K had already managed to nod off? Just how long had Mikemon been peering inside?
Regardless, it didn't seem like the cat was disturbing a deep slumber, responding well-enough to his words. He gave a slight chuckle at that jump, and pulled in for a hug, he wrapped his own arms around her back. "I'll miss them too, honestly - but its good news. You're finally 'you', and no-one can tear that away from you any more." Even if her data scattered again, the Renamon likely would be able to come back in proper.
The Renamon took the news in stride, but soon enough, she looked forward. What did the cat feel like doing? He gave a brief look up at her, with a blush - before breaking the tension with a chuckle. "K, when's the last time you've had anything but jerky or mints to eat?" The Mikemon honestly had a fair point! "Let's work on getting you settled in first. Meditation or not, a few months in the woods will leave you a little on the 'edge'. How about we get the evening getting your city legs back?"
It was probably needed, considering everything else! "If not, we can just get you settled in here. Either way... um..." the cat sighed. There was just no good way to say it.
"After so long in the woods, you could probably use a shower."

K rubbed her eyes a few times and gave the Mikemon a small smile; the chuckle was met with a gentle pat on the head and she certainly found herself enjoying the hug that he gave her. He even admitted that he would miss the two that she spoke of; but in reality they wouldn't be completely gone. Small bits and pieces of them would work their way into her personality. So she might end up becoming slightly similar to one or both of them.
"It's a huge weight off of my shoulders that is for sure."
The renamon grinned a little bit; she wasn't sure how being reborn worked still. But she imagined if she ever felt that sensation.. well. She would recognize it and succumb to such a thing. The renamon paused slightly however when the cat inquired to her when the last time that she had eaten something other than mints or jerky? The question made her stomach rumble and she found herself drooling at the thought of something tasty. Wiping her mouth she'd flush brightly and rub her muzzle.
"...L-last time we had a meal together actually. Which.. would of been before I left hah..."
She'd give him a small smile and nod in agreement at the next portion.
"That's fair. I could use some time to decompress and just.. relax. Though to be equally fair Mikemon, I've never had city legs. I always lived out in the middle of no where! I'm not really used to big cities"
The renamon chuckled and then paused; blinking owlishly as he seemed to have trouble saying something. She'd tilt her head slightly as he sighed, looking like he wasn't sure how she was going to take this next portion... Then he said something that made her pause; flush very brightly and then sniff at her cloak. With a small frown she'd stick out her tongue in disgust.
"Sounds like a good idea. My clothing could use a wash too... Got anything that smells good? And uh. Where is the shower?"

Wait, she hadn't eaten since then? And K had been giving away the jerky for the first bit of her meditation?
That K's lips watered at the mention of food wasn't surprising in the slightest to the Mikemon. Tilting his head with a smile and a nervous chuckle, the cat found himself muttering: "Focusing energy like that only hides the fact that you're hungry. You aren't replacing anything you're losing..."
Er, right. Coughing as the topic passed, K made a good point: 'what city legs'? "Well, legs for civilization, at least. Whitewater's not nearly as populated as Terminus, so it shouldn't be too bad for a first city for you to get a handle on."
Aside from that, well, K just now realized just what sort of state she was in. Left in a forest for months on end regardless of the weather, it came without surprise that she a bit ripe in scent. Heck, K could even smell it on herself! "I can handle the clothes - would just be the same I do with my gloves, really." The Mikemon raised a paw at that, to show the glove. "Shower's back there, furthest door on the left. You can use my conditioner - nothing smelly, but it gets the job done."
Slowly, the cat stood, stretching out his arms - and briefly rubbing his eyes again, still normalizing from that focus. "Still have to look so deep for that..."

K wasn't sure how mikemon felt to know that she really hadn't eaten since the last time the two had shared a meal. It wasn't something she felt like she should of said but there was no reason for her to beat around the bush there. The renamon rubbed her muzzle and felt her cheeks flush a bit at that chuckle.
"Yeah... I suppose it shouldn't be a surprise but still... My body is going to hate me I think."
The renamon sighed and blinked a little bit when he spoke of her getting legs for civilization. With whitewater being smaller than terminus it was a good thing she wasn't having to get used to terminus! The renamon sighed gently and tugged at her gloves. Slowly taking them off; thankfully they didn't resist and her fur of course naturally allowed them to slide off.
"I suppose, I've only been to terminus a few times and it was so overwhelming I'll tell you that much. I'm grateful you live in such a place as this..."
She'd let out a small laugh and set those gloves to the side. Slowly but surely she'd do the same with her cloak, leaving herself bare for the moment. The ugly scar on her neck and the one on her chest were so much more prominent without the red of her cloak that she seemed like a completely different mon.
"Thank you dear. Hopefully they don't give you too much trouble."
The renamon stretched a bit and stood up, cracking her back slightly she'd turn to head towards the shower. Mikemon would of course get to see her back. Which also meant he got to see the ugly scar that was from GraceNovamon. It looked only slightly better, it wasn't bleeding data like the last time he had seen it but it was fairly obvious that K still had some intense damage from that particular event. Almost as though a huge, if not key part of her had been ripped out. Sure the other core he introduced healed her, made her more whole but the GraceNovamon was still a piece of her. It likely suffered in the same event.
The renamon however was completely unaware of the sheer size of the scar or the fact that it was even there as she moved like it simply wasn't. She'd flick her ear and look back at the Mikemon; stopping near the exit of the room which would ultimately lead her to the shower.
"You could take a quick nap you know, help rest your eyes?"

"I even still get lost in Terminus when I have to head out there." Giving a small chuckle, the Mikemon took the gloves in hand, slinging them over his left arm. As the cloak followed, the feline gave it a single fold in both directions, before letting it rest over his shoulder. This, along with his own gloves, would easily go in one wash cycle.
As K turned, the Mikemon's eyes flicked briefly over to her frame. Underneath the Renamon's white fur were a few scars - one from the D-Reaper and one from the forest, which the feline barely noted unless he was looking for them. Much more noticeable, of course, was that prominent scar on her back - a point where the Mikemon had to forcibly integrate a new core into her system, just to keep the fox stable. He could have recoiled at the view, or felt regretful - but why? Grotesque as the mark was, it was a reminder that the fox was both still here and still alive.
The reminder only earned a twitch from the Mikemon's ear, a second one given as she gave that fair point. "Well, I'll get the clothes started first. That said..." He gave a blush, and a chuckle: "Well. 'Mroawr'." He gave a playful swipe of a claw in his direction, before he would step off towards the back.
Well, a load of laundry and a little nap to rest the eyes sounded good enough right now. Heck, when's the last time K's had this much normalcy around?

"I don't know how well I'd be able to handle Terminus. It was... hard to find Guru's place when I went there the first time I'll tell you that."
K let out a small chuckle and continued to stretch, she was still sore from staying in one position for a long time. Her meditation pose had made her muscles bunch up in some places and in others they were far too relaxed. But she'd get them into proper working order given long enough.
The renamon didn't get to see his reaction to her back; she wasn't sure how he felt about her scars. The ones that she knew of at least; she couldn't imagine that he enjoyed looking at them. Had she known about the one on her back, she might of done more to hide it. But with the reaction that the mikemon had to it; a certain sense of pride perhaps? Or perhaps just the fact that yes indeed she was still around; and was happy about that.
"Fair enough... Don't even know what settings they'd need..."
She'd mumble a bit and then feel her face turn bright red at what she heard. K would rub her muzzle and shift awkwardly; how would you respond to that? How could you respond to that. She'd glance back at him, watching him go for a moment before stepping in the shower room.
At first. She spent most of her time simply letting the water run over her, staring at the wall of the shower. She'd look at her hands and gently run them over her body; finding each and every scar. Shuddering as she did so.
The Bite on her neck.
It had been painful and had lead to a somewhat stiff reaction, permanent perhaps? It would make sense.
The Red splotch on her chest.
The explosion that had knocked her out of mega by that thing. Something that she knew how to fight and deal with now. Something she could understand.
The somewhat healed poison marking on her side
A reminder that she was not exempt from the laws of the wilderness. Something that she hadn't known before and now she did thanks to that spider digimon.
A slight bump and rough patch of skin on her right arm
A simple motion as it was, it made her recall that particular train that she had taken back from terminus. It had lead to one of the first combats in her existence.
"I've come a long way. I've done so much, learned so much. Became more than I could or should have... Do I deserve this respite?"
"It's something everyone needs..."
The renamon put her head against the wall, the water running down her back. It made her shudder a bit and she felt herself slipping so that she was 'kneeling' in front of the wall. Still having that water going strong and managing to still catch her back... and her tail.
"I do. Lord knows I do."
"The sovereigns do not listen to such things K... but they would agree."
There was a soft, somewhat unsurprising sound from the shower were the cat to pay attention. The soft sounds of sobbing, she could still remember everything that had happened to this point. But her tears didn't stem just from herself; it stemmed from the pain she had picked up from both Jesmon and Examon. She had made a promise to the Examon. To the Jesmon. Both of which she needed to keep.
"I told you I'd let your wings touch the sky again..."
"And touch the sky you will."
One hand came to her sigil, that was wavering and warping from the water that came on it time after time.
"You taught me so much Jesmon. What am I going to do without you? I'm not a knight, I'm just... Ugh. A fox. In too deep, but too foolish to step out..."
"But you're still strong."
There was a soft chuckle and she'd lean back, letting the water run down her front. Carving through her fur and making her shudder as she could feel it run over the scarring.
"Bah... I think I could go for some mutton. Those humans sure know how to cook... Might have to consider getting them in the know and teaching some chefs or something..."
"It would be nice... He'd enjoy it too."
K bristled a bit, sighing softly as she could distinctly hear her own voice re-assuring her with every step. It was so odd, but it was also the part of the reason her shower took a few hours...

That blush on K's face was the last that he'd see of the Renamon for at least a few hours - and with the sudden heap of clothes in his hand, after the door closed, the cat couldn't help but give a chuckle at the last look on K's face. She really wasn't used to that sort of stuff yet.
At any rate, Renamon gloves and Mikemon gloves weren't all that different, and the Hackmon cloak looked sturdy enough that the color likely wouldn't run. Thus, the rather light load was put into the machine with the normal amount of detergent, and left to run. In a few hours time, they would both have a warm, clean set to put on, but inside, the pair really didn't need to bother with them. The feline figured that the shower would take ten, twenty minutes at most, so the cat did as K suggested: he climbed up on the couch, rested his head against a throw pillow, and dozed off, as the sound of running water pattered in the background.
The sound of heavy rain was all that Mikemon heard, pelting down and bouncing off of the stone path around him. The ordinary crowded markets of Whitewater were all closed up, only a few choice locale showing their lights in this insufferable storm. For the residents, this was nothing out of the ordinary: there had been a mission to clear out a rather problematic beast in the ocean, the consequences of which were going to drench the city.
For a certain wandering Mikemon, however, this was nothing more than the setting of his own mind. The feline hugged the heavy, soaking cloak around his frame, his feet half-drenched in what would amount to a small flood. More than that, though, he felt on-edge. Cold, tired, and frustrated, the feline couldn't help but bare his fangs, a harsh red tint crossing his eye as he trudged his way through town.
"Damn... it..." The cat muttered, coughing under his breath. He stumbled off to the side, his shoulder leaning against a brick wall, as he stumbled into a hacking fit. His frame pulsed with a dark energy, his own core beginning to revolt against his own treatment. But if he let up now?
"Then I'll never be able to go back."
Stamping his feet against the ground, the cat continued his trek through the rain...
"... Ugh..."
Just how long had it been? Slowly, the feline felt himself sit up, his muscles feeling just a bit tight, having been curled up for so long. The sound of the washing machine had long fallen off into the distance, the shower still running - but he didn't seem to note that. Giving a tired blink, he idly glanced at a clock at the other side of the room, piecing together the red numbers that made it up.
"... 10 PM? Can that be right?" Rubbing his eye, he slowly stood up, stretching out his arms. Just how long had K been in there? Should he be worried?

Oh what K could of said to that, what she could of done for some soft comment like that. But she was still completely unused to that sort of thing; she wasn't used to being desirable. It was strange really and she honestly wasn't sure what was endearing about her. it was just so strange to her; in every way shape and form. She wasn't sure how to even address that particular issue either; if it was even an issue at all.
She wasn't aware of the kind of history that mikemon had been through; she wasn't aware the struggles that he had. What sort of hurdles he had crossed to make sure he didn't suffer like that again.
She felt her claws dig into the side of the shower, she'd continue to stare at what amounted to a dim reflection of her white fur. Unable to really see herself; it was sort of strange really... She'd brush her hand through her fur and let out a slow soft but almost frustrated breath.
There were hundreds of memories she didn't really understand, hundreds of things she didn't know and hundreds of things she was still sorting through. The meditation had completed it's duty and gotten her the keys along with getting the data from those three cores to condense. But there was so much she had to admit at this point she was feeling lost.
Slowly, gently; the renamon slipped back down from standing. Pressing her head against the wall with one hand still somewhat above her. The other limply laying on the shower bed as water continued to pour over her. It had long since went from warm to cold at this point, but every now and again she'd get a small burst of hot water.
There was so much knowledge here, so much that she didn't know and couldn't of known. It was somewhat overwhelming and at the center of all.. Was her. It was certainly a frustrating sense of right over the wrong she had felt when the core had left her.
A blast of cold water made the renamon shudder and she'd reach over to turn off the faucet. But only ended up placing her hand just on the mechanism to turn it. She sat there for what felt like hours; bleakly staring at the wall still.
Just what am I...?

... Yup, that clock was right. Taking a brief look out of the window, the Mikemon shook his head, giving a 'tsk' between his fangs. It was three hours later, the water was still running - and he hadn't heard a peep out of K at all. Was she alright? Did she fall?
The more the cat thought about it, the more he was concerned. Quickly stepping up from the couch, Mikemon made his way to the back of the room. If he had shown up earlier, he would have known just how much she was suffering, mentally, holed up in her own head - but right now, there wasn't a single noise that would pick up over the water. Right now, the cat could only guess what had happened:
"K! Are you alright in there?" Mikemon's voice would cut through - and before he even had a moment to think, he'd pull open the door. Through the curtain, he'd see the Renamon's silhouette, soaked from the hours-long shower, now leaning on over that faucet. At the moment, she seemed frozen in place... and even just from this, the cat started to figure out what was going on.
He paused, slowly stepping into that room, the humid air sinking into his fur. "... Are..."
"A... are you alright?"

K had no idea how long had passed, what the outside world was currently dealing with or that the mikemon had woken up. She was barely aware of the water running down her back, across her neck and down her front. Were she paying attention properly the water was freezing cold at this point. But it wasn't like she was too bothered by that normally, she had felt colder waters.
There was a continual slow trailing of her hand until it fell limply to the ground. A long trio of scratches against the wall; ever so light in pressure but they bore ugly resemblance to a scar she knew nothing about. She'd exhale slowly; shaking her head as she tried to run through these memories that she didn't know. These feelings she didn't know, rummaging around in her head felt strange all of a sudden.
"...."
Only silence greeted his first question, and the humid air seemed to billow outwards as the Mikemon entered. Away from the source of the cold and escaping into the room tha the had come from. It wasn't hard to see her; it wasn't hard to see something was the matter. Her pose said it all but yet the question still arose.
She'd bring a slow hand to her muzzle, letting out a sharp exhalation at his question. The fact the cat was closer was somehow relieving. But she was dealing with so much at the moment she wasn't quite certain how. Slowly, almost clumsy did she turn off the shower and attempt to stand up only to pull the curtain open by mistake. Her fur looked water logged and the renamon certainly was out of sorts. Soft Ice blue eyes looked out from in-between her fur that had covered most of her eyes.
"No... I don't... Think.. So..."

K didn't need to answer.
As soon as that curtain opened, revealing her drenched body, hidden eyes, and shaky posture, it became quite clear that K had not been alright - and perhaps hadn't been for some time. Seeing her like this, Mikemon clenched his paws. It was only natural that she was suffering - with everything she'd been through - but how had the doctor been so blind to it up until now?
No... no, that didn't matter. Calming his gritted teeth, the Mikemon took a step forward, stepping up to the side of the shower. It didn't matter that K was drenched from head to toe. He simply stepped forward, and reached his arms around the Renamon, in as tight a hug as he could manage. He was quiet for a moment, simply trying to piece together his thoughts.
Eventually, he settled on something:
"C'mon, let's dry off, and settle back down on the couch. It... might be a bit much to ask, but I want to hear everything that's bothering you." He wasn't the best with words, but his tone was level, respectful, and warm.
"I'm here. My ears are yours."

K stared at mikemon with sullen eyes, drooping ears and slightly slouching shoulders. She'd inhale as though she was going to speak but then came something that she wasn't expecting. Especially because she was wet and she knew of the innate hatred of water that many cat type digimon had. Perhaps that was a trait shared by them from the animal counterparts in the human world or something like that. But it mattered little in the sense that... well.
He hugged her, which made that breath slowly escape and she'd slowly. Shakily hug him back, setting her head on his shoulder and she could feel her expression darken a little bit. This was supposed to be them happy, this was supposed to be them relaxing and enjoying one another's time... but it just was turning into a mess again wasn't it? Because of her.. her... Problems...
The renamon let out a small shaky sigh and tightly hugged the mikemon for as long as he'd let her at this point. Her ears flicking slightly as he spoke. Suggesting that they dry off; that they go to the couch and she share all the things that were bothering her.
Then even going so far as saying that his ears were hers. She'd let out another breath and gently pat the mikemon's back.
"A... All right... I swear.. I'm just a bloody mess still..."
The renamon of course, went about drying herself off. It was a long process considering that she had soaked in so much water and the humid air in the bathroom wasn't really helping. She moved sluggishly; contemplatively. Staring quietly at her hands from time to time as though she didn't recognize them before jolting and going back to drying herself off. She'd even give the mikemon a hand if he let her...
The renamon eventually took a seat on the couch, her fur seeming much much much cleaner. She had after all washed it quite a few times; hell the entire last half of the bottle had been used and she looked positively pristine. But that didn't stop her from sitting there; wringing her hands a bit. How could she start? The renamon let out a shaky breath and slowly brought a hand to her neck...
"...I... Don't know how to start..."

Well, sure, Mikemon didn't necessarily like having his fur weighed down, but at this point, it was the furthest thing from his mind. Right now, K was suffering, and he wasn't going to let his own preferences get in the way.
Right now, all that mattered to him was that she wasn't alone for this. It would take some time to get dry - longer for her than him, so she really wouldn't have a chance to help - but soon enough, they'd be settled right on the couch. As K looked down, the Mikemon rested a careful paw atop her leg, ready to listen to whatever she had to say.
But K wasn't ready to speak. In fact, she didn't know where to start. It would have been simple for the Mikemon to simply wait until she was ready... but after a few moments, the feline gave a sigh, his ears flicking down as they rested somewhat more flatly. A moment later, his voice broke through the silence:
"All those years ago - when I left the Dark Area to avoid being hunted by the Knights - well, I wasn't concerned with what I left behind. Friends, allies, wealth... its not that I didn't care, its that I didn't have the time to think about it. No, in order to even survive, I had to keep looking for the next step."
He sighed, shaking his head. "Find another place to go into hiding. Try and find a way to mask my aura. Keep tabs on the patrols, and move from place to place every so often. Up until I finally found my own answer, there wasn't an ounce of regret or hesitation in my heart: there was simply the task, what I had to do to move head. To survive, to press on. And eventually, I found it: a way to change myself down to this mere form. Once I found it, once I mastered it, I felt relief, and hope for my new life as a doctor."
The Mikemon paused, before clutching his paw over his chest.
"... Then it hit me, all at once, that this was my life. That I had built it on so many, and left my entire army at risk in the Dark Area. Would I ever hear from them again? Why did I make that choice to save myself? Was what I did really worth it?" He shook his head, gritting his teeth: "I had no-one to confide it, no evidence that I should even exist. My earlier patients noticed a quick drop in my demeanor, and before long, I was that sleepy cat who didn't take anyone but the most interesting of patients - the only ones that might distract from what happened to me. It..."
He sighed, once more. "It wasn't until I met you, that I realized just what it was that I should do. Not just for you, but what I could do as a doctor."
The cat sighed, shaking his head again: "I... I guess my point is, that I'm not going to say what I went through was the same. But I went through it alone, and it almost destroyed me as a person. I might not be able to provide everything you need... but I don't want you to experience that same pain."

K felt her breath escaping her, coming in again and leaving just as quickly. It was difficult to get a grasp on what was truly bothering her sometimes. But she could add up many different things and it just seemed like a limitless amount of weight she had to deal with. The hand on her leg only made her smile softly and the renamon slowly placed her hand on top of his for a moment.
Her ear flicked and she'd look to the mikemon. Listening to him without saying a word to him. Everything as he said it made sense to her; ranging from the avoiding the knights when he left the dark area to his desire to survive.. To a few other things that easily made sense to her. They lined up with desires of her own, understanding someone elses desires and linking them with a way to understand them often made things easier to interact right?
His story even as short as it seemed, made her feel pangs of sadness for him. He had to give up something that could of changed the whole digital world for the chance of surviving. He made his choice in the end and could she honestly blame him? No. No she could not. Given the same place and the same problems she would of done the same. Perhaps a little differently but in the end they both would of ended up in about roughly the same bin.
The renamon watched him quietly still; flicking her ears as he spoke about her of all things. That he could do more than what he had before; that he could help her and make sure that she wouldn't have to go through this alone. There was a softness in her eyes and before long she was hugging him tightly pushing her head against his for a moment before returning to her normal sitting position. She looked happy for a moment before sighing softly.
"My. Memories are warping. My emotions are warping. I'm remembering things from three separate lives, feeling things from three separate lives."
The renamon rubbed her muzzle and gave a little huff.
"It's... getting really hard to understand where I'm from, where I was coming from. How I'm supposed to do the things I wanted to. But with every memory that I don't know, all the harder hitting ones push themselves to the surface again."
She'd reach up and tap the bite mark; wincing slightly as there was a soft bit of tenderness to it still. She wasn't sure if it was ever going to fully and properly heal.
"Every failure of mine is a trifle to the memories I'm given of the others. Every emotion of mine seems to be.. pushed. Further away from me. I feel like I don't deserve a respite for one. Like I... Ugh.."
The renamon put a hand to her head and let out a struggling breath of air.
"I don't have guidance from the others anymore. Even if I have a new 'spirit' inside of me I don't know how to talk to them yet. I don't know how to deal with this overwhelming difference of what is what, who is what or what to do about anything either."
The renamon shook her head a little bit and gripped her muzzle tightly.
"The only reason I'm not a mess right now is because of those keys. But I can feel things slipping and changing. I don't know how to address those. What to even.. Do. I don't. What do you think I should do Mikemon?"

Of course it wasn't easy for K - how could it be? But at the very least, it seemed that Mikemon's words managed to reach her. The Doctor was a little surprised by K's hug, but quickly moved to return it, holding carefully around the Renamon's back, nuzzling his head against the side of her's. They held this for a few moments, a small smile shared between them.
Though it was hard, at the very least, K was finally able to express her concerns - and they were of a much different sort than the cat's own. The Renamon was dealing not just with her own struggles, but for those entire Digimon she had accepted into her core. Examon's entire reign and Jesmon's entire line of knighthood all laid heavily in her mind, along with her own trials and tests. She had everything about them, except for what mattered:
Their desires. Their advice. Their words. They had all fallen silent to her, voices that she likely had long before she even knew they were there in full. And without them, she wasn't sure if she could keep it together - she wasn't sure what she could do, what she was supposed to do, or even if what she was doing right now was right.
"... I'm not going to lie. Jesmon and Examon were both incredible figures, ones willing to do everything for you in the end. That you feel this way for them, well..."
The cat smiled. "You're incredibly kind. But spurring yourself to immediate action isn't going to help you - nor them - in the long term." Carefully resting a hand at her side, the doctor gave a nod: "You have time to think, to talk with me and others, and to seek out the answers you want. Heck, even part of this respite can be used to help you on your first steps. No-one is saying this is going to be easy, but..."
"Well. I'm here for you."
