The tunnel to 1 XT-C Dome was a relatively narrow and humid place. It was easy to see it had been abandoned for a long time and it was actually an unfinished passway. The chilling metal of the walls that spread around the environment, along with the cold water that reached around Amelie's ankles, finally combined with the fact that she was actually barefoot, would definitely give a freezing sensation to the girl's body.
After walking for around 10 minutes, just like the sign at the beginning announced, the girl would discover how the narrow arc for the tunnel stretched into a wide entrance, leading to a dome-shaped metallic structure.
1 XT-C Dome
The place was definitely huge, even though rather empty. Only some sort of gigantic device could be seen at the middle of the place. It had multiple rectangular machines around it with a series of different colored buttons and levers. All of these machines seemed to be connected to the central structure of the engine by thick woes of an also wide palette of colors. Such engine had a very complex form, but its most eye-catching component was a huge ring of around 10 meters radius over some sort of pedestal with stairs that lead right into its bottom part. Bottom line: all of this machinery seemed to be connected to a giant portal, which would match up with the Dr. Tempra's final report found by Amelie and what that computer told her back at the 7th floor.
At the top of the ring (currently out of reach by the girl, due to it being over 20 meters in height from her) some sort of very ancient totem could be seen. It was of a dark green color, with small rings surrounding the central log.
Suddenly, some sort of cracking sound echoed around the place; it was coming from the tunnel the girl entered through.
-That probably means the water started shattering the wall back at the XT Building, right at the beginning of the tunnel. In some minutes, this whole place will be flooded. -A child-like voice would catch Amelie's attention. -You really have made a big mess around here, haven't you, human? -If she tried to look around, the girl wouldn't found where the voice was coming from.

Overall, the whole journey had been fairly straightforward. Even if the tunnel was wet, cold and slimy, this was way better than trying to escape from the clutches of an Anomalocarimon, a Mantaraymon and an (now dead) Ikkakkumon. Yet... something felt somewhat off about this whole deal.
Maybe it was just her, but the brunette felt like not everything has been said and done just yet. But hopefully, that gut feeling was just wrong as she could just... get away without struggling too much.
Enough of that, however. The walk had been relaxing in its own way, but the tunnel was over and the dome was in front of her. Without doubting all that much, Amelie trespassed.
She examined the room around her intently, taking note of the weird engine and portal that occupied the central part of the room. But most importantly? Her eyes were immediately affixed at the artifact that resided atop the whole thing; not even a second after looking at it, the primal urge to acquire it took over her brain, almost overriding her perception of everything around her for a couple of seconds. It was almost like... a hypnotic trance.
Luckily, and even if that urge still resonated through her brain strongly, she was brought back to the reality by the crackling sound that ensued. Why was it coming from behind her? Did it mean that the digimons she had left behind were catching up to her or... something else?
Well, her answer had been answered rather promptly, and her thoughts couldn't be farther from the true. There was one thing that had just rubbed her the wrong way about the voice behind her, however...
"Not my fault that three digimon tried to eat me, honestly! Else, I'd have just exited without touching anything; blame those three. Or I guess they're two now?" That was a simple truth, after all. "Anyhow, it's usually impolite to address somebody without introducing yourself first. Name's Amelie; who are you?"
In all honesty, she was refraining from evolving and reaching that totem with a good deal of her willpower; after all... she wouldn't be able to communicate with this strange being anymore as soon as she did so.

The voice echoed throughout the dome, while the conversation continued. -I guess you're right, you really had no choice, had you? -A very soft chuckle could be heard, like the one of a kid. - Those were wild digimon, just roaming around the place. They got drawn to the building due to the extra sound made by the machines that you turned on, so it was... kind of your fault wasn't it? Now, about what you've done here... -The nowhere to be seen interlocutor continued. -... I wouldn't say we can just leave it at that, can we? You went up to the seventh floor and actually had a talk with my wife, Dr. Aquarela; you browsed through some of our files and discovered much more from this place than anyone had so far. -Still, whoever was speaking remained unseen. -And that's saying a lot, because I've been trapped here long before Elysium even sank, Miss Amelie. At first tiny, a ball of light began forming in front of the girl, taking the shape of a small digimon as it grew, like a hologram. -But by any means, don't get me wrong, I'm glad you've gone through all of this. -The voice could still be heard, this time like it was coming from the light orb acquiring a shape. - And since I'm grateful, I will reply as many questions as I can to you right now. Sadly, we don't have as much time as we would like to chat, as you may have noticed from that cracking sound, so you should choose your questions wisely, shouldn't you? -Finally, the light took the form of a transparent child-level seal digimon. -Regarding who I am... -... Dr. Tempra the Gomamon, at your service. Or at least, what's left of me, isn't it? -Again, a childish giggle ensued.

At least on that regard, Amelie was... willing to defend her position. This was being unfair, and that was, to say the least! "Hey. I didn't point a gun at any of those digimons and told them to try and eat me; besides... two champion levels and one perfect level, trying to hunt... a lone human? Not to say they wouldn't get enough data for their little bloodsport to be worth their while, they also had to share... among three? I'm gonna be that person and say that there was something else, rather than the machines doing their work. That was unnecessary overkill in so many senses..."
She wasn't buying this had been her fault; it seemed so stupidly unlikely that she thought the voice near her was just mocking her. Yet, on the other side... it seemed that it meant to help her? Things were so confusing...
Still, things weren't quite making sense until the hologram began to take form, becoming... a Gomamon, and none 'other' than Dr. Tempra. The brunette's eyes widened at the revelation, and even if she still wasn't all that comfortable around somebody that could be as arrogant as the Dr., she had urgent questions to ask, and she wouldn't let something as petty as a personal quarrel to deter her from those.
"Well... if you're up to it, I've got some questions. What happened to the Dr. Tempra that's not a hologram? Could you complete the trans-dimensional device successfully, or was this sabotaged before anything could be accomplished? Who attacked this place and why? And... the notes on the first quarantine room; what they were about? I wasn't able to read them."
That'd be a good starting point. Of course, she didn't expect for all of those questions to have perfect answers, but anything would help, in all honesty. Suddenly, one last question sprung to her mind. Probably really unlikely, but there wasn't harm in her trying.
"Is there any way to get you out of this place with me?"
Even if the guy's attitude wasn't her cup of tea, Amy still felt like she should help in any way she could.

For being a hologram seemingly trapped in an ancient structure for years, Dr. Tempra seemed to have a good sense of humor, even if Amelie's comments weren't made with comical intentions. -Unnecessary overkill seems right. -He said chuckling. -They might have been drawn by the power aura that thing releases. -A quick glance was given by the doctor towards the totem above the portal. -But that's just a theory, in all honesty.
Even though Amelie seemed kind of reluctant towards the Gomamon, Dr. Tempra seemed to actually like the girl. -You're full of questions, aren't you? -A small giggle ensued. -The youth is so full of energy, so full of dreams. "No dream is futile" a friend of mine used to say.
-I'm not just a hologram, Miss Amelie; I am part of these two buildings' digital core. That means I can see, feel and hear everything that happens around the buildings, being through security cameras, computer's screens or the card sliders at every door. That's how I've been able to see everything you have done since you entered this building. Just so you've got an idea, my wife, Dr. Aquarela did the same with the library on the 7th floor, the one that you visited earlier; she merged her data with the central system to protect the information in it. Sadly, the source of energy at that place wasn't enough to keep her connected after giving the information she gave to you.-A sad countenance could be seen in Tempra's face. -I thank you a lot for going up there and freeing her before coming down here. -A bow of gratitude ensued this sentence.
Zevolt XT: A story that sank into the depths of time. The transdimensional device was completed, even though we weren't sure if it would work. You read some of my notes back in Quarantine Room B, regarding how the leader of this operation wanted to do the testing of the device as soon as possible, even though the tunnel wasn't completed to take the subject to this dome. I knew it wasn't safe, but couldn't convince him otherwise, so the day of the testing, that day described as "tomorrow" in my notes, we were attacked by a terrorist group. To this day, I still don't know much of them, but they destroyed most of the upper parts of the building, as you could see, looking for information regarding Project ARK, probably because they wanted to use that for their own purposes.
For good or worse, I made a decision: I wanted to save Subject B from these terrorists so I injected him with a devolving substance to make him small and took him through the tunnel, which he previously couldn't fit due to his size. Once we got here, I knew they would find us sooner or later, so I decided to send him through the portal and at least complete the testing. It was the only thing I could think of knowing I was about to die. Sadly, the portal was only calibrated to receive an adult digimon through it, and since subject B had devolved to go through the tunnel, he couldn't reach that stage again at the moment. I then fused with subject B to become an adult digimon, and went through the portal. Sadly, it wasn't quite the same, my body was not prepared to endure this, so part of my data was split and send back here. Since that part of my data didn't have a body anymore, in a desperate measure, I merged with the main computer you can see there and managed to get to the digital core of this building, making me one with the whole structure.
Surprisingly, the terrorist never actually got to this dome. I saw them through the security cameras being attacked by subject C, who was released to protect the building. He was held at a Quarantine Chamber you actually got to see around the fourth floor. He was just a creature built to destroy, and that's what he did. He then left, and I can only wonder what could have happened to him. Since then, I haven't been able to leave that core, and I've been trapped here, just observing what happened in this building through all of these years, along with my wife. Elysium sank not long after, and no one ever found us.
About the device? I would dare to say it was completed, it's just that the subject used wasn't ideal, since he wasn't the one we ran the tests with, he wasn't quite the subject B the portal was prepared to receive. This new subject B just remained trapped inside the portal, without being really anywhere, nor in this world or in the other world where we were aiming to send him. It's sad to think he has some of my data inside of him.
-Oh, about the notes in room A, we really don't have time to go through the details of that right now, but they are related to the tunnel's structure; the clear explanation on why you are barefoot right now.-Tempra lowered his gaze, to then look at Amelie's feet and giggled. -It also contained some information about our other two test subjects: A and C. -In a short laugh that only denoted some sadness, Tempra looked at Amelie with a smile. -You, humans, are quite something huh? You remind me of Dr. Blakes, Miss Amelie. He was a great human, always willing to help. -Tempra missed his friend, that much was clear. -Sadly, I can't leave this place with you, since my data is trapped between here and subject B's body. -A brief silence ensued, the hologram then let go a sigh. -But I do want you to do something for me if that's possible.

This story was... depressing, in all honesty. Reality worked in funny ways, but Amelie was sure of one thing; whoever was responsible for this... dramatic result, for the lack of a better word, was probably a monster. Whoever was behind this catastrophe couldn't be a good person or digimon.
For a second, she felt dumb about being annoyed at Dr. Tempra; being confined inside a machine for who knows how much time, and even in the company of his significant other, the loneliness he must've felt was probably nothing short of crushing. The brunette's expression managed to awkwardly shift back and forth between a frown and an awkward, yet sad smile.
As distressing as it could be, in all honesty. And the most frustrating part is that Amy herself couldn't see what was the point of the raid, of sacrificing so many lives for something so selfish... it just sickened her.
She managed to listen to the whole tale in utter silence, finally mustering the courage to speak once the Dr. was done. "I see. What happened in here is undoubtedly a tragedy, even though it seems like everyone tried their best." After a small pause and trying to swallow the knot forming in her throat, Amelie continued. "You don't have to thank me for anything; I'm glad I could help in any way. Honestly."
Yet... one last quest remained, one last favor being asked, one last task she had to accomplish. "What do you want for me to do? I'll be glad to help to the best of my ability."

The cracking sound coming from the tunnel, made clear the time was getting more limited for the pair holding this conversation. Nevertheless, Tempra felt like finishing this chat properly was the least he could do.
-I don't know if it might be the nostalgia of this moment, but I really think you're a kind human, Miss Amelie. -Closing his eyes with a smile, the seal continued. -When my wife, Dr. Aquarela, and I saw you enter we were really surprised to see someone in here after so much time. I liked you, but I had my doubts about your abilities, I must admit. It was my wife who decided to give the last bit of energy that was still stored on the seventh floor's library to give you the information that you needed. You see, she and I had been waiting for someone to free our data from here, but our core being in opposites sides of the building, made this really hard to accomplish. By giving this last fragment of energy, after the library was destroyed, her data was freed from the bond to the digital core of the building, and she finally passed away. I told her this was dangerous, that if after she passed away you died or gave up on your task before reaching me, I would remain alone in here forever. -A giggle ensued. -Then, she told me this:
'You have to trust in the new generation, Tempra. They are the force capable of changing this world. I trust that this girl will get to you, and free your data too. After that, we'll finally meet again at the Village of the Beginnings.'
After quoting his wife's last words, Tempra let a sigh go. -She was right, wasn't she? You got here, into the dome. And I assume you know what's the favor I'm about to ask you. -Raising his gaze, the hologram looked at Amelie into her eyes. -I need you to release my data too, so I can finally be reunited with my wife. -More cracking sounds could be heard coming from the tunnel.
-It won't be that easy as it was with Aquarela, though. The source of energy keeping my data attached to the core of this building is that totem over there, we found it around Elysium ages ago, and had used it as a source of energy for years. As you can imagine, this is also the source of energy making the portal work, so when you take that totem off there, three things will happen: -Raising his holographic paw, the digimon proceed to explain. -First, this part of my data will be released from the digital core of this building, which is what I need. Second, the portal will stop working, releasing subject B who is trapped inside of it. And third, due to the beast released inside the dome, all the doors will close due to security protocols, so you'll have to defeat that monster before getting out of here.
Knowing what he was asking was hard to accomplish, Tempra still decided to trust Amelie and his wife's judgment. -As I told you, Subject B has part of my data too, so I won't be able to truly die and go to the Village of the Beginnings if you don't kill him. I know I'm asking for a lot... but I know you can do this, Miss Amelie. My wife trusted you, and... well, she was always right. -The seal let go a chuckle, maybe the last of this inorganic life he had been living for years.

It had been long and relatively extense. Also tackled with praise and compliments, even though the meaning of those was completely lost when in comparison to the task at hand. For a second, Amelie's eyes widened; things had gotten serious really fast, but it wasn't like she even had a choice in the first place, was it?
"So, what you're asking me is to basically mercy kill the amalgam that resulted from your data merging with the test subject's." It was funny how that lengthy explanation could be compressed into a single statement. It didn't sound as nice and glamorous, but it was still the gist of the matter, much to Amelie's concern.
After a sigh, she just... shrugged. At least everything had fallen into place and her course of action was as straightforward as it could be. "I'll do it, even though I can't imagine what this whole deal is about when that thing is being used as an energy source. But it's too late to think about that, anyway."
D-Tector drawn, some rings of fractal code were already beginning to form around Amy's right hand. "If you wanna say something or bid goodbye, now's the time. Chances are we won't see each other again. I know this might be selfish, but I'd like to ask for a favor of my own, too."
She'd wait for Tempra to do share any parting thoughts or words before speaking. "If you get reunited with your wife, manage to remember at least a fragment of this whole mess and get to have a baby girl together... could you name her Amelie? That'd flatter me by quite a bit."
That's all the brunette would say before evolving into Siftermon. Floating towards the egg her psyche had craved for so long was almost a cathartic feeling. Without a second thought, the aberration would snatch it, then proceed to wait for its opponent.
Things were about to get interesting.

While the cracking sounds kept echoing through the tunnel and into the dome, the conversation drawn to an end. -That's exactly it. But I considered it was important for you to understand why you were doing it and what the whole task implied. -Tempra turned at the portal, while Amelie got her D-Tector out and prepared to digivolve. -This is a strong creature, Miss Amelie. Please, be careful. -A serious tone on this last sentence. -I think it's not preposterous to think Aquarela and I may remember this. She's the toughest Marin Angemon I know, after all, I don't think her data would be reset that easily. -Apparently, the Gomamon had still a good chuckle inside of him, as he released it after uttering this sentence.
Closing his eyes proudly the doctor nodded, agreeing at Amelie's request. -We will, it's a beautiful name, after all. The name of our savior.
Tempra mustered a smirk upon being asked for some farewell words. -I know it can be sort of useless to tell you this now, seeing the way you already are but... After you're done with this, Miss Amelie, just keep living to your fullest, never be afraid of trying new things or marking out unexplored objectives, make everyone who believes in the new generation proud! -Just like this, and after Siftermon had taken the totem, Tempra's hologram would vanish in thin air. Immediately, all the gates scattered around the dome were covered with some sort of sturdy metal plate, making each exit impossible to access. The computer's screen showed the words 'Digital Hazard', turning on the portal, a circle of light covering its insides. Seconds later, a tentacle started coming out of the gate, it seemed like a head itself, with a mouth and a purple tongue sticking out of it. Another tentacle followed, to then give room to a whole squid-like creature with enormous teeth and marks all over his body. Once it came out completely, the creature of around thrice Stridermon's size roared, making the whole dome tremble. Without further due, the creature extended his left tentacle straight towards Siftermon, trying to wrap her with it, to then, getting his right tentacle closer, lick the digimon's body.
ExD Gesomon is trying to replace Siftermon's Reprocess with ExD Nature: Poison!
The tunnel's entrance is cracking, if the entrance breaks, the dome will be filled with the water coming from the Zevolt Building and ExD Gesomon will be able to escape through there. You must finish the battle before the tunnel's entrance breaks!Turns before the dome is flooded with water: 10! Nature Infuse: By licking the enemy with one of his arms, ExD Gesomon injects ExD Nature: Poison to an enemy , replacing one of their passive with said skill for three turns. If the enemy has no passive, the passive will temporarily replace their lowest cooldown active ability instead. Three turns cooldown.
ExD Nature: Poison [Passive Ability]: All of this Digimon’s skills become poison based, poisoning the enemy when they strike. Just by holding this passive, and while it's in their moveset the user will also remain poisoned, its health being drained a minor amount per turn. All poison based attacks are 20% more damaging. If the opponent uses a copy type move, the move is automatically forced to copy ExD Nature: Poison and the enemy will hold it for three turns after using the copy type move. If the enemy uses a copy type move after having ExD Nature: Poison already between their passives, the countdown for the turns they will be forced to hold ExD Nature: Poison gets reset each time they try to copy.

Who would have guessed? Amelie had warmed up to Tempra greatly; maybe hearing his story and getting to know that he's been imprisoned for hundreds and hundreds of years had managed to reach her heart. Or maybe, the fact that in a distant future, a digimon bearing her name would hop around the Digital World, possibly having some adventures on her own and making her parents proud of her. Wouldn't it be great if she were a Syakomon? The sight of those little shellfish always made her smile.
In all honesty, neither Amelie nor Siftermon could care less about the creature that was emerging from the portal. There was a feeling of pure and unadulterated pleasure and joy that acquiring yet another spirit brought. The aberration didn't waste a second in order to evolve to that next form, knowing more than well what was coming, and knowing more than well what she had to do. It was time to fight, and using anything less than her full power would be unfitting. Sides, she had to see how this form could do, and how well it'd handle when pitted against an opponent of roughly equal strength. The newly-evolved digimon engaged the Gesomon head-on, keeping her momentum while trying to not get too injured by the oncoming attack. The most obvious course of action seemed like tangling in the melee. Just then was when it noticed the type of game it wanted to play. Interesting, and even a little boring, but something Wimon couldn't deal with; after closing as much distance as it could, a series of electrical arcs —or not— were unleashed from the aberration's body, its goal to injure the Gesomon was much as it could. Pity Wimon wouldn't have a lot of time to enjoy itself, but... that was fine, ultimately.
—Siftermon (H-Hybrid Spirit) evolved to Wimon (Beast Fraction). —Wimon gets hit by Nature Infuse, Reprocess being supplanted by ExD Nature: Poison. —Wimon is using Volemic Ignition, ideally relatively near the Gesomon X. —Wimon gets damaged by two instances of ExD Nature: Poison. Volemic Ignition: Electricity Poison (I guess?) courses through the digimon, ready to be discharged through 'hot spots' on its body. The charge burns so hot that unfortunate victims will begin to feel their blood boiling, dealing immense amounts of pain. Possesses short-range capabilities if the electricity arcs, otherwise it may be used in a direct attack. Relevant passives currently active. ExD Nature: Poison [Passive Ability] [Two Instances]: All of this Digimon’s skills become poison based, poisoning the enemy when they strike. Imperial Decree [Passive Ability]: When a member of the Council wants to get a point across, denying that notion is just a bit of a hard task. Abilities performed by any Council members completely ignore the effects of passive defensive abilities that might affect them in any way. Assimilate [Passive Ability]: This digimon gains perfect understanding of the effects of any attack that she would be subject of. She can use this knowledge to fuel some of her other abilities (notably, Surreal Memoir). The total number of foreign abilities she can remember per form (using this or any other means) varies according to her level, starting at one passive and one active at Rookie/Child, two at Champion/Adult and so on. —Stolen Memento becomes replaced by ExD Nature: Poison. *Stolen Memento [Passive Ability]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*ExD Nature: Poison [Passive Ability]: All of this Digimon’s skills become poison based, poisoning the enemy when they strike. Just by holding this passive, and while it's in their moveset the user will also remain poisoned, its health being drained a minor amount per turn. All poison based attacks are 20% more damaging. If the enemy uses a copy type move after having ExD Nature: Poison already between their passives, the countdown for the turns they will be forced to hold ExD Nature: Poison gets reset each time they try to copy.
—Willful Desire becomes replaced by Assimilate. *Willful Desire [Passive Ability]: This ability can be replaced by any passive ability this digimon has learned about. When this ability changes, it must remain active for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Assimilate [Passive Ability]: This digimon gains perfect understanding of the effects of any attack that she would be subject of. She can use this knowledge to fuel some of her other abilities (notably, Surreal Memoir). —Surreal Memoir becomes replaced by Volemic Ignition. *Surreal Memoir: This ability can be replaced by any active ability this digimon has learned about. This ability is subject to the cooldown of the last ability that it mimicked. When this ability changes, it must remain as it is for at least three posts before being able to be changed again.
*Volemic Ignition: Electricity courses through the digimon, ready to be discharged through 'hot spots' on its body. These sort of techniques were impossible to dodge for Gesomon. Even though the dome was fairly big, the squid was huge, and the room for him to move was reduced. He squealed in pain upon receiving the technique, collapsing into the ground, apparently, the creature had let his guard down, expecting the damage to not be as devastating, for some reason.
Antitoxin tries to reduce the damage taken by Volemic Ignition by half!
Antitoxin's effect is negated by Imperial Decree! ExD Gesomon takes full damage!
Angered, and still moving erratically due to the effects of Wimon's attack, the squid opened his mouth and the two smaller cavities on each tentacle, sputtering a dark, ink-like substance from them, covering the whole dome: its walls, its floor, its machines, and even Wimon if she didn't dodge. In the end, the whole place would be covered in this liquid.
ExD Gesomon is trying to use Noxious Field!
Turns before the dome is flooded with water: 09!
Noxious Field: ExD Gesomon shots out an ink field of a 100-meter radius. By conducting electricity, this field inflicts a small amount of damage to any digimon inside of it every turn while also lowering their speed by 50%. ExD Gesomon is not affected by this ink field in any way. Three turns cooldown. Three turns duration.
Antitoxin [Passive Ability]: Poison status effects do not work with this Digimon, while poison based skills deal only half the damage they would deal originally.
Everything was going according to the plan, the two digimons now facing each other directly; tentacles and limbs thrashing against each other, just to see who'd come on top, and while it was true that Amelie was on the losing side regarding how everything seemed to be slowly sapping her own life force, no direct attack had affected her just yet. She would be able to keep going for a while, unless something catastrophic happened. The obvious solution to that? Delete the squid before its flabby limbs could concoct whatever they were brewing. There wasn't much Wimon could do about the cloud that enveloped the whole dome and added a third layer of poison to Wimon's body, even if that gesture seemed a bit strange, in hindsight. Shouldn't the digimon be worried about the opponent next to it? Either something was up, or this guy had its priorities a bit skewed. It wasn't time to complain, however. This was going to be interesting. After all, if one shock hadn't been enough... what about two? The discharges themselves had been bigger and stronger than the aberration's previous attempt, and the reason for that was a bit obvious. There was a strange symbol currently drawn across the abomination's midsection. Gesomon would surely appreciate it!
—Wimon gets afflicted by Noxious Field. —Wimon uses Digital Hazard on itself. —Due to Slip Through Time, Wimon uses Volemic Ignition two times on Gesomon. —Wimon is damaged accordingly by two instances of ExD Nature: Poison, Noxious Field and Digital Hazard. — ExD Nature: Poison remaining duration: 2 posts. — Digital Hazard remaining duration: 3 posts. —— DA-33Card Name: Digital Hazard Type: Upgrade Rank: Platinum Duration: 3 Posts Effect: The Digital Hazard symbol emblazons on the target Digimon's chest, removing all thoughts but battle from their mind. It gives huge boosts to all stats at the cost of steadily and badly hurting them. Relevant passives currently active. ExD Nature: Poison [Passive Ability] [Two Instances]: All of this Digimon’s skills become poison based, poisoning the enemy when they strike.
Slip Through Time [Passive Ability]: Bending the laws of time, this digimon can attack twice per post every two posts.

After having released all of his ink, the squid immediately took a defensive stand, in order to withstand as much damage as possible from Amelie incoming attack.
Noxious Field has spread through the whole dome and it's starting to erode the walls! (-03 turns on the counter each turn while Noxus Field is active!)
Turns before the dome is flooded with water: 06
The walls are about to crumble due to the acidness of Gesomon's ink, now the counter decreases x2 every turn!
Having swirled up his tentacles around him, Gesomon tried to withstand Amelie's technique, only to find her throwing it again. Not only this defensive stand didn't seem to work, but the damage this time had been enhanced. The creature growled in pain, slamming one of the walls with his right tentacle, completely losing control of himself. It then could become obvious that the creature was attempting to flee since the first attack he received.
Turns before the dome is flooded with water: 05
Gesomon's skin was starting to shatter, to peel like some sort of fruit. The squid kept moaning in pain, to finally release one more technique out of pure frustration. His tentacles started moving erratically attempting to bite Wimon, while he launched his body up front to bite her with his bigger mouth, every time Wimon would dodge a bite, another would be coming from either a tentacle or Gesomon's main mouth until the squid was completely exhausted.
It was easy to identify the sound that came right after. The walls from Zavolt Building had broken and the water was starting to go through the tunnel making its way to the dome.
Turns before the dome is flooded with water: 03
Double the Toxin: ExD Gesomon bites the opponent with both his tentacles and his mouth, infecting them with a program that lowers their resistance to poison by 50%. For every extra mouth (after the first one) the creature manages to bit his opponent with (3 max.), this technique doubles its damage. Finally, if the enemy is poisoned, this skill will double its damage once again, once the biting count has been made. The lowering in the resistance to poison has a 3 turns duration. 3 turns cooldown.
Duration: 2/3 Cooldown: 1/3
Antitoxin [Passive Ability]: Poison status effects do not work with this Digimon, while poison based skills deal only half the damage they would deal originally.

Time was running out, and it was running out fast. The Gesomon's plan became as clear as it could be; shattering the dome as soon as possible, so he could be free and escape Wimon's clutches. Regrettably, that wasn't something that the digimon could or would allow; part of the promise it made to a certain Gomamon involved the destruction of this digimon, and that's exactly Wimon would accomplish, to the last consequence. The aberration wouldn't relent, and would press the assault on the weakened digimon at every chance it got. It was true that the plethora of effects currently weighing on it was starting to become a liability, but that was something it would have to bear for now. While Wimon didn't even try to avoid the oncoming attack as it would be a waste of precious time, the digimon took measures to at least survive the Gesomon's relentless assault at all costs. And while... Amelie could feel that she would probably not be able to withstand another strike like that, it was time to... reply in kind. A fourth, and hopefully final surge of electricity/poison would be unleashed while trying to trying to maintain the point-blank distance. With any luck, that'd be enough to deal with the digimon once and for all. If not... the all or nothing gambit would be in vain. Water would begin flooding in at any moment now.

Aside from the pain of receiving such a brutal attack for the fourth time and at such a short distance, Gesomon's roaring denoted some extent of frustration too. Maybe it was the fact of having finally been released of his slumber to die immediately after at Wimon's hands. Maybe it had to do with the irony of his body, the one made to release poison in great quantities, actually eroding from the effect of the venom. Or maybe, it had to do with the doubt of if he will ever reincarnate and have a second chance at living.
Memories of his time along Tempra and the others test subjects and how the Gomamon even tried to protect him when the raid to the Zevolt building began simply went through his head. The regret of not having the best life possible and the anger of having a bright future taken by these terrorists engulfed the squid's body. He had volunteered to be a test subject in the experiments that could someday save Elysium, and he had ended like nothing but an abomination.
Well, not without at least giving it a try first.
Noxus Field's effect keeps eroding the walls! Turns before the dome is flooded with water: 0! The water is starting to flood the dome!
With his body slowly discomposing from Wimon's final technique, Gesomon tried to swim against the stream of water entering the building, but he had no strength to make it out into the depths of Sunken Elysium. In a final roar, his body shattered into two pieces of very similar yet still different data that floated upwards, disappearing into the distance. His roar echoed through the dome. It was the end of Subject B.
FINAL BOSS: Subject B (Tempra's leftovers form) - [ExD Gesomon] has been defeated! Amelie won! You saved Gomamon's data!
Amelie would be left inside the flooding dome with very little time. The water had started entering the place coming from the tunnel that connected with Zevolt building, which could mean Mantaraymon and Anomalocarimon could appear in any minute. She had no choice but to leave now.
Just like that, Amelie would leave the 1 XT-C Dome, the Zevolt Building, and the mysterious Project ARK behind. She had gone into Elysium's depths to find out about the rise and fall of the group that once tried to save that majestic city. She had unveiled a lot of mysteries and left some covered too. Her actions might even lead to the birth of a new digimon who would make a human very happy someday.
But most importantly, she showed the power of the new generations to a Gomamon that, during years, had been... Awaiting in its House; Dreaming.
