Night had fallen only a short time ago, deciding it best to take time to rest--two travelers would set up their makeshift camp at the edge of the Server Woods and bordering The Tyrants Labyrinth. There was a small clearing in the woods, just off a walking path running through both wooded areas--in this clearing one would see the flickering orange and yellow glow cast by a fire. In a makeshift fire pit there went a small blaze, casting light among the darkness that surrounded them. Sitting about this fire was two individuals, Cole and Tsuki, both relaxing and resting aching feet. They had been walking all day--the BlackGabumon sat on the ground next to the fire, rubbing her foot as she warmed it up near the blaze--Cole was sat more back, out of the heat of the fire but still basked in its glow. The young man let his hair fall a bit into his face--the longer brown locks framing his young face as he sat, leaned back against a tree, and upon his lap--an Acoustic Guitar. He hadn't played it since he found out about the Digital world...randomly grabbing it on a whim last time he was home. He didn't know why, considering it was somewhat bulky to bring with him--and made stealth basically not an option as the wrong movement could make it make noise...but he needed something to ground him, and the gift from his sister years ago was a good start. Tsuki looked over at Cole, a small frown crossing her face. "...Come on dear--you been hauling that thing around all day...go ahead and play it. I wanna hear..." she'd encourage the man. He'd glance over to her, jaded jade hues that looked like he barely slept in a week meeting the BlackGabumon's bright azure orbs. "Fine..."He'd sigh after responding to Tsuki and pluck the guitar pick from the neck of the instrument--it trapped between the strings. He'd take a minute to make sure it was in tune, going through the motions and annoyances every guitarist feels when they gotta tune their axe. Finally with two successful sounding chords he knew he had it right--or close enough at least, finishing off his prep work by sticking a capo on the 2nd fret, just raising its natural tune a step higher. He paused a moment...he felt a rush of uneasy feeling wash over him--but pushed it aside--the man's eyes gaining a hint of focus as he sat up properly against the tree. He'd take a breath, and with his fingers tap off three times on the guitar in rhythm, on cue for the fourth he'd begin playing. It started with a soft intro, and as the time came--the man begun singing along with the music. Tsuki's ears perked up as she watched her friend, listening to the song he begun playing and seeing. As the song went on--it got louder, he poured more of himself into the performance--shutting out the world around him completely as he played the song...as if he sat on stage in an empty theater. His voice and melody carried throughout the forest for a good while, easy to be heard. Tsuki had first smiled when he begun playing, but slowly she could feel emotion wash over her...she could find the meaning behind the lyrics relative to Cole's situation...slowly she got a more somber expression on her face as the emotions the man had pent up all week seemed to pour into the air around them...Cole was emotional sure--but he kept them pent up for the most part, he never would open up to anyone--not her, not Cas, no one. Not much anyways...but when he played, his music, his voice--it told the whole story...if you could read it. ((Song he's playing and singing is Sunrise by Our Last Night, click for a listen.))

Having stumbled upon more adventures in the Server Woods than she bargained for, Ravenna is looking forward to getting back home. In spite of how difficult the journey has been, she feels that the strength gained along the way had made it worthwhile. It was getting too late to travel, and Ravenna needed to come up with a plan of where to stay for the night. As devoted as she is as an athlete, Ravenna is really not the outdoorsy type.
Ravenna has been wearing the same outfit for many days now. She can't remember ever letting her clothes get this dirty before. The thought of taking a nice hot bath is what keeps her going. She is wearing a black tank top, white sports jacket, black shorts and long black and white socks. Her dark hair hasn't so much as seen a hairbrush since she left for the Digital World, and she's feeling very self conscious about her looks right now.
As the young Spirit User walks through the forest, searching for suitable shelter, she hears, music? Who could be playing a guitar out in the forest? Naturally, Ravenna travels towards the music, anticipating who could be out here this late. She comes across two figures sitting around a campfire, a young man with a guitar singing, and a BlackGabumon.
(Thinking) "Hmm, a guy? Great, I finally meet someone, and I look like a mess."
Ravenna approaches the duo, slowly walking forward holding her hands together in front of her waist. She doesn't know how to alert them to her presence without interrupting his song. She waits for a moment, before walking closer and making enough noise with her steps to be heard approaching. After the man is done playing, Ravenna smiles and bows politely to the musician and BlackGabumon.
"Hey there. I like your playing. Your voice is so soothing. My name is Ravenna. What are you doing out here?"

Tsuki's ears was carefully listening to the music as Cole played and sung--even finding herself swaying to the melody as she sat, but something else would catch her ear. Cole was lost in his own world, to him no one else existed right now as he kept playing, but Tsuki would turn to look over her shoulder, head tilting as bright blue hues blinked. She seen a girl approaching their little camp--a human girl. Tsuki was about to pass out for the amount of humans she'd met in the past week, this easily put the number at 5 or more--despite the fact she'd only seen one in her life before now. Oh what wonders came with traveling.
Either way the Digimon's ears dropped, first unsure of the human, but as she examined the girl--she seemed as if she had no ill intentions...it seems she just wanted to listen to Cole play. Tsuki kept an eye on the girl for the most part, but would just turn back to listen to Cole as he finished the song. Finally finishing the song the man would open his eyes and look up, the jaded emerald hues widening a bit then narrowing at the sight of someone else here...but Tsuki gave him a look that told the man nothing seemed to off. She'd speak up, complimenting the man...Cole was sort of conflicted in this moment, on one hand...this girl was the first to compliment his music in many years--frankly since Scarlet was around. On the other hand she had just approached them, and seemed quick to ask questions. This caused a pause between her speaking, and Cole's response, voice a hint cold. "Thanks..I guess..." the man said, his green hues peering off to the side.
Tsuki sighed in frustration with Cole--she thought greatly of the man but he could work on his people skills. For a man with a silver tongue he sure disliked showing it. She'd stand and face Ravenna, the BlackGabumon giving her a friendly smile and bowing to the girl. "Please excuse him, he doesn't mean to sound so rude. Its nice to meet to Ravenna--thats a rather lovely name dear. I'm Tsukihikari--but you can call me Tsuki." the Digimon would say cheerfully to the girl. Cole's eyes narrowed at Tsuki asking Ravenna to 'excuse him', but simply let it go--the man pushing himself up from the tree and setting the guitar against it, the man turning to face away from them, crossing his arms as he leaned against the tree standing now. Tsuki shook her head at her partners antisocial and stoic antics.
"Anyways...we're just resting, we've been traveling all day looking for someon--"--she was cut off by Cole--"--Why are you telling her that, she's a stranger...what if she's just some illusion caused by a Digimon...You just come up to us out of the dark and expect us to trust you?" the man said, accusing the young female. Tsuki had a rare moment of annoyance, eyes narrowing to glare at Cole--but quickly she sighed and her gaze softened. Tsuki looked to Ravenna again. "Just ignore him--he's just in a mood dear. I can smell you...whats within you...and I trust the judgement of a spirit, so I trust you dear." Tsuki said kindly to her, hinting at the Spirit within Ravenna...Tsuki's nose was sharp, not much got past it.

To Ravenna's surprise, Cole's reaction to her was indifferent at best. BlackGabumon is much more inviting, making excuses for her Tamer. The Rookie introduces herself as Tsukihikari, or just Tsuki. Ravenna watches as the man sets his guitar down and leans against the tree.
"Tsuki-ha-ki... pleased to meet you, Tsuki. I didn't mean to intrude, I was just surprised to come across someone out here."
Cole continued to give Ravenna a hard time, suggesting that she could be an illusion, and questioning whether or not she could be trusted. Sure, she had intruded, but did she deserve this kind of a reaction?
"An illusion?! Look here, you may sound good when you're singing, but now all I hear is a bad attitude. It's not like you own the forest. Maybe you wanna rethink your tone before I really get agitated and do something I regret."
Ravenna's rage had gone from zero to eighty after that introduction. The voice of the Psychic Human Spirit speaks up in Ravenna's head.
"Ravenna, what are you doing? Calm down, control your emotions, child."
The young track athlete isn't in the mood for a lecture. This meanie had started this. All she did was walk up and compliment him. Ravenna stands with her hands on her hips, and turns her nose up at Cole, before addressing Tsuki.
"It was nice meeting you, Tsuki, but I can tell when I'm not wanted. I'll go find someone else playing music in the middle of this stupid forest. All these trees, and not one salon, sauna, or anywhere relaxing. If all Humans acted like this, I would just stay in the Digital World, even if it meant giving up bubble baths!"
Oh boy. Ravenna had caught Cole in a bad mood, and now she was flipping out. Would calmer heads prevail, or was a fight about to break out? Ravenna has gone entirely too long without washing her hair, or even clipping her fingernails. At this point, she was fed up, and regardless of whether or not Cole's behavior warranted her wrath, the flood gates had opened, and Ravenna was going to dish it out if he's going to talk to her like that.

It wouldn't be a surprise what Cole's attitude brought--this woman really had not deserved the man's harsh treatment and she was quick to snap back at Cole. But through all her words, the man simply remained still while leaned against the tree--arms crossed--jaded hues staring down the younger female. Tsuki frowned, seeing the two butt heads...it gave her flashbacks of the near fight the other day with Cole and another Spirit user. Tsuki wouldn't let that happen again, no--no more fighting. She would step between the two and look to Ravenna--about to speak when she was caught off guard by Cole's voice.
Cole had shut his eyes by the end of Ravenna's rant, and a sigh passed his lips. He spoke up--just in time to cut off Tsuki. "Look...you're right." the man admitted, eye opening to glance back over to her. He'd push himself from leaning against the tree, the 6'2" man standing upright and properly facing Ravenna. "All you did was compliment my music and I reacted like a jerk. Ravenna was it...? For what its worth, I'm sorry..." he'd say, apologizing. The man may had been rude, but he was brutally honest, even if at his own expense at times. This made Tsuki look back at Cole, surprised he apologized...but good thing, he needed to after that one. Tsuki looked back to Ravenna, the Rookie-level Digimon approaching the girl and offering her paw to Ravenna. "Stay and rest dear...I promise his bark is worse then his bite." she'd suggest to her, paw offered.
Cole watched as his partner would offer for her to stay and rest with them, not protesting despite his previous words making one think he would. His arms would unfold and hands slide into his jean pockets as he glanced off to the side, eyes averted from the two females--Human n' Digimon alike. Part of him wanted to just tell her why he's acting as he was, the other part of him believed it was none of her business--stuff like this is what made Cole such a conflicted soul. A duality between emotion and morals. He grit his teeth lightly before speaking once more. "I didn't mean to snap at you...just....its the first time someone else listened to my music and complimented it in...in a long time...." he'd say--this was only part of the whole truth though...the last person to compliment the man's music was his older sister, a source of a lot of pain in the man's life both past and of recent. Frustrated with himself the man would turn away from them, keeping his shoulder towards the two as he looked off to nothing.

After Ravenna had finished with her tirade, Cole's tune had changed. He pushes off of the tree and looks at Ravenna. In spite of the height difference, Ravenna wasn't going to let herself look intimidated. She knew that she could Spirit Evolve if things for some reason got violent. Shockingly, Cole apologizes for the way he reacted to her. This caught Ravenna off guard, and she didn't know what to think. Her rage was replaced by regret for having blown her short fuse.
"Oh? Ah, yes, thank you. I'm sorry for losing my temper."
Tsuki the BlackGabumon invites Ravenna to stay and rest, assuring her that Cole wasn't bad company. Ravenna looks nervous. She lowers her hands down and rubs her left wrist. She tilts her head downward, biting the inside of her lower lip.
"Yes, I think I will stay. I mean, if that's alright. It's too late for me to travel."
Cole appears to be suffering on the inside. He turns away from Ravenna and Tsuki, then goes on to explain that Raye was the first person to compliment his music in a long time. If Ravenna understood the full story, she would understand why Cole would react the way he did, and feel bad for him. Ravenna didn't know how to make things right. She has struggled controlling her emotions before, but even though she's aware of that, she still flips out when she's upset. Ravenna takes a seat facing the fire, tucking her knees close to her chest. The light from the fire makes her legs glow, and her socks look almost orange and black. She tries to hide her guilt, but she can't help but show her sorrow with the look in her eyes.
"No offense, Tsuki, but sometimes, this whole Digimon thing feels really strange. I'm a Spirit User, so I don't really have a partner to help me along the way. Just some bossy Spirits lecturing me all the time."
The Psychic Spirit in Ravenna's D-Tector remains silent, irked by Ravenna's words. Ravenna stares into the fire, reflecting back at her first trip to the Digital World. If she doesn't get back soon, she's going to start missing practice.
"Another thing about being a Spirit User or Tamer, it takes up a lot of time, you know? I have other responsibilities."

Luckily the situation seemed to deescalate as quickly as it had escalated. There would still be lingering tension, but for now it was to be put to rest--the girl apologizing back to Cole for also loosing her cool. That should've made it even but Cole still felt a bit guilty...But he tried to swallow the guilt and push it aside for now...Him remaining at distance. Tsuki was both happy to hear Ravenna would stay, but concerned with the woman's body language. Tsuki looked a lot into such things--noticing the change of look, the biting of her inner lip, the movement to rub her left wrist. She'd offer a comforting smile. "Its fine, even a grump like him couldn't just let a girl be left alone out here--even if you can handle yourself." Tsuki would reassure the young woman.
She'd come back over to the fire and sit down as Ravenna joined them, glancing between the two a moment. Ok--come on. Both of them showed different yet similar body language--Cole distanced himself, kept a shoulder to them, pushing away from the situation with an underlining guilt causing it, and Ravenna while not at distant sat in a very defensive position, eyes looking into the fire and wearing her emotions on her sleeve. This caused the BlackGabumon to slightly frown, but be surprised as Ravenna would sort of open up to Tsuki about her issues dealing with being a Spirit user.
This would burn Cole's ears, the man slightly turning to keep an eye on the conversation, jade hues to the corner of his eyes to look over at Ravenna--likely hidden by his hair framing his face. Both Cole and Tsuki would listen to the girl speak, surprised she was rather open about it. 'Spirit user?...Cas mentioned them but I have no idea what one is...' crossed Cole's mind. Tsuki would frown upon listening to what Ravenna had to say. "Bossy Spirit? I've not heard of one like that...typically they either are stoic and don't speak to the user--or if they do they tend to have a good nature...Have you tried to just talk it out and come to an understanding? Cause if you have that Spirit--you was meant too...Just like a...'Tamer' as you called it, a Digimon and their partner was meant to be...I don't think we agree with that term, me and Cole are equals--there is no taming here...I mean I keep him in check sometimes." Tsuki would suggest, and explain a small bit--ending with a small joke to try to lighten the mood.
Likely to both girl's surprise Cole would step up, standing on the opposite side of the fire as them--face lit by the blaze and defined by shadows of his hair and features, jaded but overall neutral eyes glancing down to the sitting Ravenna. "...Can I ask you something. If you feel it takes so much time, and you have other responsibilities...why are you here. I'm not trying to sound rude--I just want to know...what draws you here...do you have a real reason to be here?" he'd ask, voice stern and not sugarcoated, but also lacking the rude tone he held before--hands slipped in his pockets as he stood over the fire. "I want to be clear...By reason I mean a real reason...not some urge or curiosity, not some sense of adventure. You look young...and if your outfit is anything to go off of, I'd bet you're just High Schooler or maybe in your first year of Collage...Unless you have something important to find here...I don't see why." Col would continue, sighing afterwords as his eyes shifted to the side--the fire giving his bright jade hues an interesting shade.
Tsuki was looking over to Cole once he approached and begun speaking, the Digimon lowering her head to look down as Cole spoke. He may sound a bit harsh, but she knew what he was getting at was the fact the Digital World is dangerous, no place for a human--Spirit user or not--to be without valid reason. She'd look up, a determined look in her eyes. "Cole dear I'm sorry but I'm telling her. I know how you feel but the more allies we have the more the possibility we can do something about it..." she'd start, gaining a quick glare from Cole but it simply dropped back to looking off to the side, head even turning now to make sure he was looking away from the group now. Tsuki sighed and turned to Ravenna, moving to sit down next to her and speak a bit quieter between them.
"I know Cole sounds harsh but I'll explain...he...he has an older sister, Scarlet, almost 10 years ago she disappeared without a trace...his family mourned the loss...but a few days ago he found out she is still alive--that she's been here...trapped in the Digital World...and its kinda my fault he knows. I met her a couple times and let it slip to Cole, not knowing the whole story. Last I seen her she was alone, distant, didn't have her partner with her...she's wandering alone with no one else in the Digital World and you know the dangers it holds. Cole is here cause he wants to find her and bring her home...make sure his sister is safe." she'd tell her quietly, trying to keep Cole from hearing much to try to keep him from getting upset. Still--little late. Cole was gritting his teeth, but remaining silent. "I'm sure you can understand how he feels seeing a lovely girl like yourself wandering out here with dangers lurking about, seemingly alone...Right? He doesn't know what a Spirit user is yet, but still, its never good to be alone...especially if you deal with issues with your Spirit..." the wise BlackGabumon quietly spoke to the girl, resting a paw down onto Ravenna's hand to establish a bit of physical connection with her.

Feeling overwhelmed from her journey into the Digital World, getting worked up earlier and Tsuki's gentle nature was enough to get Ravenna to let her guard down and open up. Normally she would never talk about these things, let alone with someone she just met, but right now her emotions were strong, and she wanted to get some things off her chest. Cole turns his attention back towards Ravenna and Tsuki. While Cole didn't seem to know much about Spirit Tamers, Tsuki had some good insight. "It's weird, being a Spirit User. I don't fully understand it myself. Though I am glad that I can defend myself. The Psychic Human Spirit usually keeps to herself, but acts like a mentor. There's also Salem, the Digimon who gave me my D-Tector. He watched over me until I was able to start taking care of myself. He's a bit perplexing, but I liked having him around. Not sure what he's been up to since I came to the Digital World."
Tsuki spoke of the partnership between Tamer and Digimon, claiming that she didn't see Humans as taming Digimon. "I've met Tamers before. They have different styles, but usually it's a partnership of give and take. I'm sure some Digimon have a hard time adjusting to the Human World, just like I'm having trouble here. Tamer, it's just a word. I don't read too much into things like that. Just the way people and Digimon treat others."
Cole turns around and faces the fire, asking Ravenna for a reason to come to the Digital World. "A reason? Yes, I have other responsibilities, but I've been chosen for something special. Not everyone knows about Digimon. I am finishing up my first year of college. This shrine maiden I met is a Tamer, and she's been helping me along the way. She asked me to come to the forest and investigate for her. I'm the same way with track. I want to be reliable. When something needs to be done, you suck it up and do it. Digimon are a lot like people in a lot of ways, and if I can make a positive difference in their lives, then I'm going to step up to the plate and be the best Spirit User I can be. Why else would I give up the few luxuries I have back at my dorm room to come here?"
Tsukimon goes on to explain about Cole's sister. Ravenna is worried that this would upset him, but if he does mind, he seems to be hiding his feelings almost completely. Suddenly, music can be heard off in the distance. "What is that? Is that a violin?"
The music starts to get louder, as the musician gets closer. It's a sad song, bordering on downright depressing. A dark figure emerges from the shadows, with only the light of the campfire to cast some light. The man is wearing long dark robes, and a black wizard hat. He holds the violin close to his neck, strutting along with the rhythm of the music. Despite the gloomy nature of the song, the man sports a smile. The musician approaches the trio, stopping a few yards away. He stops playing the violin, and tips his hat towards the group. "Greetings, weary travelers. It brings me such joy to meet a fellow musician. I heard you playing from afar, and decided to investigate."

Cole and Tsuki both listened to the retort from Ravenna, to Cole he was only interested in hearing her 'Reason'. After she gave it, he was still feeling the exact same about it...She shouldn't be here. 'I've been chosen for something special.', 'This shrine maiden I met is a Tamer..--..She asked me to come to the forest and investigate for her.'...her words simply sounded like visions of heroic grandeur. Here simply because she had some power, thinking she can make a difference. Cole's eyes narrowed and he turned back to face Ravenna--he wanted to let loose a harsh line to express he felt her 'reasons' wasn't good enough, that she shouldn't get involved in something so dangerous unless she had too. But he didn't...the man stopped before even starting.
Thoughts of what Tsuki had told him a few days ago about what she has been doing for her entire life...protecting those she can just cause she had the power to try and its the right thing. He knew that Tsuki would feel Ravenna has the right to that, if she wanted to do that 'to do the right thing', then who was Cole to tell her that her resolve wasn't 'good enough'...his eyes shut and he let out a silent sigh.
But then his ears heard something--Tsuki's as well even a moment earlier, Tsuki's ears lifted and she turned to face the direction the sound was coming from and Cole's eyes shot back open, also in the same direction, his hands slipping out from his pockets and to his sides. Tsuki would stand up, facing the direction as Ravenna called out about the music they could hear--pinpointing the violin.
Cole's eyes narrowed in distrust of what was coming, another approach them...and at least they had no issue letting their presence be known, if there was at least one plus here. As the figure neared the group could make out the dark figure in the dim light cast by the fire--most details still lacked from the figure for all Cole could see, but it was enough to give bad vibes.... With a tip of his hat, the Wizard-like figure would speak. Cole's eyes narrowed more and he started to step towards them, since it seemed the figure came up from the direction behind Tsuki and Ravvenna. Col would stop now standing beside the two girls. "...Ahuh...look buddy we're just trying to rest out here--already had enough excitement for one night...That was a nice tune you played, but could you just leave us be? I know its not right to judge...but you give me a bad vibe..." Cole would speak to the Digimon, eyes focused on him. Tsuki stood beside Cole, silent, an unsure look upon her face as she tried to make out exactly who--or what--this figure was. Human? Or Digimon? Even the wise Tsuki was unsure...and the smell this figure gave off was no help either.

While Cole didn't specifically say if Ravenna's reasons would suffice, she wasn't getting her hopes up. What was it to him anyway? Just because he had a personal reason for being here didn't mean that other Tamers and the like couldn't explore. Ravenna hadn't really planned on becoming an adventurer when she started college. She just kind of stumbled into it.
Much like with Ravenna, Cole isn't ecstatic that somebody was crashing his campfire. Though his tone was different this time. The musician doesn't seem to be in the mood to take no for an answer, charmingly smiling at the trio.
"Ah, what ever happened to the more the merrier? I just came to say hello. Not a lot of Humans 'round these parts, no?"
Ravenna gives the mysterious stranger a look of confusion. Tsuki couldn't pick up on his scent as well with him it seems. Then again, the Spirit User was in desperate need of a bath.
"I'm just staying here for the night. If he wants you to leave, I won't second guess him."
For the first time tonight, the stranger stops smiling. He makes a very sad frown, almost bordering on condescending.
"Aww, it seems my years of practice have been for nothing, if I can't even make some new friends. I guess I'll just be getting back to my home. It's not far from here." "Wait, you live around here? Like, indoors?!" "That's right. I would invite you over, but I see you are busy. A private night under the stars? You don't need me around getting in the way of things. Be true to your feelings, long yovers, I mean, young lovers."
Ravenna's expression changes to that of embarrassed and surprised. She quickly jumps up, waving her hands around with her palms facing the stranger to signal that is not the case.
"Oh no, it's not like that at all! Honest. I was just passing by. Tell him, Cole." "Ooh, hoo hoo hoo, there's no reason to be embarrassed. Love should be shared with the world! It's love that unites us, and conquers all. Deep down, aren't we all looking for somebody to love?"
"Stop quoting songs." "Wait, wait! One more. What's love got to do with it? Okay, I've had my fun." "That one didn't make sense, given the context." "Mmm, looks like you got a real firecracker on your hands there, Cole, was it?"

The man's bright jade hues stayed focused on the stranger, as well as the big blue orbs of Tsuki, still very unsure of what she thought of this stranger. The question about 'the more the merrier' would draw an annoyed sigh from the man, him then hearing Ravenna support Cole's decision, earning the female a small glance, before his focus returned to the stranger. He'd come with a hint of his home, garnering the attention of the collage student. Cole would've been quick to 'Nope' that situation, a obvious lure...but then the man said something that seemed to catch both Cole and Ravenna off guard. The man's distrusting gaze shifted to that of first confusion--eyes blinking in question--before a more flustered expression crossed his features. This even made Tsuki sink down a little in embarrassment simply for the two humans.
Swear Cole and Ravenna must have synced up in the moment, both of them throwing their hands up and waving them as a 'No its not like that' signal, the man shaking his head. "I'its not like that--we just met like 5 minutes ago if that!" the man would explain in a bit of a fluster. Ravenna and the stranger had another exchange--it was almost...comically awkward, Cole's expression shifting to raise an eyebrow at the quote that didn't even make sense. Then he was addressed--back to the accusing them of being....just no--was she even lega...--wait who cares just no!
Cole's look shifted back to narrowing his eyes as he glared at the stranger. "I'm not trying to play these games...Clearly you have us figured wrong--we're not...t-that...or anything like that--nor are we gonna fall for such an obvious trick...the 'Oh I was just on my way home, I would invite you' routine? I've read better lures in children's books..." he said, calling the strangers bluff. Cole had a gut feeling about this. "...Now if you really wanted to be friendly--maybe leave us alone and come back some time thats a bit less...creepy." he'd add, taking a few steps forward to stand now between the stranger, and the lot of Tsuki and Ravenna. He was showing his bravery considering he didn't know who--or what--he was dealing with...but this instinctual protective nature moved Cole to here. What he didn't know was the kind of power Ravenna held. Tsuki's eyes shifted to concern, "Cole please get back here..." she pleaded, afraid what would happen if Cole was attacked.

As if Ravenna crashing with Cole and Tsuki wasn't already uncomfortable enough, this mysterious stranger strolling along and implying that they were an item really tipped the scale. Cole calls out the violinist, accusing him of setting an obvious trap. Both Cole and Ravenna were adamant that they were not together like that. The stranger just chuckles to himself, apparently amused.
"Alright, alright. Maybe I was a bit too presumptuous. Pardon me, but you looked like a couple. Though the fact that you got so defensive makes me wonder. No, I see that I have caused you enough grief for one night. It was not my intention to disturb you."
Ravenna watches as Cole had stepped forward, standing between the women and this peculiar individual. Though with the way Cole acted, she wasn't sure who she was more afraid of. Still, the notion that they were together was shocking, to say the least. Sure, Ravenna might have been interested when she first approached the campsite, but there's no way she would go for a guy like that, would she? Ravenna tries to push it out of her mind, and deal with the task at hand, getting this stranger to skedaddle.
"Look, we're fine as it is, but maybe you can come back tomorrow. I'm not really in the mood to hang out right now, and I'm ready to get some sleep. See you later, maybe?"
The stranger strokes his chin, as the light from the fire reflects off his brown eyes. Finally, he gives up trying to invite himself to their little drum circle. He shrugs his shoulders, and leans back, looking up at the night sky.
"I see you have made up your mind. Very well, another night on my own."
The stranger wipes his nose on his sleeve, as tears start to run down his cheeks.
"Guess I'll be on my way now. Oh! One more thing. It's important. You don't want to go to sleep 'round these parts. There are dangerous Digimon that come out at night. Remember to tie up your food and hang it from a tree. You don't want to attract any Bearmon, no sir. That reminds me of a time when I was very little when-"
"Enough already! Go! BWAHRK!"
Ravenna got a little too excited telling off the violinist, and her inner bird habits get the best of her. She gasps and covers her mouth in embarrassment.
"Well that was unusual. Are you some kind of bird? Wait a minute, how do I know you're not setting some kind of trap?! I get it, you play some music, hoping to lure unsuspecting people to your campfire, then you peck out their eyes! How do you know if you can trust each other? Careful, bird lady."
The stranger starts to play his violin.
"Hey now, be warned. Hey now, beware. If you close your eyes, you can see what isn't there. Hey now, be calm. Open your eyes! Lies may be truth, and truth may be lies."
The stranger stops playing and takes a bow, then holds for applause.

Cole really just wanted this person gone, glaring daggers at the creepy stranger as he stood, hearing them again and again go on and on. Cole was beginning to grit his teeth as his patience was wearing very thin. Cole usually had a bit longer fuse then this but the past week had beaten the man down--quite literally in some cases--and he was tired of the games. Now fake tears? Followed by what he'd call a warning, but Cole felt more as a threat. Just about to bark out an angered tone, it seemed he was beaten too it...although it was less a bark, and more a bwhark...what? Cole's angered expression shifted to simply confusion, the man turning to look back behind him to Ravenna, blinking on confusion. Just in time to catch the young woman gasp and cover her mouth, clearly embarrassed.
Before he could even question it, he was once again beat to it--was he just...a step behind tonight? Wow he was off. Turning back to hear the stranger sort of poke fun at the girl's...bird like noise--but quickly shift to accusing them...and right back around to starting to play music on his violin--a little tune of warning to go with the melody. He'd had enough of these games.
"Look dude--I'm not playing these childish games, you act like some cartoon character, I'm not out here on vacation or to have fun. If that was true then why would we be trying to get you to go away huh? Know what--yeah, sure, lets go with it. I lured you here. Now get before I change my mind and don't give you the chance!" Cole would speak with an angered tone, more aggressive then he'd been before--even a bit condescending in nature as he would flip it on the stranger, just as the stranger tried to flip it on them. Cole was in no mood for games, but if a little bit of the stranger's own medicine would end this before it escalates, then maybe it'll be worth it.
But...their night had other plans it seemed. The group was all thoroughly distracted--even Tsuki's sharp ears had stopped paying attention on sounds to more focus on keeping her eyes on this stranger for any strange actions...but did he work alone? In a quick and foul swoop--a small dark bat winged creature dropped from the shadows, speeding right past Tsuki and Ravenna, and straight to Cole. Before much of any reaction could be made by any seeing it--Tsuki's eyes simply widening as she seen the Digimon charge towards Cole, but her unable to get a word out--the Digimon would clutch a small chain on the back of Cole's neck--makng the man swing around upon the feeling, but before he even could turn around this DemiDevimon was now flying upwards with something in the grip of his foot...Cole's sister's necklace! Cole glared up angerly, but the anger shifted to first shock upon seeing the DemiDevimon with the necklace--a hand reaching up to check and sure enough it was gone--then his expression shifted to pure rage. "Give it back you flying rat!" Cole yelled. Tsuki did something she usually wouldn't, but knowing Cole's personal connection to that thing, she jumped to action, the nimble Digimon leaping up and beginning to condense a bright blue flame in her mouth. "Azure fire!" echoed as she launched a small but quick fireball towards the DemiDevimon. Sadly the flying Digimon fairly easily avoided it--flying over to the mysterious strangers side.
"Around and around, a loop it goes--would it go anywhere? Nobody knows." the DemiDevimon spoke in rhyme, smiling at the very pissed off owner of the item he took, Cole glaring in pure rage at the two now, and while a bit more subtle then Ravenna's bird noise earlier--the man seemed to bare his teeth as he bit down in anger, almost like a Wolf showing its fangs, even if unintended by the man. DemiDevimon would begin chuckling, "Better luck next time cutie, maybe by then you won't be so moody." the DemiDevimon would comment on Tsuki missing, giving the BlackGabumon a wink...this drew an expression of distaste out of Tsuki.

That was embarrassing. Without knowing about Ravenna's Digimon forms, it just seemed absurd that this woman would caw like a bird. Cole rips into the mysterious stranger, insulting him and making it clear that he didn't want him around. The stranger's tone changed, no longer acting merry. He tilts his head forward and sneers at the Tamer.
"Who's playing?"
Suddenly, a winged figure darts across the sky, snatching the necklace around Cole's neck. Tsuki attempts to land a hit, but the creature is able to dodge the blast in time. The thief, DemiDevimon, flies over to the violinist's side, and taunts the others while speaking in rhymes.
"A shady figure wearing all black stalking around at night turned out to be untrustworthy. You're not doing anything to combat stereotypes. Hey, we don't even know your name."
"My name? Hmph. To the gentlemen, I'm Miss Fortune, and to the ladies, I'm Sir Prize. And now I think we shall take our leave with this prize. Farewell, travelers!"
The man turns around and starts slowly walking away. Ravenna isn't about to let him just stroll off with Cole's necklace. Ravenna stomps over towards the man, glaring at him with her head tilted down and her arms raised up at her sides ready to strike.
"Get over here!"
The man pauses, and looks over his shoulder. Ravenna goes to land a right hook, but her fist simply passes through the mysterious stranger. Ravenna keeps going and stumbles, before she regains her balance. She looks down at her hand, then over at the stranger.
"I went right through you..." "Intangibility, it has its uses."
The stranger turns towards DemiDevimon and laughs.
"First, you want me to leave, now you can't bare to see me go. If you want the necklace back, you're just going to have to take it. Now that's my idea of a game."
The violinist jumps up into the air and spins around, landing a big kick right to Ravenna's chest, knocking her down. The stranger tips the brim of his hat to Ravenna, then turns and blows a kiss to Cole and Tsuki before slowly walking off.

Cole was beginning to mentally loose it. Never had anyone laid a hand on that necklace besides him and Scarlet...This anger, this near primal rage, it was welling up within Cole. He was apparently beat to the first punch, Ravenna stepped up and tried to send a right hook on the...man? woman? At this point the stranger could be anything, or nothing for that matter. Cole as well as Tsuki watched in shock as Ravenna went through the man--almost falling in the process. Tsuki would start running over, about the time DemiDevimon laughed along with the stranger, the Digimon flying off into the Tyrant's Labyrinth. Cole wanted to chase after DemiDevimon, but at this point the stranger was proven a threat and Ravenna was right next to him now.
He would run up while the stranger had focus on Ravenna, trying to see if he could catch it off guard with a tackle--but he'd find himself simply passing right through the figure just like before with Ravenna, the man stumbling right through and turning around, eyes of anger glaring to the stranger. At this moment is when the stranger would leap, and send it'd foot to Ravenna's torso, knocking her down. Cole at this point was close enough to quickly catch her on the way down, softening the hit to the ground at least. He glared as the stranger begun walking away, standing back up. Tsuki by now got to them and knelled next to Ravenna, "You ok??!" the BlackGabumon asked in a panic.
Cole essentially growled at this point in anger, maybe not literally...maybe literally--the man snapping at the stranger. "Call back your little flying rat with my damn necklace! The hell would you want with it anyways, not like it has any value to you!" he yelled in anger as he chased after the slowly walking stranger, circling around to cut him off. "Give. It. Back...What is it you want..." the tall man growled sternly, just trying to reason with the violin playing stranger since attacking wasn't seemingly working as Cole stared down the slightly shorter figure--unable to see their eyes due to the brim of the stranger's hat. This put him in the line of danger now if the figure wished to try to attack him.
