((Doing the "Guard Duty - Your mission is to act as a bouncer for the Caritas nightclub. Another brawl so soon after the last one would not be very good for business. Act professionally, prevent entry to any digimon that look suspicious and shady and make it through the night without letting incidents happen." job.))
Dusk was just falling over the Digital World, but Whitewater City just never died down, the second largest city in the Digital World was busting at the seams with life. It really wasn't a comfy place for the anti-social man known as Cole, he'd be sitting at a table after having ordered something to drink--not that kind--the man sipping on some ice water as he rest. "Can I have a drink?" asked Tsuki, the BlackGabumon sitting opposite of Cole. Cole's jaded jade hues would pull up from his drink, him nodding and slidiing it over to her. "Have it, I'm good...besides, kinda low on cash so I can't afford another...why can't you guys just use normal money?" "This is normal money for us." "...But not to me." the two of them had a back and forth, Cole sighing afterwords.
He just wanted to get out of this place. It was too crowded for him, and as a Human he stood out among the 100s of Digimon walking these streets. Oddly...this place felt closest to the human world, this and the main hub city of the Digital World, after having appeared out in the sticks seeing a huge city like this sort of amazed Cole and changed his perspective of the Digital World...but it just reminded him of his own world and how tired of it he was. The man had enough of it and stood, ready to leave, the tall man towering over 90% of rookie level Digimon. One Digimon came along--just an In-Training form, but a snide look on his face. This was a Pagumon. "Hey, hey, beanpole, down here." the digimon called up to Cole, a smirk across his face. Cole glanced down.
"What?" "You look kinda tough, you're a human right? I don't see you guys come that tall usually. The bouncer at the nightclub I work at ahh....got fired....yeah we'll go with that, lastnight after a little brawl broke out. Think you could stand at the door and look tough, keep shady Digimon out?" "...You look shady." Cole would rather quickly responded to the Pagumon. He'd try to walk off but the Pagumon bounced back in front of him. Tsuki frowned as she watched Cole be bugged. "Come on man, help a cool 'mon like myself out. It'll pay of course, enough to put you guys up in one of these hotels for the night. What ya' say?"...Cole glared at the Pagumon, he felt he had better things to do then play guard dog for a night club...especially given one here! But Tsuki cam up to Cole and put her paw against his arm, looking up at him. "You did say we was tight on cash...." "...Ugh, fine..." the man reluctantly agree'd.
The Pagumon smirked with its snidely look, "Alright beanpole follow me." "Stop calling me beanpole..." "I like your attitude, it'll keep idiots out of the club."...at least the Pagumon didn't mind Cole's rudeness? He sighed and followed, Tsuki tailing Cole who was tailing the Pagumon. They only had a bit to walk, the club was right down the street. The Pagumon would show Cole where to stand, Tsuki would stick by of course. "Alright just keep anyone shady or uncool looking out. If anything pops off I expect you to break it up." "Kay"...Cole was down to one word responses, he didn't want to do this, but they could use the cash. The Pagumon seemed to smile with its eyes as much as its mouth, those red shady eyes...but money was money whoever the employer and the Pagumon had yet to show any reason that anything bad was going on...ok besides it sounding more like the last bouncer died then getting fired, that was shady.
The night would go on and many tried to get into the club...Cole wasn't in a good mood, it almost worked perfectly, he could tell weirdo's to shove off...Tsuki just sat next to Cole, yawning. She was more the muscle here then him...funny how the Pagumon must've had a weird concept of humans, simply cause Cole was tall and strong didn't make him much a match for most Digimon. Either way, other then some annoyed not to get in, the night was rather event-less. All night one by one Digimon would come up...frankly Cole had no clue what the Pagumon considered cool or un-cool or shady, hell Cole agree'd the Pagumon was shady--he'd deny him access and he works there apparently. But there didn't seem to be any issues, not one complaint would come to him all night, any time the Pagumon checked on him he'd make note of the good job Cole was doing. So whatever Cole was doing was good enough. If he thought they looked cool or acted cool, he'd let them in--simple as that.
A loud crash was heard inside the club and Cole turned to the door--pushing it open to look in. He could see two small Digimon in eachother's face. "...Seriously." he grumbled. "Tsuki keep watch of the door for a sec." he'd say as he went in. He'd walk up to the two now headbutting in-training tier digimon and pick them both up, one under each arm. They yelled and hissed at each other, but Cole just walked right out with them. Tossing them they'd roll out into the street. "Come back when ya'll cool off, or never, I don't care..." Cole would say sternly, making them both bounce off grumbling in separate directions. It would only be a bit later Pagumon returned to Cole, smiling up at him. "Seen you toss those idiots, no fuss, no drama, just got the job done. Good job beanpole. Lucky for you, I have my new permanate bouncer hired and you can go now. Here's your pay." the 'mon would say, motioning for a 2nd Pagumon to hop up with a bag of money in its mouth. Cole leaned down and took it, opening the bag and counting it..."Fair enough...have a good one." Cole said, turning and walking with throwing a wave over his shoulder. Tsuki happily took off after him, smiling...yay a bed for the night! The two would go on down the road, hitting up hotel for a nice meal and a room for the night. Better then sleeping under a tree, or being lead nearly to his doom in some twisted fun house...wow Cole had had some odd adventures in his short time here.
