The wind caressed Yahiko's dichromatic brown mane as he stalked into the Alley in Western Shibuya, a half-consumed packet of biscuits in his hand that he had picked up from a local tuck shop on the way to put his tormented stomach at ease.
This alley...
He had been here over six years ago, when he had almost been killed by a chunk of falling concrete breaking off from the building above him, one of the two that formed the alley. He would have been quite dead, had it not been for that black silhouette, that bat-winged creature that had carried him to safety and then disappeared before he could even get a proper glance at it.
His mind belied that the event had ever occurred, yet his heart knew it was more than an hallucination. Ever since he moved back to Shibuya a week ago, he had felt a sort of... calling, towards this place. He had tried to ignore it, of course, because it was all quite irrational, yet...
Here he was, walking into an alley in Western Shibuya for no particular reason.
"Hnn," Yahiko grunted, realising, after a few minutes of standing there pointlessly, that this was all redundant.
Yet, as soon as he turned around and began to walk back out from whence he came, he heard a strange... beeping... sound?
"What, now?" the chocolate-eyed boy mumbled to himself, turning around back again, tracing the location of the beeping sound with gentle steps, knowing he was getting close by its increasing volume.
Yahiko stopped at a dumpster, where the sound was the loudest. "Probably just a toy," he mused, but before he could leave again, his eyes fell at his feet where, poking out from beneath the dumpster was a small, black, pager-like device. Blinking, the boy crouched down to pick it up.
"A pager? I haven't seen one of these since Da--"
The display screen on the device suddenly began glowing a brilliant purplish black, and then Yahiko felt a falling sensation and he yelled before a flash of blinding light overtook his vision.
Kokomon was starving.
She was also still aching because of her encounter with the mad Greymon weeks ago, but the baby Digimon had toughened up considerably since then. Still, she was no Leomon when it came to hunting and no Birdramon when it came to scavenging. She could not even remember the last time she had had something to eat, and she was so famished now that it actually hurt.
Still, she hopped onward, finding herself in a strange land quite unlike the place where she had hatched in as a Conomon. It had tall, dark, brown and green-topped trees - she had only learned what trees were days ago by listening to a few Digimon referring to them as such (from a far enough distance; there was no way she was going near another Digimon again). In any case, it was a dark place due to the very little sunlight here, and although Kokomon found the lack of heat and the cool, forested breeze much more comfortable than anything else during her previous journeys, she couldn't really enjoy any of it because she was so hungry.
She was also alone...
"Maybe... I'm just meant to be alone..." she mumbled to herself, though she ended up scaring herself rather than reassuring herself. Was she meant to be alone her whole life? She didn't know if she could bear this, this pain of loneliness, forever. Tears began to well up in her eyes, the twin pangs of hunger and of loneliness both finally consuming her as she began to wimper pitifully.
Before a flash of light in the otherwise dark forest caused her to snap her attention at the mass of red, brown and black that fell from the sky.
"Ugh...!" she heard the big, strange Digimon groaning - she had never seen one this Digimon before! - before he blinked his eyes open and sat up on the leaf-littered forest floor, rubbing his eyes as they adjusted to the lighting. Only then did Kokomon realise how big he was, and she got scared again and yelped.
The sound caused Yahiko to snap in her direction, and Kokomon screamed. "Ah!" she tried to turn around and run away, only to completely find herself void of energy and she collapsed.
"... *sob*... Oh no... I'm so *sob* hungry that I can't... move.. *sob*... the mean Digimon's probably gonna end up deleting me," she mumbled to herself, too crestfallen to care that the other boy was listening.
Yahiko, for his part, had gears whirling in his mind. He had just been teleported from an alley in Western Shibuya into a forest with a strange, talking animal crying out of hunger. He looked at the black device in his hand, and sighed. His common sense told him he was still hallucinating, but this was one of those rare times when his rational mind did not, in fact, agree with his common sense. To think, moments ago he was doubting the existence of black bat-winged flying creatures that saved children from dying in alleys.
Was this Narnia by any chance?
Yahiko had always found that novel series interesting as a child. To his credit, at least he was taking this all in stride.
The sobbing Digimon caught his attention, and it was at that moment that Yahiko realised he had a half-eaten packet of biscuits in his left hand. He pocketed the black device he held in his right one and walked over to the downtrodden creature. "Uh... hey, weird-talking animal? You said you were hungry? Here," he brought a biscuit close to Kokomon's mouth.
Just the scent was enough for the starved Digimon to attack the food item with her mouth, almost on instinct. She consumed it all, and in seconds felt her energy returning to her, and the world suddenly started making sense again.
"Y-You... fed me?" she asked, disbelief inherent in her tone, as she looked up fearfully at the, from her perspective, giant creature. She was now still debating whether she should run away or trust him, but she hadn't been attacked by him, and his voice was kind. She felt drawn to him, plus the taste and scent of that food he had was delicious! "Why?"
"Eat," Yahiko smiled, still wondering in the back of his mind how he had gotten to Narnia and why this wasn't creeping him out like it objectively should, and placed the packet of biscuits open on the ground besides the Kokomon. "You couldn't move, moments ago. I promise I won't hurt you. Eat up and we'll talk later," he nodded at the chocolate-coloured Digimon, who smiled, her eyes being replaced by stars, before she dug into the packet of biscuits ravenously, obviously having needed it as much as a SkullGreymon needed a high-protein diet.
As Kokomon savoured the taste and felt her energy return, she couldn't help but her let her mind wander. 'He fed me. And he promised not to hurt me... could he be the one?'

Ruben was rather surprised that they had ended up in a forest, goes to show that they were still slightly new to the digital world. The boy didn't mind that they had somehow strayed from their original destination, originally they were headed towards the southern tropics, some friendly Digimon had told the group that this area in the digital world was rather nice this time of year.
Ruben being the water lover he was wanted to go and swim for a bit, ever since they moved to the city he hadn't seen any water nearby, it made him really homesick. Of course, he didn't know the digital very well yet so it was normal that they got slightly lost in this new wild area. It wasn't all a loss, he loved the forest, not as much as the water and swimming but he did enjoy a stroll once and a while in a forest. Ruben looked up from the map he had gotten from the friendly Digimon, apparently, they were in a forest called server woods. Meiyoaru, a Ryudamon was in front of the group, he was on high alert as they walked through the seemingly quiet forest, a Digimon could attack them out of nowhere. His younger brother Kido, a plotmon was trotting next to Ruben, his large open mouth smile on his face as his eyes darted around in an excited manner.
Unlike his brother Kido was just merely excited about the area they were in, he had never seen so many trees in his life before. The puppy-like Digimon had to use every ounce of willpower to keep from running off deeper into the woods, he didn't want to worry his brother or tamer. Kido, however, stopped when he had picked up quite the delicious scent, he smelled bread, the puppy yipped and turned in the direction of the smell"NISSAN, RUBEN I SMELL BREAD!!" he shouted and without warning tore off in the direction of the smell. Ruben and Meiyoaru gasped, they turned around to try and stop the hyper Digimon from running off but they were too late.
" Otōto!, get back here!" the older one shouted, he and Ruben ran after the puppy Digimon, they didn't want him to run into trouble. Kido, on the other hand, had double-timed it toward the scent, he didn't hear his brother or tamer in his excitement to get to the food. He burst into the area spotting a KoKomon and another odd looking human, the puppy tilted his head as he looked at the human, his smile never leaving his face. After a moment he bounded over to the other tamer and put his front paws on the human's leg "hello! my names Kido!, whats yours?" he asked as his smile got larger if that was even possible.

As the portal opened, Chie walked out through it as it quickly closed behind her. However even as the portal was still open, the voice from her Digivice was not hesitant. "Alright! Let me out of here! This is inhumane!" Chie didn't even bother giving it a moments thought as she decided to skip the usual correcting routine. Pressing a button while her Digivice.
A blob of light slowly oozed out of the D-3 as it dropped onto the ground, and build up shape until it had the form of a DORUmon before solidifying back into DORUmon. He stretched out his back and arms, finally relieved that he was out of hell. "Alright, next time we should just make a rendezvous in the digital world."
While Do was enjoying his relief, only after he spoke he noticed Chie already started walking, fidgeting with her Digivice. Do started running after her trying to keep up. "Wait up! I thought I was the expert tracker here!" Chie shrugged as she figured it couldn't hurt, unless she walked into a pitfall. "Well, if you don't wanna accompany me home, that's fine. But you're missing out on food at home. Especially the majority of my latest creation."
Chie withdrew a paper bag from her purse, enough to make Do's mouth water on first sight. It was a bitter sweet decision as Do decided to grovel and suffer for the chance at food. "Alright... I'll suffer the V-Pet." Chie lowered the bag back into her purse as she smirked. Chie figured better to have him with her so when she does come back to the digital world, so something doesn't prevent a rendezvous.""That's what I thought."
However, Do grabbed Chie by at the knee all off a sudden as he could see something in the distance, a bipedal figure. His attempt for attention was well met, but not the silent portion as Chie could feel his claws almost pierce her stockings. "Do, don't rip my clothes."
Do pointed in the distance towards the human. "Look, it's a human!" To which Chie just immediately carried on walking forward. Do was walking backwards in front of her, concerned at her lack of concern. "Really, you're just gonna approach him?"
Chie looked down briefly towards Do, not sure what his alarm was for. "It's just a human, what's the worst that's gonna happen, he'll turn into a Digimon?" While it seemed like it was meant to be a crazy notion, Do interjected "Well, actually-" before karma swung around and bit him as he tripped before he could finish his sentence. Chie simply walked around him as she could finally get a decent look at the human.
As she approached, she noticed the boy sharing his food with the poor, starving Digimon, she couldn't help but admire the boy's kindness. But she noted the packet of biscuits he gave it. However as she noted the scene, she couldn't help but notice the poor thing's condition. "Poor thing! Must've been assaulted, some Digimon around here are jerks."
Do finally caught up as he approached. Seeing the condition of the poor Digimon, he felt his blood boil as he instantly started shouting and looking around. "Assaulted? Who did this! A Fresh Digimon assaulted, that's just low, I will pummel whoever did this!"
Chie sighed and pulled out the paper bag from her purse, she pulled out what appeared to be a caramel apple without the stem and slid it into Do's mouth as he was having an outburst, the taste of it instantly calmed him down. She looked to the human, extending her hand out of courtesy. "Hello, I am Chie, and this one is my Digimon, Do."

As the Plotmon suddenly erupted out of the bush, Kokomon paused his consumption of biscuits and yelped in shock, hopping to hide from the Plotmon behind Yahiko's leg reflexively. Yahiko, on the other hand, merely sweat-dropped at the Digimon that suddenly showed up and started climbing up his leg. Where did this one come from? Still, it was quite cute for a puppy. "Erm... my name's Yahiko?"
The boy then spared Kokomon a glance. "Friend of yours?" he inquired playfully, before realising that Kokomon was actually hiding from the Plotmon, unsuccessfully concealing herself behind Yahiko's leg. Finding that strange, Yahiko glanced back at the smiling Plotmon, when suddenly a girl came walking towards them out of nowhere.
Yahiko raised an eyebrow at Chie as she showed herself, clearly having never seen her before. She and that strange purplish-blue dragon-like squirrel that was walking and talking beside her. Oh great; now Narnia had miniature talking dragon-squirrels, too?
Kokomon whimpered silently when Dorumon declared that he would pummel whoever did this to him. She was scared of all higher-level Digimon after she had gotten caught accidentally in a fight between the two Greymons; she thought all bigger Digimon always did was fight around and that would hurt weaker Digimon like her. Dorumon's exaggerated claims of pummeling those Greymon, therefore, scared her as well: she thought he was just like the rest of them.
Yahiko sweat-dropped again when Chie calmed her partner down by clogging his mouth with food. Then she extended her hand towards Yahiko, who blinked, before he shook it back.
"I'm Yahiko, and, uh..." scratching the back of his head, he glanced down at the scared Kokomon and the Plotmon clumped around his feet, before pointing at both of them respectively. "I don't know what the triple-horned chocolate one's name is, but she was hungry. And the puppy said his name was 'Kido', and, uh..."
He paused, focusing his attention onto Chie, before asking the million-dollar question. "... What's a Digimon?"

Kido's smile brightened, his tail wagged rapidly as he learned the name of this new odd human. " it's nice to meet you!" he barked and got off of Yahiko's leg. He then turned his attention to the hiding In-Training level Digimon "Oh hi!, I'm not gonna hurt you" the puppy like Digimon said kindly as he looked at the poor injured baby Digimon. His attention was then diverted to the lady and her Digimon. The plotmon was almost vibrating with excitement, the puppy yipped happily and ran around the group "yay new friends!" he shouted in joy.
However, he came to a screeching stop when Yahiko asked what a Digimon was, the puppy looked over at him"you don't know what a Digimon is?" he said with an adorable head tilt "I'm a Digimon, he's a Digimon and the little one behind your leg is a Digimon" the little puppy said as he gestured to himself, the dorumon and finally the kokomon. The puppy was about to say more but voices in the distance caused the puppy to perk up " Otōto!, come back! were are you!" "Kido!!!, come back, it's not safe!" both voices sounded equally concerned about Kido
The Plotmon jumped up and down, he took a deep breath before answering their calls"Nisan!, Ruben I'm over here! there are new friends!!!" he shouted. The forest was quiet for a moment before the sounds of rapid footfall filled the silence, the sounds were getting louder meaning that they were getting closer.

As Chie soon found herself on the reverse end of the position she found yesterday, she felt the awkwardness of the realization that she was on the opposite end of the shtick so soon. She noted the canine Digimon's happiness and glee, he tried to explain to the boy what a Digimon is. Chie figured better for him to burn out his energy in one blow, but she was not expecting company in a number greater than one as the two voices responded. Delving into her paper bag she pulled out another caramel apple treat, hoping it would silence the puppy digimon.
She bent her knees, bending down to face the small puppy Digimon as she set down the treat on the ground, for the puppy to have at his own discretion, hoping it would be enough of a distraction for her to talk. "Here, have this, it's an apple peeled and lightly baked in cinnamon, then dipped in caramel. Don't worry about choking, seeds and core already removed."
Standing back up, she was glad she baked in bulk. Granted depending on today, she might want to consider selling them in the bakery, depending on general responses. Looking back to Do, he was almost done trying to swallow it, Chie figured better to not give him another as there are others coming, can't tell if they're hostile or not, but better be safe than sorry. She turned back to Yuhiko, hoping to clarify things for him. "Digimon are basically digital aliens. They can change their form by a process called Digivolution."
Chie took a moment to gaze at Yahiko, looking for a digivice, thinking she was looking for a D-3, when in fact she saw the black device in his hand. Looking back to Do, pulling on his chain till she could grab the gen 1 digivice on his chain to compare it to the black one. "I assume you're device is similar to this one? Interesting, from what I gather, you have the old model of what's known as a Digivice."
Pulling out her D-3 Digivice from her purse, she held it up to show Yahiko. "I happen to have a different model, not sure on specification differences, but what they do is perform something called Digivolution. It allows you to speed up the process for a digimon to digivolve, catch is it only works on one Digimon that you're bound to, by fate. Yes I checked, you don't get a choice."
She looked at the Kokomon, wondering if they were Yahiko's partner, seemed like it. Chie however, did not want to say anything she wasn't uncertain off.

Kokomon whimpered when Plotmon's attention turned to her, but she calmed down somewhat when he stated his intentions of not hurting her. She blinked, not really wholly trusting him just yet, but still acclimatising somewhat to Kido's presence.
Yahiko blinked, smiling slightly at Kido's cute look before listening to him and Chie explain what exactly a Digimon was, and how the process for Digivolution went. He glanced at the black first generation Digivice that he had, by then, clipped to his belt. Unclipping it, the boy brought it up to eye level before comparing it with the two Chie showed him.
"Digi-... -volution, huh?" he rolled the word on his tongue. "So, this isn't really Narnia, is it?"
He almost sounded disappointed.
Yahiko pondered on what Chie and Kido had told him for a few moments in silence, before beginning to speak again. "Wait, so, you're saying that there's a... 'Digimon', who is meant to be a companion to me, the same way as that one," he pointed at Chie's Dorumon. "Is to you? And I can use this," he gripped his digivice tighter, "to help it... evolve?"
The moment Kokomon's eyes fell on the digivice in Yahiko's hand, they widened as saucers, before all her sadness and anger disappeared as if it was never there. She felt a calling, a completeness, an ethereal recognition from that digivice and somehow just knew it belonged to her tamer. "It is you!!!" she shouted suddenly, and Yahiko looked down at her jumping about around his legs.
"What are you--?"
"I'm programmed to be a Digimon partner to a Digimon Tamer, and I've been waiting and searching for my partner for so long! It has to be--no, it is you, I just know!" Kokomon explained, smiling cutely as she hopped up and down in excitement and cheer.
Yahiko blinked. "You're my... partner?"
It was at that moment that Kido called for his 'brother' and some guy named Ruben. Kokomon, scared again due to the intrusion, stopped hoping around, hiding behind Yahiko's leg for a second time as the brown-haired boy stared into the bush from whence the sound of footsteps came, with narrowed eyes.

Kido looked at the treat that the female human had given him, the puppy sniffed at the treat and stepped back he looked up at the female human with a smile "thank you!, but big brother said I shouldn't accept treats from stranger" the Plotmon said. "I'll wait till Nisan gets here, so we can share it" the puppy yipped. apparently, he wouldn't have to wait long as another Digimon and a 10-year-old boy burst into the clearing from the same direction the plotmon had come from.
Meiyoaru looked frantically around the clearing, he immediately spotted his brother and ran over to him"kido!, what were you thinking!, you could have gotten lost or worse attacked by a higher level Digimon" the furry armour wearing dragon exclaimed as he looked at his little brother "do you feel ok? are you hurt?" he asked as he poked and prodded his brother, trying to see if he had any bruises or cuts. The Plotmon began to laugh as he was poked "Nisan!, s-stop that t-tickles!" the puppy exclaimed as he tried to get away from his brother's constant poking.
The boy that was with both digimon relaxed, it seemed like Kido was alright, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if something had happened to Kido. The boy has tan skin, due to taking nature walks, swimming or helping his father with their Koi farm. He has big blue doe eyes, they shine brightly with innocence and happiness. His black hair is styled into a Mohawk, his cousin had cut his hair for him in this style before he left his home city. He wears a short-sleeved stylish jacket, the jacket is a dark blue color with white trims on the sleeves of the jacket and the bottom part of the jacket. On one side of the jacket over his heart are the white outlines of two Koi fish swimming around what appears to be a white pearl. Under the jacket, he wears a white shirt with a small panda in the middle of it. The shirt also has a black border around its trims. He wears blue waterproof pants with large pockets on both sides of the pants. He wears white sneakers, with Black shoe laces and outlines. Finally, Ruben has a camera around his neck, its a light blue color with a white string, he likes to take a lot of pictures.
Ruben tore his eyes away from his two twin partners and spotted the other two people in the clearing, the child felt shy all of sudden"oh, hello please excuse my rudeness" the child stuttered out and bowed at the waist "my names Ikeda Ruben"

As Yahiko and Kokomon finally came to the realization that they are, for better or worse, bound to one another for the foreseeable future. Chie waited for Yahiko to admit the words himself before deciding to have a bit of fun with a comedic gag. "By the power invested in my by random pure luck, I now pronounce you Digimon and partner, you may now run from whatever threat this puppy is probably dragging. With any luck, a giant wolf."
However, if all things Chie was expected to emerge from the bushes, an armadillo like Digimon and a pre-pubescent child were very low on the list. She silently cursed fate as she wondered if there was a minimum entry to enter the digital world. Since it wasn't exactly a voluntary thing, she supposed fate wouldn't be so picky, but she's surprised a child came back.
Chie walked over to the child, patting him on the head. "Don't worry child, you're not interrupting much." Do looked at the two Digimon in the meanwhile, confused on which one was supposed to be with the arriving child until it hit him that there was a possibility of no wrong answer. "I only heard rumors about this, but is this one of those rare cases where a chosen child has two Digimon?"
Chie looked back to Do, wondering what he meant by rare cases, but shrugged it off and returned focus back to the task at hand. The child in front of her was unsupervised in the Digital world, something that raised a lot of questions. "My name is Chie, the purple beast over there is my Digimon, Do. Are you lost? Please tell me you're not in the digital world all by yourself..."

Yahiko had a huge sweat-drop dangling off the side of his head at Chie's strange proclamation, though all of that was quickly forgotten upon the arrival of the much younger boy. At the back of his mind, Yahiko began to wonder if there was a lower-age limit to this whole Digimon thing; wasn't all this supposed to dangerous or something? Or was Chie joking or serious about that whole wolf thing?
Kokomon, of course, was still hiding, and Yahiko could feel her trembling behind his leg. "Hey," he whispered, looking down at her. "Relax. I won't let anyone hurt you, okay? If we're supposed to be partners, that's pretty much part of the deal."
Kokomon stilled at that, glancing up at Yahiko with wide eyes. She felt something inside her then, a feeling of completeness, contentment and attachment that she had longed for, for what felt like eons. "Y-You won't...?"
Yahiko nodded, and instantly, Kokomon felt her fear evaporating, and she actually moved forwards to stand beside Yahiko's leg.
Of course, seeing the way the Plotmon's brother treated him actually saddened Kokomon again as she thought about Zerimon, her brother who had disappeared long ago. Then someone mentioned twin Digimon, and Kokomon spoke up at that, finding Yahiko's presence giving her the confidence to do so without stuttering out of shyness. "Two Digimon... I... I actually have a twin... my brother, he..." she trailed off, becoming visibly saddened again. "He disappeared not long after we hatched. I don't know where he is, but I've been trying to find him..." she glanced up at Yahiko. "H-He's your partner too..."
Yahiko blinked at that, not really used to all this so not knowing how to respond. He simply nodded at Ikeda Ruben, responding with a polite, "Nakamura, Yahiko," albeit his mind was now occupied with the thoughts of his missing partner.
Then, Yahiko glanced back down at Kokomon. "Wait, his name is Do, and his is Kido," he said, pointing at them both in turn. "What's yours?"
Kokomon's 'cheeks' actually flamed up at that. "I... I'm a K-Kokomon, but I don't really have a name. No one... n-named me..."
Yahiko became silent after that, thoughts racing about a missing partner and a name for the present one.

Ruben straightened back up when the young lady had said he wasn't interrupting much and Yahiko Nakamura introduced himself, that was a relief to the young boy. He began to slightly sweat however when the young lady had asked if he had come here alone, it wasn't like he was able to take his parents with him, he didn't have many friends tied to the digital world either, even if he did he didn't want to bother them, what if they were busy.
"umm well, I am kinda alone," the child said with a nerves smile, "I needed to familiarize myself with this world, I dont have any other friends that could have come with me, I barely just moved to Shibuya," the child said. Meiyoaru once he was sure that his brother was ok, ran over to his tamer and the female human, he growled and stood between her and his tamer "that's close enough human! don't touch the Ruben!" he growled. Kido yipped and ran over to his brother "Nisan! their nice humans, don't worry" the plotmon said trying to sooth his older brothers worries. Meiyoaru turned to his little brother "Kido the last time we approached an unknown tamer she nearly deleted all of us" the dragon said stressing out US meaning that even Ruben was targeted. Ruben frowned "but Meiyoaru not everyone's the same," the tamer said, Meiyoaru opened his mouth but before he could say anything his brother beat him to it "sorry Nisan gets really grumpy when he hasn't eaten lunch," the puppy said. "Kido!" the little dragon said as he procceded to chase his little brother around the clearing, the puppy laughing as he ran.
Ruben watched the brothers run around the clearing, he turned his attention to the Dorumon and smiled shyly "yeah, their both my partners"

Chie couldn;t believe that a child as young as Ruben was allowed to wander another world, unattended, well by humans at least. She was semi-grateful that the armadillo digimon seemed to have their head on straight, even as Chie was being threatened. Still, Do did not take well to Chie being threatened either as he walked up to Meiyoaru with a threatening look in his eyes after the back and forth between the trio. "Lay so much as a claw on her, and I'll give you a one way ticket to the village of beginnings. Of all the tamers I had, she's not half bad. Hell if someone ripped her apart, there wouldn't be an evil bone in that remains."
Chie was not sure what to make of that statement. On the one hand he implied her getting ripped to shreds which made her want to sleep with a gun under her pillow. Yet on the other it was a testament to her character, and oddly confusing mix. Shrugging it off, she focused back to Yahiko, figuring that Ruben was well integrated already considering he wasn't freaking out. The subject of names came up, she wasn't entirely sure what to say, so she gave Do the spotlight. "Yeah, I don't know much about the names of Digomon so I'll let Do handle this."
Do, shrugged as he didn't really see a point to this discussion. "You see, Digimon have two names, first is the form name. Like I am a DORUmon. That partner of yours is a Kokomon. Some Digimon give themselves a name outside their form, just so no one has to be reintroduced six times over. Like I got my name cause literally all my forms start with Do. Dodomon, Dorimon, DORUmon, DORU-"
Chie gave Do another cinnamon-caramel apple before he restated his evolutionary line, again. Chie recalled the Kokomon's mention of a twin which was alarming, as she thought twin digimon would be harder to split then an atom. She didn't want to know the answer, but she had to ask. "Kokomon, did your other half, get sent to the village of beginnings?"
Do looked at Chie with wide eyes, as he was unsure how that would work if both came from the same Digi-tama. He was very much concerned for the answer that would be given.

Yahiko glanced at the boy when he said that he was new to Shibuya, smiling gently. "I just moved here as well," he spoke. "And this is my first time in Narni--I mean, this "digital world" or whatever it is, as well," he sweat-dropped at his own slip of tongue.
Of course, that lone drop of sweat multiplied to an entire shower the moment Dorumon opened his big mouth, and began quarrelling with Ruben's Digimon partner while talking about someone ripping Chie apart like she was a sack of meat having been thrown to the dogs or something.
"You have a... very graphic... Digimon for a partner," Yahiko noted dryly, as Kokomon trembled in fear at the thought of someone being ripped apart.
Then Dorumon began his lecture about Digimon names and Yahiko blinked as he processed all of that, before turning down to Kokomon, thinking of a name for her. It was a big help that Yahiko was multilingual; he could probably think up a name for his partner out of one of the six languages he could speak fluently.
As Yahiko thought about it, Kokomon looked at Chie when she inquired about his brother, and the boy began to listen attentively too, eager to get to know about his missing partner... whatever this 'village of beginnings' was.
"Ano... n-not exactly," Kokomon replied shyly, though there was a palpable sadness in her voice as she spoke of her missing brother. "We were both still in the village of beginnings when he disappeared, one day suddenly. We had only just come out of our digi-tama then. I didn't see him there again, til I left to find him as well... I think he's out here somewhere, in the Woods... probably l-lost or something..."
Yahiko looked at Kokomon's dejected expression, before he spoke, with a tone firm and determined. "We'll find him, Aiyla."
Kokomon looked up at him, confused. "A-Aiyla?"
"It's a Turkish name - that's a human language, if you didn't know. It means 'moonlight' or the 'halo of light around the Moon'... I always liked it, though I never got to name anyone that... before now anyways," Yahiko gave his Digimon partner a small, gentle smile, and Kokomon - or Aiyla - as she would come to be known from now on, stared up at him with wide eyes, before those began to tear up and she screamed in delight and jumped up, diving straight into Yahiko's arms and crying tears of happiness into his chest.
Yahiko simply chuckled, letting her express her joy, before his thoughts began to wander once again to the missing partner he had promised to find.

Ruben smiled when he heard that Yahiko was also new to the city, it was nice to know that someone else was new. He hasn't had any luck making friends in the city, perhaps he could make friends with these older kids. "well welcome then, it's really nice here but kinda dangerous" the child said with an adorable chuckle. The child, however, frowned when he heard Yahikos partner Digimon say that she had a brother too, but they had gotten lost from each other. the child stood there thinking while the two older kids talked.
Meiyoaru made a face at the Dorumons description about his tamer not being mean or evil in any way possible. Before the other could have a chance to argue however the Dorumon was already talking to Yahiko about Digimon and their names and such. The furry dragon scowled and blew air out of his snout, he turned to his brother and tamer, his brother was next to their tamer watching the slightly older humans speak. His attention was brought back to their tamer however when he noticed his tamer's thoughtful look.
Ruben smiled and nodded he looked over at Yahiko and the human's partner "is there any way I can help, I mean the more people that look the higher the chance we might find him, and there's always safety in numbers" the child said with a kind shy smile. At this Meiyoaru jumped up "Ruben its none of our business, plus what happened to going to the tropics" the little dragon said as he raised up a three-clawed paw, the real reason he was speaking against going along is that everytime Ruben decides on helping someone else he always seemed to get hurt or targeted, he was just doing his job as a Digimon partner, looking out for his tamer and brother. Ruben looked at Meiyoaru with a small smile "we can always go another day Meiyoaru, the tropics aren't going anywhere" the tamer said gently, he knew that his partner meant well. The puppy's smile slightly fell as he walked up to his brother "but Nisan they need help, what If I was lost huh, wouldn't you want help too?" the plotmon said as he tilted his head. Meiyoaru opened his mouth but shut it after a moment, he looked away scowling and stayed silent, the Plotmons Open-mouth smile picked up and became brighter.
Ruben smiled " we would like to help"

While Yahiko noted the obvious about Do, Chie couldn't help but note that Do's fear of change creep in, but as the prospect of a missing Digimon filled Do's mind, other thoughts clouded his focus. While Ruben and his two digimon argued over trying to help the duo. He never asked Chie's opinion, he never asked his permission, he just acted. Do walked up to Aiyla as he began to sniff her, very closely. Chie raised an eyebrow to what was going on with Do, wondering what he thought he was doing. "Do, what in the name of god are you doing?" Do poked his head up to answer. "Digimon twins usually hatch from the same Digitama, same scent and digicore's are very akin. My nose won't be able to differ their leftover scent."
Chie shrugged as she turned back to Yahiko. "Do is an expert tracker, but a poor cartographer. He'll track what you need." While Do scattered around the area with his nose in the air, frantically searching for sources of scents, Chie turned back to Ruben and his pair of Digimon. "Kiddo, I don't think this is a job for you and your pair. One of your digimon is too busy trying to protect you and the other digimon; while the other digimon is a flight risk for getting lost, into potential danger, and is easily distracted."
As Do was running around, he had climbed on top of a tree and perched like a squirrel as he chimed in on what Chie was saying. "The lady's got a point. The Plotmon's a risk and as long as the Ryudamon is too busy with protecting him and the boy, he's gonna ware himself down quickly. I'm not gonna stop you, but it's really gonna hurt if we get screwed due to someone not being able to buy a babysitter."
Chie blinked twice as she noted how serious Do was being, she couldn't help but be curious as to what Do was thinking. She said nothing as he looked back to Yahiko and Aiyla "Yo, lookin' for missing partner? I think I got the trail. Say the word I'll find them."
