[Career] Home By The Sea (Digital Field Club Members)

Well, hadn't this been a huge letdown? Everyone had just walked away from the offer of having a beach day! While that probably would've been a deterrent for the actual reason why they were here, Amelie couldn't but feel a little disappointed; in fact, the digimons actually seemed to be more keen on the idea that the humans! Was this world really upside down? Or being a spirit user had altered her way of thinking into theirs.

Nah, couldn't be. Dismissing the thought right away, she just smiled at Dorothy. While wasn't going to question what she was going to do with it, somebody showing interest was something she wouldn't dismiss! "As long as you mean to actually use them, feel free!" The thought of the Witchmon wearing a swimsuit was actually super cute.

Leaving the drawer there so Dorothy could pick one she liked, the brunette looked at Miyu with a... bit of a strange expression. Was she supposed to tease her or to feel sympathy for the lack of swimming abilities? Maybe a bit of both! "You know, that's not how you tease somebody correctly! It's going to backfire every time." She mentioned with a bit of a teasing tone herself. "That's why we'll make sure to teach you how to swim, then you'll be able to make funny remarks at Haru all you want. Won't that be great? I'm sure you'll become a great swimmer if you try."

Dorothy's question was taken in some time afterward. Tawna was more or less right, even though she couldn't help to add a bit to it. "Yup, she's right." Amy nodded, bringing out her D-Tector so the Witchmon could observe that it was a bit different than the normal digivice. "Don't have a digimon partner with me, and probably never will. I don't know. Do you think that's unlucky or not?"

Was that an attempt to make as they walked towards their destination? Maybe! "And what about you, Usako-sensei. Do you like swimsuits? I'm sure you'd look nice on one!"

With any luck, they'd reach their destination soon enough, even though she had to admit that the general awkwardness displayed by pretty much every human that wasn't Alice was a bit amusing. "Let's get going, then! Would hate to let your dad waiting, Mizu. Hope he's as cool as you!"

Haru was still pink like a peach visibly, but it was clear that iwas more just the overall direction of the conversation that led to this. At least she wasn't complete the only one who was somewhat like this (except Mizu, but Haru was getting used to that Mizu was definitely very provacative or glamorous, perhaps a bit of both).

"Hey, I don't blame Miyu not knowing how to swim! My sis took till she was like a teen to learn how!" she ended up adding on to the conversation, not terribly surprised that the chinese girl never learned how. Everyone had their own lil' weird flaws after all! While Haru was not actually mad at Amelie (they were too nice to get angry at), she wasn't willing to just sit there and not express that she was willing to get even. "Oh I'm gonna press ALL of your buttons later once I find some good fuel off you Amy-chan. Just you know it!" she ended up scoffing, a playful look in her eyes as she smiled all cat-like.

Amelie was... unique to say the least. As the club's sole Spirit Wielder, they faced very different challenges unlike all the other members. Still, Haru didn't see this as a bad thing (even if their forms definitely leaned on the scary side, but so did Tawna's). "Nah, I don't think its unlucky... Spirit Wielders got advantages over us Tamers, and vice-versa!" she ended up reassuring the brunette, though soon opted to fill in the details for Alice since they didn't seem to catch on WHY Amelie didn't need a partner. "Amy can temporarily become a Digimon, so she's in a way her own partner! That's why she isn't like the rest of us."

Haru was admittingly a bit stunned by the sudden change of clothes by Dorothy... literally a blink and you'll miss moment. She actually didn't even KNOW that those clothes could come off, but here they were... now seeing a lot of Witchmon skin (even if they were funnily enough still wearing their hat and gloves. "... W-wow."

You know, for a digital demon woman with shark teeth... actually looked really cute. Not that she'd say that... that would be just weird.

Tawna seemed to only view Dorothy's lil' sudden changing session with mild disinterest. As someone who was bare naked normally anyway, a change of clothes wasn't exactly a gamechanger in her book. She at least could relate to Alice in preferring they get back to the main subject of research. "I'm not sure what the big fuss is all about, but we should focus on the subject matter at hand. Should we get moving?"

Haru frankly had to admit, the quicker they got out of this conversation, the better. "Look, you'd understand if you had... actually nevermind." she caught herself, sighing slightly to herself. "Okay... We're ready."

The floating Calcumon looked up from the book she was reading as Amy was addressing her.
"Hm? Me? Well, to be honest, I have never tried it before. I am not very good with water, being a machine and all."
She then rubbed her chin.
"But certainly, I would not be against the notion."

Mizu grinned as Amy talked about her dad.
"Hehehehe, yeah! My dad is the best and coolest guy! You'll all love him!~"
She then waddled on ahead, to catch up with Yukiko.

Once they had reached the lagoon, Yukiko addressed her group.
"A-a-a-ah! W-w-we're here! N-n-now we just got to wait!"
"Oh, Oh, I'll go get him, then you can all change into your beach gear!~"
Before Yukiko could object Mizu already dove into the ocean, leaving her flustered.

"I don't make things appear outta thin air, what do I look like, some kinda furniture vendor?" Dorothy looks to the spirit warrior with a cackling laugh until she recalls what was said about potentially teaching Amelie how to do such things, her tone shifting to become a bit more serious for a moment. "I can't tell ya how. Supposed to be secret. Imagine how weird Greeny would get with sorcery. Somethin' about curiosity killing cats, I dunno." The witch Digimon decides to stay out of the water for now, seeming a bit too nervous to actually take a dip yet.

Alice, on the other hand, simply looks to Amelie and Haru with a slight nod for each of them. "So it is some sort of uncommon... Thing." Alice takes out her notebook from her bag, and takes a look at the ocean, the soft waves licking away at the shore and the sway of the sparse trees not too far away. "You know, I'm probably going to stay dry. Too much effort to get changed."

Spotting Mizu out in the water, Alice takes a few steps closer to the shore before sitting down on the sand, carefully of course. She glances to Yukiko, and smiles faintly. "Don't worry. She's probably just calling her parent over. Care to look over a few of the notes I've made before I joined the club? I think you might be interested, though they're mostly just speculation about things I've seen and done." The green haired tamer takes a long look at the ocean before glancing back to Yukiko. "Don't worry, my notes are waterproof."

It seems that all french knows how to play the teasing game, should Miyu warn Haru about it? Nah, it would be more fun to see the gogglehead trying to push Amelie's buttons and failing horribly, she could feel bad for her friend later, anything to not draw more attention to her nule swimming skills.

"I wonder too how digimon parenthood works, all I know is that you guys appear as an egg in the village of begginings, we should ask Mikemon abut it, he's a doctor after all" said the chinese girl with a smile that faded as soon as Tawna mention how human babies "born", Miyu could only look at Haru with a bit of a shocked expression. "Wh-what did you told her...?" One thing was for sure, Haru did not use the birds and the bees for her explanation...

Bloom on the other hand was still focused on Amelie, she loved that headpat, she felt a little sad about Amy's comment of wondering how does it feel to have a partner and that ultimately it wasn't possible.

"Like I said I can be your part time partner, or at least really good friends that hang out together from time to time, Miyu won't be jelaus, right Miyu?" The Palmon turned to her partner looking at her almost with begging eyes like if she found a puppy and wanted to keep it.

"Sure, I don't mind as long as Amelie doesn't" Said the chinese girl and Palmon didn't lose time to focus again on Amelie. "See? You won't be alone!"

There was one positive and one negative thing about this whole deal. The positive? Everyone seemed to be super encouraging about Amelie's inability to acquire a digimon partner. The Negative? Talk about people being party poopers! If the teenager's fake pouting face was an indication of how she felt at the moment, it was definitely not entertained. But then again, wasn't she getting a little bit demanding? She wasn't entirely sure, in all honesty.

"Oh well. I guess we'll have to wait for the magic lesson. Mayyybe down the line, when Alice isn't looking! Take that'd be fun, wouldn't it?"

Understandably, the group was more focused on investigating than on having fun at the beach. That was reasonable, but... a bit boring, in a sense; after all, the two could be done at the same time! "Seems like I'm the only one taking a dip, sides Mizu? That's a bit of a pity, yanno? I can promise that water won't kill you or anything of the sort. Well, maybe Tawna won't like it given she's a cat, and plants tend to wither with saltwater unless they're algae so I wouldn't be so sure about Bloom either..." Now she was taking a pensive expression, even if the brunette shook her head right away! It wasn't her job to make excuses for others, after all.

"What I mean is that... we'll have fun! Come on, don't tell me you haven't been on a beach before; water's pretty fun."

Last attempt, period; if everyone else insisted on remaining on land, there was no point in trying to insist. One thing that the brunette wasn't gonna do, either, was to get involved into Tawna and Miyu's conversation on how babies came to be. For some reason, that didn't sound like the... most productive endeavor. Instead, she just decided to smile at Bloom.

Really, could the Palmon be more of a sweetheart? Somehow, that seemed highly doubtful. "Alright, I mean, if everyone's fine with it... I guess you can be my part-time partner." She wasn't sure why, but that reminded her of a song from Stevie Wonder.

Not like Amy could make a remark about it, given the giant plesiosaurus-like being that showed up. Her mouth now slightly agape at the majestic creature in front of her, she just stared at him for a couple of seconds before breaking her reverie, and waving him with a smile. "Hello, Mizu's dad! Name over here's Amelie; pleased to meet you!" It came to her on that instant that Mizu's dad was probably not a name. "Do you have a name? It'd be nice to know it!"

The brunette couldn't but smirk a bit teasingly at the show of embarrassment that followed suit, though; that was pretty cute. "Don't worry! There's probably no one changing into their swimsuit besides me, anyway! And I have it under my clothes so it's fine!"

Now, she had to wonder, now that Mizu's dad was here... what were they gonna do?

Haru's face blushed heavily as Miyu pretty accurately reacted to Tawna's... interesting interpretation of human reproduction. "I didn't tell her anything! She doesn't even know how to read!" the girl squeaked, giving her partner an awkward look.

"It was a theory." the Ultimate level softly shrugged, it seeming that her idea was off from what it actually was. Seems she'd just have to look into it herself another time. The Meicrackmon Vicious Mode did give Amelie an impish smile though, amused slightly at the Spirit Wielder. "Oh don't worry... I like water ~"

Soon enough though, a VERY large figure arose from the water down below... A Digimon resembling a white loch ness monster appeared before them all, though their voice was gentle and serene. They were even gentlemanly enough to try and turn away for them all in case they still needed to change! How chivalrous! "Oh! Thank you mister, but we should be all good!" she laughed, able to at least see how someone as sweet as Mizu could have a role model like this guy! She was already working on at least trying to get an idea of what kind of Digimon he was from her scanner, it always exciting to see a new species (especially one that was friendly).

Tawna did seem... mildly intimidated by the presence of the Plesiomon X, but purely because they were a Mega level. Then again, their mannerisms were very unthreatening.... but it still didn't give her terribly much comfort. The Ultimate level, seemed to visibly retreat behind Haru, her tendrils and tail closer to her side as they almost seemed to try and make themselves look as small as possible. Considering they were the second largest Digimon, taller than any of the humans here... it just came off as silly-looking.
