First Meetings (Agumaru) (Introduction)

Agumaru chuckles softly. "Don't worry White Wolf. You more surprised me than hurt me. I just wasn't expecting it. It wasn't a bad swing, either, perhaps you should see if a Kendomon wants to give you training!" The other two Digimon seemed to be just as impressed, confirming Agumaru's belief in her skills. She was a fighter, this one!
White Wolf wouldn't have to fight alone, however. Gabumon had found a Digivice. This could mean only one thing. "You didn't come here by accident," Agumaru says slowly. "Gabumon's right. You are a Digidestined. That means you were destined to come here, to be paired up with a Digimon friend. A partner that would protect you, and in return, you will help him or her grow. And since you were the one to find it - " Agumaru points at Gabumon - "You are probably the one chosen to be her partner. I doubt it is me."

White Wolf sighs. "I'm glad that I didn't hurt you two, but I'm not a fighter. I could never hurt anyone, or anything. It's a real wonder that I was able to do it this time..."
Agumaru then said that White Wolf must be a DigiDestined, which at first confused her. What was a digidestined? Then he explained what exactly it was, and White Wolf... didn't know how to respond to such a thing. "So... I'm responsible for taking care of... Gabumon, was it? Oh, no no no, I can't... I can barely take care of myself at home..."
"Me? A DigiDestined's partner? I think I'd have been told about it beforehand... besides, what about my brother?"
"Yeah, Gabumon and I stick with each other through thick and- and she just takes the device without asking," Agumon says as White Wolf takes the Digivice from Gabumon. After taking a thorough look at it, she then presses a button in the center.
"PARTNER SYNCED. DNA SEQUENCE CONFIRMED. TAMER RECOGNISED. WELCOME, REBECCA STORY."

"Not a fighter? Could've fooled me! And did!" Agumaru wonders if she is just being modest, but drops the subject. It was not that important.
What was important was White Wolf being a Digidestined. "You are mistaken," Agumaru corrects her, "Gabumon will help take care of you! He'll be a guardian, a protector, a partner... a friend. Right Gabumon?" He looks towards Gabumon with pleading eyes and a meek expression. "Please... humans must be protected... they're so fragile and only have one incarnation, one life cycle..."
Then White Wolf takes the Digivice from Gabumon, and it begins some sort of boot up sequence. Agumaru did not understand one word of what it was doing. Something about sinking... and DNA Digivolution... and sequins? He tilts his head. "I don't get it." Then it welcomes 'Rebecca Story', and the brick dino's eyes grow wide. "So... that's the truth. That's who you are. Your name is actually Rebecca Story." However, he wasn't looking at White Wolf. He was looking at Gabumon. "What an interesting name for a Digimon!"

"And what am I? Rotten Digimeat?!" Agumon asked Agumaru, clearly angrier than before at this point. "If Gabumon is going to be this human's partner, then I'm going to be her partner as well!"
"Like a Twin Tamer, Agumon?"
"Yeah, exactly! ...wait, that's a thing?" This earned a big sigh from the Gabumon.
Rebecca was mortified. She didn't want anyone knowing her real name, and this Digivice just blurts out her name for the three of them to hear! Her face was turning as red as a RedVeggiemon as the seconds go by. She was afraid of what Agumaru would say next. Would he not trust her? Would he hate her?
Nope. None of those. He thought the Digivice was talking about Gabumon. Needless to say, the Tamer and twin Digimon fell over, anime style.
Rebecca sighed. "No, Agumaru... that's my name. Rebecca Story."

"Twin Tamer..." Of course she is a Twin Tamer, Agumaru muses. The Digital World wouldn't be so cruel as to break up the siblings like that! So they'll be one big happy family, the three of them! "Congrats, you guys! You'll become an unstoppable team someday! I'm so proud of you!" (Despite the fact that they had just met and Agumaru and OrangeAgumon got into a fight)
It wasn't Gabumon that was named Rebecca Story, it was the human who already had a name? Agumaru was very confused. A human with four names. "So.... you're Rebecca White Story Wolf, or White Rebecca Wolf Story, or the Story of Rebecca the White Wolf?" After a while though, it dawned on him that White Wolf might not be her real name at all. "Oh... so the White Wolf is like your title, Rebecca? If you prefer to be called by your title, I shall do so."

Both Agumon and Gabumon were confused by the ToyAgumon's sudden shift in behavior. "Weren't... weren't you just angry at me and Agumon?"
"Talk about sudden mood swings, am I right, brother?"
"For once in your life, yes you are..." The wolf-lizard Digimon had no choice but to chuckle at that. "And White Wolf... Rebecca... we would be honored to be your partners, to help you along your journey."
Partners?! What had Rebecca gotten herself into? She was just walking to school, desperately avoiding anyone that even made eye contact with her, and now two weird digital creatures wanted to join her? This dream better end soon...
"Er... thank you," Rebecca said as she bowed, not wanting to be rude to any of them. She turned around to face Agumaru once again and sighed. "No, just call me Rebecca, since you already know... although I do ask that you call me White Wolf around others, or when mentioning me in any way. Tell others my real name and I will make sure your pieces will be scattered throughout the world."

"Slow to anger, quick to chill," Agumaru says with a blocky shrug. "Been having a bad day without a single good thing, so I've been... irritable. But then a good thing happened! This is a cause for celebration!" He was practically bouncing off the walls, trying to dance and cheer and party. His excitement knew no bounds!
However, his energy slows to a crawl as he calms down. He backs away slowly, giving the three their space. "Sorry about that... this is your special moment. This a huge important occasion, I should let you discuss things."
The mystery of White Wolf was solved. Rebecca Story only let certain people call her that, and Agumaru wasn't sure he was one of them. "White Wolf... stick with these two and you'll be safe. Gabumon seems cautious and wise - if a bit misled about Agumon species, and OrangeAgumon packs a punch! I'm sure you'll find Iki soon."

Agumon, Gabumon, and the newly appointed twin tamer Rebecca all sweatdrop as they watch Agumaru bounce up and down like a madmon, especially since he has admitted that he's had a bad day. Guess it doesn't take too much to cheer this Digimon up.
However, he does eventually get the hint and calms down. Still, the three of them didn't exactly know how to respond... but then he said things about the Digimon.
"I am not mislead - I know my Digimon species flawlessly!"
"And my name is not 'OrangeAgumon'! It's Agumon! Say it right!"
These two Digimon seemed very angry by Agumaru's words. However, those emotions quickly evaporated when their stomachs rumbled simultaneously.
"Ugh, I'm starving..."
"Indeed... it's been days since we last had a proper meal. Not a single DigiNoir tree in this entire forest..."
Oh, they were hungry? That made sense to Rebecca, since they were living beings that needed to survive. She hummed for a bit, before turning to Agumaru. "Do you know where we could find some ingredients?"

It was such a momentous occasion, and Agumaru was complimenting the Twins, and yet they still wished to argue about being Agumon? He was about to start arguing back, but then rolled his eyes and decided to be the bigger 'mon. "Okay, okay, 'Agumon', no need to be upset. Let's just agree that we're both Agumon-species, and that you have a big job ahead of you. Your bonding with White Wolf is more important than some petty argument, right?"
Now that this is all settled, OrangeAgumon and Gabumon have an excellent point about getting food. White Wolf definitely needed to eat! Agumaru couldn't let her starve to death! "Well..." Agumru thinks for a moment, "I don't have anything with me, but I could scavenge for food, or we could go to the nearest town. If you don't have any money, I can loan you a few bits for a decent meal!

Agumon breathed a sigh of relief. Finally, this ToyAgumon would stop mixing up the two species, and stop calling him and his brother liars. But then he brought up the whole 'bonding' thing with this human he just barely met.
"Look, I doubt any bonding is gonna happen here. The only one I care about is my brother, and I'm only going with because he's partners with her."
"Agumon, be polite! I apologize, my brother is a bit... erm... moronic."
The two then focused back to their empty stomachs. It had been ages since they last ate, and even then it was nothing too filling. There was no food left in this forest. Agumaru had some suggestions that confused the two of them.
"What is a... town?"
"And what are bits?"
"I would like to know this as well, Agumaru." It would make sense for Rebecca to not know what bits are, but the brothers? Well, they did spend all of their lives in the wild...

Agumaru raises his hand and opens his mouth when OrangeAgumon starts his rudeness about bonding, but then lowers his hand once Gabumon explains the dino's mental deficiency. "Oh, I see. This is a serious honor, I'm glad one of you understands that. You wouldn't have been chosen otherwise!"
Something was definitely wrong here. The two brothers don't know what towns or bits are? How have they been so isolated? Towns were popping up everywhere nowadays, it was almost impossible to avoid one. "Erm..."
Agumaru clears his throat. It was explanation time again. "Well, you see... bits are a form of currency...money.... things you give in exchange for goods and services. And a town is a place where a lot of Digimon live together and make shelters and places where you can give bits to get things. You don't have to hunt for food or fight others for territory there."

"I've never heard of such a thing before..." Gabumon admitted. "We really did live in this forest for our whole lives."
"Are there any mean Digimon in this 'town'?"
"I am confident that there are mean Digimon everywhere in the Digital World, Agumon."
Rebecca sighed. "Well, I clearly don't know my way around this place... and we probably should find food, as well as a way home for me. I can't stay here, I have school!"
"What is school?"
"Thank you for the offer, Agumaru, but my brother and I... we've grown fond of this forest, and our own way of life."

The pair lived in the forest their whole lives, and never met a single Digimon from a town or city? Either they were truly young, or lived really deep within it. Either way, they seem to have their own lives figured out. No need for Agumaru to force them into 'civilization'. There were two more pressing matters, anyways.
Rebecca Story - White Wolf - was not a native to the Digital World, and did not plan on staying. Agumaru narrows his eyes and scratches his head. "Hm... I don't know much about the human world," he admits, "But I do know that there are a lot of humans that are able to come and go. If you two really don't want to go to a town, I won't force you, but... that is the main place other humans are as well. They aren't as tough as us Digimon - no offense, White Wolf, you are pretty tough for a human! Most humans, need shelter and protection, and softer living conditions than the wild has."
The other important thing was quickly remembered as Agumaru's stomach growls - sounding almost like a xylophone. "Right... food. Time to search?"

All three of them heard Agumaru's stomach growled, and they all began to laugh, with Rebecca only slightly giggling, but Agumon and Gabumon gave full belly laughs, probably really embarrassing Agumaru in the process.
"That was funny, Agumaru! It almost sounded like music! But you have the right idea, for once."
"Agreed, let us search for food."
"I hope we find some meat apples this time!"
"Meat... apples...?" What in the world was a meat apple?
"Hm? Have you not heard of- oh right, you're a human... well, you know what an apple is, right?" Rebecca nodded in response. "Well, a meat apple is an apple that tastes like any kind of meat you can imagine!"
And that was possibly the second wildest thing that Rebecca had heard all day. "A meat... apple. Is it safe to assume that nothing in this world is going to make sense?"

"My stomach is a better singer than I am," Agumaru jokes, seemingly unaware that it is unusual for a stomach to make a xylophone sound. He is a little less happy about being told he had the right idea 'for once', however. "You don't know me... I have tons of right ideas and great thoughts!" He must admit that food takes precedence over indignant anger - especially for White Wolf - but that doesn't stop him from avoiding eye contact with OrangeAgumon or crossing his arms in an emotionally-defensive stance.
What should they be on the lookout for? What kinds of foods are there in the forest? Meat apples, of course! "Yeah, meat apples! There should be plenty out here if we look for them!" He uncrosses his arms, placing a hand above his eyes to block the sun and search the canopy. "Hm... none over there that I can see... none that way- wait... I think I see some!"
