For anyone that knew the programmer well it would have probably been odd to see her in such a frilly low cut pink dress, those trademark pigtails swapped for a down do' to make her cosplay of Chi the chobit authentic as possible along with a pair of ears. In fact the only thing not quite correct about the ordeal was the fact she was accompanied by a furry rabbit and fox. "So this is cosplay!" Talia saw no reason not to bring the two to the organized gathering in the park, figuring it would be more beneficial than leaving them cooped up at home; not to mention the twins had a healthy curiosity about human culture and what better place for them to people watch than at a cosplay convention? Plus if Tohru & Simba were going to be her partners they had to know that cosplay was a big part of her life despite that she kept it secret-ish from her friends.
"Yup! At first I was gonna dress up you guys but figured baby steps." There was a bit of smugness to her voice, as if she knew what exactly the response from them would be. "Hmmph, I may be cute and furry but I'm not a doll you can dress up, and definitely not a baby!" Typical Tohru, always the practical one. "I bet Simba would look cute in a dress though, kekeke!"
Funny enough the dragon had been lost in thought about how it might be fun to dress up for this kind of occasion but his sister teasing him pulled him out of zoning out. "I wouldn't wear a dress, dresses are for girls, I'd wanna go as a dragon from Dark Souls!" If there was one specific thing that had cemented the trifecta that was Talia and the twins, it was their mutual love for gaming - it was funny how household appliances terrified them but monsters with jagged teeth didn't seem to scratch the skin off their backs in the least, probably because of experience? For example, at first the two of them had believed the washing machine was some kind of swimming pool, except that while they were inside, Simba had accidentally pressed the spin button and needless to say they now believed it was some of whirlpool monster, a discount charybdis if you will.
Holding the holosuited Simba in her arms as she browsed stands of goodies, Tohru in rabbit form sat perched on the girls shoulder, looking at all the figures with high price tags, still unable to understand why her partner wasted wages on these useless things. As a digimon, she didn't fully exactly understand the money system of humans yet but was wise enough to know there could be better things to use it on than these things but whatever made the girl happy right? "You should get that one! It kind of looks like a digimon!"
It was a doll of of Mokona from the series Magic Knight Rayearth, a very cute one at that, big enough to snuggle. "Dolls aren't really my thing, would you two like it? You have to promise not to fight over it though!" Come to think of it, she hadn't really bought either of them any presents since they'd become partners. "R-really? I mean uhhh - sure!" Tohru would totally cuddle with it but wouldn't tell ofc. "Yeah! If you guys see anything else you like let me know!" Never the touchy feely type, that seemed to be Talia's way of showing her appreciation to the twins, and for some unexplained reason, the two of them knew that - unbeknownst and unexplainable to outsiders, the three of them just... got each other. "So soft, warm.." Simba nuzzled against the doll before Talia put it in a bag, just before the fox set his nose to the air. "I think I...sense another digimon here!"

Miyashita park was slowly turning into Miyu's favorite place in the human world, she can be seen here almost everyday carrying her Tanemon disguise as a potted plant, today was different tho since she wasn't hiding her partner, well not entirely, you see today the park was hosting some kind of anime/videogame convention and this type of events always have a lot of interesting items, so to enjoy more the event and not worry much about the disguised the chinese girl figured that the best hiding place was at plain sight and with that in mind she's carrying Tanemon on her head acting like if it's somekind of hat.
"I feel weird... I mean it's cool to be out of the pot for once, but kinda beats the purpuse if I still can't talk or do anything... I miss my bed" Bloom sighed, although she got to admit that from Miyu's head she can see everything compare to the comfy pot.
"Shhhh! Told you is just so you can enjoy this too, tomorrow you're going back to the usual disguised" Said Miyu
There were a lot of interesting things to buy, from small dolls to mangas and cards and of course the famous cosplayers, if only Miyu had a camera that it's not the one on her cellphone, a couple of people asked were she got that cute "hat" to which she responded that it's something she got from an event on China, that way no one would really investigate that much, figures that if it is from China it's probably a bootleg and with that the girl was safe.
"Miyu... I don't want to interrupt but I feel two digimons nearby" Bloom muttered
"You sure? Could be a problem?" It was kinda weird for digimon to be on the real world unless they were partners of a human, but she had to be sure
"Don't really know... Let's just stay alert."

The floral, garden like scent coming from Tanemon was potent and powering enough to have collected the disguised dragon's attention, standing out from all the other scents at the festival - as in, all the people and food carts and stands. "A digimon?" At this point Talia had yet to meet (or understand) that not all digimon were friendly, not because she was naive but because she had yet to have an experience with a malevolent digimon.
"Is it with a human or by itself Simba?" She did know that it was possible for one not to have a partner, which made her wonder if that was a lonely existence - then again K didn't have a human and seemed perfectly content, having Joseph as a companion and all. "Hmm I can't tell...too many humans, you all smell alike, pfft!" Welp, hopefully she smelled good to him? "Hey Talia, there's a crepe stand there, can we get one please please?" A tiny fuzzy paw belonging to Tohru pulled on her shirt in an attempt to get the woman's attention as she spoke to Simba. "Sure thing!" Like they needed more sugar but eh at least they could run it off in the park?
And while the woman ordered the crepe, a particular critter sitting on top of someone's head like a hat stood out to the holosuit rabbit - she had never seen a Tanemon before but something along the lines of instinct just told her it was a digimon. "Over there!" Putting his nose in the air again, foxy Simba confirmed it was indeed the fragrance from earlier. "Thats it!" Tohru shushed her brother. "Not so loud dodo, they'll hear us!" His bushy tail wagged with excitement, hardly noticing the scolding in fact. "Yeah! Inside voice!" At least he tried? Tohru sighed. "Here's your crepe!" The fox climbed on Talia's shoulder before they all retreated to a bench. "So, anyone got an idea for how to check if that digimons a digimon? In a subtle way of course." Hey! Tohru's idea was subtle...ish.
After finishing the treat, the blonde approached Miyu with the twins, the rabbit sitting on her shoulder watching the plant closely. "Hey there! I'm Talia, and I couldn't help but notice your adorable hat, any idea where you got it?" And while the humans were chitchatting, Tohru reached over with a paw and pulled on Bloom's leaves as if attempting to get a reaction from the poor thing. "Eep! Sorry, my rabbit is a little too curious sometimes, bad Tohru!"

Miyu was looking at some plushies when a girl wearing a frilly pink dress got near and asked about her "hat", she was accompanied by a small rabbit and a fox, odd couple of pets but she wouldn't deny that they look cute! One of them tried to grab one of Bloom's leaf but the chinese girl was faster and move the Tanemon out of the way, otherwise the not so awesome "disguise" (if you can even call it that) was gone.
"Easy there little buddy, it looks like a tasty plant, but it's not" She laughed. "This hat is a weird mascot for a brand of veggies that we have on China, it's kinda popular and I saw it and couldn't resist on buying it! Oh sorry, where are my maners? My name is Miyu Feng" She finally introduce herself doing a small bow
Tanemon was place on the chinese girl head once again, the small plant keeping an eye on both pets, something was odd about them, she couldn't really point out what but definetly there was something wrong about them.

“Ooh, like a pint sized Jolly Green Giant?” Ugh, idiot - THAT was her big plan? If that thing came to life with all of these people around it would cause a scene for sure. “Haha yeah, pets are impatient sometimes aren’t they? They see food or something that looks like food and its all over.” Tohru scoffed, offended at the prospect of being labeled as a pet. "How dare she, I am no such thing, I am not some mongrel who requires feeding and timed toilet breaks! Ugh, there’s no time for this, I must find another way to confirm if that creature is a digimon.” Unfortunately it’s human was paying too much attention right now for the rabbit to go for a second attempt, so for now Tohru would simply watch it like a hawk to see if she could catch it move (that or possibly make it uncomfortable enough with staring it would twitch).
“This nosy girl is Tohru, and my fox here is Simba. Are you a regular here?” Talia wondered if it looked odd to others that a fox and a rabbit were so mellow with each-other, being they were naturally predator and prey. “These two were actually raised together, hence why they coexist so well - that and Simba here wouldn’t harm anything except maybe a peanut butter jar.” Or get his head stuck in one - that was a fun time - especially since he hadn’t been thrilled to get his neck all oily or take the bath he was forced into after, thought he had to admit he enjoyed those fizzy colorful things the woman put in the water that smelled so good, it made the experience a bit less dreadful. Unlike his sister, the dragon often wondered what life as a simple pet could be like, being just a normal animal all the time keeping his human company instead of being concerned with the digital world - it sounded like a simple enough life for Simba- no hard labor, no responsibilities.

"Oh yeah I know, I used to have a rabbit when I was like six years, they tend to eat anything and everything... If you think that "the dog ate my homework" is a bad excuse, you should try to convince someone that a rabbit did it" The chinese girl laughed remembering a that kind of "bad" experience, certainly this girl had an interesting pair a fox and a rabbit usually don't go good together.
Miyu couldn't resist and gave a soft pat to both pets, small and cutesy animals were her weak point, since Tanemon was still on her head now the little plant was sure that something was odd and being closer to the "pets" just reveal what it was, those two are digimon! Now the main question was what kind of intentions has this Tamer and her partners, she doubted they were going to make trouble in a place filled with people but who knows?
"Where did you get your two friends? It's kinda weird to have a rabbit and a fox getting along even when they were raised together" Miyu ask still ignoring that those weren't normal animals, while the Blonde girl was distracted by Miyu's question Bloom looked at the rabbit and teasingly stick her tongue out mocking the disguised digimon before keeping her act of stuffed toy/hat again

“We were never allowed to have pets growing up, but I’ll take your word for it! My grandma used to complain about the local wildlife eating her garden.” Simba was far more receptive of Miyu’s stroking than his sister, who simply remained stoic while the fox nuzzled against the chinese woman’s hand. “Simba loves any and all attention, but Tohru usually takes a bit more time to warm up - she tends to think she’s too grown up for pets, you could call her a cat in a rabbits body!” The hare twitched, how dare she compare her to a snooty feline who pooped in a sandbox and ate dead fish from a can! And to rub it in even more, Talia stroked the rabbit between the ears with a smile - teasing her was just too much fun sometimes!
“Uhhh.” The question stumped Talia for a good thirty seconds as the programmer tried to think of a decent excuse since she couldn’t exactly tell the story about how she found them trying to break into the office vending machine. “From an...animal adoption center! They came in together but the uhhh...staff, had no idea who they were or where’d they come from.” Okay so it wasn’t a complete fib, she’d just changed the names and locations a bit so the story was more plausible - the tone in her voice softened when she said the last part, as if it was sentimental. “I work pretty much all the time and pets aren’t really appropriate for someone with my lifestyle but I guess sometimes good surprises happen when you don’t expect it.”
She smiled as she spoke, stroking the twins heads again, hardly noticed the angry glare Tohru was giving to Tanemon after the baby digimon stuck her tongue out at her, infuriated by such a rude gesture from a digimon at a lower level than herself, so much so that the rabbit copied a gesture she’d seen in lots of movies, motioning to her eyes with a paw and then pointing toward the cute little plant, her way of silently saying, ‘I’m onto you, planthead’. "By the way excuse the silly outfit, I'm supposed to be Chii from Chobits, I never dress this...girly in real life, most of my friends actually don't know about this little hobby." And she planned to keep it that way.

Miyu giggle at little when the girl compared the rabbit with a cat, that sounded right once she saw the reaction of the rabbit, that stare was propper of a cat, the story of how they met was funny fate works in weird ways indeed, surely the little friends are in good hands with this girl, the chinese girl kneel and kept petting the little fox, the little plant on the other hand was on the perfect spot to look eye to eye the small cat/rabbit, Bloom wanted to tease a lot more the little disguised digimon but sadly she couldn't do it or it'll reveal herself, so she just stare at it with her ditzy smile hopefully that would be enough to anger it even more.
"I wish I could have a pet but probably will try to eat my plants and I'm also not that much in home" She said an then gave a nice look to the girls costume. "You look great and not silly at all, I would totally dress like that on my daily week, then again I'm the only one that wears a Qipao all the time and I think I'm the only chinese here so it kinda make sense" Miyu laughed

“Plants! Are you a botanist by profession? Maybe you can help me then, I just got an apartment recently that happens to be part of a duplex house and it came with a backyard that’s kind of bare right now, it could use a vegetable garden, or a few flowers.” Maybe it would discourage Simba from digging in the neighbors also too that way. “But I’m not good at that sort of thing you see, I’m much more suited at the things mother nature didn’t make.” Indeed, Tohru was getting irritated by the expressions of the mischievous plant digimon but was attempting to remain strong. “I will not back down to some child! How dare they think they will disturb me.” If anything the rabbit would be the winner of this round for sure.
“And I’m the only American, thought for an American I think I make a pretty mean pork cutlet - basically, I came here to do a study abroad program, got an internship and just never had a reason to leave I guess. How about you? Were you born here or did you migrate over from China?” Talia had yet to visit there but she had always wanted to see the Forbidden Palace so the country was definitely on her list of places to go, maybe not for a while though since she had yet to see the whole of Japan or figure out how traveling with these two was even possible, could you give sedatives to digimon like people did with dogs and cats? “I’ve only ever really been to the states and here but I’d definitely like to travel more when my work settles down.” It wasn’t her day job that was a problem, that was what vacation time was for - but her hacking website wasn’t something she could really leave unattended for that long. “Say, you wanna grab a coffee or tea or something? I never really know which one people like, hence me saying both.”

Bold from her to assume Miyu was a botanist by just mentioning plants, the chinese girl didn't have what people would say a "Green Thumb" if it wasn't for Bloom probably most of her plants would be dead by now, but you can't say I have a digital potato that gives me advice with plants that would be totally weird.
"I wouldn't say exactly a botanist, but I do know a thing or two but my roomate does know a lot and helps me" Could this count as a lie? Technically speaking Miyu live alone, yet Bloom was kind of a roomate since it would be offensive to tag her as a pet or just a decorative plant.
So she's american? That put a smile on Miyu's face so far it's the first american she met and it seems that she knows how to cook that's a huge plus on her book, she was a huge fan of american culture.
"Oh, I just move maybe a month or so..." She wasn't entirely sure with all the time she spends on the digital world and the fact that time on that world moves faster than in this one, her internal clock and sense of time was all over the place, but she was almost sure it was a month, maybe a month and a week. "I was looking to start my life from 0, be a little more independent and all that, Japan was the closest place I had" She laughed.
Tea or coffee? Interesting question, she had never drink coffee knowing the effects of caffeine and her already hyper active attitude it always seemed like a bad combination, so Tea was the smart choice.
"Well, I could use a cup of tea, but... I don't want to sound mean... It's bad to talk to strangers" She said trying to point out that the girl hadn't introduce herself yet. "Once we're aquaitances we go for the tea" She laughed
Bloom on the other hand while having fun mocking the little rabbit she wanted to talk and say to Miyu that those two are the digimon she felt, at least they didn't seem dangerous yet, for now she will have to keep playing doll.

“Perfect! I could definitely use their help, I mean it doesn’t need to look like it belongs in Better Homes and Gardens or Martha Stewart Living but it would be nice if the yard looked a little bit less like it belonged in a David Lynch script, you know?” Adulting was such a weird thing - as a kid all you cared about was how to avoid homework and read comics and now she was concerned with how to get those stones out of the ground. “I’ll use a jackhammer, I’m not all that afraid to get my hands dirty to be honest. Except maybe with spiders, they give me goosebumps. But I can’t bring myself to squish them, I just put them outside with a cup.”
The girl mentioning she’d only lived in Japan for a month made Talia recall her first days here for a moment. Has it really been a year? Guess time flies when you’re busy. “I kinda came for the same reason, well for a study abroad program specifically and I knew as a computer science major I’d have no issues looking for a job here in Japan after I graduated.” It was a different story in the states unfortunately, where they were more people who needed jobs than actual ones available so the competition was intense and overwhelming, especially in the silicon valley esque tech fields, that went for any popular careerpath really.
“Ah...uh…” Upon realizing she hadn’t introduced herself yet the woman turned red a little bit, stuttering. “Hahaha, guess I just kept rambling so much that my social skills went out the window! Anyway, I’m Talia Brandt, nice to meet you Miyu!” She still felt completely and utterly socially awkward, had she been sitting behind a computer screen too long?! Or were the twins just starting to rub off on her? Out of spite, the rabbit made a cartoony like silly face towards the small plant, not to scare or annoy her but to see if she would laugh and be caught off guard, exposing that she was indeed a digimon.

Martha Stewart? David Lynch? Yeah none of those names ring any bell for the chinese girl and surely won't do it for the plant expert... Wait.. JACKHAMMER?!? As in the construction jackhammer? Miyu honestly didn't know what to think surely she must be getting it all wrong, awww she can't bring herself to squish spiders, after the week Miyu had on the digital world if she sees a stag beetle she's gonna definetly squish it, that Kuwagamon leave a pretty bad impression.
"I'm pretty sure my friend would like to help!" Said Miyu "If she made a complete plant killer like me have a couple of nice roses and lillies I'm sure she can help some one that do want a garden"
So she came for a study abroad program, interesting the chinese girl would love to add something to the conversation but even tho she loves techonology she barely knows how everything works, so not plants nor technology that takes out two possible topics to talk...
Seems that she caught her indirect was caught and the blond finally introduce herslef, Talia Brandt a really nice name! The little plant on the other hand still had fun with the little bunny that silly face it make was enough to make her smirk, yet not enough to make her laugh out loud and reveal herself.
"Well then Talia, follow me I know a nice place not too long from here that has a good tea!"
Miyu took her new friend to a small coffee stand it had a couple of tables and seats scatter around the park, normally she would leave Bloom on the table, but the risk of Talia catching the littl "toy" blinking was something that she thought, so she leave the Tanemon on a seat next to her, since the plant was small even sitting on the chair she couldn't reach the table so it was safe from weird looks, except maybe from the disguised digimon

“Sounds great! I could go for something sweet too maybe, are you fond of baking? Or cooking? I’m not much of a baker unless it’s something really really easy but do enjoy making food.” You’d never catch her making fancy cakes with characters, that was a complete and total given - decorating and tediousness were not her forte by means - well, coding was tedious but writing code and trying to make the perfect icing flower were two very different things. “And apparently make really good pork cutlets according to my boyfriend and his uhhh...friend, but I’m sure you can get better ones elsewhere.” Or were they were bad that they’d driven Carlos away? Had he been lying about her meals tasting good all along?! Okay now you’re overthinking it Talia, focus on the matter at hand. “Making authentic japanese food isn’t something I’ve quite mastered just yet, but hey everyone has to start somewhere right?”
The twins meanwhile had managed to slip away while Talia was focusing on talking, curious to see if they could get the tiny potato to move or speak, except this time the two of them were tag teaming, with the rabbit attempting to keep Bloom distracted while Simba would reach up and poke her, except that as he did, the fox slipped off the chair, kicking up mud everywhere as he fell, much of which splattered in the direction of poor Bloom, causing Tohru to cover her paw with her mouth in a very not rabbit like way, before giggling a little bit, as the fox scrambled to his paws, only to slip and slide in the mud again while Talia went to help him get to his feet. “Simba! You’ll never learn your lesson about playing in the dirt will you? Sorry about your hat Miyu! I’ll definitely pay for the dry cleaning, I promise.”

"I enjoy cooking too! Honestly sometimes I wonder if I'm a slave of my kitche or my kitchen is my slave, I just love everything cooking related and I would love to learn new recipes!" She commented, it was nice to see that Talia also love cooking she can already feel that they're going to be good friends, maybe even let her know the secret of that "hat" "I'm sure your pork cutlets are great, but if you need a second opinon you can alwasy share something with me... OH WE CAN CHANGE RECIPES! I'll make something chinese for you and you make your cutlets!" The beginning of a nice friendship indeed
Bloom on the other hand had to keep an eye on both bunny and fox since they were double teaming her but no matter what they try the little plant wasn't going to lose! Or that's what she thought... Yggdrasil only knows what the little fox was trying but he slipped and splat mud everywhere, Bloom normally don't have problem with being dirty she's a plant after all but mud was different than regular dirt it's cold and sticky, seeing the rabbit laughing just made the plant more angry and she couldn't hold it anymore.
"OK THAT'S IT!" She jump on top of the table and then shoot seeds at the bunny. "YOU WANT A FIGHT YOU GOT O─" Miyu was quick to cover the little plant's mouth "Mhm... Mhmmm!!!"
This might look weird but I swear I can explain..." She thought for a couple of seconds looking for some excuse. "I'm a ventriloquist and this is my do─" Tanemon bit her tamers hand.
"VENTRILOQUIST MY ROOTS! Those two are digimon too! there is no need to hide it anymore" She said angrily
"You're still on public you stupid potato what did I tell you about speaking in public?"
And so both started arguing, what a weird scene must be for someone who doesn't know about digimon, thankfully Talia did know and probably she was on these kind of situations before,

“I agree! So many people I know who live alone like me just order out all the time because they feel there’s no point of making food for one person, but I just like homemade stuff - when I was in college I got sick of the dining hall food pretty fast. It’s that whole thing about how you learn to appreciate something once its taken away from you.” Definition - greasy cheeseburgers, eggs made with egg beaters and rubber pizza. “I’d love that! I’ve had my fair share of chinese takeout in the states but never what I’d call authentic chinese cooking, nor do I know anything about it aside from some stuff on youtube I’ve seen.”
Talia wanted to laugh at the way Miyu and Bloom were arguing but didn’t want to be rude so she just kind of stood there a second unsure what to do? The twins however were delighted, snickering until Talia pinched their tails making them squeak. “Not so fast, you’ll be getting a bath when we get home Simba.” Crap, not the tub! The dragon was not a water lover by any means - he hated the feeling of the warm bath water on him, the scent of the soap, the hands scrubbing him - it was all in all a very uncomfortable experience. Hmm, should she try to neutralize their argument? Did she know the woman well enough that it was her place to get involved? “Your partner is right though! Simba is actually a dragon species digimon called hackmon, and Tohru is his part dragon part mammal lopmon sister - weird combo I know, I don’t get it either.”
She’d walked over to Bloom, kneeling a little, picking dried flaking mud off the poor little potatoes leaves. “And you must be some kind of plant species digimon? Sorry that Simba got you dirty, he’s a bit of a klutz sometimes! And Tohru can be nosy, but they mostly mean well!” The woman found the small seedling to be very cute, wondering if she evolved into something pretty and majestic like the tree spirit Sakuya from Okami. “I hate to make you move again Miyu, but maybe we should go somewhere less public now that the cats out of the bag?” Maybe she could see them the backyard she’d mentioned? Or was it too soon for her to invite them over? “My office isn’t far from here, and no one will be there since it’s the weekend!”
