Part 1
The sun was breaking through the blinds of his window giving sign that morning had arrived. This was something that he was dreading because he was about to start his first year of high school. Not only that despite living in the city for a few years now he still wasn't used to the noise the city held.
The boy reluctantly rose from his bed sitting on the corner slowly wiping the sleep from his eyes. After a few moments he finally got the motivation to stand, and get dressed for the day. After he finished getting ready he walked out into the living room where he saw his mother staring blankly at a picture of his father on the wall. It had been a few years since he had passed, but he could feel that his mother was hurting worse than she had let on.
Slowly the boy walked over to his mother, and wrapped her in his arms. ”I miss him too mama.” He would mutter as a tear fell from his mother's eye. His mother would quickly wipe the tear, and would gesture him to the table. “You have to eat baby today is your first day, and I don't want you going on an empty stomach.”
The boy then quickly scarfed down the food that his mother had prepared for him. He wasn't really sure where she found the time to make him food considering she was almost always working, but she did. As he stood to leave the table he walked over to his mother and gave her a kiss on the cheek. “Bye mama I love ya.” He would shout as he rushed out the door to his impending doom that was high school.
Once he arrived at school he walked towards his homeroom class where he was greeted by a bully who went by the name of razor. The bully backed him into the corner clenching his fist prepared to assault the young man. “Heya farmer boy why don't you head back to fields, and leave the city to civilized folks!”
The boy would sigh as he raised both his hands in the air to show them that he didn't want to fight. “Listen guys I don't really want to fight with you; I'm just here to learn and go home.”
His responsible attitude angered the bully causing him to throw a punch in his direction. The boy would easily sidestep and deliver a powerful punch to the gut doubling the boy over. “Don't mistake my kindness for weakness. Working those fields did more for me than just put food on the table.” He would mutter as he walked into the room taking a seat at an empty desk. During the first few minutes of waiting for the class to begin he couldn’t shake the feeling that he was going to get in trouble for the prior incident. To his surprise nothing really out of the way happened to him for the remainder of his time at school.
Then it was time to head home…
On his way out the door he began walking towards his house when out of the corner of his eye he would spot two guys walking up behind him. Trying to avoid another conflict the boy began to speed up, but as he sped up so did the goons that were following him. What had he done to deserve such a greeting? In a last ditch effort the boy sprinted as fast as his legs would take him when he would notice an alleyway off the beaten path where he would quickly duck in. He hunkered down behind a couple metal garbage cans hoping that they didn’t notice him because he had nowhere to go at this point.
As he was hunkered down he would notice sitting next to one of the receptacles was a large light blue egg with dark blue triangles scattered across it.

Niku had never seen an egg this large or with this design in his entire life, and he had lived a great farming area in Japan prior to his move. Something deep down inside the boy just told him to take it, and without a moment's hesitation he put the egg in his bag, and ran home. Once he was home he took the egg from the bag, and placed it on a pillow, and wrapped it in a blanket for warmth. “Don’t worry little guy i'm going to make sure you survive.”
