Even as he returned to the relative safety of the group, Dio was still clearly on edge after the whole thing, his frantic breathing betraying his otherwise impassive and stoic demeanor. Facing a Meicrackmon beforehand had already been a pretty intense experience in its own right. Fighting this thing however? It was downright terrifying. But he couldn’t let it show too much, nor could he let the fear take control again. He had been given a second chance; he could not let it go to waste. Carlos meanwhile bit his lip when the rather…inconclusive results of his scan were known to him, nothing but corrupted text giving him nothing he didn’t already knew about how wrong this creature’s current situation was. “Why am I not surprised?”In hindsight, he probably should have expected the scanner to be useless considering the D-Reaper’s nature, but the reaction it got from the Club’s scanner was…worrisome to say the least. Her reply to K’s question however really put the last nail in the coffin. She was clearly too far gone to be saved…not like that had ever been a possibility. As the corrupted hunter suddenly closed in the distance between her and her new target in less than a blink Dio was quick to react as well, knowing better than to try to take another closer swipe, instead playing it safe and once again sending power to his eyes. He didn’t want Duramon to be harmed, but he wouldn’t achieve anything more than making himself another target by getting close. A moment later he was already sending another red beam at her, hoping it would at least mitigate some of her relentless assault. Dio keeps a healthy distance and shoots another Red Ray at the Hunter.
Red Ray: Fires a long ranged (100ft) red energy beam from his visor. This attack is not particularly powerful damage wise, but can easily pierce through armor of its same level and below. Three posts cooldown.
Cooldowns:

If nothing else, the MeiCrackmon that now approached Dagger had an absolutely terrifying visage about her. Even with her now simplified means of expression, the sheer hunger and ferocity in that smile and glare were unmistakable, and Dagger was the sheer target of all of it. Dark Knightmon's 'Night Lance' charged in the background, and Dio's Red Ray glinted off in MeiCrackmon's periphery - but there was one outside defense that did prepare itself in time:
Jesmon's Aegis! Though the defense was a cloud of small blades, each the size of cherry petals, even the most aggressive of foes would have been better to pull back. Even if they managed to land a strike through, those manipulated blades could turn into a weapon in the next instant, and pierce through the skin of any intruder. To a typical attacker, Jesmon's follow-up might even rend the beast in twain!
Pity, that there was little 'typical' about this beast. Seeing these small blades glint before her, the MeiCrackmon simply let out a laugh, and sprinted forth. Her dash was forced slightly wide, having to compromise her footing to duck the sword directly, but the attack carried through: that arm swept cleanly through the blades, as if ignoring the fact that they were even there, and the palm of the claw connected with and slammed directly against the shield.
It was enough to spare Dagger the worst of the hit - only having to deal with the weight of the claw itself, rather than the full weight of the MeiCrackmon - but her claw would still connect with Duramon's chest, sending him back several meters with a scratch on his chest. The MeiCrackmon grinned, a tight ball of fractal code held in that claw - tch, empty hit? Well, loading that small bit of 'excess data', Duramon would still be left with a concerning red slash across his chest, and be thrust far away from direct combat.
But how had MeiCrackmon managed that through Jesmon's attack at all? A quick look at her striking claw would confirm it: the 'Blades of the Faithful' that K had relied on were ill-suited to fight the D-Reaper's cloak. Rather than defend the blow or even cut in, the entire swath of blades she had struck through had instead stuck to the 'Red Layer' like a demented glue trap - and the corrupting data of the D-Reaper itself quickly erased any code K had to control the metal. But it was just as well:
K had drawn herself close. MeiCrackmon was not getting a better chance than right now to get exactly what she needed - and her hungry gaze immediately set forth to the Knight!
"C'mere!" Her tone ravenous, the MeiCrackmon turned to face the knight - a creature twice her size - a fierce yellow glow escaping her gaze, just as her 'Red Layer' began to bubble. Around her, several small red 'spots' of D-Reaper mass started to appear, floating 'bubbles' that hung openly around the area. Dio's Red Ray pierced through one, a fierce singe burying right into the MeiCrackmon's back - the Night Lance itself catching two bubbles, before burying its destructive force into her side. She winced heavily at both, but carried on:
What did a little damage matter if she could devour this Jesmon? Her eyes would try and catch the Knight's - but in either case, she would leap forward towards that armored beast, and try and latch around her chest! Wide fangs would try and latch around the shoulder, as two of her tails wrapped around to stab towards the hips, the third at her left side. Perhaps worse, though, would have been the feeling echoing in K's head before:
'Attack her'. That little bit of eye contact would want to make her dig her heels in and fight straight back!
Log:
MeiCrackmon manages a direct hit on Duramon's chest - but the reduction caused by the shields and the redirection by Jesmon's sword reduced the damage enough to conserve her forms.
MeiCrackmon uses 'Red Layer 2', creating a wide field of red bubbles around herself in a range of 50 feet.
Red Ray and Vicious Lance strike MeiCrackmon at reduced effect - but seeing the 'solution', the feline is willing to take damage.
MeiCrackmon uses 'Berserk Thinking', a yellow gleam in her eyes attempting to cross Jesmon's vision. If successful, the two would try and tear into each-other!
Red Layer I: 2/3 Red Layer II: 1/3

Cloak threw himself forward like a mon possessed as his brother's scream tore through his very soul and left his Tamer frozen in place eyes glassy with tears he'd never seen her shed before. Catching the gilded form of his twin the impact sent the Dark Knightmon sliding back as he braced dropping to one knee as he cradled Dagger in his grip. The Duramon shaken and in pain, a red gleaming gash across his chest so similar to the crimson burns that had marked Cloak's back as a Baalmon. Meeting his twin's golden gaze with his own molten gilded eyes the Dark Knightmon could see the same fury and frustration that lurked within himself reflected in Dagger's eyes. "I'm tired." The Duramon wheezed out his eyes drifting to Cassandra where she stood terrified, shaking, and determined between the lake and the battle before them. Too afraid to turn her back lest the Meicrackmon go for the injured digimon hiding within. Forming a what little of a barrier she could with her shield and her own body as she watched the two brothers with relief and fear bright in her eyes. Relief that Dagger was alive and terrified that neither he nor Cloak would remain that way. "I'm tired of never being enough. I'm tired of worrying her." Dagger hissed out between pained gasps as Cloak helped him sit up and offered his brother an armored hand. "I'm tired..." The Dark Knightmon rumbled out in agreement. "I'm tired of being powerless.""Of being weak." Dagger agreed.
"Of things threatening our Tamer's life." Cloak snarled out. "I'm tired of it hurting us." Cas whispered through clenched fangs her fingers tightening about her digivice so hard it dusted her knuckles in white even as the device seemed to screech in protest. Her eyes boring into the demented cat's back like knives as it leaped at Jesmon. In her hand the Digivice's screen flashed with static the solid black "5" seeming to dissolve as the twins became suffused in light as a new number took it's place. A bright, gleaming, red 7 as the light cleared to reveal the newest players on this field of murder and death a Tactimon, and a gleaming Durandamon. "Together then?" Durandamon growled out looking to his twin even as Cloak rested his free hand lightly on his twin's shoulder. "Together." Cas agreed sliding her last and final card through her D-arc as the light of Antivirus surrounded Cloak. "Always." The Tactimon vowed voice dark with promise of retribution as the pair disappeared in a flash of light only to appear in the air just behind the Meicrackmon. The chains around Cloak's Jatetsufūjin-maru shattering as he drew the cursed blade in a single smooth motion the sheer power of the weapons release causing a blastwave that rippled out even as he brought the blade down as he fell it's edge gleaming white with purifying and destructive light as he aimed to bring it straight down the D-reaper infected Digimon's spine.
Cloak Evolves to Tactimon Dagger Evolves to Durandamon
Cas Uses: VB-26 Card Name: Antivirus
Type: Modify
Rank: Silver
Duration: 3 Posts
Effect: A holy aura surrounds the target Digimon, giving their attacks a purifying effect. Their attacks are stronger against any Virus-type Digimon. Target: Cloak
Dagger Uses: - Ride The Light: Durandamon teleports himself and anyone he is currently holding in a flash of light within line of sight. Likewise he may choose to target and teleport a willing ally instead of himself. Cooldown two turns. Target: Cloak and Himself
Cloak Uses: -Star Splitter: Tactimon unchains Jatetsufūjin-maru drawing the sword from it's sheath to wield its full sinister might as power that warps and damages the fabric of the digital world itself coalesces around the blade. Lashing out at his opponent with the sword Jatetsufūjin-maru ignores all shields and mirror abilities piercing straight through them like butter as the blade deletes and destroys the data of anything it touches doing massive damage in the process. Cooldown four turns. -Indomitable Will: Due to his superior control and indomitable will Tactimon is immune to hostile mental effects especially those that might turn him against his allies though he is not immune to any additional damage attacks employing the effects might cause. At this point; K wasn't sure what to expect from the hunter itself. The laser that Dio fired; her defensive move; the move that the Duramon made in attempt to waive off the Meicrackmon... It was a massive amount of effort for very little pay off. She wasn't expecting that 'veil' that the Meicrackmon to render her petals to basically worthless. This Meicrackmon was a lot faster than what she was expecting as well. The hit that it was able to land on the Duramon didn't seem to be as bad as it could of been; but the Meicrackmon was able to get some code from the digimon making the Jesmon flinch slightly. Every attack it got even if they weren't named allowed her to pull coding? That would make it incredibly difficult to fight this creature wouldn't it? It was frustrating to see that her blades had no effect and had been pulled into some kind of strange trap as though a fly in honey from long ago. The hungry gaze was met head on; which was fairly unfortunate as she tried to back away but the reaction time of this D-reaperfied Meicrackmon didn't allow her to do so. Worst yet she found those eyes meeting her own for a brief instant. That feeling echoing in her head to attack; to fight to make due with this enemy and overwhelm them. Not in the way you think! The Jesmon snarled and would of made an attack proper were it not for the Fact that the twins digivolved right at that moment. The cool refreshing feel of tactimon's Indomitable will. It was like cold water splashed on her face and it made the Jesmon growled immediately selecting a card quickly as she felt the Meicrackmon itself start to tear into her. One hand immediately came up attempting to whack the Meicrackmon with a mallet that appeared simply out of no where thanks to her card. Almost immediately afterwards the Jesmon would set their heels in regardless if that had worked or not and began pulling energy from her form into her center. She didn't really think that her saberk might be a wise option for the moment and would have to deal with any pain that came from the Meicrackmon if her mallet missed... Log: -Meicrackmon Successfully tagged K with 'Beserk Thinking' -Tactimon's passive 'Iron will' helps K break through it reasonably quickly. -K uses a Card: ME-08 'Clockmon' 'Chrono Breaker' -Meicrackmon manages to latch onto K for the moment before the card attack is made. -K starts charging up Odin's Judgement. -Valhalla's Regeneration kicks off with taking Damage! Valhalla's Regeneration 'Passive': Each post this Digimon regenerates a medium amount of health. When struck by damage, this healing factor increases to a large amount for three posts and goes on cool down for an equal cool down of whatever move was used on the host. If the move was a once per thread move, a cool down of six posts will be implemented instead.
OathSworn: Any Virus Type deals 30% less damage to this digimon.
RAM UPGRADE Hero's Mantle: While worn this digimon takes less damage than normal. This cloak can be given to other individuals and they are granted the same boon. When removed The host takes damage as normal. For the first post that this cloak is given, the one that is granted this boon cannot be damage in any way but also cannot do anything that would impart damage, status effects or mobility uses. However this effect cannot be given to the host itself as their body is acclimated to the cloak. Attack used: RAM UPGRADE- Odin's Judgement: A massive strike, capable of destroying mountains, splitting seas and cutting the very clouds apart within the sky. The damage from this ability is Immense. Hard to wield and incredible unstable. This attack has a one post wind up, a one post strike and a cool down of four posts. Any attack made after Odin's Judgement is weaker for up until Odin's Judgement's cooldown is finished. Chargin...Card used: ME-08 Card Name: Clockmon Type: Digimon Rank: Silver Duration: 1 Post Chrono Breaker: The target Digimon whacks their opponent with a mallet, freezing them in time for one post. Ear Bursting: The target Digimon rings loudly, causing harsh irritation to all nearby Digimon.

In all honesty, Carlos was just short from outright cheering now at the turn of events, Cas' partners coming back from the brink and evolving into majestic new forms more than capable to take on the new threat. Suddenly, things seemed a lot more favorable for them. But that still didn’t mean they were on the clear, who knew what else that wretched cat could do?
Dio, on the other hand, was much less optimistic. Not so much for their chances, though. He would have gladly jumped forward and attacked the cat with reckless abandon, joined in with the knights on their assault as long as it meant buying K more time to prepare what could possibly be their trump card.
But…he couldn’t. He simply couldn’t muster up the courage to do so.
One painful truth kept him from doing so: he was completely outmatched and outclassed by every single mon surrounding him, both friendly and hostile. If he went into the thick of things again, the Meicrackmon would definitely take advantage of that. If there was anyway he could be useful, it was standing behind and ensuring the safety of the humans while the others, the ones with actual power did their thing.
And yet even then the best he could do was be a temporary diversion, a momentary distraction to keep the cat away from the humans.
After all he was but a runt, a weakling unfit to carry the title of Demon Lord. He certainly understood the feeling the twin knights had expressed a moment before digivolving, but his case was different. If he were to charge forward, what else would happen, other than being either completely ignored by the ravenous digimon, or worse, overwhelmed?
“Stay behind.” He commanded once, positioning himself in front of Cas and Carlos, glaring in the direction of the cat. He sighed, frustrated as the knights attacked the Meicrackmon in an attempt to take it off K. If they could at least get some more time, maybe it would be what they needed to finish this. Until then, all he could really do was wait for his moment.
-Dio, against his wishes decides to stay behind and protect the humans.

Well, well - it seemed that the group had ratcheted themselves up to their highest gear: Cloak and Dagger exceeded their limits, and Jesmon, as always, remained a powerful force. That said?
MeiCrackmon wasn't just going to wait for the Digivolution to finish. And with Jesmon unable to make a proper attack until Tactimon's 'Indomitable Will' set in, that left the MeiCrackmon enough time to land her attack exactly as she intended: claws clenched around the Jesmon's back, the fangs would latch on and pierce right through her shoulder, both tails stabbing deep inside the Knight's armor. With K's body taking such piercing damage, the corrupt feline helped herself to a feast, a sizable amount of fractal code slipping right past her fangs. Almost immediately, the gloves of a Renamon appeared around the MeiCrackmon's wrists, slipping underneath that red veil a moment later.
The tails, however, had caught something much more interesting: flooded with red light, MeiCrackmon's body started brimming with a brilliant energy. Pushing herself away from the knight, the cat found herself a bit staggered, simply trying to assimilate a meal this outrageous. Even underneath that veil, her fur started to twitch - and from the shoulder-blades of her back, two massive dragon wings sprang forth, even scattering a part of her veil off into the distance.
Left immobilized by this great outburst of energy, the hammer clocked her right in the side - leaving MeiCrackmon unable to move, her eyes darting around as she slumped on the ground. She wouldn't have been moving even if she could, though: Dark Knightmon's blade easily slipped through that red veil, though the mega would find a surprising amount of resistance in the MeiCrackmon's side, a fresh set of dragon scales helping to hold that blade at bay. With the blade slowed and blown back by the force, she is left with a deep gouge and a visible wireframe over her stomach.
Right now would be their best chance to do damage, though. Once the MeiCrackmon could move again, things were likely not going to go the group's way!
Log:
Having landed an uncontested full hit, MeiCrackmon absorbs Renamon and Examon from K's data.
The sheer volume of Examon's data surprises MeiCrackmon, as she gains Examon's scales and wings. She is struck by Chrono Breaker, and then by Star Splitter - though Chrono Breaker delays MeiCrackmon's realization of the damage, she is cut heavily across the stomach, piercing through the scales.
MeiCrackmon has acquired Kohenkyo at all levels! In addition to Examon's durability and wings, MeiCrackmon has acquired Wings of Ragnarok at all levels!

"We can still win. We can still finish this together." Dagger urged holding out his hand once more to his twin as his form shifted becoming a great gleaming sword. He never noticed in his desperation the way Cloak tensed nor the fact he never took his eyes off of the injured Meicrackmon. "We can, but perhaps not in the way you think." Cloak lamented as the Tactimon drove both swords deep into the earth the blades glowing as he absorbed their power while the gun muzzles on his back swung forward into targeting position with an ominous click. Taking a moment to aim as the barrels glowed with a power they were never meant to contain. The Mega estimated there was a scant five meters between himself and his target at best. Point blank range if there had ever been such. "No..." Cas whispered in horror fumbling for her cards as realization came over her like a dark shroud. "No! Cloak! Cloak god damn it don't you dare!" Cassandra screamed desperation cracking her voice like thunder, but her words however were nothing, but distant white noise to the Digimon. "I'm sorry...." The Tactimon murmured targeting the Meicrackmon's stomach where his blade had pierced it's scales as Cloak braced himself against the swords...and fired. The roaring attack that ripped from the guns was never meant to be contained by the likes of a Mega. The God-Felling Blast was as double edged and dangerous to it's user as it was to their enemies even at a distance. At close range it meant near mutually ensured destruction. Empowered as it was it was nothing short of death incarnate and Cloak was choosing to die if it meant dragging the cat with him. It was less then ten seconds as the blast began to reach full power and beyond that the gun muzzles began to crack, the barrels threading with molten spiderwebs like breaking ice as he felt his shoulderplates begin to shatter from the power. The heat turning his armor a near molten red and leaving his grip upon the swords white knuckled from the force, but the Twenty Sword that was his twin and Jatetsufūjin-maru held strong preventing him from sliding back as he pooled their strength and everything he had into the blast. The world was made of light and fire as his form began to go fuzzy at the edges his data fracturing with a billion minute molten crack threading throughout his frame when the power finally became too much. His form becoming suffused in light as Cas sobbing prayed her D-arc held just a little longer as the gun-barrels gave way in a massive explosive CRACK!
The boom echoing out over the dark area like a death-knell, but for whom was yet to be seen as Cloak's vision went black.
Dagger Uses: - Twenty Sword: Transforms itself into a sword increasing the attack power of any weapon using digimon that wields it by one-hundred percent and allowing them to use of all Durandamon's abilities and passives at the cost of Durandamon being unable to engage in combat while in sword form.
Cloak Uses: -God Felling Blast: Aims the gun-muzzles on it's back at it's opponent targeting them before firing two piercing blasts that deal massive damage and explode eviscerating everything within a fifty meter radius or may be combined into a single massive prolonged blast that does increased damage the closer the opponent is to Tactimon. With the damage increasing five percent for every one-hundred meters within a kilometer distance the opponent is to the Digimon with Tactimon beginning to take collateral damage from the blast should his opponent be within five-hundred meters or less. Point blank ensuring mutual destruction of both digimon. Cooldown two turns.
Passives Active: - Pierce The Heavens: One of the Legend-Arms said to be able to pierce the heavens themselves. It's swords are designed to slice through any substance like paper. As such shields and defensive abilities used to block Durandamon's strikes function as one level lower in terms of stopping it's attacks. Cooldown of one post between activations. (Passive) -Indomitable Will: Due to his superior control and indomitable will Tactimon is immune to hostile mental effects especially those that might turn him against his allies though he is not immune to any additional damage attacks employing the effects might cause. Likewise this resistance is extended to his allies halving the time hostile mental effects last upon them. (Passive) -Against All Odds: Whenever Tactimon is outnumbered or outgunned his attack power increases by ten percent for every additional enemy that joins the fight or twenty-five percent for every level above his own his main opponent possesses. Whichever is higher. (Passive)
Cas Uses: VB-29 Card Name: Final Prayer
Type: Modify
Rank: Gold
Duration: 1 Post
Effect: The target Digimon is granted a blessing from on high, helping them resist even death itself. If a Digimon would be knocked out or killed, they instead remain on their last legs. Target: Cloak

What did she feel from losing so much data? Having those piercing fangs, those tails slamming into her hips piercing through her armor like it was nothing? She felt pain, right forward and then something got ripped from her at first. She felt her image of renamon slip away; replaced with nothingness and loss. It was a staggering moment that weighed on her for a few seconds; but the next one? The next one that was ripped from her made the jesmon stagger slightly grunting in abject pain. She remembered the promise she made to examon; she remembered what she told that digimon that she would do with that form once she learned to control it. What she could do with that form to protect those that needed it; that she could.. without a doubt fight against GraceNovamon and her foolish desires. Her twisted Desires. Hatred. Hatred stemmed from her eyes; a dangerous flash on those usually icy blue eyes. She let out a roar of absolute disgust, hatred and just pure malevolent desire to kill this creature standing not even a couple feet from her. She was numb to the happenings that the twins did, she was numb to what carlos and dio had done earlier. She was finished with this horse raddish. The Jesmon swiped her last card with a snarl. Immediately did that Digital hazard symbol slam into her chest wrenching her mind from the idea of anything but battle. Anything but the judgement that this creature had incoming. With a earpiercing roar of rage did words emerge as the Jesmon raised her arm upwards. Crackling energy raged along her form up and to her sword where the very sky itself suddenly was split in twain with the strength of the strike that was now firmly planted in the ground. "ODIN'S JUDGEMENT."The explosion that wracked her body from the twin's assault didn't matter, it didn't matter. Nothing mattered she felt the rage overwhelm her and she snarled, sputtered and tore at her chest as she felt nothing. The pain that the twins had forced upon her, massive as it was was lessened. Her twisted armor, metal and burning rent from within and without forced itself into shape harrowingly. The Jesmon itself was near passing out at this point but she was overcome by the card she had played. Her body was exhausted from the fight itself; from the move itself but the card didn't care. She didn't care. She would fight. She would kill this thing; she would do what she needed to to keep this beast from continuing. She forced herself to step forward snarling as her body suffered from damage still. "WHAT IS YOUR SUSTENANCE TO A GOD?" [RAM UPGRADE GIGA]: Crimson Mantle: Jesmon's signature cape; adjusted for size for each Digivolution. This cape has a few soft abilities each that scales with the level given. It may provide flight [if the wearer already can fly their movement is increased by one step] and it can block a single attack relevant to the power of the level of the host digimon before implementing a cool down of two posts for the block itself. As soon as the Meicoomon had evolved the first time, Dio began wondering to himself if this mission was doomed to failure, if they had gotten way in over their heads. The fact he was the weakest link on the expedition only exacerbated things, but he still wanted to believe K and the twins would be enough to complete the mission.
It was when the Meicrackmon sprung forth massive wings that the demon began debating if they should just simply run away. Things were taking a really bad turn for them, and if this monstrosity wasn’t contained soon she would be unstoppable.
But judging by the Apostle’s reaction however, she was not going to let such an outrage go unpunished. Against all odds, K had actually managed to knock her down momentarily! The demon didn't hesitate for a second.
Now it was their moment. All or nothing.
Dio was quick to move, his arm lighting up with power. Palm open and nails pointing in the direction of their foe, a blue arc of electricity shooting out from it, aiming to lay as much damage on the Hunter before it recovered. It seemed that he was not the only one with this idea in mind, as the other Mega level digimon began to prepare their own attacks.
Dio’s heart practically skipped a beat. They were not small attacks by any stretch of the word. And while it was frankly impressing (if a bit terrifying) to see the amount fury and power his former teacher was capable of, seeing her summon forth that massive attack was still worrisome.
Collateral damage was not something any of them cared for, clearly. He couldn’t say he didn’t understand the logic behind it, and was completely in favor, but there was still one small issue.
The humans would still be too caught by the blast.
The Demon Lord quickly turned his body around, looking down at the two tamers for a moment. This was no longer a fight he could hope to influence, but that didn’t mean he would be completely useless. His elongated arms reached forward, grabbing both Carlos and Cas with the utmost care not to accidentally hurt them with his sharp claws.
“Hold tight.” He ordered, and without even looking back, the demon jumped into the air, gaining as much distance as he could from the other four digimon, the humans held tightly against his chest. He was able to get about twenty five meters worth of distance before their companions threw everything they had at the Meicrackmon, a loud rumble soon ensued after the initial impact.
Dio was forced to stop on his tracks, firmly standing with his wings extended protectively around the two humans, standing firm against the ensuing shockwave that threatened to send them all flying if they so much as slightly loosened their grip. Even Dio had some trouble standing his ground, the sheer force of the two explosions being enough to force him to stab one of his clawed hands into the soil to keep himself grounded.
Soon however the rumbling would cease, the ground would stop shaking, and the destructive wind would quiet down. Slowly, carefully, the demon turned his head around to face the damage. Meanwhile, Carlos let go from his partner’s arm, his heart still racing, his ears ringing. But both he and Cas were still alive, and that’s what mattered. He shot a glance at the woman.
“You ok, doctor?” He asked, his tone one of worry. As he waited for a reply however, he couldn’t help but lean to the side, trying to get a good look at the destruction behind them. A large cloud of smoke and dust covered the recently bombarded area, a faint smell of ashes permeated the vicinity.
Such a desolate view had rendered both partners speechless. The dust and smoke slowly started to clear. The question that was in everyone’s minds, what would be revealed when the cloud dissipated? Would the cat still be standing, or would this combined effort finally put down the threat?
And more importantly, was there anything left from those that had also been caught by the blast?
Dio attacks the fallen Meicrackmon with System Shock, and takes the humans away to a safer distance.

"Ehehehe..."
Before those attacks were fired, MeiCrackmon couldn't help but give a playful chuckle. The Hunter, after all, had manage to secure quite a delicious meal - one so powerful that even her warped frame took several seconds to process it. Even as the hold of Chrono Breaker died off, a heavy red static folded around the cat, the red veil falling from her frame. The full effect of the data was on display, her orange fur largely replaced with orange, rough scales, Examon's own red wings erupting powerfully from her back. In a few more seconds, she might truly become an unstoppable force, able to lay waste to this forest in an instant.
Of course, the group had other ideas in mind. The Hunter grit her teeth as the fastest of the attacks - Dio's System Shock - coursed through her body. The electricity danced off of the scales, a light burn on her frame that didn't even make her flinch. The NeoDevimon, as it was, wasn't a current threat to the beast.
Jesmon, on the other hand, put up quite the impressive display: though Cloak needed several seconds to charge his cannon, K already had her blade at the ready. Unable to make a proper move, greatly slowed by the data still being processed, MeiCrackmon simply snarled, raising an arm and a tail in defense of the blade. The scales of her arm quickly cracked, the blade forcing that tail to bounce straight against the ground, as a harsh slash dragged its way directly across Hunter's torso.
"Tch..." Her data already flicked in phase - and at that moment, Cloak's cannon clicked. The God-Felling Blast roared out, directly aimed right towards Hunter at the center. Stuck in place by the pain, it was all she could do to raises her arms in defense, a blinding and roaring explosion echoing around the beast at the center. Smoke, dirt, and data quickly scattered into the air, leaving the entire battlefield a blinding and smokey mess. But slowly, the dirt and dust would begin to settle, a bright light pulsing at the center.
"D... damnit..."
That voice, barely a whisper, coughed out low from the dirt. What stood there was no longer the vicious MeiCrackmon, but rather the Meicoomon - the very feline that they had chased out into the revised clearing. Her right arm, in particular, was already glitching in phase, data leaking out of its frame. Her left clutched around the Shinai, the feline leaning over it like a walking stick for support. She grit her teeth, looking around at the group.
So many close range blasts - surely the air was already ripe with data? The Hunter took a breath to calm herself, and started to focus - whatever data in the air would turn blue, as the Meicoomon attempted to magnetize and load it into herself.
Just a few seconds - if she could claim the data swirling around her, she could return to the beast she was a moment prior.
Log:
MeiCrackmon ignores the passive effect of System Shock, simply taking simple electrical damage.
Her frame is heavily damaged by Odin's Judgement! Her frame is heavily damaged by God Felling Blast!
MeiCrackmon devolves to Meicoomon. Her proficiency reduces to 'Upper Champion'. Heavily wounded and on her last legs, Meicoomon focuses, and attempts to load all of the surface data lost in the last exchange, into herself - including any data that would have been lost by Cloak, Dagger, K, and herself in the crossfire.

"I'm Fine~" Cassandra choked out her voice cracking with grief as she struggled out of Dio's grip though it was clear she was far from fine. The Doctor took a few halting steps forward her heart in her throat as her eyes desperately searched the dust, smoke, and haze of data for any sign of life. For sign of the twin's lives specifically.
At the sound of the laughter, barely a whisper she stiffened her grip upon her Digivice almost bruising in it's white knuckled fear and anger and there...there amidst the smoke stood the cat. The only saving grace was Cas could see the Twenty-blade as well, the metal of the sword twisted and blackened, but still whole.
The same could not be said of Cloak. The Tactimon lay deathly still at the edge of the crate, his guns completely gone, his helmet warped and eyes closed. His entire form seemed to be on the fritz shifting and going fuzzy like static. His armor broken, twisted and warped, the only sign of life the barest rise and fall of his blackened and blasted metal chestplate.
With shaking fingers Cas pulled the disposable camera from her pocket and lifting it to her eyes she forced her hands to steady as she snapped three photos of the scene before them.

All the attacks hit as hard as they could; as best as they could and the Meicrackmon itself was rent into a lower form from it. The terrible blow from the other digimon had hurt; it had hurt something fierce but she didn't care it was numb to her. She wanted this fight, she wanted to fight and wanted to end this filth that stood in front of her without a doubt. She felt her body rebel, she felt the exhaustion from Odin's judgement firmly. She felt the boost from the card; she felt the pain from the card but the battle was more important than that. The horrid wrenching of her form was still only barely dealt with by her regeneration. The last vestige of that blessing. After this she wouldn't have anything to cope with the damage she was going to take from it. She felt her body slipping, her heart beating agony in her chest. The meicoomon was right there; right there. RIGHT THERE. She let out a roar of anger that surpassed the one from earlier a thousand fold. The pure hatred that rolled and seethed in there was only a few moments away from ending in failure. She saw the blade that Dagger turned into, something slow and mighty clicked in her head... Without hesitation she leaped forward her armored hand grabbing the hilt and quickly becoming familiar with it. She felt the power that this digimon held still if not faintly; if not wonderfully. They were a good companion; someone you could trust. They knew that they could bet on the three of them to come out on top. This was a gamble wasn't it? She felt a small whisper of what she should do; what she could do and ultimately what she would do. She could feel the anger in her chest blossom with the energy that suddenly wracked her body. She could feel the power this other digimon held, she took this energy that it showed her how to use. Gracefully turned it unto her own; with her own for her own. She took it like a mother; an innkeeper; a sister in arms; nay an equal. She took this energy and when it reached it's burning crescendo she let out such a passionate roar that the words within it were nearly drowned out. From her chest a miniature sun seemed to form for all of a brief second before the massive piercing beam tore from her breastplate ripping the energy that she had been shown how to use from her and casted it in such fury at this Meicoomon that she nearly wretched right there. She could feel everything that they had to offer in this strike; she could feel the emotions of her own running thick. The glory of this kill would be marvelous. "LIGHT LANCE" battle log: -K grabs Dagger -K uses Light lance -Vallhala's regeneration ends at this turn. Attack: - Light Lance: Fires a piercing beam of energy from it's chest tearing through it's enemies defenses to do massive damage and marking the enemy with a burning twenty which harms the enemy searing away at their form with prolonged damage for three turns. Cooldown three turns. Passives: Valhalla's Regeneration 'Passive': Each post this Digimon regenerates a medium amount of health. When struck by damage, this healing factor increases to a large amount for three posts and goes on cool down for an equal cool down of whatever move was used on the host. If the move was a once per thread move, a cool down of six posts will be implemented instead.
OathSworn: Any Virus Type deals 30% less damage to this digimon. .
[RAM UPGRADE GIGA]: Crimson Mantle: Jesmon's signature cape; adjusted for size for each Digivolution. This cape has a few soft abilities each that scales with the level given. It may provide flight [if the wearer already can fly their movement is increased by one step] and it can block a single attack relevant to the power of the level of the host digimon before implementing a cool down of two posts for the block itself. This mantle may be passed to others but it's effectiveness for others is generally halved. Cool Downs: Odin's Judgement: [1/4] Valhalla's Regeneration: [0/1?]

The cloud cleared soon enough revealing that the other partners were (mostly) still alive. Exhausted and tired, but alive. Carlos sighed in relief. That on its own was reason enough to celebrate, considering the sheer volume of the blast. It was good to see everyone had made it out relatively well. K, Cloak, Dagger…. …and Meicoomon. Not Meicrackmon anymore, sure, but it seemed their Hunter still refused to stay down. “Fuck…” Was all Carlos could say, somehow both frustrated and terrified. Just what was this stupid cat made of?! She had been struck by two mega attacks, and still continued to fight back. Just what were they supposed to do to finish this fight? Dio however, unlike Carlos did not hesitate for a second, immediately charging forward as soon as he saw the small infected digimon was still around. The playing field had finally been leveled, and he was still very much in top shape compared to everyone else. Of course he would take such a valuable opportunity. Only halfway to his target did he noticed it. That maelstrom of data, that swirling confluence of blue, all of it surrounding the cat. Was she planning on absorbing it all and return to her peak of power? Dio didn’t care. He didn’t care how, nor what he’d have to do. But he was not going to let that thing live any longer. Not only because it was too dangerous. Not only because it threatened to kill all the surrounding life. But because he wanted to see it dead, because of a grudge, a searing scar forever marked on his core. Her kind had already caused him much suffering and fear, two things that he couldn’t help but feel every time his eyes met that wretched form again. To say he was tired of feeling that way would be a gross understatement. It was only natural for him to want to return the favor. Not more than a couple seconds later, he was already leaping from the top of the crater, lunging claws first in the Meicoomon’s direction, nails glowing an ominous, rage filled red. With nothing but pure, uncontainable anger and hatred, he’d bring his claws down on the feline, planning on hopefully get a good, painful hit in before K did the same. This thing was not going to hurt him. Not if he could help it. “TORMENT ME NO LONGER.” Dio runs back to Meicoomon and attacks with Viral Infection
Viral Infection: Punctures the enemy with his claws, injecting them with poison, causing great pain and mild damage over time. Poison lasts for a turn, and if the target is hit again by an attack before it wears off it takes 50% additional damage. Three posts cooldown. Cooldowns: System Shock (1/3) Red Ray (3/3) Viral Infection: (0/3)

"Tch..."
Of course they weren't going to let her be - why would they? Even as that maelstrom of data above them turned a light blue, slowly being drawn towards the Meicoomon's frame, Jesmon and the NeoDevimon were about to give her no quarter. Borrowing the Tactimon's power, the Knight built up her power, posturing to strike right at the cat. From a larger distance, Dio tore forth, ready to puncture his claw right into the target's chest.
The Meicoomon was on her last legs - but at those last moments, she let out a positively vile grin, tightening her grip around the Shinai. She couldn't stand against either attack, as she was.
But she had the data of a Renamon flowing through herself now. One Kohenkyo - one 'Displacement' - would be all that would be needed to disappear from their sights, and appear right in the center of that cloud of data. And from there, well, the path to her victory was plain as day. As K charged her blast, the Meicoomon started to focus -
"Nyah?!"
But then she stood, hunched over, unable to even move an inch. The Meicoomon was caught in a ray of light - not from K, but from behind. Through the thick wall of the forest, the Orochimon's head had perked through, its gaze fiercely settled right on the Meicoomon's back:
"Eye... Of the Gorgon."
"You little - !!"
There was little she could do from that point - the Hunter was struck directly in her chest from K's Light Lance, and Dio's claw would strike right against her addled frame. Just a bare moment later, her data shattered, red data racing like sand past the demon's claw. Three cores, radiant and pure in color, broke free from her data - one raced to rejoin the fallen Cloak, while two more pierced right into the Jesmon's chest.
All that remained of the Hunter was the data left, scattered in the air...

Cassandra forced herself to remember her duty. To remember her job as she continued to click through the photos as the cat finally, finally, fell before them. When there was only data left hanging in the air Cas stowed the camera pausing just long enough to glance over her shoulder at the Orochimon and give a soft "Thank you," before she was running. Tearing off towards her Digimon with everything she had as she activated her Clinic program and prayed it was enough. Skidding to her knees she gently took the Tactimon's head in her lap as she checked his vitals. Cloak's form though would be unable to hold out any longer as it gave in a great crash of static leaving the tiny unconscious mouse like form of a Choromon resting lightly upon the Doctor.
"It's ok. I got you. We made it. It's ok." Cassandra murmured gently scooping the little Digimon up into her hands as she turned her gaze to K searching for Dagger. The Durandamon likewise would be able to hold out no longer as the sword shifted in K's grip becoming a Digimon once more in a brief blinding flash of light before he too reverted. Leaving a stumbling Zubamon as her second partner rushed towards Cas with a sob and all, but threw himself into her arms. Leaving the Doctor to carefully shift the Choromon that was Cloak to the crook of her right arm as she reached out tugging Dagger close with her left.
"I was....I was so scared it was gonna kill you, us, everything....Fuck that thing!" The Zubamon sobbed burying his head against his Tamer's neck as he shook in her grip as Cas rocked her Digimon lightly murmuring comforting nonsense to the both of them as her clinic program slowly kicked it to work to knit their wounds.
