Save him (W/ Ravenna, Cole) [Career]

Chie was running through the forest, frantically worried for her digimon partner. It had been less then a day since the two were separated. Looking around, she was frantically out of breath as she had spent the better half of the day searching for him, her guilt was overwhelming her heart. Leaning against a tree, she was exhausted, running around with extra weight. She looked at the horn sticking out of her purse, with her digivice trashed she had lost many options before losing Do. First off she lost her digiport access, so even with Do still around she wouldn't have much help either way. Second, without acting as storage, she had no choice but to lug around the Digimental of Honor and Kuzahamon: Miko mode's Shakujou. Thirdly, she had no choice but to chase down Do, if she left the Digital world somehow now, she probably wouldn't come back or be able to look herself in the mirror ever again.
Sliding down to a seated position, she couldn't help but bury her face in her knees as she wrapped her arms around her legs as she took a minute to breath. Do was out of her league to track anything beyond basic habits. Do instinctively wanders these woods before, so to assume he would return once more would be like an artist returning to his easel. Drifting her eyes towards the jagged horn, she couldn't help but shed a tear, could she have saved Do if she forced him through the pain? Neither option seemed right to Chie, but now she doesn't have him at all.
"Do... Where are you?"
Meanwhile elsewhere in the forest, Do was running through the woods, hoping to get so deep that no one will find him ever again. He couldn't bear to look at Chie again after how she betrayed him. He opened himself to her but then she hid his memories from him, kept him thinking his late partner was alive, she stabbed him through the soul. However he was not looking down, he had payed attention to the terrain and missed the downward slope up ahead and slid down the hill.
Rolling headfirst down the hill, the DORUmon bounced between hitting his head and tail off various roots, rocks, and the occasional spiked digimon down the hill. "Ouch, oh dear lord! Why's a Tunomon not falling like me! Ouch!"
Do landed on his front groggily as he slowly got up. "Wow Do, you look like crap."
Do heard the familiar voice and soon looked up to see a teenage boy wearing what appeared to be jeans, combat boots, a Grey muscle shirt and a black long coat. Do's eyes started to water at the sight. "Takashi..."
OOC note: Takashi, whatever he may be, is only visible and audible to Do, hence the italics
Also note, while I mentioned Career, specifically Ravenna's career.

Ah, back to the Server Woods. This is where Ravenna had first traveled to when she came to the Digital World for the first time. It didn't seem like that long ago, but so much has happened to the young college track athlete since then. It was after she finished her business here last time that she met her boyfriend Cole before she returned to Shibuya. This time, she has received word from a client about a missing... Digimon? Well, it might be a lot heavier than what she is used to returning, but lost is lost.
Ravenna flies through the air in her Psycrowmon form, soaring above the tree tops. She heads towards the meeting point to speak further with Miss Takamoto. Cole would also be joining her on this assignment. As she approaches the meeting point, Ravenna perches on a nearby tree, looking down and seeing Chie. She appears to be sulking. Raye's clients were often in a state of duress, having lost something very important to them.
Ravenna swoops down towards Chie, landing in an open patch of grass. The Psycrowmon returns to human form. Ravenna appears, wearing a black dress with long white gloves, black boots and black and white striped socks up to her pale thighs. Her dark hair has an undeniable tint of blue to it, almost shoulder length, with a hairpin on the left side to keep it out of her face. Ravenna shows the young woman a look of concern.
"Hey there. I'm Ravenna, founder and CEO of Nevermore Recovery Service. Though it's just me, and sometimes my boyfriend helps as well."
Probably not the best time to talk about her boyfriend, but Ravenna is going to tell everyone she can. Just being away from Cole for a brief moment felt like she was the one lost.
"He should be on his way now."
Ravenna smiles nervously. She adjusts her dress around the waist, having already put on a few pounds since she bought it. One would think all that flying would burn off the calories.

The rumbling echo unmistakable for anything other then a motorcycle could slowly be heard fading into existence from a distance, to anyone familiar with the man, this was an undeniable call sign that Cole was coming into an area. He'd gotten a text a while ago from Ravenna, saying she had a case that sort of eluded her typical job. Ravenna ran her business for finding lost items for people--Cole had even helped her on a case before. But this time it wasn't an item that was lost, it seemed...luckily for both Raye and her client, Cole and Tsuki was becoming quite a duo for tracking. Tsuki was already a naturally gifted tracker, and frankly, her skills have been rubbing off on her jade eye'd partner.
But now being in the server woods, he'd have to keep to a slow pace, the sound of the engine came to a simple idle as he coasted slowly down a dirt path. He knew he was told to meet Ravenna out here, but not too many details. Luckily he'd happen to spot the female off in the distance, standing beside another figure whom curled up against a tree. 'There they are...well that was easier then I feared...' he thought to himself. He'd pull in the clutch of his bike and let it come to a stop a good ways away, hopping off of his ride before he'd go ahead and activate the digi-structure feature. This of course let him 'download' the data of his bike straight to his Digivice, it simply disappearing right into the man's pocket.
He'd tug his biker goggles down, along with the bandanna he'd use to protect his face when riding, letting both hang from his neck loosely as he'd approach the two girls. The man had on a pair of black jeans today, little different then his usual blues--but his belt and all its utilities all remained, of course his V-Pet hung from his key chain off the belt loop on his right hip. His torso was layered with two shirts, a sleeveless black muscle shirt, tightly hugging his fit body, and over it left open was a button up shirt, black and bright blue plaid, adding color to his more dark color scheme today.
His steel toe'd boots kept him at a steady pace as he approached the girls, one who knew very well, the other he didn't know at all. Did Raye's text even give a client name? Probably not. Cole would slow his approach once he got closer, going ahead and coming to a stop fairly short of the duo--it seemed Ravenna must've just arrived too and he wanted to give her and the client space, simply giving a small wave to Ravenna before slipping his hands into his pockets--thumbs hooked over the edges of said pockets as he stood, remaining quiet for now. Sure, he wanted to go over and give Ravenna a hug, say hi, but simple body language reading told the man Chie was upset...so he gave them the space for now. But something did cross Cole's mind as he looked over to Raye...something to do with the fact he thought she looked very good in the dress she was in--something he never seen her in yet.

Seeing the human girl approach her from the corner of her eye, Chie stuck her head back out of her knees as she was approached. Slowly, she got back onto her feet as she didn't want to let the last few moments show as she wiped dead leaves off the back of her blouse briefly. "Oh, thanks for coming. I didn't expect anyone to show up much less the whole company, after all, who'd believe a mentally unstable digimon didn't kill their human partner instead of just run away."
Chie took a moment again to recollect herself, being abandoned in the middle of no where was an experience she did not enjoy and left some wounds that needed to be talked about. She reached into her purse to fish for her phone, but accidently cut her wrist off the Digimental of Honor. "Ouch!"
Pulling the whole egg out for a moment, she reached for her first aid kit before bandaging the cut. "Sorry, just been in a stream of bad luck since the incident. My digimon, Do, he's presently a DORUmon and defining features include a chain around his neck with an old digivice, and his metal based abilities. Even if he doesn't use them, his saliva still turns to metal."
Realizing she was going out of order she started to panic inside, worrying about how this will go down, and if she made the right decision. She felt panic settle in. "Excuse me if I'm a bit of wreck, just a lot happened. I don't know where to start."
Meanwhile Do was awestruck as he was reunited with his long lost partner. He ran to tackle him to give him a hung but to his surprise, he went right through Takeshi. "What just happened?" Takashi turned around nonchalantly as he looked at the Dorumon's confused expression. "Sorry, still dead. Now I thought I could rest, but unfortunately you did not make it easy for the next guy apparently." Do gritted his teeth as he recalled Takashi's successor. Wondering what he meant by leaving it to the next guy. "Next girl. You got replaced by a girl." Takashi raised an eyebrow. Figuring from Do's reaction that something went wrong, horribly if Do wasn't talking his ear off or saying something idiotic. "Talk to me. What went wrong."
Do's claws clenched into a fist as he couldn't even bear himself to think of Chie in any light right now as an emotional torrent errupted. "What went wrong! Everything! That bitch lied to me about you, she knew all along and strung me along to use me like a god damn puppet!" Takashi shrugged but then suddenly recalled Do was talking about a girl "Wait, you got a chick now? Is she hot?" Do's eyebrow twitched at the focus. He knew for better or worse this was indeed Takashi he was speaking too, but didn't really care for that verification. "Seriously! You're dead and you're still a womanizer?"

Ravenna could hear Cole's motorcycle blazing through the forest. She couldn't help but smile knowing that he was close. Chie looks up at her as Raye approaches, and later she reaches into her bag, cutting herself on a Digimental. Fortunately, it looks like she has first aid experience.
Cole rides in on his motorcycle, stopping a bit away while Ravenna speaks with the client. He stands there with his hands in his pockets. Ravenna waves over towards him. She looks forward to seeing the twins Tsuki and Kuyo.
"I hope he likes my dress."
The nature of this case was quite shocking indeed. Do, a DORUmon had ran away, but apparently, they had a violent history involving their previous Tamer. Ravenna asks Chie for more information on this case.
"Hmm, why did he run away? Is this where you think he would run off to?"
Ravenna takes out her D-tector and scans the area for data signals. Just a few blips on the radar that appear to be wild Digimon here in the forest.
"Maybe I can lock onto the Digivice hanging from around his neck. Do you know anything about this Digivice?"
After Ravenna learns more about the case, she looks over at Cole and motions for him to come on over.
"Look at him. He must he feeling shy. Get your butt over here."
The first time Raye had come to this forest, there were bandits kidnapping Digimon and setting fires. Even if they had left the area, there were still plenty of dangers lurking under the cover of the trees. It wasn't far from here that Nero lured her and Cole into his layer for a night of mind games and battling. Ravenna gives Chie a reassuring look.
"Don't worry. I'll do whatever I can to find Do and return him to you."
It's a good thing she didn't add the phrase "Dead or Alive" to the end of that sentence. She's a counter-thief, not a bounty hunter.

The bike riding 'Digidestined' would have arrived in time it seemed to hear the info as Chie would talk to Ravenna. Cold had remained a bit away, still in earshot, giving them their space. He'd noticed Chie end up cutting herself when digging through her purse, it would almost make Cole want to wince just knowing it probably hurt--luckily it seemed Chie also had first aid equipment in her purse.
Cole had remained quiet, and keeping his distance, but it'd seem Ravenna had other ideas, she motioned for Cole to come closer, telling the man to 'get your butt over here'...this shifted Cole's neutral look to one of question, him blinking a coupe times in rapid succession. He'd go ahead and do it though, letting his feet carry him over to the two girls, coming over to stand near Ravenna, letting his attention fall on the client.
If Ravenna didn't make Cole seem tall, being nearly half a foot shorter then him, then Chie definitely made Cole look tall, the man towered almost a foot above the teenager. But as Ravenna could attest to, Cole was a gentle giant, he was mostly harmless. For a brief moment Cole glanced around, he wasn't to happy to be back in the Server Woods...Him and Raye's crazy night in Nero's 'Fun House' made sure Cole would remain weary of these woods forever it seemed.
Cole's eyes shifted over to Ravenna, just a moment taking in her appearance in the dress. Yeah, he liked it--he wouldn't say it just yet, but at some point surely he'd let her know. He would move his position once more, just a bit of an extra step, so he could stand behind Raye and pull his arms over her, crossing to softly embrace her for a quick moment, pulling her back against his chest as he did so. While hugging Ravenna, he'd look over to Chie--he had an idea what was going on now, and after hearing her speak it gave Cole an idea. "I hate to interrupt but, do you have anything of your partners that could have his scent on it?" asked Cole, finally speaking up after being quiet this whole time. A voice followed his question, emitted from his V-Pet. "If you have something with his smell on it I can track him down. Also helllllooo..." spoke Tsuki's voice, the last bit a bit quieter but still somewhat cheery. Kuyo remained quiet within the device, Tsuki had convinced her brother this could be an emotional situation and to just keep his mouth shut.

While the boyfriend Ravenna mentioned approached, Chie looked over to greet him, she was grateful for the help but she couldn't help but wish he'd either do something or stop checking out his own girlfriend in front of others. However binding her closer to him was not exactly on her list of professional responses, her confidence slightly wavered as it seemed only the lady had the professionalism of the two in Chie's eyes. Letting those thoughts slide by, Chie quickly drifted back to the subject of the digivice. "I don't know much about the Digivice Do carries, it belonged to his former partner. Last I checked, it was dead, doesn't work. I had a D3 model that got, destroyed under the circumstances of my assault by a Devidramon, overload from dark digivolution, and a cave crashing down on it."
However for the subject of something to track, Chie realized that other than potentially her own clothes, which would be annoying to even try and find a trace, would be the only objects that she has that he touched. She pulled out the Digimental of Honor and the Shakujou as she placed them on the ground, figuring a digimon would appear to smell them. "This is the Digimental of Honor, it allows Do to digivolve to Fladramon. This Shakujou is imbued with the power of a Kuzahamon: Miko mode, Do can call on it's power to turn into it's former wielder. These are all I have that he came into contact or merged with.
Chie looked back to Ravenna, no longer wishing to hold onto any sense of grace as she groveled. "I'm sorry, I don't have much to pay you. But I can't rest without Do knowing the whole truth, he deserves that much, I don't know what he's planning, but I have to see him again."
Fighting back a tear as she tried to neglect the thought of the first thing to ever treat her like a decent being in a long time abandoning her. "Then, and only then, can I be content if he chooses to never see me again."
Do was still confused at what he was talking to, he knew it had to be the mind and soul of Takashi, but an etherial body. Figuring it best, he asked the obvious question. "Alright, if you're really Takashi, why are you here? You've been dead a long time." Takashi shrugged as he walked about, taking in the familiar scenery of the woods. "Who knows, probably basic ghost logic. Something I did left undone, can't move on till it is." Do blinked twice as he didn't know what to do with this information, as far as he knew, everything was resolved. "But, our last case, it's over. Devidramon is gone."
Takashi sat down on a stump, if years together should teach either of them anything, it's that Do's as dense as obsidian sometimes, and Takashi was never done cleaning up Do, even in death. "Tell me Do, where is this chick of yours?" Do clenched up as he didn't want to think about Chie. Knowing her, she probably already left the digital world somehow and returend to her bakery. "Hmmpth, she can be somewhere trying to get that stick out of her-" Takashi raised his hand, already knowing where this was going. A rant insulting Chie, meaning something went wrong in the two even after bringing Devidramon down- It just had occurred to him that Devidramon might have been the source of the problem.
"So, a few cats came out of the bag huh? Seems like a rough night."

It was difficult for Ravenna to remain professional with her man around. Cole approaches Ravenna and Chie, towering over the ladies. Raye smiles and nods at Cole, blushing and showing off her dress.
"Hey there, Cole. Thank you for joining us."
Cole hasn't mentioned her new dress yet, but what he did surprises Raye. Cole walks up behind Ravenna and embraces her. She enjoys seeing him show affection, but this wasn't the time.
"Cole, 'honey', I am trying to maintain a professional atmosphere for our client here."
Try as she might, Ravenna couldn't resist giggling. She holds onto Cole's arms, rocking back and forth. She switches gears and focuses on the task at hand. Raye's idea of tracking the Digivice around Do's neck was a dead end, as the device had long since deactivated. Cole had the good idea of tracking Do by using her scent. She hears Tsuki speaking from the V-Pet, good thing Kuyo remains silent for now. Chie goes on to explain that the Digimentals bare the scent of the DORUmon.
"Alright, that's a good idea. Tsuki should be able to pick up Do's scent from the Digimental of Honor."
Chie would then go on to grovel to Ravenna, explaining that she didn't have much money to pay her. Raye can she how upset she is without Do. It was hard not to start crying as well. Ravenna didn't have a partner, but she can see the special bond that forms between Tamer and Digimon, and she wants to help return Do to their Tamer.
"Whatever you can afford is fine. I want to help get Do back. But, are you sure that you will be safe? Maybe, maybe some Digimon are just not meant to have Tamers. Did you two get into a fight that lead to him leaving?"
As much as Ravenna wanted to explore the psychological reasons for the case, talking about the problem wasn't going to help much. She needed to be a bird of action.

It'd seem while somewhat appreciated, his greeting to Ravenna was a bit unwanted at the moment. She gave 'that' tone, the 'honey' tone. He'd say nothing, she was right, although...to be fair, he'd been very unintrusive with it, never interrupting the conversation until he had something to ask about the task at hand. Still, he'd have pulled away from hugging Ravenna, but she seemed to reach up and hold onto his arms, so he didn't pull away. Still let the man know she appreciated the affection.
Cole listened as the teenage girl explained about the digivice Do had, answering Ravenna's question, that seemed to be a quick dead end. But it'd seem Cole's question may turn up more possibilities, the very same item Chie just sliced herself on could potentially harbor Do's scent. Cole watched as Chie pulled out both the Digimental of Honor, and the Shakujou of Kuzahamon and placed them on the ground, presented for Cole's partners. He'd at this point softly tug his arms from Ravenna's grasp and step out from behind her to beside her, facing the items Chie laid out.
Cole pressed a button on his V-Pet, and two strings of digital code would rip from the device, whirling apart--before coming to form a bright light for a brief moment. The light faded and standing before the trio was the sweet but helpful BlackGabumon Tsuki, and beside her, a BlackAgumon, Kuyo blinking as he looked over to the items. "...Flamedramon...why does that sounds familiar Tsu?" Kuyo asked his twin. Tsuki have an annoyed glance at her brother...this wasn't the time! Then again, she did have her interest piqued when she heard 'Digimental of Honor'.
"...I'm sorry about Kuyo, I asked him to keep quiet but he really is a Curiousmon. If Do has used these I should be able to pick up his scent off of them." Tsuki said, stepping over and knelling down to sniff the Digimental of Honor. After a moment, separating the smell of Chie's fresh blood on it from the Digimon's scent, she'd stand up, looking to Chie. "I have his scent, if I can find traces of it we can probably track him down. Its interesting he uses the Digimental of Honor to become Flamedramon, I use the Digimental of Honor Cole found to become BlackRaidramon...and while Kuyo seems to forget, he used to armor digivolve to BlackFlamedramon in our prior lifetime." she said, giving Kuyo a glance to show that she just answered his earlier question. Kuyo had the 'Ohhh' look upon his face, it coming back to him, the BlackAgumon nodding repetitively.
She returned her focus to Chie. "I know its hard dear, but we'll find Do for you.." Tsuki reassured Chie, before turning away and taking a few steps away from the group so she could focus on smelling. She'd sniff the air..then turn a bit and sniff again...finally she lowered herself to the ground, getting on her paws like she was a quadruped beast. While Tsuki figured the scent out, Cole addressed Chie. "Tsuki is a really good tracker, she's really helped out on finding lost Digimon and Humans already just in the past few weeks." Cole tried to let the upset tamer know that she had someone good on the case.
Tsuki caught just a whiff, and glanced back at the group. 'I think I smell him." she said, slowly beginning to move forward as she kept smelling, coming back to stand on only her rear feet, wiping her hands upon her black fur pelt as she'd continue to walk, trying to follow the scent--expecting the rest to follow. Cole looked to the ladies, and would go ahead and wait for them to be ready to move before he'd follow. Kuyo on the other hand was quick to follow after Tsuki.

Chie didn't want to explain how she betrayed Do in the back, but she didn't want to send the group into a blind situation. Biting her lip, she figured it was best Ravenna knew exactly how bad Do is feeling right now. "Psychologically speaking, Do is fragile beyond all belief after falling hard from his usual headstrong, humor deflecting self. You see, before I found him, I stumbled onto part of the remains of his former partner with a note presumably intended for me, asking to save Do from spiraling out of control and seeking vengeance on the digimon that, well, killed and ate him."
Chie shuddered at the thought of recalling the poor boy's fate, and even recalling he still hasn't even been given a proper grave. She really should go back for them and at least send them to his family, but that was another issue. "I found him in a state that I couldn't tell how he'd react if he found out, he was in intense denial of the possibility and couldn't remember he searched for years. But unfortunately recently, we encountered a marker towards the cave of the Devidramon, and he rushed in thinking Takashi was alive. I tried to stop him, but he went in anyways, and soon figured out I was hiding things from him."
Reciting the incident did not help Chie's conscience at all, in fact it just made it worse as she felt ready to just give up on him, hasn't she already done enough to him? Letting those thoughts pass her mind, she didn't let up on finishing the story, her words felt as heavy as iron blocks as she muddled through the rest. "He wouldn't listen to a word after that, he ran off. Frankly, he's in more danger then a lone human, he's on the verge of a psychological break.
When the twin digimon confirmed they had Do's scent, Chie was glad at least something went right. However her eyes opened wide as she recalled that Do was not without skills of his own. Picking up the artifacts and placing them in her purse, she informed the digimon of what to expect. "Keep your nose focused at all times, Do is a tracker too, he knows tricks and skills. His internal GPS couldn't find where he is in a hallway, but he can find you starting from the Backup Bayou."
Standing back up, facing the two humans, she honestly didn't know how they would get him back. She didn't care as long as she can get that purple idiot back.
Meanwhile, Do was out of his freaking mind hearing Takashi describe the situation so bluntly. Chie hid facts about his life from her, and even tried to stop him from regaining those memories. Do slashed at a tree in fury, leaving his claw marks in the tree, and again, and kept going until he dented in the tree, venting as he did so. "She lied, she kept my own memories from me! She betrayed my trust!" Takashi pulled out a flask as he took a swing from it, letting Do get out his anger. Figuring it's better to just let him burn everything out instead of let him build it out quicker. After Do was done, he took a deep breath while Takashi put on the cap of his flask.
"Ya done? Great, cause I got a few things to say so listen up." Standing up, Takashi paid careful attention to what Do said, trying to debunk as much as he could, taking a quick sip from his flask. Do knew he was communicating with something ethereal, but he couldn't help but wonder at the back of his mind if drinking was a good idea. "Alright, let's start with she lied? Did she say I was alive, or did you think that and she just didn't correct you? No denying she kept your memories from you, but she had a good reason. Perhaps to prevent you from facing the human killer on your own or god forbid with her, which YOU dragged her along anyways."
However it was the last part that got even him riled as he walked right to the DORUmon's face, and looked him in the eyes disappointingly. For Do made the one mistake that was true betrayal. As Takashi advanced forward, DO backed up at how intimidating Takashi can get, even from beyond the grave. "She betrayed you? She stuck with you through thick and thin by the sounds of it. Probably even took a hit from the Cannibal. She was there for you, but YOU ran away from her, leaving her all alone!"
Takashi finally figured it out on why he couldn't rest, Do was such an idiot he couldn't make it remotely easy for the next girl, even when she was only acting out his last wish.

As much as Ravenna wanted to be professional, she couldn't help herself around Cole. Just as she had told him before, he was her rock. Even if he was somewhat of a gogglehead at times. Though Ravenna needed someone around to scold. He completed her. Tsuki and Kuyo appear from Cole's V-Pet, and once Tsuki gets a whiff of Do's scent from the Digimental of Honor, she starts sniffing the ground for his scent.
Ravenna still didn't understand much about Digimentals and the like. As a Spirit Wielder she had her spirits, but apparently Digimon had their own items that could unlock new stages. It was so much to remember. Two Digimentals of Honor? Was there multiple spirits of the same variety out there as well? If only she had her own Digimon around who knew about this kind of thing. For now, she would have to borrow Tsuki when she could.
Chie's story about the events that unfolded were quite dark and grim. The remains of a Tamer? Disturbing. Even here in the Digital World, dead is dead. Raye had her own close calls, some right here in the forest, but the thought of dying here in the Digital World sends a chill down her spine. What had become of Takashi? Do the Digimon they were looking for is in an unstable state, and there's no telling what could be going through his mind right now.
"A Digimon that eats people?! That's horrible."
Ravenna shivers, as she clenches Cole's arms tight. Her head tilts forward and her shoulders droop. Her confidence had been shaken knowing what they were dealing with.
"N-no offense, but I got into this line of work to find lost or stolen items. I will help you if I can, but this whole thing gives me the creeps! Hold me tight, Cole..."
The track athlete was way out of her element at this point. She didn't know how her skillset would be of much use on this assignment. She couldn't track scents like Tsuki, so what was there for her to do, besides avoiding becoming a meal for a terrifying Digimon? The good thing is Cole is there to comfort her. It's funny, just a few weeks ago, she wouldn't even let Cole help her up, feeling the need to avoid help from a man because it would make her feel weak. Now, she had come to rely on him. As frightened as she may be, she is determined to help Chie and find Do. She would have to be brave, and to carry on no matter what challenges await.

Cole would keep his ears focused on what Chie had to say, as any information could potentially help. Although what he heard would make the man's stomach twist, when Chie mentioned the fate of Do's former tamer, Cole's eyes shifted to a hint of seriousness, narrowing a hint at the thought of how Chie found the dead tamer. That would ruin anyone's mind. Cole's heart sank at the thought of finding his own sister like that--having been searching for her the entire time he'd been in the digital world with no clue if she's even alive anymore. He'd glance off to the side, remaining silent for a moment as the thought stirred up more emotion then he wanted to show around the ladies.
It'd seem Ravenna didn't take well to the idea of it either, verbally expressing how horrible the situation of a Digimon who eats humans is, and clutching onto his arm. He'd look back, expression more neutral now, sighing softly. "More then just that Digimon has a taste for human, I know a couple have looked at me like lunch already...in other words we need to be careful of those things at all times, let Do's former partner be a testament to that." Cole would tell them, likely not what they wanted to hear, but Cole wasn't one for sugarcoating the truth, he was if nothing else honest, even if sometimes brutally honest.
Ravenna said something about her line of work not exactly fitting this, and even asked him to hold her. Now wasn't exactly the time, Cole knew she had the professional image to keep. Instead he'd pull his arm from her grip and let his hand reach up behind her head, softly rubbing the back of her neck under her hair. "As long as we are all careful we'll be fine. Since when are you scared of Digimon? You at least can be one and fight back, as tough as I wanna act I'm still a squishy human." Cole would say, giving her a half smile, even though he was sort of ripping on himself here.
Cole turned his attention back to Chie as she collected her items, and informed them that Do was also a tracker and could be actively covering his trail. Luckily in his frantic rush he probably didn't, and Tsuki could easily track the Digimon. Speaking of, she was half way down the path, turning back at the group who was still back at the starting point. "...You all coming or what?" Tsuki said, a bit rude for her normal sweetness, but she wanted to find Do--he was likely on the move and every moment they wasn't moving, he could be getting further away. They couldn't know Do was currently having a conversation with Takashi from beyond the grave. Cole looked to the girls, Kuyo already taking off in a jog to catch up to Tsuki. "Lets get going, we can talk on the move." he said, trying to get them to go, he'd bring up the rear once they did and follow behind the two women.

Chie could see Amelia's reaction to the Devidramon, and frankly she would've reacted the same way, but she had too close an encounter to a point where she had to bottle it up and hide it. Also she was lonely and had no man to hold her so that also throws a wrench in the reaction. Shrugging fantasies aside, she noted that most of the group was already starting to lead away. "Right."
Figuring it best she follow, she knew that Do would not be an easy target and that he might find a way to escape. If she lost him today, it would be forever as he could very well go so deep into the woods, he'll never be found again. Chie tried to hang back as much as possible as she followed the leading digimon. Chie felt guilty about having to rely on others to help her with this, after all, Do was her partner. If she couldn't look out for him, how could she dare look him in the eyes. Chie couldn't help but tighten her fist at that thought, all she could do was watch as these kind people helped her get back Do,
"I feel useless... I don't even have a digivice in hand. I'm not even sure if I should be seen by him, I'm worried somehow he might Dark evolve and I might get to be on the receiving end of-"
Chie recalled Death-X-Dorugamon, that was not a pleasant experience to see the example of a shonen hero turned into a ghastly behemoth. She stopped her words in her track bitterly, not wanting anyone to think Do was a monster when she felt like the only monster around. Rubbing her wound nervously, she didn't know what to expect out of Do right now.
Meanwhile Do was not pleased to be getting verbally assaulted by the spirit. However he was not willing to take this kind of abuse from anyone, let alone the dead. Throwing his small arms into the air in frustration, he gave up on anyone making sense. "Oh what do you know? You weren't there. Your not even here!" He stormed off into the distance as he couldn't find peace, he wanted Takashi to rest but he wouldn't take any crap he spat at him.
Takashi sighed as he couldn't tell how bad the damage was done. He felt bad for whoever was in his shoes now. "About that, there's something you need to know-"
Do didn't want to here it, if he didn't know something, he didn't want to know at this point. Right now, everything made sense, anything gets any further out of hand he swore he'd rip out his own digicore. "I don't want to hear it!" He ran through the forest, further and further way from the enterance. At this point he wanted everything to just end. He did in fact leave behind scratch marks, and destroyed shrubbery in a path as he tried to run away from life.

Cole would reassure Ravenna when she is frightened by the thought of Digimon eating people. If some Digimon eat people, would Digimon taste good to people? Cole reminds her that she can Spirit Evolve and fight back.
"Ya, you are right. Though I'm also worried about you. How many times have you gotten hurt?"
Ravenna feels Cole rubbing the back of her neck, putting her at ease. She could tell Chie was noticing them showing affection. Hopefully the girl has her own special someone to make her feel this way. Otherwise it would probably make her jealous. Tsuki continues on down the trail, getting the group to follow. Ravenna would walk next to Cole as they follow the path.
Chie feels guilty over what happened between her and Do, wondering if it was even right to see him again. She mentions dark evolution, something Ravenna hasn't encountered before, but she knows of it.
"You mean when a Digimon Digivolves and becomes hostile? If it comes to that, we will subdue them, and spare them before it's too late."
As they continue on, Ravenna is ready to grab her D-tector if she needs to Spirit Evolve. The Psychic Spirit in the device has been remaining silent, as usual, though the nature of this task concerns even the spirit. Was Raye really ready to intervene in a situation as sensitive as this?
"What makes a Digimon dark evolve anyways? I've seen evil Digimon that are naturally rotten. What would make a regular Digimon turn evil? I'm sure if you just get the chance to talk things over with Do, you can sort this out."
As worried as Ravenna is about the dangers that may lurk ahead, at least she has her man by her side. Tsuki and Kuyo are more than capable fighters, and the three of them have had much success so far. What Ravenna didn't know is that Do is currently talking to the spirit of his former Tamer Takashi. Would it even be possible to reason with the DORUmon in this condition?

Ravenna responded to Cole mentioning she could fight back with saying she was worried about him, he just nervously rubbed the back of his head to this. 'Hehehe'ing. Truthfully it was something he also worried about, but always seemed to shove to the back of his mind when he runs head first into dangerous situations. Its probably what annoyed Raye most about Cole, but then again maybe is part of what draws her to him.
But they had to get moving, Tsuki was impatient and for good reason. Cole would usher on the group to get walking, them following after Tsuki...Despite Cole's attempt to walk behind everyone, they had their own plans it seemed--Raye ended up walking right next to him, and Chie was sort of lagging behind. Cole would hear Chie speak up, talking a bit before she seemed to cut herself short, making Cole glance over his shoulder to Chie. He'd listen to Ravenna's response and questions as for what Chie said.
Tsuki meanwhile kept her nose sharp, the scent was becoming stronger, not much closer to Do exactly--but closer to the path he specifically took. Kuyo by now was right behind her, also trying to sniff around, but he was a bit more lost then her--despite technically possessing a better nose. They was slowly getting warmer, but now Do was on the move again, which wouldn't make their jobs any easier--luckily as Tsuki hoped, Do was doing exactly what she thought he may and not covering his tracks or scent in his upset state. Cole sighed softly, taking ahold of Ravenna's hand and slowing both of them up enough to regroup with Chie who was falling behind on purpose, him looking over to the younger girl.
"Everything should be fine...ah...what was your name? I don't think you ever told us. I'm Cole is Raye hadn't already mentoned it. But everything should be fine once we find Do, you two can talk things out...and if anything bad happens, there are two strong Digimon and a strong Spirit user with us, we should be able to subdue him without hurting him." Cole would say to Chie, trying to reassure her everything would be okay.
Cole knew how Chie felt, he could read the guilt in her expressions and voice, and guilt was something Cole has been dealing with heavily for weeks now, over a month even...Just since day one stepping into the Digtal World Cole made some mistakes that had left him in a state of guilt he's still not over yet. But he had learned that letting that guilt get to you was not how to handle it, and while he had no clue she felt bad about asking others for help in this, that has been something Cole learned is ok....'Sometimes its okay to let others in', he'd let Ravenna in and he was a much happier person for it now. He gave her a reassuring smile. "Now come on, can't have you lagging behind and becoming the next hungry Digimon's lunch can we?" he'd say, trying to get the teen to pick up the pace.
Cole glanced back over to Ravenna, his smile becoming a hint more nervous. "Hoping I don't turn into lunch one od these days heheheh...I'd hate to think how mad you'd be if I did." he'd nervously say, but gave her a more warm smile after, softly gripping her hand.
