PROFILE SUBMISSION RULES
Don't worry, this section won't be too long! Most everything you need to know about how to make your profile can be found in the character template thread. However, I want to take a quick second to talk not about how to make your character, but instead the etiquette of posting them up. Here are a few quick rules that'll make things clean and easy on both the member and staff halves of the equation.
When making your character on the site, please only develop movesets up to Armor Ultimate (and its non-Tamer equivalents)! You may post the forms that you intend to use later, but we would prefer that any level higher than Armor Ultimate have no movesets attached.
There are a few reasons for this. We know it's exciting getting started, but we also know that working on attacks for an entire app can be a little exhausting and lead to burnout. In addition, while attack creation may seem easy at the simpler end of things, once you get to Mega and Super Mega it can get tricky puzzling out what's okay and what isn't. Finally, we know you may want to redevelop your character based on experiences between creation and actually reaching higher level forms, so we don't want you to feel like you need to commit to decisions made all the way back when you first joined. For adding on any future forms, please post a profile edit.
For new members, the above is really all you need to know. The below rules pertain to profile edits, rather than new profiles.
For any profile edit pertaining to combat, please only make one profile edit post per month. The moveset portion of the app is the most time-consuming for both members and staff alike, and we don't want to cause too much clutter on either of these ends from constant tweaks made to an app. It's better to take advantage of the month delay to slow down, think about what you really want, and post a single comprehensive changelog rather than a barrage of small changes. Non-combat edits, such as character details, personality and history developments, or new forms with no current movesets attached, are not restricted as such, so feel free to make as many of those as you want. Exceptions may apply on a case-by-case basis.
Please note that if you intend on changing a form or replacing a move that has already seen use, the change should come with a good IC explanation. We won't get in the way of a deleted character reformatting into a new form to reflect their experiences, but we also don't want characters to be constantly changing for no real reason just because their writer is indecisive about their abilities.
When posting up your changes, please be clear, concise, and consistent with how you're formatting your changes. The more quickly we can pinpoint your changes, the more quickly we can add them into your app and let you use them. Please either include an easy-to-read changelog, or highlight any changes (bold, underlining, bright colors, so long as it is visible at a glance) so that we can tackle them as easily for you as possible.
Above all, please be patient with staff members about reviewing your profiles and edits. We know the wait can make us all anxious sometimes, but we promise we have many eyes on all staffwork cropping up. We work hard to curate an orderly list with all current pending requests. If yours isn't being reviewed yet, it's likely right next on that list. You can always check Mt. Staffwork to see how we are progressing on profile and edit requests. If nobody has touched your profile after a week has passed, feel free to remind the staff, preferably through the #Notify_Staff channel in our Discord.
