Haru's mind was practically being turned into a tangled ball of yarn right now by all this theoretical historic and evolutionary thought relating to just how connected both the human world and Digital World really are. Was it really that crazy to think the Digital World has been around longer than she thought originally? "I thought the internet was like... a kinda recent creation, with the Digital World an unexpected thing that came with it. Like we know the Digital World is kinda connected to it, but do you think that the Digital World isn't just like, something that popped up the same time as the internet? That just brings a whole lotta questions to the table... How long has your world existed, and how much of it is really based off our own? Is it the other way around actually?" she briefly debated, though in the end decided to simply shake her head as she tried to shrug it all off. This conversation was getting far too complicated and open-ended for her to be able to follow now, least when it came to the Digital World's interactions with the human world and how both could have affected the either. "Ugh, my head hurts... Too existential for my tastes."
So perhaps her own doubts towards her role in her and Tawna's relationship as partners wasn't so far-fetched? In a way, that sorta at least made her feel better that her own problem wasn't unique... but at the same time, Mikemon soon brought up points that honestly in the weirdest ways made sense to her... but this whole time she just had not consider that some of her prior experiences were more than just a figment in her own imagination. Were those passing feelings of pain real all along? "Th-that's possible? Is... is that normal? Every time Tawna's fought in her Ultimate level, I-I just sorta thought that was cause I didn't like seeing her get hurt... like an empathy thing. But that's forreal?" she questioned, seemingly shocked by the doctor's words... but they had to have been true, right? The facts added up just so well. "I... I guess that's a good thing though, right? If I can feel her pain some, then that means we have to be close... I mean, especially if she believes she could Digivolve to Mega any time now. I want to believe there is more to Tawna and I than just being friends, and if thats just part of putting two wholes together... well, I won't be as scared. I want to be a good tamer who can support Tawna, and if I have to endure some of her pain... well thats not an issue."
Truth was, while Haru wasn't always the most intellectually savvy person... she was good at getting a read out of people. Tawna's personality has changed so much since they first met, and there were tons of factors that could have cause them besides just simple love and kindness. "I don't think she sees me as just a tool to Digivolve, but I do think she is now very careful what we do. That Arkadimon incident I think really shook her up and made her realize that... us humans are very fragile. If we die, there is no coming back... and I think that was what scared her. Not her mortality, but mine."

Well, Haru had just about reached her limit for theoretical thinking for the day - and honestly, who could blame her? The rabbit hole for these sorts of questions went deeper and deeper, and it was honestly impressive to see her curiosity stick out even this far. "Maybe someday, a great thinker will figure it out. Not me - I'll be sticking to medicine. Still, its a fun thing to poke around with sometimes. But trust me," the cat raised his soda, "I'm about where you are on this."
What the Mikemon did understand, however, was the data relationship between tamers and their partner Digimon. Seeing her shock, the Mikemon gave a nod: "Incredibly normal, yes. I'd say that most tamers experience the pain their partners feel, when they reach ultimate level or higher. The Digisoul - the energy that emits from the Digivice - undoubtedly connects the tamer to the partner Digimon in a very close manner. The more energy emitted, the closer the feeling between the two. At mega, some even share thoughts." It was a scary thing to think about, but thankfully Haru took it as a sign of support! "Heh. I see it all the time, but its always heartwarming to see these connections."
But, as useful as tamers were for energy, Haru poked at the very weakness of their battle capability - the human component itself. "Mm. It takes courage - and at times, foolhardiness - to step out where Digimon are fighting to support your partner. Though, if you're concerned on that front..." the cat tilted his head. "You do any sports? Track, or anything like that? If you're looking for 'advice', the more efficient tamers I've seen work on shot-calling and self-positioning. Having a second set of eyes is a very useful thing!"

Despite just how intelligent the good doctor was, there was a comfortable level of humanity to their mannerisms that made them extremely relatable to Haru. Despite the species and perhaps experience gap, they were able to bond over just a simple love of small talk (well, not completely small... but in general just conversation) and their similar goals. "No one knows everything... if we did, then why would people work so hard to try and learn all this stuff to begin with?" she ended up briefly adding onto the previous statement, for a moment pausing as if debating what else to say. Frankly, she was comfortable knowing she was a bit of a knuckle head... ignorance is bliss half the time after all. "Ah nevermind. I'm probably not even making sense... but then again, isn't that we're all working towards? Making sense of what can't be?" she ended up casually laughing, briefly clinking her own can of soda with Mikemon's.
Digisoul was definitely a new concept for her... perhaps since it seemed to lean on the more scientific end of things. Most people probably would have been fine with just accepting that this shit just happens, but it wasn't complete ruleless or magical. "Ohhh, so its just more or less the literal energy that these bonds make together?" she quizzically asked, her question pretty quickly answered... alongside the consequences of such. "Yeesh, talk about crazy... I guess more reason to like make sure that Tawna's Mega is one that can listen to reason if thats the case. Super Mega must be like... insanely vivid sensations." she mused, trying to outright imagine even the idea of sharing direct thoughts with another... Her mind felt cramped just by itself, how bad would it have been to be listening to another person's thoughts too?
At the very least they were both realistic when it came to tamers' main drawbacks. Humans were very squishy, and none of them wanted an unfortunate accident to happen ever. Balancing out both safety and actual help was gonna just have to be something she'd have to try to figure out how to juggle it seemed... "Guess that is one advantage you have over us doc. I mean, obviously I should try to not put myself into like the maw of every threat in our way... but I hope I can do least something to help Tawna. I mean, those cards you can get at Terminus City mall I think have came in handy a few times here and there, so I guess I'm not completely a sitting duck." she ended up commenting, figuring that indeed singular Digimon had their own pros and cons in the grand scheme of things. A mild hint of embarassment did pop up on her face, a bit of nostalgia from her days at high-school coming back. Not all good, but there was some good to it... and that was physical education. "Oh! I mean, I don't anymore since out of school... but I was on my school's track club! Honestly, not gonna lie that just this past two months has been the best workout I have ever had... all that walking in the Digital World man does a killing on your calves! Though I guess least working on coordinating with Tawna might help too. We're both I think not always the sharpest tacks around, and two minds are better than one!"

"Mhm. In its most basic sense, anyway." Again, Mikemon could have made this a lot more complicated than it had to be, but Haru wasn't shooting for the Digimon medical field. At the very least, an understanding of what happened would likely help the tamer to appreciate it, as well as get a general idea of what was going on overall. Megas could share thoughts - and it seemed Haru thought Super Mega was just 'even closer thoughts'.
To that, the cat tilted his head. "Hm. I take it you've never seen an aato reach Super Mega?" The cat tilted his head, before giving a sigh. "In that case, its called a 'Biomerge'. The resonance between tamer and Digimon reaches a peak where their cores temporarily merge together to form a single being, greatly exceeding the capabilities of the Digimon alone. In short, the tamer and the Digimon become so close, they become one."
Naturally, it may have sounded like a joke - but there wasn't a single break in the doctor's tone.
As for the risks tamers took before Super Mega, Mikemon gave a chuckle. "What, you think I have no-one to cover for in a fight? If the field club has to deal with something, I'll be protecting you, Carlos, Yukiko and Miyu, just like everyone else. Power in numbers, ya'know?" Right, that 'advantage' only existed in a vacuum - though the cards she had would definitely help. His ear twitched at Haru's sports career - good, so she already had a basis! "Well, getting a good walk through the Digital World's a start - but considering all this mess with the D-Reaper, I'd suggest topping it off somehow. Not saying it has to be an everyday thing, but, well..."
What was a good way to put it? "The Sangloupmon that might end up chasing you's not going to have their calves burning after an hour, is all."

As it turns out her theory when it came to just how close a tamer and partner could become at Super Mega level wasn't complete untrue... but this method of biomerging was where Haru drew the line when it came to "this makes sense" and "okay too weird". "Okay, now I know your just screwing with me there. Ya can't be actually serious now... Right?" she ended up trying to refute that statement, though the look the doctor was giving her said a very different story. Above everything, it was just another example at just how mystifying the Digital World and Digimon really were. It... It wasn't far-fetched even after thinking about it, as Spirit Wielders were a thing after all. "I'm sorry... That is DEFINITELY probably first place for weirdest thing for me to have ever heard. I mean... Look, I get Spirit Wielders cause they have their Spirits, but can Tamers and their partners really do that?" she questioned, still in mild disbelief of that concept. "It... it does sound extremely dangerous."
Honestly, Haru did forget that Mikemon while didn't have a human partner... he still could do plenty to help their comrades... a reminder that the club wasn't just a group of weirdoes, but a band of friends. "We all have to watch eachothers' backs, don't we? I don't know what I'd do if any of you got hurt..."
In her eyes, the club was more or less turning out to be the friends she should have had all this time...
Frankly, when it came to working herself to death and being mauled by a vampire wolf... Haru had to kinda go with the former. Guess hey, any incentive to actually get back to watching her weight was always good, and evading bloody death was definitely a good reason. "W-Will keep in mind. Maybe I could get some workout help from Yukiko. That girl is seriously too swole to control... You think she won't just die from embarrassment if I did?" she ended up joking slightly, a bit of a dorky teasing directed to one of the club's leaders. They really had one odd ensemble...
Nonetheless, it was getting around the time that some people would be heading off to bed... and well, today has been a bit of an ordeal in of itself for Haru. Unpleasant events, truths and revelations about her relation with Tawna and Digimon as a whole was a generally pretty tiring experience overall. "Well... I'll be honest with ya doc, I should probably get some sleep soon... but at the same time, all of this talking really has been helpful." she yawned, briefly stretching. She already was making a mental checklist of things to do soon... beyond heading back to the Digital World to get Tawna back, she needed to have them get checked up by Mikemon by his request. "I'll see about getting Tawna over to ya as soon as possible... Out of curio, why the sudden need for a checkup?"

"Nya?"
That was definitely a rare noise from the Mikemon, but the doctor seemed outright confused to Tawna's reaction. Despite everything else about the Digital World, this 'basic' thing was the one thing that her mind couldn't accept? Tilting his head, his ear gave a flick as Haru gave her reasoning. This went beyond logic, right? And wasn't it dangerous?
"Er... well, yes, it ties you right with your partner and puts you in the thick of the fight, but... is it really that off?" The cat questioned Haru's tone here. "Digimon can combine with each-other to Digivolve as well - why wouldn't it work the same way with humans, at least in some way?"
The 'cultural' divide aside, the feline definitely had the group's back ("Hey, its my job to worry when you guys get hurt!). Hearing that Haru would at least consider getting back in the track life, the doctor returned a nod - and chuckled a bit at Yukiko's expense. "Honestly, an overly aggressive television ad might be liable to set her off. Our leader's great, don't get me wrong, but... yeah."
He really didn't want to say more on that. Taking another sip of the soda, he heard that Haru was about to head off to bed - something that made the cat sweep his eyes over to the clock. "Shoot, this time difference is killing me." Swearing slightly under his breath, he gave a nod to the tamer: "But those late shifts must be a bit hard on ya, huh? Oh, as for Tawna," the Mikemon gave a shrug, "Its just a check-in. Arkadimon data is nasty, so I just want to make sure the data's still as it should be. The data can make Digimon a little-less able to control themselves while Digivolving - she might Digivolve by accident, for example."
A simple enough concern, but the Mikemon's tone suggested he didn't think it was too likely. "If it hasn't happened yet, its likely not a problem. Anyway... I guess I should try to hit the sack myself..."

Haru had to actually stop herself from squeeing at her roommate’s confused reaction (more or less thinking ”oh god he made a cat noise”), so it was a good thing that his answer was equally stunning to keep her from being able to react to the silly gesture. She found it incredulous, but if it came from the doctor’s mouth, it had to have been true. “I… I’m not gonna lie, it makes sense… but that is still really hard to believe. I mean, I guess I just never would have considered that a possibility since well… tamers are human, and their partners Digimon. I would have figured since humans are kinda made of flesh and blood that it would cause an issue.” she explained her personal reasons for doubting the concept, though now curiosity was showing its ugly mug. “... That is unbelievable to think about though… that any of us tamers have that potential. Could you imagine? That would be an amazing for the club to study about! Like if we could ever meet someone able to Biomerge with their partner, we could ask if we could scan and diagnose them!”
It was an exciting prospect to think about… albeit unlikely. Super Mega level was already super rare, and the only person she has seen with that power was K. Chances of meeting another tamer openly with that power? Miniscule… but maybe an option some time?
Haru was glad to see she wasn’t the only one who was suffering from time zone issues with jumping between both worlds all the time. She tended to at night plop herself over at the Digital World to get extra sleep slash do stuff, but for right now she really just wanted to stay in her bed at home. For now, she was going back to a normal human life. “Bleh, your telling me. My time schedule is out of wack since been at the Digital World so much. Its hard to get into a natural kind of rhythm now with balancing the two timewise.”
In regards to the checkup, turns out it was relating to an old friend she and Tawna had to deal with a while back. Arkadimon’s data was that messed up that it warranted a checkup? That was a lil’ frightening frankly to think about… Guess it was a good thing Tawna didn’t seem bothered by it too much, though it wasn’t without… quirks. “Is Arkadimon really that bad? I mean, Tawna seems fine… though she has mentioned she can see their memories, which well considering who they belong to is a bit squicky. Also she can kinda turn her hands into tentacles now…? She kinda skewered a rat that had got inside the apartment one time with them, so I’m not sure if that is something to worry about.”

It would be tricky to believe for a human, but for a Digimon, such a reaction was only natural. Seeing Haru's expression at the 'cat' noise, the Mikemon actually had to stifle a small blush, just now aware of how 'cute' that action made him. Was this the first time he slipped with that around the Club?
Huh. At any rate, he gave an answer: "We may originally be made of different parts, but once you're in the Digital World, you're made of data - just like everything else in there. You're able to breathe our air and eat our food after all - those feats wouldn't be possible if you weren't made of the same stuff we are. Of course, that follows the same the other way around, too." At the science club eagerness, Mikemon could only chuckle: "Well for most, its hardly a feat that can simply be showed off. It takes quite a bit of energy to pull off!"
That aside, it seemed that Haru knew just what it was like to deal with jet lag. Stretching out his own paws, the Mikemon gave a yawn, just trying to convince himself he was tired - though Haru's last minute question perked his ears. What made an Arkadimon so dangerous? "Well, unlike most Digimon, Arkadimon have an interesting trait: they don't have a unified form. Everything from Fresh through Super Mega is considered the same species, and they can move through the forms at relative will."
"Loading that data," Mikemon continued, "Carries the risk of picking up that very dangerous trait. Being unable to control what form you're in can cause very dangerous incidents - whether its using too much force, or being unable to draw the power you need, because you 'slid' too high or low. Its, um," the cat scratched the back of his head, "rare, but it happens."

A Biomerge would have been an amazing subject to study, but at the same time it make sense for there to be limitations to hold it back, not to mention that the chances of finding a willing participant would be astronomically rare, as even Megas were rare to find... the next step up would be like trying to find a needle in a hay stack! "I'd imagine... Super Mega I can't think of being a very easy form to hold in any scenario! I mean, not to mention it probably being super rare..." she ended up commenting, taking one last swig of soda... an interesting thought coming into her head.
"You know, if Tawna actually can Digivolve to Mega, do you think that its possible that later...?" she for a moment asked, it clear as to just what she was implying... though in the end seemed unconvinced. That was just silly. There was no way she and Tawna could ever be THAT close, could they? She honestly had doubts in the matter entirely. "Nah, probably not."
Okay, so Mikemon had some pretty good justifications as to why maybe Tawna loading Arkadimon's data was a bad thing. Multiple different levels of the same species was intriguing to say the least... since it kinda defied the expectation that Digimon exclusively changed forms to grow stronger through Digivolution. "Well, glad the one Tawna fought was only Ultimate level then..." she mused, not one to enjoying dwelling on THAT particular incident. "So for instance, she could try to degenerate to Champion level.. but go all the way to Fresh? Or if the other way around... Mega?" she questioned... definitely able to see where that could DEFINITELY be a problem if it existed.
Of course, thankfully it didn't seem that Tawna was suffering from that at a glance. That cat REALLY just seemed to be made of stern stuff digitally then. "Tawna seems to be fine at least though... Guess Arkadimon's data just isn't spicy enough to hurt her? Beyond like now able to do a pretty good impression of a squid monster, she doesn't seem worse for wear outside of probs the... I guess mental stuff." she ended up musing, though soon began to dwell more than just the Arkadimon data itself... "Do you think she... I dunno, struggles with herself? She really didn't seem bothered bout absorbing Arkadimon earlier, and you know... I think she'd be completely willing to do it again too. She can be harsh, and I worry she may take things too far one day."
The girl's face grew solemn, she taking a deep breath to calm her nerves. "I'm just worried she'll do something we'll all regret. Something that can't be fixed. What if she loads someone that... well, didn't actually deserve to be loaded? ... Again I mean."

Of course, curiosity was abound - could Haru and Tawna actually be that close? The tamer seemed to doubt it - perhaps even still confused about the idea as a whole - simply pushing the idea to the back of her head. "Hm... Tawna's nice and all, but it might be a bit much to be on the same page as her. Still, who knows, down the line?"
And yes, Arkadimon data was a little screwy. This was quite a different beast than even the little 'power shift' that Mikemon would have pulled off in the Frozen Mausoleum - the corrupt Digimon just naturally lived in that sort of state! Still, her assessment was quite correct, the Mikemon returning a nod: "And in the latter sense, you have to worry about her burning through her power reserves too quickly. Again, its a rare condition - but loading an Arkadimon is rare enough to begin with."
Thankfully, Tawna hadn't shown any symptoms as of yet - though it could be possible that it only hurt her upper forms. To that 'squid monster' bit, the feline chuckled: "Concerning as that may look, that's par the course for how these sorts of things work." Of course, that only pushed the question to that ethical point:
How far would Tawna take it? "... All I'll say is, I trust her judgement enough." The cat's tone was pretty level, on this sort of topic. He didn't recoil at the thought of her loading Arkadimon, and even now, he was fairly quick to answer. Perhaps the doc had also loaded a 'mon or two in his time? His own abilities didn't exactly match that of a 'cat', at least. "At the very least, she wouldn't do it for the wrong reason."

In a way, it was good to know Mikemon wasn't sugarcoating that frankly it was a somewhat unlikely possibility. Tawna was her best friend, but there still was so much the two of them had to work out still. "Perhaps one day... Maybe then I'd be able to understand the stuff she has gone through." she briefly spoke, closing her eyes as she softly took in a breath of fresh air.
Even now, they had hurdles to face.
"Your right... I have to put my trust in her. What she did back there in the Village of Beginnings I completely disagreed with... but she was doing what she felt was right. Maybe she wasn't a good person back then, but she is now." she spoke. She was disgusted by the concept of loading and killing another Digimon (especially as they could easily be just allowed to have their egg reform back into a Digiegg), but she at the same time understood that it wasn't something she could understand quite like Tawna. For the cat, it was perhaps just seen as another aspect of their life. "... She isn't dumb. I think she knows very well what the consequences are with killing and loading a Digimon, and I should trust her to balance right from wrong."
Haru's ability to keep her attention around her surroundings was fading now from tiredness, the girl cutely letting out a yawn as her eyes seemed to blink slower than normal. "I don't know bout you Mikemon, but I really maybe should get some rest... Got to get up for work again tomorrow morning, so I shouldn't waste too much time." she spoke, though a gentle smile formed on her face as she stared at the Champion level. "Thank you... I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have someone to talk to about all this."

All in all, well, this talk had been good for both of them. Even if Haru hadn't completely understood Tawna's action - even if she was still nervous of the actions of the Meicoomon as a whole, the tamer seemed to have a better mental grasp of it all. Just twenty minutes prior, both Mikemon and Haru had been on the brink of tears, and now the two were simply spending the evening away, talking about science, tamers, and their Digimon.
"Mm. Well, it won't be just her - I'm sure Tawna looks to you in that regard as well." Perhaps that was just the Mikemon being hopeful, but somehow, the cat didn't feel that he was entirely wrong.
Or perhaps the late night had just gotten to the both of them. Nodding at the tamer, the cat stretched out his arms, slowly peeling his way off of the couch. Seeing that 'stare', the Mikemon returned a nod and a smile back to the tamer. "Any time. And while Tawna's out, just remember to keep me in the loop. Better to have a Digimon at your side in the Digital World, even if its not your direct partner!"
He gave a smile at that, followed by a wave, before heading back to his room. His bed amounted to a pile of blankets in the corner of the room, a few feet from the air conditioning, but what else did a cat need?

Despite the intensity of the conversations prior, Haru's mood had considerably improved since they began talking. Despite several unpleasant truths being forced into play, Haru had time to recover... and now, it was time to just push her worries to her side for now. After all, Mikemon was right... Tawna must have been thinking of many of the same things even right now. "... I'll be there for her. She was abandoned once... I won't do the same." she softly spoke, closing her eyes briefly as she smiled lightly to herself.
Admittingly as of now, her utility to the club was null beyond being just an extra pair of eyes, but she wasn't outright useless. For now though, it was best she tried to keep the whole "Tawna being awol with a murder coon" thing underwraps for now... at least with the rest of the club. "I'll keep it in mind, but I don't think it'll be a problem... Really doc." she reassured the doctor, giving him a soft nod and wave goodnight before heading off to her own... flopping herself onto her bed.
Glancing at the window sill by her bedside, there was a four-leaf clover... the same one Tawna spent an entire day picking clovers for. Haru stared at the dried up plant, lightly smiling at it as she sat up to turn off the lights.
