cole as he kept up a full sprint with the Digimon in his hands.
He made sure to stay between Cas and the pursuing Digimon, which despite its late start was catching quicker then he'd hoped. Suddenly they'd break out into a clearing, an open meadow lined with colorful--albeit strange--flowers. Cole kept running as Tsuki looked up to Cole, eyes full of question as to why the human even helped her. "W-why..?" "Don't talk we gotta get out of here" Cole quickly retorted as he grit his teeth, legs burning from the full blown sprint.
But...they was trapped. On the other side of this field was simply a sharp cliffside, too tall for them to scale quickly enough to get away, and as Cole seen this his eyes filled with fear. No where else to go, left--right, they was too far, they'd get cut off...and straight ahead was a dead end. He'd stop and turn around, seeing the BlackGrowlmon stomping across the field quickly at them, slowing once it knew its pray was cornered. Cole grit his teeth and backed up, putting Tsuki down and she ran up next to Cas, looking back as Cole would push his group of Cas--Cloak--Dagger--and Tsuki back with his arms spread, glaring at the BlackGrowmon, standing in front of them to try to be a last line of defense. Cas likely could feel the fact Cole while being brave was shaking, it could be felt through his arms as he pushed them back--keeping them behind him. "...Cas....I...I want you to make a break for it...I'm gonna draw its attention and you need to get out of here as fast as you can...okay...?" Cole said, voice shaky but oddly soft and content in tone.
"But....You'll die!" cried Tsuki as she huddled close to Cas behind Cole. Cole didn't respond, he was focused forward as the BlackGrowmon stepped closer and closer, each step rumbling the ground.

"Don't be a hero Cole. We'd never make it even with you distracting it." Cas snapped her eyes bright with apprehension as she glanced between the approaching digimon and the cliff face behind them trying to decide if it was far enough to climb without risking killing herself. If she slipped and landed on her legs she might just break one and still survive, but getting away then would be slim. There really wasn't much option.
"Our only choice is to fight." Cloak muttered grimly eyes narrowed fur bristling in anger and fear as he tried to puff himself up to look bigger.
"Yeah! Back off our human you ugly brute or you're going to regret it!" Dagger yelled brandishing his blades, the foam having fallen off in the rush as he attempted to appear threatening.
"He can't take us all out, but if we stay bunched up like this he just might." Cas quipped glancing left to right ready to bolt to the side if it looked like the monster as going to shoot more flame at them.

To say that others in the forest had noticed this fight would be putting it lightly. Those that made their homes in the areas had to leave quickly without grabbing the few things they considered their own and those that didn't own anything were quick to leave. The few birds that had roosted near a particular overgrown tree squawked loudly in surprise as they not only heard but felt the state of the forest deteriorating. Too many trees getting ripped up would upset quite a few individuals here as the trees were their home! One of the birds leaned out of the tree and called down to a stark white digimon meditating under it. She was quick to respond which made the bird blink. "Miss! Miss!""Hmm? Yes?""There's a commotion over there, You're strong right? You should go stop this rampage!""Rampage? Oh. That. A mere child's tantrum but I suppose I can't let it slide.""I think there's some humans over there, smells sort of wierd."The digimon furrowed it's brow and frowned before standing up brushing off her clothing and switching it's forearm blades forward. She didn't like getting into disputes in the middle of no where without some real reason but if humans were threatened she had to respond. Even if her true jurisdiction of AEGIS ended where the digital world started it wouldn't stop her from helping a group of them that was in dire need. "Any idea who it is?""What? Well uh.. I think it'd be that BlackGrowlmon from the other day.""Of course it is. Feh, he really needs to learn his place..."The stark white digimon stretched a bit before suddenly taking off from the ground her cloak billowing behind her. There was a moment where she had to re-orientate herself before moving towards the commotion. It was maybe a minute or two of flight time and she was greeted with quite an odd sight. One human seemed to be blocking the the BlackGrowlmon from another human and a few digimon. She'd rub her muzzle softly for a moment and shake her head. This wasn't right; people shouldn't have to deal with digimon like this. They deserved to have a safe encounter in the digital world. But alas, it was a dangerous place and there were digimon that cared very little for humans or their partners. She contimplated what to do for maybe a moment before simply shrugging, she'd position herself above and forward from the human in the front gauging the distance between the Blackgrowlmon for a moment before cutting her flight ability from her cloak for a moment. There was a brief pause before she started to fall and the digimon flipped itself over kicking at the air so that she would suddenly shift locations from up in the sky down to the ground. There was a moment where she figured she had over estimated her leg power and with a grunt she'd land explosively on the ground sending a thick cloud of dirt out from her arrival. She'd stand up slowly brushing off her fur for a moment, cloak billowing behind her either from the wind or her sheer desire for it to do so. Entry was an artform after all. She didn't give the BlackGrowlmon time to react to her arrival and immediately followed suit with a call out of her attack. She despised doing this sort of thing but she imagined that the humans behind her would appreciate the gesture. "Buster-beam!"The stark white digimon would gather energy into their gullet and after a moment would spit out a composite energy beam. It'd land fairly behind the BlackGrowlmon but the intent was clear, it wasn't aiming for them. It didn't need to as the degree of the explosion would likely cover into the BlackGrowlmon's position. There was a moment or two before the 'dirt cloud' subsided and left the digimon bare to the world. She'd drag a finger along one of her forearm blades and gaze back at the group. "I heard you might need a little bit of assistance." Battle log: Attack used: Buster beam: This digimon may shoot a beam from it's mouth, which upon contact of a solid surface explode, showering down several smaller beams in a small ring around it. The initial explosion is fifty feet in radius, while the smaller ones are ten feet in radius. This main explosion is much stronger than the smaller ones, while trivial to some can quickly add up if not careful. This move may be used every three posts Passives: Bound: Using it's powerful legs, this digimon may treat even air as solid ground. Allowing it to basically "fly". Crimson Mantle: Jesmon's signature cape; adjusted for size for each Digivolution. This cape has a few soft abilities each that scales with the level given. It may provide flight [if the wearer already can fly their movement is increased by one step] and it can block a single attack relevant to the power of the level of the host digimon before implementing a cool down of two posts for the block itself. This mantle may be passed to others but it's effectiveness for others is generally halved. Cool downs: Buster beam - [0/3] ??? - A strange digimon has appeared!

Cole heard arguments from everyone involved at this point. He didn't wanna 'Be a hero' here, he didn't want to die. Especially not in who the hell knows where. The man grit his teeth as the BlackGrowmon would take a step closer...at this point it was toying with them--it didn't attack--simply let them suffer under the fear of attack. Was sadistic crap was that? Cole's eyes narrowed in anger but before another action could happen--another would enter the fold.
Cole had been way to focused on BlackGrowmon to even notice another coming from overhead. In a blast of dust a figure would land in front of him--between Cole and the BlackGrowmon. Cole shielded his eyes from the dirt as it flew around in all directions. He couldn't even get a full fix on the figure and the echo of her voice burned his ears. An attack call out? Was she attacking them too? Cole's answer came soon enough when it was obvious the attack was aimed for--or rather behind--BlackGrowmon.
The BlackGrowmon had also been caught off guard, and upon seeing K it'd glare daggers at the Shutmon. Before it could react the explosion would take place behind it, catching the Digimon in the blast radius. As the dust settled it was clear the large digimon survived the blast, but was a lot worse for ware after the attack. Weighing its options the BlackGrowmon decided its fun was over and turned tail, taking off running in the direction it came..but would K let it go or chase it?
Cole stared as this unfolded, his arms dropping back to his sides slowly as he did, no longer trying to keep the others behind him anymore. Cole watched the Ultimate Level Digimon make short work of scaring off the Champion Level aggressor. His ears burned with her words...she was here to help! Cole relaxed a little, if only slightly.
Tsukihikari on the other hand would also relax upon seeing K, even if she didn't know her it made her at ease knowing she was here to help. Upon that momentt Tsukihikari would loose what power to stand she had in her after the beating she'd taken early, the BlackGabumon slumping over onto the ground and shutting her eyes. This caught Cole's attention and he turned around, knelling next to Tsuki. "Hey. Hey. I just risked my skin to save you, you can't go and die on me now. Whats your name?" he said, trying to keep Tsuki talking. "...Tsu...Tsukihikari." said the tired Rookie tier, eyes opening slightly.

Cas would stiffen at the appearance of this new digimon. Fearing the worst she half turned trying to shield the twins with her body as she grit her teeth for the possible attacks that might come and they certainly did. Only it wasn't against them, but the BlackGrowlmon as the Dino finally turned tail and ran leaving Cas sighing in relief. The feeling though would be short lived as the BlackGabumon dropped prompting Cas to set Cloak and Dagger lightly on the ground as she knelt to inspect the digimon.
"Help prop her up will you Cole I need to asses her." The Doctor spoke her tone no nonsense as she nodded to the digimon looking her over for any visible wounds before reaching out to feel for any breaks along her arms and body.
"You got tossed around pretty hard back there." She murmured as Cloak and Dagger crowded about Cas's knees where she'd knelt alternating between watching her and eyeing K warily.

Perhaps it was how she had come down from the sky or perhaps it was the fact that she followed it immediately with one of her stronger techniques. She'd shake her head a little bit as the BlackGrowlmon considered it's choices before her attack landed. When it weathered the powerful ability she watched the dragon digimon run off snorting in derision.
"Bloody coward."
The shutmon turned towards the group noting that the human that had been in the lead of the group seemed somewhat on guard still. Perhaps it was because of her sudden apperance or perhaps it was with the ease that she brushed the champion away.
When the BlackGabumon collasped however she stiffened a little bit and would slowly approach the group standing a good distance away still as she hadn't really earned the right to be close to them past the little bit of assistance she had just given them. She knew the boundaries of humans quite well and while they would be grateful for this sort of thing they wouldn't trust her immediately.
However with one of them being injured she couldn't just sit idly by. She wasn't exactly the sort to do that anyways when someone was in need. There was a small exhalation and the shutmon took a seat where she was. She wasn't going to encroach on them but she did want to know if her services were required.
"How bad are they?"

Cole just did as Cas asked and helped prop up Tsukihikari, gently doing so. Tsuki grunted a little, if she was to be looked over she had a number of scrapes from sliding across the ground, and likely some bruising across the whole of her back from the initial slam that landed her against a tree. Lucky part about the 2nd hit was she skid, it wasn't as hard of an impact and only left the scrapes. She wasn't good, but she wasn't in too bad of shape either. Tsuki shut her eyes. "I'm sorry...I shouldn't have gotten anyone else dragged into this..." she said quietly, but still loud enough even K sitting a bit away could hear. "That BlackGrowmon has been getting dangerously close to the Village of Beginning and I was trying to lead it away...but it was more determined then I thought he'd be." she explained as her bright blue hues opened back up, looking up to the humans surrounding her. "I'm sorry."
"Its fine Tsukihikari--my dumb ass is the one who jumped out and grabbed you. Its my fault we got involved, not yours. Now let Cas take care of you..." Cole would said, admitting his fault in this ordeal. The young man sighed softly. It was always hard to admit when you was wrong, but was he all that wrong--it did save her after all. Cole's eyes would shift over to the Digimon sitting near them...she was clearly respecting boundaries--much nicer then the other Digimon they encountered. "...Thank you for intervening when you did...I'm Cole..." he said, greeting their 'Hero' in this situation, K.

Cas kept her eyes solidly on the BlackGabumon as she inspected her injuries trusting Cloak and Dagger to alert her of the new digimon drew too close for either of their liking. Yet looking over the damage done to the digimon she couldn't help clicking her tongue lightly in concern only to find herself surprised by the newcomers question. Turning her head light she gave K a nod of acknowledgement before speaking.
"She's likely going to be very sore for a few day, but nothing broken. Plenty of scrapes and bruises though, but nothing some disinfectant and rest won't fix." Cas spoke assuring not only K, but Cole and the BlackGabumon as well.
"I need to check for potential head trauma though. She was tossed around a great deal." She explains clicking on her penlight as she motions for the digimon to follow it with her eyes checking to see if they contract or not and frowning when they fail to do so to her liking.
"Looks like a mild concussion. Though that's to be expected given it was using her like a kickball." The Doctor adds turning off the penlight as the little in-training digimon about her feet let out mixed noises of derision.
"Nothing, but a bully." Dagger spits out in anger in regards to the BlackGrowlmon.

The shutmon sat there quietly watching the interaction between the humans and their digimon. Her ears flicked however when the BlackGabumon spoke and she'd frown slightly as the reasoning for their interactions with that BlackGrowlmon were made clear. She'd exhale slowly and shake her head; even if you had a group you had to be careful dealing with a digimon one tier higher than yourself. To be fair it sounded like she had done a fine job considering how far that they had lead it away? The village of Beginning's wasn't exactly the closest to where they were at... or was it? She couldn't really remember as she had only been there the once.
The shutmon dipped it's head in a small nod; switching her forearm blades to their 'sheathed' position as cole addressed her. Thanking her for intervening and even going so far to introduce himself. The shutmon would give a small smile to cole before returning the favor.
"Of course, I can hardly stand by and watch something like that occur without acting. My name is K."
Her head turned to look at the other human as they looked over the BlackGabumon; she'd tut softly at the diagnosis that the other human gave the group. She'd rub her muzzle thoughtfully and consider briefly if she should offer to heal them or not. At the mention of the BlackGabumon being mildly concussed the Shutmon winced a little bit. Even if it wasn't the worst of the injuries you could get; it certainly was dangerous if you didn't have the option of resting well. The mention of the BlackGrowlmon being a bully made the Shutmon pause but she'd shift a little bit before addressing the group as a whole.
"I could feasibly tend to their wounds as well as taking care of that particular BlackGrowlmon but the latter would only bear a grudge in a later life I imagine. But as is he's fairly dangerous. What would you suggest becomes of him?"
