In all honesty, this place was nothing short of amazing; Amelie couldn't but gaze around and marvel at the many sights around her; so many digimon around! It almost seemed like its own ecosystem, and that was both surprising and awe-inspiring.
Slowly, she got off Watatsumi's back and gazed with unbound curiosity at everyone around her; it was true that some digimon were on the shy side of the spectrum, and probably showing them that she wasn't going to harm anyone was the way to go. Eventually, she guessed the denizens of this small cove would calm down, and even a Syakomon drew closer to her.
A smile and some friendly gestures later, the shellfish-like digimon was resting on her lap, a small smile on their green face as she gently rubbed his head.
"I have a question if you don't mind, Mr. Watatsumi." The girl inquired, a bit puzzled. "Don't get me wrong. By all means, this place is amazing and it's really great that young digimon can grow in a loving environment. But... is this really that needed? Is the Digital World that... merciless?"
Considering this was a high secret that they swore to keep, she could guess the answer, but a more in-depth explanation on the why would really be appreciated.

"...I assume it is, in some places." Alice states to Amelie with a slight sigh and a shrug as she looks around the sand and palm trees of the secret place, leaning on one such tree while keeping a close eye on Dorothy, not exactly trusting her with other Digimon that much. Still knowing so little about her own partner makes the emerald haired woman a little bit on edge, but with so many people here, it isn't quite as bad as it could be. Not to mention that Alice wasn't the one being asked. "Sorry for cutting in like that... I need to stop thinking out loud, sometimes."
And it does seem like Dorothy is attracting attention, with at least three Rookie Digimon swarming her as if she's unusual, making comments about her current outfit and how she's not the kind of thing most Digimon would see here. Some even seem a little afraid of her, such as a Gomamon peeking from behind a rock. "...Hey, what's the big idea? Ya guys think I'm weird or something?" When one of the other Digimon nods, her face goes bright red for just a moment, and she heads back to Alice's side, seeming a bit quiet, and the tamerless Digimon follow her a bit.
The green haired woman already has her notebook back out, drawing the group of smaller Digimon around Dorothy, a slight sigh coming from her. "Just be happy they aren't asking for magic tricks."
"Hey! Don't give 'em ideas!" Dorothy snaps back with a joking, jovial anger, the kind between close friends.

[Exiting the thread due to lack of muse and general inactivity. Good luck, folks!] All things had to come to an end, however; even if that end was abrupt. Suddenly, Amelie's D-Terminal began to beep, prompting the brunette to bring her out just to check what was up.
She sighed at the contents of the message. Apparently, there was a problem with the newspaper regarding the last article she had written; the editor wasn't all that happy about it and requested her immediate presence in Terminus.
And just when she had begun to have fun, to boot! Oh well; with any luck, the rest of the club would understand? Even though she barely knew them, everything had been kinda smooth thus far despite this... small road bump.
The teenager would try to get Yukiko's attention for a sec, and after she did... "Hey, Yuki! I need to run real fast; hopefully, that's fine." Her tone denoted a measure of regret, but also a bit of urgency to it. "I'm really sorry, but I wanted to let you know I had a lot of fun!"
After the girl's inevitable response, Amy would proceed to fiddle with her digivice a bit, wait for the eventual portal to make its appearance in front of her, wave goodbye to everyone within sight and then enter it.
A shame indeed, but there wasn't a lot she could do about it. That's just how life if. [Exit Thread]
